It occurs time and again that players are banned in various games, even though they have done nothing wrong. A player from Legion TD 2 also believed he was innocent, but was quickly brought back to reality, and the community celebrates it.
Why did the player complain? A player wrote about his ban in the multiplayer tower defense game Legion TD 2 in his negative review on Steam and claimed that he was innocent.
He himself writes:
You get reported for pushing workers and not disabling auto-send in an auto-chill mode, which makes no sense. Then you get suspended for said reports. Imagine suspending a player for auto-sending in an auto-send mode.
via Steam
The developers of the game read the negative review and did not want to let the player’s statements go unanswered. The interaction made its way to Reddit, and the community is amused.
Streamers on Twitch also repeatedly struggle with bans:
Developers respond to the review and are celebrated for it
How did the developers react? The player’s negative review is now circulating on Reddit, as the developers did not refrain from responding to the player’s claims – and this reaction from the developers is generating excitement among many users.
In their response on January 16, 2024, the developers write:
Hi […] I looked into your account and you have been:
via Steam
- banned 4 times for leaving games
- banned 3 times in chat for toxicity
- banned 0 times for being reported or pushing workers or not disabling auto-send
Following that, the developers quoted some insulting statements made by the player in a game a few days earlier before he left the game before the match ended.
Finally, the developers politely pointed out to him that he could avoid being banned from games if he simply did not leave games and that his ban had nothing to do with any reports.
How is this received by the community? On Reddit, the developers’ response is now being celebrated. The user “Nimchy” writes, for example, that this is the most professional way someone can say: “Stop the nonsense.” Many users seem to agree with this opinion, as the comment received 2,800 upvotes.
In another comment, user rW0HgFyxoJhYka writes that it is nice to see that toxic players are finally being held accountable.
User Punkreas33 writes: “I wish more developers would respond to useless reviews like this.” However, he receives a reply from user Tethim that this would be a waste of time and money in 99% of cases and that one should simply ignore such things and move on.
Recently, there was also a similar situation in Call of Duty. A player thought he was being harassed by the shooter and shared a clip on X.com. But in the clip, it was clearly visible that the game’s anti-cheat system had caught him: Player feels harassed by CoD Warzone – Does not realize that he was caught by the anti-cheat system
