The God MOBA SMITE takes on RPG. Travel together in Loki’s dungeon to free the Greek god Hercules. But beware! Dangerous fire giants and sea monsters will stand in your way.
In the action MOBA SMITE, everything revolves around the mythological beings and gods of this world. For many, it is an exciting universe with fantastic characters.
Now SMITE brings back the RPG aspect: SMITE’s new RPG mode introduces you to a dungeon crawler, where you will face colossal bosses in coop.
In the summer, SMITE offered “The Trials of Hercules” as an RPG mode. The dungeon crawler was well received by players – this concept is now being continued.
The Shadows Over Hercopolis: Take on Loki & Save Hercules
Loki is the most versatile of all gods, who loves to play pranks and pull off shady business. In Hercopolis, Loki has been up to no good. The treasury has been plundered, the blacksmith has been robbed – and the worst part: The statue of King Hercules has disappeared without a trace!
Your task is to save Hercules and return the stolen goods to the residents of Hercopolis. If you manage to find all the pieces of the statue, you will receive a reward.
On your journey, you will team up with other players and traverse familiar locations of norse mythology.
SMITE’s New RPG Adventure Works Like a Dungeon Crawler
The shadows over Hercopolis lead you into Loki’s dungeon. Here, puzzles and colossal monsters await you that you must overcome.
This is how the gameplay works:
Assemble a team and choose one from over 70 gods that SMITE has to offer
Travel through the Norse realms to advance into Loki’s lair
You must defeat the legendary monsters of Norse mythology. For this, you will receive loot that will help you later to defeat Loki and free Hercules.
There will be 3 boss fights in total:
On board a sinking ship, you will fight against a flesh-eating sea monster
In the realm of fire, you will take down the father of all fire giants
Once you have defeated these opponents, you can take on the final boss Loki to free Hercules
The mode will be available from Patch 4.21 to Patch 4.24

Things are getting crazy in Hearthstone. Warlocks are eating entire decks and Mages have permanent card-draw as a weapon!
At BlizzCon 2017, many announcements were made for Blizzard’s card game Hearthstone. The focus was on the new expansion “Kobolds and Catacombs,” which will be released in December 2017. There will be not only 48 new bosses waiting for players but also plenty of new cards. A handful of cards were already revealed at BlizzCon. We are talking about the (so far) craziest cards from Kobolds and Catacombs.
Mages are getting their first real weapon – Aluneth. In WoW, this is the artifact weapon for Mages, in Hearthstone it is even a bit more powerful. For 6 mana it has 0 attack and 3 durability, but it has a powerful passive effect. At the end of each turn, the Mage draws 3 cards from their deck.
In plain terms, this means that a player draws 4 cards per turn. If there is no way to destroy the weapon, then the corresponding Mage will always have a card advantage.
One of the most powerful cards is likely to be Rin, the First Disciple, the new legendary minion for Warlocks. For 6 mana, it has weak stats of 3/6 and Taunt and a Deathrattle effect: Gain The First Seal to your hand. The First Seal is a spell for 5 mana that summons a 2/2 demon and grants you the card The Second Seal, which calls a 3/3 demon for 5 mana. This repeats up to The Fifth Seal.
At the end of this chain is the demon Azari, the Devourer for 10 mana. It has stats of 10/10 and the Battlecry: Destroy your opponent’s deck. From this moment on, the opponent only has the cards in their hand!
Also highly debated is the Carnivorous Cube. For 5 mana you get a solid 4/6 minion. It destroys a friendly minion via Battlecry. As Deathrattle, it summons 2 copies of that destroyed minion!
The combinations are diverse, especially with other Deathrattle cards, exciting synergies can be found. A single Deathrattle effect could therefore trigger 3 times!
What do you think of these 3 cards? Are they too powerful? Or will cards like Rin, the First Disciple never be played anyway, as they require way too much setup?
Anyone who creates skins for the survival MMO Rust can earn money from it. According to the developers of the online game, more than one million dollars have already been paid out.
Rust is an online game that allows players to create their own skins for weapons and items. These then appear in the Steam Workshop. Fans then vote on which skins should make it into the official cosmetic updates.
Players whose skins are offered in the updates receive money for their contributions.
Skin creators have already received more than one million dollars
The development team of Rust recently announced that they have paid skin creators more than one million dollars since the introduction of the system in July 2015. The skin creators express their gratitude and enthusiasm for this system, which is not commonplace in the industry.
While there are development studios like Valve with Team Fortress 2 or Digital Extremes with Warframe that utilize similar systems, most studios refrain from player-created content or at least do not pay any money for it.
Both sides benefit
It is essentially a win-win situation. The development studio gains new skins that the community likes (as evidenced by the votes), and the creators of the skins receive a little pocket money for their work. This ensures that Rust is continuously supplied with new skins, and the community can actively participate in the ongoing development.
Blizzard has commented on the models of Worgen and Goblins in World of Warcraft. The news is likely to sadden some players.
At BlizzCon 2017, a lot of questions were asked about World of Warcraft and the upcoming expansion Battle for Azeroth. In addition to countless pieces of information and details about the gameplay and story of the expansion, there was also the opportunity on the various panels to bombard Blizzard developers with questions.
During the “The Art of World of Warcraft” panel, a fan asked the question that many have been longing to know.
Will Goblins and Worgen finally get new character models with Battle for Azeroth?
All “old” races, including Blood Elves and Draenei, had already received an update with Warlords of Draenor. Pixelated polygon heaps became appealing characters that finally had proper facial animations.
However, this was not the case for Worgen and Goblins. The models were still “too new” and an overhaul was not considered necessary. They planned to “address it later.” Now the days of Legion are numbered, and there is still no update.
No new models for Worgen and Goblins in Patch 8.0
Blizzard has now announced the bad news: There will be no overhaul of Goblins and Worgen with Patch 8.0, which is the launch of Battle for Azeroth.
