Information on Winter Upgrades in Ultimate Team
What are winter upgrades: Since the standard cards in FUT 19 have remained unchanged since release, but many players have performed better in the recent months, the winter upgrades will enhance the standard cards of many players.
After this “ratings refresh” only the new, updated cards of the respective players can be found in the sets.
New cards replace old ones in packs: As soon as the winter upgrade cards appear, they can be drawn in the sets. The only requirement is that the set can contain players. The “old” cards of the respective players will no longer be found in the sets from that moment on.
What happens to my old card? If you already own a card of a player who is getting upgraded, this will remain unchanged. It will not be automatically updated. If you want the card of the player with improved attributes, you have to draw it from a set.
It is also possible to purchase the winter upgrade cards from other players on the transfer market.
MMORPGs have been around for a long time, and the genre has changed significantly over the years. We present six things that probably only old MMORPG players know.
1. PvP with Full Loot
What is it? PvP is still known today. However, games like Ultima Online offered a special form of it. If you got into a fight with another player, you risked losing your entire equipment. The victor could loot the body of the defeated and take everything they wanted.
In Ultima Online, PvP with Full Loot nearly led to the game’s demise.
Why is it not around today? It takes a long time to acquire good equipment in an MMORPG. Losing it in a fight can be frustrating. Players are thrown back repeatedly. Today, gamers also place great value on defining themselves through their equipment. It needs to be as epic and cool as possible. Losing these identifiers is too “hard” for many players.
Players were not keen on losing everything, which is why even back then, people left Ultima Online, and a new server with more lenient PvP rules had to be introduced.
Do players wish for this system to return? There are indeed MMO fans who desire more risk and thus more reward in the game. Furthermore, PvP battles often represent a good endgame element. Players enjoy measuring themselves against others. And for that, they want corresponding rewards. However, full loot goes too far for many.

The Wizard Javelin Storm can control the elements in Anthem and unleash them with destructive force upon his enemies. You will learn how to best use his power and what to watch out for in this guide with a build suggestion for the Storm.
The “Space Wizard” uses the elements of fire, ice, and lightning to dominate the battlefield from above. Storm pilots float exceptionally long in the air thanks to his unique technology.

Overview
Advantages
Disadvantages
Extremely long hovering duration
Disadvantaged on the ground
Gains additional shield in the air
Delayed shield recharge
Abilities have a large radius
No access to acid effects
Teleport evade maneuver
Only usable in intervals
Ideal for:
Players who enjoy attacking from the air
Players who primarily want to use abilities
Players who want to maintain overview during the chaos
Players striving for a “power fantasy”
This is what makes the Storm: The Storm is the perfect combination of destruction and elegance. Its unique appearance is mainly due to the seals on its arms, originally designed by the enemy faction “Dominion”. This Javelin can act as (air) support but can also deal large area damage.
Additionally, the Storm has a unique evade skill that allows the Javelin to teleport over a short distance. However, this maneuver can only be activated in intervals.
What are the abilities of the Storm? This Javelin has a wide range of elemental attacks that can cause explosions or be fired as projectiles. Therefore, it can be referred to as a “force of nature”.
With the seals on its arms, the Storm can attack in various ways. This includes fireballs, ice spikes, and various shock explosions.
Furthermore, it has support skills that allow it to shield itself from fine-grained attacks or support its teammates.
Its ultimate ability is particularly impressive: the Storm rains down multiple meteor-like elemental attacks that cause massive area damage upon impact.
Build Tip for Quick Leveling
The Storm has a variety of offensive attack options that can be combined. We have created a “build” for you that will help you level up efficiently at the start of the game:
What can this build do? With this configuration, you should progress effortlessly. The Ice Storm completely freezes affected enemies, rendering them immobile. You can prepare your combo on single targets with fireballs, thus creating multiple combos in succession.
The Acceleration Field helps you use your abilities as often as possible. This is the ideal method to familiarize yourself with the abilities of the Storm and learn the combo system. Don’t forget that you can also charge your fireball attack.
How to Play the Storm
With this Javelin, you should stay in the air as often and as long as possible. Your additional shield is only active during hover mode, so you should avoid spending too much time on the ground.
From above, you have a better idea of where your abilities will hit exactly and where enemies are located. This way, you can support your teammates remotely with combos while fully utilizing the Storm’s potential.
If your regular shield is depleted from enemy fire, it takes a short while to recharge. Compared to the other Javelins, the Storm recovers somewhat slower from a “shield break”. Therefore, try at all costs to maintain both of your shields at all times.
What role does the Storm play in a team? As Storm pilots, your gear determines your role in combat. Depending on your build, you can either prepare different enemy groups for combos or trigger them yourself with high effectiveness.
With the large reach of its abilities, you can apply a status effect to many enemies simultaneously. By “priming” these enemies, you can then trigger a combo attack by responding with a “detonator ability”.
This is how combos work: By successfully combining a Primer ability and a Detonator ability, you achieve increased combo damage and can wipe out entire groups of enemies with just one hit.
Due to the wide area of effect of its abilities, the Storm proves to be an ideal combo starter in a team. By equipping two Primer abilities, you can prioritize specific targets for your team and apply a status effect like burn or freeze.
This strategy allows your team to clear the battlefield with ease.
On the other hand, you can also equip two Detonator abilities and deal devastating damage across the battlefield with successful combo attacks. However, for this strategy, you need at least one team member whose abilities are designed to prepare combo attacks.
Due to the Storm’s passive ability, this Javelin is excellent as a double detonator, as it deals massive damage while distributing elemental status effects to enemies.
How to play the Storm solo? Of course, you can also trigger your combos yourself. This configuration is extremely helpful for solo players, as you are not dependent on your teammates with this build.
The Storm’s abilities are quite powerful, so your focus should be on taking as little damage as possible. Since this Javelin is a “glass cannon”, you should master your teleport maneuver and use it with good timing.
If you need to land during a battle, use your melee ability to knock back approaching enemies with just one strike.
The Abilities of the Storm
These are the customizable ability slots:
Blast Seal
Focus Seal
Enhancement Seal
Components
In Anthem, each Javelin can be equipped with various modifications and abilities. Which ones you choose is your personal decision. Here, you can distinguish between Primers, Detonators, and neutral abilities.
Components, on the other hand, provide passive bonuses and are not manually activatable effects.
What should you pay attention to in the team? Before you start an expedition, you should discuss with your teammates who wants to take which role. This way, you can decide which gear is most suitable.
If your teammate is, for example, an Interceptor who can detonate combos with their melee, it is advisable to bring at least one Primer ability. On the other hand, if paired with a “priming” Colossus, strong Detonator attacks are more suitable.
Blast Seal
What is the Blast Seal? The Blast Seal includes the more explosive attacks of the Storm. This includes abilities that achieve a large area of effect or deal a lot of damage in a short time.
