In Destiny 2, on July 17th, it is Weekly Reset again. The Faction Rally is live! The Prestige Raid Courses are starting. Additionally, new activities can now be tackled with the weekly reset. The weekly Crucible playlist is rotating again.
A new week dawns in the Destiny universe. And it brings a lot with it.
All who have already reached rank 50 with their chosen faction and snagged the best loot can now pledge allegiance to another faction if desired. Also, those who are dissatisfied with their previous choice can now try their luck with another group.
By the way: If you did not earn all faction-specific masterwork catalysts by the end of the last Season 3 Rally, don’t worry. These three exotic catalysts will also be available beyond Season 3.
The World-First race for the Prestige Raid courses begins: With Update 1.2.3, the Prestige versions of the two Leviathan raid courses “World Eater” and “Star Breach” have finally been introduced into the game today. To allow all Guardians an optimal race for the world’s first completion of a Prestige Raid course, the two Prestige passages start at different times:
World Eater Prestige mode starts on July 17, 2018 at 20:00
Star Breach Prestige mode follows on July 18, 2018 at 19:00
But let’s see what else this current week has to offer.

The following challenges need to be mastered:
Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths.

Not everything can get better. Cortyn experienced his first disappointment in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth: the zone Vol’dun.
After exploring the area Zuldazar in the beta of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth in the past few days, the next zone was on the agenda: Vol’dun.
Vol’dun is a vast desert that visually resembles a mix of Desolace and Uldum. Besides a lot of sand and rocks, there are a few troll pyramids and two new races: Vulpera and Sethrak.
Highlights: Fox and Snake
First of all: The Vulpera are not as “cuddly” as I feared. Their quests are actually quite interesting, and even though the fox beings seem a bit overenthusiastic, they fit well into the game world and are a solid addition.
The same goes for the Sethrak, the snake people who mainly act as antagonists in Vol’dun and have nearly taken control of the entire desert.
Both species are fitting and blend perfectly into the desert – whether as victims for their own abilities or as allies in battle.
And now we come to what is disappointing about Vol’dun: the story. For this, I have to spoil a bit, so you’ve been warned. The major conflict of Vol’dun is that the antagonists (the Sethrak) want to open an ancient pyramid that was sealed long ago. The key for this was split into three shards and given to different Sethrak.
The quest givers repeatedly say that the villain “poses a great danger even with just one keystone” – why? The whole time before it is claimed that all three keystones are absolutely necessary. Why is it suddenly so dangerous that the enemy Sethrak has another one?
Okay, I could overlook this small logic gap. But not the second one. Because our heroic crew seriously comes up with the idea to store both already obtained keystones in the same place and then leave that place.
Even when accepting the quest, I had to facepalm. You don’t have to be a genius to see what is about to happen. While the player leaves the two keystones behind to fetch the third, the villain comes by and snatches the other two keystones.
And that’s exactly how it happened. For the first time in a long time, I was really angry because the story was neither exciting nor well done. It was stupid. Our characters were stupid. Our allied NPCs were stupid.
The most disappointing area so far, ruined by the story
You weren’t cleverly outsmarted or sneakily tricked – you were simply dumb as a rock.
Even the supposedly exciting finale of the area, which once again revolves around the influences of the Old Gods, does not erase the bad feeling left after this unsatisfying outcome of the quests.
No, at the end of Vol’dun, I was disappointed and only happy about the fact that this zone was finally behind me. If Battle for Azeroth has a narrative weakness, it is the main questline of Vol’dun.
The update 1.2.3 for Destiny 2 can now be downloaded and installed. Bungie has now released the patch notes for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The update 1.2.3 for Destiny 2 is live. The patch is about 1,704 MB on PS4 and needs to be downloaded and installed so you can play Destiny 2 again. As no server downs are planned, you should be able to play right after the installation of the update.
Bungie has just released the official patch notes for update 1.2.3

We have compiled the best MMOs, MMORPGs, and online games for Apple’s iOS as of 2018. In doing so, we primarily check whether the free mobile games are really as cheap as they seem: Are they truly free-to-play? And how important are in-app purchases?
So that you know what is worthwhile on iOS devices like the iPhone or iPad, we have put together some of the best online games for Apple here and on the following pages of this article.
Note: The article was originally published in November 2017 and was completely revised in July 2018.

