Today, on May 5th, the Agent of the Nine is arriving in Destiny. Where is Xur and what items does he have for sale? Location and inventory.
The past few days in Destiny have been quite calm. There should have been several hours of maintenance yesterday, which has been postponed indefinitely. This allowed the Guardians to carry on with their duties without disturbance. No major incidents. Until last night!
During the night from Thursday to Friday, some information was released, which we will summarize here briefly so that you are well informed before heading into the weekend:
But now let’s take a look at Xur. Let’s welcome the Exotic dealer together.
All info about Xur in Destiny on May 5th, 6th, and 7th on PS4 and Xbox One
When does Xur come? When does Xur leave? – The times
The Agent of the Nine arrives promptly at 11 AM. He will then show you his inventory, which includes Exotics and “Rarities”, and will crack a few witty jokes from his tentacle beard. However, on Sunday at 11 AM, Xur has had enough and will head home.
Where is Xur? Location today
Xur has specific positions in the Tower and the Reef where he likes to stay. This time he is located near the Vex. Next to the kiosk for abandoned quests. Nexxoss Gaming will guide you there:

TERA pulls out the mop and goes after all addons. There are no exceptions – no Damage Meter either.
In many MMORPGs, players can enhance their experience with additional software. Games like WildStar or WoW even offer support for addons. Other players don’t make it so easy, but the developers overlook the use of such software as long as it doesn’t lead to unfair advantages or harm.
It was similar until now with TERA under En Masse, the North American publisher of the action MMO: Many players used third-party programs to display DPS numbers in a dungeon or otherwise enhance the gaming experience. But that is now coming to an end.
In the official forum, it was announced on April 26 that the use of third-party programs that interact with the TERA client must be stopped immediately. Anyone who violates this rule will be permanently banned from the game.
Some players have already been permanently banned.
This quickly led to an outcry from the community, as many players can no longer imagine a world without addons. They do not understand why all players and programs are now in the spotlight when there are only a few bad apples using hacks and causing problems.
No mercy for any addon
En Masse claims that it is already stated in the terms of service that any use of third-party software, regardless of the purpose, constitutes a violation of the agreement. They will now enforce this more strictly, as there have been increasing problems in recent months.
There will be no exceptions for individual addons.
“Every program and modification to the TERA client is a violation of the terms of service. There will be no exceptions. If you think, ‘But what about XXXXX? Is that okay?’ The answer is: ‘No. It’s not.’ and you should expect consequences.”
First ban wave hits “severe exploiters”
The US site MMOBomb reported that En Masse confirmed that in the first ban wave, “fewer than a dozen players” have already been permanently banned. They had used programs that directly harmed other players. None of them have appealed the ban.
They decided to implement and enforce a ban on all addons because in recent months, the extent and frequency of this behavior have increased among a small percentage of players.
What do you think about these changes? Is it a good thing that they are finally cracking down and enforcing the terms of service? Or is it just harassment that will make life difficult for some players?
Activision talks about the post-launch content of the upcoming MMO shooter Destiny 2 and features for the PC version.
Just a few hours ago, Activision’s conference call for the first quarter of 2017 took place. During this investor conference, CEO Eric Hirshberg shared interesting information about Destiny 2 – particularly regarding the PC version.
According to him, Destiny 2 will have “meaningful features” specifically for PC. Features tailored for the PC community. What exactly these features are remains unknown. Hirshberg points to the gameplay premiere on May 18, where details about this and other exciting announcements regarding Destiny 2 will be revealed.
Destiny 2 brings a steady stream of content
A statement that Activision made months ago has now been reiterated. Destiny 2 is supposed to have a steady stream of new content. Content droughts like in Destiny 1, where players waited months for new content, are said to be a thing of the past.
According to Hirshberg, there is great confidence that they can meet the high demand for post-launch content with Destiny 2. He emphasizes that besides Bungie, other AAA studios are working on fresh content. This is to ensure great content delivered at short intervals to keep the community engaged. In addition to Bungie, the Activision studios Highmoon Studios and Vicarious Visions are working on the sequel.
According to the contents of the expansion pass, after the launch of Destiny 2 two expansions are planned. These two DLCs are likely not to be the only content deliveries in the first year of Destiny 2. Activision spoke of a “constant calendar full of events following the expansion pass.” The first expansion is expected to come in winter and the second in spring 2018.
