The Elder Scrolls Online has a long and turbulent history. From its release in 2014 to the first new chapter expansion Morrowind, a lot has happened in online Tamriel. Read here in our ESO timeline about the most important events in The Elder Scrolls Online.
The Elder Scrolls Online launched in 2014 as a mix of World of Warcraft and Skyrim. It aimed to please both fans of online role-playing games and single-player advocates. Unfortunately, the game failed to satisfy both target groups at that time. The MMO players found it lacking in online role-play elements, while the single-player faction was annoyed by the many “annoying” MMO elements.

But lead developer Matt Firor and his team at Zenimax did not give up, listened to feedback, and continued to develop the game until it became a success. What has happened on this long journey from near flop to MMO hit can be read in our ESO timeline.
The Year 2013 – The ESO Concept Takes Shape
Before The Elder Scrolls Online was released, there were already rumors and speculation about the upcoming travel MMO. Back then, the release date was announced, and the console launch was also expected to happen soon.
The head of Zenimax, Matt Firor, spoke for the first time about the release date of The Elder Scrolls Online. It was announced for April 4, 2014. The console versions were supposed to be released just two months later, in June.
The Year 2014 – Launch 2014, Glitches, Problems, and Delays
In 2014, ESO was released, but soon disappointment set in. The anticipated MMO hit that was supposed to excite solo players was neither here nor there and suffered from bugs and problems.
The release of the console version had to be postponed, and the new Kargstein region did not really convince many players. After the initial hype around the game, disappointment soon set in.
ESO received mixed reviews after the first closed beta test. The phasing, which was overly radical at that time, was criticized, as were lags in the combat system. Missing comfort features like a minimap were noted negatively. Some testers would have preferred a multiplayer mode for Skyrim instead of an MMORPG.
The Elder Scrolls Online finally launched, but many players encountered issues on launch day. The high influx overloaded the megaservers and caused queues lasting for hours.
The launch of ESO did not go smoothly. Even the weekend after the release on April 4, problems persisted. In PvP, bugs occurred during group searches, necessary subscriptions could not be completed, and rare enemies were massively farmed.
Numerous problems like dupe exploits, gold sellers, bots, and bugs significantly diminished the gaming experience of ESO. Therefore, ESO head Matt Firor reached out to the players and promised improvements.
Vampires were once far too strong in ESO. They dealt a lot of damage with spells and could heal themselves with their ultimate skill faster than one could bring them down. Thus, vampires were completely OP in PvP. Only later, with update 1.5, were vampires sufficiently nerfed to make them fair.
The console versions for ESO were originally planned for June 2014, but since the Zenimax team encountered several issues, the versions for PS4 and Xbox One were delayed by at least six months.
The first raid region Kargstein launched on the ESO servers at the end of May 2014. Back then, you could only enter as a raid team of 12 and race against other groups to defeat the big bosses there.
Also, the new release date for the console versions of ESO could not be kept at that time. It would take another half year before ESO finally also released on the consoles.
The Year 2015 – ESO Grows, Console Launch, and the First DLCs
The year of the release was not great for ESO, but that was supposed to change in 2015. The subscription model was dropped, turning ESO into a Buy2Play game.
Moreover, the now successful DLC expansions were introduced this year, including the highly praised new story about the Orc land Orsinium. With the console launch, ESO then began to see an upswing.
With update 6 came the long-awaited legal system and the ability to assassinate or steal from NPCs. This feature had always been a typical characteristic of the Elder Scrolls games, and its absence in ESO was sharply criticized since release. However, now that one could kill innocent NPCs, the game received a higher age rating.
In mid-March 2015, ESO transitioned from a subscription game to a Buy2Play title with a cash shop in less than a year. Those who purchased the game could now play it as long as they wanted without further subscription fees.
The launch on the consoles Xbox One and PS4 finally took place – more than a year later than planned. Unfortunately, the start on the consoles was not optimal; there were again issues with logging in and long queues. But at least the versions for PS4 and Xbox One were finally here. At that time, the later success on these platforms was hardly predictable.
In September 2015, the Imperial City was released as the first regular content DLC for ESO. The Imperial City featured a uniquely blended mix of PvE and PvP. Contrary to other assumptions, even PvP-refusing players could access the capital and face new dungeons and challenges there.
The second DLC, Orsinium, is released and impresses with its great story about the reconstruction of the Orc kingdom. In addition, there was a new region with its own quests and challenges. For many fans, this DLC became the new highlight of storytelling.
The Year 2016 – The “Skyrimming” of ESO Brings Success
After 2015 laid the groundwork for success, Zenimax continued with this concept. The recipe for success was “More Skyrim, Less WoW.” Therefore, the popular concept of DLC expansions with the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood was continued.
Additionally, the annoying veteran ranks in the endgame were finally removed and replaced with a more useful progression system. However, the biggest innovation was “One Tamriel,” which largely abolished level and faction barriers and made ESO finally an online Skyrim.
The third DLC, “Thieves Guild,” released and brought a group finder and a new raid. In the “Lorkhaj’s Maw,” players fought against killer space cats, and there were cool new loot to win. Additionally, new skills for thieves were introduced.
At the end of May 2016, the tedious veteran ranks in ESO were finally abolished and replaced with the current champion system. Also, the assassination DLC “Dark Brotherhood” was released. This DLC returned to the Gold Coast, the setting of Oblivion. Additionally, new skills for assassins and bloody missions from the Dark Brotherhood were introduced.
Matt Firor spoke again about The Elder Scrolls Online and mentioned player numbers. Based on the sold copies, there are over 7 million potential ESO players.
