Finding new guild mates for WoW through the dating platform Tinder? It can work!
Those who want to maintain an active guild in World of Warcraft have a hard time these days. With the quick option of server transfers and the seemingly endless number of new games, guild members are often tempted to just try something else, and then you end up with inactive members in the guild roster.
But how do you find active members who are not just looking for a “short adventure”? The player Adam, better known as Arianord from the guild Aphelion, came up with something special to recruit new members. He simply created a profile for his guild on the dating platform Tinder. Anyone who stumbles upon his profile will be confronted with the following description (translated from English):
“Are you a powerful, wandering hero who loves to thwart the world destruction plans of mighty demons? Do you enjoy long walks on the Broken Shore, peaceful nights in Suramar, and spending weekends knee-deep in the corpses of your defeated enemies?
Then might be the right guild for you!”
“Swipe right for invite”
Anyone who “swipes right” will receive more information and may soon be the newest member of a guild.
Adam had a bit of hesitation at first about showing this marketing method to his girlfriend – after all, who wants to admit to their girlfriend that they created a Tinder profile? In the end, he told her, and since then they have been sorting through suitable candidates for exciting raid nights and “joint walks by the harbor of Suramar” together.
However, anyone hoping to catch this profile will have to travel far: the profile primarily appears in San Francisco.
How do you promote your guild? Have you ever had a funny idea to recruit new members? Or do you do it the classic way through a post in the forum?
In Destiny, Bungie finally reveals when the PlayStation-exclusive content will be coming to Xbox.
Since autumn 2015, Xbox Guardians have been waiting for the time-exclusive PS4 content. That’s a long time. Almost two years.
Many expected that this content would be available for all Destiny players in autumn 2016, as it was marked “time-exclusive until at least autumn 2016.” However, in summer 2016, the surprise came: No, the content remains exclusive – and new content will be added!
Now Bungie finally talks about this PlayStation-exclusive content. It will come to Xbox in autumn 2017.
Only available for PlayStation players in Destiny, the Jade Rabbit.
Over two years of time exclusivity
All content that has been available only on PlayStation since autumn 2015 will be available on Xbox in October 2017.
The exclusive content from “The Taken King” will also be available on Xbox One and Xbox 360
and the exclusive content from “The Rise of Iron” on Xbox One (not on Xbox 360)
Bungie will announce a specific date shortly before the content arrives on Xbox. But one thing is certain: For all Xbox players who will continue their Guardian journey in Destiny 2 at the beginning of September, this content in Destiny 1 will be too late.
The Echo Chamber Strike is still PS-exclusive
Which content is currently only playable on PlayStation?
Already in Year 1 of Destiny, there were PlayStation-exclusive contents, such as the exotic hand cannon “Hawkmoon.” These appeared on Xbox in autumn 2015. All other exclusive contents are due in October 2017:
The Taken King introduced exclusive armor pieces, the Strike “Echo Chamber,” the Crucible map “Sector 618,” and the scout rifle The Jade Rabbit as exclusive content.
With the April Update in April 2016, the sniper rifle Zen Meteor, the Velumbra Sparrow, armor pieces, and an exclusive quest were added.
With The Rise of Iron, there was an exclusive quest, a PvP map (Icarus), and the ship “Timeless Tereshkova.”
The goals of Beyond Good and Evil 2 are high. An initial glimpse into the game world shows the bombastic goals that are being pursued.
For many role players, it was the announcement of the year at E3. Beyond Good and Evil is making a comeback and getting a second part. Aside from a cinematic trailer, the developers had nothing in their luggage – or so it was thought!
The Creative Director Michel Ancel has now released a video in which he shows the first scenes from the game. However, this is more of a demonstration of the game engine, and the images shown should be viewed with caution. Ancel primarily shows the sizes in which the game will operate. For example, a mother ship is about 400 meters long, while a smaller ship reaches about 20 meters. However, both fade in comparison to the great elephant deity, which towers nearly 700 meters above the city.
The player’s character’s smallness in comparison makes it roughly clear how tiny the player must feel in the world of Beyond Good and Evil.