Which Blast Seals are particularly good? “Living Flame” and “Lightning Strike” are particularly effective.
What can the Living Flame? With this ability, the Storm fires an explosive fireball that tracks targets and applies a fire status effect upon contact.
Since this ability is a Primer ability, you can prioritize enemies for your team. Primers prepare combos. Additionally, the targeting helps to hit hard-to-reach enemies that hide behind objects or cover with a good chance.
What can the Lightning Strike? The Lightning Strike is a Detonator and causes high lightning damage over a large area. Detonators trigger a combo.
This lightning attack is very good for solo players to detonate their own attacks, as the lightning strikes relatively quickly and can hit many enemies hard. With a successful combo, the lightning status effect spreads to nearby enemies, dealing even more damage.
Focus Seal
Which Focus Seals are particularly good? As the ice status effect is currently quite potent, “Frost Shards” and “Glacier Spear” are effective options for this slot.
What do the Frost Shards do? With this ability, the Storm fires rapid ice shards that deal ice damage and freeze individual targets upon repeated hits.
This is a Primer ability. The ice status effect temporarily immobilizes affected enemies, preventing them from moving. Therefore, you can optimally use your melee ability to trigger a quick combo.
Since the affected enemy is immobilized, you nullify the risk of being hit by them.
What does the Glacier Spear do? The Glacier Spear fires a powerful beam of ice energy in the targeted direction.
This ability is a quite strong Detonator that spreads the ice status effect to surrounding enemies upon a successful combo. This allows you to precisely detonate remote single targets and save your teammates from tricky situations.
Neutral Attacks
What are neutral attacks? Abilities such as “Bow Explosion” are neither Primers nor Detonators. However, they have higher base damage and do not rely on combos.
What does the Bow Explosion do? With this attack, the Javelin releases an electrical charge that jumps to nearby targets and deals heavy damage.
This ability is particularly suitable for enemies that have shields. Since enemy shields are particularly vulnerable to electricity, the Bow Explosion, with its high base damage, offers the best way to destroy them.
Enhancement Seal
What Enhancement Seals are available? Here, the Storm has two options. A defensive ability called “Wind Wall” and a supportive ability named “Acceleration Field”.
What does the Wind Wall do? With this ability, the Storm creates a transparent wall of wind that deflects enemy projectiles. Moreover, all allies can shoot through it and hit enemies behind.
With the Wind Wall, a Storm pilot can temporarily neutralize heavy enemies or turrets and provide crucial fire protection to other members from a distance.
What does the Acceleration Field do? This ability creates a spherical field that appears at your current position and reduces the cooldown of all equipped abilities for allied players within the radius. After leaving the field, the effect persists for a few seconds.
The Acceleration Field allows Storm pilots to spam their abilities against enemies. This support skill is particularly effective at dealing targeted damage against heavy single targets or bosses.
As many team members as possible should benefit from the effect; therefore, the correct placement of this ability is one of the most important factors to consider.
Melee Ability
How does the melee work? In “Fiery Strike”, the Storm uses his seals to perform a flaming thrust attack with his palm. This attack can push back affected enemies.
What is the Fiery Strike suitable for? Since this melee acts as a Detonator, you can use it to activate a combo on single targets if no Detonator ability is currently available.
Furthermore, you can combine this attack with your evade maneuver to link the teleportation effect with the melee and execute an unpredictable blow.
Ultimate Ability
This is how the ultimate ability works: In “Elemental Storm”, the Storm summons several powerful elemental attacks, including meteorites that crash down on enemies in succession.
What makes the Elemental Storm so special? This ability consists of a sequence of Primer and Detonator attacks.
Due to this special property, this ultimate creates combos autonomously with every activation and can thus be activated directly without preparation.
How do I build the ultimate ability? Your ability bar charges up with successful combos. However, this only applies to combos that you detonate yourself and not the detonations of other players.
Passive Ability
This passive ability belongs to the Storm: This Javelin distributes elemental status effects to all enemies in the vicinity upon successful combos.
This passive ability is optimal for the Storm, as its elemental attacks already have a large range. With this additional effect, your combos become even more effective and reach even more enemies.
Moreover, this passive ability makes life significantly easier for your teammates and gives your group a significant advantage in the endgame.
Alternative Storm Build for Melee
This is why we recommend this build: Since there are countless ways to effectively use the Storm at range, we have thought of a more unconventional build. This variant offers a refreshing alternative and is also a powerful aid for your team.
If you are already fit enough for the endgame in Anthem, we also have an alternative endgame build for you that specializes in ranged combat. There, we focus on masterwork equipment and explain how to use it correctly. This way, the Storm can easily handle the Grandmaster difficulty levels.
Ice Storm (Primer): Places targeted ice fields that create small ice explosions and freeze enemies.
Shock Explosion (Primer): Releases a projectile of electrical energy that bounces off walls and seeks enemies.
Wind Wall: Creates a defensive wall of wind that deflects enemy projectiles.
Components
Component 1: Elemental Synergy
Component 2: Elemental Empowerment
Component 3: Elemental Channeling
Component 4: Melee Inscription
Component 5: Shield Enhancement
Component 6: Armor Enhancement
How to Use This Melee Build
Why is this build good in melee? With this configuration, the main focus of the Storm is priming, i.e., preparing enemies for combos. To do this, you use the melee attack as your only Detonator. The components ensure that you deliver better hits.
This is the procedure: With this build, you should not move too far away from the battlefield unless you have a specific teammate who detonates combos for you. A detonating Colossus with the ability “Battle Cry” would be the best partner for this configuration.
If you are out solo, you should stay close to the ground more often to collect health orbs at any time. Unlike standard Storm builds, your focus here is on the melee attack “Fiery Strike”. For this reason, you need to adjust your playstyle somewhat to be successful with this composition.
Once you see an enemy, you can hit them with the Primer ability of your choice. The Ice Storm is perfect for small groups of enemies. The Shock Explosion is suitable for single targets and enemies with a shield system. After you have applied a status effect to any enemies, you can teleport to them and detonate them with a quick “high-five”.
This is what a successful melee combo looks like
After that, you can finish the rest with your weapons, or you can take another round in the air and wait for your abilities to be available again.
In doing so, you should mainly focus on the Ice Storm, as it has a better area of effect and can freeze affected enemies immediately. This reduces the risk of being hit on the ground and also simplifies triggering combo attacks, as frozen enemies become automatically immobile.
If it gets too hot on the ground, the Wind Wall will protect you from enemy fire. With this support ability, you can calmly prime your opponents while being safely shielded. At the right moment, you can dash forward and give them the rest with a face punch.
However, the effectiveness of the Wind Wall quickly diminishes in the Grandmaster difficulty levels, so you should consider the other option, the Acceleration Field, for more challenging activities. However, for this build, the Wind Wall is the much more suitable choice.
This is what the components do:
Elemental Synergy (1): Increases gear damage but lowers the recharge rate of gear.
