A player was gifted with loads of loot in ARC Raiders. Originally, he didn’t even have a weapon with him.
What did the player do? A player shares on Reddit that he went into a match in ARC Raiders naked and only equipped with a guitar. He spent the entire round just sitting at the exit and playing music – like a true bard.
He also shows a screenshot with loads of loot, including really good and rare items that he claims to have received from the community. Among the gifts are a Bobcat, a Bettina, and 3 (!) reactors of the Queen.
It is also evident that the Raider has not equipped any augment or shield – this suggests that he didn’t go into the round with a full loadout, laid a Queen, and then pretended to be a bard with only a guitar in the inventory.
Does it really work? How successful life as a bard in ARC Raiders is depends, of course, on how friendly your lobbies are, and whether you are lucky enough to meet benevolent Raiders.
In the comments of the Reddit post, some players report that they tried it and were shot. Others were gifted but only received useless junk like cables and ARC.
However, one player claims to have met the bard. At least he encountered someone on the map “Buried City” who was playing the guitar. He then gifted him 1-2 cores, among other things.
Where can you get a guitar? The guitar was added in update 1.7.0 in December and can be purchased at the vendor “Shani” in Speranza since the end of January.
