Mass Effect Andromeda caused frustration among many players due to bugs, pancake faces, and bizarre animations, which were expressed in numerous harsh comments. Chief developer Ian Frazier from Bioware shared his experiences dealing with such “feedback” in an interview.
Mass Effect Andromeda was not well received by many fans of the series. The blame was primarily on the pancake faces of the human characters, which were fixed only through a shader update. But also clumsy dialogues, bugs, and a plethora of collectible quests made many players angry.
The result was a lot of nasty comments, flames, and trolling on the internet.
Ian Frazier, Lead Designer of the Andromeda team, read many of the comments and is not exactly happy about it.
Mass Effect Andromeda – “It’s tough!”
In an interview with IBTimes UK, Frazier spoke about his feelings when reading player comments. Frazier wants to receive positive and constructive feedback from players in order to incorporate it into his work and improve the game.
But to get to the valuable information, one must wade through a lot of crap, according to Frazier. The nasty comments from some particularly angry players are therefore not easy to process: “I don’t want to lie, it’s tough”.
Nevertheless, Frazier is not completely disillusioned and frustrated with the players. Rather, he sees dialogue with players and evaluating feedback as an important process in game design: “Don’t get me wrong, I don’t appreciate these occasional low blows, but in return, it’s good that it’s happening. We have a great opportunity to receive fan feedback from such a wide spectrum.”
Mass Effect Andromeda – Game improved with feedback
Overall, Bioware seems satisfied and continues to work on improving Mass Effect Andromeda. The post-launch schedule is on the right track, and depending on the feedback, they will adjust the corresponding priorities and thus gradually improve and develop the game.
What do you think of Ian Frazier’s situation? Do you feel sorry for him, or do you think that the rocky start of Mass Effect Andromeda is indeed a reason for harsh criticism and that developers have to accept such criticism in this case? Let us know in the comments!
In the MMO shooter Destiny , you can find touching and amusing moments in the videos of the week.
Every week, the community managers of Destiny select the best videos from the numerous submissions. This week there is an outstanding duo.
Just a mention, but we still put it in 1st place: the video “Guardian Down” – the Italian Guardian GiorgioButon succumbed to his illness after a year-long battle with cancer. His teammates and clanmates say goodbye in a video.
They mourn their friend, but also celebrate the time they had together. They say: He was always the one who shot first, stood up to every enemy, tackled every situation with full commitment, as if he knew his time on Earth was limited.
It’s a great video that shows scenes of a “very normal Guardian life” from the past years. You see how the gear changes, the levels rise, and in the end, the voice says, “We will never forget you.” One of the most emotional videos in Destiny overall.

The actual winner by Bungie’s grace is Defender Bebop. This is a flashy and atmospheric montage, where the melody and sound take center stage. In the background, player noises can be heard. There are chuckles and crackles when something particularly beautiful has been achieved.
A lively, casual video that showcases the beautiful moments in a Guardian’s life. The video proves, that playing in Destiny can definitely have a certain style and swing.

Video three is something completely different, as an artist showcases her work. You can see how a Hunter of the Awoken gains color and power.
http://youtu.be/EV5deIOGdZw
For us, this is a very special duo of videos this time (the third one is slightly different). It shows in the videos of Destiny now that the years many have spent with the game lend a certain weight and significance to everything that happens.
Goodbyes to friends, even if you might only know them from the game, are real. Because the time spent together is also “real” life time and not “virtual.”
The upcoming online game Rend aims to do things differently. It is not a classic MMORPG, but offers survival and MOBA elements – as well as an interesting class system.
In Rend, you do not choose a class at the beginning like in a classic MMORPG. Only when you reach level 2 do you get the choice to invest your talent points in four paths.
However, you cannot learn all paths; you must choose two, one of which will be your primary class and the other your secondary class. Depending on which paths you choose as primary and secondary classes, your character plays differently. An Assassin-Soldier, for example, does not play the same as a Soldier-Assassin.
Four classes, from which you choose two
The four classes from which you can choose your hero are:
Assassin: The assassin is known for quick strikes from the shadows and can deal a lot of damage. As you improve your skills, you will deal more damage and become more agile, but your hit points and carrying capacity will hardly improve. An assassin can cloak, but only as long as they remain still.
