To participate in a season, you have to create a new character and activate it as a “season character” during creation. These season characters can be played in Hardcore mode and Non-Hardcore mode – it’s up to you.
Season characters are separate from your existing characters and share no resources. You start your adventure from scratch without gold, Paragon levels, crafting blueprints, stash spaces, crafting levels, or gear. Everything is reset to zero.
By completing various tasks of the season journey, you will be rewarded with gifts that include parts of your first set. If you’ve completed several tasks, you’ll have your first complete set in your hands, giving you a strong boost in terms of damage and toughness. This makes the first major Nephalem Rifts significantly easier for you.
On leaderboards, you can compete solo or in a group with other players.
After the season ends, your characters are not deleted, but transformed into non-seasonal heroes. All armors, materials, gold supplies, and Paragon experience you collected during the season will be available to your non-seasonal characters.
In Destiny, you can purchase the exotic fusion rifle Telesto from Xur this weekend. Is it worth buying?
The Telesto is an exotic that came into the game with the “Taken King” and quickly gained some fans. The fusion rifle has a cool look and is reminiscent of the Needler from the Halo series – it even has purple highlights. Telesto therefore deals Void damage.
Halo model: The Needler
This weekend, you can acquire the Telesto directly from Xur for Strange Coins. But is it worth buying, or are the coins better spent elsewhere?
Telesto in Destiny – Locations
The Telesto is not tied to any quest. You can receive it randomly from several sources:
Wrath of the Machine
Kingsfall Raid
Nightfall Strike
Trials of Osiris
Xur: Sometimes, the Agent of the Nine has the weapon available
Telesto – The fusion rifle with delayed effect
On paper, the Telesto counts among the fusion rifles with very low impact but increased rate of fire. The range is poor, but the stability is extremely high. The reload speed is above average:
What makes the Telesto so special is this unique perk:
Unplanned Reprieve: The projectiles stick to the enemy and detonate with a delayed Void explosion.
Additional Perks:
Spark of the Herald: Multi-kills with this weapon create Orbs of Light for allies.
Battle Runner: Kills grant a temporary boost to sprint.
You have the choice between:
Long-barreled Magazine: Reload speed is higher
Lightweight: When held, the weapon grants +2 character agility
Improved Battery: Increases magazine size
With Combat Ballistics, Accurized Ballistics and Soft Ballistics, you can influence recoil and range.
The idea with the Telesto is to fire your fusion projectiles into waves of enemies and blow them up with delay. Your buddies benefit from this since you generate Light Orbs with multi-kills. A fast play style is possible, allowing you to already take out new enemies while still dealing with the previous ones.
How does the Telesto perform in PvP and PvE?
A disadvantage of the Telesto is that it is a fusion rifle. In PvP, hand cannons are currently dominating, but many other weapon types are also preferred over fusion rifles.
The “Unplanned Reprieve” of the projectiles can surely cause some surprise effects in the Crucible, but it does not offer much benefit. Here, the rule is: whoever dies first loses. The opponent may get taken down after a brief delay, but in many cases, you also die as the opponent simply has more time to deal damage.
In PvE, however, the Telesto can shine against many minions of the Darkness. Especially when Void Burn is active. You can definitely give it a try there.
In short: The Telesto is not a top-tier weapon. However, if you still need it for your exotic collection, you can acquire it now. Is Telesto “the Besto”? A clear no. It looks cool, has a cool loading animation, and has a sound that many Guardians celebrate.
By the way: With these two ornaments, you can give the weapon flashy designs.
We have survived the weekdays and can now look forward to the weekend. What games will you be playing in the next few days?
For many of you, the last hours of the workday are already running out. Now you can look forward to spending the next two days at the computer or on the console playing games. We want to know how you spend these days. In MMOs, racing games, simulations, or sports games? Are you maybe testing a beta or an early-access game?
We are fighting against nasty gangster bosses and knights this weekend.
What is the editorial team playing?
The editorial team at Mein-MMO will be busy gaming this weekend. While part of the team fights against a drug cartel in Bolivia with firearms, others will use the time for sword fighting.
