Players on Android are doing everything they can to also play Fortnite on their phones and end up on dubious download sites that promise Fortnite Android or Fortnite Android Beta. Sensortower estimates that Fortnite Mobile could take in over 500 million USD in 2018, but only if Fortnite also releases on Android.
Since Fortnite Mobile was announced, there has been no further official announcement from Epic regarding Fortnite on Android devices. No beta has been announced, there has been no whisper about it.
But the demand for Fortnite Android is huge.
Fake sites claiming to offer Fortnite Android download are receiving a lot of traffic
Therefore, there are some sites online that pretend to be Epic. They claim: “You can download and play Fortnite Android APK with us.”
Epic itself has repeatedly warned about these sites. These sites are absolutely untrustworthy upon closer inspection and describe in their texts the “Save the World” version or even “GTA V.”
That doesn’t stop players from frantically navigating these sites to seemingly download and play Fortnite on Android.
This shows how great the demand for Fortnite is among Android players – and how reckless some are willing to get.
Epic’s statement is clear: This is all fake. Only our official sites are real.
This is how the Fortnite Android scam works
The YouTuber Redskull has dealt with the “scam” behind these sites. He explains how these fake sites work:
There are popular videos showing how to download Fortnite Android (always from the same site) – but it is never actually played
The APK that you download is relatively small – only about 45 MB
The APK is harmless, virus scanners do not trigger
Another download is pretended, but it never takes place
You are supposed to complete a “verification” here, where you have to download and play apps from the Google Store
You reach these apps through an “affiliate” link, meaning: The person who sent you to the app makes money from it
This “verification process” repeats itself endlessly.
But no one can actually play Fortnite on Android.
Someone is making real money off the fact that people are downloading the “Fake Fortnite Android” app. But no one can play Fortnite Android yet.

Last night (April 20, 2018), Ben Brode announced in the official forum that he is leaving Blizzard. He will help to start a new development studio.
Brode was a prime example of the “American Dream” – he started out as a pizza delivery driver, was then hired at Blizzard for game testing, and steadily worked his way up the ranks until he ultimately became the leader of Team 5 and thus the Game Director of Hearthstone.
Brode thanked for his nearly 15 years at Blizzard and reassured players that Hearthstone is in the best hands – he would have been more of an undeserving figurehead anyway, as others would design all the cards and game modes.
Fans especially appreciated Brode for his openness and active communication with the community. Almost no day went by without Ben Brode being mentioned on Reddit. When fans were unhappy with a new addon because it didn’t include a song, he would take to the microphone himself and deliver the rap:

The latest update of the Alpha of WoW: Battle for Azeroth made two new races playable. Players can play Mag’har Orcs and Dark Iron Dwarves.
With Battle for Azeroth, additional allied races from World of Warcraft join the Alliance and the Horde. In the Korean version of Black Desert, players can now date certain NPCs. Many players court the same NPC.
Black Desert is a huge sandbox full of possibilities where you can trade, kill monsters, and fight other players. Until now, there has been no option to form a relationship with NPCs. With the latest patch, Korean players can now do just that.
Visual Novels in Asia
In Asia, so-called visual novels are a popular medium. Visual novels are video games in which a female or male protagonist can choose between different partners and court them. This can be done in the classic variant, with a male protagonist and female partners and vice versa, or with same-sex couples.
In these games, you go on dates with partners, give them meaningful gifts, and thus create a close bond between the protagonist and the NPCs.
Something similar you can now do in Black Desert Online. But you are not the only admirer. The NPCs are courted by all players on the server, and they can then, like in dating apps, choose the best player.
How it works in the Korean version of Black Desert
In the game, you can build a friendship with certain NPCs. The friendship increases by giving the NPCs certain items. The more they like the item, the more your friendship with them increases. Giving an NPC a gift costs you 5 energy in the game.
Once your friendship has surpassed a certain value (1000), you can gather all your courage and confess your love to the NPC. The NPC’s reaction will be the same for every player: “I need time to think about it.”
After a week has passed (after the regular weekly maintenance is completed), the NPCs will get back to you via letter. The letter can contain two different things:
The NPC tells you that they love you too and your friendship decreases by 10%. In addition, you receive the special title “Boyfriend” or “Girlfriend” for at least one week.
Or the NPC has chosen another player, your friendship decreases by 5%, and you are left standing alone in the rain.
Love is determined by chance
Each player can date one or more NPCs for at least one week. While you are in a relationship, you cannot confess your love to other NPCs (but you can still date them). Other players can date your “partner”. If you have the highest friendship value with your partner at the end of the week, the dating period for that NPC will be extended by one week. Otherwise, the NPC will choose a new partner based on the friendship of all players and chance.
If that happens, and the NPC breaks up with you, you will receive a goodbye letter and lose the special title “Boyfriend”/”Girlfriend”.
Become a Casanova
Nothing prevents you from dating different NPCs simultaneously and confessing your love to them (you must be single for that). If you confess your love to 5 NPCs at the same time, you will receive the title “Player”. If it is 10 simultaneous NPCs, the title is “Casanova”.
The following NPCs you can confess your love to: Crio, Eileen, Valks, Bahar, Brego, Willar, Leona, Richter, Grace Lauren, Elina Leight, Isobelle Encarotia, Dominic Erne, Santo Manzi, Annolisa Rosie, Luwensley Ornella.
Only question left is what the NPCs do with the many thousands of gifts they receive from the players?

