In Fortnite , new rules have been active for several weeks that reward aggressive play. Since then, kill records are tumbling on the platforms, and the top players keep raising the numbers higher and higher.
These are the new rules: At the end of Season 7, on February 14th, Epic introduced new rules for Fortnite that previously only applied in the Pop-Up Cup:
Players now receive 50 health points or shield points for a kill
and harvesting building materials goes significantly faster, as defeated opponents drop resources
These rules are meant to reward more aggressive, faster gameplay. Some have speculated that Epic is reacting to the competition from Apex Legends.
Previously, top players could not engage in every fight immediately, but had to take small regeneration breaks multiple times to use potions or bandages. Even pros occasionally get shot and take damage.
A lot of time was also spent regularly hitting things with the pickaxe to be able to build again in the next fight.
These two time wasters are now gone.
Top players are additionally rewarded for aggressive play, often returning to full health with full shields after kills and can immediately continue. Opponents also drop building materials.
Records in Fortnite are falling
This is what it looks like in practice: Players go on a “record hunt.” The goal is to collect as many kills as possible in a round. Usually, players compete solo but play against 4-person teams in the “Squad” mode.
The mobile player “Flash” has set a new record in “Solo vs. Squad” on mobile. He previously held it with 34 kills.
With the new rules and a super run, he has now increased it to 39 kills.

These kill records have been broken since February:
This record is not the only one that has recently fallen:
The duo vs. squad record on PC was broken multiple times (via dexerto). After the record was constant for over a year, it has now fallen three times in just a few days and currently stands at 52.
The normal duo record on PC has also tumbled. On February 26th, two players achieved 46 kills.
The Season of the Vagabond has begun in Destiny 2. We have compiled what exotic items await you here. All Exotics of Season 6.
What new items are there? The new season of the Vagabond, which started on March 5, brings a total of five new exotic items to Destiny 2. Players can look forward to three new gloves for the various classes and the first linear fusion rifle that is worn in the kinetic slot.
Moreover, players can dive into a new exotic questline starting March 12 to obtain the Thorn.
These exotic items can be found in the Season of the Vagabond
How exactly you obtain the new items is still not entirely clear. It has only been confirmed that the Thorn is tied to a questline. However, players are already reporting that they have received the gloves through random exotic drops.
Stronghold – Titan Gloves
Stronghold is the name of the new Titan gloves players can find in the current season.
This is the exotic perk: The intrinsic perk of the gloves is called Charged Fist. Blocking with swords increases mobility speed and does not consume ammunition. Shots that are blocked immediately after parrying heal you.
Stronghold is the name of the new gloves for Titans.
Liar’s Handshake – Hunter Gloves
Hunters can now obtain the gloves Liar’s Handshake. The gloves are primarily aimed at Arc Hunters.
This is the exotic perk: The intrinsic perk is called Counterpunch. If you use your Arc melee ability or get hit by a melee attack, you can initiate a powerful melee counterpunch that heals you.
Hunters rely on Liar’s Handshake
Escape Artist – Warlock Gloves
The Arc Warlocks also receive new gloves called Escape Artist.
This is the exotic perk: Your intrinsic perk is called Dynamic Duo and allows the bearer to hold down the grenade button to convert their Arc grenade into an overcharged Arc soul. The Arc soul functions as an autonomous turret.
These exotic gloves are made for Arc Warlocks.
Arbalest – Linear Fusion Rifle
With Arbalest, Destiny 2 receives its first linear fusion rifle that is worn in the kinetic slot.
This is the exotic perk: Its intrinsic perk is called Binding Force and fires rounds that deal massive damage to enemy elemental shields. Furthermore, the perk Disruption makes enemies whose shield has been destroyed by Arbalest briefly vulnerable to kinetic damage.
Arbalest is the new linear fusion rifle.
Thorn – Hand Cannon
The Thorn makes its way into Destiny 2. The weapon is tied to an exotic questline that Guardians can tackle starting March 12.
This is the exotic perk: Your intrinsic perk is called Mark of Damnation. Rounds penetrate targets and deal damage over time. Kills with the Thorn leave remnants. The perk Soul Devourer ensures that absorbing the remnants strengthens the Mark of Damnation and partially reloads the magazine.
A gamer's house
in the USA was riddled with bullets during a shooting. Even the big gaming monitor
took a hit. But it still works!
The player Eric Gan from Fresno County (California, USA) was awoken last Sunday at 4 AM local time by loud banging noises. After lying panic-stricken in bed for an hour, he eventually fell back asleep and decided to check the situation calmly the next morning.
House and monitor riddled with bullets
What did the player find
in the morning? The next morning, Gan was shocked to find the south wall of his house riddled with five bullet holes. What exactly had happened, Gan could not determine. He assumes that a few kids in the neighborhood must have been celebrating too wildly.
Do you still see the bullet hole?
Source: Twitter
This is the deal with the bulletproof monitor: The craziest thing about it was not that it seems normal in Gan’s area to shoot around at night. Rather, a deformed bullet was found on his desk behind the monitor!
Gan initially thought the bullet had completely missed his thick MSI monitor, but in reality, the projectile had clearly hit the back of the monitor and had been stopped by it. There was only a small dent at the entry point.
Gan assumes that the wall had already significantly reduced the energy of the projectile. But he found it quite impressive that the monitor had fully stopped the bullet. Therefore, he posted a picture of the monitor.

This is how the manufacturer
of the screen reacted: The company behind the monitor was of course happy about the free PR in the form of “You build bulletproof monitors” and promised Eric Gan a brand new screen as a replacement, even though the old screen still worked.