Soldier: Soldiers are strong and heavily armored fighters. The more points you invest in this path, the more damage you deal and the more you can carry. Your hit points will also increase over time, making the Soldier a fighting machine.
Survivalist: The Survivalist is a class that does not have to worry much about water, equipment, and hit points. Survivalists are the ideal gatherers and crafters because they have high resistance and can move quickly. Survivalists can find food and water even in places where others would starve and thirst.
Mystic: Mystics are a support class that can buff companions. They are ideal for supporting others as they help them survive. They can even conjure light that only group members can use. In a cave, a Mystic can cast light that enemies cannot see, while the group can spot an enemy torchbearer from a distance.
With Rend, an online game is set to appear that does not compete with the big MMORPGs and MOBAs, but mixes the best elements of these games with survival into a unique game.

The voice actor drama around Pharah’s new voice is entering the next round. Now a petition is supposed to reinstate her as an Overwatch voice.
Things are not going smoothly at Overwatch. Just under a week ago, we reported that Pharah’s German voice actor was replaced. In a “Bluepost” on the German Overwatch forum, Blizzard explained that Pharah’s previous voice actress, Ghadah Al-Akel, had been replaced. The reason given was that due to “availability issues or similar unforeseen difficulties,” working with a voice actor sometimes could not be continued.
The catch is: Ghadah Al-Akel stated that she would have loved to continue voicing Pharah, and she is not aware of any reasons why she was replaced. She only learned about it through the community and is accordingly disappointed.
Petition aims to bring Al-Akel back as Pharah
As Buffed now reports, what always happens when “the internet” is not satisfied has been done: a petition on change.org (link to the petition) has been started to reinstate Al-Akel as the voice actress for the German Pharah.
Under the petition, fans describe in some comments why they want the “old Pharah” back, as one user put it:
“The old Pharah voice was always a reason for me to play the game in German, simply because it sounded like an ambitious, self-confident, yet sympathetic woman.”
What is your opinion on this matter? Do you support the petition? Or do you ultimately not care about the voice because you play in English anyway?
Cortyn says: This situation has become quite difficult. While I can understand fans’ excitement, I am more an advocate for the new voice. The new voice is also fitting, and I wouldn’t want an endless back and forth. As for the ultimate reasons for the voice change, to me personally, it is relatively unimportant. It was disrespectful and certainly a mistake if there was never any communication between Blizzard and Al-Akel. Still, ultimately, it is Blizzard’s decision and not that of the community.
In Guild Wars 2, a player created a masterpiece in the guild hall. Nothing less than the Mona Lisa has been created as a shadow artwork through floating objects!
Guild Wars 2 does not have a “proper” housing system where you can build your own homes at will. However, what you can do is place a few things in your guild hall, thus customizing the guild meeting point to your needs.
The current example from Guild Wars 2 shows what blossoms can result when creative and patient players are at work.
Guild Wars 2 – Mona Lisa – Leonardo da Vinci with Shadow Brush
When you enter the guild hall of the player Alilinke, you should notice a large white wall that seems completely out of place in the hall area. However, as you get closer, the outline of the Mona Lisa, Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, suddenly appears on the wall.
The giant painting is impressive in itself, but even more curious is the fact that you actually cannot freely paint on objects in Guild Wars 2. Rather, the entire image consists solely of shadows!
These shadows come from numerous freely floating objects that Alilinke has painstakingly placed at the right angle to the sun and the wall up there.
Guild Wars 2 – Over 50 Hours of Work for the Mona Lisa
As objects cannot simply be placed freely in the air, Alilinke had to build a kind of framework from other objects beforehand to place the actual shadow givers on it. A tremendous effort!

Overall, the artist needed over 50 hours to achieve the feat of placing all those objects at exactly the right angle. We have embedded the entire work in a video here for you. Enjoy watching and admiring!

The battle royale shooter H1Z1 King of the Kill is said to have grown by 1000% since September 2016. The reason for this is not really clear even to those involved.
