The developers of Path of Exile talked in a new post about the loot issue and other upcoming updates that will bring even more items into the game.
What is wrong with the loot? While players have received a new season with “Keepers of the Flame” that is being well received, the loot is currently the major concern of the community. Compared to the previous season, players are finding less loot on the ground, which is causing frustration.
Dozens of posts on Reddit and the Path of Exile forum are discussing the poor loot. There are various theories as to why it has suddenly become so bad. Now the developers have also spoken out and addressed the issue.

What do the developers say about the loot? The developers of Path of Exile have talked about the next updates for the game in an update post on PathofExile.com. Since the release, the developers have provided Path of Exile with many hotfixes for bugs and performance issues.
In the new post, they present the next content steps. At the top of the list is the loot of the new season. Here, the developers want to ensure that monsters from the Breach parts of the map provide more loot for the players. This aims to make the season mechanics more relevant for the players.
Furthermore, they want to improve the current season mechanics to reduce the number of walls that need to be destroyed to access the relevant parts of the Breach.
What else do the developers want to bring? The developers of Path of Exile also want to introduce new, unique items into the game that were not completed by the release of “Keepers of the Flame”. These new items are to come with the next major patch.
Additionally, the developers acknowledge the feedback from players who are complaining about the current balance. They explain that they see a lack of diversity among the strong builds, which is why they want to buff weaker builds with the upcoming patch 3.28.
How is this received by the players? Although players have hardly had any other topic than insufficient loot since the release of “Keepers of the Flame”, they seem to be more excited about another topic on Reddit.
Many comments revolve around the new, unique items that are supposed to come into the game soon. User Reddit user ilovecollege_nope writes: “Sign me up! More builds to explore! The post doesn’t have much, but it has the right stuff.”
Similarly, Reddit user Rubixcubelube notes: “This is precisely what I always wanted from GGG. More league changes while it’s in motion.” However, the developers also receive praise for the loot fix. User Midknightz writes on Reddit: “Loot buffs are coming, they have actually listened!”