This is how other gamers react: In the comments of the source Kotaku, the news was received with a smile. Besides contributions to public safety in the USA, some gamers now suspect bulletproof monitors to soon be used as cover in Free2Play shooters, stopping bullets while cheerfully advertising for the cash shop.
Others, on the other hand, demand monitors as body armor in shooters.
In Red Dead Online, there are currently piles of dead animals at the trappers. This is due to a glitch that allows players to easily earn a lot of money.
Why are so many cougars spawning? On Reddit, players are posting screenshots from their online sessions. They noticed unusual piles of dead animals at their local trapper. They ask other players what it’s all about. Players explain that there is currently a way to easily earn a lot of money with the cougars.
“The current state in Red Dead Online” – Source: Reddit
This glitch is to blame: Players discovered that there is a glitch with animal corpses. First, you hunt and take down a cougar, preferably one with 3 stars. Then, you take the dead animal on horseback to the trapper’s stand. Players park the horse with the animal on its back at the trapper and then go into a clothing store. After a few seconds, the horse despawns, and the carcass falls to the ground.
If you now call your horse back, it comes galloping with a new cougar carcass on its back. Players repeat this over and over again and earn a lot of money from it. Each cougar is worth $13.50. Not quite as much as with this glitch in singleplayer:
As Kotaku reports, there are also other variations of the glitch related to the passive mode glitch or speaking to the trapper.
Another scenario where the glitch was used – Source: Reddit
Why does this glitch exist? According to a Reddit thread, the last update has caused this glitch to be executable. Something seems to have changed in the way Red Dead Online handles loot on the backs of horses. A crazy bug once made it rain burnt boats in Red Dead Online. Here’s how it looked:
Why are players doing this? Many report that they want to get back at Rockstar. Some players were upset that an update halved hunting profits.
One player writes on Reddit: “If Rockstar wants to screw us over, I’m screwing them back.”.
The glitch is controversial: Not everyone in the community is celebrating the glitch. Many players complain that players are circumventing the economy with such a trick and are receiving much more money. They are providing feedback to Rockstar Games about the existence of such a glitch and hope that it will be fixed soon (via Reddit).
Is the glitch still active? Some players report that this glitch method has now been disabled by Rockstar. However, others explain that they are still earning money with it. It is therefore unclear whether and how this is still functioning.
The community firmly expects that Rockstar will soon fix this glitch. After all, you make an incredible amount of money in the game with it. Whether the ill-gotten money will remain with the players or be deleted by the developers is also unclear at this time.
To improve the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, players are now wishing for these features:
With the upcoming Module 16 “Undermountain”, a new campaign with a gigantic dungeon is coming to the MMORPG Neverwinter. The developers are making such significant changes to the entire game that it almost becomes a new title. Therefore, there are concerns that this update may destroy the Neverwinter that many have known.
Is Neverwinter 2.0 coming?
What changes does “Undermountain” bring? Essentially, with the new expansion, almost everything in the game is being changed. This includes:
Many character stats are being removed or replaced. There will no longer be an armor class, but counter values instead.
Life drain and recovery are being removed so that the focus can shift more to healing.
The item level system is being adjusted and scaling is being introduced.
Blessings are being changed and are now divided into tiers.
There are many changes that almost make Neverwinter a new game. Hardly anything remains the same.
Neverwinter’s expansion “Undermountain” brings many changes to the game.
Why are these changes happening? Cryptic Studios wants to keep up with the times and adapt their MMORPG so that newcomers are not overwhelmed. There are many simplifications, as the previous rule system was somewhat complex. Neverwinter is supposed to play faster after the adjustments, and casual players should be able to get into it easily.
What do players think about it? The community is currently very divided over the changes. Many believe that these changes will “destroy” Neverwinter and take away much of the D&D ruleset from the MMORPG. Additionally, some fear that Neverwinter will be simplified too much.
wlurk502 writes on Reddit: “This is no longer an MMORPG for idiots but rather an MMORPG for brain dead people.”
Others, however, have tested the changes in an early form since March 1st on the preview server and believe that while Neverwinter plays differently now and requires adjustment, it is not as bad as feared.

What are the main points of criticism? There are some things that particularly upset the “hardcore” fans of the MMORPG:
The character development is no longer as complex as before, as everyone can use the same abilities, bonuses, enchantments, and runestones.
The new feats make no sense for some classes and the choices are heavily restricted.
Crafting has been nerfed, as professions no longer play a significant role. It hardly makes sense to produce master items.
Healers are now essential since life drain and recovery have been abolished. This makes solo play more difficult, and the healer class is not so refined that it’s fun to play.
This is why the situation is so complicated: There are so many changes to Neverwinter that still need to be tested to truly determine how the MMORPG will play later. The impact is still not foreseeable. Furthermore, the tests and the criticism may lead to further adjustments being made.
Even after the release of Undermountain in the spring, there may still be optimizations. Nonetheless, it is understandable that such extensive changes to an MMORPG can cause anxiety among players.
Collectible cards gain collector’s value over time. Not every card from the trading card game Magic: The Gathering is commonly available. The “Black Lotus” has now been auctioned on eBay for over $166,000.
How valuable are Magic cards
Which card is it exactly? Black Lotus belongs to the Alpha set of Magic: The Gathering and is part of the first edition of the card game from 1993. These cards are recognizable by their rounded corners and black borders.
The Black Lotus card from Magic The Gathering was sold for over $166,000.
How much did the buyer pay for the card? It was an eBay auction in which the card finally sold for $166,100.
Wasn’t such a card sold last year too?In July 2018, a “Black Lotus” card was also sold on eBay. This one also came from the Alpha series of the first edition of Magic: The Gathering. At that time, it was sold for “only” $87,672.