World of Tanks Blitz
World of Tanks is by Wargaming, the creators of the successful PC version with millions of registered players. There is also a successful mobile version of the tank MMO:World of Tanks Blitz.

Tank battles like on the PC: World of Tanks Blitz is similar to the PC version in terms of gameplay. You choose a tank from a wide selection of vehicles and compete in a team against an enemy player squad. The goal is to capture and hold mission objectives or completely destroy the enemy.
Tactics & Teamwork: To win, you fire your tanks at the opponent. This is easy and intuitive with the touchscreen. To succeed, you also need to approach it tactically and as a team on your mobile. Even a massive heavy tank can quickly go down if it is flanked and takes too many hits to its less well-protected side and rear sections.
The 2nd World War and more
Wide selection of tanks: World of Tanks Blitz offers you the full range of vehicles from before, during, and shortly after World War II. Since this period represented the peak of tank development, there are over 250 vehicles to choose from in World of Tanks Blitz.
The tanks are divided into four classes:
Light tanks are usually fast and agile, making them optimal for reconnaissance and capturing mission objectives. However, these small speedsters can quickly burst under fire.
Medium tanks are often fast, agile, well-armed, but only lightly armored. Therefore, they are wonderful for flanking attacks.
Heavy tanks are tough and difficult to damage from the front. They also have quite high firepower, but are usually quite sluggish. Such colossi belong directly on the front lines!
Tank destroyers are usually well camouflaged and low-profile. They have extremely powerful guns but lack a turret and can only fire in the direction of travel.
Tank Research
Is it all like on the PC? The artillery self-propelled gun class from the PC version is missing in World of Tanks Blitz. Long-range guns would unfortunately be hard to operate on the small screen of a smartphone.
All tanks are assigned a level (in English “Tier”) that ranges from early tanks at Tier 1 to post-war vehicles at Tier 10.
The Progress System: After each round, you earn experience points and credits based on your performance. With this, you research new modules for your tank and purchase them. In this way, a weakly armed tank can acquire a stronger gun or a better engine. Once you have researched a tank far enough, you can buy a vehicle of a higher tier.
What does it all cost?
World of Tanks Blitz is free2play and therefore has in-app purchases. This allows you to obtain the in-game currency Gold, for which you can get premium game time for more experience or special ammunition with more firepower. The ammunition is clearly an advantage in the game, but you can also purchase it at any time for credits.
Cool detail: World of Tanks Blitz is also available on Apple devices and now also on PC. If you like, you can even play cross-platform, although PC players have clear advantages thanks to the larger screen and mouse control.
If you want to play World of Tanks Blitz, you can find it under the specified link in the App Store.
On Page Two continue with the top iOS games. This time featuring an extremely popular card game from an even more popular online RPG world!