Hirshberg also stated that Bungie will “definitely” deliver a great game.
The changes to the Overwatch hero Orisa are meant to strengthen her tank role – at least that was Blizzard’s plan.
On the Overwatch public test server, the PTR, changes to some heroes have been tested for several days. In addition to clear nerfs for some (Reinhardt and Soldier: 76) and significant buffs for others (Hanzo, Genji, and Reaper), Orisa has also received a few adjustments. However, the community is still not entirely sure whether these changes are positive or negative.
Specifically, there are two changes that Orisa is currently experiencing:
The damage of her weapon has been reduced by 15% – a clear nerf.
The cooldown of her barrier has been reduced by 50% – a significant buff.
Many players in the official forum believe that Blizzard should give Orisa more time instead of making further changes right now. Her weapon is already quite weak. It’s difficult to aim with her.
Geoff Goodman has addressed the players’ critical concerns and stated in the official forum:
“These changes are being tested and are not final yet. Please keep in mind that the change to her barrier is massive and should significantly enhance her ability to act as a tank at the forefront – not to mention her survivability. Essentially, the changes are meant to be understood as a buff, but please try them out and let us know how it feels.”
Blizzard’s goal is clear: Orisa should be able to better fulfill her role as a tank, even if it means sacrificing some damage.
What do you think about the changes to Orisa? Necessary or premature and ill-considered?
A new feature is coming to Destiny: For the first time, the Mayhem game mode will be available in the Iron Banner.
Bungie released the “This Week at Bungie”, this week’s letter to the community. It focuses on one topic: the Iron Banner in May.
Use Your Light as a Weapon
It is already known that Destiny 2 will become a world without light – presumably, Guardians should enjoy their light powers one last time. Bungie states that we should use light as a weapon like never before in the Iron Banner this May. That’s why there will be a Mayhem modifier.
The mode is: Mayhem: Clash
The Iron Banner starts on May 9 at 7 PM and ends on May 16 at 11 AM.
The rewards include the pulse rifle The Clever Dragon and the machine gun The Silver Terror. The Clever Dragon was an outstanding weapon in PvP during the first months after the launch of RoI. However, its wings have since been clipped. The Silver Terror is still one of the strongest and most popular heavy weapons in PvP.
The armor pieces are the chest piece and leg armor.
In Mayhem, your abilities (Grenade, Melee, Super) recharge much faster than usual. These game modes are known as “Super Fireworks”.
What About Maintenance?
Actually, there were supposed to be hours-long maintenance yesterday evening, May 4, but Bungie had to postpone it. They did not announce a new date yet.
Today, there is information that they do not want to disturb the Iron Banner, which is why maintenance is now scheduled for the week starting May 16. As soon as there is a specific date, we will report about it promptly.
What About Destiny 2?
Community Manager DeeJ couldn’t help but stir up excitement for Destiny 2 once again. Currently, we are in the calm before the storm. In two weeks, you will not be reading this Weekly Update, DeeJ says, but rather talking about what you have seen. The gameplay reveal for Destiny 2 takes place on May 18, for which Bungie is planning a big show.
According to DeeJ, he has more reasons than we do to be excited because he knows what is behind the curtain…
The upcoming shooter MMO Destiny 2 makes Activision happy already. Call of Duty: WW2 also receives praise at its announcement.
Activision is currently reflecting on the first quarter of 2017 and is revealing the numbers. The CEO of Activision, Bobby Kotick, gives special praise to both shooters Destiny 2 and the new Call of Duty: WW2 in his presentation.
Both games were announced in the first quarter of 2017 – and the reveals of both games were, according to Kotick, very well received by the fans.
Destiny 2: Players apparently pre-order the “big editions” significantly.
Later it is said: The pre-orders for Destiny 2 and Call of Duty: WW2 have already “started very strong.”
Interesting detail: Apparently, mainly the editions of Destiny 2 were pre-ordered, in which the season pass for Destiny 2 was included.
Thus, the majority of pre-orders so far have been for the editions with “Season Pass”: The Collector’s Edition, the Limited Edition, and the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Blizzard strong with Overwatch, Hearthstone, World of Warcraft
Further observations from the Activision presentation:
In total, Activision earned 1.73 billion US dollars, which is 19% more than in the same period of the previous year – especially digital sales have skyrocketed. It has increased by 50%.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare was rather disappointing compared to Black Ops 3,
The number of “monthly active users” at Blizzard has risen to 41 million – this is mainly attributed to Overwatch . It had not yet been released in the comparison period, in the first quarter of 2016.