Basically, the Witchwood is structured like the Catacombs from the last expansion. There are 45 completely new bosses to fight in random order, with the end bosses appearing to follow a fixed sequence.
However, not the 9 regular heroes of Hearthstone are playable, but 4 variations of these characters that we also know as cards from the Witchwood. The playable characters are:

Monster Hunter World surprisingly released its second free DLC this week, and it packs a punch! The patch brought many new content along with Kulve Taroth and a new quest mechanic. At the same time, it included some improvements that were enthusiastically received by the community.
The developers of Monster Hunter World caught us off guard this week with their second free DLC. The update was not even heavily announced. There was a trailer, and two days later the expansion was already here.
Capcom released this update at just the right time. The mood in Monster Hunter World had already been a bit flat over the past weeks, and players started to complain that there was nothing left to do. This all occurs in a new investigation that directly introduces a new quest system, the siege quest.
New siege quest for 16 players brings the community together
The 16 players can be a bit confusing. Hunters still play in groups of up to four players. In total, four groups of four can participate in the quest, but you only see your own four teammates.
Nevertheless, everyone works together on the progress of the quest. The achievements of other groups are displayed on your own screen. This could mean that the group managed to break parts of the Kulve Taroth or investigated traces of her.
The kicker is that it becomes easier to obtain good rewards when as many players as possible participate in the quest. Because everyone in the team earns points for various achievements, and the final score determines the quality of the loot.
It has indeed been observed that hunters have been looking for each other since the quest appeared to form a full team of 16. In special groups, players are searching, streamers are hosting events where they gather as many players as possible, and the social hub in the gathering place is usually filled with other players.
More than 300 new relic weapons can be obtained from the quest through a random system!
Together with the new siege quest, a new weapon system was also introduced. From the rewards of Kulve Taroth, hunters receive a random relic weapon that needs to be evaluated first. The stats of the individual weapons with the same name are always the same. They are not randomly generated.
A publicly available relic weapon spreadsheet shows that there are about 300 random weapons in this quest! The community is still busy collecting the weapons there. There may be many more hidden in the quest.
Each monster also has an armor set made from the body parts of the creatures. The armor from Kulve Taroth looks elegant and has quite strong stats and abilities. Of course, there is also a new Goldi armor for the cat companion.
New quality-of-life adjustments solve several problems – Players feel understood and heard
Especially well received in the community were the new quality-of-life features from Update 3.0. Many of the smaller wishes of players were implemented in this patch, for which some publicly thanked on forums like Reddit.
For example, a nerf to Flash Pods killed two birds with one stone: Especially the tempered Elder Dragons should provide a challenging fight, and many hunters found the battles with the particularly strong beasts not epic enough. Those who had enough Flash Pods in their pocket could simply throw them at the monsters and paralyze them.
With the nerf, the effectiveness of Flash Pods against tempered Elder Dragons becomes weaker with each use and ultimately fades. This aims to make the fights more exciting and eliminate the “spam strategy.”
In return, the drop rate of Thunder Stones from tempered Elder Dragons was increased. Players criticized the rarity of these stones as they are used to upgrade weapons and armor. However, it could take weeks to even obtain one of those stones.
Exactly through such adjustments, the developers signal to players that statements like “We are looking into the problem and thinking about solutions” are not empty words for them.
It should also be noted that Monster Hunter World is not a “games-as-a-service” title. It is not designed to be constantly refreshed with new content. However, Capcom has already brought quite a bit of new content to the game and earned a certain respect in the community.
