Players who intentionally let themselves be killed (feeding) will face harsher penalties in League of Legends. Riot is planning an improved system against trolls.
Good news for fans of fair play in League of Legends. Trolls or feeders are expected to be better recognized by the system in the future and receive harsh penalties.
The so-called feeders intentionally die in the game to give the enemy an advantage, causing frustration in their own team.
Penalties for Feeders in LoL
In the League of Legends subreddit, Comms Director Ben “draggles” Forbes spoke out. There, a thread reported a feeder who, despite multiple reports, continues to wreak havoc in League of Legends and ruins games for summoners.
Draggles explained to the frustrated players that there will soon be some changes regarding this issue in LoL. He wrote that Riot itself is not satisfied with the current system that is supposed to recognize intentional feeders. Flamers are already being recognized better than before. However, trolls are not stopped quickly enough.
In the coming weeks, there should be changes to this system, which keeps the trolls in check:
There will be changes to the automated system that Riot hopes will allow for quicker detection of intentional feeders. While it will never work “perfectly,” the team expects to catch more intentional feeders this way. The rate of reported innocentplayersshouldn’t increase.
Until the improved system is in place, more manual reviews and bans will be conducted.
In the long run, they want to change the system more profoundly to make trolling harder. However, this all still needs to be developed and won’t happen in the coming weeks.
Riot understands the players’ frustration and takes the issue very seriously: “We haven’t said anything about this topic for a long time. It’s unacceptable that players ruin matches by intentionally dying. We are taking the planned improvements to the system very seriously and hope that we can better stop this behavior.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting the Glock 18-C as a new weapon with the upcoming monthly update. The planned zombie mode will feature fast and vigilant player zombies.
What is worse than a horde of rotten zombies staggering towards you? A horde of rotten zombies rushing at you screaming! Such fast zombie hordes were disturbingly depicted in the movie World War Z and, according to lead developer Brendan Greene, soon in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

The zombies from the planned zombie mode for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds are supposed to be controlled by players and move quickly. However, they are unarmed and usually cannot pick up weapons. They must bite and tear their enemies in close combat.
To find their victims better, they are supposed to have sharp senses. Brendan Greene is thinking of enhanced hearing so that the undead can hear other players moving from a distance. Or that zombies can detect footprints.

However, zombies are far from all that Brendan Greene has in mind for his game. Already, some new content has been added to the game, such as the VSS Vintorez or the recently introduced custom servers. These have so far only been made available to well-known streamers who have tested custom game modes, like a zombie horde mode. We have embedded a video of that here.

For future updates, Greene plans to implement a feature that allows you to jump over obstacles like garden fences or window frames. There will also be a replay feature and two new maps are definitely planned. For the major content update in June, the Glock 18-C pistol is on the agenda.
The gun can be either fully automatic or semi-automatic and can use a red dot sight and a suppressor. Overall, Brendan Greene claims that they have content plans for the next five years.
Blizzard is collaborating with Twitch. As a reward, all customers receive Overwatch loot boxes – and these even come with a guaranteed Legendary!
Since Twitch was acquired by Amazon, there have been various promotions with different games to make the “Twitch Prime” service (link to Twitch) more attractive. Now it’s Blizzard’s turn, and there are rewards to be claimed for Overwatch.
You start with a golden loot box. This is different from a regular Overwatch loot box in that it contains at least one legendary item! At best, there’s a new skin for your favorite hero, and at worst, a nice amount of credits for purchasing other cosmetic upgrades.

