The Environmental Week has been announced in Pokémon GO. There are various debuts, but also some restrictions.
What kind of event is this? The Environmental Week is an event that has taken place in previous years and has caused frustration among trainers in the past. It starts on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM, and runs until Monday, April 20, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
There are 3 different debuts in the game, as well as an increased shiny chance for several monsters. However, there are a few restrictions.
Catch a new monster – theoretically
What is the new monster? Salanga, the snake-like ground monster from Generation 8, will debut at the event. For 50 candies, you can evolve the monster into Sanaconda. However, Salanga is expected to appear in desert-like areas. Therefore, it may be difficult to find such an area in Germany.
What other debuts are there? You can also catch Tentagra for the first time as a shiny at the event. The monster is expected to appear in forest and meadow landscapes.
Galar-Corasonn can also be obtained for the first time in the costumed form with pink sunglasses at the event. With a bit of luck, also as a shiny. This monster can be found on routes and in 7-km eggs.
Which monsters are there at the event? You can find various event monsters in the wild, in eggs, and on routes.
In the wild:
- Samurzel*
- Formeo*
- Salanga
- Schligda*
- Tentagra*
Salanga, Schligda and Tentagra are expected to appear more frequently in their natural biomes. It can therefore be assumed that you will only find Salanga in the desert biome, Tentara only in forest areas and meadows, and Tentagra only in the biome of beaches and waters.
Formeo is expected to always appear in the weather-appropriate form during the event.

On routes:
- from April 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM until April 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM:

- Galar-Corasonn with pink sunglasses
- from April 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM until April 20, 2026, at 8:00 PM
- Lapras*
- Galar-Corasonn with pink sunglasses*
Whether the monsters from April 16, 2026, to April 18, 2026, can also appear as shiny is unknown. While it is generally assumed, they are not explicitly marked in the event announcement.
All monsters marked with a * can also appear as shiny.
What bonuses are available at the event? The following bonuses are active during the event:
- increased chance for shiny variants of Lapras, Togetic, Formeo, and Unratütox
- increased chance for shiny variants of Galar-Corasonn with pink sunglasses and Formeo in eggs
- event field researches
- event GO-pass
What’s included in the GO-Pass? There will again be a separate GO-Pass for the event, where you can receive various items and encounters with event monsters in both the free and paid versions.
In addition, there will again be 2 milestones that unlock bonuses that are active until the end of the event.