The emerging MMORPG Seed has received another large financial boost. Investors are eager to invest in the new MMORPG from Berlin. The wonder technology SpatialOS also plays a role. Are we expecting the step into the MMORPG future with Seed?
Almost 14 million dollars in capital: The studio behind the upcoming MMORPG Seed, Klang Games, has relied on substantial support from investors. Apparently, this has paid off: Currently, the studio has capital of 13.95 million dollars available. This amounts to about 11.95 million euros.
The Berlin studio can achieve a lot
Klang Games is a studio founded by former developers from large and well-known companies. The founders previously worked on games like EVE Online and Dust 514, bringing significant experience with them. The studio was originally founded in Iceland, then moved to Berlin.
Investors also see the potential in Klang Games. Among other things, through a fund from “Makers Fund”, where large companies pool money for young companies, Klang Games secured 5 million dollars in the first round. Now, in the second round, an additional 8.95 million dollars will be added to the capital for Seed.
Seed – A feeling of embarking into the future: The CEO of Klang Games, Mundi Vondi, believes that Seed will play a significant role in the next generation of social simulations. The studio appreciates the trust and wants to approach the project correctly.
Seed is an MMORPG and a simulation where players must manage a colony. The game runs on the SpatialOS by Improbable. It continues in real-time even when players are offline. The cloud technology allows for significantly more power, creating a vast world that is meant to feel alive.
“Klang has everything”: The experienced investors expect a bright future for the studio and the game. The ideas and technologies from Klang are those that have already been called the technology of the future in many places.
In a statement, Northzone partner Paul Murphy commented: “Klang has everything you want as an early investor – a massive vision, an experienced team, and an incredible preview of the product. We are thrilled to be a partner of the team and help bring Seed to market.”

In Fortnite, the possible challenges for week 2 of season 5 have been leaked. Data miners have found promising hints in the code regarding the new challenges.
Leak from data mining: Data miners have extracted and analyzed the current data from the code of Fortnite. The suspected challenges for week 2 have come to light. Currently, there seem to be no masking tactics from Epic. The challenges all sound quite plausible.
Season 5, Week 2 – The 7 Tasks of the Week!
Not only with the season pass: In season 5, it is now common that some challenges can be completed without a battle pass. There are three tasks that can be done without the pass. However, the remaining four challenges are only available if you purchase the pass. Additionally, the extra reward of 5,000 XP is tied to completing 4 of the 7 weekly tasks.
These are the 3 free tasks:
Deal damage to opponents with assault rifles (1,000): This task is easy to complete. Assault rifles are optimal weapons, and it shouldn’t be hard to inflict 1,000 damage with them.
Search ammo boxes in the same match (7): This task should also be easy to solve. 7 ammo crates are easy to find if you live long enough and search a bit off the usual loot paths.
Eliminate opponents at Paradise Palms – HARD (3): The standard kill challenge. Paradise Palms is quite large and offers a lot of loot. This should be doable.
These 4 tasks are only available in the Battle Pass:
Score baskets on different basketball hoops (5): You will probably need the basketball toy to complete this task.
Search chests in Loot Lake (7): If you land early in the central villa, you might be able to grab more chests. But overall, the place is rather scarce.
Search between an oasis, a rock arch, and dinosaurs – HARD (3): This treasure is likely hidden at Paradise Palms. There are at least Dinos and oases there.
Eliminate opponents with sniper rifles – HARD (2): Sniper rifles are still not easy to handle. The challenge could become tricky if you are not a good sniper.
Each of these weekly tasks gives you 5 stars in the season 5 Battle Pass. For the hard challenges, you even get 10 stars and thus a guaranteed level in the pass!
More info on Thursday
Attention, data mining! Keep in mind that there may still be incorrect information, as data mining is never 100 percent secure. What exactly challenges await you in the 2nd week of season 5 will likely be revealed on Thursday around 10:00 AM. We will write guides and articles about the challenges as soon as possible, as usual.
The impending death of Cayde-6 in Forsaken seems to have deeply affected the Guardians. Many players even cursed the Hunter leader at the start of Destiny 2.
Players of Destiny 2 have experienced an emotional rollercoaster with Cayde-6: The Hunter leader became incredibly popular with the Destiny 1 expansion “The Taken King”. However, in Destiny 2, his ongoing humor began to grate on some Guardians. Cayde’s impending death in Forsaken seems to have changed the mood in the community once again.
Popular Character in Destiny 1
Vanguards with little depth: The three Vanguard leaders, Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Cayde-6, were mostly there in Destiny 1 to assign quests and distribute rewards to players. Even then, the Hunter leader Cayde distinguished himself with his little jokes, which provided a nice contrast to the more serious figures of Zavala and Ikora.
The star in the expansion: In the first major expansion for Destiny 1, The Taken King, Cayde’s role was expanded. His escapades accompanied the Guardians throughout the expansion and lightened the serious theme of the addon, the fight against the Hive god Oryx.
Players enjoyed the new Cayde, who always had a joke on his lips and didn’t take himself too seriously. The Hunter became a “comic relief,” a device that lightens serious situations with humor. At the time, it was exactly what Destiny needed, and players gladly accepted the character’s new direction.
Overly Present in Destiny 2?
Cayde also the star in Destiny 2: Bungie continued with Cayde-6 as the jokester in the sequel Destiny 2. However, the circumstances were different: Right from the start, a new enemy appeared, who was supposed to represent the ultimate threat to the Guardians and the Last City of humanity. However, this grim situation was quickly stifled.
Cayde himself made fun of the villain Ghaul in promotional videos for Destiny 2 even before its release, so he is still known in the community as “Gary.” The entire PR of Destiny 2 seemed designed around Cayde-6 and his antics.
Too much humor in the game: This situation continued in the game, as Cayde had a seemingly funny response to every problem. Too much for some players, who accused Bungie of simply taking away the Hunter’s character from Destiny 1 and increasing the humor factor by 100 percent. Inappropriate for many who had hoped for a serious and tragic theme in Destiny 2.
Soon, Cayde became the subject of many discussions in the Destiny subreddit. He was said to be too annoying with the new game, ruining the tragic mood of Destiny 2, or his jokes felt “forced.” Many players had become tired of Cayde.
Forsaken Changes the Mood Again
Players want to hold on to Cayde: After the story trailer for Forsaken, which shows the presumed death of Cayde at the hands of Uldren Sov, the community was shaken. Apparently forgotten were the times when Cayde’s jokes were “too embarrassing, too forced.” Suddenly, players couldn’t get enough of the Hunter and wanted to savor every remaining moment.