Overwatch is now the eighth “billion-dollar” franchise of Activision.
Especially the event “Year of the Rooster” has brought Overwatch new records in terms of the time players have spent in Overwatch.
Activision no longer reveals player numbers for World of Warcraft, but in the first quarter of 2017, players reportedly spent more time in WoW than in the first quarter of 2016.
Hearthstone set a record for daily active players in April with the new expansion – although it does not fall into the quarter, it is still mentioned.
Blizzard has generated 25% more revenue “in the games themselves” in the first quarter of 2017 compared to the first quarter of 2016 – this is attributed to WoW and a “continued strength in Overwatch.”
Overall, the first quarter of 2017 is rated as “stronger than expected.”
Destiny 2 is set to release on September 8 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Currently, very little is known about the game. On May 18, first gameplay will be shown. We will cover this on Mein MMO.

The next Pokémon GO event is just around the corner and brings along Grass-type Pokémon. We will show you when the event starts and ends.
A global blooming will take place this coming weekend. As announced, a certain Pokémon species will be found more frequently in the coming days. According to Professor Willow’s research, these are Grass-type Pokémon. The start and end of the event has also been revealed by the developers. Hope for good weather this weekend so you can complete your collections without being disturbed by rain.
Grass Event in Pokémon GO – Start and End
In his research on the habitats of different Pokémon, Professor Willow has made some interesting discoveries. Among the most recent and important findings is a surge of Grass-type Pokémon. And he can even limit this frequent occurrence temporally. The start of the Grass Event is therefore the afternoon/evening of May 5, which is a Friday. Throughout the afternoon/evening, you will find Grass-type Pokémon more frequently in the wild.
Unfortunately, there are no precise details yet on whether the increase only concerns certain Pokémon of this type, or all Grass-type monsters.
However, you only have a short time for this event, as it ends on May 8, which is Monday, and the spawns of Grass-type Pokémon will return to their usual numbers. Unlike the week-long Water Event, the event with the green friends is only of short duration. So make good use of the next few days to add the possibly missing Grass friends to your collection.
As another change, the developers later announced further modifications to the Grass Event. To help you catch your Grass-type Pokémon more easily, lure modules will be active for 6 hours the entire weekend! It seems the developers are particularly generous with you, as modules usually only last 30 minutes.
Shiny Bulbasaur or other Grass Shinies?
At the mentioned Water Event, fans found the first shiny monsters in Pokémon GO after just a few hours. Accordingly to the Water Event, these shiny monsters appeared in the form of Magikarp and Gyarados.
It is possible that new shiny Pokémon of the Grass type are expected during the Grass Event. Perhaps the title image featuring Bulbasaur is already a hint towards the next shiny that the developers are announcing secretly.
Let’s be surprised if there are any shinies at all in this event. Which Pokémon would you prefer?
For the discovery of a 20-year-old CD, Blizzard is offering a lot, including a meeting with the developers and a BlizzCon visit.
It sounds a bit like a story from a typical young adult novel: When buying a box full of old items, Hector Solorzano acquires a suspicious golden CD labeled “StarCraft Gold Master Source Code” from Blizzard Entertainment.
For those who don’t know: the CD was lost nearly 20 years ago (1998) and has since been sought after because it contains, among other things, the source code of the game.
After Solorzano shared his find on Reddit, some called him a liar and didn’t believe his story. Others wanted him to upload the CD’s content so that everyone could enjoy it. Still, other players became almost angry that Solorzano wanted to keep this CD for himself.
Ultimately, however, he chose a different path and contacted Blizzard directly. The game studio requested to have the CD returned – and Salorzano complied with the request.
As a first reaction, he received a finder’s fee from Blizzard – $250 in credit for the Blizzard Store and Overwatch as a new game.
But Blizzard’s gratitude didn’t stop there. Shortly thereafter, he received a large package from Blizzard, filled with lots of merchandise. From Overwatch plush toys to a new keyboard and a Diablo bottle opener, almost everything for the nerd’s heart was included.
And that was still not the end: Shortly after, he received a call from Blizzard and was asked if he had ever heard of BlizzCon. Of course, he had – but he had not been able to afford it until now. No problem – Blizzard is covering travel, accommodation, and even adds a “round of drinks with the developers.”