It is impressive to see how large an actual planet is and how small your character is in comparison. The various influences that harmonize – such as the day-night cycle or the meteorite impacts – also powerfully demonstrate what technology in video games is already capable of today.
As good as the shown gameplay material looks, it leaves some doubts. Can this even be represented properly on computers or even the current generation of consoles? Or will the game fail by its own standards?
What do you think about the scenes shown? Do they make you skeptical? Or do you trust the developers to implement this as well?
New screenshots from the upcoming online shooter Star Wars: Battlefront 2 showcase some of the classes and their abilities, as well as some weapons.
Some of the classes you will be able to play in the upcoming shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2 are already known. The new screenshots from GameSpot now reveal what some of them can do.
Look forward to these classes
The Officer of the Trade Federation
The robot uses a deployable blaster turret and the command “Fortitude,” which grants a buff to nearby allies. Additionally, he can lay a remotely detonable explosive with “Detonite Charge.” The “Officer’s Presence” allows nearby allies to heal faster.
The Officer of the Republic
The Officer of the Republic uses the same abilities as the Officer of the Trade Federation, except for “Detonite Charge.” Instead, he employs a grenade launcher with “Barrage.”
The Specialist of the Trade Federation
“Trip Mine” causes enemy soldiers to step on a detonating mine. “Infiltration: Replenish” shows all opponents on the scanner and prevents overheating with a medium-range weapon. With Stealth, you are safe from enemy scanners, and with “Detonite Charge,” you detonate an explosive remotely.
The Specialist of the Republic
The Specialist of the Republic has almost the same abilities as the Specialist of the Trade Federation. However, instead of “Detonite Charge,” he uses a fast, small weapon with “Scout Pistol.”
The Heavy of the Trade Federation and the Republic
With the skill “Combat Shield,” he activates a shield in front of him. “Sentry” restricts movement, but it allows you to use a heavy blaster that inflicts a lot of damage. “Barrage” is a grenade launcher, and “Defender” awards you points for every hit. Both the Heavy of the Trade Federation and the Heavy of the Republic use the same abilities.
The Assault of the Trade Federation and the Republic
The Assault of the Trade Federation and the Republic can both use the same abilities. These include “Thermal Detonator,” a grenade that inflicts a lot of damage, and “Vanguard: Replenish,” which lets the Assault run faster while marking opponents. Using “Barrage,” a grenade launcher is deployed, and with “Assault Training,” you regain some health for every defeated enemy.
These are the weapons you will use
In addition, the weapons A280-CFE (sniper rifle), the Heavy Blaster FWMB-10K, the DC-17 pistol, the DC-15A blaster rifle, the heavy blaster DC-15, the CR-2 compact blaster, the BLURRG-1120 pistol, and the VALKEN-38X rifle have been confirmed.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be released on November 17 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
The whole republic is groaning under the heat wave, but seasoned gamers only give up when the last processor core has melted away. So this weekend, a variety of games are on the agenda.
The weekend is approaching and promises sunshine. Unfortunately, the sun is just too intense right now. So, those who don’t want to risk heatstroke or sunburn prefer to stay indoors, set the fan on, lower the blinds, and start up the hopefully well-cooled PC or console to play a few rounds. But what is worth playing right now?
Games for the weekend – Off to Eorzea in Final Fantasy XIV!
Fans of complex online role-playing games received the heavyweight expansion Stormblood for the successful MMO Final Fantasy XIV this week. In it, you will discover a beautiful region in the east that you are supposed to liberate from the empire and its cruel rulers.
Games for the weekend – Colorful action buffet or virtual creatures?
If you prefer short-term action, you can check out the recently released coop top-down MOBA game Master X Master from NCSoft. The game offers something for everyone’s taste. You can play it as a single or coop top-down shooter in PvE. Or you can battle each other in 3vs3 deathmatch or 5vs5 MOBA mode. Alternatively, there are also fun mini-games. You have 37 heroes to choose from, with some coming from other NCSoft games.