Why is this card so expensive? It is a card of which there are only 1,100 copies. The Alpha of Magic: The Gathering was replaced by an improved Beta, whose cards look different and where some cards had different values for better balancing. And that’s exactly what happened with the Alpha version of the Black Lotus. It disrupted the balancing and had to be replaced, which makes it so special now.
This image is recognizable on the card
Cards from the Alpha are therefore extremely sought after by collectors, especially when they are well preserved.
Moreover, the card is in a condition of 9.5 out of 10, which is almost like “new” status. There is almost no wear on it, which makes it especially valuable.
Why did the card sell for much more money than the one last year? Exact reasons for this are not known. It is curious, as both cards were in the same condition. Within a year, the value has basically doubled.
In Pokémon GO, an event has started in Berlin. According to Niantic, there are more Ursaring and Teddiursa available to catch at the ITB fairgrounds.
This is the mini-event: On Twitter , Niantic announced this small event is only taking place in Berlin. The reason is that Niantic is represented at the ITB in Berlin, which is why they are hosting a small event.
In addition to some bonuses, Teddiursa and Ursaring will particularly spawn more frequently in the wild.
We will tell you whether a trip to the capital is worth it and what you need to know about the event.
What the mini-event in Berlin entails
Where the event takes place: This event takes place only in a small part of Berlin. The event is located on the entire fairgrounds of the International Tourism Exchange, in the western part of Berlin. Once you are outside this area, you will not receive any bonuses.
This is how Niantic announces their event.
These are the bonuses: If you are at the fairgrounds, you will receive the following bonuses:
Increased Teddiursa and Ursaring spawns in the wild
Lure modules last for 4 hours
Four times Stardust (There is double dust on the grounds and additionally double dust during the battle event)
How long does the event last? The event is already live and runs until March 10. Niantic did not provide a specific time.
Why are there Teddiursa? Niantic did not explain why there are more Teddiursa and Ursaring. However, it can be assumed that it is related to the Berlin bear. This is the city’s animal symbol, and the bear is often associated with Berlin.
Are there shiny Teddiursa? There are not many reports about the event yet. So far, no player has caught a shiny Teddiursa. If this happens, we will update this post here.
Are there Incognito? Niantic often has Incognito spawn at smaller fairs and events. This was also the case at MAG in Erfurt last year.
Whether there are Incognito is not confirmed.
Four days ago, a player reported on Reddit that they caught a T-Incognito in Berlin. This would fit quite well with the letters of ITB. However, since then no other player has caught a matching Incognito in Berlin.
It remains to be seen whether this catch was coincidental or whether there are indeed Incognito spawns on the grounds. We will also update this post for you.
Is this event worth it? Based on current knowledge, this event in Berlin is rather weak. Anyone who is on their way to Berlin or lives in Berlin should definitely check out the ITB. After all, there is four times Stardust available.
Without a shiny and without the Incognito spawns, such an event is not very interesting for those coming from afar. In this case, the time investment is not worth it.
Not only in Berlin, but everywhere in the world, there is now Dialga to battle. Trainers have even defeated it in pairs:
In Fortnite a new update is coming today. We look at the patch notes for 8.01 in English. The bottle rockets are flying out again, but the treasure map is new in the game.
The first patch for Season 8 is coming to the servers today. Fortnite is taking new steps with the treasure map.
Highlights of the patch notes for Fortnite Battle Royale 8.01
This is what the treasure map can do: The treasure map is legendary and can be found on the ground and in chests. One can only carry one map.
The map shows where chests are buried. They contain legendary loot.
You have to dig with a pickaxe at the spot marked on the map.
Funcom, known for online games like The Secret World, Conan Exiles, and Age of Conan, has announced a strategy game called Conan Unconquered. However, it offers some unique features.
In Conan Unconquered, you face wave after wave of enemies.
You do not complete traditional missions that guide you through a story.
You need to search the game world for resources.
With the resources, you quickly construct buildings and defensive structures and train armies to fend off the attacks.
Wave after wave of opponents reach your base, and you fight for your survival.
Each wave of attacks is stronger than the last.
You determine in the settings whether there is a limited number of attack waves or whether you fight against an infinite number of enemies for as long as you can.
Each game plays out differently as the maps are randomly generated.
You need to act tactically since each type of enemy uses special attacks and has different weaknesses.
What is special about the game? In Conan Unconquered, you can play not only solo but also cooperatively with a friend. Through matchmaking, you can even be assigned random teammates.
It is necessary to proceed strategically together since in cooperative mode the enemies are even more numerous and aggressive. You can only fend off the waves of attacks together.
One player can take care of building new structures and making repairs, while the other leads the armies into battle.
The gameplay principle is somewhat reminiscent of the strategy games They Are Billions and Frostpunk.

Who is developing Conan Unconquered? The developer studio behind the RTS is Petroglyph, known for strategy games such as:
Command & Conquer
Star Wars: Empire at War
Petroglyph is working together with Funcom on the game, which has previously released other titles in the Conan universe, including the MMORPG Age of Conan and the survival game Conan Exiles.
How is the game being received? On Reddit, many are interested in the RTS, especially because it dares to try something new in the genre.
DeCiWolf writes: “It looks like you are mixing Stronghold with They Are Billions and a bit of Age of Empires. What a mix. I hope it works!”
When will the RTS be released? The release of Conan Unconquered is currently planned for the second quarter of 2019. So far, only a PC version has been announced.
With the patch on March 5th, a new mount has been added to Guild Wars 2. This mount is specifically designed for the World vs. World mode but can also be used anywhere else in the game. In this guide, we will tell you how to obtain the mount Warclaw.