Overall, this story is a clear case of “Honesty is the best policy,” and whoever finds a little treasure and returns it can be assured of the owner’s gratitude.
Blizzard has now confirmed the entire story in an email to Kotaku:
“[We] wanted to show an appropriate level of appreciation for the player because he did the right thing, not just for Blizzard, but on behalf of the large and active community that still enjoys StarCraft today.”
Lineage 2 Revolution is a high-gloss MMORPG that will be exclusively available for mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones. After the game was immensely successful in South Korea, it is reportedly set to launch in Europe in June.
According to an English-language website about the game Lineage 2 Revolution “should” launch here soon. However, it is not clear from the announcement whether Netmarble plans to launch Lineage 2 Revolution as a beta or if the mobile MMORPG will appear “properly” right away.
The information that it could start as early as June 2017 comes from a “Pre-Registration” page that is now offline again. In the meantime, users could even reserve their name there.
Lineage 2 Revolution will offer 4 playable classes: Humans, Elves, Dark Elves, and Dwarves.
The game promises top-notch graphics, large real-time battles, and an interesting character progression.
We will surely hear a lot more about Lineage 2 Revolution in the coming weeks and months.
Is a birthday event being prepared for Overwatch ? Data miners have found numerous hints about a new event in the PTR update.
Hard to believe, but Overwatch will soon celebrate its first birthday, as the release date will mark its first anniversary at the end of May.
The data miners have already analyzed the latest patch on the PTR, which mainly brought balance changes. However, the eager fans have found new hints hidden in the game data. There are initial lines of code that indicate an “EVENT_6”.
Moreover, initial hints have been found that each hero in the game will receive 5 or more cosmetic items. In most cases, these will likely be voice lines, spray logos, and similar “fluff”. However, a few heroes will receive more items, fueling speculation for skins, highlight intros, and new emotes.
It has been a year since the release.
Reaper will receive 8 items
Tracer, Orisa and Sombra will each receive 7 items
Hanzo, Pharah, Bastion, Symmetra, Genji, Zarya, Soldier: 76, D.Va and Mei will each receive 6 items
Ana, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, Mercy, Roadhog, McCree, Junkrat, Winston, Widowmaker and Zenyatta will each receive 5 items
This also wonderfully overlaps with previous events, so characters with few skins will now receive new ones. Only Tracer is getting a special treatment – but she is also the beloved cover girl of Overwatch.
The anniversary of Overwatch is on May 24
The timing also seems to wonderfully fit into the speculated plan. Until May 22, the “Nexus Challenge 2.0” will take place in Heroes of the Storm – exactly 2 days later would be the anniversary of Overwatch.
Whether a big event will indeed take place on May 24 remains to be seen.
So far, all of this is still speculation and merely interpreted from some key data by the data miners. It would be surprising if Blizzard lets such a date slip through their fingers – because there would surely be plenty of fancy loot boxes again.
For The Division, agents have hated the exotic backpack “NinjaBike Messenger Bag” for months. With update 1.6.1, it will be removed from the loot pool.
The State of the Game went live on May 4th. It had surprisingly many good news for the agents.
NinjaBike will no longer drop with 1.6.1
The “NinjaBike Messenger Bag” is considered the worst exotic in The Division. Even when it was introduced with update 1.5, it faced criticism because other exotics simply offer better benefits, like strong damage boosts. And NinjaBike has only this talent:
If you die in the Dark Zone, you lose less loot (1 public item less) and 20% less Dark Zone XP.
With update 1.6, this talent actually became even worse: The patch introduced the change that you do not lose Dark Zone experience and currency if you are killed in the DZ and are not rogue. This means that the effect of losing 20% less DZ XP is completely pointless.
Therefore, agents have been demanding for some time that this unpopular backpack be revised or removed from the loot pool. It is a huge disappointment when, after struggling through a legendary mission or working hard to earn the weekly supply containers, the NinjaBike backpack is the reward. It is only good for dismantling.
Now comes the relieving announcement from Massive: The update 1.6.1, expected in May, will remove the NinjaBike backpack from the loot pool. If you already possess this exotic, this item will remain unchanged.
Massive recommends that you keep your existing NinjaBike exotics, as they are expected to be revised with a better talent in the future, and this change will likely be retroactive. They are targeting update 1.7 for that. However, they cannot promise this yet. With 1.6.1, it will be removed from the loot pool to avoid further disappointments.