With H1Z1, they expected to grow, but not to this extent. They believe it is due to the genre, the battle royale shooter. It feels fresh and appeals to both new players and shooter veterans alike.
Development is now running in parallel: Live team and feature development
Currently, Daybreak Games is trying to handle the influx, scaling up server capacity to avoid queues.
They say this growth has caused “growing pains,” which they want to address by completely restructuring development. A live team is supposed to constantly work on the game while a development team focuses on new features.
This way, they aim to quickly release bug fixes and server updates, as well as to advance major feature developments.
H1Z1: Plans for the Future
For the future, Daybreak Games is planning among other things:
A new weapon for summer, which is supposed to have an “own role” – further details are not yet available
Shotguns are to become more reliable with the next content update, no longer as random as at present
Leaderboards for the game modes “Duos” and “Fives” are on the way
The air-drop mechanic is to be completely changed – players should be able to choose how valuable what falls from the sky is
Regarding the port to PS4 and Xbox One, H1Z1 King of the Kill remains silent
There hasn’t been much talk about the upcoming port of H1Z1 King of the Kill to PS4 and Xbox One for some time now. It was actually scheduled for summer 2016. They have also not spoken much about coming out of “Early Access” for a while now.
H1Z1 King of the Kill is one of those games that established itself over Steam and Twitch.
ASTA, a colorful online role-playing game from Korea, was permanently shut down in October 2016. But the end may not be so final, as the game is set to make a comeback on Steam in April!
ASTA: The War of Tears and Wind – often referred to as the “Korean World of Warcraft” – was permanently shut down by publisher Webzen on October 4, 2016 due to low player numbers. The servers for the Western version went offline, and players received refunds for their real money expenditures over the last 30 days. Game over – curtains down, monkey dead!
However, ASTA doesn’t seem to be as dead as it appears. The Korea MMO is making a comeback on April 26, 2017!
ASTA – Return on Steam
If you’ve bitterly missed the Asia MMO since its infamous end or regret never having played ASTA, mark April 26 on your calendar. On this day, you can play ASTA for free again via Steam under the new publisher Move Games.
On the official ASTA page on Steam, you can learn about the game’s features. ASTA will showcase stunning graphics thanks to CryEngine3, and the character system is expected to offer a variety of options, including a slider for eyebrows! Also included in ASTA: housing, two factions, PvR battles, martial arts fighting styles, and pets.
ASTA – Promo Actions for Loyal Players

The latest update for SWTOR is live and players can finally wage war on Iokath – but which side will they choose?
After some issues with Star Wars: The Old Republic last week, as Patch 5.2 did not meet internal quality standards, BioWare has finally made adjustments. As of today (04/18/2017), game update 5.2 “The War for Iokath” is live, and the patch notes have also been released.
Especially Sith Warriors and Troopers should be pleased, as they will reunite with their companions. Malavai Quinn and Elara Dorne appear throughout the story and may – depending on the choices made – not be fully convinced by the player.
Apart from a happy (or dramatic) reunion, the story surrounding the machine world Iokath itself is likely to impress. After completing the storyline, the player gains access to a new area with daily quests where they can support the Empire or the Republic – a decision that can be made anew again and again.
Fans of operations are finally getting fresh content again. The “Gods from the Machine” operation challenges players and is likely to present Raiders with new challenges.
Lastly, the star map has been updated. It is now accessible almost everywhere, and the associated fast travel options allow for even more comfortable travel through the galaxy. In most cases, a manual trip to the spaceship is no longer necessary.
You can find the full patch notes in German as usual in our sources.
Exciting new content is coming soon for Guardians of Ember, the alternative to Diablo 3. Act V will be released next week, and the Horde mode is coming soon.
In an update, the developers of Guardians of Ember report what to expect in the game over the next few weeks. After the recent release of the new Dark Knight class, new content will follow next week. Act 5 is already nearing release, while the planned Horde mode still needs some polishing.
Guardians of Ember – April Content
The development of the fifth act in Guardians of Ember has progressed faster than the developers expected. Because of this, this content can be released next week. The plan is for April 25th to be the release date for Act 5 in GoE. The release was initially scheduled for May.