One Tamriel, the most significant addon for ESO, was released in early October 2016 and changed the entire game. From now on, players could explore all regions regardless of their level and allegiance. ESO finally became an online Skyrim over two years later.
The Elder Scrolls Online now had more players on consoles than on PC! Two-thirds of the player base played on Playstation 4 or Xbox One. A success that hardly anyone could have predicted at that time.
Shortly before Christmas, the controversially discussed lootboxes in ESO were released. For real money, players could acquire crates with randomly selected contents. Many players complained about the high prices and the element of chance.
Is ESO still worth it? And how has One Tamriel changed the game? We revisited The Elder Scrolls Online.
The Year 2017 – On to Morrowind!
After a very successful year in 2016, Zenimax recorded even more sales at the beginning of 2017. Additionally, the long-awaited housing addon Homestead finally arrived. However, the big news in 2017 was Morrowind, the first major chapter expansion where players revisited the well-known island of Vvardenfell from the legendary The Elder Scrolls 3.
The first major stand-alone addon for ESO was announced. It goes to Vvardenfell in Morrowind! This island was the setting of the legendary The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind in 2002, the first truly good game in the Elder Scrolls series.
The housing addon Homestead finally brought player houses and furnishings into the game. With housing, The Elder Scrolls Online finally had all the elements that make a proper Elder Scrolls game.
In February 2017, over 8.5 million players were said to have purchased ESO. The more content that came, the more successful The Elder Scrolls Online seemed to become.
We were able to play The Elder Scrolls Morrowind in the closed beta and wrote an experience report about it. Even at this point, it can be said: Morrowind will be a great new chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online.
Schuhmann took a thorough look at the new chapter of ESO in early access, but overall, he was disappointed. For him, Morrowind is more of a story DLC than a major expansion. The new chapter brings too few relevant gameplay changes and relies solely on the great story and nostalgic atmosphere.
To take down opponents in PvP like a Morag Tong assassin, you need a powerful PC. Therefore, we present the mighty Rogue PC and the Ninja Gaming Laptop. Also included is a full version of The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind for free!
After we already had a review of Schuhmann on The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind, Jürgen also chimed in with a review of the ESO chapter Morrowind. For him, Morrowind is the optimal addition to The Elder Scrolls Online.

The voice actress of D.Va is heating up the Overwatch fans. All indications point to a fresh cinematic!
Update: As Chung announced on Twitter, the reveal is neither a cinematic, nor a new skin, nor a comic, and not a restart of the Summer Games either. What it really is about and whether it is worth calling it a proper “announcement,” we will probably see tomorrow.
Original report:
Apart from new heroes and maps, the players of Overwatch mainly wish for one thing: more story! Ideally wrapped in beautiful cinematics that capture the soul of a character with bombastic musical accompaniment.
However, since the release of “The Last Bastion,” which revolved around the eponymous character Bastion, and the video about Sombra, not much has happened.
On Twitter, the voice actress of D.Va, Charlet Chung, has now caused a stir among fans. She announced: “Reveal on Friday! Small teasers throughout the week. #hype”

What initially revealed no further information was quickly examined by the community on Reddit. It turns out that Chung has only recently started following the Senior Animator of Overwatch, which has fueled the fans’ hope for a new cinematic.
D.Va’s story has a lot of room for a cinematic
D.Va’s background definitely provides a lot of room, as Korea is attacked by a huge Omnic at regular intervals in the lore of Overwatch. This Omnic continuously evolves when it is defeated and then attacks with renewed ferocity. The MEKA unit was established to defend against it, which includes D.Va.
The whole thing is more than just loosely inspired by typical “mecha” animes, such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, but precisely because of this it provides plenty of room for exciting stories.
Whether there is really something to this “teaser,” or if Chung means something entirely different, we will probably only know tomorrow.
Are you also hoping for a new D.Va cinematic perhaps tomorrow? Which aspect of her character would you like to see explored in more detail?
With the Guardians, you can expect massive world bosses in the sandbox MMORPG Albion Online that promise a lot of loot.
During your travels and adventures in the MMORPG Albion Online, you will also encounter the Guardians. These are world bosses which can yield you 2,560 level 6 resources if you manage to defeat them. For this reason, you will find the bosses at level 6 resource hotspots. They respawn after 12 to 48 hours.
Defeat the Guardians!
You can only defeat a Guardian in a group (10 players are recommended) and each boss requires a different tactic. You should act quickly in combat, because after 15 minutes, a boss goes into a rage, making it even harder to defeat.
It is helpful to unlock the “Scourge Master” on the Fate Board, which gives you an additional 60% bonus to attack and defense in combat against a Guardian.
The bosses you encounter in the game
Ancient White
Hit Points: 904,849
Auto Attack Damage: 3,000 (physical) to anyone standing in front of the Ancient White.
Avalanche: Anyone hit by the rocks thrown by the boss suffers 2,750 magical damage and is pushed back 15 meters.
Spirit Storm: The Mammoth summons 3 spirit mammoths that trample everyone in their path, dealing 3,750 magical damage and pushing their victims back 15 meters.
Elder Tree
Hit Points: 922,591

Rock Giant
Hit Points: 878,236
Auto Attack Damage: Ranged attack, 3,750 physical damage to each victim.
Earthquake: The Rock Giant stomps the ground, dealing 2,500 physical damage to everyone in a radius of 20 meters. Anyone within 10 meters of the Rock Giant takes an additional 6,250 damage.
Stone Prison: All players with a ranged or magical weapon are completely stunned and take 500 damage every three seconds (for a maximum of 15 seconds). To free them, the stones must be destroyed.