Elemental Empowerment (2): Increases the recharge rate of gear but lowers gear damage.
Elemental Channeling (3): Increases elemental damage but lowers physical damage.
Melee Inscription (4): Increases damage from melee weapons.
Shield Enhancement (5): Significantly increases the shield of the Javelin.
Armor Enhancement (6): Significantly increases the armor of the Javelin.
What the components bring in the melee build
Thanks to Elemental Synergy (1) and Elemental Empowerment (2), your two abilities ultimately receive 30% more damage and 30% faster recharge time. Since the respective malus of the components is balanced out by this combination, your abilities are fundamentally more effective.
The Elemental Channeling (3) increases the damage of all elemental abilities at the expense of weapon damage. Both of your equipped abilities deal elemental damage as does your melee attack, Fiery Strike. These are therefore enhanced.
The Melee Inscription (4) further increases the damage of your melee attack. This way, the Fiery Strike is even more reliable as a Detonator.
To be able to take enough damage in melee, we need the Shield Enhancement (5) and Armor Enhancement (6). These two components provide the Storm with defensive protection options that it critically relies on in this build.
What weapons are suitable for the melee build
Which weapons should you use? You should choose weapons that are most effective at short to medium range. The masterwork variant of the heavy pistol “Avenging Herald” is an excellent choice for this build.
This is what the Avenging Herald does: This weapon is relatively accurate at close and medium range. The critical multiplier is particularly high for heavy pistols, causing substantial critical damage on precision hits.
The masterwork version of this weapon comes with the additional perk “Doomsday Hawk”, which increases your weapon damage by 200% as long as you are hovering. Because of this, this pistol is perfect for this build, as you should predominantly stay airborne with the Storm to maintain your shield.
Since your enemies are often frozen due to the Ice Storm, you can easily achieve headshots with this pistol and efficiently eliminate them even without Detonator abilities.
What weapon types are also suitable? Another notable category would be shotguns. If you get used to this playstyle and find yourself in the heat of battle often, you can use any type of shotgun to better keep enemies in check at close range.
If you are in a team and want to take on the role of a more leisurely Primer, you can also carry long-range rifles. This way, you can stay further back and reduce the risk of being hit while simultaneously supporting your team from a distance.
How do the other Javelins differ? The four Javelins differ primarily in their contrasting playstyles. The balanced Ranger offers the best combination of offense and defense, while the lightning-fast Interceptor tears apart its enemies in melee.
When do I unlock the other Javelins in Anthem? At first, you will start your journey with a stripped-down version of the Ranger. After the tutorial, once you reach pilot level 2, you can choose your preferred Javelin from the four classes.
You unlock the remaining Javelins at pilot levels 8, 16, and 26.
The Community Day in March revolves around the plant starter Geckarbor! Surprisingly, Pokémon GO is changing the event times. We’ll tell you everything about the date, bonuses, and the shiny form.
The Community Day in March brings Geckarbor, the first starter Pokémon of the 3rd generation. This Community Day will again offer reductions on egg hatching distance. For the first time, the event period has been changed. You can no longer hunt for shinies starting from 11 AM.
Community Day March 2019 – Bonuses and Date
When does the Community Day in March start? On Saturday, March 23rd, you have 3 hours as usual to take advantage of the event. This time, the Community Day will run from 3 PM to 6 PM.
This time frame is the same for every player in the world. Time zones no longer matter here; the Community Day starts at 3 PM in every country.
What are the bonuses?
The distance to hatch eggs will be reduced to a quarter
Lures last for 3 hours instead of 30 minutes
Geckarbor will appear more frequently in the wild
Here you see all the details about the Community Day.
What move can Gewaldro learn then? On each Community Day, there will be a special move that can only be learned on that day. It is still unknown what move that will be.
If Niantic stays true to their pattern with moves for plant starters, then Gewaldro could learn Flora Statue. This move was also learnable by Bisaflor and Meganie before.
How to obtain the move: The special event move can only be learned by evolving.
To master this move, it must be evolved during the event period. However, you will have an extra hour after the event to do so. After that, it will not be able to learn this move anymore.
Shiny Geckarbor, Reptain and Gewaldro
It is not confirmed yet, but it is highly likely that the shiny form of Geckarbor will be available to catch. This has been the case for every Community Day so far. The shiny form of Geckarbor is easy to recognize, as it has a red tail.
This is what the shinies of the Geckarbor family look like.
This is new: Niantic seems to have taken this criticism to heart and will likely change a lot about this form of the event. We show you what could be different and explain why the limited research should be given another chance.
This is different about the limited research
This is how Niantic reacted to the criticism: After the Barschwa Day was a failure for many players, there was an outcry about the event. Niantic also took notice and promised improvements for the next research.
Liz George said this about the Perlu Day.
The community manager from Niantic wrote about the event: “We have learned from the Barschwa Day and heard feedback and are trying a different approach. We can only improve by trying again. We look forward to your feedback after you have played the new approach [to the event].”
This is how they want to solve the problem with the quests: Many players complained about the difficult field research during the event. Niantic reacted to this and will introduce more research if one believes the leak from dataminer Chrales.
This showed numerous quests that should take place during the event. Simple field research such as “Fight in a gym” or “Spin PokéStops” are also included. This way everyone can do different research and focus on their favorite quests.
Therefore, the event could be more relaxed: Another point of criticism from players was the few Shinys on the Barschwa Day. Niantic also addressed this problem and has quickly removed the shiny Pokémon from the quests. At least that is assumed, because nothing is mentioned about it in their event announcement.
There probably will be no problem with a Shiny.
It is likely that there will be no Shiny Perlu, and the other Shinys that can be caught during the event will be available in raids and in the wild. This way, players don’t feel pressured to catch a Shiny, but can do as many field researches as they like.
It’s not just about quests: On the Barschwa Day, field researches were the sole focus. However, this Saturday there will be a real event with many water Pokémon and double Stardust when catching these monsters.
Completing quests remains important, but now there are also other bonuses that make the event sweeter.
These are the negative sides of the event
This must still be taken into account: Despite all the positive changes that Niantic announced, there are still some negatives about the event. The two evolutions of Perlu, Saganabyss and Aalabyss can only be obtained by chance. So you may get the same Pokémon 5 times in a row without evolving to the other monsters.
Perlu and its two evolutions
A name trick, similar to Eevee, is not known so far. Other variants to target the Pokémon for evolution are also not possible.
A problem for rural players: The issue for players in smaller towns has not been addressed either. For these players to get enough quests, they need to travel to a larger city.
Late announcement: The event was announced only on Wednesday. Many players could not take time off for this event on such short notice. For them, the announcement simply came too late.
What do you think? Will the Perlu Day be better than the limited research with Barschwa?
This weekend, you can also encounter Shiny Latias:
In 2019, Fortnite distributed a total of 100 million dollars in prize money. The World Championship is for ages 13 and up and rewards the solo winner with 3 million dollars.