They built him a shrine at E3, took screenshots with him in Destiny 2, and are already planning their revenge on his murderers. Some even doubt whether Cayde is really dead and stays dead, even though Bungie keeps insisting it. Even the actor Nathan Fillion, who voices Cayde-6 in the English original, doubts that the Hunter will say goodbye in the upcoming addon.
Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) received a small mini-patch for Update 5.0. The update includes a new weapon for Battle Royale and one for Save the World. We show you the patch notes in German.
Small patch with a big punch: Today, on 17.07.2018, a new patch for Update 5.0 of Fortnite was released. It included the SMG as the “new” weapon. The submachine gun was removed from the game months ago, but it is back now.
In exchange, another submachine gun was temporarily removed, and the semi-automatic sniper rifle received a significant buff.
The “new” SMG in Fortnite: Battle Royale
What can the new submachine gun do? The submachine gun (SMG, Submachinegun) has been in the game before but was removed in February. Now it is back in an updated form:
Damage: 19 – 21 base damage
Ammunition type: Light ammunition
Magazine: 30 shots
Rarity: Common to Rare
Locations: Ground and chests
What is special about the SMG? The SMG is described by Epic as particularly good for close combat. It could turn out to be the optimal weapon alongside the Tommy Gun for the new, dynamic gameplay of Season 5.
Was there another weapon change? Fans of sniper rifles can be happy. The semi-automatic sniper rifle has been buffed. The damage has increased from 65/66 to a respectable 75/78 points.
Old submachine gun is stored in the Vault
Which weapon was removed? To avoid having too many submachine guns, the tactical submachine gun was temporarily removed. The developers described it as “added to the vault” in the patch notes.
What is the vault? In English, the term for vault is “Vault”. It is NOT an existing room full of submachine guns that can be found somewhere in the game world.
Tommy Gun now also in Save the World
What’s new in the PvE mode? In the Save the World mode, there is now also the Tommy Gun known from PvP as the “Rat-a-tat Assault Rifle” available from July 18 to July 25, 2018, in the weekly shop.
Additionally, you can get the entire game for half price until July 30, 2018. If you don’t have Save the World yet, now is a good opportunity.