Auto Attack Damage: 3,818 (physical)
Devouring Swamp: Deals initially 2,500 magical damage and applies a lethal debuff to its target. For each charge of the debuff, speed is reduced by 20% for 20 seconds, 10% less threat is generated, and the debuff deals 250 damage per second for a total of 19 ticks.
Pulsing Thorns: Thorns circle the Dryad, which silence the target for 15 seconds on hit and deal 1,250 magical damage every 3 seconds for a total of 6 ticks.
Double Split: All players in front of the Dryad receive 2,500 magical damage.
Ore Colossus
Hit Points: 895,978
Auto Attack Damage: None
Giant’s Strike: The Colossus slams its fist into the ground, dealing 3,800 physical damage to the tank. This also causes Crystal Resonance. This debuff pulls players closer to the tank for 4 ticks every 8 seconds. The Giant’s strike also has a 50% chance to summon a straight line of four exploding crystals, each explosion dealing 3,000 damage.
Crystal Swarm: Each player within a radius of 30 meters around the Ore Colossus receives a crystal bomb. This explodes after 2.5 seconds, dealing 3,000 magical damage to the target and everyone within a 4-meter radius.
The MMORPG Albion Online officially launches on July 17.
In the new arenas of Pokémon GO you can expect thrilling battles, Pokémon motivation and gym badges. We will show you how the new features work.
As a Pokémon Trainer, you can show how strong your Pokémon are in gym battles. You can expect cool badges as rewards.
Niantic has significantly revamped the gyms and now offers you new features in and around the battle arenas. We will show you how to fight, take over gyms, increase your Pokémon’s motivation, and finally earn the defender bonus and gym badges.
Gym Update – Here are the new gyms
In Pokémon GO, you can battle against Pokémon from opposing teams in gyms. Trainers from all teams compete for control of the gyms. Each controlling team can assign six Pokémon to the gym to defend against attackers. If the attackers win, the gym comes under the control of the attacking team.
What are HP and CP: The success of a Pokémon in battle primarily depends on hit points (HP) and combat points (CP). HP indicate how much life a Pokémon has, while CP is a measure of the Pokémon’s strength. Monsters with high HP and CP can take a lot of hits but can also dish it out.
Motivation: Each Pokémon in a gym has a motivation meter. This shows how eager the Pokémon is to defend its spot. Trainers from the opposing team battle the defenders to lower their motivation. Defenders lose motivation through lost battles (and automatically over time).
Low motivation = Low CP: If a Pokémon loses its motivation, its CombatPoints decrease and it becomes weaker.
Motivation at zero: If a monster’s motivation drops to 0, it will leave the gym after the next battle lost and return to its trainer.
The goal at your team’s gyms is to increase the motivation of the Pokémon. You can do this with tasty berries.
The goal at an opposing team’s gyms is to gain control over them. You do this by demotivating the defending Pokémon in battles.
Gym Battles – Here’s how to win the fights
In a gym battle, you face off against the defending Pokémon of an opposing team. Each time you defeat a defender, their motivation decreases. When motivation hits zero, it leaves the gym after the next defeat. If you manage to defeat and send home all defenders, the gym is ready for your team’s takeover.
If the defenders of a gym are too strong, you can team up with other trainers to take the gym. Gyms can be challenged by multiple trainers at the same time. Players from two different teams can even join forces to take down a gym of a third team.
You fight in the order the defenders were assigned to the gym. The Pokémon that has been in the gym the longest will be your first opponent.
This is how to start a gym battle: Move within range of an opposing gym and tap the gym to enter. Then, choose up to six Pokémon you want to use as attackers. To fight, tap the corresponding battle button.
Attacks and Actions in the Gym – Here’s how to fight
If you ventured into the gym before the update, you will already know the three actions. For newcomers, these three moves are important:
Fast Attack: Tap on your screen to perform a fast attack. These attacks charge your “Charged Attack”.
Charged Attack: Once the Charged Attack meter is full, hold your finger on the screen to execute this attack. This will deal substantial damage to the opposing Pokémon.
Dodge: Swipe left or right with your finger on the screen to dodge the opponent’s attacks.
If you manage to lower the opponent’s HP to 0, the opponent faints and you win the round. After each round, you can decide whether to play another round or end the battle.
If all six of your Pokémon faint, you lose the battle. To replenish your fighters’ HP, you can use potions. Pokémon that have fainted can be revived with revives.
Taking Control of a Gym – Here’s how to occupy a gym
Neutral (gray) gyms can be occupied by trainers from any team. If you see an “open” gym on the map, you can go to that location and place a Pokémon there to bring the gym under your team’s control.
Open (gray) gym
Each team can assign up to six defender Pokémon to a gym. However, a single trainer can only assign one Pokémon from their collection to a gym. Therefore, you need help from your teams to fill a gym with defenders.
Additionally, it’s new that only one Pokémon of a species can be in a gym at the same time. If a Snorlax is already assigned as a defender in a gym, no second Snorlax can fit there.
Taking over a gym for your team: Move to the location of a gray gym and tap it on your display. Then tap on the add Pokémon button to assign a monster to the gym:
Caution: Your Pokémon will be assigned to the gym until it loses its motivation and is kicked out of the gym. Keep this in mind when choosing your monster.
Once a Pokémon from your collection is stationed in the gray gym, the color of the gym changes to that of your team (Red, Yellow, or Blue). Your monster stays in the gym only as long as it is happy. Treats like berries can increase its motivation so it can fulfill its role as a defender longer.