However, they plan to add this in a later patch. They are already “in the works.”
At least for the female Worgen, Blizzard has already announced a minor improvement. They will be given additional faces that will make them look a bit more like wolves – and a bit less like Chihuahuas.
Do you play Goblins or Worgen and are bothered by this delay? Or do you find the models of these two races perfectly fine as they are?
Star Citizen without all the baggage surrounding the game captivates 1,000,000 viewers. For this, a YouTube channel had to cut out only Chris Roberts.
It is a phenomenon: Under every article about Star Citizen, the controversies take center stage. One reads:
Backers have invested 163 million US dollars to finance the game – Why should the developers even keep working on it? They have the money, are lounging with umbrella drinks in the Caribbean, and are laughing at their fans.
When will Star Citizen finally be released? It will never be finished, is totally overambitious, is constantly postponed, and nothing progresses.
No, everything is fine. These are just the same old haters who complain and are controlled by a jealous troll who has never accomplished anything in his life.
Discussions about delays, internal work processes, loans, visions, and details often threaten to overwhelm Star Citizen under a pile of baggage. It is easy to lose sight of what makes Star Citizen appealing at its core.
The effect Star Citizen has on people when the game is freed from this baggage is shown in a recent video on YouTube and its immense success.
The channel specializes in graphics and superlatives
The channel Titanium Track (55,000 subscribers) has nothing to do with Star Citizen, it is a YouTube channel that uploads impressive videos of games and boasts about graphics. Most of its videos are about “great games that will be released in the future”, the channel actually just edits trailers, placing emphasis on expressive images and presentations.
Many of Titanium Track’s videos hover between 20,000 and 100,000 views. However, there are always outliers, and some clips break the million mark. It seems that the channel’s fans especially enjoy RPG and open world genres.
In the past, Titanium Track’s million-hit successes have been compilations and variations of “These 10 or 20 great games are coming and look bombastic. Check them out.”
All million-hits from “Titanium Tracks.”
The promise of “Next Gen” and “realistic, fantastically absurd graphics” seems to fascinate gaming fans on YouTube. People love superlatives; they are clicked.
1 Million viewers for a neatly edited CitizenCon Keynote
Recently, the video “Star Citizen – New 42 Minutes of Open World Gameplay – Most Realistic Graphics Game Ever” has achieved this. In about 10 days, the clip has accumulated over 1,100,000 views on YouTube. Since the video is now set to private, here is another source that shows the same material:
https://youtu.be/JlDQqIAcYwg
The video is essentially just an edited presentation of the CitizenCon Keynote. It had only 377,000 views on the official Star Citizen channel.
Without Chris Roberts’ opening speech, the Titanium Track video starts right with the city tour and captivates three times as many viewers. Essentially, Titanium Track has merely cut out the first 20 minutes of preamble in which Chris Roberts provides context for the flight through the city.

One can see the fascination of the impressive images from Star Citizen when they are freed from the controversy and context that the title typically carries.
There is no doubt who will win the second faction rally in Destiny 2. And there are reasons for that.
On November 7th, the next faction rally in Destiny 2 begins. The faction leaders from the Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and the New Monarchy gather again in the Tower to draw Guardians to their side.
For the faction you choose, you can collect tokens to earn as many reward packages as possible. You can only belong to one faction per character. The faction that delivers the most reward packages after one week wins the group competition.
The special thing about it is: The winning faction – and only the winning faction – sells a special weapon, which can be bought for 1000 Glimmer (for faction members) or 50,000 Glimmer (for all other Guardians).
These are the winning weapons:
New Monarchy – Sword:
Dead Orbit – Grenade Launcher:
Future War Cult – Fusion Rifle: For example, if the New Monarchy wins, the sword will be available for purchase for one week. The other two weapons will remain under wraps. And it is very likely that this will happen!
The New Monarchy will probably win
The faction whose Guardians collect the most faction reward packages wins. This means the faction with the most members will take the victory. And this time that is probably the New Monarchy.
50% of all participants will pledge allegiance to the New Monarchy
24% will go to Dead Orbit
16% will join Future War Cult
and 10% were still undecided.
This survey paints a clear picture: The New Monarchy will win the second faction rally.
During the first faction rally, we conducted a survey online. The Dead Orbit won with an impressive 49% – and unsurprisingly, the Dead Orbit emerged as the winner. This faction is already popular simply due to its cool black shaders – it was the same in Destiny 1.
So why are so many Guardians joining the New Monarchy this time?
The reason lies with the winning weapons: The New Monarchy’s sword looks stylish, and swords are quite popular. Grenade launchers, on the other hand, are considered a terrible weapon category.
Some Guardians suspect that Bungie is deliberately trying to prevent Dead Orbit from winning again with this selection of winning weapons. Because you can’t attract any Guardian to the altar with a grenade launcher right now.
On reddit, user posts with thousands of upvotes urging players not to let Dead Orbit win this time appeared. They would prefer a sword or a fusion rifle rather than a grenade launcher. Our survey underscores this sentiment.
The first faction rally started on Tuesdays with the weekly reset. The second rally will likely start tomorrow, November 7th, at 10 AM.
Actually, Overwatch was supposed to be a completely different game, as Blizzard’s Jeff Kaplan revealed at Blizzcon.
The team wanted to develop a multi-class MMO called Crossworlds. 50 classes were planned. The game’s scenario was supposed to place you at the “crossroads of the universe”.
After Blizzard had stopped working on the MMORPG Titan, Jeff Kaplan and his team were tasked with coming up with a new concept for an online game within six weeks. One of the concepts was an MMO called Crossworlds.
An MMO with 50 Classes
In Crossworlds, players were supposed to be in an outpost deep in space. This was referred to as the “crossroads of the universe” because all aliens were supposed to come together here. Originally, around six to nine classes were planned, but designer Geoff Goodman suggested that this number could indeed be increased to 50. Each class was supposed to be highly focused and possess its own set of abilities, which would have made each class very different from the others.
