The Perfect Preparation

If you want to confront Panthalus, your Pals and you should be at least level 70.

Since Panthalus is of the Water type, you should have Pals with Electric type ready. The best suited are:

• Beakon
• Helzephyr Lux
• Orserk
• Azurmane
• Grizzbolt
• Relaxasaurus Lux
• Rayhound

But you can also take any other Electric-type Pals with you, as long as you have leveled them up sufficiently.

Additionally, think about having enough healing items and bring strong weapons such as plasma cannons or guided rocket launchers.

Fight and Mechanics

First things first: As mentioned above, think of a Flying Pal. With that, you can easily avoid most attacks like the tidal wave or the body slam, which he uses later in the fight. Then you can focus on dealing damage without taking too much in return.

The fight can roughly be divided into two phases:

• Phase 1
  • Aim for the crystal on his head
  • Beware of large tidal waves and quickly evade with your Flying Pal
  • Once the crystal is destroyed, Phase 2 begins and Panthalus increasingly uses his body
• Phase 2
  • Stay mobile and try to keep Panthalus at a distance
  • In this phase, he uses devastating body slam attacks that you do not want to be hit by
  • There is no particular weak point here to aim for

Catching Panthalus

You don’t have to worry about accidentally knocking Panthalus out completely. If you bring his health bar down to 0, he goes down and you can catch him at your leisure. Just make sure you have a suitable sphere with you, because if you leave the area, you’ll have to start over.