We have already thought about fixed assignments for the different roles that need to be distributed in the game. Well, “fixed assignments” is an exaggeration. We have agreed that certain people should not drive vehicles when we have to ride along. Because vehicle control takes getting used to and is not everyone’s thing. It can quickly happen that you find yourself and your vehicle in a lake. To relax between missions and recover from chaotic driving, there are funny Easter eggs in Ghost Recon Wildlands with surprising functions.
But now let’s get to the crucial question: What are you playing this weekend? Write us your games or recommendations in the comments.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is currently causing unintended laughter due to sillier animations and terrible facial expressions. However, those hoping that a day one patch will fix the mess have gotten their hopes up too soon.
The demo version of Mass Effect: Andromeda has been playable for 10 hours via EA and Origin Access since March 15. Enough time to try out the new cool hero Ryder and have exciting and interesting conversations with NPCs. Unfortunately, many players did not find this to be the case, as the weak character editor and the unintentionally funny animations and facial expressions elicited more laughter than an appropriate atmosphere.
Mass Effect Andromeda – Day-One-Patch without graphics update
Especially the facial animations turned the cool Sara Ryder into a kind of space pancake face. The internet has therefore made fun of her with numerous memes since yesterday. However, Bioware has already announced a day one patch, and many players were convinced: “Okay, I can deal with the bad demo version as long as the release version is fixed.”

Unfortunately, “that train has already left,” as Bioware’s lead designer Ian Frazier stated via Twitter. The animations and the facial expressions will not be fixed until the release. However, there will be further patches after the release. Whether extensive graphic improvements will be included in those, Frazier could not disclose.
What do you think about the situation? Were you also hoping for a day one patch or did you already know that Bioware wouldn’t close this issue so quickly? And will you even buy Mass Effect: Andromeda if it looks the way it does right now? Let us know in the comments!
In The Division, we take a closer look at submachine guns (SMGs). With these mods, armor pieces, and talents, you can get the most out of them.
Currently, the top-tier weapons in PvE and PvP are assault rifles. The best stats can be seen from the Urban MDR, although the M4 assault rifles are also very competitive.
In the first months after the launch of The Division, however, SMGs, especially the AUG and the Vector, dominated. With later patches, these were significantly nerfed and stripped of their strong bonus: instead of crit chance, they received a bonus to crit damage.
With update 1.6, the submachine guns regained their old strength: with the return of critical hit chance, SMGs are again a viable weapon class. By the way, the maximum roll for crit chance on SMGs is 22%.
MarcoStyle has taken a closer look at the numbers for SMGs and found the best mods and talents that help you get the most out of your submachine guns.

Each weapon mod comes with three stats: One high roll stat and two lower roll stats. An exception is the Ti-RANT suppressors, which additionally have a bonus to reduced threat.
An example: For an extended magazine, the high roll stat is the magazine size (around 110%), while lower stat rolls could be fire rate or crit damage, which only deliver 4 or 5%. Here is an overview of the values that are possible at high and low rolls:
Since crit damage (x5.1) can reach significantly higher values at high rolls than crit chance (x2.4), you should always focus on critical hit damage for high rolls. Additionally, the high magazine size value is outstanding, which is why it is indispensable for SMGs. SMGs do not really need higher precision and stability, as they are naturally easy to control. Crit chance and headshot damage are the exciting stats for the low rolls.
To benefit from the crits, these are the optimal mods for SMGs:
PRO Red Dot Sight with crit damage, crit chance, and headshot damage
Extended Magazine with magazine size, crit chance, and fire rate
Small Grip with crit damage, reload speed, and precision
Loud Vent Brake with crit damage, crit chance, and headshot damage.
Use these armor pieces and talents for your submachine guns
Now you have high crit damage values, but the crit chance is only about 30%. To increase this further and to greatly benefit from the high crit damage, you need the right gear. Bonus to crit chance can be found on:
Mask (4%),
Gloves (6%) and
Holster (4%) come.
If you also have Wild Gloves (7%), the crit chance from your gear increases by an additional 21%, giving you a total of over 50% crit chance. The cap for crit chance is actually 60%.
Since you reach high values for critical hit chance, it is hardly worth it to aim for crit chance as a higher roll on the weapon mods. Rather, take crit damage here.
Vector
For the weapon talents, talents like Deadly are obviously beneficial, as they further increase critical hit damage. However, MarcoStyle recommends other talents that allow for a higher damage output in practice. These include:
Receptive: Damage is increased by 15% when within 10 meters of the target.