Jeff Kaplan initially thought it was impossible to create an MMO with 50 classes, but then he liked the idea. He created a presentation with artwork from Titan. A few classes were depicted, including a Reaper, a Guardian, and a Jumper. This should sound familiar to some. No wonder, as the concept was later transformed into Overwatch and some of the ideas were retained.
Blizzard Had More Ideas
However, Crossworlds was not the only idea for a new game that Blizzard wanted to develop after Titan. There were also thoughts about a spinoff to Starcraft focusing on the heroes of this universe. An artwork of this game shows a hero that bears a strong resemblance to McCree from Overwatch.
In the end, Blizzard decided to develop neither Crossworlds nor the Starcraft spinoff, but rather to focus on Overwatch. Given the success of the game, that was a pretty good decision.

In the FIFA 18 Ultimate Team mode, players have the option to open packs. Fans hope to pull highly sought-after players. But: Is it worth it at all?
Before you open a set, you should always ask yourself: Do I really want to do this? Opening packs can bring advantages, but also many disadvantages. In this article, we try to clarify how you can make the right decision.
Should I open packs or better not?
If you purchase something in the FIFA 18: Ultimate Team store, you need to understand that you must always give something in return. This can either be coins, which you can earn by playing matches, or FIFA Points, which must be exchanged for real money in the store. Free packs are only available at the beginning when you start FUT, occasionally as gifts in the web app – but otherwise, every set has a price tag.
Normally, transactions proceed as follows: You see something you want; you give the friendly seller the agreed money and in return, you get the desired item. However, in FUT, you don’t know what you have purchased until you open the pack.
In other words: You only see after the transaction whether the deal was profitable for you or simply bad. You need luck.
Opening sets with coins?
You need to earn coins: by completing many matches or trading wisely on the transfer market. It definitely takes time until you have enough coins to open decent gold sets. If you decide to open packs with coins, your expectation is likely:
I want to pull cards whose total value exceeds the price of the pack.
You want to make a profit, of course. Unfortunately, this happens only rarely. Therefore, it is generally a bad idea to invest a lot of time in coins only to throw them away.
Opening sets with FIFA Points?
If you buy packs with FIFA Points, the probability of pulling a highly sought-after player is just as high as when you purchase sets with coins. However, you are not investing in game currency but real money. In rare cases, this can become enormous. Be aware of that! Here you should ask yourself:
Is it really worth it for me to invest real money in packs?
Again, you don’t know what you get for your money. If you are willing to spend money, it makes sense to wait for offers or special sets, as the chances of getting good players are a bit higher then. Unfortunately, there is never a guarantee.
Is there any study on pack opening?
No, there is no official study on this. An individual will never be able to open enough sets to reach a reliable conclusion on whether it’s worth pulling packs.
The site FIFAUTEAM has now opened numerous sets itself and compared its results with the community’s experiences, resulting in:
On average, you get back 60% of the invested value in the sets.
This means if you open a 7500-coin gold set, you get back cards worth around 4500 coins – mind you, on average! EA is happy about the remaining 40%. That’s your loss.
The first conclusion is thus: It is a very bad idea to invest earned coins in sets – unless you are among those who have outrageous luck. If you want to open packs, do it not for profit reasons. It will usually backfire – and all the playtime will be for nothing.
If you, however, just want to open a few packs for fun and dream of a Ronaldo or Messi – and are aware that this scenario is not likely to happen – then spend your coins as you please. The following graphic illustrates the reasons why you should open sets.
In short:
For fun: Yes, any time!
For profit reasons: No, unless you are willing to invest real money.
Is EA trying to force me to buy packs?
Yes!
You only become a coin millionaire in FUT if you are lucky enough to pull very good players in packs. Just playing would take forever to exceed the million limit. Therefore, it is the much easier way to open packs and hope for coveted players.
And that’s exactly what EA Sports wants. That you ideally purchase FIFA points for a lot of money and buy packs. They employ quite an aggressive marketing strategy, conveying the impression on social media that it is easy to pull good players. They support some YouTubers who showcase what great things they’ve pulled in their videos.

Since, as previously described, sets mainly lead to losses, fans try their luck again and again. After all, they’ve seen that good cards can come out too. But even YouTubers who are not directly supported by EA like to show when they have pulled good players. They want to share their joy with the world – whether to share their happiness or to make others jealous. Wherever we look, there’s only pack luck!
So why shouldn’t you be lucky once in a while? Just one pack, or two, or three. “The next set will definitely have a Messi!” Be aware of this strategy.
So should I not open packs anymore?
Of course, you should open packs as you please. After all, this is extremely important for the entire mode: without the cards from the sets, there would be no players in circulation, the transfer market would be empty. The whole fun wouldn’t work. But usually, you will lose either playtime or money. Keep that in mind before you open the next set. Maybe you are among the few who really have luck. That does happen. Hope dies last.
What other options do I have to build a good Ultimate Team?
There are other ways to create a good team – unfortunately, none of them are perfect.
You can save the coins you earn. However, this costs many hours of fun until you can afford the player you want. Keep in mind: There are numerous players with exceptional attributes that not everyone has on their radar and are quite affordable. Just take a look at the transfer market.
Another option is trading on the transfer market. This can be a very profitable option. However, this method is quite time-consuming and labor-intensive. Since price ranges were introduced, it has been somewhat restricted.
The best advice would be: Just have fun. And if you want to indulge in a pack because you enjoy it, that’s perfectly fine too. Who knows, maybe Cristiano Ronaldo is waiting in the next pack…
If you are a trophy hunter and platinum collector, this is likely a feature you have been waiting for!
For many PlayStation players, a game is only considered 100% completed when the platinum trophy pops up. This is the coveted trophy that you receive only after earning all other unlockable achievements in the game.
Players approach trophies differently: some diligently work towards platinum to expand their collection, while others are indifferent to such achievements, and others still think trophies are nice but are satisfied with what they earn during “normal gameplay”.