Those who dare to step outside despite the sweltering heat can try out the new features of Pokémon GO. For example, the reworked arenas or the new raids that were recently added to the augmented reality app. Also interesting for mobile fans: The beta for the glossy MMO ArcheAge Begins is currently freely accessible on Android devices.
What is the editorial team playing?
We from the Mein-MMO editorial team will not be put down by the worst heat and have a whole series of cool games that we are looking forward to after work:
Schuhmann is looking forward to extended excursions in Stormblood and will otherwise play his beloved Marvel Future Fight on the iPad.
Ttime returns to his roots. This, of course, means he will be playing Destiny and FIFA over the weekend.
Patrick will face the heat wave and try out the new arena features in Pokémon GO. But before he melts away, he will go back into the cool home and play GTA Online to collect money for the leaked cars.
Cortyn has to help with a move and will therefore only play “Moving Simulator 2017” at most.
Leya is currently on the road and will not have much time to play.
I, Jürgen, will mainly be playing Master X Master this weekend and might finally play PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds more often. And there’s still so much to do in ESO!
But enough about us! We want to know what you will be playing this weekend! Let us know in the comments!

In For Honor, a new feature is coming: Duel tournaments with a ranking system. Starting next week, these can be tested.
Even in the “Year One” plan for For Honor, Ubisoft announced tournaments and ranked matches. Now there are finally concrete details about it.
Duel tournaments are coming. Before these are integrated into the live game, they should first be thoroughly tested by the community to fix any potential errors in advance.
The public test servers for the duel tournaments will start on June 29. All PC players can participate. This testing phase ends on July 4.
Ubisoft points out that during this phase, only the duel tournaments will be tested – which likely means that there will be other tournament modes.
Note: A few weeks ago, there was information that after the public test servers, a beta for the tournaments is supposed to take place. In it, players will likely be able to try out the new feature on all platforms.
What are duel tournaments?
Ubisoft introduces the duel tournaments briefly. It is a new feature that is supposed to make the next step in terms of competitive gameplay. It should change the way you play For Honor.
A ranking system serves this purpose: everyone starts at zero, and only the best pave their way to the top, where they will be crowned champions.
When you start a tournament, the journey begins with a qualification. In a pool of players, you must first prove yourself worthy to reach the playoff phase. Only one player ultimately takes the victory, but all players receive rewards based on their performance. The further you advance, the better the loot – with the best stuff being exclusive to the champion.
How does the ranking system work?
You play 20 qualifying matches. Depending on your performance, you receive a rank: From Bronze (lowest rank) to Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond (highest rank).
Further divisions ensure a more balanced gaming experience: each rank is divided into five divisions.
You rank up by playing tournament matches. This is how you move up – or down.
Information about the tournaments
A complete tournament lasts between 30 to 90 minutes. The time depends on the number of players, which ranges from 4 to 32.
Anyone who leaves a tournament early (rage quitter) will face penalties. They will not be able to initiate matchmaking for an hour and will be downgraded in their rank.
All progress and rewards you achieve in the public test will be lost after the test phase. Additionally, Ubisoft warns that bugs and glitches may occur during the tests.
The MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV (PC, PS4) wants to be on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. But there is one condition: Cross-Play. The community should stay together.
In an interview with the US site Kotaku, the head of the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida, reaffirmed his desire to bring the MMORPG to additional platforms, such as Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Conversations with Mr. Phil Spencer and the upper management of Nintendo
According to Yoshida, they have had conversations with Mr. Phil Spencer from Microsoft and with the “upper management” of Nintendo. In every conversation, Yoshida stated: His condition for a port is that Final Fantasy XIV can be played together across all platforms. He wants “Cross-Platform Play” for Final Fantasy XIV.
Furthermore, it must be clear that the community on the individual platforms is also supported, even if it becomes smaller over time.
Yoshida wants to ensure that the way Final Fantasy XIV is developed works long-term on new platforms. He wants to make sure that partners do not alter anything over time that becomes a hurdle. The game should be able to be continuously patched and developed as Square Enix envisions.