Vindictive: Damage is increased based on missing health: 1 missing segment +10%; 2 missing segments +25% (instead of 5-10%, 15-25%).
Competent: Weapon damage is increased by 10% for 15 seconds after using a skill.
Accelerated: The more critical hits you achieve, the faster you reload. 10% per hit up to a minimum reload time of 1 second. (This talent can be transferred with AlphaBridge, it appears on the PP19 as the third talent).
Additional tips:
With the Impulse Generator, you can further increase crit chance and crit damage.
The best submachine guns are considered to be the MP7 in PvP and the PP19 or Full-auto MP5 in PvE.
Sometimes you just don’t feel like raiding. But simply canceling is hard! What excuses do you use to get away with it?
If you play in a larger group of players, like a guild or a clan, you will often be pulled into activities. Especially for raids, coordination is essential, as up to 40 people need to be organized. If a key person is missing – like a tank or a crucial healer – then the evening could be ruined for all the other players.
But sometimes you just don’t dare to say “I don’t feel like it, I’m doing something else” – and then you need an excuse.
Have you ever used a lazy excuse to avoid showing up for a raid? If so… what?
Cortyn says: I generally have a strong sense of duty when it comes to showing up for raids. If I’ve committed, I will show up, unless there’s an earthquake or really urgent RL matters occurring. Even “unexpected visitors at the door” will be sent home – a commitment is a commitment.
But what if you just happen to have received a review copy of Mass Effect: Andromeda and can’t muster the motivation to roll through the Night Fortress for the 18th time? Then I would be – theoretically of course – in the comfortable position of saying that “work unfortunately completely occupies me this evening” and that I will probably have to skip the raid. One of the perks of having games as work – you always have the perfect excuse ready.
But now let’s turn it over to you! Have you ever “broken your arm” or staged another incident to avoid an online commitment? Or do you just not show up and hope there are no consequences? Let us know in the comments!
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
Since March 16, you can try out Mass Effect: Andromeda on PC and Xbox One via EA and Origin Access. However, this early access has not done Bioware any favors, as the animations in the new Mass Effect, especially the facial expressions, are catastrophic and are currently being mocked and trolled by the online community.
Bioware, and especially the Mass Effect series, are known for grand storytelling and interesting heroes. It is no coincidence that the tough Commander Shepard is one of the coolest bad asses in the galaxy. Since the Shepard story had to end in Mass Effect 3, a new hero named Ryder had to be introduced for the fourth part. Will he or she be as cool as Shepard?

Mass Effect: Andromeda – Pancake Face Ryder Reporting for Duty!
Whether Ryder is a cool character or not, his/her reputation will forever suffer because EA and Bioware released the demo version of Mass Effect: Andromeda. The trial version contains bugs that completely ruin the storytelling and game immersion.
This starts with completely silly animations that look like the characters are rehearsing some stupid circus act and ends with the total ridiculousness of the main character. Ryder – and many other characters – have the facial expressions of a half-baked pancake!
ME: A – Facial Animations – IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE MY HERO?
Caution: Mild story spoilers ahead.
No matter if Ryder is talking to comrades, being scolded by the superior, or receiving tragic information, they constantly look like a total hillbilly woodhead! Even worse, they seem to be grinning dumbly all the time, even in scenes that are supposed to be tragic and sad. A good example of this is the video from a colleague at PCGamer that we have embedded here.

Better facial expressions are likely to come – if at all – only in later updates. But even if it gets better someday, the damage is unfortunately already done, and the internet is laughing at clips and pictures of Ryder, the space pancake face. Whether she will gain a similar cool reputation as Shepard remains to be seen.
The new patch 2.5.0 in Diablo 3 brings cool new features like the armor stash and the particularly rare Ancient items.
With the new Diablo 3 update 2.5.0, there are several changes designed to enhance your gameplay experience. This includes the armor stash, which simplifies switching gear. With just a few clicks, you can equip a specific armor set without having to put on each piece individually. An improved display for crafting materials, which also no longer takes up space in your inventory, is also among the improvements.
In addition, there are Ancient items that are extremely rare but have perfect stats. We will explain how the changes look in detail.