Ninja-Bag as a reward? The agent looks grumpy.
More inventory space in the backpack
Another piece of good news: Massive will test starting tomorrow on the PTS whether a backpack inventory expansion works. In the future, there should be 120 slots for level 30 backpacks, which is particularly useful and important for the loadouts feature.
Tomorrow, on May 5th, the third PTS phase will start around 10:30 AM, during which this new feature will be tested. A maintenance will take place on the public test servers from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM beforehand. The patch notes will be published tomorrow.
The PTS phase 3 is expected to be the last phase. If everything goes well, nothing will stand in the way of releasing 1.6.1 in May. Therefore, you should do everything possible with the backpacks starting tomorrow to uncover any possible bugs regarding the slot expansion. With changes to the inventory, it can also happen that items may be lost.
Note: The capacity of the storage remains unchanged.
In the MMORPG Crowfall, so-called griefers and player killers should think twice about ruining the fun for others. Because they will not remain anonymous.
Griefing is a popular pastime for many. Players – who are usually weaker – are ambushed and killed repeatedly in PvP. This makes the attackers feel good, have fun, and ruin it for the victims.
The classic Ultima Online almost went under due to griefing, as victims abandoned the game in droves at that time. Therefore, a server with stricter rules was introduced, focusing on PvE. A controversial but necessary solution.
Griefers are a problem
Griefing is still a problem in many MMORPGs today, especially when open PvP with full loot is up for debate. On one hand, players enjoy the risk of being attacked by other players at any time and anywhere.
However, this opens the door wide for griefers to engage in their malicious play, which can ruin the fun for many. The MMORPG Crowfall is designed around PvP, which raises the question of how the developers will tackle the griefing problem.
In Crowfall, no one is anonymous
They do not want to impose strict rules on the fans. Essentially, the players determine what is allowed and what is not.
This could now become a paradise for griefers. But they will surely think twice in Crowfall about annoying others.
Because every player’s account name is visible to everyone. A griefer will be immediately recognizable and can be associated with their account name. Anonymity is a thing of the past. And this is the shield under which many griefers operate. Even if one creates a second character, it is always clear to whom it belongs.
So, anyone who has a hero as a friendly helpful player and a second character who constantly attacks other players will not have a good time in the game, because probably no one wants to play with them – not even with the helpful character. The developers of the MMORPG Crowfall have talked about this and several other topics in a new video.

In Destiny, we delve deep into weapon stats. What do stats like range, precision, aim assist, and stability really do?
Destiny is not meant to be a “numbers game”. You shouldn’t have to sift through dozens of statistics with every new weapon while pulling out your calculator. Instead, Destiny aims to be a shooter where Guardians choose weapons that feel good to them, look appealing, and are fun to play with. The developers have emphasized this in the past.
Therefore, players are not bombarded with numbers in-game. In fact, you see remarkably few numbers in the menu. Rate of fire, damage, range, stability, and reload speed are only displayed with bars; only magazine size and attack level are shown in numerical form.
All other stats, such as aim assist, are not visible in the game at all. If you want more information about the weapons, you have to visit external sites. But even these cannot uncover all the secrets surrounding the weapons in Destiny. What exactly does aim assist do? And how do the stats influence each other?
Weapon Theory – What the stats do to help you hit better
The Guardian Mercules904, who is known in the English-speaking community as a weapon expert and crucible enthusiast, has thoroughly examined the values on the weapons. As he writes, he has spent a lot of time testing the various stats in Destiny. Now he explains what range, precision, aim assist, and stability actually do.
These overlap and influence one another. Together, they determine how the weapon feels in the hands of the Guardian.
Range
Range is a value you should primarily increase on hand cannons with the appropriate perks. If you use “Extended Barrel” or “Hammer Forged”, three things change on your weapon:
Damage Falloff Distance: Weapons in Destiny deal less damage at certain distances to the target. This is the damage falloff, or “Damage Falloff”. The furthest distance at which you still deal maximum damage is called optimal range. By increasing “range”, you expand this optimal range.
Aim Assist Falloff: Additionally, the distance at which aim assist is effective is increased. More information on this below.