Smaller Events for Everyone
There is something for everyone: Until the end of 2019, there will be weekly tournaments with prize money of 1 million dollars for the community.
What kind of tournaments are these? These tournaments are meant to provide variety and will be designed with different modes and formats. More detailed information is not yet available.
Who organizes the tournaments? Selected partners will also be supported by Epic Games. These could be popular streamers who are helped with tournament planning and provided with prize money.
So Fortnite is throwing around a lot of money in 2019.
You can save now on the Battle Pass for the next season. Fortnite would even give it to you:
If you are revived by a teammate on PS4 in Apex Legends, you are statistically part of a minority. At least, some numbers suggest this, as a player found out about a trophy in the PS4.
This player received the “Team Player” trophy for reviving a teammate in the PS4 version of the new battle royale hit Apex Legends. When he looked at the details, he found out that only 49.5% of all players own this trophy. This is reported by the site PCGamesN.
This means that more than 50% of all players on PS4 have never revived a teammate when they were killed. To do this, the banner has to be brought to a respawn point.
However, the number does not say anything about actual revivals, as the trophy can only be received once. This means that some players could have obtained the trophy with only one revival.
If these players just tried the game, they count in the statistics but obviously have no revivals. A specific reason why the number is so low cannot be stated.
Additionally, some websites like exophase mention other values, according to which 78.43% of players have the trophy, but only 21.4% of all PSN users.
Are other platforms more social? Yes, they actually are. The 49.5% for the trophy only applies to the PS4 version of the game. However, Apex Legends is also available on PC and Xbox One. Both platforms show a higher success percentage:
Why it is more common on PS4 for players to not revive their teammates and why it is the most players on Xbox One can only be speculated. However, the introduction of Solo and Duo modes for Apex Legends might change something.
Do you have a matching impression of your teammates or have you had other experiences?
Even if you are not revived, you could have even worse luck:

C.A.M.P.s give players in Fallout 76 the opportunity to build their own home. With many cosmetic items and various building forms, countless variations are even possible. Some players create very quirky houses from this.
The building system in Fallout 76 has inspired many players to get creative. With their own C.A.M.P., crafting stations such as the Power Armor Station can be easily accessed, allowing for food cultivation or resource production.
It all started when a player discovered how to stack foundations. This opened up completely new possibilities for players to build houses.
One player decided to build his house in the shape of a piggy bank. The pig consists mainly of stacked foundations and looks like a giant concrete block on two stubby legs.
The details from the outside are quite imaginative. Neon tubes serve as eyes, and dartboards form its snout, while the ears are made of decontamination arches, for which a significant amount of the rare flux was likely required.
The player even took care of the back side. A curly tail made of cables adorns the piggy’s behind.
Another player was inspired by the pig house and even saw the post as a challenge. After the pig on reddit received a lot of praise, another player quickly built a duck – fitting his real-life name “Ducky.”
The duck turned out to be even more creative than the piggy bank. From various roofs, the player recreated the rounded shapes of a duck’s body. The beak is made from a ramp, and the face from a roll-up door.
Wood constructions serve as wings. The player even took care of the delicate legs by building the house on just two foundations with two metal stairs.
Another player took inspiration from the current event in Fallout 76. At the moment, it is the “Mothman season,” during which encounters with the Mothman are supposed to be more likely. As another player has already noted, aluminum hats have been quite good for this.
From the new items, the player then built a massive Mothman temple that resembles an Inca pyramid. Countless steps lead to the top of the temple, where a small shrine with a Mothman statue waits for worshippers.
What do you think of these crazy buildings? For more great stories and information about Fallout 76, also visit our Fallout page on Facebook and look in our Fallout group for players to join you on your adventures.
These buildings certainly involve a lot of work, but probably not 900 hours. A player who supposedly invested that much time has now been banned:
Fans have discovered a cool Easter egg in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout. In the battle royale, it is now possible to play with an old cult weapon from the zombie mode of Black Ops 2.
What happened? A few days after the launch of the new Operation Grand Heist , players stumbled upon a secret that adds a new old cult weapon to the arsenal in Blackout.
In the new area Ghost Town, fans discovered a way to equip the iconic Ray Gun Mark II and hunt other players with this space blaster.
What is the Ray Gun Mark II? The Ray Gun Mark II is a weapon highly favored by fans – originally from the zombie mode of Black Ops 2. According to the description, it comes from another time and another universe.
Now the developers have brought this cult object back to Black Ops 4.
The version in Blackout is essentially the same weapon as in the previous titles of the series, aside from minor visual differences. It fires bursts of 3 energy projectiles and has 60 shots in battle royale.
How to obtain the weapon: To get the weapon, you need to go to the new area Ghost Town in the southeast of the map. There, you need to go to the underground part of the map, which is based on the zombie map Buried. It was on this map that the Ray Gun Mark II first appeared in Black Ops 2.
Now you first need to find a thrown axe and take it to the bar. This is hard to miss. There you will see a dartboard on one of the walls. Stand on the white line on the floor in front of the board. Now you need to hit it in the bullseye with the axe.
If you succeed, like on the original Buried map, a piano piece will play. Now you need to visit Arthur’s jail cell, which is located at the other end of the underground village. The axe hit will open the cell door there.
Enter the cell and interact with the question mark that is painted on the wall. Then the weapon will appear, and you can pick it up.

How fans are reacting: As the first reports of the discovery of the iconic weapon came in, most thought it was a joke or clickbait. But when it became clear that the report was true, many fans felt nostalgia and joy.
Especially for long-time Black Ops and Zombies fans, this Easter egg is well received. Numerous players are excited about this cool feature and are enjoying the new special weapon in battle royale mode.
However, there is an increasing demand from Treyarch to bring this cult weapon to the zombies mode in Black Ops 4 as well. Many emphasize that they will not rest until the Ray Gun Mark II has found its way into the popular coop mode. Whether and when that will happen is currently unclear.
In the
Extension Challenges of Season 7 in Fortnite: Battle Royale you should
find chests and ammo boxes at a racetrack or a dance club.
We explain where you need to look.
This is the challenge for the racetracks and dance clubs: In the final round of the Extension Challenges, you need to open a total of 7 chests or ammo boxes. But not just anywhere.
You need to do this at a dance club or a racetrack. It’s enough if you open the boxes in different rounds. It doesn’t have to happen all at once in one match.
Here are the racetracks and the dance club.
The location of the dance club
Here is the dance club: The dance club in Season 7 is located where the location Flush Factory used to be. Go to the ice biome at the coordinates E9 at the top of the grid square. There you just need to find chests and ammo boxes.
So you find ammo boxes and chests: Most of the chests are located in the dance club and on the balconies. But you should definitely also check the restrooms, where ammunition often lies around.
However, be careful while searching that no one gets ahead of you or shoots you.