Replenishing Motivation – Increase Your Pokémon’s Motivation
If you find a gym in your team’s color, you know it is friendly towards you. To strengthen an allied gym, you can feed demotivated Pokémon berries. This increases the defender’s motivation and makes it harder for opposing teams to take the gym.
You can feed berries to all Pokémon in a friendly gym, not just your own. Pokémon are not picky eaters, so you can feed Berries (including golden ones), Nanab Berries, and Sanan Berries. Almost all berries produce the same amount of motivation. The exception is the golden berry, which fully restores a Pokémon’s motivation.
Earning Stardust in the Gym: When you feed Pokémon with berries, you receive Stardust and experience points as a reward.
How to feed defenders berries?
Visit a gym controlled by your team (Red, Yellow, or Blue). There you will notice that each Pokémon has its own motivation meter.
Tap on a Pokémon whose motivation you want to increase.
Then tap on the berry you want to feed the Pokémon. Each berry will increase the defender’s motivation.
Note: You can check the motivation of your own Pokémon anytime via the gym badges in your badge overview.
Earning Gym Badges – How to Get Them?
If you are active at a gym often and, for example, fight as an attacker, defend a spot with a Pokémon for a certain time, or feed Pokémon with berries, you earn a badge as a reward. These badges come in four categories/levels:
Standard
Bronze
Silver
Gold
You unlock the new badge levels by engaging more with the gym. As a reward for your efforts, the gym badges provide rewards. When spinning the photo disc, you receive additional items based on the badge.
Where are the gym badges?
To view the gym badges, tap your trainer profile icon during the map view in the game.
Scroll down to find the badge overview.
Tap the list button to see all badges.
To get more details about the badges, you need to tap the corresponding badge.
To see your badges on an extra map, you can also tap the badge map button.
Defender Bonus – Coins from the Gym
If you can station your Pokémon in a gym for an extended period, you will receive coin rewards. You can use these coins to purchase items in the Pokémon GO in-game shop, such as lures or other items.
Arena becomes a very special venue when a Raid takes place. Raids are cooperative experiences where you must battle a very strong raid boss (a Pokémon with extreme CP) in groups of up to 20 players.
These raids are announced by an egg above the gym, with a countdown ticking down. The raid boss will appear shortly after and is ready to be defeated by you for the next hour.
The latest Overwatch patch has declared war on cheaters. Many aimbots no longer work due to a simple color trick.
The fight against fraudsters and cheaters in online games is often exhausting, and most of the time, one feels that the developers of cheat software are always one or two steps ahead of the game manufacturers.
The latest patch of Overwatch (1.12 / 2.14) delivers a significant blow against cheating software, which is largely from the Korean region. Many aimbots utilize the RGB code of the outlines of the opposing heroes – namely the “red outline” on enemies – to pinpoint their exact location. This is then used to position the crosshair precisely over the enemy’s head.
Wrong colors confuse aimbots
The latest patch now includes a change. The color around the opposing heroes is slightly adjusted and altered in every match. These differences are not perceptible to the human eye, yet most aimbots struggle with a modified spectrum and numerous errors occur.
Furthermore, the exact width of the outline lines is also slightly changed, resulting in further fluctuations.
For honest players, nothing changes at all. The changes are essentially invisible and so minimal that only computer programs react to them – such as forbidden aimbots or other cheat software.
In recent months, Blizzard has intensified its efforts against fraudsters and hacks from South Korea. PC bangs, the equivalent of internet cafes, have already been significantly restricted. Koreans can now only create a single Overwatch account and must log in with it instead of using “public” accounts as they did previously.
A few more inches have never hurt: The LG 65UH625V offers a 65-inch image diagonal with UHD resolution – luxury TV at a flash deal price, today from 5 PM at Amazon. Also offering 65 inches and UHD is the curved TV Samsung KU6179 from 3:10 PM.
Somehow, it is indeed about size. And about technology, of course. Both are united in the LG 65UH625V: Rich 65 inches diagonal with high-resolution 3,840×2,160 pixels, a currently equipped triple tuner, and HDR Plus for contrast plays in console gaming and movie night. From 5 PM, Prime users get the chance for a significantly discounted device, while others start the flash deal 30 minutes later. Alternatively, from 3:10 PM, the Samsung KU6179 with also 65 inches and UHD is available – Samsung also gives its TV a slight curvature (curved).
The offers presented here are equipped with so-called affiliate links. With a purchase through one of these links, we receive a small commission from the respective provider. The prices remain unaffected, of course.

Chromie’s scenario from World of Warcraft receives a fair amount of criticism in hindsight. Cortyn is also not satisfied with the resolution – because there isn’t one.
After taking a few breaks from complaining (nice weather and E3 leave little room for dissatisfaction), I can now again draw from the full. Before anyone complains in the comments that it’s about WoW again: Quick! Your last chance to close the article!
Let’s talk about Chromie. She received a new scenario with patch 7.2.5, “The Deaths of Chromie.” Basically, I stand by my first assessment and consider the scenario with its ideas and possibilities to be one of the best pieces of content Blizzard has produced in Legion.
For all the unaware, here’s a brief summary: In the Chromie scenario, players try to prevent the death of the little dragon gnome. She is attacked simultaneously at eight locations, which must be prevented through skillful gameplay. Piece by piece, more hints are revealed on how to fend off the attacks at the same time, making it take many attempts before one can truly get through “perfectly.”
But it is this “perfect run” that is a thorn in my side. After finally managing to protect Chromie from all 8 dangers, the quest ended relatively unspectacularly. “Yes, thanks, well done, here take your transmog set. Bye.”