In the future, you may become more focused on trophy hunting, as an update currently causing a stir with the Sony Rewards Program.
Convert Trophies into PSN Credits
This rewards program has actually existed for a while, but until now it only offered boring rewards, making it of no significance to players. Many PS4 players in Germany are probably hearing about it for the first time.
A new update makes this feature much more interesting: It is now possible to convert hard-earned trophies into PSN credits. You can then use these to buy whatever you like in the PlayStation Store.
The rewards program works like this:
Each 100 silver trophies grant you 100 points,
each 25 gold trophies can be redeemed for 250 points
and 10 platinum trophies give you 1000 points.
For each 1000 points, you can earn a $10 voucher for the PlayStation Store.
This is certainly not a lot of money for the time invested, so you’re better off not quitting your job to become a professional trophy hunter, but for those who collect trophies anyway, this is certainly a welcome bonus.
However, there are not just one but two catches to this whole thing:
The feature is currently only available in the USA. In Germany, you cannot redeem your trophies.
Points are not retroactively awarded. This means you only earn points for the trophies you collect after signing up for the rewards program. If you already have 40 platinum trophies in your collection, you cannot convert them.
But: If this feature successfully takes off in the USA and becomes popular, it is likely that it will also be made available to the rest of the world in the future. We have no official information about this from Sony.
If the rewards program is also available in Germany – would you then be more focused on trophy hunting for platinum?
The Korean online role-playing game Bless is coming to Steam in early access in early 2018. Meanwhile, there is more information from the developer. The MMORPG Bless is expected to be available in German during early access.
At the Twitch Con 2017, there was more information about Bless.
Bless is coming in German and without Pay2Win
During the Twitch Con 2017, several questions about Bless were addressed in a FAQ:
The early access will take place in 2018. There will be time-limited tests before that. More information about the launch will be announced later.
There will be EA packages that provide advantages. Neowiz will still determine what the final payment model will look like, taking player feedback into account.
There should definitely be no Pay2Win in Bless!
They want to release Bless in as many regions as possible.
By the time of early access, Bless is expected to be translated into English, Russian, and German. Additional languages will be added during early access.
Some players will have the opportunity to test again before the EA release and provide feedback.
Especially the news about the German translation at the start of early access is a good piece of news. Other Asian games – like Revelation Online – are still waiting for a German localization, and players are angry!
In Warframe, you can get loyal pets. They assist you on missions and make your spaceship more homely. Kubrows are reminiscent of dogs and are proud fighters. Kavats are more like cunning cats. We introduce you to the companions.
Even if you prefer to play the multiplayer game Warframe alone, you should never be alone. As a Space Ninja, you have galactic pets at your disposal that support you as loyal companions.
But be careful! Such a pet comes with responsibilities, just like in real life. You must care for the little creatures, monitor their health, and give them affection. Only then will they become strong and useful companions.
However, you don’t get the pets for free. You must meet a few requirements to acquire a pet. We present the Kubrows and Kavats and explain how to get them.
Do you like dogs? Then the Kubrow is the right pet in Warframe for you!
Kubrows are the best friends of the Tenno and behave like dogs. When you come “home” to your spaceship, the Kubrows greet you with a cheerful wag of their tails. Sometimes they even playfully bark at you and give a satisfied grunt when you pet them.
On missions, Kubrows become combat machines and protect you. They knock enemies down, bite their throats out, and do not shy away from any confrontation.
There are 6 different Kubrow breeds, each with a different main ability.
Chesa: Collects scattered mods for its master.
Raksa: Scares nearby enemies away with its howl.
Huras: Makes its master and itself invisible.
Sunika: Drags VIP opponents (capture targets) to the ground and holds them.
Sahasa: Digs up energy and health orbs for its master.
Helminth: Pulls enemies with its snapping tongue and then tramples them down.
Kubrows hatch from eggs and here’s how to get them
You can get Kubrows relatively quickly. However, you must first accomplish a few things:
Start the quest “The Howling of the Kubrows.”
To receive the quest, you must first unlock the Venus-Mercury bridge
Follow the quest instructions
During the quest, you will receive the segment for an incubator
Now you need a Kubrow egg. You get the Kubrow egg on Earth by destroying Kubrow dens. (If Kubrows come towards you, follow their origin to find the dens)
Get an incubator energy core blueprint for credits in the market (Search for “incubator” in the search bar)
Farm the required resources
Now you can start incubation, wait 24 hours, and your puppy will hatch! You complete the quest “The Howling of the Kubrows” by getting a collar for the Kubrow on Earth. After that, the dog may join the battle.
Are you more of a cat person? Then get yourself a cunning Kavat!
Kavats are the perfect pets for the cat lovers among you. When you come “home” from exhausting missions back to your spaceship, they snuggle up to your hands, purring. Or they throw themselves on their backs and claw at your arm – just as a cat should!
Kavats can help you on missions and mainly have supportive main traits. There are 2 types of Kavats:
Adarza: Increases the critical hit chance of the Tenno
Smeeta: Can bring luck to its owner
Kavats live in places affected by the “Infestation” and feed on Infested, a kind of mutant. The cats are difficult to spot as they can camouflage and become invisible.
You need genetic codes to get a Kavat
The breeding of Kavats works differently than with Kubrows because you do not need eggs. For the cats, you first have to scan wild Kavats to obtain their genetic code. From the codes, you create clones of the Kavats and thus obtain your kittens.
For a Kavat:
First, complete the quest “The Howling of the Kubrows” to receive an incubator segment.
Upgrade your incubator with the segment “Incubator Segment: Kavat Upgrade”. This segment is a rare drop from the enemies “Hyekka Masters” or through research in the Tenno lab of the Clan Dojo.