Act V offers you cool new content: “In the abandoned landscape of Labato Fjord, your next task awaits. There, you must stop Arques before he joins Urdigard. Act 5 is the final chapter in Early Access.”
New DLC System: The team is introducing a system in GoE that allows players to unlock DLC content directly in the game, skipping the previous unlock codes.
Event Tool for Ingame Events: A new event tool is nearing completion to give the community management team the ability to launch in-game events.
Originally, the Horde mode was also supposed to be released in April, but it will now come next month. Due to feedback, some fine-tuning is still being done before the game mode is released. This especially concerns rewards and balancing.
Guardians of Ember – May Content
In May, players can expect not only the Horde mode but also the first parts of the English translation. Additionally, ranked matches are planned, as well as a guild skill system.
Horde Mode: This 5-player co-op mode is considered a survival mode where you must defeat waves of enemies. The mode tests your skill and rewards you with achievements and rewards afterward.
English Translation: In May, the first acts with English translation will be released. By summer, the remaining content of Guardians of Ember should be available in English.
Balance Update: The developers are currently evaluating stats and player feedback to complete a larger balancing update.
Ranked PvP: Once the game is better balanced, the developers plan to enable ranked PvP.
Guild Skill System: Leveling up your guild rank will provide each member with unique buffs.
Paladins is a team-based first-person shooter with MOBA elements. Recently, there is also a console version that we looked at more closely on the PS4. In our test video about Paladins, you will learn what we think about the multiplayer shooter.
Exaggeratedly speaking, it is a mix of the shooter Counter-Strike, the MOBA Heroes of the Storm, and the card game Hearthstone. And some malicious tongues claim it is an Overwatch clone. But much more importantly: Is the Steam sensation worth it? Does Paladins fill a gap in the shooters on console?

In the MMO shooter Destiny , the first players have filled all 96 nodes in the Record Book of Age of Triumph. Thus, they have completed Destiny 1 after two and a half years.
On reddit, a player announced: The Iron Banner is finished and the 390 “Wrath of the Machine” raid took place for the first time today. The Age of Triumph is basically completed, everything has been tackled at least once.
It is therefore possible to fill all 96 nodes of the vast Record Book of “Age of Triumph” and thus complete Destiny 1.
He did that and can confirm what many have suspected: There is no special reward for it. Only the inner completist is now satisfied.
The largest Record Book of all time is now also filled
The Record Book in Destiny is extensive and shows certain “achievements” that players can fulfill with their Guardians. When certain scores are reached and sections are fully completed, rewards are given gradually.
These are mostly emblems, and at the end, when rank 7 has been reached, a t-shirt awaits that Guardians can have shipped home if they pay for it. For that, you need to enter your gamertag on the Bungie store page; otherwise, you will pay 777,777 dollars and 77 cents.
Not everything in the book needs to be filled out to collect all rewards
The book is designed so that you can still get all those rewards even if you haven’t completed absolutely everything. However, some Guardians speculated that there might still be a bonus reward for the toughest of the tough.
Now we know: That is not the case. There is no hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Currently, the veterans hope at least that there will be some “recognition” in Destiny 2 that is worth wearing.
Most think it could be another emblem.
All milestones of the Record Book for Age of Triumph and what rewards are available can be read here:

The Necromancer in Diablo 3 is getting a forced break and will be deactivated on the test servers for now. Balance update?
Since April 12, you can test the Necromancer on the PBE servers, if you have gained access to it. But as of today, testing is over for now, as the Necromancer will be deactivated. However, the deactivation is only temporary.
Diablo 3 Necromancer not available – Revive Super-Overpowered
Is the Necromancer now getting its first revision based on beta feedback? In the forum, community manager Nevalistis announced that the Necromancer will not be available for testing on the PBE servers today starting at 7:00 PM. Players were already informed at the beginning of the testing phase that the new Necromancer class will not be continuously available. During this time, the developers can fix major bugs and experiment with changes internally.
It is possible that the Revive abilities of the Necromancer will be adjusted now. Testers have already been made aware that Revive is currently “Super Overpowered” and will undergo significant changes in the near future.
