In Pokémon GO starts A shockingly good time
. In the event you can particularly secure three Shinys.
When does the event run? The event starts on March 31 at 10:00 AM. It ends on April 6 at 8:00 PM.
What’s in it? Unsurprisingly, the event focuses on Electric Pokémon. Exciting: We will get a spotlight hour every day during this time, after the regular Tuesday variant of this event was removed.
From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM you will find the following Pokémon in the game:
- March 31: Voltilamm
- April 1: Pikachu
- April 2: Magnetilo
- April 3: Lampi
- April 4: Pamo
- April 5: Dedenne
- April 6: Wattzapf
Exciting: Currently there are speculations about whether another Pokémon other than Pikachu will appear on April 1 – after all, Pokémon GO traditionally likes to give its players a little April Fools’ joke. You can read more about the speculations regarding a possible Mimigma debut here.
What is certain, however, is that the event is great for shiny hunting.
Three Shinys are waiting for you in the Electric Event
During the event you can catch three Pokémon that have an increased shiny rate. All three can be found in the wild, as well as in some field research.
- Pikachu gets an increased shiny chance. It evolves into Raichu. It is not particularly strong in PvP or in raids.
- Lampi is also easier to catch as a shiny. It evolves into Lanturn, which is a good Pokémon in the Super League.
- Dedenne completes the trio. It has no evolution and is currently not a particularly strong attacker.
If you’re looking for combat power, Lampi is the best choice. But overall, this event is more for shiny collectors.
Additionally, there will be a GO Pass at the event. The milestones of the pass are as follows:
- Rank 1: Double duration for incense
- Rank 2: Double catch candy
- The Deluxe Pass also brings double catch stardust at Rank 2