“Error Angle”: This value determines how far a shot can deviate from the center once the bullet has left the weapon. Under sustained fire, this error angle increases, meaning that even if you aim directly at the center, not every shot lands directly in the center. If you increase the range value, the error angle narrows – the shots are more precise.
Precision
Precision is a value that is not displayed directly in the game. You can increase it with perks like Persistence, Eye of the Storm, or Hot Swap. This improves two things:
The “Error Angle” (the value that is also influenced by range)
The “Projectile Precision”: This refers to the probability of whether a bullet lands directly at the center or gets deflected. This value has proven particularly difficult to test, which is why Mercules is not entirely sure here. As an example, the hand cannons: They have poor values at the error angle, meaning that when you fire shots rapidly, the bullets fly all over the battlefield. However, since hand cannons have a high “projectile precision”, the first shot is still extremely precise. It lands exactly where you aim. With rapid follow-up shots, the projectile precision suffers.
Aim Assist
Aim assist is influenced by perks like “Hidden Hand” or various scopes. It does the following:
Crosshair Stickiness: When you have an enemy in your sights, the crosshair wants to “stick” to it and follows slight movements.
Bullet Magnetism: The bullet hits the target even when you slightly miss it. The bullet essentially changes its path after leaving the weapon. This aim assist is only effective at certain ranges (can be increased by range). The function of magnetism can be seen as a larger hitbox – as an area around the target in which shots still count as hits when you aim there.
Stability
Stability can be increased with perks like “Perfect Balance” or “Reinforced Frame”. It has two effects:
Barrel Movement: With each shot, the weapon has a certain recoil. This jerking motion can occur vertically and/or horizontally. The more stability you add to the weapon, the less it moves during shots.
Aim Assist Degradation: The higher the stability, the longer and faster the aim assist works again.
Official numbers on these observations are not available from Bungie. Therefore, you should take them with a grain of caution. What are your experiences with these values?
The MMO SciFi shooter Defiance is still alive and receiving new updates. Therefore, a new event is currently online where you face a plague with flamethrowers.
For centuries, humanity has known an effective remedy against all kinds of plagues: fire! And what worked wonderfully in the Middle Ages works just as well in the future of Defiance. In the current ArkFall event “Outbreak,” an epidemic is spreading that unleashes disgusting plague mutants upon us.
To deal with the contaminated minions, Defiance provides us with a bunch of napalm weapons.
You’ll burn everything that even remotely looks like a plague servant until May 22nd. One of the coolest new weapons is the “Calamity Rocket Launcher” from the new weapon manufacturer CDC. It fires several rockets at once, incinerating everything. There’s also the new napalm synergy that deals more damage – including over time.
The Elder Scrolls Online receives a new class, the Warden, with the new chapter expansion Morrowind. The developers at Zenimax have now explained how this came about and what its prerequisites were.
The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind – “The Warden is intended to be new”
In an internal interview, Lead Combat Designer Eric Wrobel, Senior Animator Silvia Littlefield, and Lead VFX Artist Cambria Blaize spoke about the work on the new class. It was important to the developers from the beginning that the Warden becomes something new and unique. A nature class with pets was already a good start. The animations emphasized fluid, natural movements, and to ensure clear distinction, the Warden’s effects are teal and dark blue.
Many skills were considered for a long time and many were changed during development. For instance, the current tank tree “Winter’s Embrace” was originally intended to be responsible for damage. However, since the other two trees for animal companions and nature magic were not suitable for tanking, Winter’s Embrace was chosen while animal companions became the damage-dealing tree. According to Eric Wrobel, there came a point where there were simply no further skill ideas on the topic of “Mudcrab Armor”.
The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind – Warden – Easy to learn, hard to master
The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind can also be played by complete newcomers without prior knowledge of ESO. Therefore, the new class should not become a hero only for professionals but should also appeal to beginners. Thus, the Warden is suitable for all three roles: tank, damage dealer, and healer. The trick, according to Wrobel, is that the Warden can be easily learned, but skilled players will be able to get even more out of it.
To ensure that the Warden is neither too strong nor too weak, it is constantly monitored and player feedback is evaluated. This allows developers to quickly determine where there are inconsistencies and make changes. This was already done during the design process.
The Warden’s bear was just a boring follower without its own activated abilities; there was no team spirit with the shaggy creature. However, since the bear now has activatable skills, it deals more damage and genuinely feels like a loyal friend and companion.
In a Q&A session, Blizzard updates the community on the Necromancer in Diablo 3. Here’s what you should know.