One stands a bit perplexed in front of the gnome and wonders: Excuse me? And who was behind the attacks? There is nothing more than a scroll from a rather angry author with a “strangely familiar” handwriting.
But wait: There is a bonus objective in the scenario! Those who rescue Chromie within 15 minutes and do not require “extra time” achieve an extra goal. There must be another hint and a reward or an achievement for that? After all, otherwise the bonus objective would be completely useless – oh. There is nothing of the sort. It is indeed useless.
Apart from that, there are still a few unresolved puzzles related to Chromie and her scenario. Why can Chromie still jump through time when the dragons lost their titanic power at the end of Cataclysm? What about the barrel of rum from Booty Bay that can be purchased in Stratholme? Why is the “cookbook of an arcanist” located at the Well of Eternity? Why can one fish such strange things in Andorhal? The WoW “Secret Finding” Discord server is still puzzling, but even here, dissatisfaction reigns.
By the way, this is what it looks like when you spend more than an hour in the scenario searching for secrets – soooo many buff stacks.
The scenario itself was incredibly cool and interesting – but the ending was a pure disappointment. Nothing was clarified, and the lack of a reward for completing it in under 15 minutes without using stolen time dampens the overall experience a bit.
Perhaps a small detail is simply missing that has been overlooked so far. Anyway: How do you like the Chromie scenario as a whole? Should Blizzard release more content like this? And who do you think is the culprit?
The Kung-Fu MMO Blade and Soul is getting a new dungeon update this month, featuring huge mechs and a quirky boss. Additionally, more raids are planned for 2017, and there’s some movement in the eSports scene as well.
The colleagues from MMORPG.com attended E3 and checked out NCSoft’s MMO Blade & Soul. They were shown the new Maestro class along with the next big dungeon and its boss. This is expected to be the craziest and strongest villain yet encountered in Blade & Soul.
Blade & Soul – Irontech Forge – The most vicious dungeon so far!
According to the E3 announcement, the new dungeon Irontech Forge will be available on June 282017. In it, you will raid a gigantic factory where massive mechs are produced. Of course, the mechs also serve as enemies and bosses in the instance.
However, at the end, there won’t be another mech waiting, but instead, a hulking guy who is supposed to look like a mix of a cowboy, a muscle man, and a hip-hop artist.
If you win here, you will receive new Soul Badges and a new weapon set as well. For those still wanting more, further raid content is expected throughout the rest of the year. NCSoft aims to focus more on raids in the future.
Blade & Soul – eSports – Europe, America, and Russia in the World Championship
If you’re not in the mood for PvE and raids, you can look forward to changes in eSports. Blade & Soul has long been a popular eSports game in Korea, but now other countries can finally compete in the Grand Finals. In the Grand Finals, the best teams are crowned, and this time players from Russia, North America, and Europe will join the professionals from Asia.
Master X Master is releasing today. Here is the download link for the coop shooter that aims to please both MOBA and PvE fans. The game is free to play.
In the game, there is an item shop for things like costumes, but you can unlock all the individual playable heroes.
The hero selection currently includes 37 characters. Most of them are original creations, but a handful comes from other NCSoft games, for example, Rytlock from Guild Wars 2 or Jinsoyun from Blade & Soul.
You select not one hero, but two. You then switch the active hero at the push of a button and can execute cool combos by enhancing a tank with a strong support ability from another hero.
Master X Master: An action-packed surprise bag for every taste
Depending on your taste, you fight with your hero duo in a 3vs3 deathmatch or in the 5vs5 MOBA against other players. If you don’t feel like PvP, you can optionally team up with up to two friends and shoot your way through exciting instances in coop, where bosses and loot await at the end.
For short breaks, there are also minigames to entertain you in a fun way. You have to dodge electric shocks or collect candies in an arena. No matter how you play Master X Master, there’s something for everyone’s taste. And thanks to the double heroes, there is much more variety in tactics in the game.
In The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind not all quests are simple gather-and-hunt tasks. Sometimes you need to strain your brain to solve a task. For example, the tricky Rainbow Colors riddle “Divine Inquiries” in Barilzar’s Tower.
Puzzles in online role-playing games are usually not worth mentioning. You typically have to solve some extremely simple logic puzzles to succeed. In The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind, the new ESO chapter, however, there are a few more challenging tasks.
One such quest is the section of “Divine Inquiries” in Barilzar’s Tower.
ESO Morrowind – The solution for the Rainbow puzzle Divine Inquiries
As you complete the great quest line “Divine Inquiries”, you will also come across the mages of House Telvanni and Barilzar’s Tower. The namesake researcher wants to conduct an important experiment with color crystals in which you are to help.
For the experiment to succeed, you must activate magical color crystals in the correct order. Just like in a rainbow. But what colors does a rainbow have and in what order do they appear?
The answer can be found here:
Red
Yellow
Green
Blue
Purple
If you activate the crystals in this order, you have solved the puzzle. If you prefer to see the solution of the puzzle as a video, we have embedded a YouTube post about it here. Have fun solving the riddle!

The struggling MMORPG The Black Death has been expanded with a new update that allows you to have servants work for you.
In the land of Mercia, it is now possible to acquire new estates. These give you the option to hire servants who will manage the farm for you, run your tavern, or do tailoring work for you. Each servant has their own bed and a chest to store their personal belongings. You can indeed loot this chest whenever you wish and keep the loot for yourself. Moreover, it is always possible to fire servants or hire new ones.
New navigation system and much more
To help you find your way better in the wilderness of the MMORPG, a navigation system has been introduced with the update. The compass now shows you certain locations.