The location of the racetrack
Here is the racetrack:
The racetrack can still be found in the desert biome at J6 on the map.
There are also many chests and boxes to find.
So you find ammo boxes and chests: At the racetrack, there are three buildings that all contain loot and boxes as well as chests. So you should make good progress in the challenge there.
But be careful! The racetrack is well known and should be populated by particularly many treasure hunters. So be cautious when you land there.
Here is another racetrack: Centrally located on the line from C1/2 is another relatively unknown racetrack. There are fewer opponents around, and you can grab a few boxes and chests.

What do you get as a reward for the challenge? If you have found all seven chests or ammo boxes at the required locations, you will receive 500 experience points as a reward.
On Saturday, February 23, the limited Research with Perlu will start in Pokémon GO. We will provide you with all the info about possible Shinies, the start time, and the quests so that you are well prepared.
What are limited Researches? This type of event is being held for the second time. Last month, Barschwa kicked things off and now Perlu follows.
During the 3-hour event, you will find field researches all around the event Pokémon. Additionally, there will be further bonuses available for just 3 hours.
Limited Researches in February – GMT+0: Start Times and Bonuses
What: The limited Researches in February 2019 When: On Saturday, February 23, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM German time (GMT+1) Pokémon of the Day: Perlu Bonus: First chance at Perlu Bonus: Double Stardust when catching Pokémon Bonus: Water Pokémon will spawn more frequently in the wild
This is what GMT+0 means: In the in-game notification, it mentions 10 AM as the start time. However, this refers to the GMT+0 time zone. In Germany, we have the GMT+1 time zone, which is why the event starts at 11 AM.
Update 11:10 AM: Shiny Perlu is also in the game! The first players in Europe have caught the shiny form of the Pokémon!
What are the Perlu Quests?
A dataminer says: The dataminer Chrales has found some quests in the code that are likely intended for the Perlu Day. Although the field researches have not been confirmed by Niantic yet, it is quite expected that these quests are for Perlu:
Battle in a gym
Battle in a raid
Use a very effective charged attack in a gym battle
Use 3 berries when catching Pokémon
Catch a Magikarp or Wailmer
Catch a Psyduck or Krabby
Catch 5 Water Pokémon
Evolve 2 Water Pokémon
Make 3 curveball throws
Make 3 nice throws
Make 3 nice throws in a row
Spin 2 PokéStops
Catching Magikarp – Probably part of the quests for Perlu
This is what these quests tell us: At first glance, these field researches seem quite easy. Many tasks are not comparable to the researches on Barschwa Day.
Perlu, Aalabyss and Saganabyss – Evolving?
This is known about the evolutions: Perlu has two evolutions. Both Pokémon evolve directly from Perlu. This is done similar to Eevee.
Saganabyss and Aalabyss are randomly evolved. There is no known trick to guarantee getting both Pokémon. You will need luck to obtain both monsters on your first attempt.
Perlu and its evolutions
Could there be an evolution trick? So far, it is said that the evolutions are random. Whether a trick will help with the evolution is still unknown. One must wait until the event and see if there will be a trick.
Is there also a Shiny Perlu?
Niantic says: In the announcement for the event, Niantic did not mention Shiny Perlu. It is assumed that this Pokémon will only appear in its normal form for now.
These Shinys will be available: Even if there may not be a Shiny Perlu, shiny hunters could still be rewarded. Niantic mentioned that there will be increased Water Pokémon appearing. There are numerous Shinys:
These Pokémon do not have to appear frequently in the wild on Saturday. They are simply Water Pokémon that can also be Shiny.
WP for a Perlu from the quest – 100% IV
This is the WP your Perlu must have: If you get a Perlu from the quest, it will generally have good IV. The maximum a Perlu from the quest can have is 544 WP, which is 100% IV. If you get such a Perlu from the quest, you should definitely catch it.
Are the evolutions of Perlu strong? Even if you do not get a 100% IV Perlu, it’s not tragic. Perlu and its evolutions play a minor role in the meta of Pokémon GO. It is much more important for the PokéDex.
These tips will help you for the event
Remember: You receive only one field research per PokéStop each day. If you already know which PokéStops you will play at during the event, you should not pick up or complete quests there before Saturday. Only spin the Photo Discs after the event starts so that you receive the Perlu quests.
An area with many PokéStops is important. The more PokéStops you have, the more quests you can complete.
This is how an area for the event with many stops should look – best conditions for players
At the end of the event, collect three field researches. As long as you have these in your inventory, you can complete them later.
Save Nanab berries! You will need 50 candies each for the evolution of Perlu. If you want to evolve both possible evolutions, Aalabyss and Saganabyss, you should catch the Perlu from the quest with the Nanab berries.
Activate a Star Piece, as there is double dust when catching Water Pokémon. This makes catching even more worthwhile.
Be ready for raiding: Not only will you see Perlu this weekend. The legendary raid boss Latias will return. You will also encounter this Pokémon in its shiny form.
Latias in Pokémon GO
You can ideally combine the quest “Battle in a raid” with a Latias raid.
Soon, the long-awaited team switch will also work:
In the horror shooter Hunt: Showdown, there will soon be a new monster. The zombie-like “Immolator” breaks with many traditions of mindless undead and brings a spectacular, flaming inferno with it. In addition, it significantly changes the gameplay mechanics.
What is the Immolator? The Immolator is a kind of burning zombie. It is a walking corpse with a skeletal head, burnt skin, and constantly smoldering, lightly burning wounds all over its body.
The new monster is extremely aggressive and has some special features. It is supposed to introduce a kind of psychological warfare into the horror game.

This is what makes the Immolator so special: When attacked with a sharp weapon or a firearm, the Immolator suddenly bursts into flames. It spews fire around itself and ignites everything in its surroundings – including you.
Meanwhile, it screams like crazy and moves at a lightning-fast speed towards you. When it burns, it leaves a trail of flames behind it that ignites everything it touches. Its screams attract other enemies that can also burn in the flames.
The Immolator doesn’t even care what it attacks. If you shoot it and are not within range, it will simply attack whatever it finds in its raging fury. This can be other monsters or even other players.
This especially happens when you hide on a hill in front of it. You should just be careful where you are, because the burning zombie can easily kick in unreinforced doors and turn a small room into a blazing inferno…
More about the Immolator will be revealed by the developers in their stream, starting at around 1h 11m

Due to its extremely aggressive behavior, especially when it has been wounded, the Immolator itself becomes a kind of mechanic. It can be used tactically by wounding it when it is near other players. It will panic them when it charges at them while burning.
According to the developers, that’s exactly the plan. The Immolator is supposed to create psychological tension, unsettling players by rampaging while burning and screaming. When it is wounded, it just wants to “kill someone.” At the same time, its fire mechanic leads to a change in gameplay.

The Elder Scrolls Online receives new content not only for paying PvE dungeon fans with the new Update 21 “Wrathstone”. PvP players also get a new map that packs a punch.