Will there ever be a sequel to the Warcraft movie? The director deems it unlikely that there will be a Warcraft movie part 2, pointing to the large companies as the culprits.
The Warcraft movie is considered by many fans as a milestone in the history of video game adaptations. Nevertheless, the film could not meet the high expectations and production costs in many countries – especially not in America. Still, many World of Warcraft fans continue to hope for a sequel and are pressing the director Duncan Jones on Twitter for a statement.
When Jones published a small video on Twitter pondering new film ideas, a user noted “That’s not a Warcraft Sequel!” expressing his sorrow.
Jones responded, “I know. I’m sorry. And I fear that it’s also not very likely. Too many companies are involved to be able to create that.”
Too many cooks spoil the broth. This criticism has repeatedly been voiced by Jones in the past. When creating Warcraft: The Beginning, he was influenced by multiple parties, preventing him from showcasing the vision of Azeroth he had envisioned. Thus, the outlook for a possible sequel seems grim.
For those who liked the first Warcraft movie, it’s better not to expect a sequel any time soon.
Fans hope for Arthas story. The story revolving around Arthas Menethil and his rise to the Lich King is the most popular among fans – essentially the entire story of Warcraft 3. Many players were disappointed that Blizzard did not start with this story and believe that the Warcraft movie would have been much more successful had it focused on Arthas.
Do you wish for a continuation of the Warcraft movie? Or were you so disappointed by the first film that there shouldn’t be a second? What story do you think a sequel should address?

A psychologist specialized in gaming has an explanation for the big success of Fortnite: It is probably due to the randomness in loot!
A massive success: Fortnite: Battle Royale is among the most successful games in the world. Since its launch in July 2017, around 125 million players have signed up for the battle royale title. Millions of players are online every day at any time, battling it out in intense fights.
There are many reasons for the success: The game is technically solid, regularly brings new content, appeals to many fans with its comic graphics, and has an extremely fair Free2Play system. But is that enough for success?
The true reason for the success
The psychologist has the answer: However, all of the reasons mentioned above are secondary, according to Dr. Jamie Madigan. The trained psychologist conducts research in the field of “Psychology in Games” and publishes his findings on his blog. There he explains what he believes is the true reason for the success of Fortnite.
Random rewards are better: According to Dr. Madigan, the great appeal of Fortnite lies in the rewards. He does not mean the fixed rewards from the Battle Pass. These can be easily predicted and planned. While this is a motivating goal for people, in reality, random rewards in the game are far more enticing.
Every round tempts with success
Our brain wants random loot: In his blog, the psychologist further explains why the random loot is so motivating for humans. The human brain is particularly good at recognizing and analyzing patterns:
We are always enticed by the prospect of unforeseen deviations from the expected. The reward effect in the brain then becomes even greater.
Predictable rewards, on the other hand, would soon become boring.
Randomness makes every match in Fortnite a little different
Fortnite is always a big random generator: And this is precisely where Fortnite comes in. Not only are the chests in the game a huge random generator that might contain a golden SCAR or just a mere gray pistol. The whole game is something new every time, which can be partially planned, but ultimately presents deviations and random events.
One more round, then I’ll surely have better luck!
Moments of luck and misfortune: In Fortnite, you never quite know what will happen next and whether luck is on your side:
The bus sometimes flies awkwardly over places that don’t suit you
With some bad luck, many more opponents drop over an area than you actually expected
Sometimes you get lucky and find top gear right at the start of the game
Sometimes an opponent ambushes you stealthily, while at other times you get an easy kill
It may also happen that two enemies take each other out hard, allowing you to make a targeted shot and feast on tons of loot!
A loot llama can cross your path at any time, then you won’t have to go gather anything.
A mix of randomness and planning: Fortnite seems to strike a good balance between randomness and (perceived) planability. Because when you go down, the explanation often is, “If I had a better weapon, it would have turned out differently” or “If only I had gone south instead of north, I won’t go there next time!”
This motivates Fortnite to always try again. If it goes better then, the motivation for more matches increases. You want to repeat what you just experienced and are willing to take more defeats in return.
The motivating randomness factor is thus, according to Jamie Madigan, the big secret of Fortnite’s success.
There has apparently been a bug in The Division for some time now, often attributed to hackers. This bug is indeed serious and can ruin the PvP experience. The community is demanding that Massive fix this bug.
The Division has never really had it easy. Especially in the first year, the online shooter was plagued by bugs and thus alienated parts of the community. Things are looking better now: Returnees and newcomers are increasingly finding their way back to Manhattan. Unfortunately, not everything is flawless yet.
The PvP has some issues: Console players are still struggling with the abuse of Cronus Max. Massive still has no solution for this. Helper posts still cannot be placed near walls, and other players sometimes become invisible right in front of your eyes.
However, there is another bug that has apparently existed for several months, and its cause has been mistakenly attributed to unstable servers, cheaters, and hackers.
YouTuber MarcoStyle calls this bug the “Running in Place” bug:

The “Running in Place” bug has been causing trouble for months
This bug makes players perform a moonwalk while they are actually in motion. The bug occurs so frequently that a large portion of the players attributed it to the servers and even hackers.
We advise against exploiting this and therefore will not provide instructions on how to use this bug. Nevertheless, it is important to know that some “What the…” moments in recent months may have been caused by this bug.
What causes this bug? A specific constellation related to status effects and the use of immunizer helper posts causes a kind of desynchronization between your client and the server.
Basically, for a short time, two models of your character emerge: One that you see yourself and a second that other players see on the server. This desynchronization lasts as long as a specific status effect lasts. So if you are under an EMP effect, this desynchronization effect can last up to 12 seconds. As soon as the server detects the problem, it tries to “catch up” on what happened during this period of desynchronization.
The consequences of this bug can be severe: Affected players often think they are in cover while they are still running in place on the server. During this time, they are vulnerable and practically defenseless.
If a player moves far enough away, the game tries to “catch up”. To your opponent, you are invulnerable during this time until the two models are synchronized by the server again.
If the bug occurs while you are in cover, you can run towards your opponents and deal damage while your model continues to perform a moonwalk behind cover and shoots through the walls at them.
This bug creates so many strange situations that anyone who doesn’t know what’s going on must immediately think of hackers and cheaters. However, this has probably been a bug that is quite easy to trigger for some time.
Is Massive doing anything about this bug?
The “Running in Place” bug has been under analysis for over 4 months. Members of the development team even responded to the Reddit post at the time. So far, nothing has been done to fix this bug. Therefore, MarcoStyle created this video to draw attention to it again.
With the ongoing development of The Division 2, it is better to put pressure on the developers and at least make sure that this bug does not make it into the second part.
On Reddit, there is now another post discussing this bug. Furthermore, the Creative Director of Massive, Julian Gerighty, responded via Twitter:

Gerighty would look into it and forward the problem to lead designers. He himself is currently not in the office, so it will take a while.
We hope that there will be a timely solution. After all, this bug has been known for some time. Fixing it would eliminate some annoying issues in PvP. Although there are still other issues, such as Cronus Max, with which the PvP area of The Division is struggling, it would still be a significant improvement.