Yoshida promises: We are persistent
Yoshida does not yet know if it will succeed in bringing Final Fantasy XIV to Xbox One or Nintendo Switch. However, he will be persistent in trying.
They want to keep pursuing these discussions continuously. If there is an agreement, a handshake between partners, the community will be informed. If no handshake occurs and an agreement is reached that nothing will happen, players will also be informed.
This could be a signal for the whole gaming world regarding what happens with Final Fantasy XIV
Mein-MMO says: Cross-Play means that all players, regardless of the platform, can play together or against each other across platforms. For players, this is only good – but platform owners seem hesitant to participate. Especially an industry leader who already has the most players on its platform benefits from a “closed system”:
Those who want to play with their friends must use the same system as they do. With Cross-Play, that wouldn’t matter, and one could play together despite different platforms.
As has been heard recently, it is therefore not Microsoft or Nintendo that are the problem regarding Cross-Play, but rather Sony, i.e., the PlayStation versions. If Naoki Yoshida succeeds with his persistence in reaching an agreement here, it could be a breakthrough for the whole gaming world, and other games might follow suit.
So everyone should keep their fingers crossed for the persistent game director of Final Fantasy XIV. However, it is not really likely that it will succeed. Thus, a port of Final Fantasy XIV to Xbox One has been a topic for years, but it is not progressing.

More about the issues surrounding Cross-Play and Sony’s position:
Pokémon GO was the hit in summer 2016. But what about 2017? Does the augmented reality game still lure you outside or is the excitement over for you? Mein-MMO wants to know!
The “Pokésummer of 2016” was a phenomenon. Wherever you looked, there were whole hordes of people from all walks of life and age groups out and about, trying to catch little virtual monsters with their smartphones. Whether bank managers, students, or retirees, they all chased the little creatures in remote corners or stood in large groups around popular PokéStops or gyms.

The most curious scenes from the Pokémon year 2016
We all still remember curious scenes from the year 2016. For instance, an expectant father who had to catch a Pidgey in the delivery room. Or a bridge in Düsseldorf that was closed due to the many Pokémon players, so they could play in peace. Or a mass surge in Central Park in New York after a rare Vaporeon appeared there.
Pokésummer 2016 – They were everywhere! But where are they now?
For me, the summer of 2016 was an absolute exception. I usually prefer to stay at home rather than take long walks. When I go out, I mostly head to pubs, festivals, or beer gardens. However, in 2016, I gladly went the long way around and took a big walk around the block every evening to search for more Pokémon.
And everywhere I met like-minded people, with whom I immediately struck up conversations. Most were people I would never have approached otherwise, and they probably wouldn’t have approached me either. Pokémon brought us all together.
But what about now? After a year, Pokémon GO is better than ever and has been equipped with new features such as the improved gyms and raids. But is the hype still there? Does Pokémon GO lure you outside again in 2017? Or was Pokémon GO just a nice fun for you in 2016 that doesn’t resonate in 2017? Let us know in the comments and in our survey below!
In The Division, the NinjaBike Backpack is getting a revamp. It was useless before, but now it will be really interesting.
For over half a year, the “NinjaBike Messenger Bag” has been considered the worst Exotic in The Division. The reason: Unlike other Exotics that provide strong damage boosts, its talent is very specific – and really bad:
If you die in the Dark Zone, you lose less loot (1 public item less) and 20% less Dark Zone XP.
With the update 1.6, this talent got even worse: the patch introduced the change that you no longer lose Dark Zone experience and currency when you are killed in the DZ and are not rogue. In other words, the effect of losing 20% less DZ XP becomes completely pointless.
However, Massive already recommended back then: Do not dismantle your NinjaBike Backpacks! This Exotic will be reworked and the rework is supposed to be retroactive.
We now know what Massive intends to do with the backpack.
This is how the NinjaBike Backpack will be reworked
In the last “State of the Game” livestream, the developers briefly mentioned NinjaBike. This Exotic is going to become a kind of “wildcard” for gear set pieces.
This means that NinjaBike will gain the talent to function as an additional gear set piece for all equipped gear sets.