You need 10x “Genetic Code: Kavat, which you get by scanning wild Kavats. You can find wild Kavats in the Orokin wrecks. (If you build the Kavat upgrade segment from a blueprint, you need an additional 10 genetic codes for this)
You still need the incubator energy core. You can get this as a blueprint for credits in the market (Search for “incubator” in the search bar)
Now you can start the incubation and later welcome your new Kavat kitten! Depending on the breed, the incubation can take up to 48 hours.
Your pets can die if you’re not careful
The DNA of the Kubrows and Kavats destabilizes by 10 percent every 24 hours, which can lead to their death. To prevent this, you must supply the little creatures with DNA stabilizers. In the market, you can get 6 stabilizers for 75,000 credits.
One stabilizer increases the DNA stability of the Kubrows and Kavats by 40 percent again. You must regularly provide your active animals with them if you don’t want to lose them!
A tip: You can get a Nutrio upgrade segment for your incubator.
The segment ensures that the DNA stability of the pets decreases by only 5 percent each day.
The upgrade will also automatically put your animals into stasis should the DNA stability fall below 0.
You can obtain the blueprint for the Nutrio upgrade segment in the Tenno lab of a clan.
If you should be away for a longer time and cannot supply the animals with DNA stabilizers, put your active pets into stasis. This puts them into a cold sleep, and you can wake them when you’re back in the game.
The most important thing at the end: Don’t forget to pet them!
Your Kubrows especially suffer when you do not give them affection. You must pet them regularly, meaning carry out an interaction to make your dogs happy.
If you forget to pet them for too long, your Kubrow’s loyalty will drop, and it will become weaker in battle! The loyalty can even drop to the point where the Kubrow no longer wants to support you on missions.
And Kavats are just cats. They grant you the honor of being able to pet them– they will even reward their subordinate Tenno with a purr. However, they do not require the interaction, and it provides no bonus.
You can see how petting looks in this video:

The Blizzcon 2017 is over, and fans of World of Warcraft can look forward to a lot of content in the future. With all the excitement around Battle for Azeroth and WoW Classic, J. Allen Brack seemed to have forgotten to announce the release of Antorus, the Burning Throne in November!
The promised content for WoW in the coming time has set many gamers’ hearts racing. Blizzard knows how to build hype. However, amidst all the information, WoW: Legion seemed to fall a bit by the wayside.
After the announcements regarding the Classic servers, the new addon Battle for Azeroth, and the changes in Patch 7.3.5, there was no clear statement about when the last raid of Legion would be released.
Antorus Release: No one asks in the Q&A – so players directly ask the boss!
The WoW player AshTag finally set off after the panels to speak personally with Executive Producer J. Allen Brack. He assured that Antorus, the Burning Throne, is set to be deployed on the American servers on November 28.
Twitter user Rho from Realm Maintenance sought confirmation of this information. After a brief conversation with Brack, he tweeted that the information is correct and the raid will indeed be released on the mentioned date.
I actually just spoke with J Allen Brack and he outright confirmed this. This is legit. Thanks Ash. https://t.co/xKQ2XmlrD2
For Europe, this means that WoW players can start exploring Antorus from November 29. There is no exact indication of which wing will open when. However, based on past experience, the schedule should look approximately like this:
November 29: Opening of Antorus, the Burning Throne in normal and heroic mode.
December 6: Mythic mode and the first LFR wing with the Garothi Worldbreaker, the Felhounds of Sargeras, and the Antoran Command.
December 20: second LFR wing with Portal Keeper Hasabel, Eonar the Lifebinder, and Imonar the Soulhunter.
January 2: third LFR wing with Kin’garoth, Varimathras, and the Circle of Shivarra.
January 16: last LFR wing with Aggramar and Argus, the Unmaker.
There is no official confirmation of the dates; the above list is derived from observations of the last releases.

Bungie is deploying Hotfix 1.0.6.2 to the PC version of Destiny 2 today, on November 6th. This update aims to fix massive issues introduced by the last update.
Last week, Bungie released the PC-specific Hotfix 1.0.6.1 for download. This was meant to address an issue with the clan overview and a problem with performance drops.
The clan overview is now working perfectly, but as countless Guardians report: the performance issues are now significantly worse. In other words, while one problem has been resolved, a new, even bigger annoyance has been introduced.
These performance issues manifest as Destiny 2 stuttering severely. There are reports of “micro-freezes.” They are so severe that the game can freeze for up to a second at times.
Bungie announced a few hours after the update: They are aware of the “frame rate stuttering” and are investigating it. Today, on November 6th, this stuttering will be fixed.
Update 1.0.6.2 – All Information
No maintenance work with server downtime is announced. Here are the details that Bungie provides:

The full patch notes for 1.0.6.2 will be released once the update is available. So far, Bungie only shares that it will address the hitching issues introduced with 1.0.6.1. This refers to the stuttering.
Let’s hope that this hotfix does not introduce new problems.
World of Warcraft receives its next expansion with Battle for Azeroth – without random Legendaries, but with Titanforging. The legendary items are disappearing from WoW.
Battle for Azeroth was introduced as a new expansion for WoW at Blizzcon 2017. The preview of Kul Tiras and Zandalar is promising. At the same time, there are concerns among fans that some mistakes could be repeated.
However, Blizzard has learned from the past and listens to the community. Game Director Ion Hazzikostas announced that the Legendary system will NOT be carried over to Battle for Azeroth. Titanforging (translated: titanforged items) will remain part of the game – with restrictions.
No more random Legendaries!
Hardly any other topic is as controversially discussed in World of Warcraft: Legion as Legendaries. In the livestream from streamer Jesse Cox at Blizzcon, Ion Hazzikostas announced that they will disappear in this form in Battle for Azeroth:
“The system of about a hundred Legendaries that can be obtained through any activity will not be present in Battle for Azeroth. Some of the experiences we had with customization and interesting items will be transferred into the ‘Heart of Azeroth’ system, in which players can personalize certain armor pieces according to their preferences.