The Armor Stash in Patch 2.5.0
Fans have been waiting for the armor stash for a long time, as it allows for switching an entire character build as quickly and easily as possible. In the armor stash, you can save a total of five complete builds for each character, which you can switch between with a single click. The following is swapped out:
Equipment
Gems
Skills
Runes
When you equip items via the armor stash, the corresponding items swap places. If the new armor was previously in your stash, the swapped items will also be stored there. Gems and legendary gems are also swapped. The armor stash automatically uses the highest quality or level of the stones you possess. Skills with the corresponding Runes are also saved in the armor stash and are included when equipping. You can give your configurations custom names to avoid confusion.
Paragon points are not transferred between builds. You must adjust these manually every time. However, the developers have added another button that makes distributing points easier. Now you can not only distribute 10 points at once by holding the Shift key, but also distribute 100 Paragon points at once by holding the CTRL key.
New Crafting Materials Display
Sorting crafting items in Diablo 3 was frustrating for many players and unnecessarily time-consuming if an item was not in its designated place. With the new system, crafting items are now displayed in a clear user interface and do not take up space in your bags. These include:
Arcane Dust
Veiled Crystals
Reusable Parts
Death’s Breath
Bounty Materials
Hellfire Materials
Where are the Crafting Materials in Diablo 3?
By clicking on the anvil next to your gold display in the inventory, you can access the crafting materials overview. Starting with the release of patch 2.5.0, crafting items will automatically be moved to this overview. You do not have to place them in a specific location before the patch, the game will handle this sorting automatically.
Another useful feature related to crafting items can be found with Kanai’s Cube. There, you will now see the “Fill” button. This button automatically stores the required items in the cube that you need for the current recipe. In the following gif, you can see the function of the fill button.
Changes to Adventure Mode – Bounties Simplified
In Diablo 3’s Adventure Mode, there are some changes in patch 2.5.0 aimed at improving gameplay flow. The frequency of different areas in Greater Rifts has been adjusted. Areas like the Ruins of Sescheron, which you previously saw often, will now appear less frequently. Instead, areas like the Festering Woods or the Howling Wind will appear more often to provide more variety in the rifts.
Bounties no longer have bonus acts. The reward tokens that were previously given for completing these acts have now been combined with the Horadric tokens. This combination results in Greater Horadric Chests. You will receive these chests after completing five bounties in any act. They contain all the loot and materials that were previously obtained from the two different tokens. This way, you can freely decide which bounties you want to complete without missing out on bonus loot.
Ancient Items in Patch 2.5.0
Blizzard had already developed a concept for Ancient items that players were not satisfied with. After much criticism, the developers decided to take another approach and now present us with the current version of Ancient items.
Ancient Helltooth Tunic
Players of Diablo 3 pursue various goals each season. Many tried to obtain their items with “Primal” rarity to get the most out of their gear. Ancient items are a new tier of very rare primal items.
They are essentially primal items with perfectly rolled affixes. Each affix, whether primary, secondary or legendary, has ideal values. These values are rolled based on a specific set of rules. They always have the corresponding main stat for your class:
Strength for Barbarian and Crusader
Dexterity for Demon Hunter and Monk
Intelligence for Witch Doctor and Wizard
Ancient items also always have the ideal number of sockets for the respective item:
Pants, chest pieces, and jewelry have the ideal number of sockets
Weapons receive no sockets, as ideally, you would use Ramaladni’s Gift for the weapons.
Finding Ancient Items
As mentioned, Ancient items/Primal Ancients are extremely rare. You can obtain them from any source for legendary items in the game. This includes:
Horadric tokens
Kadala
Kanai’s Cube
To acquire Ancient items, however, there is a condition: first, you must complete a Greater Rift of level 70. This requirement only needs to be fulfilled once per game mode (Hardcore or Softcore and Season or Non-Season). With the start of each new Season, this requirement must be met again. Once this requirement is fulfilled, all characters in that game mode can benefit.
When is Patch 2.5.0 coming for PC, PS4, and Xbox One?
Currently, there is no official release date for patch 2.5.0. However, it can be assumed that the patch will be released before Season 10 begins, which starts on March 31. A possible patch date would therefore be the Wednesday before the season start (March 29).
The online shooter Ghost Recon Wildlands (PS4, Xbox One, PC) lets you choose from dozens of weapons. But which one is particularly good and worth the difficult search? Here we present to you the best weapon in each category in Ghost Recon Wildlands: What is the best assault rifle? What is the best sniper?