What is the new map in ESO? The new map Eld Angvar is an arena for the Battleground mode (structured PvP) of The Elder Scrolls Online. The location is an inter-world created by the Ayleidans. Those who have played the Murkmire story may remember Eld Angvar from that storyline.
What is special about Eld Angvar? Unlike the known maps in the Battlegrounds, the starting points here are not at the edges of the map. Instead, all players start in the middle. According to the developers, this leads to immediate action as battles commence right away.
This is what the new map looks like.
If you want to move, you need to use the edges of the map. Additionally, the map will have two variants. Depending on whether you use the modes Relic Hunt, Domination, or Chaos Ball or try the variants Mad King and Deathmatch, different parts of the map will be opened or closed.
What is there to earn? With the new Update 21, new rewards for PvP fans are coming into play:
Elinhir Arena Lion: You can obtain this companion by combining 40 Arena Gladiator proofs (reward for conquest missions) with the roar of the Arena Gladiator (from war researchers in Cyrodiil).
Costume styles for weapons: New weapon styles designed by the three teams are available in the Battlegrounds. You obtain the style of the Pit Demons in Deathmatch, the Stormlords during Flag Battle, and the Fire Dragons in Land Grab.
This is the loot.
When will the new map come out? The new map, along with Update 21, is available for PC players on February 25. Console fans unfortunately have to wait until March 12. Update 21 is free for all players. Only those who want the two new dungeons from Wrathstone have to pay.
What do the players say? The new battleground is well-received by the community. Especially the new cosmetic styles are highly praised, and many players are looking forward to unlocking them.
Many players believe that there is stage 5 of the Prisoner skin in Fortnite . We will show you what supports stage 5.
What kind of skin is this? The Prisoner skin in Fortnite only appears in armor made of chains and locks. The owners of the skin then unlock further stages of this cosmetic item through special actions. For example, the Prisoner will remove his headgear and be infused with magma.
These four stages of the Prisoner were known so far – Left stage 1 to right stage 4
This supports stage 5: After these mentioned stages, the skin still carries a belt with a lock on the side. Additionally, there is a metal collar with a piece of chain hanging from it.
Many believe that the collar is a deliberate accessory. However, the belt with its conspicuous lock seems to be another unlockable stage. The skin might possibly separate from both armor pieces in stage 5.
What could stage 5 look like? The community on Reddit has already extensively discussed how the Prisoner could continue. User TheInfamousRavenKing speculates that the necklace and belt might still disappear. He created a graphic that shows how the skin might look then.
In this example, stage 5 would ensure that the legs and upper body of the Prisoner are significantly more infused with fire. The fabric also burns due to the heat.
What Epic Games ultimately makes of the skin and whether there really is still a stage 5 is currently unclear. Players are now eagerly awaiting it.
If you are also looking forward to stage 5, keep an eye on our Facebook page for Fortnite . As soon as we have the information, we will show you there how to unlock the stage.

Use your skills and combos: Anthem has several types of abilities, including Primer and Detonator skills. When you use a Primer ability on an enemy, and then hit them with a Detonator skill, a combo explosion occurs.
This explosion deals increased damage to the target and can inflict additional effects like burning or freezing.
In Anthem, your abilities are significantly more important than, for example, in the shared-world shooter The Division 2, where skills are meant to have only a supporting role. In Anthem, it’s the exact opposite.
When you pick up ammunition during combat, it not only fills your capacity but also instantly refills your magazine.
You can cleverly use your movements in combat to ensure that you can continue shooting, even when your magazine should be empty. You may need some luck, but ammunition drops quite frequently on the battlefield.
Many coins in Freeplay
This is how you can quickly earn coins: Coins are your in-game currency, which can be used to buy cosmetic items and other things. Players report on Reddit that the Freeplay mode is well suited for farming coins.
In the world of Anthem, there are apparently chests filled with coins. Mo310 claims to have obtained between 800 and 2000 coins from such chests. Given the current prices in the cash shop, that’s not a bad amount.
There, a Javelin armor costs 61,000 coins, graphics, armor materials, and emotes cost 12-18,000.
Tomb Quests do not need to be completed in free play
What are Tomb Quests? These quests lead you into the various dungeons of the game world. They often involve areas that you visit more frequently, even during other missions.
Tomb Quests can be completed alongside: Therefore, you don’t need to enter free play at all. You can take Tomb Quests during any mission type and complete them, as one fan discovered.
Only World Events are exclusively found in free play. These are random occurrences in the world of Anthem.
What you need to keep in mind: If you want to complete certain missions, you should make sure to accept the quest yourself. The completion is only saved if you start the respective mission in “your” Fort Tarsis.
Reddit user nickjamesfm advises everyone to speak with the quest giver first. Otherwise, you can check your journal after the mission entry.
Experiencing a connection loss during a mission or being kicked from a session for other reasons can be very frustrating. However, you don’t need to worry about your loot and EXP.
This is how you get your EXP and the loot you collected until then: If you complete another session normally, you will also receive the loot and experience points from the session you previously left.
Locked out? Here’s how to get back to your team
When you join a stronghold, it can occasionally happen that you stand in front of a locked door. The team has already moved on, but the door to the next section is locked. What to do?
This is how you find your team: If you spawn behind a locked door in a stronghold, open the map and select “Respawn” to land back with the team.
Crafting becomes interesting later
That’s why you should wait: Don’t engage with the crafting system too early. It’s not worth spending materials on equipment you’ll only use for a maximum of 1-2 levels until you find better ones.
At the beginning of the game, you’ll be constantly supplied with enough loot through the story and missions. So save your crafting materials for later.
That’s why they are uninteresting for you: Consumable items are objects that can be crafted with materials. They can be equipped before each mission and are only valid for that one mission.
However, they are not necessary for success, so it’s better to save the materials for more useful purposes.
Play missions on hard, strongholds on normal
That’s why a different difficulty level is worthwhile: In missions, a normal difficulty level is very easy for a 4-player team. Therefore, it’s worth playing on hard. You’ll get better gear and should still get through without problems.
Additionally, you will reach for combos more often, which increases the enjoyment of playing in a group.
Strongholds, on the other hand, are larger dungeons and set up like a mini-raid. They are more demanding and should preferably be attempted on normal first.
Cool down your Javelin for longer flying distances
Use the environment for this: Your Javelin cannot fly indefinitely. After a while, you need to cool down before you can continue flying. If you don’t do this, the suit will overheat, and you will crash.
You can use the game world to keep your Javelin flying. You can utilize any water sources, such as waterfalls, rivers, or lakes, for this purpose.
In flight, you can quickly dip into the water, and the flight continues. Your suit will now heat up more slowly for a time.
Collect everything and talk to everyone
This is why it pays off: Whatever you find, it either provides useful crafting material or gives you lore information and experience points.
Thus, it pays off to stop for a moment, collect that Cortex entry or loot that material.