But that’s not all. In the coming months (August and October), there will be 5 regular loot boxes each, and “additional promotions” are still planned.
The Twitch Prime membership is already included with Amazon Prime. Therefore, those who already have a Prime membership with the online shop can pick up the rewards directly. Everyone else must consider whether the overall package is worth it to become a member of the Prime services.
In the future, there will also be rewards for other Blizzard games through Twitch Prime. Card packs for Hearthstone and loot chests for Heroes of the Storm have already been hinted at. However, there are no specific dates and details yet.
Aside from that, Blizzard has now entered into a deal with Twitch. All major eSports tournaments in the coming years will only be streamed through Twitch or the official Blizzard site. Developer Comments:McCree’s ultimate ability can deal a lot of damage if given enough time. However, it was often too difficult to deal any damage to enemies before he was interrupted or killed. These changes make his ultimate ability more versatile and powerful.
Reaper
Soul Harvest (Passive)
Health orbs have been removed.
Reaper now receives 20% of the damage he deals to heroes as healing.
Developer Comments:Reaper’s old passive healing ability was useful when he could take out multiple enemies in succession. However, because the enemies actually had to be killed for it to be worthwhile, it only paid off when he was already at an advantage. He can benefit more immediately from his new passive ability, especially in fights against tanks who are usually larger targets and deal less damage.
Roadhog
The head hitbox has been reduced by 20%.
Scrap Gun
The damage per pellet has been reduced by 33%.
The fire rate has been increased by 30%.
The magazine size has been increased from 4 to 5.
Developer Comments:Roadhog’s head was huge compared to similarly sized heroes, so we’re reducing the hitbox a bit to give him more survivability. The changes to the Scrap Gun reduce the punch of his hook combo and the instant damage of his secondary fire mode, but his damage per second remains roughly the same.
UI CHANGES
A brief summary of each player’s most played heroes is now available when selecting a player in the group menu of the communication menu (the displayed statistics change according to the mode/rules).
The new “All Modes” option, where players can view their overall statistics from all game modes, has been added to the “Career” menu.
The new “All Ranked Seasons” option, where players can view their overall statistics from all ranked seasons, has been added to the “Career” menu.
The statistic “Damage Dealt” has been replaced by “Damage Against Heroes” in several places.
The new statistics “Damage Against Barriers” and “Total Damage” (which shows total damage against barriers and heroes) have been added to the statistics in the “Career” menu.
Averages are now calculated based on ten-minute time spans instead of played matches.
The “Match Rating” option no longer appears at the end of a match.
Developer Comments:The new statistic “Damage Against Heroes” functions like the old statistic “Damage Dealt”, but it does not include damage against barriers, only damage against heroes and placed objects (like Torbjorn’s turret). The new statistics “Damage Against Barriers” or “Total Damage” show the remaining dealt damage. However, since both statistics “Damage Against Heroes” and “Damage Against Barriers” are brand new, their averages will only be calculated from the point they were introduced into the game.
Additionally, with the old statistics, the total amount of damage dealt was divided by the number of matches played to calculate an average value. However, this did not reliably reflect actual performances, as match lengths were not taken into account. The new averages are now calculated based on ten-minute time spans.

A bug was fixed that caused players to lose progress on their “Dangerous” meter after it was completely filled.
A bug was fixed that caused the respawn timers of medkits to not display correctly after a player experienced connection issues.

A bug was fixed that caused the announcer’s “Select Your Hero” line to play on the end screen after elimination games.
A bug was fixed that caused no Zs to appear over sleeping enemies in elimination games.

A bug was fixed that caused your first win in the “Career” menu to be displayed as a loss.

A bug was fixed that caused some settings in the summary not to display correctly when viewing 3v3 elimination templates.
An error message was rephrased that appears when players attempt to leave the “Settings” page with an invalid combination of settings.
A bug was fixed that caused the lighting of medkits to display when they were disabled on capture the flag and elimination maps.
A bug was fixed that caused Torbjorn’s ability armor pack to function even when it was disabled in the custom settings.
Heroes
A bug was fixed that prevented players from hearing the line when using their ultimate ability if the hero was stunned before use.
A bug was fixed that caused D.Va to get stuck if her mech was destroyed immediately after summoning.
A bug was fixed that prevented Genji’s sound effects from playing when he used his primary attack immediately after a dash.
A bug was fixed that caused Orisa not to move slower when firing her fusion cannon.
A bug was fixed related to the English variant of Orisa’s line “Satisfied with your protection?”.
A bug was fixed that prevented Orisa’s supercharger from being destroyed when run over by the payload.

Let’s break this down a bit. Kil’Jaeden is (presumably) finally destroyed and threatens to crash to the planet Argus with the heroes. Illidan uses the Sargerei Keystone to establish a connection to Azeroth and instructs Khadgar to teleport everyone to Azeroth.
However, only there does the full extent of Illidan’s actions become clear. The portal was so gigantic that it causes a rupture in the fabric of space – Azeroth is now right next to Argus!
When asked about this, Illidan explains that this was exactly his plan. Because with Argus “right at the doorstep”, it is much easier to attack and destroy the heart of the Legion.
What’s particularly cool is the fact that Illidan speaks the same words he said back then in the cinematic from Warcraft III: Frozen Throne: “Sometimes the hand of faith must be forced” – The hand of fate must sometimes be guided.
In summary, one can say that the whole action is a typical “Illidan move”, as known for years. A high risk for high reward – and without particularly intelligent foresight.
Illidan did the same during the summoning of the Naga in “Frozen Throne” and also risked the destruction of Azeroth when he wanted to destroy the Frozen Throne with the Eye of Sargeras.