Requirements for the mount: To unlock the new Warclaw, you must have the Path of Fire expansion. You cannot unlock the mount with only the Free-to-Play version or the first expansion alone.
To unlock the Warclaw, you have to complete a collection. To activate the new collection, you need one World Ability Point, which is automatically available to you.
Simply press “B” when you are in World vs. World and allocate the first point in the “Warclaw Mastery” path.
The “Warclaw Companion” Collection
To complete the collection, you need to complete a total of eight small tasks. All of them must be completed in World vs. World. A large part of the tasks can even be completed in the Mist’s Edge.
Warclaw Emblem: The first task was to unlock the Warclaw Emblem. You completed this automatically by allocating the point.
Warclaw Collar: For this achievement, you need to conquer a fortress in World vs. World. Each map has three fortresses, and in the Eternal Battlegrounds, thanks to Castle Steinnebel, there are even four.
Fortresses have two gates/walls, so you need a larger group to capture them.
Warclaw Horns: For this part of the collection, you must conquer a camp. These are the small, unfortified outposts on the maps.
Camps can be easily captured alone. However, there are no camps in the Mist’s Edge, so you must go to the Borderlands or the Eternal Battlegrounds for this task.
Warclaw Saddle: For the Warclaw Saddle, you must capture a tower. Towers have a gate and usually require additional players to be captured.
Warclaw Helm: For the Warclaw Helm, you need to complete a WvW reward track. This track is automatically unlocked with the collection but must be activated by you. You can find it in the WvW menu.
You fill the reward track by performing activities in World vs. World. Additionally, you receive a potion for daily WvW achievements that grants you progress in this track.
Warclaw Body Armor: You can buy the body armor from a special vendor at the spawn point in the Borderlands in WvW. You need 50 WvW Skirmish Tickets for this, which you can also earn through activities in WvW.
The difference here is that you receive rewards for playing in a single session and that things like World Rank and the placement of your server in WvW influence the speed of earning.
Warclaw Leg Armor: You can purchase the leg armor from the same WvW vendor as the body armor. This time, however, you need to spend 250 Honor Badges.
You earn this currency by ranking up in the WvW ranks.
Warclaw Tail Armor: This item is dropped by enemy guards. The chance for this is 10%.
Unlock the mount: Finally, you need to visit the special vendor again and purchase the mount for 8 Gold.
Unlock All Skills of the Warclaw
After you have unlocked the Warclaw through the collection, you can teach it additional skills.
What can the Warclaw do? The following skills are available for the Warclaw:
Dodge – By pressing the spacebar, you leap forward with your mount, dodging attacks. Dodging consumes one stamina bar as usual.
War Hammer – The first attack of the mount deals damage and bleeding, and you will be dismounted. In the improved version, this attack also defeats all opposing players in the downstate.
Sniff – This skill marks all enemy players within a radius of 5,000 on the map. However, invisible players are not detected.
Chain Pull – With the Chain Pull skill, the Warclaw can deal damage to enemy gates. However, supplies will be consumed, and only three mounts can pull at a gate simultaneously.
What do I need to do for the additional skills? To unlock the first collection, you had to spend one World Ability Point in the corresponding path.
For all further skills, you will also need to allocate points there. You need a total of 126 World Ability Points for all skills and traits.
Anthem was announced with some cool trailers. Players are now asking on Reddit: Where are some of the features from the videos in the game?
What are players missing? In the Anthem subreddit, player TheWalkingDerp_ has compiled some features from trailers and gameplay videos. These things were seen in the videos, but cannot be found in the finished game. Among other things, he lists these features:
Starting missions from a Strider
Sudden explosions or dense flocks of birds in the open game world
The dynamic appearance of enemies, rather than appearing from a portal
These features are missing according to TheWalkingDerp_. Source: Reddit
The post has already accumulated over 7000 upvotes and 1300 comments. Some players agree with TheWalkingDerp_ or write themselves what they miss from the trailers or what they would like to see in the game.
What do players wish for? Many players who responded in the post wish to enter the Strongholds through the open game world. One player wishes to jump straight into Freeplay and then have access to everything that can be done in the game.
Another Freelancer misses the specific behavior of enemies. Trailers often showed camps of different enemy factions and how the creatures went about their daily work. In the finished game, you rather fly to a spot where the enemies then appear.
Players wish for more life in the game world.
This is BioWare’s response: The lead producer Ben Irving has spoken in the post and said that things change during game development. There are millions of reasons why ideas evolve.
BioWare has shared as much as possible with players. Some things are not as they were during development. However, this is not because BioWare was not honest at the time, but because features would have evolved during development.
Do you also miss features from the trailers? What would you like to see in the game?
Next, a patch is coming to Anthem again. This is what BioWare says:
Apex Legends is an exceptionally popular game that even people who usually don’t like Battle Royale enjoy. Our author Jürgen has figured out the real reason why you love Apex Legends.
Where does the data come from? Under articles about Apex Legends, the new and popular Battle Royale shooter from the Titanfall creators Respawn Entertainment, it has often been said, “I don’t like Battle Royale games, but I have fun here!”
This seemed strange to me, and I wanted to know why you particularly enjoy Apex, while you tend to dismiss PUBG, Fortnite, and others. I created a survey and provided the following aspects:
The different playable legends from Apex, a feature that no other game in the genre has managed to pull off well yet.
The excellent gunplay that avoids annoying random factors.
That the game is not for children as it is brutal, dark-humored, and clearly rated 18+.
To that, I added the fun argument “It’s a BR shooter without building!” as a little dig at Fortnite since only there do opponents first build a house when shot at.
I know from some colleagues and friends that this annoys them terribly, so I also included this somewhat tongue-in-cheek reason in the survey.
The main reason why Apex is so popular: It’s not Fortnite!
Here are the results of the survey: Over 1,300 participants voted in the survey, and the result was clear. With 423 votes, the reason “It’s a BR shooter without building!” won decisively.
Apparently, for many of you, Apex is already worth a look just because it’s not Fortnite, and building there annoys you just as much as it annoys me.
Building in Fortnite isn’t for everyone.
Indeed, building in Fortnite is an important feature that clearly separates good players from noobs. Those who prefer shooting and do not like to build or farm materials will rarely succeed in Fortnite.
Players who are good shooter players but don’t get along with building should find Apex to be the right game.
The remaining reasons for Apex were rated as follows:
In Pokémon GO a new battle event has started. In addition to numerous bonuses, Shiny Mankey and Shiny Machop can also be caught for the first time.
This is the battle event: Since yesterday evening, March 5th at 10 PM, this event revolving around battle Pokémon has been running. You can find Fighting-type Pokémon everywhere in the wild. Additionally, there are more bonuses related to battles in gyms and PvP.
The event lasts: You have a week to take advantage of the event. The battle showdown ends on March 12th at 9 PM.
These are the bonuses from the event – Shiny Mankey and Machop
This is what you get: The battle event brings you numerous bonuses. It is mainly about fighting, which is rewarded more.
The main characters in the event: Mankey and Machop
Instead of one reward, you get up to 3 rewards from battles against team leaders
These Shinies are new: There are also two new Shiny forms in the game. Now you can catch Machop and Mankey as shiny Pokémon.
This is what the Shinies of Mankey and Machop look like.
In addition to these two Shinies, you can also find Makuhita and Meditite more frequently in the wild. These two Pokémon can also be shiny.
There is a new move: In line with the battle event, there is also a new Fighting-type move to learn. This move stays permanently in the game. Some Pokémon can now learn Counter. These include:
Quappo
Nockchan
Kangaskhan
Medicham
Lucario
These are the 5 new field researches – Quests for the battle event
Along with the event start, there are also 5 new field researches that you need to solve. These quests have already been found in the code by Dataminer Chrales.
Jungglut is one of the rewards
Catch 5 Fighting-type Pokémon
Reward: Encounter with a Machoke
Catch 3 Makuhita or Meditite
Reward: Encounter with a Torchic
Land 2 great throws in a row
Reward: Encounter with a Hitmonchan
Win 3 raids
Reward: An Elite TM
Use a very effective charged move in 7 raids or gym battles
Reward: A charged TM
These quests are still worth it: From the current field researches in March, there are also 2 quests that are particularly worthwhile for the current event:
Battle in a gym
Reward: Encounter with a Mankey or Machop
Battle 5 times in a gym
Reward: Encounter with a Machop
From these two quests, you can also obtain the shiny form of the Pokémon.
Today, on March 6th, the Fortnite servers will be taken down across all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android). How long will the servers be down and when can you get back in? MeinMMO has the information!
What is happening today in Fortnite? After the new Season 8 has been out for a week, there is more for Fortnite fans today. However, before you can try out the new update, there will be maintenance.
The new Season 8 in Fortnite is about pirates and treasures
Fortnite servers are going down – when will they be back online?
When will the server maintenance start? Around 9:30 AM German time, you will no longer be able to join new lobbies, but you can still finish active games.
At 10 AM, the servers will be taken down for update 8.0.1, and Fortnite will no longer be accessible.
How long will the maintenance take? Usually, Epic delivers smaller patches in a relatively short time. You should be able to get back in by noon at the latest.
If there are unforeseen complications that extend the maintenance, you will be informed as usual on MeinMMO. Just like the patch notes, which will be released shortly after the downtime starts.
Pirate and Fishsticks on a treasure hunt
What can you expect after the patch in Battle Royale mode? Not much is known yet, but leaks suggest that you will be able to go on a treasure hunt after the update. Theories suggest that a treasure map leads to a chest with great loot. However, how this will look in reality is still unknown.
Moreover, Epic has already announced that various sound bugs will be fixed, which emerged at the beginning of Season 8. Players are also currently unhappy about the drop rate of the assault rifles. These, according to the criticism, are found significantly less often than the infantry rifle, which is not very popular (except with Ninja).
The controversial infantry rifle in Fortnite
It is quite possible that Epic will already work on the loot distribution today.
What can players expect for the PvE mode Save the World? The previously known roadmap was limited to update 8.0, which was rolled out last week. So far, it is only known that there will be a number of bug fixes. The patch notes will shed light on this.
Are you excited about the update? What do you think the treasure maps will do?
At The Division 2, the launch trailer has been released. This already sets the stage for the release in mid-March.
When is the release of The Division 2? The Division 2 will be released worldwide on March 15, 2019. This is the official release date for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The launch trailer: About a week before the release, Ubisoft has now released a launch trailer. Watch it here:

This is shown in the trailer: In the trailer, various Division agents speak to you. They introduce the setting that you can expect at the release.
A man tells that they, the Division agents, were normal people. With a normal life. They were trained underground and were supposed to be deployed only in extreme emergencies. Seven months ago, this emergency occurred – the sleeper agents of the Division were activated.
A woman reports that they fight for the unity of the country. When they thought the tide had turned, an emergency call came from Washington.
Another man points out the current situation: The capital – Washington D.C. – is falling. The leaders are dead or missing. The nation stands on the brink of collapse. And the Division agents are the only ones who can save them. The last hope. The people who fight to reclaim D.C.