Bolivia is looking for the super weapon! The Santa Blanca cartel has smuggled crates full of weapons and military equipment into the country, and now the stuff is lying around everywhere waiting to be picked up by your Ghosts. Because although you are a member of an elite unit, you’ve only been sent out with basic gear, and if you want better equipment, you’ll have to get it yourself!
GRW – The best pistols, shotguns, assault and sniper rifles, LMGs and SMGs
On the following pages, we will introduce you to one weapon each that we believe is particularly good and should not be missing from any Ghost arsenal. However, if you have a different opinion or are missing your favorite weapon, please write it in the comments. We’ll start here with our favorite pistol.
Ghost Recon Wildlands – The best weapons – Pistol D-50
The legendary Desert Eagle with its hefty .50 caliber can also be found in Ghost Recon Wildlands. This pistol monster sends every Sicario straight to Santa Muerte and is ideal for blasting out of tricky situations when any tactical approach is for “El Gato”.
The Desert Eagle excels with gigantic damage values, fast reload times, and is still fairly accurate. You can only upgrade it with a laser sight, but unfortunately, you can’t attach a silencer. Additionally, due to the large caliber, it only has space for 7 rounds in the magazine.
Location – Where to find the D-50?
The Desert Eagle .50 can be found in the province of Libertad. However, the heavy weapon is lying around in a Unidad base, specifically the F.O.B Oso Hormiguero. You can find this south of the Charlie collection point in this province. It’s best to sneak into the base unnoticed to steal the weapon. The YouTuber StreamerHouse has already found it. You can find the video here.

Studio Wildcard always works closely on console patches. They wait for certification from Microsoft and Sony before deploying the update. Last time, the Xbox One update was on time, while the PlayStation 4 update was delayed by several days. It could also end up being Wednesday or Thursday.
ARK Patch 1.14 brings better performance on PS4 and Xbox One
ARK Survival Evolved has optimized its “Task Graph Threading” and “RHI” systems and brought them up to date with the latest Unreal Engine. This will increase performance on PS4 and Xbox One by 15%. With the system optimization, the consoles can better utilize the hardware, which reduces frame drops.
Since ARK Survival Evolved was released on PS4, players have complained about poor performance.
Patch Notes Update 1.14 – This Content is Added to ARK (v255)
PS4 and Xbox One will be updated to Patch 1.14 to the same version as v255 for PC. This includes new dinos, Tek structures, and cosmetic items for survivalists on consoles.
Electrophorus, Microraptor, Ammonite, Thylacoleo – these are the new dinos
New dinosaurs:
Electrophorus – a type of eel used to tame large dinos with electric shocks
Microraptor – these raptors are said to be suitable for attacking dino riders, as they ignore the dino and go straight for the rider
Ammonite – an interesting resource, they protect nearby dinos when survivors try to “harvest” them
Thylacoleo – a carnivorous marsupial that can be used as a mount for rough terrain
New Structures:
TEK Shield Generator
TEK building parts and doors
Cosmetic Items:
4 new beards and 4 new hairstyles – unlockable through new explorer notes
TheCenter & Primitive+ Update
The new dinosaur Thylacoleo is an aggressive carnivore.
In Hearthstone the first packs of the new expansions are already being distributed – even though they cannot be opened yet.
There are still a few weeks until the release of the next expansion “Journey to Un’Goro”, but in Hearthstone, you can already play for the first packs of the next addon.
To secure the pack, you only need to complete a round of the current Tavern Brawl. This week, it is the well-known “Crossroads Encounter”, where only one class needs to be selected. The game will then automatically create a deck with appropriate cards and pit you against another player under the same conditions.
Usually, there are only “Classic Packs” in the Tavern Brawl, but this week Blizzard seems to be making an exception to prepare players a bit for the new expansion.

When is the release of the next expansion “Un’Goro?” Early or mid-April?
However, the pack cannot be opened immediately; instead, it waits under the menu item “Open Packs” for the early April, when the expansion is supposed to go live – even if the game currently says “mid-April”. Ben Brode has already clarified this in a post on Twitter.

With the character editor of Mass Effect: Andromeda, you can customize Ryder’s face down to the smallest detail. But can this even be done?
