With the release of the full version, Palworld has received a new resource called hardwood, which you need for crafting various objects. In this article, we show you how and where to find this resource.
What kind of resource is this? Hardwood was introduced with version 1.0 of Palworld. It is a higher quality type of wood that you will need throughout the game for crafting various items.
You get hardwood by chopping down certain trees. The resource will drop to the ground as usual and can be easily collected. Alternatively, you can build a production facility. We will introduce both methods to you below.
Where to find hardwood in Palworld 1.0
Where can you find the resource? You can farm hardwood at various locations in Palworld. The following three locations are particularly recommended:
- Sakurajima – the cherry blossom island in the northwest of Palpagos Island
- Feybreak – the large island in the southwest of Palpagos Island
- Twilight Dunes – the desert with the Anubis statue
Here we have marked the three locations on the map for you again:
On Sakurajima, you should simply look for the cherry blossom trees near the Dancing Sakura Shrines, which characterize the Japanese-inspired area and can be recognized by the pink flowers. If you chop down the cherry blossom trees with an axe, you will get hardwood.
On the large Feybreak Island, you will find trees with red leaves. These can also drop hardwood if you take them down with an axe.
In the Twilight Dunes desert, you need to chop down the cactus-like trees with the spiky leaves that you can find northeast of the Anubis statue.
Buying hardwood: Hardwood can also be purchased from traveling merchants for 100 gold.
How to produce your own hardwood in Palworld 1.0
Once you reach level 43, you can unlock the lumberjack camp 2 under “Ancient Technology,” with which you can build your own production facility for hardwood in your storage. This is especially the preferred farming method for the important resource in the mid to late game, as your Pals will then handle most of the work.
To build the lumberjack camp, you need 100x hardwood, 50x stone, 20x Paldium shards, and 5x ancient component.
