This is the problem: Especially players who play from a car may have noticed that PokéStops are significantly harder to spin. Since the latest update, the maximum speed at which you can spin PokéStops has been reduced. Additionally, this results in a bug that makes the PokéStop unspinnable for a short time.
Spinning stops from the car is almost impossible. Some players who are on bicycles or walking report similar issues.
That’s why many players are upset
This is a problem: In the cold winter days, there are many players who play from their cars. To spin a PokéStop now, you almost have to stop to get items from the stop.
If you go too fast, the message “Try again later” appears. This message continues to appear even when you stop and try to spin again. Only after more than 10 seconds can the PokéStop be spun again.
Not only a problem for drivers: On Reddit many pedestrians have also complained that they have similar problems. Often, a PokéStop was unspinnable for a long time, even though they just walked by.
This is the worst: Especially players using Pokémon GO Plus complain about this issue. They often have to manually spin the PokéStop instead of using the GO Plus.
Niantic has reacted: The game developers have noticed this problem as well. They have already tried to fix the error. Nevertheless, many players continue to report issues.
Especially drivers still receive the message that the PokéStop can be spun later. “Dutois” writes on Reddit:
I parked next to a stop and wanted to spin it with the GO Plus, but it didn’t work. The stop could only be spun manually 15 seconds later.
What does that mean for the players? The problem occurs especially with the GO Plus. Therefore, it is advisable to set the gadget aside for now and handle everything manually. Niantic will certainly continue to work on it and try to fix the errors.