Pre-orders for the PC version of Monster Hunter: World on Steam are already in full swing, catapulting the game to the top of the Steam sales charts for the week of July 9th to 15th. This pushes the monster hunting game ahead of the long-standing PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds).
There are less than a month left until PC players will also get to enjoy Monster Hunter World: Starting August 9th, the game will be available on Steam and is already demonstrating through sales figures how highly sought after it is.
After success on consoles, the PC follows
Capcom’s most successful game: Although there are no official numbers yet, it can be assumed that the PC version of Monster Hunter: World enjoys high pre-order volumes. No wonder: On consoles, the game has sold nearly 8 million copies worldwide and is considered Capcom’s most successful title.
This is reflected in the weekly Steam charts.
Sales charts for the week of July 9th to 15th:
Monster Hunter: World
PUBG
Island of Nyne: Battle Royale

The big 8.0 update for World of Warcraft is coming. We will tell you what you need to do urgently after the patch.
The times of World of Warcraft: Legion are over. Starting next Wednesday morning (July 18, 2018), patch 8.0.1 will be active, bringing all the major changes for the expansion Battle for Azeroth. Since there are numerous adjustments, we want to give you a few ideas to make the transition into the new WoW era easier.
Familiarize yourself with your class!
What sounds like a truism is actually quite important. The pre-patch has fundamentally changed and revised many abilities of all classes. Some spells, such as the Void Eruption for Shadow Priests, now have completely different effects. Many former effects of artifact weapons are now a fixed part of the classes and have become passive bonuses that you can look up in your spell book.
Particularly noticeable is the overhaul of the talents. Effects from legendary items from Legion can be found there as well as completely new talents.
Moreover, many classes have regained their buffs. Priests can distribute stamina buffs again and mages can again increase the intelligence of their teammates. Use these spells and drag them into your action bar!
A close look at all your characters is worthwhile, as the playstyle may have changed dramatically.
With patch 8.0, the Legacy Loot System is also active. This means that in dungeons and raids that are 10 levels below your current level, you will receive more loot on average.
So if you go to farm transmog gear in the Scarlet Monastery, all bosses will now leave 1-2 items instead of 0-1. This also includes items that do not actually belong to your loot specialization. Did you always want that fancy transmog from the agility cloak that you could never get as a priest? That will now be different, as the cloak can drop just like any other loot from the boss.
The fight for Teldrassil must wait
However, if you were already looking forward to traveling to the Barrens and setting fire to the world tree Teldrassil at Darkshore, you will have to wait a bit longer. The corresponding quests will only begin next week, starting from July 25, 2018. Until then, players have time to familiarize themselves with the rest of the new mechanics.
Have you already prepared for the pre-patch and found out how your class will play? Or are you just going to be surprised?

Flash and smoke grenades are added – To provide more tactical options, you can use flash and smoke grenades, which are also shown to you in the video.
New weapons – Look forward to using new weapons in combat again.
ID armbands and more – Also new are ID armbands, through which players can presumably identify themselves, as well as several other features that the team will discuss further.
No release date. The development team has not yet announced a release date for update 0.9 of the online shooter Escape from Tarkov. However, fans should keep their eyes peeled. As soon as the date is set, it will be announced through the social channels of the game.