The developers did not specify exact reasons why the Necromancer is being deactivated today. There might be a balancing of the various skills in the coming days. All skills of the Necromancer can be found here
During the absence of the Necromancer, testers can try out more content from Patch 2.6.0 on the test servers. This includes the two new zones “The Moors” and “The Temple of the Firstborn”. You can reach these zones via a waypoint in Act II and Act IV.
Additionally, the Challenge Portals are ready for testing. There you can try out new builds in a dungeon that changes weekly. During the beta phase, the dungeon might change more frequently.
The reactivation of the Necromancer is planned. In the forum, Nevalistis writes that the thread will be updated as soon as the Necromancer is available again. We will inform you as soon as we know more about this topic.
In the pirate online game Sea of Thieves, technical alpha phases are being conducted repeatedly – but only on the Xbox One. PC players still have to wait.
Sea of Thieves is making steady progress. Players can see this themselves through the ongoing technical alphas. For the latest one, 23,000 new players were invited, allowing nearly 40,000 players to participate in the test phases. However, this is only for owners of an Xbox One.
While technical alphas for PC are planned, they are still forthcoming. The developers state that they are also making progress in this area. However, there is currently no date for the PC alpha.
New Alpha with New Features
Those who are lucky enough to participate in the Xbox One technical alpha will gain insights into new features and many improvements. For example, the combat system recently received an update, making sword fights even more interesting and exciting.
Additionally, it is now possible to dive, which brings new gameplay possibilities. For example, surprise attacks from the sea. And who knows, maybe you’ll be able to dive for sunken ships and treasure.
Limited Resources Lead to Conflicts
Moreover, there is a limited number of resources for the ships, which will likely lead to battles over the resources. Additionally, the difficulty level of the skeletons you may encounter during your adventures has been adjusted.
With one of the upcoming updates, a spyglass is also expected to make its way into the game, but the team is still discussing how it will be best implemented. In a new video, you can learn more about how development is progressing. Sea of Thieves is taking more shape overall. A release of the online game is still planned for this year.

Khadgar expects great things from the WoW players on the Broken Shore. Several thousand Nethershard must be farmed.
As has been customary on Tuesdays in the past weeks, the quest line on the Broken Shore continues and requires players to complete some new tasks. Those who venture to the Broken Shore in World of Warcraft from today, April 18, 2017, will be greeted by Khadgar, who has a new quest. For “Shard Times,” the Archmage demands that you deliver a staggering 2,500 Nethershards – quite a hefty task.
How to Obtain Nethershards for Shard Times?
Nethershards can be obtained for a handful of activities on the Broken Isles. The most lucrative source of income are the Legion Invasions. Open your map of the Broken Isles and check if one of the four zones is currently being attacked by the Legion. If so, mount a flying mount of your choice and complete as many world quests in the invasion area as possible. Each quest will reward you – in addition to gold, artifact power, and reputation points – with Nethershards. Between 225 and 350 are waiting for a single world quest.
Alternatively, you can find a group for the Sentinax through the group finder. This ship of the Legion circles the Broken Shore and creates portals. The enemies from these portals drop a few shards upon death – just like the rare elite enemies marked on the area map.
Handing over War Supplies of the Legion Judges is also rewarded with Nethershards. Mostly, however, only 75 shards for 100 resources.
If you prefer gambling, you can also participate in the Wyrm’s Tongue Lottery – and either win big or lose all your shards.
However, the conclusion of Shard Times brings a surprise. Apparently, Khadgar made a small miscalculation, as he actually only needs a single Nethershard. After completing the quest, you will get the remaining 2,499 shards back from him – in addition to 1,500 reputation points for the Legion Judges.
If you have not yet unlocked flying, this quest should finally allow you to achieve respectful reputation with the Legion Judges.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will receive a splitscreen mode, allowing cooperative multiplayer even offline. However, this does not apply to the PC version.
Comfortably sitting with friends on the couch and playing a round of Star Wars Battlefront 2 together without needing to be online has its charm. Being able to sit in a room, discuss directly, see each other’s reactions, and toast to victory is something that an online mode cannot provide.
Splitscreen not on PC
The offline splitscreen mode of the newly announced online shooter offers the possibility to unlock rewards through cooperative battles, which will give you customization options. You can then also use these online.