In January, there was already a Q&A session about the Necromancer in Diablo 3. It provided a rough overview of what we can look forward to and which skills the Necro will use.
In yesterday’s Q&A session, the Blizzard team spoke about the current state of affairs and what challenges the Necromancer faces. They also addressed feedback from many testers who can already play the Summoner on the PTR servers.
Pets, Skills, Mechanics, and Reworks – The Q&A Summary
At the beginning, the team, consisting of Community Manager Brandy Camel, Lead FX Artist Julian Love, and Senior Game Designer Travis Day, introduced the Necromancer pack. The Summoner comes with two additional character slots, two extra stash slots, a pet, cosmetic wings, a portrait frame, a banner, a banner sigil, and a flag. Once again, there was no new information about the price and release date of the Summoner.
Sets and Portals: There will be four class sets and set portals for the Summoner.
Number of Set Pieces: Sets will not consist of seven or more pieces.
Damage Type: Primarily, the Necro kit consists of physical damage. Cold and poison damage are also part of the kit, but are not as frequently represented.
Melee Set: The Saint set is more aimed at players who prefer the “melemancer” playstyle.
Curse Mechanics: To get ideas for the curses, the team looked at Diablo II mechanics. Not all curses are designed to “just increase damage,” but they all have slight differences.
Thorns Build? There is no specific thorns set for the Necro. However, there are smaller “things” that are beneficial for this playstyle.
Resource Cost Reduction on Life Points? Players asked if the resource cost reduction would also affect the cost of life points. The designers were close to incorporating this mechanic but ultimately decided against it. Given the many interactions with legendary items, this mechanic would be too risky.
Pets, Plague Set, and Necro Expectations
More Pets? Currently, there are no items that increase the timers or the limit of pets. Instead, items are on the way that will allow you to reach the pet limit faster or further buff the companions.
Plague Set Synergy: The Plague Set will receive cool legendary items next week that harmonize particularly well with the set.
Expectations: The Summoner was designed based on the expectations of players with curses, pets, blood, and bones. The developers did not specifically focus on 2-, 3-, or 4-player rifts during the design.
Summoners are squishy! Travis Day paid attention during testing to how players perform with the Necro in high rifts. It was noticeable that Summoners are squishy and take a lot of damage. More legendary items and skill changes are on the way to compensate for this.
Blood is Power Skill is Being Reworked – Was Broken
Originally, “Blood is Power” did: Every time you lose 5% health, all remaining cooldowns are reduced by 1%.
This ability now needs to be reworked because players could exploit the skill to become invincible and have a massive damage output.
The theme of this ability will not change but is intended to be less “broken.” Additionally, the invulnerability rune of the Bone Armor will be altered so that the cooldown starts only after the skill ends.
Weapons, Resources, New Legendary Items
Weapons, but no Armor: Summoners will get scythes as weapons. Similar unique armors are not planned.
Automatic Regeneration: Automatic regeneration of essence was internally tested but felt unsatisfying. Instead, generator skills have been made more efficient.
All Legendary Items: All new legendary items are expected to be available next Tuesday.
Changes to the Blood Set: The Blood Set will undergo fine-tuning: healing mechanics should not consume stacks too quickly. The playstyle of the set will not change, but there will generally be more healing.
Two-Minute Skills Should Feel Really Strong, Reviving Allies: Interesting, But No
More Power: All two-minute skills from the Summoner should feel truly strong. Currently, the developers are observing how the sets and legendary items interact with the skills. Precise adjustments will follow based on these observations.
Reviving was a major challenge: In the game, there are over 1100 different monsters that had to be adjusted for revives.
Reviving Allies: Reviving allies would be an interesting idea. However, there are currently no plans to implement such a mechanic.
Iron Golem? The Iron Golem from Diablo 2 will not be present. The interaction of players would focus on items and less on gameplay, which felt “not right” to the developers.
Set Dungeon Rewards: Summoners will receive two flags as rewards. There will be no interaction with old achievements for set dungeons, so you will not need to complete these Necro dungeons for the wing reward.
Console and PC Need Separate Versions of Rise of the Necromancer
The Necromancer pack does not transfer to another platform. If you want to play the Summoner on PC and Xbox, you need to purchase the packs separately.
We show you in this post which budget decks can help you succeed in the Un’Goro expansion of Hearthstone . With these starter decks, you can get into Hearthstone!