The trailer ends with the words that this will go down in history. In the original English, this slogan reads, “History will remember us.”
In the trailer, you can observe not only shootouts but also see several skills in action. Including the “Drone Stick” (from 1:40), which fires multiple projectiles at enemies:
The setting of The Division 2: The Division 2 takes place seven months after the events of part one. While in The Division 1 you had to maintain law and order in snowy New York, where a virus pandemic originated, in the second part you will be drawn to summer Washington D.C.
There, new enemy factions have formed that want to take over the capital. As Division agents, you must form the last line of defense to stop the factions and protect the civilian population.
In recent years, every major games-as-a-service title has faced the same criticism at launch: a lack of endgame content. The Division 2 aims to do this differently, focusing from the start on the gameplay after reaching max level, on the endgame.
This is the big goal of the developers: Since the announcement of The Division 2, developer Massive has always emphasized that they place great importance on the endgame.
Right from the start on March 15th, the shared-world shooter should have enough content to keep players motivated for a long time.
Why is this so important? To understand this, one must look at the history of The Division 1. At release, there was hardly anything to do in the endgame after completing the story. This drew much criticism, and Massive had to make significant improvements.
Destiny and The Division were often criticized for similar issues
Similar criticism was directed at other shooters like Anthem and Destiny 2. This is a general problem with such games-as-a-service titles:
Destiny 2, at release, focused heavily on the beginning but less on the endgame, which frustrated fans.
Can Massive avoid the problem? In fact, it looks like The Division 2 could be successful in its aim to offer a diverse and rewarding endgame right from the start.
With the extensive campaign, which also continues into the endgame, a complex build system, and PvP and PvE activities such as Conflict and the Dark Zone, there is plenty to do in The Division 2.
We show you what awaits you in the endgame if Massive’s plans succeed.

After the story, it continues
Like its predecessor, The Division 2 has a large story campaign that can be completed solo or in a group. However, there are some differences compared to the campaign in part 1.
What was it like in The Division 1? Even in the predecessor, the campaign was relatively long with an average playing time of 20 hours.
But once you were through, you could only replay all missions. The story was over, there was no real continuation. Even in the expansions, there were hardly any new story elements apart from a few audio logs.
This is how it will be in The Division 2: According to the developers, the campaign in The Division 2 will last around 40 hours, making it longer than in part 1. Moreover, the end is far from being the end.
Once you’ve completed it and reached the endgame, a twist comes into play in the form of a new faction, which expands the campaign.
With this faction called Black Tusk, the story should also continue. However, what these further story contents look like is not yet known. At least it is clear that the story is not yet finished after the campaign.
This faction awaits you after the story
Black Tusk stirs up the endgame
The endgame faction Black Tusk is superior to the other hostile groups in The Division 2. They appear as soon as you reach max level 30 and complete the story. Their goal is to take control of Washington D.C.
This is Black Tusk: Not much is known about this faction yet. It is only certain that they are significantly superior to the other factions in terms of technology, weaponry, and strategy.
Black Tusk appears in almost all areas of The Division 2. In the open world, they capture control points, fight you, civilians, and other hostile factions like the True Sons or Hyenas.
Additionally, there are new variations of story missions called Invaded missions.
What are Invaded missions? The Invaded missions can be seen as alternative versions of the standard story missions that can be repeated.
Instead of the normal factions, you only encounter Black Tusk in the Invaded missions. And that changes these missions in multiple ways:
Black Tusk uses technologies such as robo-dogs, bomb drones, and other dangerous gadgets
The AI behaves smarter and acts more tactically
The number of enemies is significantly increased
Spawn points are random, so missions do not always follow the exact same pattern
What do these missions bring me? They are ideal for farming better loot. Additionally, the challenge increases, so those who want demanding battles can play the Invaded missions directly at the highest difficulty settings.
You can freely switch between these and develop each to the maximum. Furthermore, additional Specializations are planned for the future.
This is the story of the Dark Zone: One of the flagship features of part 1 is the Dark Zone. In the world of The Division 2, a deadly virus has plunged the great nations worldwide into chaos.
The Dark Zones exist, as far as we know, in New York and Washington D.C. Here, the contamination from the virus is particularly strong. Following this, the government has sealed off these neighborhoods, leaving everyone inside to fend for themselves.
This is the Dark Zone in the game: In these isolated areas of the open world, PvP and PvE are mixed. Players can hunt for loot while also taking out other players.
In doing so, they can either go rogue and steal loot from killed players or hunt down rogues themselves. Good gear is often contaminated and must first be extracted via helicopter. This takes some time.
During this time, players are vulnerable as everyone on the map can see when someone calls a helicopter. This makes the Dark Zone exciting; you never know how an encounter will turn out.
Overall, there are even 3 different Dark Zones in The Division 2, located in the west, south, and east of Washington D.C.
The Division 2 not only focuses on story and gear. PvP is also an important part for the developers. Therefore, there will be a dedicated PvP area called Conflict at launch.
These PvP modes are included in Conflict: At the launch of The Division 2, PvP enthusiasts can look forward to two modes:
Skirmish: This is a classic team deathmatch, where 4 compete against 4
Domination: Here, the goal is to capture and hold 3 points on the map against an opposing 4-man team.
The maps for these PvP modes have been custom made for this purpose.
Once you’re done with the story, you have not only Black Tusk to fight against. Other factions are also eager to take on you and the civilians in their settlements. This fight continues even after the main mission.
There’s always something happening in D.C.
This is what you can expect in the game world: Civilians constantly need your support in securing Washington D.C., which is why it’s always about holding or freeing control points.