However, the splitscreen mode will be reserved only for console owners. PC players will not have the option to play offline with friends. This was already the case with the predecessor and is partly due to the fact that the PC has never really been a popular platform for splitscreen multiplayer matches.
Invite friends for a game night
But those who own an Xbox One or a Playstation 4 can be happy and invite their buddies for a fun gaming night when Star Wars Battlefront 2 launches on November 17.
Then you can also play the single-player campaign that fans of the first game have been asking for. This is part of the official “canon” of Star Wars and is written by Walt Williams, the author who was responsible for the much-praised story of the shooter Spec Ops: The Line.

The quest system of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen will differ from that of other MMORPGs. Not every player will receive the same quests.
Your hero in the new indie MMORPG Pantheon has a “Perception” skill. This determines whether you notice certain things during your wanderings through the game world – or not.
For example, you will hear a woman crying if your skill reaches a certain value. If you talk to this woman, you will receive a quest. Another player, whose Perception skill is lower, will not notice the woman’s crying and will therefore not receive this quest.
No help for quests
However, other factors also play a role in whether you “notice” a quest. These include your race, your faction affiliation, and your reputation.
You must always walk attentively through the world to not overlook quests, as you will not find NPCs with golden exclamation marks above their heads in Pantheon, and you will not be guided by breadcrumb trails or waypoints to the next quest objective. Once you have found a mission, you have to figure out how to solve it yourself.
If you need to find a hidden cave, you should really search for it, as it will not suddenly appear on the minimap.
If you don’t like quests, you don’t have to do them
The Perception system also has another benefit. Depending on how you behave, whether you help a woman in distress or not, your alignment will change, which in turn will affect the further course of your adventures.
The system is designed to give players who do not want to experience quests the opportunity to avoid them. If you do not increase your Perception skill, you will most likely not discover a quest and can focus on other things that may be more fun for you. However, if you enjoy stories, you will find new quests time and time again.
Crafters should be specialists
The developers of the MMORPG Pantheon have also talked about the crafting system. In this, players must specialize in one area.
If you want to be a blacksmith, you cannot also become a bowyer. However, anyone can gather resources. But through this specialization in crafting, true professionals should emerge, not crafters who can do a little bit of everything. D
The MMORPG Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is currently in an alpha phase, with a beta expected to start later this year.

With your vote, you can snag 3 free packs for Hearthstone . We will tell you how to do it.
To engage the community more in the major Hearthstone tournaments, Blizzard has been enticing players with free packs when they choose a favorite team in recent weeks and months. This is now possible again at the Hearthstone Collegiate Finals in North America.
In the Collegiate Finals, teams from American colleges compete against each other. 8 teams have made it to the playoffs, the final matches, and will face off on April 22 and 23.
Even as Europeans, we can choose a college as a favorite and are rewarded with up to 3 packs from “The Streets of Gadgetzan”. One pack is given just for casting your vote. Another pack is awarded if the chosen team makes it from the quarter-finals to the semi-finals and from the semi-finals to the finals.
You have time to cast your vote until April 21 at 9:00 AM.
The tournament is more than just “a game,” as the prize pool of $160,000 will be awarded in the form of scholarships, which could be of great importance for some participants’ futures.
Which team you should bet your vote on is hard to say, as there are hardly any well-known champions in this tournament. It’s best to make your choice based on gut feeling, or do it like Schuhmann: Take the “Cal”, the “University of California – Berkeley”, as it has particularly many Asian-American students.
Such tournaments, where the prize money is paid out in the form of scholarships or tuition, happen more often at Blizzard. For instance, in HotS, there is the “Heroes of the Dorm” tournament that offers similar prizes.
For Black Desert , a new class called Striker has recently been announced. In Korea, the martial arts fighter will be available soon, and players of the Korean version can already create a Striker in advance in the character editor. See here what is possible.
Black Desert Online has the most beautiful, powerful, and detailed character editor ever seen in an online role-playing game. Every class has its own look and is determined by race and gender, but with enough time and effort, numerous cool heroes can be created.