If you want to play at the top level in Hearthstone, you either need to own a lot of cards or be a pretty good player – normally, both criteria must be met. However, to have fun even as a free-to-play player who only occasionally plays a few matches, solid decks are required.
If the money for card packs is not enough and you want to see how far you can go without spending much, then the best option is to go for inexpensive budget decks. The colleagues from Hearthpwn have selected 9 decks for this purpose, which we want to briefly introduce to you in this post.
All presented decks do not include epic and legendary cards and have – if you do not own any of the cards – a crafting cost between 1000 and 1600 Arcane Dust. Even penny-pinchers should have that much saved up.
The druid deck relies on fast, crisp rounds, which ideally are quickly dealt with by a malevolent beastie with appropriate mutations. Essentially, the deck is based on the plan to flood the board with as many minions as possible to then swiftly defeat the opponent with a Roar of the Wild.
With the Hunter, the popular Rush technique is also employed. The game board is quickly flooded with numerous wild animals, which are then enhanced by the Master Hound. Classics like Cask! and the Animal Companion are spiced up with some new cards – here too, the Malevolent Beastie makes a great appearance. Face is the place!
For Mages, a Tempo Mage was also chosen, who maintains control long enough with strong spells and some frost effects to annihilate the opponent in just a few turns. Major threats are eliminated by the Shatter card or through a Portal: Firelands, which subsequently brings a powerful minion.
The Kickstarter campaign for the MMORPG Ashes of Creation is going very well. After reaching the funding goal within just 12 hours, it has now surpassed the 1 million dollar mark.
Ashes of Creation seems to have hit a nerve with MMORPG fans. While other Kickstarter campaigns for online role-playing games have not fared so well, the interest in the game from Intrepid Studios appears to be significant. This is likely due to the team’s truly good and interesting ideas. Additionally, Ashes of Creation has already shown material from the game. And it looks good.
More than a million dollars!
By reaching the 1 million dollar mark within just 36 hours, the first stretch goal was unlocked. This allows gambling to make its way into the taverns, which you can play together with other players.
In addition, the developers presented some of the mounts from Ashes of Creation, which will be exclusively available to backers of the Kickstarter campaign. These include particularly ornate and decorated horses, the Moonstrider Mule, which is slow but can carry a lot, and the Dawnbreaker Mount, which allows you to fly through the air.
Stretch Goals within Reach
If 6,500 supporters are reached for the campaign, then every backer will receive a kitten and a puppy as pets. The next two stretch goals seem to be within reach given the speed with which the campaign is progressing. These include group mounts that can only be driven by groups of players and ships and sea voyages.
Ashes of Creation shows how great the interest in MMORPGs is – as long as they develop in a direction that many fans desire. The online role-playing game is expected to be released in late 2018. An alpha could start later this year.

The VR “Online RPG” Age of Heroes could be a step towards Sword Art Online. But this future is still a long way off.
In the anime “Sword Art Online”, the virtual reality of an MMORPG becomes reality for its players. The popular anime revolves around the “Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game” Sword Art Online.
Players immerse themselves in this fantasy world, become the heroes and characters they play, experience adventures there, and can no longer log out. Those who die in the game are also dead in real life. The complete virtual experience.
Sword Art Online – the dream
For some, what is described in the anime is the complete merging with a character in a fantasy world, a beautiful dream, an ideal concept. Escapism in its purest form to escape the banalities of everyday life.
When IBM announced in 2016 as part of a promotional campaign that they would create a kind of demo for “Sword Art Online”, a fan said he would give 100 years of his life just to spend 1 year in Sword Art Online.

Yet Sword Art Online was written in 2002 and takes place in the then-distant future, in the year 2022.
In the real year 2017, virtual reality is still in its infancy. Most “Virtual Reality” games are experiments and simulate movements or simple activities. We are still some way from an immersive world. But: There are advances.

In a video about the game, you can see how the player performs gestures in the real world and then casts spells, draws the bow, or strikes with their character. The developer estimates the gameplay duration of his game at 90 minutes.
Still a good way from “Sword Art Online”, but it is a step in that direction that fans yearn for. Age of Heroes has at least received Greenlight on Steam. Here is the Greenlight page for Age of Heroes.
Age of Heroes is being developed for Oculus Rift, Vive and PlayStation VR.