Additionally, the durability system for items has been revised. Higher quality items are now significantly more durable. A number of fixes and balancing adjustments are also part of the Industry update of The Black Death.
However, the player numbers of the online game still look quite bleak. According to Steamcharts, a maximum of 60 players are online at the same time. The developers still have a lot to do to turn the tide.
However, the recent reviews on Steam are quite positive.
The online shooter Lawbreakers will not be released for Xbox One. Designer Cliff Bleszinski has now explained why this is the case.
When it was announced that the online shooter Lawbreakers would be released on August 8 for PC and PS4, Xbox One owners were angry.
Designer Cliff Bleszinski explained that he was accused of neglecting the platform that had brought him much success through the “Gears of War” series. However, Bleszinski sees it a bit differently.
No capacity for two console versions
He explains that he has a primary responsibility to his 65 employees. Many of them have families, and Bleszinski has to ensure that the lights in the company do not go out, so he can pay his employees and they can support their families.
Since he runs only a small development studio, he does not have the means to support more than one console. Because the PlayStation 4 has a larger player base than the Xbox One, he had to choose this platform to offer Lawbreakers to a larger number of players.
Beta is coming soon
This does not mean that Lawbreakers will never appear for Xbox One. Cliff Bleszinski does not rule out that such a version may follow at some point. However, the release of the game for PC and PS4 is currently the priority.
On June 28, a closed beta will start on PC, which will transition into an open beta on June 30, which will also take place on PS4. The beta will then end on July 3. The team intends to use the time afterward to evaluate player feedback and implement it if necessary before the release on August 8.
We show you how the new raid battles in Pokémon GO work. All the information about raid levels, finding raids, joining a raid, and defeating the raid boss.
The new raid battles in Pokémon GO are set to become one of the highlights of the summer. The cooperative features include some new functionalities that we will explain to you here. How do you find a raid battle, how do you join a raid, how do you fight, and how do you actually defeat the raid boss?
Finding a raid battle – What are raids?
Raid battles are the new cooperative factor in Pokémon GO. Up to 20 players fight together against a powerful raid boss. First, however, you need to find a raid. This is not difficult, as the game will notify you of such an occurrence.
You will receive a notification in-game when a raid battle is happening nearby. The “Nearby” overview will also show you the raids in your vicinity in a “Raid” selection. If you miss a battle, that’s okay, as they will occur regularly.
Before a raid starts, an egg will be displayed above the arena in the game. A countdown runs there, indicating when the raid boss will hatch and be ready for battle.
Joining a raid, participating in the fight
Select “Battle” to group with other players. “Private Group” to join an existing group with a code
Once the mentioned egg has hatched, the raid begins. You then have one hour to defeat the boss. Groups of up to 20 players can join the raid. Those who prefer to play with their friends can join the raid in a private group. Those who participate without a private group will be grouped with other nearby players.
To join a raid, you need a Raid Pass. There are two types of passes: Raid Passes and Premium Raid Passes. You get a Raid Pass by spinning the photo disc of an arena. However, you can only hold one of these passes at a time and can only receive one per day.
If you have already used your Raid Pass, you can purchase a Premium Raid Pass from the shop.
As in an arena battle, you then select six Pokémon to challenge into the raid. The group code that your friends need to join the group can be found in the upper right corner of the lobby screen. In the following image, you can see it with the three Bulbasaur:
Fighting in a raid, attacking and using abilities
Once you participate in a battle, you have three different action options: Fast Attack, Charged Attack, and Dodge. You probably already know this selection from arena battles.
Fast Attack: Tap on the screen to perform a fast attack. These attacks charge your Charged Attack.
Charged Attack: Once the Charged Attack gauge is full, hold your finger on the display to perform this attack. This deals a lot of damage.
Dodge: Swipe left or right to dodge attacks from the raid boss.
Healing Pokémon during a raid battle: You can escape from the battle at any time to heal your Pokémon with potions or revives. After that, you can re-enter the battle.
If you are unable to defeat a boss during a battle, you can rejoin the raid and try your luck in a new fight. You do not need a new Raid Pass for this, as they grant you access to matches for the entire duration of a raid. You can join as many times as you want before the raid ends.
Defeating and catching the raid boss – Rewards await you
Defeating a raid boss in Pokémon GO rewards you with special items for your account. These include golden razz berries, TMs for fast and charged attacks, and rare candies. Additionally, after a successful battle, you have the chance to catch the raid boss.
Rare candies are mysterious candies that become the candy of the Pokémon they are given to.
Golden razz berries significantly increase the catch chance of a wild Pokémon or restore the full motivation of an arena defender.
Two types of TMs (fast and charged) can permanently teach your Pokémon a fast or charged attack.
Furthermore, there are special Raid Poké Balls that you can use to catch the raid boss. If trainers from your team contributed significantly to the victory against the raid boss, the members of your team will be rewarded with additional raid balls.
Ultra Ball or Hyper Ball to catch raid bosses
You cannot use Ultra Balls or Hyper Balls to catch a raid boss. Only the mentioned raid balls can capture the strong boss Pokémon. However, you can use berries to increase your catch chance.
Take your time to aim: If your raid balls run out, the boss Pokémon will flee.
No access to arena after raid
If you have defeated the boss with your group, you cannot access the arena during the duration of the raids. Only when the raid battle is over will the arena reset to its original state (as it was just before the raid). All Pokémon that were stationed as defenders before the raid will return to their defender position.
Raid Level – Initially only Beta
The raid battles will be integrated into the game according to Niantic over the coming weeks. Initially, however, only as a beta (testing phase), in which only high-level players can participate. The level that these players must have is not yet determined. These beta battles will then take place at sponsored locations.