Two examples:
If you have two pieces from the FireCrest set, three pieces from the Tactician set, and the NinjaBike backpack equipped, you will receive the 3-piece bonus from the FireCrest set and the 4-piece bonus or talent from the Tactician set.
Or: if you have armor pieces from 5 different sets equipped and now add the NinjaBike backpack, you will receive the 2-piece bonus from each of these five sets.
Thus, extremely many combinations are conceivable that were not possible before. NinjaBike is supposed to ensure an extreme build variety, that is the goal.
Isn’t that totally overpowered?
In the reddit forum, the first worries are already spreading: Will the NinjaBike Backpack not be completely overpowered?
The developers have stated that they will thoroughly test this Exotic and examine it closely before releasing it. “Overpowered” combinations should not be possible.
How the NinjaBike backpack will ultimately fit into the meta remains to be seen. Because the gear sets will be completely revised with update 1.7 – bugs will be fixed, balance adjustments will be made, and classified gear sets will be introduced.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds reaches a new sales milestone. In just three months since release, the battle royale shooter has already sold over 4 million copies. And that, even though the game is not finished yet.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a phenomenon. The battle royale shooter by modding legend Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene was released in early access on Steam just three months ago and sold like hotcakes during a heatwave.
But the battle royale carnage is still fun, the team at Bluehole Studios regularly releases updates and patches, and despite lags and bugs, the battles are just a blast. Players also create excitement with fun antics like pacifist game winners, running riot in the bunker, or sneaky car campers.
Moreover, the game with its long exploration and camping phases is ideal for all streamers, who can share all sorts of anecdotes with their viewers during these breaks.
What do you think about the great success of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds? Have you played it yet? And do you think the hype around the game is justified? Or is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds just a completely overrated, unfinished early access game that is not worth its money? Let us know your opinion and write it in the comments!
According to a press release, raids are supposed to come to Pokémon GO “in early July 2017”. We assume that by then, trainers with lower levels will be able to participate in these activities.
Have you already tested the new gyms? How do you like the new system?
According to a press release, raids are supposed to come to Pokémon GO “in early July 2017”. We assume that by then, trainers with lower levels will be able to participate in these activities.
Have you already tested the new gyms? How do you like the new system?
This is how the new gyms work in Pokémon GO: Monsters earn gold coins over time, raids have a minimum level.
A few hours ago, the new gyms opened in Pokémon GO. During this initial phase, trainers diligently tried out the new features and gathered a lot of information about the functions of the gyms.
In this article, we want to present you with the first information we have about the new gym update. This includes the gold-per-hour value and the “current” minimum level of the raids.
We will regularly update this article as soon as there is new information from Niantic. Last update: 26.06 – 19:25
Pokémon GO: Gold Coins – How many you get per hour
The defender bonus in Pokémon GO rewards you with gold coins when you defend one or more gyms. In the new gyms, the system works a bit differently than in the past. Back then, you were rewarded for each Pokémon you had in a gym per day; today, time plays an important role.
New: The longer a Pokémon stays in a gym, the more coins it brings home. The defender bonus specifically depends on the time spent in the gym. Current results show that a Pokémon earns one coin per 10 minutes in a gym. So if a Pokémon returns from a gym after an hour, it brings you six coins. If a Pokémon lasts 5 hours in a gym, it brings you 30 PokéCoins.
You no longer need to visit the shop and click the defender button to collect PokéCoins. When one of your Pokémon returns from the gym, it automatically brings back the coins. The limit of maximum coins per day is now 50 coins.
By the way, the current limit is 20 gyms that you can occupy simultaneously. In the 21st, a “bug” appears in the game. Whether this limit will be increased in the future is unclear.
Summary:
Pokémon earn one coin every 10 minutes as gym defenders
The limit is 50 coins per day per account (not per Pokémon)
You can currently station Pokémon in a maximum of 20 gyms
Update 26.06. – 19:25: From now on, trainers can participate in raids who have reached at least level 20.
Update 24.06. – 10:00: Now players from level 25 are already able to participate in raids.