Many players are currently testing the trial version of Mass Effect: Andromeda, which can be tried out as part of the “EA Access” or “Origin Access” offer. However, since the playtime is limited to 10 hours, time should be invested and planned wisely. Yet, it often takes a while to create an appealing main character with whom you’ll spend the next days and weeks.
Worse yet: In Mass Effect: Andromeda, you even have to customize 2 characters immediately. Depending on whether you play as a male or female Ryder, you also need to adjust the sibling. To see what options are available ahead of time, check out this video from FluffyNinjaLlama – it should help you find what you are looking for in the game faster.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vrvFeEXC2s
If you want to take your time, you might have to wait until March 23rd. Then Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Cortyn says: I must confess that I spent nearly an hour working on the character creator of Mass Effect, only to eventually hit the “Ah, screw it” button to just start with the default Sara Ryder. I couldn’t create a character that I found somewhat visually appealing, as all “presets” looked – from my absolutely subjective perspective – completely ugly. But well, now I am running around with the default Sara Ryder and don’t have to worry about little scars and nuances in eyebrow placement anymore. Maybe a helmet would have sufficed from the beginning…
A Kickstarter campaign is supposed to help him develop his own GTA. This 12-year-old game developer has big goals!
The dream of his own GTA belongs to this 12-year-old game developer from England. To realize this dream, he has already started developing a game called “The Country“. However, he still lacks funds to continue working on the game and later release it on Steam. He is relying on the Kickstarter website and hopes for supporters for his project.
Similar gameplay to GTA
He has already uploaded the first screenshots so that supporters can get a rough idea of the project. Although, there is not much more than hills, green landscape, and a house visible in the pictures. He envisions the gameplay of The Country to be similar to that of GTA “… with shooting and surviving and so on …”. Since the game is not yet finished, he hopes for supporters on Kickstarter for his game.
Apparently, many people like the idea of the 12-year-old, as 23 people have already participated in the financing of the project and have exceeded the original funding goal of 90 pounds. Currently, it stands at 224 pounds.
When asked why he wants to be a game developer, he says: “I think I could be a successful game developer because I already know about coding, even though I am only 12 years old.”
An update on his Kickstarter page shows how excited he is about reaching the 90 pounds goal:
“I have reached my goal. Folks, I never thought that my dream would come true. Thank you to each of you who supported me and made my dream come true. I thank you so much! :’)”

At the start of St. Patrick’s Day, there are two pack offers for 20,000 coins (Hybrid pack of gold and silver players – 6 Rare) and 30,000 coins (Hybrid pack of gold and silver players – all Rare).
How did St. Patrick’s Day – “St. Paddy’s Day” – go in previous years?
What else is coming our way in FUT 17 could be revealed by looking back at the “St. Patrick’s Day” events of past years. During the holidays, there were several pack offers in the shop. Additionally, a “St. Patrick’s Day Tournament” took place in single-player and multiplayer, offering delicious rewards.
And since special Squad Building Challenges (SBC) go live for every event in FUT 17, we assume there will be an SBC for St. Patrick’s Day as well. Update: There will be several SBCs, as has now been revealed.
Massive responds to the fierce criticism of the “Year 2” plans for The Division .
Recently, the State of the Game aired on March 16. High expectations were set for this livestream, as the special report last week raised numerous questions: For the first time, the developers talked about Year 2. However, the community did not respond with joy and optimism, but with doubt and criticism: “Was that all?”, “What do the plans look like exactly?”.
Today, community developers Hamish Bode and Yannick Banchereau spoke about this stream and its “Year 2” announcement – and tried to reassure.
The Year 2 reveal is yet to come
The special report last week was never meant to be a “Year 2” reveal, according to the developers. Instead, they wanted to celebrate the anniversary of The Division, present the “Year 1” events and gifts, and then take a look into the future. Communicating to the community: Yes, it continues. We are also working on The Division in 2017. Here are a few new things you can already look forward to.
However, they admit that they were a bit too naive. They should have expected that the agents would primarily be interested in the “Year 2” plans rather than a birthday celebration. Therefore, the expectations of the agents regarding this stream were too high. The actual “Year 2” reveal is still pending.
But they wanted to be honest: One should not expect major story expansions. However, new items and new features will definitely come – and everything in between is also possible.