It is not a system characterized by randomness, but by progress. We have learned a lot from it, so experiences from the Artifact and Legendary systems can be integrated into the “Heart of Azeroth”. We aim to give players goals to strive for. They should be able to customize their character to fit their play style.”
Titanforging – Not banned, but adjusted
Another major criticism of Legion has long been Titanforging. This means that items can randomly appear several item levels higher, thereby outclassing supposedly better items. The system will be retained – but it will not be applied to the Azerite pieces for the Heart of Azeroth.
“The Azerite pieces for armor cannot be warforged or titanforged. They are fixed, as they already have enough depth. They possess a personalizing character, which is why they should be relatively straightforward. I obtain a mythic item that replaces my heroic one – a clear improvement.

For all other items, gloves, bracers, trinkets, and so on, we are very satisfied with the system. If anything, the factors need to be adjusted a bit, as it can quickly feel like only titanforged equipment provides an improvement.”
What does this mean for Battle for Azeroth?
In the current version of World of Warcraft, the Artifact weapon and Legendaries primarily determine how strong a character is. These changes will bring a piece of freedom of expression and potential choice back.
The most important point is that, due to the absence of Legendaries, some armor slots will no longer be blocked by “Best in Slot” items, without which the character cannot fully realize its potential.
Also, the deep impact that Legendaries had on the character’s playstyle will disappear with them. The decisive items in Battle for Azeroth are therefore no longer the Legendaries, but the Azerite pieces.
That they cannot be titanforged removes the current problem of the relics from the Artifact weapons. If one has a relic with a better property but significantly different levels, it requires a lot of calculation to choose the better one – and a mistake will immediately weaken the character.
Titanforging of the remaining items is therefore just another way to be able to improve for as long as possible, without the character needing these items for its actual strength.

In Destiny 2, we take a look at all the weapons from the Trials of the Nine. How powerful are they? What are the perks? And are they worth it?
Trials of the Nine takes place every week from Friday to Tuesday. Those who dare to enter this PvP event and achieve some victories can earn Trials-specific weapons, armor pieces, and shaders.
All weapons are designed in a simple, elegant style. The dominant colors are white and gray, with blue highlights in the form of circles on each weapon, representing the symbols of the Trials of the Nine:
The logo of the Trials of the Nine
But can these weapons be effective, or do they just look extravagant?
This question was examined by the weapon expert Mercules904, who amazed the community with competent and detailed “weapon breakdowns” back during Destiny 1. We summarize his findings in English and see how the Trials weapons perform in PvP.
Notes in advance regarding terms in this article:
The optimal time-to-kill, or TTK, is the time it takes to eliminate an opposing Guardian under optimal circumstances in PvP, assuming that the opposing Guardian has 200 health points.
The Aim Assist helps to make targets easier to hit (in simple terms, high Aim Assist enlarges the hitbox of the opponent)
Prosecutor – Auto Rifle from the Trials of the Nine
The Prosecutor is a legendary auto rifle in the energy slot. It has a rate of fire of 450 and a impact of 29. Therefore, the Prosecutor belongs to the same archetype as the Origin Story or Uriel’s Gift.
The range is very high, and the stability and reload speed are also above average compared to other representatives of this archetype. Downsides include low aim assist (44) and magazine size (32). Here are the stats:
These are the perks:
Compact Precision: The recoil pattern is more vertical.
Hip-Fire Grip: When firing from the hip, accuracy and stability are improved.
You have the choice between:
Whoosh!: When you slide, the magazine is partially loaded, and handling and stability are temporarily improved.
Just Tap:When pressing the trigger for the first time, stability and accuracy are increased for a short time.
Additionally, you can influence stability, recoil, range, and weapon readiness speed with the sights.
The Prosecutor is a top weapon in PvP, although it is overshadowed by the outstanding energy auto rifle Uriel’s Gift. However, for those who are unlucky and do not yet possess Uriel’s Gift, the Prosecutor is definitely a recommendation.
The legendary auto rifle Uriel’s Gift
The optimal TTK is just 1.07 seconds, which is identical to the Origin Story and Uriel’s Gift. For that, 8 critical hits and one body hit are required.
The Prosecutor is strong not only at medium ranges but also thanks to the hip-fire grip at close range. When you take it into battle, you can’t go wrong!
In Hearthstone , there will soon be special cards only available in the Arena. We will show you what crazy cards are coming soon!
At BlizzCon 2017, many new things for Hearthstone were announced. The focus was on the reveal of the new expansion “Kobolds and Catacombs.” But there are also changes outside of the new add-on that will soon hit the Arena: exclusive Arena cards!
The Arena has always posed some balance problems for the Hearthstone developers. In the past, Blizzard had to repeatedly adjust and ban certain cards from the Arena, as they became too powerful.
Exclusive Cards Only for the Arena
Now the developers want to take the opposite step and implement cards that will be available only in the Arena. During BlizzCon, attendees were able to vote on which cards would be implemented into the Arena – one card per class.
Warlocks often face the problem that they rarely draw demons in the Arena, which eliminates many synergies. With Bottled Madness, all cards in hand are transformed into random demons!
Shamans weren’t good enough at clearing the board yet? That will change. For 0 mana comes Crackling Doom, which deals 12 damage to all minions on the battlefield. However, it comes at the cruel price of overload: 10. Thus, the next turn will be skipped.
For Paladins, there is the secret Hand of Salvation. This resurrects the second minion of the Paladin that died within a turn.
Please note that the balance of the cards is not final yet. The developers want to review them for balance, but the basic design of the mechanics should not change.
There is not yet a specific date for the release of the Arena cards. When it is time, we will report on it.
The gigantic finals in League of Legends (LoL) are over. A drama unfolded and there were dragons.
The eSports in League of Legends essentially follow the same rules as any professional sport. There are top teams and stars. What LeBron James is in basketball and Lionel Messi is in soccer, is a slender Korean boy known as “Faker” in League of Legends. His fans also call him the “immortal demon king” or simply “God”.
Faker – the Lionel Messi of LoL
Faker is considered a superstar who has elevated the LoL game to a new level. From his position as a “mid-laner”, he has dominated matches for years, regarded as incredibly versatile, with 30 champions in his repertoire, which he masters outstandingly. However, Faker does not indulge in star airs; he is a shy-looking, slender young man who appears humble and modest.
His reputation is legendary. However, the player Faker is always in the foreground, about whom little is known.
Faker serves as the ascetic role model for a generation of LoL players. When the Korean magazine Inven recently asked the US player Maxlore of Misfits if he had a girlfriend, he replied: “As long as Faker doesn’t have a girlfriend, I don’t have one either.”
Faker plays for the team SKT T1 – and they are somewhat the “Real Madrid” of LoL. They have won the club world championships for the last two years. However, there are also problems in LoL Wonderland Korea.
Star player resists the temptation of Chinese millions
In fact, Korea has been producing the best LoL players for years – however, the big money is made in China. A Chinese team is said to have offered Faker a million US dollars in 2014 if he played for them. In the years that followed, there were rumors that teams had offered him up to 4 million US dollars. However, Faker repeatedly declined. He stayed with his team, SKT T1.
However, some of his teammates left SKT T1 over the years.
The 2017 League of Legends World Championship was held in China. 24 teams battled for the trophy. The clear favorite was the team SKT T1 led by Faker, which had won the last 2 years.
Ardent Censer Meta strengthens AD Carry
However, the legend of SKT T1 took early dents this year. The LoL Worlds were played with a patch in which a single item dominated LoL. “Ardent Censer” makes the bot lane in an LoL team the decisive factor.
From the beginning of the tournament, it became clear that SKT T1 with “Bang” and “Wolf” would not be first-class. Especially the experienced Bang faced heavy criticism for his performances throughout the tournament. Observers agreed: “This is the weakest SKT T1 in years. Never have they been so beatable.” But at least they had God on their side, and he turned up.
Faker carries SKT T1 to the finals
Already in the quarterfinals, it took a miraculous performance from Faker for SKT T1 to prevail against the European team Misfits. By the way, a German player named PowerofEvil plays for Misfits, who narrowly missed the sensation.
Misfits surprised the Koreans with unusual picks like Blitzcrank and Leona. SKT T1 was already against the wall but made a comeback with a 3:2 victory. A dragon steal by Blank is regarded as the decisive moment of the series.

In the semifinals against the Chinese team “Royal Never Give Up”, Faker played the champion “Galio” in all 5 matches, which is actually an unusual pick for him. SKT T1 narrowly won 3:2. For observers, this was evidence of Faker’s versatility, as he bolstered his struggling bot lane as Galio.
In both series, Faker was named the “MVP” of the matches. Everything seemed to point towards a hero story: Against all odds and an unfavorable meta, the immortal demon king prevails and leads SKT T1 to their third world championship in a row. Everything much harder, much bigger, much more significant than the years before. Worthy of a God.
Final with Dragons
For the huge final, organizer Riot Games had something special planned and allowed a virtual dragon to circle above the battlefield.

SKT T1 faced Samsung Galaxy here. A rematch from last year. Samsung Galaxy is regarded as a disciplined and clever team that plays rather “boringly”, wearing down their opponents.
Not Faker wins the final, the AD Carry loses it
SKT T1 had problems from the outset. The AD Carry of SKT T1, Bang, made several mistakes that seemed inexplicable. The player was particularly criticized for his behavior in team fights. He had saved the opposing carry, Ruler, multiple times with his own ultimates. It’s puzzling, after all, Bang is a two-time world champion and was long considered an outstanding player.
There are two explanations:
Some suspect that Bang simply didn’t play enough LoL in the weeks and months leading up to the Worlds and was burned out.
Others think that the heavy criticism during the tournament could have further unsettled Bang after a weak start, leading to a complete failure in performance.
Especially the fans on the Korean gaming site Inven were mercilessly critical of Bang during the tournament. Some believe this could have broken him to the point where he made glaring errors in the final, such as this unnecessary flash that isolated him in a team fight and led his team down the path to defeat.

In any case, SKT T1 was hopelessly defeated 0:3 against the rivals Samsung Galaxy. They are thus the 2017 champions of League of Legends. AD Carry Ruler was named the MVP of the finals. Like his support CoreJJ, Ruler had impressive statistics throughout the knockout phase.
Ultimately, it was not the hero story of Faker, but the tragedy of Bang that shaped the final.
After the tournament, during the handshake, Faker was seen in tears. Despite an outstanding tournament performance, he was unable to lead his team to a third consecutive victory. Even gods can weep.

The western star ensemble “Team Solo Mid” failed incidentally already in the group stage. They had already made no friends in Korea before the world championships:
Have the shiny forms of these monsters been forgotten in Pokémon GO ? They certainly didn’t appear during the event. However, trainers have noticed shorter raid times. What is Niantic planning this time?
In the past hours, a lot has been happening in Pokémon GO. Raid times have been shortened, new raid bosses can be found in the wild, and now even more shiny forms have been discovered.
Nebulak, Alpollo, and Gengar as Shiny – Why not at the event?
Surprising finds were made by data miner “Chrales” from the PoGODev team. Just a few days ago, he discovered through a trick that the 3D models of Celebi and Ho-Oh are in the code of Pokémon GO. Now he explains that there are also shiny forms for three ghosts in the game.
The shiny designs for Nebulak and its evolutions Alpollo and Gengar were found by Chrales while examining the game code. However, the data miner is unsure how long the models for the three ghost monsters have been in the game. It’s strange that Niantic didn’t capitalize on the opportunity and send them into the wild during the spooky Halloween event.
Like with Celebi and Ho-Oh, the 2D models are still missing. Only when the 2D images are in the game are the shinies ready for their debut in the game. However, you can already take a look at the three:
In addition to the monsters, the raid mechanics have also changed.
Raids now only last 45 minutes
Once again, Niantic has tinkered with the raids. In Pokémon GO, you can now find many new raid bosses, which are categorized into difficulty levels 1-4. These include Geowaz, Porygon, and Safcon.
Due to a change in Pokémon GO, you now have only 45 minutes instead of an hour to defeat a hatched raid boss. The display duration of the eggs remains at one hour.
Particularly players in rural areas are struggling with this change. Now there is even less time to find other players to successfully complete the raids together. Additionally, many players in rural areas have to make long journeys to reach gyms.
This could only be a temporary change that Niantic will modify again soon. We don’t know exactly what the developers aim to achieve with these changes. Players hope there will be an official explanation soon.
In Season 2, new cash shop items will arrive in Destiny 2, which you can purchase in the Eververse. But what will happen to the old stuff? We’re exploring the possibilities!
In addition to new loot for you to hunt, the real-money store Eververse will be stocked with new inventory. The contents of the reward packages, the “Shiny Engrams,” will be updated. In Season 2, you will find new emotes, new ships, new sparrows, and much more. These cosmetic items are season-specific. A cool ship that you receive in Season 2 cannot be obtained through the shiny engraves in Season 3.
One exception is the shaders: These can always be obtained. New shaders are added each season, but none are removed.
But what happens to the junk that will no longer be available in the Eververse after Season 2? Is there a rush to get the last items before Season 2 starts on December 5?
To put it bluntly:There has been no official statement from Bungie. Therefore, we present three theories on how Bungie might handle the gestures, ships, and ghosts that will no longer be available.
Theory 1: Cosmetic items as rewards from activities
Eververse existed in Destiny 1 as well. Here, Bungie rotated the available cosmetic items at regular intervals. To prevent these items from completely disappearing, Sparrow packages and gestures could be earned in the weekly Nightfall strike.
The Eververse in Destiny 1
This was not well received by players. A gesture as a reward for completing a challenging endgame activity? Players wanted real loot – not gestures or horns.
Earning cosmetic items in the Nightfall strike was unpopular, so Bungie will likely not introduce this option in Destiny 2. The direction of only selling cosmetic items through the Eververse is clearly recognizable.
A legendary ship in Destiny 2
Theory 2: “Legacy Engrams” make a comeback
In Destiny 1, a mechanism was introduced after the first year to separate older exotic items from new ones: The legacy engrams. If a certain old exotic weapon was not yet owned, players had the chance to complete their collection with legacy engrams from Xur.
The legacy engravings worked based on the smart loot system: The chance of obtaining missing weapons was high.
For Bungie, a new form of legacy engravings in Destiny 2 could represent another way to introduce paid Eververse items. These could be offered cheaper than the regular shiny engravings to increase the incentive to purchase missing gestures and ships. Or these “Legacy Engrams for old cash shop items” could be offered directly for shimmering dust.
In my opinion, legacy engravings represent a likely option. If these function according to the smart loot system, players would have clear incentives to invest in old ships, gestures, and ornaments.
If Bungie removes every opportunity to acquire items that have dropped out of rotation, guardians would need to act now. But Bungie should have explicitly announced this so that players can invest now to obtain everything.
Bungie has not done this. If the items are to be completely removed, it would only be for an indefinite period. Bungie plans to hold four seasons per year. Therefore, the currently available items might return in Season 5 (or Season 1 in Year 2).
However Bungie decides – there will be changes in the Eververse. At the latest on December 5, we will have certainty.
What do you think, how will Bungie deal with the then outdated cosmetic items?

Crazy hero concepts in Overwatch are nothing unusual. During the “Overwatch Archives” panel at Blizzcon 2017, Jeff Kaplan and Arnold Tsang also talked about concepts that were too wild even for the hero shooter, such as the legendary Jetpack Cat.
There is no secret that Overwatch has adopted many concepts from the former Project Titan. In particular, many of the original heroes were once classes from the MMORPG. However, after Titan was canceled, existing concepts had to be completely revised.
The heroes and their characters are a core element for Overwatch. Their features make the game so special and give it a high recognition value. However, during the development of the game, there were also some ideas that were too crazy even for those who say to a talking gorilla scientist: “Welcome to the team, Winston! Here is your jetpack.”
A particularly wild early concept is the “Jetpack Cat.” The flying cat originated during the time between Titan and Overwatch, when as many new impressions were to be gathered as possible.
Two versions prevailed in their idea: A heroic comic cat that actively uses its jetpack, and a perhaps somewhat more realistic one that relaxes in its jetpack chair and attacks from above out of boredom.
Although the Jetpack Cat was very popular with the team at the time, it was deemed “too ridiculous” for Overwatch. Its concept felt as if they would “glide out of the universe.” Interestingly, it was not the only flying animal…
Gargoyles, monkeys… alligators?
While Winston had relatively early on found his place as a character in Overwatch, flying animals were not entirely off the list yet. The crew’s minds were filled with (robot) monkeys, gargoyles, alligators, or creepy guys with goatees and flaming hair.
The idea behind the characters was heroes that could move freely in the air (similar to Mercy today). They were supposed to distinguish themselves from Winston’s jump module and Pharah’s (then still “Rocketdude”) rocket pack. In the end, however, the team decided that the ideas were certainly great, but better suited for another game, not Overwatch.
From hockey players to permanent concepts
In addition to animals, other non- (or only limited) human characters were shown as early ideas. A strange alien and a giant robot, whose control status is ambiguous, are just two of them. The latter idea may have found its way into the game in the form of D.Va.
Kaplan’s favorite among the never-released heroes is Hockey Hero. There is no exact concept behind the hero, but he still likes the idea very much today – probably the reason for Lúcio’s legendary skin.
Right after the end of Titan and the start of Overwatch (then operated under the name Prometheus), there was a concept board with 50 heroes – some of which made it into the game one way or another. So it is not unlikely that some of the earliest ideas will be revisited at a later point!