Update 23.06. – 22:35: From now on, raids are available for players who have reached at least level 28. Have fun testing!
Update 23.06. – 18:35: Niantic just explained on Twitter that raids are now available for players who are at least level 31. This means the developers have already reduced the requirement for raids by four levels after just a few hours.
Original message:
Shortly after the opening of the gyms on June 22, the developers announced that you must be at least level 35 to participate in raids. These high-ranking players can now try out the new raid feature, which brings cooperative elements to Pokémon GO. What raids are and how they work, we explain to you here.
Niantic has not yet released more detailed information about whether players below level 35 will also be able to participate in raids in the future. However, it is very likely that soon trainers with lower levels will be able to participate in raid battles. On Twitter, Pokémon GO states that in the coming days, even more players will be invited to raids all over the world.

Hearthstone is changing the mechanics of card packs. Duplicate Legendaries will soon be a thing of the past.
Who doesn’t know this? You hover over a card from a fresh Hearthstone pack and see the orange glow – a Legendary! The excitement builds, and as the card slowly turns over, it’s… just the third copy of Nat Pagle. All the joy turns into frustration because you’ve only gotten a medium amount of Arcane Dust.
But that will change in the future! As Ben Brode, the Game Director of Hearthstone, announced in a video on YouTube, Blizzard has plans for changes to Hearthstone’s card packs. Brode believes it is especially important that opening card packs remains an exciting and interesting mechanic.

According to this, with the release of the next expansion, it will no longer be possible to obtain duplicate legendary cards. So if you already own an “Archmage Antonidas”, you will definitely not receive a second one from any future packs. Instead, you will be guaranteed to receive a legendary card that is not yet in your collection!
Another change ensures that no card can appear more than twice in a single pack. In the past, there have always been frustrated players who received the same card three or even four times within the same pack. In the future, each pack can contain as many cards of the same type as can be played in a deck – so two.
Guaranteed Legendaries at the Start of an Expansion
Finally, it is guaranteed that within the first 10 card packs of the new expansion, a legendary card will be included! This is to ensure that all players have a good start to the new expansion and already own a legendary card around which they can build a deck.
What do you think of these planned changes? Does it sound good and should it bring more fun back to the world of Hearthstone? Or do you smell a catch?
Destiny 1 is coming to an end. The last dates are known. The Iron Banner and the Trials will soon be no longer available in Destiny 1.
Destiny 2 is approaching rapidly, and Bungie is now preparing the Guardians to experience their “last moments” in Destiny 1. Destiny 1 will still be playable after the launch of Destiny 2, but not in its full scope.
Both PvP events, the Iron Banner and the Trials, will come to an end in August. Although the Trials will return in Destiny 2 and, most likely, the Iron Banner as well, in Destiny 1, these modes will be discontinued in August.
The last Iron Banner in Destiny 1 starts on August 1. It is the oldest PvP event, playable since the beta. The era ends on 8.8.2017.
The last Trials of Osiris starts on August 11. If you still want to get to the Lighthouse, you have until August 15.
The last dates for the Age of Triumph’s Grimoire
If you want to grab the T-shirt available through the “Age of Triumph” Grimoire and reach rank 7, you only have until August 1 to do so. After that, you will no longer have a chance.
For some activities that you need for certain milestones, you must pay attention to these dates. These are the last dates before August 1:
July 4, 2017: Iron Banner
July 4, 2017: Weekly recommended raid: Kingsfall
July 11, 2017: Weekly recommended raid: Wrath of the Machine
July 18, 2017: Weekly recommended raid: Crota’s End
July 18, 2017: Dawning month begins (from then on, every Nightfall strike is a “Daybreak strike“)
July 25, 2017: Weekly recommended raid: Vault of Glass
Every weekend: Trials of Osiris
August 1, 2017: “Age of Triumph” T-shirt offer expires
Additional Notes:
All weekly activities that you see displayed in the navigator on the bottom left will continue to be available.
Overwatch changes the loot box rules. In the future, players will receive significantly fewer duplicates!