They briefly touched on loadouts: They mentioned it as a highlight last week, as loadouts are a feature that players have long wished for. They wanted to say: “Hey, loadouts are coming!”, and not “Loadouts are the main content that can be expected”.
Information on the two expansions in Year 2
Year 2 will deliver two expansions:
The first expansion will come in summer and bring the mentioned features: loadouts, feats, and events. More details about the events will be discussed later. Furthermore, one can expect more from this update: new items, new weapons, and armor pieces are conceivable.
The second expansion will bring content that has not been discussed so far. However, they listen to the community and try to realize some wishes with this update. Last week, it was said that this would bring narrative elements.
Furthermore, there will be a client patch between now and the first update in summer that will address major issues. Massive emphasized today multiple times that they will continue to work on all the bugs and errors.
More information from the State of the Game:
In the coming weeks and months, there will be much to discuss about what else is in store for Year 2. The arrival of new weapons, new gear sets, and new items is certainly not off the table. An increase in gear score is also conceivable if it makes sense. Nothing is excluded.
For the summer update, new PTS are definitely coming – they are also working on an implementation for consoles. A new ETF will also be available.
Currently, they are investigating issues with stagger, seeker mines, talents, and medkits. They are also working on choosing better spawn points in “Last Stand” to prevent spawn camping. The agile talent is currently too powerful, and Massive is looking into it more closely. Furthermore, the fight against lags and server issues continues.
The developers are working on the netcode so that players with high ping can be hit better in Battlefield 1 . There will also be a test environment for consoles soon.
The They Shall not Pass DLC was unlocked on March 14 for players with a Premium Pass and was released simultaneously with an update for hit detection. The improved hit detection is important for dealing with high ping players. Further improvements are expected in the next major patch, probably in the Spring Update.
Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will receive an increased tick rate, a ping display, and will likely soon be able to participate in the CTE.
Improvements to the netcode – Kills around corners?
The last update already provided improvements to the netcode. However, work on this issue is not yet finished, as the developers want to improve hit detection for players with high ping in the next patch. This should prevent bullets from hitting players who “actually” are already behind a corner.
Players with high ping like to exploit their handicap and frustrate opponents who cannot hit the “laggers.” The developers are already working on a solution for this problem, which is easier to implement on PC than on consoles.
DICE-Mischkag states in the forums that it wouldn’t even take a minute to implement a kick system in the game that kicks players due to packet loss. He would like to implement such a feature for rented and some regional servers, but there are problems. You cannot simply kick players based on their connection if Sony still classifies that connection as “good.” This can be done for PC players, but not so much for console players.
There are also considerations to equip servers with a ping cap of 250-300ms. Players with higher ping will not be able to play on these servers.
“I really hope that the improvements to the netcode will lead to players with high ping being seen as more than “just targets” and not as immortal players. We will of course continue to monitor the implementation of ping caps.” writes Mischkag.
Improvements for PS4 and Xbox One
Players on PS4 and Xbox One can look forward to the upcoming updates for Battlefield 1, as the developers are taking care of them. As Mischkag writes in the forum, the Community Test Environment should soon be opened for console players. There, you, as a Premium player, can try out new content before the official release. This includes weapons and maps, for which you can leave your feedback to the developers after testing.
The next patch will also include ping displays for PS4 and Xbox One. You will find this ping display in the scoreboard. This ping overview was supposed to be included in the last update, but there were minor issues that prevented it.
Improvements in the next patch also include tick rates. The tick rate affects weapon switching, input delay, hit detection, and many other aspects of the game. “For the update following the XP1 patch, we hope that consoles will run at 60Hz tick in all game modes (with a maximum of 32 players).” writes Mischkag.
When the next patch for Battlefield 1 will be released is still unclear. We will keep you updated.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming soon and fans are excited about the multiplayer. We have all the information!
The Multiplayer of ME: Andromeda – Is there PvP?
If you played the multiplayer mode of Mass Effect 3, you will easily find your way in Andromeda as well. The modes do not differ in principle. This also means that there is no PvP, only cooperative PvE missions. Enemies attack in waves, which also appear in the single-player mode of the game.
Each wave is stronger than the previous one and is spiced up by additional missions. Often it’s just about plain survival, but occasionally objectives must be met, such as escorting or protecting specific areas.