Over several days, more players will be invited and can participate in further arenas worldwide in raid battles. Via social networks, Niantic will announce when you can participate in raid battles. It’s also worth keeping an eye on our Pokémon GO Facebook group as well as the Pokémon GO Facebook page. News will appear there quickly.
Black Desert Online is quickly catching up to the Korea version. Just recently, the Awakening of the Fighter came out in the Far East, and now he has awakened here as well. With his battle armor, the Fighter and his clones beat opponents even more effectively, and every hero can loot more rewards to celebrate the day.
Black Desert Online recently received a new class with the cool Fighter, who uses his bare hands and feet to smash enemies, while other heroes wield powerful magic or heavy melee weapons.
Black Desert Online – Battle Armor – A Fighter rarely comes alone
Like all awakened heroes, the Fighter receives his Awakening weapon starting at level 56. Then he gets his battle armor, which not only makes him look cool but allows him to pummel opponents even more effectively. Certain moves are particularly strong, creating additional clone images of the Fighter.
https://youtu.be/fYJxgTeM1Fo
These doppelgangers made of liquid metal joyfully join the fight, providing even higher DPS numbers, as they double the Fighter’s damage. Also cool: Due to the molten metal, he gains entirely new fire skills, such as “Hellbreaker” or “Infernal Destruction”. You can see how the Fighter tests his new abilities on a horde of fire monsters in the embedded trailer below.
Black Desert Online – Patch Notes for the Fighter Update – Karma causes trouble
As always, a new awakened hero comes with a new patch that fixes bugs and initiates events. Among other things, the following changes are coming to the game:
From June 21 to July 12, the drop rate for black stones will be increased
A new combat arena will be available on Iliya Island starting at level 50
The animations of the sorceress and wizard during thunder strike have been revamped
The catchable “Giant Fox” now always reacts when attacked
Many monsters in Mediah have been revamped and now have less HP, but provide more XP
Young sorceresses now correctly wear colored underwear
The karma loss for killing players with PvP activated has been increased from 60,000 to 120,000
The karma loss in PvP is currently causing some trouble for many players, who see the open PvP being jeopardized.
The developers of Pokémon GO are against unfair play and are taking action against cheating Pokémon with this fun initiative.
In recent months, the Niantic team has repeatedly shown that they are against cheaters in Pokémon GO. Cheaters, for example, can no longer find items in the shop. These players include spoofers and other specific fraudsters who manipulate experience points and acquire new Pokémon in various ways.
Through the latest actions, Pokémon caught through cheats exhibit “strange behavior” and do not behave as expected. Players are very pleased with this new form of punishment and there is great schadenfreude.
Pokémon from cheaters behave “strangely”
The fight against fraudsters in Pokémon GO is welcomed by the “fair” players. Because players who have obtained their monsters through third-party software have long been a thorn in the side of a large part of the community.
With the new initiative against cheaters, Niantic is receiving digital applause on social media. Instead of simply banning cheaters, they are taking the fun out of the game and rendering their Pokémon useless.
On Reddit, NianticGeorge explains how the feature works: “With the announcement of raid battles and the new battle features, we remain committed to providing every trainer with a fair experience full of fun in Pokémon GO. That’s why starting today: Pokémon caught through third-party software (thus bypassing normal gameplay) will be marked in your collection.“
“Additionally, these monsters may not behave as one would expect.”
The Reddit community received this announcement very well. Players are pleased that cheating YouTubers are likely particularly upset about this and that their Pokémon will now be clearly marked as “unfair”. Furthermore, the monsters will be useless for the cheaters when they no longer obey or do “not behave as one would expect.”
There is already much speculation in the comments on this topic about the abnormal behavior. It would be funny, for example, if the attacks of the affected Pokémon were changed to Splash or Struggle.
How exactly this abnormal behavior will affect the game is still unclear. Perhaps some affected cheaters will soon show what unusual traits their monsters have since the update.
Update: 21.06. – First screenshots show how the cheating Pokémon now appear in the collection. This screenshot is from Reddit user KERL0N:
The Pokémon that were caught unfairly have been marked with stripes.
The Midsummer Festival in World of Warcraft is active again. We will tell you what has changed in 2017!
In line with the longest day of the year, the Midsummer Festival also begins in World of Warcraft. The days will become shorter again, and rewards become more numerous! Every year, a few minor details about the celebrations change. We provide you with a brief overview of what to look out for this year and how the festival proceeds.
As is customary with the Midsummer Festival, there is a special currency that can only be collected and used in World of Warcraft from June 21, 2017, to July 5, 2017: Brandblüten. You will find the corresponding vendors in all major cities of your faction.
Collecting Brandblüten at the Midsummer Festival in WoW
Brandblüten can be earned in various ways. Some of them are found in daily quests near the vendors. Tasks there include hitting the marked fire bowl during a torch toss or catching a torch multiple times while juggling – just pay attention to the shadow of the torch on the ground.
However, you will earn the majority of Brandblüten by traveling across the world and honoring or extinguishing the various fires in the game’s areas that belong to the opposing faction. Almost every area has two fires, making it take several hours to cover all points.
The rewards include a stylish set for transmogification, which can only be transmogged during the event. Additionally, there are numerous pets and toys.
New in 2017 is the toy Matchbox and the pet Fiery Flamekin. Together they cost 850 Brandblüten, so extensive farming work is likely required.