One of the biggest criticisms of Overwatch’s loot system is that as player levels rise, the number of duplicates in loot boxes becomes increasingly common. Beyond level 200, it is often the case that all 4 items in a loot box are duplicates, and players are only given a few credits in return. This leads to frustration and boredom, as the excitement of opening a loot box is lost.
Blizzard has recognized this and plans to fundamentally overhaul the system with the next patch 1.13 (PC) and 2.15 (PS4, Xbox One).
In a new “Developer’s Update” video, Jeff Kaplan talked about the new plans. According to him, the loot boxes will be redesigned so that duplicates will appear much less frequently. Each loot box should then bring actual progress and new items.

Fewer duplicates and more credits with Overwatch patch 1.13
However, you cannot completely get rid of duplicates. They will still occur, as the unlockable content in the form of cosmetic items is limited, leading to inevitable duplicates sooner or later.
Kaplan also addresses another concern of players. If duplicates become rarer, what happens to the credit gains of players? Will it take longer to obtain a specifically desired skin because players receive fewer credits? Here, Kaplan reassures that the system will be adjusted so that despite fewer duplicates, the earning of credits will roughly remain the same – and hopefully even increase slightly.
In summary, the new system is supposed to feel “fantastic” and each loot box is to represent a reward – just as it was originally intended.
What do you think of the promises made by the Game Director? Does all of this sound good, or do you not trust the situation?
You can secure rewards in Destiny 1 that will be transferred to Destiny 2. However, there isn’t much time left.
Bungie reveals how the veteran Guardians among you will be honored. If you have been with Destiny since the beginning and/or experienced significant moments, you can display this in Destiny 2 with pride.
There are 7 emblems that you could earn in Destiny 1 and some that you can still earn now. These will then be transferred to your character in Destiny 2.
However, Bungie emphasizes that this is only a preview of the veteran rewards. They do not want to spoil everything just yet.
Important: You only have until August 1 to secure the badges. After that, you will no longer be able to earn them.
Badges / Emblems for all Guardians who achieved much in Destiny 1
Here you can see the character screen in Destiny 2 – with all values and statistics serving only for illustration:
At the top of the screen, you will see a line whose design depends on your badge. The badges influence not only your “nameplate” in Destiny 2 but also the design of the menu. The badges are still visible in orbit when you form fireteams.
If you have achieved the following seven accomplishments in Destiny 1, seven emblems will be transferred to Destiny 2:
You achieved a triumph moment in Year 1 of Destiny.
You completed all 10 triumph moments in Year 1.
You played The Taken King and achieved a triumph moment in Year 2.
You played The Taken King and completed all 8 triumph moments in Year 2.
You played The Iron Lords and achieved Rank 2 in the “Age of Triumph” book.
You played The Iron Lords and achieved Rank 7 in the “Age of Triumph” book.
You have a Grimoire score of over 5000.
Here you can see the badges overview:
One more reminder: You can still complete the three lower emblems now. You have until August 1 to do so. After that, the migration process to Destiny 2 will begin.
The Arena rework of Pokémon GO is now live and lets you try out new features like motivation and unique defenders.
Almost on time at 10:00 PM German time, the Pokémon GO arenas reopened on June 22, 2017. They had previously been disabled for the rework, and trainers found the message “Arenas under construction.” in the game.
Now the update is available for every trainer, and the developers are opening up the revised arenas for testing. Look forward to Pokémon motivation, unique defenders, and more new features in the arenas.
Pokémon GO – Arenas active
At a typical time, developer Niantic opened the battlefields of Pokémon GO for the trainers. Many events in Pokémon GO start around 10:00 PM our time, and the arena opening aligned with this time and even opened 15 minutes earlier. A few days ago, the Pokémon GO team announced major changes in the biggest update of Pokémon GO.
This update is supposed to significantly change the arenas in Pokémon GO, as the combat system was not well received by players and developers. Boring gameplay and few features were the main criticisms. Due to the rework, many things have now changed.