Since character creation can take quite a bit of time due to the complex editor, players may already create their personal Kung Fu master in advance before the release of the new Striker class in Korea.
Black Desert Online – Striker – Fighting K-Pop Star?
Each class in Black Desert Online has a roughly defined look. The warrior is a rugged, masculine knight archetype, the Valkyrie is delicate, the witch is cute, and the wizard has long been a Gandalf-like character. The new hero Striker, on the other hand, resembles a K-Pop star in his standard appearance with his blonde, styled hair.
https://youtu.be/DAuEEK24DCs
If this look does not suit you, you can certainly change it completely, for example by shaving the hairstyle and sending the Striker into battle as a classic Kung Fu monk. Or you can give the Striker a casual long-haired hairstyle. With the theme of the young wild one, you can realize many ideas.
Black Desert Online – The Striker in the Trailer
The Striker not only looks good, but also carries his martial name justly. With light armor and armored fists, he strikes hard and can especially give a hard time to individual opponents.
The most important skills of the new Striker class have already been described in another article. However, to see how these look in action, a new trailer showcases it. We have embedded the video here for you. Enjoy!

The Striker will first be released only in Korea on April 20th. A release date for the western version is not yet known, but it should not take too long.
Is Massive really planning a The Division 2 or a big expansion? Why isn’t the shooter being developed further?
It’s quite puzzling. Massive has launched a million-dollar franchise for Ubisoft, created an MMO shooter in the wake of Destiny that has broken a ton of records and made a ridiculous amount of money. Then they developed the project for over a year with DLCs, kept it somewhat on track with updates and patches, and now we hear nothing from Malmö.
The fans had already grabbed their pitchforks and lit the torches when they learned about the Year 2 plans for The Division or rather when they learned nothing about them, as there were obviously no plans for a Year 2 in The Division.
The torches are now extinguished. Anger and frustration have been replaced by a certain wonder: How things are really going to proceed with “The Division” is not known to anyone outside of Ubisoft and Massive.
But it can’t seriously be that the studio is actually giving up “The Division” as a franchise after such a successful start to work on an “Avatar Project,” can it?
Massive Malmö is looking for 40 new employees
Massive has definitely not given up the “The Division” franchise. The location “Malmö” is more important than ever. After all, “The Avatar Project” is supposed to be developed here along with “The Division,” the next million-dollar franchise from Ubisoft.
There’s no news about large-scale layoffs. You usually hear about those when online games are being shut down. Only after the project’s release have some key figures publicly departed.
The horror scenario of “The Division” fans: Ubisoft has pulled the entire “The Division” team to work on the “Avatar Project.” But that seems far-fetched. Ubisoft has invested too much in “The Division,” and the franchise is too successful for that.
Moreover, some jobs are specifically advertised for “The Division.”
Currently, there are only two scenarios for the future of “The Division” that seem sensible: In both, The Division follows its “model” in terms of business model, Destiny.
We think Massive in Malmö is currently working on The Division:
either on a big expansion like “The Taken King,” but they’re not ready to reveal it yet
or they skip the step altogether and really go all out with “The Division 2”
Obviously, The Division is not planning any “small DLC” for €15 like in year 1 next. Because those would have been announced by now.
Massive is either planning a big expansion or a full-priced sequel. Both still seem to be a while away, otherwise, it would have been announced by now. Perhaps we will hear more at E3.
The “current” gap can be explained by the fact that Ubisoft has changed plans at short notice. Maybe “The Division 2” was indeed once planned, but now they have decided to release an expansion instead.
As evidence, a nebulous statement from the financial report in February can be cited. Ubisoft stated that they would prefer to continue developing a project rather than release a sequel for the franchise as initially planned. So far, it’s unknown which franchise from Ubisoft the statement is aimed at, but it is quite conceivable that it was referring to The Division.
An expansion would likely be well received – not The Division 2
Well, the situation for The Division isn’t good. The mood among fans remains angry and upset, as they would have expected more from the online shooter than a long pause.
If Ubisoft were to announce a “The Division 2” now, they would certainly have to face some criticism for not having done more with the first part. That wouldn’t be a good starting point for a new game. A “big expansion,” on the other hand, would have better chances.
What do you think?