Nathan Fillion no longer voices Cayde-6 in the expansion Forsaken for Destiny 2 however, the voice actor still does not believe in the definitive death of the Hunter Leader.
When the first gameplay footage of Destiny 2: Forsaken surfaced, many fans immediately noticed that something was off with the English voice of Cayde. It didn’t sound like the original – voiced by Nathan Fillion. At this point, some already feared that Fillion might be done with Forsaken. And they were right.
Nolan North replaces Nathan Fillion as the English voice of Cayde-6
Fillion is not the English voice of Cayde in Forsaken: During the promotion of his new Uncharted short film, Fillion confirmed that he would not be lending his voice to Cayde in the Forsaken expansion. He was neither involved in the Forsaken promotional material nor in the Autumn expansion. “I was not available for Forsaken. It’s not me speaking as Cayde-6,” Fillion said.
The studio and the voice actor are not parting on bad terms – even though it might seem obvious to some that Bungie would not want to book its probably most expensive voice from Destiny 2 for a brief appearance for financial reasons. Fillion said he loves Cayde-6. However, due to his busy schedule, he was simply unable to participate in the project by the set deadline.
Fillion open to future projects: Nathan Fillion expressed his openness to potential future collaborations. He loves Cayde-6 and would be excited to work with Activision again – for example, on a prequel, that is, Cayde 1-5.
Even if that probably won’t happen, it shows that this does not necessarily mean the definitive end of collaboration between Fillion and Bungie. However, whether and in what role he might return is currently a matter of speculation.
Who voices Cayde in Forsaken? Fillion also addressed this question: “It’s a bit heartbreaking. But fortunately, it’s Nolan North. If the voice is going to someone else, then thankfully it’s someone I and the fans love. The character is in good hands,” said the departing voice of Cayde-6.
Nolan North already voices the Ghost in the English version of Destiny 2.
Fillion does not believe in the definitive death of Cayde: When asked about the upcoming death of Cayde-6, the voice actor said: “What do I think about Cayde-6? I love him dearly. What do I think about him dying? Personally, I don’t believe in that. He’s a Guardian. So he should be able to come back. I mean, that’s what Guardians do – they come back, right? It’s all about resurrection.”
As mentioned, Fillion did not work on Forsaken. So his statements should not be considered potential spoilers, but rather personal speculations from an outsider.
Are you disappointed that Cayde gets a different English voice for the final moments before his death? Do you think Nolan North is a worthy replacement for Nathan Fillion?

Until recently, the PC was still the number one gaming platform in Germany. But now the smartphone has narrowly surpassed it. Germany loves to play on mobile.
The new top gaming platform: According to a study and press release from “game – Verband der Deutschen Games Branche”, the number of users on smartphones as a gaming platform has massively increased in just one year. A total of around 18.2 million users are said to regularly reach for their smartphones when they want to play a game. This marks an increase of 900,000 players and a growth of 5 percent compared to the previous year.
PC no longer in the top position
What about the PC? The PC was until now the primary gaming platform in the Federal Republic. However, smartphones now have well over a million more players. The PC registered only 17.3 million players in the data collection.
Consoles are doing well: Another winner in the survey were the consoles. PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch are used by 16 million players. Thus, they were able to reach 200,000 more users (1 percent) than in 2017.
Tablets unchanged: However, the number of players on tablets has not changed significantly. They are still used by 11.5 million players, clearly placing them at the bottom.
A total of 34.3 million people play in Germany. Of these, 47 percent are women and 53 percent are men. The average age of gamers in Germany rose to over 36 years in 2018.
Apps reach new players
People who have never played: However, the numbers do not necessarily imply that the PC is no longer of interest. Rather, many new gamers have come in due to the now extremely powerful smartphones, who had nothing to do with consoles or PCs in terms of gaming.
“Games are becoming increasingly popular. The smartphone particularly reaches many people who previously had little or nothing to do with gaming, thanks to its wide distribution and low entry barriers,” says Felix Falk, managing director of “game”. “The growing variety of gaming platforms with millions of audiences is also important for indie developers: with small budgets and great creativity, they are captivating more and more people with their bold and surprising game ideas.”
German games market breaks 3 billion euro barrier
The market is booming: Overall, the German market for games and related hardware grew by 15 percent to over 3.3 billion euros in 2017. This is the first time that the 3 billion euro barrier has been crossed.
Mobile apps clearly leading: As expected, one of the largest growth drivers remains gaming for smartphones and tablets: in 2017, revenues from gaming apps in Germany grew to 497 million euros.
App revenue nearly doubled: This is an increase of 21 percent compared to 2016 (409 million euros). Thus, revenue from gaming apps in 2017 grew significantly stronger than the entire German gaming market and has more than doubled since 2014 (241 million euros).
Where do the data come from? The data used are based on surveys from the GfK Consumer Panels, GfK Entertainment, and GfK POS Measurement.