Raid battles (Raids):– This feature will be activated later in the game – Fight together with a group of up to 20 players against a powerful raid boss. Before a raid starts, you will be notified in the game that a raid is about to take place. Above the affected arena, you will find an egg with a countdown. Travel to the corresponding arena and defeat the boss to receive rewards.
Arena badges: If you interact with an arena, you will receive a badge from this battle site. It comes in bronze, silver, and gold – depending on how active you are in this arena.
Arena items: You can now spin the photo disc of an arena to receive items like you would at a PokéStop.
Unique defenders: Each arena now only accommodates one Pokémon of a specific species – no more arenas filled with Snorlax.
This is how you earn coins: Your Pokémon will bring you coins from an arena when they come home. The longer a Pokémon has been in an arena, the more coins it can bring home. The daily limit is 50 coins. In our Pokémon GO Coins Guide, we show you how to collect coins.
Next week is the release of the Necromancer in Diablo 3: Will he already be particularly strong at the start? There were many improvements to be made during the beta.
Blizzard’s hack and slash “Diablo III” will be expanded with a new class next week. The Rise of the Necromancer expansion will be available for purchase starting June 27. Will Blizzard follow the usual “procedure” and initially bring the new class in a overpowered state to lure in players?
A “flavor of the month” class, hitting the “taste of the month”, has often proven to be stronger than existing classes in other games.
Will the Necromancer come to the game as “op”?
New classes or characters in video games are often made “somewhat stronger” at release. This attracts players to test the class and to experience the “strong gameplay”. You can see this in games like League of Legends, where a large part of the new characters is first released as overpowered. In a later patch, the character is then hit with the nerf hammer and receives the necessary balance to fit in with the other classes.
The latest example was the “Warden” in The Elder Scrolls Online. Many of the regular players of ESO already considered the new class too strong in advance.
For developers, this method is a good way to make a new class or character popular in the community (at least temporarily). Do you think Blizzard will use this method for the Necro and will bring him into the game stronger at first?
On the test servers, you could already see some “interesting” builds of the Necromancer in Diablo 3. However, he only appeared “overpowered” there due to an exploit.
Necro on the PTR – Plenty of Room for Improvement
Many players in the community were surprised by the “early” release of the Necromancer, as the Necromancer did not seem “ready for launch” to them. While the new class was already visually convincing for many players, the “gameplay” left much to be desired, especially when sets were not played with high Paragon levels. Players wished Blizzard had addressed these issues before release.
Players often point out in feedback forums that the damage reduction mechanics for the Necro feel “unreliable”. To become immune to CCs, one has to wait for long cooldowns.
Complete damage immunity exists for a few seconds after a cooldown of about half a minute. For hardcore players with connection issues, this is likely a “nope” judgment for the Necromancer.
Those who play unfairly will be invulnerable: Besides this critique of too weak damage reducers, there was also the complete opposite during the testing phase. Players exploited to make themselves invulnerable using skills.
This method is definitely “OP” and will hopefully not be found on the live servers. Because reaching the high levels of Greater Nephalem Rifts while being invulnerable is not particularly impressive.
Our Assessment: Unintentionally “op”
We believe that the Necro will still have some issues at launch and may have one or two exploitable set combinations that ease the game. Such strong set or item combinations often emerge after balance changes, but are then toned down with a hotfix or a later patch. Before the release, Blizzard (hopefully) will address the beta feedback from fans and tweak some aspects of passive skills and items of the Necromancer.
In general, one should not expect a perfectly balanced class at the release of the Necromancer in Diablo III. The Necromancer will likely still have many rough edges and will not play as “smoothly” initially as you might be used to from other classes in Diablo 3.
Once the Necromancer is active on the live servers, developers will have a clearer view of where the issues still lie and where they need to make improvements.
Sets and Builds – Potential is Present
On the official website, Blizzard has already introduced the sets of the Necromancer. There are opportunities for interesting builds through the sets – but the numbers must also add up.
Rathma’s Bones
Grace of Inarius
Vestments of the Plagued
Trag’Oul’s Avatar
Jesseth’s Weapons
Blizzard shows how the sets affect the game in the following video:
