A new Overwatch patch is being tested on the PTR. The long-awaited rework of Hanzo is coming, along with some adjustments to other heroes.
Blizzard is finally taking it seriously. For months, players have been complaining about Hanzo’s scatter arrow, which can take down tanks precisely without much skill and has resulted in some absurd kills. A rework of the Shimada brother has long been announced, and it is now coming to fruition.
A new patch is being tested on the official PTR of Overwatch. We will reveal all the details about the new Hanzo.
The projectile speed of the storm bow has been increased from 85 to 100.
Sonic Arrow
The cooldown has been reduced from 20 to 12 seconds.
The duration has been reduced from 10 to 6 seconds.

Hanzo can fire up to 6 arrows in quick succession, each dealing reduced damage, but all fired with full strength.
Essentially, the changes aim to make Hanzo’s damage more consistent and eliminate the scatter arrow without weakening Hanzo’s overall strength. With his increased mobility, he will be harder to catch and can thus deal damage for longer.
Nerfs for Genji, Junkrat, and Tracer – A buff for Lúcio
But other heroes are also getting minor adjustments.
The hitbox of Genji’s deflect has been reduced. Previously, Genji could also deflect projectiles that hit significantly beside him. Even after the changes, Genji will be fully protected from the front. Only projectiles that would otherwise hit beside him will no longer be reflected.
Junkrat has to deal with two minor nerfs. The size of his weapon projectiles decreases from 0.3 to 0.2. More precise aiming will be required to score direct hits. In addition, the movement speed of the kamikaze tire is reduced from 13 to 12. This gives enemies a bit more opportunity to take out the tire early.
Tracer feels a direct nerf. The damage of her ultimate ability Pulse Bomb is reduced by 25%. Instead of dealing 400 damage, it only deals 300 damage now. This change is being implemented because Tracer can too easily eliminate tanks with the bomb. This should provide the massive, slow tanks with more opportunities to survive such a bomb.
Lúcio will be even better at wall riding. The wall ride will now be less frequently interrupted as long as he is riding along the same surface. This means that the wall ride can now go around corners (both inside and outside corners) without having to break contact with the wall. Additionally, Lúcio can continue the wall ride on the same wall after a jump if he lands far enough from the starting point. Furthermore, the sound wave (his “push”) will no longer have ammunition costs.
New Escort Map “Rialto”

Viewers from Germany and Europe can currently only watch the Overwatch League games at very inconvenient times – and have no “home team”. The focus of the eSports event is heavily on America with the game times and teams. This should change in the second season.
Those who want to follow the Overwatch League live in Germany currently have to stay awake until 5 a.m. – or at night – on most days. Not a pleasant time for most people, especially not for those who work.
Moreover, the league’s teams are not particularly appealing to European fans. The only European team is based in London and is operated by the American team Cloud9. Only the Shanghai Dragons have no connections to the USA.
The head of the Overwatch League, Nate Nanzer, spoke in an interview with Daily Mail Online about plans to expand the league into Europe. The goal is to make the event more attractive to European and Asian viewers and the market in the second season.
According to Nanzer, Europe and Asia are very important areas for Overwatch and the Overwatch League. Especially in Asia, the game has a large fan base and player community that the league now wants to cater to.
Nanzer stated that it doesn’t matter where the matches take place in the next season of the Overwatch League. They will be scheduled “at a time that is better for Europe and Asia. The times were not good this year. We are looking to improve that.”
However, the much more important concern of the league head is to give fans a reason to watch: their own teams. In Season 2, numerous new teams are supposed to join the league – focusing on Europe and Asia.
To this end, talks have taken place with the European Club Association (ECA), which represents the individual football clubs in relation to UEFA. Many clubs are thinking innovatively about their future, and eSports is a way for them to reach a new audience.
For Nanzer, cities like Berlin, Paris and large cities in Scandinavia, the Benelux countries, Spain and Italy are particularly interesting. He wants to attract teams to these locations to compete in Season 2.
One of the league’s major efforts, according to Nanzer, is to allow teams to organize home games. The decision has not yet been made, but if this step is not taken in the second season, it will be shortly after.

It is criticized that a large part of the players is now rewarded with items that are worth 40,000 gold or more. Previously, very few people could showcase that much gold.
Rarely were goods sold in the ingame auction house for a bid over 50,000 gold.
As ListenToKPOP criticizes in the TERA subreddit, the situation has drastically changed with the event. Rare items such as mounts, costumes, or enchanting materials have exploded in price. Items that were usually sold for 3,000 to 10,000 gold are now being sold for 20,000 to 30,000 gold.
Worse describes a user in the official TERA forum. On his server, the prices have risen by an average of 500 percent. Additionally, the event is reported to be bugged, giving some players three times the amount of gifts.

Tilted Towers is a location on the map of Fortnite: Battle Royale. The spot is quite centrally located and full of loot and tall buildings. Therefore, many players rush there at the beginning of the game and are often quickly eliminated. The loot is highly contested.
To celebrate the likely demise of Tilted Towers – it could happen any day now – players called for a ritual destruction of the city. Players coordinated across all platforms and agreed to wear only basic skins for better recognition.

Patch 1.8.1 has been available for a week at The Division and we finally have a release date for Blackout: On April 23, the next Global Event starts.
Just now, the State of the Game aired on April 19, and today’s server maintenance fixed a problem in the underground. Until now, players could continue to obtain exotic weapons that are available from the special equipment vendor. This was supposed to be fixed with patch 1.8.1 and has finally been resolved.

For European players of TERA, many changes are coming soon for the PC version. The servers of the PC version of TERA are merging: Who will be the German server after the integration in 2018?
Players of the MMORPG TERA published by Gameforge on PC should brace themselves for some changes soon. In a few weeks, TERA plans to merge its servers. There will then be only one server per language.
The following server merges will take place for the different languages:
The English server Sikander will disappear and will be integrated into Mystel.
The German server Saleron will disappear and will be integrated into Yurian.

6v6 in the Crucible – fans’ thoughts
The initial reactions from the Guardians have mostly been surprisingly positive so far. According to the comments from players on Reddit and other forums, it quickly becomes clear that the format known from its predecessor is very well received by the Guardians in Destiny 2.
Obviously, the PvP is finally fun – for some, for the first time ever. Many fans see the 6v6 mode as a welcome change in the otherwise monotonous Crucible of the game. Not a few go even further and already demand the permanent incorporation of this format into the Crucible and an expansion to other game modes.

Bans for spoofers in Pokémon GO are now even permanent. Niantic is ramping up its fight against cheaters and sending out a wave of Pokémon GO bans.
What is spoofing? Spoofing in Pokémon GO is a topic that has various opinions. It is a type of cheating where players can change their location with the help of software without moving their bodies.
For example, a trainer could live in the last village of Bielefeld but move around in the game in Los Angeles, catching monsters there.
This helps trainers in rural areas where there are no stops or gyms. However, it clearly interferes with the gameplay of Pokémon GO and violates the rules. The developers do not want this and are now demonstrating their unwillingness very clearly by throwing the cheaters out of the game – and this time probably for good.
PokéGo++ has hit hard
Spoofers with iOS devices often resorted to the PokéGO++ application to fake a location in Pokémon GO. But now there are evidently major problems. Many bans have hit, permanently removing players from Pokémon GO.
According to a statement from a moderator of the PokéGo++ subreddit, this is not due to poor coding, but a new step from Niantic. According to his assessment, they already knew last year exactly which players were spoofing.
Recently, the Pokémon GO developers from Niantic updated the security measures. This resulted in PokeGo++ users having to take a forced break. It took only about 1.5 weeks for the spoofing app to slip through these measures and undermine Niantic’s efforts.
It seems likely that Niantic did not want to give any more chances and, as a result of the renewed breakthrough, banned the accounts of the spoofers.
Moreover, the Discord server of PokéGO++ has been deleted. According to statements from the Reddit moderator, this deletion occurred directly from Discord. The reasons are unknown.
We are talking about permabans
Since about Tuesday evening (04/17), complaints from trainers who can no longer access the game are piling up. In the past, spoofers often received only soft bans, which allowed the player to remain in the game but severely limited their functions.
Since the latest wave of bans, Niantic is no longer allowing players in and displays this error message, which in the past was only given to bot accounts (or players whose internet connection is disrupted).
Furthermore, some usernames of the banned accounts have become available again – which would be illogical with a temporary ban. Therefore, the community on Reddit is now assuming that the spoofers have also been permanently banned.
The project PokéGo++ has not been discontinued due to the bans. They seem to continue working on the app and aim to circumvent Niantic’s security measures in the future.
These permanent bans indicate how seriously Niantic takes spoofers. When Android users will be targeted is still unclear. We suspect that Niantic will also impose “order” there soon and ban spoofers.
We would like to emphasize at this point that spoofing in Pokémon GO is prohibited, and we do not advise any of you to use such services.
Strange stories surround Hearthstone. Here are the craziest cards that didn’t make it into the game.
The development of Hearthstone is full of funny anecdotes and unresolved mysteries. Some of these have now been clarified by the Game Director Ben Brode. He spoke about many details in the development, such as the craziest card ideas or why Jeff Kaplan from the Overwatch team is responsible for a very special mechanic of Hearthstone.

This is mainly because there are only a limited number of developers, but millions of players. If just one of them has a brilliant idea, the deck spreads like wildfire. Such examples are the classic Freeze Mage or Miracle Rogue.

Also interesting is the anecdote around exhaustion damage. When a player has no cards left in the deck but needs to draw one, they take increasing damage.
This was not always the case. Jeff Kaplan, the Game Director of Overwatch, had started playing Hearthstone and had gotten very into the game. He was in an exciting match and about to win – when suddenly “Defeat” appeared on the screen. Kaplan was shocked by the sudden loss, and this shock was taken as a reason to revise the system.
In physical card games, you usually lose a match when the cards are exhausted. However, that felt too devastating in Hearthstone. Instead, they wanted to utilize the growing threat of “Exhaustion” – it felt fairer and no longer negated the decisions made during the match.

This quest has certain features of a raid, as you can participate with up to 16 players and work together on the progress of the quest. However, you also have the option to fight Kulve Taroth alone.
The fight is also divided into different phases, during which Kulve Taroth changes its behavior. Additionally, you must achieve certain goals through a points system to improve your rewards.
The “Kulve Taroth” quest is a time-limited quest that will disappear from the game after two weeks.

Unlocking the Siege Quest “Feast in the Earthen Hall”:
Once you have found the Gold Pieces, talk to the Admiral at the Trade Yard. He has a blue exclamation mark above his head.
Now speak in the Skywatcher (gathering hub) with the site girl at the quest counter.
Now you can head to the new quest area “Eldorado Caves”.
How does the new Siege Quest work?
The siege quest is a completely new form of investigation. Collect traces during the quest with up to 16 hunters, destroy body parts and inflict damage. Each participant contributes to the successful completion of the investigation.
The more tasks/goals you complete in the investigation before Kulve Taroth retreats, the better the rewards will be. Once the horns of the Elder Dragon are severed, the quest is successfully completed.
This is how the group play with 16 hunters works:
The siege quest can be played with up to 16 hunters, but also alone.
You will enter the quest in groups of four times four, but cannot see other groups. You only see your own group
However, you work with each group on the progress of the quest. If group A breaks a part of Kulve Taroth, this information will appear on group B’s screen and vice versa.
You will earn points for specific goals. Everyone in the team receives the same points when someone achieves the goal.
Kulve Taroth’s goals and points determine the value of the reward
You will need to achieve specific goals to improve your reward.
Goals can be: right chest plate – plating broken, area reached, pursuit points X reached, etc.
The system works through a points system that you can also check in the lobby at any time.
In the end, you achieve a reward level through your collective progress. The highest level seems to be 17. You increase this by completing goals.
You collect the points in the investigation, which determine how much time you have.

The fight against Kulve Taroth is divided into 4 phases: Fire resistance is a must!
Kulve Taroth is located in the Eldorado Caves and will go through four phases here. Here is a brief summary of how these phases look.
Phase 1: In the first phase, the Elder Dragon is in the first area of the map. Here, it takes random paths, and you must follow it. In this part of the map, there are barricades everywhere, and you will need to use Clutch Claw to move. Kulve Taroth will gradually break through the barricades here. You will also find large cannons here, which you can use to shoot at it.
Phase 2: Kulve Taroth runs to the next area, where you will encounter three elevations, similar to the Xeno’jiiva. Here, too, you can use Clutch Claw to move. In this phase, the Elder Dragon also begins to produce a kind of lava puddle, which becomes stronger in the remaining phases. Additionally, it spews a fireball that goes straight up. You are generally safe on the elevations from it, which is interesting for ranged fighters, but you must be careful of the fireballs.
Phase 3: From here, you urgently need fire resistance, as everything in this area is filled with lava. So use a cool drink, a fireproof mantle, a vitality mantle, and health boosters. In front of this room, you will also find frost mushrooms, of which you only need one to make a cool drink. Additionally, you will find many rocks in this room that you can make fall.
Phase 4: In this phase, you have broken Kulve Taroth’s parts enough that its gold shell has fallen off. The Elder Dragon is now smaller, but also significantly faster. It will perform rapid attacks, and its lava puddle can knock you out in one hit.
Note: It can certainly happen that you break the gold shell in an earlier phase. If that happens in the second phase, Kulve Taroth will run straight to the fourth phase area.
The more hunters, the better
In each phase, you must try to break as many parts as possible and read traces of Kulve Taroth. This way, you can maximize your rewards. Therefore, it is also highly recommended to travel with 16 hunters, as this can significantly boost your quest rewards.
Additionally, Kulve Taroth can disappear in every phase if you do not achieve enough goals by breaking body parts. This is already challenging to accomplish alone.
Quick Tip: Bring Flashpods for the golden Gajalaka found everywhere. These are extreme nuisances and annoy you while looting. Additionally, they draw you into combat, causing you to quickly lose track of Kulve Taroth. You will have peace from them only in the last phase.
You cannot send SOS signals, by the way.

As a special reward, you can receive parts that grant you access to the special relic weapons. Which weapon that is, is decided by chance. However, the statistics for the various models are the same.
Kulve Taroth’s armors are extremely strong
Kulve Taroth’s armors are among the strongest that you can currently obtain in the game. The Alpha set has strong abilities, and each armor piece includes a level 1 slot for decorations.
The Beta set has a level 1 slot on each armor piece and additionally a level 2 slot or a level 3 slot. In the image below, you can individually see the skills and statistics for each armor piece. To enlarge, you can click on them.
The randomness determines which relic weapon you receive
As a reward, you obtain the special relic weapons from this quest. The value of these must be assessed first, and from this, you will receive your weapons.
In the gathering hub, you can have the weapons assessed and find out which weapon you have drawn.
The relic weapons are golden, and the different weapons will always have the same stats.
If you obtain the “Taroth Hammer Ice” and another hunter does as well, both weapons will have the same stats.

The new update for Star Wars Battlefront 2 is here and includes microtransactions and a new game mode. The reactions from fans have been very positive so far – players are enjoying the update. We show why.

New content that fans love
The update 1.10 provides fans with fresh content. Since April 18, Battlefront 2 has brought back the fight of the Ewoks against the Empire in its new limited-time mode “Ewok Hunt”.
Ewok Hunt Assault Mode
In this new mode, players fight on the forest moon of Endor either on the side of the Ewoks or the Empire. As an Ewok, you must try to eliminate the Imperial intruders, while the task of the Stormtroopers is to survive until the arrival of the approaching extraction team.
How long the mode will be available to players is currently unknown. However, it is very popular among fans, and voices are already being raised calling for a permanent inclusion of the creative Ewok hunt in Battlefront 2.

The higher rewards for daily challenges also contribute to this good balance.
Finally acceptable microtransactions and fair progression
The current update 1.10 for Battlefront 2 also completes the transition of the game from a microtransaction nightmare to a fundamentally fair business model.
After overhauling the progression system back in March 2018, microtransactions have now returned in a fair form along with the update – the crystal currency has been reintroduced. This allows players to purchase cosmetic outfits even without the in-game currency and thus change the appearance of their characters.
The crystals themselves can be purchased with real money. Outfits can also be exchanged for credits earned through in-game activities.

On Reddit and other forums, the positive comments from players about the new update 1.10 have been predominant after release. It is often remarked that Battlefront 2 offers a reconciliatory gameplay experience with the latest updates, and people are returning because of that.
A Reddit user humorously noted that the worst thing about the new update is that it was released during the week, making it difficult to fully enjoy.

Yesterday, Black Desert Online received another patch that alters the way Crowd Control abilities function in PvP, among other things. Players have wanted changes to the PvP system for a while, but many fans believe that Pearl Abyss is tackling the issue a bit too radically with the current patch.
Black Desert fans on Reddit are currently drawing comparisons between Black Desert after the current patch and a burning house.
But what exactly happened?
No more Crowd Control combos
This is how it was before the update: Before the patch, effects like stun, freeze, and knockback were considered as a set. Another set included the effects of knockdown, downward smash, and throw. “Grabbing” was not part of any of these sets and could almost always be applied (except during invincibility).
The sets worked such that while affected by the effect of one set, a player was immune to other effects in the same set.
Classes that had the talent for grabbing had an advantage over classes that did not possess the skill.
This is how it is with the new update: With the new patch, the effects of knockdown, downward smash, throw, knockback, stun, and grabbing are considered one set and can only be activated a maximum of two times on the target within 5 seconds.
During this “cooldown,” the target is immune to Crowd Control effects, which is supposed to improve the balance between classes. Kakao Games has already announced that they will continue to look at the PvP system and may make further changes.
The right way
Players on Reddit appreciate that Pearl Abyss is addressing the PvP system and attempting to improve it. However, the fact that Crowd Control (CC) is greatly restricted with the new patch has upset some players.
Redditor One_Man_Moose_Pack does not agree with the adjustments. He says that if you can’t kill anyone within two CC after the patch, you can’t kill anyone at all.
Another user on Reddit, however, believes that these adjustments are a step in the right direction: “We hate getting oneshot”
Pearl Abyss wants to continue working on class balance in the coming weeks to make the classes as equally strong as possible.

In the MMORPG Bless, two factions clash – the Hieron and the Union. This ignites a war fought over independence and differing worldviews.
This is a common theme in many MMORPGs: Two (sometimes more) realms are at war. Players join a faction and often clash with players from the opposing side. This is also the case in Bless. Here, too, there are two factions that fundamentally represent different values, leading to a conflict that escalates into a faction war.
A Deep-Rooted Conflict
The war is born from the fundamentally different views of the two realms, Hieron and Union.
Hieron:
The faction rules over the northern continent and represents a “Holy Alliance”
The Hieron defeated the barbarian tribes and ended the era of darkness in the world
Led by the Hawk Empire, the alliance protects the northern lands from the recurring raids of the barbarian tribes
Hieron believes that order is maintained through values, virtues, and authority
The alliance thinks that the world lacks these qualities and is hence a corrupted place
Hieron aims to unite all civilized peoples of the continent and implement its own world order
Union:
The faction was founded by the Amistad, a people of humans living on the southern continent
The Amistad belonged to the Light Realm, which was destroyed by a catastrophe
The Amistad were freed by the Hawk Empire and regained prosperity and peace
However, the Amistad wanted to return to the former glory of the Light Realm, but the worldview of the Hieron stands in their way
The Amistad believe that the issues in the world arise from the unchanged status system and the hierarchical social structure
They seek new ideas and new values and strive for independence, which does not align with the worldview of the Hieron
No Chance for Peace
The independence war in which the two factions in Bless find themselves was initiated by the Amistad because they no longer wanted to pay tribute to the Hieron. Other peoples joined the Amistad, leading to the founding of the Union.

Visit different taco shops in Fortnite: Battle Royale in a single match!
On the map of Fortnite: Battle Royale, there are five taco shops identifiable by the glowing letters above the entrance. You must visit three out of the five shops in a single match to earn the stars for the battle pass.
The order in which you visit the taco shops is up to you – however, you should keep an eye on the storm’s progression to avoid being caught off guard at the end.

Follow the treasure map from Moisty Mire in Fortnite: Battle Royale!
As in previous weeks, you do not need to find the treasure map – it is sufficient to go directly to the marked spot. Once you have found the correct location, a battle star will appear as if by magic that you just have to collect.

Finally, there is a map selection for PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds), where you can choose your desired map before starting and no longer have to rely on chance.
Since the second map “Miramar” was released in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, players had to accept their fate. It decided for them before the start of a round on which map the battle would take place: on the green Erangel map or in the desert of Miramar.
This was problematic, because as it is with maps in online shooters, some are simply not well received by players: Many PUBG players hated the newer desert map Miramar.

Map Selection in PUBG – Finally choose between Miramar or Erangel
In recent months, the calls from the community have grown louder. People want a map selection to exclude their “hate map” and not be forced to play on it (or leave the match early). In between, players even came up with the idea to remove a map from the game data so that PUBG doesn’t even consider selecting it.
In an announcement on Steam, the developers now explain that map selection will be implemented in PUBG. However, they had to clear up some issues first. To make the selection work, the developers gathered feedback from players worldwide and are now satisfied with this version of the map selection:
They want to closely monitor the selection when new maps come into play and possibly make adjustments. The UI shown in the screenshot could ultimately look different in-game. However, it should work as follows:
You can select maps you want to play with a click
If you do not want to play a map, you simply remove it from the selection
If you have selected more than one map, the game will randomly select which one you play on
The work on this new feature is nearing completion for testing on the test servers. An exact release date has not yet been set.