This is what matters with components: Components are part of the Javelin’s equipment and are part of the loot in Anthem.
They are specifically available for each of the 4 Javelins or as general components that can be equipped by all.
However, it is worth equipping Javelin-specific components as they are usually better suited for the gameplay style of that particular suit.
For example, the Interceptor can equip components that significantly increase the damage of the dual blades. Each Javelin has such components, so choose wisely.
Kill the small monsters too
This is why it’s worth killing trash mobs: Trash mobs are smaller monsters that pose no significant threat to the player, yet can appear repeatedly, no matter what you are playing.
There’s a specific reason for this. Not only is it fun to take out many small enemies with a big bang, but you also benefit from it. They often drop health and ammunition.
The more monsters you kill, the faster your ultimate attacks recharge.
However, the Klauninchen do not count as trash mobs. So you don’t gain anything by shooting them. The killing of Klauninchen has already caused a controversy in the community.
We will be adding more tips to this article over time. This is just an initial, small selection. If you have more tips, please let us know in the comments!
Many players of Anthem are struggling with the Tomb Quest, where you need to open 4 tombs for the story. Our guide explains how you can do this.
The “Tomb Quest” is already notorious:The horror quest “Tomb of the Legionnaires” is currently driving some players crazy. Many found it annoying and cumbersome to complete. This quest is also a prerequisite to progress in the story.
Your task as a freelancer is to open and complete the 4 tombs. The actual minimum level for this quest is 9-10. Thanks to one of the changes from a hotfix that was applied server-side, the tasks are counted starting from level 3.
What can you expect in the tombs? Not much. You can go a few meters into the tomb, interact with it, and then go back to the remaining tasks.
If you are struggling with the Tomb Quest, we explain the less clear tasks and list everything you need to complete the tombs.
The Tomb of the Legionnaires
What do I need to do? But to open these tombs, you first need to complete some tasks. There are a total of 15 grind tasks that you can complete in free play. We summarize how to open and complete the tombs.
Once you accept this quest, the new tasks you need to complete will be displayed in the menu under Challenges and under the section “Free Play”.
The Tomb of Yvenia
The Tomb of Yvenia is located directly northwest of Fort Tarsis and is not hard to find.
You need to complete these tasks to open the Tomb of Yvenia:
Open 15 treasure chests
Collect 25 materials
Repair 3 Javelins
Find 10 collectibles
Finding collectibles in Anthem? Many players did not even know what exactly those were until this quest. They are books, documents, inscriptions, and other lore items. You can find them randomly in the open world. Apparently, they are mainly found around buildings and tents. In the following video, you can see the locations of 10 of these collectibles:

This is how you find treasure chests: Head into free play, preferably on hard. This way, the probability of landing on a map with 3 other players is at least lower. Treasure chests are scattered all over, usually found in ravines or at the bottom of lakes and waterfalls.
Only each chest you find counts that you open yourself. At the moment (February 20), it is not counted for the whole group. This should change in the future via patch.
For example, you can find a chest directly when you leave Fort Tarsis. As soon as you spawn, fly straight ahead. Soon, you should see a waterfall flowing into a kind of round ravine below you. At the bottom of that water body, you will find a chest.
You can find more chests in our guide to the locations:
The Tomb of Artinia is located north of the Yvenia Tomb. Just orient yourself at the edge of the map.
You need to complete these tasks to open the Tomb of Artinia:
Kill 9 elite enemies
Complete 5 world events
30 weapon kills
Achieve 15 weak point kills
Where do I find elite enemies? You can recognize elite enemies by their designation “(Elite)” in the name. You can mainly find them on missions and strongholds, but also during world events in free play.
The Tomb of Cariff
The Tomb of Cariff is located in the Emerald Abyss area, at the northeastern edge of the map.
You need to complete these tasks to open the Tomb of Cariff:
This is how you achieve kill streaks: A kill streak counts if you eliminate 8 enemies within 10 seconds. You need to do this 3 times.
You must ensure that you actually deal the final blow and that your enemies are not eliminated by an effect or a teammate.
Explosive skills are especially suitable for this purpose. Examples of skills that can effectively kill multiple enemies at once are the poison cloud of the Interceptor and the grenade launcher of the Colossus.
The ultimate ability of the Ranger is probably the best way to take out many enemies at once. The same goes for the Storm’s ultimate, which rains down elemental storms.
This is how you achieve gear kills: Gear kills are kills made with one of your skills. The Colossus is particularly well-suited to achieve gear kills with its flamethrower. However, this can essentially be done with any Javelin.
The Tomb of Gawnes
The Tomb of Gawnes is located in the northwest of the map. Orient yourself from Fort Tarsis along the western edge of the map, and you should find it.
You need to complete these tasks to open the Tomb of Gawnes:
Achieve 50 melee kills
Make 50 ultimate kills
Complete 3 legendary kills
Where do I find legendary enemies? You can recognize legendary enemies by their designation “(Legendary)” in the name. Like elite enemies, you can find legendary foes on missions and strongholds and also during world events.
This is how you easily achieve melee kills: The Interceptor is very well suited to achieve the required melee kills.
Use world events: World events are a very good way to fulfill many of these tasks at once, as they consist of several waves of enemies and also present you with legendary and elite enemies.
On February 22, Anthem officially releases on PC, Xbox One, and PS4:
The Division 2 fully focuses on the endgame, unlike its predecessor, and aims to offer players a lot even after the story. We show you 9 things that should convince you of the endgame.
Fans can look forward to a lot: Since the announcement of The Division 2, developer Massive has been confident about the endgame content. They are sure that they will meet the players’ expectations upon release.
In addition to the 3 Dark Zones, PvP modes, and specializations, there is also a new endgame faction, the Black Tusk.
Who is Black Tusk? Details about their role are not yet known. What is certain is that Black Tusk is a particularly heavily armed group.
It is possibly a highly technized mercenary unit. Who is pulling the strings behind it is unknown.
What makes Black Tusk so dangerous? Since they are an endgame faction, they are supposed to bring a certain challenge.
Black Tusk behaves more tactically than other factions and uses everything against you in combat:
Gadgets like walking bots equipped with turrets
Drones that explode as soon as they reach you,
Heavily armored enemies with Gatlings, grenade launchers, and other artillery
Even a quadcopter is part of their arsenal
The arsenal of the Black Tusk is probably quite well equipped
…and takes over the city
This is how Black Tusk attempts to conquer Washington D.C.: As soon as Black Tusk appears in the open world, you can encounter them everywhere.
They conquer the control points and fortifications of D.C., including those that do not belong to the Division or the civilians.
This not only leads to conflicts with “the good guys,” but also with other enemy factions like the True Sons.
With Black Tusk, all of D.C. is supposed to remain dynamic even in the endgame and continually give you something to do, like retaking a control point from the Black Tusk. They also intervene in missions, the so-called invaded missions.
Invaded missions after the story
What are invaded missions? These are basically new versions of the campaign missions that you can play after completing the story and reaching level 30.
This is how world ranks work: Veterans of The Division 1 should remember the world ranks. They are unlocked at level 30.
There are a total of 5 ranks, with each higher rank also having stronger enemies. However, once you reach level 30, only world rank 1 is initially available.
This is how you unlock world ranks: To unlock ranks 2-4, you must face the Black Tusk and conquer one of their so-called strongholds per world rank.
For world rank 5, you must finally take a particularly large base located at the Tidal Basin. This is a partially artificially created reservoir with a lake that is close to historical buildings like the Jefferson Memorial.
The higher you rise in world ranks, the better the loot you receive. This way, you can gradually work your way up and increase your gear score.
Optimize your gear score
What is gear score? While levels 1-30 still require every piece of equipment to meet a level requirement, after level 30 the gear score indicates the strength of your equipment. Your gear score is calculated from the average of the individual parts.
However, the gear score is only a rough indicator and does not show how well an build is optimized.
The fundamental goal is therefore to master the world ranks and maximize the gear score. For this, there are a whole lot of activities and better gear available.
Here you see high-end equipment with a gear score of 342
The 3 specializations open up new playstyles
What are specializations? They are basically new skills and weapons that can be unlocked once you reach level 30.
At launch of The Division 2, there will be 3 specializations:
Sniper
Survival Specialist
Demolition Expert
Each of these specializations comes with its own signature weapon.
The sniper has a .50 caliber precision rifle,
the survival specialist uses a crossbow with explosive bolts
and the demolition expert has a grenade launcher at their disposal.
Along with these signature weapons come special skill mods and other perks that are supposed to support the playstyle of the respective specialization. You can switch freely between them.
Further information can be found on our website Mein-MMO:
What is a Dark Zone? It is an area that combines PvE and PvP elements. This area is cut off from the rest of the open world and must be entered through a control point.
In the Dark Zone, you have the highest density of loot drops, so it is worth going farming there. But beware, other players can snatch your loot away from you. A part of the things you find there is contaminated and must first be flown out by helicopter.
Don’t let your loot be stolen: In the Dark Zone, you can encounter both NPCs and other players. These players can either be friendly to you or decide to go rogue.
Or you become rogue yourself and target other players. This unpredictability is what makes the Dark Zone appealing and has brought a lot of fun to many fans in The Division 1.
This is changing compared to the predecessor: Unlike The Division 1, where there was only one large, contiguous Dark Zone, there will be three different Dark Zones in The Division 2. These are located in different districts of Washington D.C.
What else is changing in the Dark Zone, you can read about on our website:
This is what the endgame offers for PvP fans: In addition to the Dark Zone, there is also a dedicated PvP area for The Division 2 called Conflict.
At launch, Conflict brings 2 PvP modes:
Skirmish
Domination
In both modes, it’s 4vs4 players on their own maps. While Skirmish is a classic team deathmatch, in Domination you have to capture and hold 3 positions.
This is what we know about the raid: Ubisoft has now announced the name of the first raid on Twitter. It is an activity for 8 players that will expand the endgame after release.
This raid will be called “Operation Dark Hours” and is apparently located in the National Ronald Reagan Airport of Washington D.C. This was revealed by the latest endgame trailer for The Division 2.
It is expected to start shortly after the release on March 15, likely as part of the 1st free DLC. It may also arrive as a separate update. We will keep you updated on this.
You can find an overview of the endgame content here:
Fortnite: Battle Royale faces tough competition from the new battle royale game Apex Legends. Nevertheless, the player count for Epic’s successful game continues to rise. The genre appears to have enough space for two big titles.
What is the new player record? The Fortnite developers at Epic Games have recorded a new player milestone. On February 16, 2019, there were 7.6 million players online at the same time. This was the largest player count outside of an event.
In fact, February 16 was just an ordinary day without a special event or a patch. The event record, however, still stands at 10.7 million concurrent players who witnessed the big Marshmello concert at the beginning of February.
Fortnite is certainly not dead, even if some would like to see it that way.
As many Fortnite streamers immediately started playing the new game intensively, rumors of Fortnite’s death spread quickly. Apex does so much right and better than Fortnite. Especially the gunplay comes without annoying bloom, there are well-balanced heroes, and a lot of extremely cool comfort features that hardly anyone wants to miss anymore.
Why is Fortnite still so successful? However, there is no talk of a decline or even a death of Fortnite. Rather, the numbers are still increasing. Epic has indeed implemented several clever initiatives that have ensured action and full servers even during the traditionally slow transition period between two seasons:
All these innovations were implemented by Epic quickly and largely successfully. The competition from Apex Legends may have played a significant role.
The genre has enough space for two big games
Why Apex is not the big Fortnite killer: However, the competition doesn’t seem that fierce, as the battle royale genre likely has enough room for two large free-to-play games. Both Apex and Fortnite cater to different player needs:
Apex Legends is more interesting for pure shooter fans because its gunplay is perceived as better and there is no building involved.
Fortnite, on the other hand, is a phenomenon among teenagers and children, impressing with massive events, constantly new features, and a crazy building mode.
Apex Legends is also catching up.
Therefore, both games can likely coexist well side by side and secure a large core audience that provides them with good revenue.
Nonetheless, it is interesting how both games have recently provided numerous updates and new elements to keep their content-hungry players entertained.
The competition may not be as tough as assumed, but it definitely enlivens the business and benefits the players.
An analysis firm surveyed over 600 gamers on PS4 and Xbox One to see if they would buy Anthem . One in four console owners said “Yes” – which surprised the analysts.
What kind of survey is this? The analysis firm “Piper Jaffray” surveyed over 600 console owners at the end of January about their plans to purchase Anthem:
22% said “Yes” and expressed their purchase interest in Anthem, it is stated
For comparison:
In September 2015, a similar survey for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 showed 40% purchase interest. The game sold 23 to 24 million units in its first year, making it a huge hit.
Purchase intention for Anthem at 25% “surprisingly high”
This is how analysts reacted to the first survey: The analysts were apparently surprised that so many said they wanted to buy Anthem. Because the responses indicated significantly higher sales numbers than the analysts had anticipated.
So Piper Jaffray conducted another smaller survey on 11.2. to confirm or refute their results. In that one, they said
35% of console owners said they intended to buy Anthem – even more than in the first survey
Thus, both surveys indicate that one in four owners (25%) of a console plan to acquire Anthem.
This is the insight now: Piper Jaffray has increased their valuation of Electronic Arts’ stock after these two surveys. They speak of “remarkably high interest” in buying the game Anthem.
As confirmation of the thesis, they point out that the ratio of “likes to dislikes” on YouTube for Anthem trailers is surprisingly positive. There are 17 likes for every dislike, and the ratio is similar to that of Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and higher than for titles like Destiny 1 or the last two Assassin’s Creeds.