The Game Director of Destiny 2 says that Bungie is getting better at making Destiny. He admits mistakes in Destiny 1 and explains what Bungie has learned from them for Destiny 2.
Bungie is notoriously tight-lipped. In January 2016, the head of the company was replaced and there wasn’t even a hint of a comment from the outside. Usually, Bungie sends Community Manager DeeJ to press events or his boss Eric Osborne. Both are media professionals who don’t let anything slip and only say what they want to say and nothing more.
Smith is a former journalist and worked his way up from being a joke writer at Bungie to the chief creative of Destiny 2 over 10 years. In an interview with the US site Kotaku, for which Smith used to write himself, the details are revealed. Smith admits weaknesses in Destiny 1.
For Destiny 2: A consistent story with consequences
As Smith says, Bungie is getting better at making Destiny. He gives examples of what they have learned from the mistakes of Destiny 1.
In the previous years, the story lacked progression, that actions have consequences and build towards something. Here, they definitely want to improve.
When Lord Saladin declares at the end of “The Rise of Iron Lords”: “You are a hero. In the final battle, the fallen Iron Lords will stand by your side,” they really want to deliver such a battle to the players and leave them with a satisfying ending. This is important for the coming years of Destiny.
The best Destiny yet
According to Smith, a lot has been done internally to ensure that Bungie is now better at developing Destiny. They have stability in the development teams and leadership.
In Destiny 2, Smith sees the opportunity to revamp Destiny and open the game to a lot of new people. And they want to offer the best Destiny they have ever made.
Currently, Smith is in the last 6-8 weeks of work on Destiny 2. The team has significantly shrunk, and now they are more agile and can still make changes.
What Bungie learned from Destiny 1: Teams, not egos
What Bungie has further learned from Destiny 1 is how important developer teams are. In Destiny 1, Game Director Jason Jones had a group of people around him, but it didn’t function as a leading team should.
For Destiny 2, they adopted the leadership team from “The Taken King” and added a few members. After Producer Noseworthy and Smith finished with TTK, Bungie asked them: “What do you want to do next?” And the answer was: “Whatever, as long as our team stays together.”
The philosophy at Bungie now is that the team is more important than the individual. A group of people who work creatively together, share the same values, and get things done. For Bungie as a company, it is important to form such groups of people and keep them together.
What Bungie learned from Destiny 1: Make decisions “down low”
It’s also about keeping egos in check and delegating responsibility to smaller teams. For example, the new subclasses come from the sandbox team. It does not work that directives are given from above to be implemented below but rather one must understand and harness the teams’ passion.
Also, the decision to switch to 4v4 came from discussions with the sandbox team. The sandbox team in Destiny is responsible for weapon and class balance.

The Tomb of Sargeras in World of Warcraft is open. At least for normal and heroic raiders, it is finally starting again.
Players of World of Warcraft had to endure twelve long weeks since the release of Patch 7.2 “The Tomb of Sargeras” before they can finally enter the new raid instance. But today, on June 21, 2017, the starting shot has finally been fired, and the Tomb of Sargeras opens its gates.
At least on normal and heroic difficulty, players can already let loose. For the mythic difficulty, professional raiders can still prepare for a week and gather initial experiences against the bosses on the easier levels.

In total, there are 9 bosses to defeat in the Tomb of Sargeras, including some prominent figures such as the Avatar of Sargeras and Kil’jaeden, one of the greatest commanders of the Burning Legion.
Additionally, some hotfixes are active since today that nerf particularly strong classes and buff weaker classes. For example, Vengeance demon hunters receive some damage reductions, while Arcane and Fire mages can look forward to a significant boost. You can find the complete class hotfixes listed in this post.
A final tip: From today, legendary items drop with an item level of 970, and the “old” legendaries can be upgraded to the new level!

The new Pokémon GO update 0.67.1 for Android and 1.37.1 for iOS is now rolling out and brings the arena update to the game.

Finally, the major arena update is being activated in Pokémon GO, bringing you cool changes that are meant to make the game even more interesting. In a major announcement, we already explained to you which new features and functions the arena reset brings and what the rework should look like.
The patch notes for the new Pokémon GO update were announced by the developers on Tuesday evening (June 20):
Arenas will be significantly revamped and will bring the new motivation system for Pokémon
There are now arena medals in the game
Push and app internal notifications for arenas are active in the new patch
Raid battles will be activated to allow a new type of gameplay

When exactly the update will be available for download is not yet known. However, the disabled arenas are expected to be reactivated as soon as all players have access to update 0.67.1.

Update: Apparently, Blizzard’s statement was a mistake. The Moon Colony Horizon map is indeed already available in Ranked. Bill Warnecke apologized for the confusion and stated that this delay will only occur with later maps. In plain terms, this means: The new map is available in all modes!

The new patch 1.12 / 2.14 of Overwatch goes live tonight (06/20/2017). The highlight is likely to be the new map Moon Colony Horizon. In this new “Capture Point” map, players can not only take advantage of low gravity but also learn more about the backstory of the gorilla and scientist Winston. The moon base was ultimately destroyed by a gorilla uprising, and only Winston managed to escape.
However, those who intended to play the Moon Colony Horizon directly in ranked mode will be disappointed. In the official forum, developer Bill Warnecke explained that the Moon Colony Horizon will not be available in ranked mode for a week.
Grace Period for Ranked Matches
This, however, has nothing to do with possible bugs or errors of the map, but has a valid reason. All players should first be able to get used to the new map in Quick Match and Arcade. The Fire and Ice event (Solstice) in Pokémon GO ends today if everything goes according to plan.
Since last week, trainers in Pokémon GO can take advantage of various bonuses related to the Fire and Ice event. For example, there are more Pokémon of the mentioned monster types, higher experience points for various actions in the game, and discounts on Lucky Eggs in the shop.
If everything goes according to plan, the event will end today. However, the current login issues might cause an extension of the event.

Last Tuesday, on June 13, the Fire and Ice event in Pokémon GO, also known to players as Solstice, began. During the event, you can find more Fire and Ice Pokémon, earn more experience points for good throws and hatched Pokémon, and buy Lucky Eggs at a 50% discount in the shop.
However, the event is only officially active for a few more hours. The event was scheduled from June 13 at 10:00 PM German time until June 20 at 10:00 PM German time. Accordingly, it officially ends tonight.
Since last night, trainers have been struggling with login issues, particularly affecting PTC connections. Login issues in the past have already led to events being active longer than originally planned. Niantic likely wanted to compensate players for the problems.
Due to the current problems, there could also be an extension for this event. But that is not officially confirmed, and is only a speculation from some trainers in the community. We will find out ourselves if the bonuses in the game are still active around 10:00 PM, or if the event really ends as planned. As already suspected, Niantic has now extended the event. The Steam rating of GTA 5 is currently only “balanced”. Players are showing frustration in negative reviews and collecting signatures to save OpenIV.
The ban on the popular OpenIV mod is still receiving negative criticism from the GTA 5 developers. And this is unlikely to change anytime soon, but rather worsen. So far, nearly 60,000 people have signed a digital petition to save OpenIV. The recent reviews on Steam are extremely negative, and the game now has an overall “balanced” rating.
Signature milestone approaching
Recently, Rockstar Games and Take-Two sent a cease and desist to the developers of the OpenIV mod. In this, they demanded that work on the modification cease. The developers complied with the request and no longer offer the modification.
This frustrates many fans, as with OpenIV they were able to incorporate and use new content or textures in the single-player mode of GTA 5. Entirely new game modes were also made possible through this mod. With OpenIV, it was expected to also allow playing on the Liberty City map within GTA 5.

Since the news of the cease and desist reached the public, signatures for the rescue of OpenIVare being collected on Change.org. Together with supporters, they aim to pressure Rockstar to “legalize” the popular mod again.
When we reported on this three days ago, there were about 28,000 signatures. That number has more than doubled as of today. The petition now has 60,809 supporters. The milestone of 75,000 signatures is thus not far away.
Since the ban on OpenIV was announced, players have been expressing their frustration with the Steam reviews of Grand Theft Auto V. The reviews of games there are divided into two categories: “Recent” and “Overall”.
Recent ratings are from the last 30 days. Currently, there are about 44,000 reviews for GTA 5, of which only 12% are positive. This results in a rating of “Extremely Negative”.
Overall includes all reviews of the game. There are about 234,000 of those, of which only 66% are positive. GTA 5 actually had a good rating on Steam but now only has an “Balanced” rating.

To ensure the negative reviews are clearly displayed, users vote that the reviews were “helpful” so that they don’t get lost. The top review was rated as helpful by 24,496 people. The message behind it is clear:

In FIFA 17 FUT, a new TOTS (Team of the Season) is announced. The Rest of the World TOTS can be obtained in packs in Ultimate Team starting today.
The TOTS celebration in FUT 17 continues. Currently, the Serie A TOTS is available in packs. This evening, on June 20th at 7 PM, the Rest of the World TOTS will join.

This is likely what EA Sports was thinking in this year’s battle for the crown of virtual football when they managed to hire Cristiano Ronaldo as the face of FIFA 18. However, CR7 could now pose greater problems for the publisher.
For the past few days, rumors have been swirling in the football world: Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have intentions to change clubs. Several top European clubs have been mentioned as potential new teams – from Bayern Munich to PSG and Manchester.
Our reader BigFlash88 recently posted a question in the comments that likely interests many FIFA fans: “What will happen if Ronaldo really changes clubs – will he still appear on the cover of FIFA 18 in the Real jersey?”
Cristiano Ronaldo is more than just the cover star of FIFA 18
The potential problems are not limited to the cover: A change from CR7 would also pose challenges for the story mode and the marketing of FIFA 18. This year, EA is fully relying on the multiple world footballer:

In the previous trailers, Cristiano Ronaldo was front and center as a Real player. In other words, the entire advertising machinery is built around a Ronaldo who plays for Real Madrid.
Parts of the gameplay were created based on CR7: His sprinting, running frequency, skills, and shooting technique were recorded using “Real Player Motion Technology” to provide more realism and new player personalities.
Additionally, Cristiano Ronaldo is featured along with other football stars in the story mode “The Journey: Hunter Returns”. In this, he is supposed to meet Alex Hunter early on and suggest that he switch to Real Madrid.

A transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo – how would it affect FIFA 18?
The FIFA series aims to bring real-world football action to the virtual field as accurately as possible. When a player changes clubs in reality, it also affects that player in the current FIFA edition.
If the cover star changes clubs before a release, EA Sports will need to respond. A player wearing the “wrong” jersey does not look good on an important cover.
Will the cover be redesigned? Will the story mode be rewritten? Could the release possibly be postponed? Some fans are already imagining the most adventurous scenarios.
If CR7 does indeed change clubs, it would certainly be “unpleasant” for the story mode – however, it does seem unrealistic that it would be rewritten or changed for that reason. After all, this mode only tells the story of Alex Hunter and aims lower than the other modes that aim to reflect reality.
Regarding the cover, an important question arises: What about the licenses? Presumably, there was not only a marketing deal with Ronaldo but also with Real Madrid that allowed the Real jersey to be displayed everywhere. If CR7 now changes clubs, previous contracts would likely have to be terminated, and new contracts would need to be negotiated with the new club. This is a problem that could cost EA time and money.
However, at this point a note: The possible consequences can only be speculated about at present. We have no insight into EA’s contracts. The colleagues at GameStar inquired with Electronic Arts, but they did not want to comment on the rumors regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer and possible consequences for FIFA 18.
Will there even be a transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo?
The rumor that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid has persisted stubbornly in the media. Every day, there are new reports about where he might go.
CR7 is accused of tax evasion and, as he misses the support from Real Madrid, it is said that he has fallen out with the club. Nevertheless, he has a valid contract until 2021, which includes a buyout clause of one billion euros according to Kicker – an amount that no club in the world would be able to pay.
However, some media are currently reporting that he could change clubs for a transfer fee of 200 million euros. This amount could be raised by some top clubs.
Ultimately, it remains: By September 1st at the latest, there will be certainty about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future. Because then the transfer window of La Liga will close. How a possible transfer would affect EA’s FIFA 18 remains to be seen.

Will Ark’s new patch v259 be released? There are no patch notes yet
There are currently no official patch notes for the new PC update. It is also not known what version number it will have. The last PC patch was version v258. Since it appears to be a larger patch, the new update could have version number v259.