The game world functions dynamically; there is always something to kill or someone to help. You can also just roam the world, gather resources, and assist civilian settlements in their projects.
In doing so, you can provide them with food and materials that you find in the world. In exchange, there are rewards such as blueprints.
Civilians live in organized settlements that you can visit.
Story missions can be repeated
Another activity you can engage in is the repetition of story missions. With higher difficulty settings, you can also earn better loot and put your upgraded gear to the test.
What difficulty levels are available? So far, these difficulty levels are confirmed:
Easy
Normal
Hard
Will there be more levels? Nothing is confirmed yet. However, it is very likely that there will be higher difficulty levels as well. In the endgame of the predecessor, there were also the difficulty levels Challenging, Heroic, and Legendary.
There are extensive side missions and smaller tasks
Apart from the main story, The Division 2 offers a variety of side missions that you can complete.
While these were rather uninteresting and repetitive in part 1, they are “handmade” in The Division 2, and each mission is unique. Some even rival the main missions of part 1 in scope.
Additionally, there are regular bounty missions where you can hunt down important targets.
1st raid after release
It has been known for some time that multiple raids are planned for The Division 2. The first is called “Dark Hours” and is set to be released shortly after The Division 2.
This is what is known about the raid so far: Up to 8 players can participate in the raid activity together. The setting is the Washington Ronald Reagan Airport and is expected to be quite large.
The Division 2 builds on the systems of its predecessor and revamps much of it. The result seems to be a complex loot and gear system that allows for many freedoms.
This is also one of the core points from which lessons were learned from part 1. At release, the situation there was rather dismal.
This is how it was in The Division 1: At release, part 1 only had 5 rarity levels:
Gray (common)
Green (uncommon)
Blue (rare)
Purple (epic)
Yellow (HighEnd)
Initially, it was the peak experience, later HighEnd items were as common as sand
However, there were hardly any differences between the levels. The values increase with increasing rarity, and HighEnd parts have more values than a green item. Nevertheless, there was hardly any variation; builds hardly felt different.
It took several months before this changed with the introduction of gear sets.
This is how it will be in The Division 2: Massive does not want to repeat this mistake with The Division 2. Thus, while gear is based on the same principle, there are several innovations. For example, the Brand sets, which categorize your gear into different brands.
This is how Brand sets work: Depending on the brand, there are different bonuses. If you wear multiple set pieces from the same brand, further bonuses are unlocked.
These bonuses can, for example, increase your damage with SMGs or make you more resilient. With Brand sets, you can thus adapt and refine your playstyle.
Brands can also be combined with gear sets, which make their comeback in The Division 2. Completing them will be part of the endgame this time; you won’t have to wait until after release to start.
The logos tell you which brand each part has.
Gear sets are back – one is now known
Until now, there was little information about gear sets. They have been confirmed for a while, and now the first was officially presented by Gamespot.com. It is called “The True Patriot” and is different from what was known from the gear sets of the predecessor.
This is what a Classified gear build looks like in The Division 1
This is how gear sets worked in The Division 1: Gear sets were introduced only after release. These are named sets that could unlock bonuses if you equipped multiple parts of the same set.
Initially, there were only sets with up to 4 bonuses available, later followed by Classified sets with up to 6. The first bonus is unlocked as soon as you equip two parts from the same set.
This is perhaps the biggest change: Unlike the gear sets in The Division 1, you must wear the complete set to utilize the gear set’s abilities.
Besides the gear sets, exotic gear also returns. These are unique weapons and armor pieces that come with special designs and bonuses.
This is what is known about Exotics so far: Although there were already some Exotics in the predecessor, for The Division 2 it is promised that no exotic item will be recycled. Each Exotic will be unique and new.
Similar to Destiny, you can only carry one weapon and one piece of exotic gear. How powerful they are is currently unknown. However, those who love collecting will already have a lot to do.
While the Brands and Gear sets build on the systems of the predecessor, Specializations are a new feature in The Division 2. These are only available from level 30 and are meant to give you even more options in determining your playstyle.
What are Specializations? These are primarily additional skill trees that offer you various advantages and a unique weapon. A total of 3 different Specializations are available at launch:
Destruction Expert: Grenade Launcher
Sharpshooter: .50 Caliber Sniper Rifle
Survival Specialist: Crossbow
If you play with one of these Specializations, you can unlock passive bonuses and unique skill mods in the respective skill tree.

In Anthem you can extensively customize your Javelins. Some players have recreated famous characters from series, movies, comics, or games. We show you 7 examples that you might recognize.
Although Anthem is primarily an online game centered around looting, players can engage in a variety of other activities.
For many players, customizing their Javelins is part of the experience, as the options are diverse and provide significant creative freedom. Here are 7 Javelins whose inspirations you are surely familiar with.
User Andre Rozzante introduced his N7 Soldier on Twitter. N7 is an elite unit from the Mass Effect universe, a popular game series from Bioware, who are also known for developing Anthem.
This is what the Interceptor from Frieza might look like.
One of the most famous villains in anime history can now also be found in Anthem. At least that’s what player Grinchmaen attempted with an Interceptor.
This was also quite successful; Dragon Ball fans should recognize the Frieza Interceptor. And wonder what the golden Frieza might look like.
War Machine (Marvel, Iron Man)
The Ranger in War Machine style
Since the announcement of Anthem, the gameplay, feel, and appearance of the Javelins have often been compared to Iron Man. Many fans customize their Javelins accordingly.
However, there is also War Machine. Sure, the character is not as popular as Iron Man, but he still deserves a bit of love. This version is also from Grinchmaen and is quite impressive.