Different difficulty levels always ensure the right challenge, and the numerous unlockable weapons and characters provide long-term motivation. How exactly a match plays out is shown in the official trailer:

In the multiplayer of Mass Effect, you can choose from 26 different characters, each possessing a unique set of abilities. If you like Biotic, you’ll choose an Adept, and if you prefer to trigger Tech Explosions, you will grab a Technician. 12 characters are unlocked from the start (all humans), and the remaining characters are obtained as rewards from booster boxes that you can buy with in-game or real-world currency.
All characters are leveled individually and have skill trees to customize abilities according to personal preferences – basically just like in the predecessor.
Freedom in weapon choice
Each character can carry any weapon in multiplayer. But it comes with a price. Those who carry particularly heavy weapons that deal high damage will be burdened with quite a bit of weight. This negatively affects the cooldown times of abilities. If you prefer to throw around biotic explosions constantly, you should only bring one or two light weapons. Finding the right balance here is challenging, but thanks to different modifications, the weight of a weapon can be influenced to save at least a few points.
Is the multiplayer connected to the singleplayer?
A major criticism of Mass Effect 3 was that you had to play the multiplayer to be particularly successful in singleplayer.
Is that also the case in Andromeda? Somewhat.
In Andromeda, there are so-called “Strike Missions”, which are special operations in the galaxy that require the attention of the Pathfinder. The Pathfinder can send troops to complete these missions. However, for some missions, you have the option of not doing them yourself. In that case, the game switches to multiplayer, and the corresponding mission is executed. Rewards can be obtained in both ways.
However, especially for difficult missions, it is worth handling them in multiplayer yourself, as the NPC teams can fail – especially for tough tasks, they often return battered.
Real money shop – What does it offer?
As in the multiplayer of Mass Effect 3, Andromeda also offers the option to purchase booster boxes with real money. This is done through the real money currency “Andromeda Points”. The prices are quite steep:
500 points are available for 5€, and for larger packages, you save a bit more. For example, if you choose to buy 12,000 points, you pay 100 Euros.
The prices are steep – but you don’t have to buy anything to have fun.
For comparison: The booster boxes cost between 100 and 300 points, depending on the rarity level.
However, the purchase of points is not really necessary, as you can also earn the boxes. If you bring a good team and effectively master even the more difficult challenges, you can purchase a few boxes after each match. There is no compulsion to buy points.
The future of the multiplayer mode
It is also worth mentioning that BioWare always refers to the 26 characters and 5 maps as “at launch”. This suggests that there will be updates with new maps, characters, and weapons after the game’s release – just as it was the case in Mass Effect 3.
In summary, the multiplayer of Mass Effect: Andromeda is a more action-packed variant of the popular “Mass Effect: 3” multiplayer. Those who expected big changes will be disappointed. Fans of the predecessor will likely spend many hours again kicking alien virtual butt.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released on March 23, 2017, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

In For Honor, players use the swastika as a symbol. Ubisoft has provided guidelines on how to deal with it.
On reddit, a player uploaded a screenshot showing that he faced a team with three players using the swastika symbol. In For Honor, players can create symbols using a fairly flexible editor. Some create the Ferrari logo, while others seemingly create the swastika.
Community Manager Eric Pope has also discovered the thread and provides these guidelines on how to deal with it in For Honor:
Defeat Nazis when you encounter them in-game.
Report Nazis when you see them in-game.
Help make our community a better place.
The swastika is an ancient symbol originally without a unified meaning. In various religions, it is understood as a good luck sign. Since 1945, the symbol has been banned in Germany because it is associated with the oppressive regime and the crimes of the National Socialists.
There is also trouble with “Deus Vult” in the USA
For Honor exists in a somewhat strange tension field of political correctness. The English community of knights uses the battle cry “Deus Vult” (God wills it) as a hallmark, battle cry, and meme among themselves.
Under the motto “Deus Vult”, the Crusades took place in the Middle Ages.
As the US site Polygon writes, the “Alt-Right” movement in the USA uses the term as a motto to make it clear: If we win and Trump is elected president, then Islam is in trouble.
However, in the game “For Honor”, “Deus Vult” is evidently not seen by players in this context, but rather in a politically detached framework.