Frost Lord Ahune scales with player level
You should also check in with Frost Lord Ahune daily – a special event boss. Just register through the dungeon browser. This year he has cloaks with an item level of 850 in his loot! Those particularly lucky might receive the cool Frostsense, suitable for many transmogifications. Ahune can now be visited starting from level 70 – you no longer need to have reached the maximum level! You can also earn some Brandblüten for the daily kill.
In FIFA 17 FUT, TOTW 40 (Team of the Week 40) is known. These players will receive Inform cards today in Ultimate Team.

What is TOTW in FIFA 17 Ultimate Team?
Every Wednesday, EA Sports reveals the Team of the Week in the “Ultimate Team” mode of their annual football simulation. This is also true for FIFA 17. Players who performed outstandingly in real football the previous week are rewarded with special cards that have improved attributes.
You can draw the TOTW cards within a week from those sets that may contain Rare (Gold) players. However, the chance of doing so is assessed as low. Additionally, it is possible to buy them on the transfer market if they are offered by other players. However, prices are usually extremely high.
The MMO shooter Destiny 2 is not supposed to be as big a time sink as the first part. Destiny 2 should be able to be reconciled with real life.
The Game Director Luke Smith has outlined a difference between Destiny 2 and Destiny 1 in an interview with the site Gamesradar. According to Smith, Bungie broadly knew what they wanted with Destiny but did not implement it correctly.
Destiny 1 is not compatible with real life
Destiny 1 was supposed to:
be a game that players return to each week
and be a game that is compatible with real life.
According to Smith, Bungie failed with the second goal with Destiny 1.
Destiny 1 became a game that turned into a commitment. If you gave someone Destiny, they received an engagement ring, not a CD. You were giving them a relationship, something that required work.
If players wanted to reach the highest level, they had to invest a lot of time in the game.
With Destiny 2, Bungie is building something that should still keep players coming back every week, but a game that should be compatible with real life.
“If players only had two hours in Destiny 1, then you had to go on Reddit. If you only have two hours in Destiny 2, then you can press a button on the controller and the game will tell you exactly where to go.”
It sounds like the leveling progress is modeled after late Destiny
My MMO thinks: Smith’s statement aligns with the goal of increasing the accessibility of Destiny 2 further. This causes some hardcore players to fear that Destiny 2 will become “too casual,” too trivial. The fear: It goes too fast, there’s too little to do.
In any case, it looks like the progress system is more modeled after “late Destiny,” where everyone relatively easily reached the highest light level, and less like early Destiny, where a lot of luck was needed to reach the maximum level. Currently, there are no indications of the progress system in Destiny 2.

If you want the best loot in WoW, you should do something this week. Because high-level items are waiting!
There was confusion among players of World of Warcraft. The “Mythic+” dungeons were supposed to drop new and better loot with the opening of the Tomb of Sargeras – but that didn’t happen. The rewards from “Mythic+” dungeons still only scale up to level 10. Those who complete a harder variant will not see their rewards increase further.
Only with the start of the next week will the maximum rewards be raised. Then the item level in “Mythic+” dungeons will increase and scale up to a difficulty of “+15”.

But even this week, you can already benefit from a higher difficulty level! If you finish a dungeon with “+15”, you can immediately grab a more powerful item from the reward chest in the class hall at the beginning of next week. Because this will follow the “new” rules that are valid from the release of the Mythic Tomb of Sargeras on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
Guild Wars 2, the online role-playing game by Arenanet and NCSoft, has been blessed with a major PvP update. Now there are cool 2vs2 deathmatch battles and automated tournaments where you can score particularly good loot.
June 2017 is all about PvP for Guild Wars 2. After the world versus world battles were significantly improved and excited masses of players at the beginning of the month, the structured PvP battles in the Heart of the Mists were next in line on June 20.
With the update, automated tournaments, an improved lobby, and a new 2vs2 map await you.
Guild Wars 2: PvP Update – Automated Tournaments for Everyone
For the new PvP updates in Guild Wars 2, we not only studied the usual press releases, but also managed to secure an interview with the two developers Benjamin Phongluangtham (PvP Game Designer) and Grant Gertz (Producer PvP and WvW). According to them, the automated tournaments are the new highlights of structured PvP in Guild Wars 2.
Three such tournaments take place every day, and 15 minutes before the tournament starts, you can register with your 5-player team. After that, the knockout process continues until one has won. Winners receive not only gold but also qualification tokens for the big monthly tournament. There, big prizes like mystical coins, mini llamas, or even the new “Glorious Hero Armor Set” await. The armor can only be obtained by positions 1 to 4 at the end of the monthly tournament.
Guild Wars 2: Statues and VIP Troll Lounge for the Pros!
The winners of the tournament will even be set up as statues in front of the entrance to the PvP lobby. There they will wait for the challengers of the next month. In addition, the top 25 players are allowed to enter the new VIP area in the lobby. There, they have access to crafting, the Mystic Forge, the bank slot, and the trading post.
Especially cool: The lounge is located directly above the arena where you can duel in the lobby. Using three consoles, you can play all sorts of trollish tricks on the fighters from the lounge:
Summon a beast from the Niflhel forest
Create a lava field in the arena
Knock all players back with a knockback wave
However, to ensure that the trolling does not get out of hand, the consoles each have cooldowns.
Guild Wars 2: New Lobby and 2vs2 Deathmatch Map
The normal lobby in PvP mode has also been redesigned. You still have access to all the services that existed before, but additionally there are shattered islands, mysterious ruins, and hidden surprises.
Also new: The patch brings a 2vs2 map into the game, where wild deathmatches are held on a small scale. With this, ArenaNet aims to cater especially to players who enjoy organizing the popular private 2vs2 tournaments.