The Hulkbuster (Marvel, Iron Man)
One cannot completely forgo Iron Man. User Big_T2 on Twitter showcased his impressive variant of the large Iron Suit.
The Colossus has long been seen as a candidate to recreate a Hulkbuster. Therefore, this will not be the first version.
Buzz Lightyear (Disney, Toy Story)
We have already reported that some players customize their Javelins to resemble toys from the Disney film Toy Story.
Four players even devised a group design and chose the Ninja Turtles for their Javelins. They chose their colors according to the individual characters.
Raphael (Red),
Donatello (Purple),
Leonardo (Blue)
and Michelangelo (Orange)
They initially presented the quartet on Reddit. They call themselves “The 4 Brothers of Anthem.”
Dr. Doom (Marvel, Fantastic Four)
The Storm as Dr. Doom fits perfectly.
Dr. Doom is also known as Dr. Malice in Germany (sometimes translations are just not necessary) and is the main antagonist of the Fantastic Four in most comics.
Appropriately, he is considered a powerful sorcerer, which fits well with the elemental abilities of the Storm. Visually, the look is really fitting, and the creative mind behind it is again Grinchmaen.
Which of the Javelins do you like best?
In keeping with the theme, we now want to know from you which of the 7 presented creations and ideas you like best.

Destiny 1 was released in 2014 and actually replaced by its successor in 2017. How is the original doing today, despite Destiny 2?
This is how Destiny 1 was: The original in the Destiny universe was released by Bungie in 2014 and initially faced several challenges. The community was particularly frustrated with the lack of content and the strange story.
The content was expanded with the two DLCs “The Dark Below” and “House of Wolves” as well as with the expansions “The Taken King” and “Rise of Iron.” The storyline surrounding the “Taken King” Oryx in “The Taken King” marked the peak of Destiny 1.
At the end of the game cycle, the developers released the final update Age of Triumph, which added new items and rewards, as well as revamped activities.
The Age of Triumph brought new rewards and a book for milestones.
The Age of Triumph was very popular and gratefully welcomed by the players. Destiny 1 was on track to become the shooter that the Guardians had always wished for.
To make matters worse, there were no more random rolls – random perks that made weapons unique. Particularly, the hunt for a so-called “God Roll” had kept the Guardians busy in Destiny 1 for a long time.
Forsaken brought some Destiny 1 feeling back, but it killed Cayde-6.
This is how Destiny 1 is doing today
Here’s why Guardians play Destiny 1:The US site Polygon spoke with several players from the Destiny community for an article who still cling to Destiny 1 and are reluctant to transition to its successor.
One of the reasons is the lack of endgame content at the launch of Destiny 2, which became particularly noticeable after the Age of Triumph. One Guardian stated that he could always fall back on Destiny 1 when there was nothing to do in Destiny 2.
Even today, the community is vibrant, especially since everything is playable in Destiny 1, except for the holiday events that have been discontinued in favor of Destiny 2.
The community is quite healthy. It is held together by an intense dislike for Destiny 2. I can hardly join a party without someone (quite rightly) complaining about D2 because it is a bad game and inferior to its predecessor.
What is the appeal of Destiny 1? Even after the release of Forsaken for Destiny 2, some Guardians still cannot separate themselves from Destiny 1. For example, there is the Destiny Legacy subreddit, which is solely focused on Destiny 1 and is still well visited.
Some players from this subreddit still enjoy looking back at Destiny 1 and hunting for items that are only available in the original. Others play both games and enjoy the established world in Destiny 1 while there are new things to discover in Destiny 2.
With a sword against a god: The Destiny 1 raid Crota’s End
Guardian morphine_sulfate, for example, says that the raid Crota’s End has brought him back to Destiny 1 more often to collect the items he has not yet obtained in the game.
Some players claim that the legacy community of Destiny died with the release of Forsaken. Others counter that they have no trouble finding a group to do a raid in Destiny 1 or to shake things up in the crucible.
What about you? Do you still visit Destiny 1 or have you completely transitioned to Destiny 2?
The community of Fallout 76 keeps coming up with cool ideas. Some of these ideas even come directly from you, the readers of MeinMMO. Today, we present to you a particularly cool idea from a user: a biker bar.
What kind of bar is this? Our reader Philipp Bungenberg recently shared his own creation in our Fallout group on Facebook. From his C.A.M.P., available to players in Fallout 76, he has created a multi-level bar called “Greaser’s”.
He has also shared some pictures that show the interior of the bar and the building itself. Philipp built the tavern with rustic wood, giving the building a hint of a smoky biker bar.
Inside the bar, instruments await live music and crafting stations for the workaholics. For relaxation, there is a rooftop bar, chairs to unwind, a jukebox, and even a pool table.
This is what the creator says about the tavern: Philipp has been a drummer for many years, loves rock and blues, and has played more than 200 hours of Fallout 76. Thus the idea arose to create a meeting place for the scene in Appalachia as well:
It is difficult to find a good blues bar, a pub with relaxed people, or generally good concerts far away from mass consumption. And since it is almost impossible in real life to set something like this up, I wanted to express myself in Appalachia as best I could.
With some new building plans, he wants to expand the Greaser’s a bit more, as soon as the necessary atoms are available. C.A.M.P.s provide a great opportunity for such and similar ideas:
After many hours of work, Philipp, with the help of some friends, finally constructed the Greaser’s. You are all warmly invited to visit the bar on PS4!
This is what other readers say: So far, the bar is quite well received. In the comments in our group, Philipp receives a lot of approval from other Fallout 76 fans, and many want to definitely visit the bar.
What do you think of the bar? Would you like to stop by?
If you want to build something cool yourself, there is a trick for your camp:
