However, now there are some thumbs down. Some do not like that PlayWith releases a “Buy2Play” game and switches it to F2P within a year and closes it.
There is actually some nasty criticism in the Steam ratings. One critic even feels cheated out of his money and accuses the publisher of having planned the end from the beginning.

How to win the money? You need to start the time trial on the public map of GTA Online. So drive to the marker on the map. Then you have 1 minute and 24.2 seconds to reach the finish line.
The time is tight. Any accident can cost you the victory. If you manage to beat the required time, you will receive a one-time payment of 101,000 GTA dollars.

The course layout: The track is quite simple. Once you set a target point, just follow it. There are a few tighter turns, but otherwise no special features.

Just before the finish line, you leave the main track onto a small side path, that’s at the orange exclamation mark on the map. Be careful at the end. At the red exclamation mark, if you are going too fast, you could tumble into the sea. Then the race is over.
If you are careful there, you should reach the finish on time without any problems. Then you will receive the 101,000 GTA dollars.

Where does the information come from? The information comes from the site Dexerto. They claim to have received internal details from sources familiar with the matter, but whose names should not be disclosed.
Dexerto states that they have a list featuring experienced individuals who are expected to leave soon. Additionally, they publish some quotes from the sources regarding what is currently driving people out of Blizzard.
Who is supposed to leave? One name has been published by Dexerto. Allegedly, Kim Phan, Global Product Director of Blizzard Esports, is set to leave. She has been with the company for 13 years and has specifically been responsible for eSports for several years.
In an interview with Dotesports from late 2018, Phan explained that her job is to manage eSports at Blizzard – except for Overwatch and Hearthstone. Although Phan used to work on both games, by now they have become so large that they have their own leads.
Phan has helped to grow Blizzard’s eSports team from about 6 to over 60 employees in recent years. Phan spends most of her time with franchises like Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft, or Starcraft, she stated back in December 2018.
Overwatch League’s head, Nate Nanzer, has already left Blizzard.
Allegedly, Activision cares too much about money in eSports
What is the problem at Blizzard? Dexerto reports that there is growing dissatisfaction within Blizzard’s eSports team regarding the direction Activision is taking.
Some employees are tired of working under Pete Vlastelica. He is the President and CEO of Activision Blizzard eSports.
Vlastelica is allegedly focusing on the commercialization of eSports rather than developing good programs for the community.
Fans of the Overwatch League.
Many hold Vlastelica responsible for this negative development, according to the sources. It weighs on morale, particularly among the teams of Overwatch and Call of Duty.
Vlastelica comes from traditional television, from the US network Fox. He was responsible for digital output and content creation there. Some employees at Blizzard doubt that this experience equips him to make decisions in eSports.
The sources say they feel that management at Activision Blizzard does not understand eSports and pursues a vision of presenting eSports as it is shown on television. This makes some people unhappy. However, management is not willing to discuss this.
Many associate Mike Morhaime’s departure with a changed climate at Blizzard.

With the Season of Opulence, some bugs in Destiny 2 are also being fixed. For example, a bug that particularly annoyed shader users. Shaders and other items can now be applied seamlessly the first time.
What bug is it? Even nearly two years after the release of Destiny 2, some bugs still drive the Guardians to despair. With the Season of Opulence, starting on June 4, Bungie is finally addressing a very annoying bug.
Shaders can finally be applied to the desired item on the first attempt. As Bungie announced in the last TWaB, the bug where shaders, ornaments, holograms, or consumables were not applied on the first attempt is supposed to be fixed.
Shaders and other consumables often need to be “applied” multiple times in Destiny 2.
How does the bug manifest? More often than players would like, the shaders they want to apply simply do not transfer to the item. Guardians have been reporting for some time that they sometimes have to apply shaders multiple times.
The attempt just breaks off on its own right before the process has completed.
This is supposed to change with the new season and the accompanying patch. Players can still stop the application of shaders themselves, for instance by pressing the “Preview” button, leaving the inventory early, or releasing the “Apply” button too soon.
What do the players say? Players already complained about the application function of shaders and items during the past Winter Event “The Dawning”. Back then, there were also problems with the holiday oven, where Guardians had to bake treats for NPCs, in addition to the shaders, ornaments, and consumables.
At that time, players assumed it had to do with latency or that they had released the button too early.
The fact that this is indeed a bug and that it is finally supposed to be fixed is well received in the community.
Some players have already stated that they will change all their shaders in celebration of the bug fix.

For many, the prank is a “classic WoW initiation rite,” one they fell for themselves 15 years ago. Veterans even tell stories from their time as WoW noobs: “A friend thought when he dies in Warsong Gulch, his character is gone forever, so he just hid.”
Many, however, complain that they haven’t received an invitation for the beta, even though they are WoW veterans, while streamers are now running around in WoW Classic who apparently have no idea what they are doing.
The interesting thing about the clip is: The beauty here is that for someone like Pokimane, WoW Classic is so “old” that it seems quite plausible that in this MMORPG, completely different, archaic rules apply – a mix of single-player and multiplayer.
It’s an online game where you would actually need to save. But that was just a joke to scare MMORPG beginners even 15 years ago.
Why is 2019 suddenly back to 2005? Currently, first stress tests for WoW Classic are taking place. The version of the MMORPG is turning the clock back and returns the MMORPG to its roughly vanilla state from 2005.
A player apparently thought: Well, maybe the old jokes from back then will work again.

For Destiny 2, developer Bungie has now announced that they will soon talk about a “new era” of the online shooter Destiny 2 and their own new era. What could they mean by that?
This is the statement from Bungie: In the last “This Week at Bungie,” Community Manager DeeJ made this announcement:
Once Season 7 has started and the raid belts have been distributed, we will look deeper into the future and share more about Bungie’s new era and Destiny 2.

Why is this exciting? Four questions arise from this statement:
When exactly will Bungie present this new era?
When does the new era of Destiny 2 and Bungie begin?
What does Bungie’s new era without Activision support look like?
What is planned for the new era of Destiny 2 – how will the shooter continue after the year with the Annual Pass?
When will the era be discussed? That is probably the easiest question. It can only refer to the E3 2019. It basically starts on June 8, so that’s only two weeks away.
At the fair, Bungie also introduced previous expansions. However, this time there is no Sony press conference – so we’ll have to see where Destiny 2 appears.
DeeJ’s statement also means that we will learn nothing about Destiny 3 at E3 2019, as DeeJ specifically talks about the new era of “Destiny 2”, not the Destiny franchise.
When does the new era begin? It is expected to begin in September 2019. Traditionally, that is the start of a Destiny year. However, in 2019, Borderlands 3 takes the release spot that had previously been reserved for major Destiny releases.

What is the new era for Destiny 2? This is currently completely open. It boils down to more or less three options:
Another Annual Pass (Year 2 for Destiny 2) or paid, small DLCs (Year 1 for Destiny 1 and 2)

A mega surprise would be if there were a “big expansion” like Forsaken in September 2019 – along with either option 1 or 2. Activision actually excluded this at the time with the comment that they expect no major revenues from Destiny in 2019.
Let’s see what the “new era” of Bungie and Destiny 2 will bring. One thing is clear: at the moment, Bungie’s communication still sounds like the “old era,” but the new one hasn’t started yet.
The developers of Dead by Daylight announced how Freddy Krueger is to be revamped. The Nightmare Killer is finally going to be dangerous again.
What is the problem? Freddy Krueger has long been a playable killer in Dead by Daylight, but he fell out of favor with fans shortly after his release. It was not fun to play against him, and playing as him was a frustrating experience.
After months of delays, the developers of Dead by Daylight have finally announced his rework and revealed some initial details. He will get completely new abilities.
The new abilities of Freddy Krueger in Dead by Daylight
Overall, the entire set of abilities is being overhauled:
The sleep mode will be adjusted and is now something that happens passively with the survivors.
Additionally, Freddy can perform different actions in the dream world.
Freddy is laughing – his rework seems to be good.
This is how the new sleep rhythm works: The sleep now comes passively over the survivors; Freddy no longer needs to use it actively. The passage of time ensures that the survivors sink deeper into sleep. The most important thing is that Freddy can now attack the survivors at any time – regardless of which phase they are in.
Phase 1: In “micro-sleep,” the survivors can hear Freddy’s terror radius. However, they can only spot him in the distance for a few seconds before he becomes invisible and disappears. Only in direct proximity to the killer is he permanently visible.
Phase 2: Freddy is more recognizable as the survivors slowly transition into the dream world. What other gameplay impacts this might have has not been disclosed.
Phase 3: The survivor is fully in the dream world. They no longer hear Freddy’s terror radius, but instead hear singing. This makes it harder to judge the distance to the killer. Additionally, the survivor in the dream world can now be affected by Freddy’s dream abilities.
Survivors will still be able to wake each other up. Alternatively, there are objects on the map (apparently a table with a large alarm clock) that survivors can use to wake themselves up.
Freddy will be able to teleport to generators.
What are Freddy’s dream abilities? In the dream world, Freddy can manipulate the game world and place certain objects that can only be seen by survivors in deep sleep.
The developers are still uncertain if both of these abilities will come; one could also be made available through an addon:
Dream Snares: Freddy can place snares on the ground. Sleeping survivors who step into the radius of the snare trigger it and are significantly slowed down for a while.
Dream Pallets: Freddy can place “false” pallets in the dream world in locations where pallets would normally appear. These pallets look like normal pallets in the dream world but explode in a fountain of blood when survivors use them, thus having no effect.
Freddy can now teleport: Additionally, Freddy has received a new ability, as he no longer has to actively put survivors to sleep. Instead, he can now target a generator across the entire map and activate his ability. The targeted generator sprays blood to indicate that Freddy is materializing here before he actually arrives.

When will the rework be released? There is still no exact date for Freddy’s rework. However, from the roadmap for Year 4 of Dead by Daylight, it can be inferred that the rework for Freddy is to take place in the “Mid Chapter Patch 12.” This would be in about 2 months, so early August 2019. However, this date might change.
Keep in mind with all these details that this is still “work in progress” – many details may change before the release of the rework.

The players of The Elder Scrolls Online are considered particularly friendly. On Reddit, players praise the community of the MMORPG, which is said to be nicer and more helpful than, for example, in WoW.
Not only did Kai Schober, the Community Manager of ESO in Germany, point out in our last stream about ESO on MAX that the community of The Elder Scrolls Online is remarkably nice, friendly, and helpful.
Also on Reddit, the player “Warhungry” praises what he considers a great community of the game and compares it to World of Warcraft: “After three days in the game, I can already say that the people here are much nicer than in WoW. And much more helpful. And not as cranky as in WoW. I love this community!”
The players in The Elder Scrolls Online are so nice
The kind words from Warhungry quickly resonated with the mentioned community. The thread received over 200 comments and 700 upvotes (as of June 1, 2019, at 2:45 PM). Some were simply pleased about the nice words:
“ESO is the Canada of MMOs”
“I raise my dorsal fin in greeting!” [Typical greeting of the Argonian lizardfolk]
Others provided clear examples of how they were positively surprised by the community:
“I was level 30 and asked in the chat if someone could craft me gear for leveling. For a fee, of course. I received a private message immediately asking about my class and build. Shortly thereafter, I was given two full armor and weapon sets, and he even said to let him know when I am champion level 160, then I would get even more. I’ve never experienced something like this in 5 years of MMOs!”
A similar example was actually mentioned during our ESO stream about Elsweyr on MAX, where a player reported that she received 50,000 coins when she asked about mounts to buy a horse.
Another player describes his three years in ESO as follows:
“My character name is Quen, and someone once wrote to me calling me an idiot because I had misspelled “Queen”. That was pretty much the peak of the meanness I have ever experienced in ESO. The ESO community is a picnic with teddy bears compared to other MMO communities.”
Are there no negative examples? Only in one aspect are not all players united in their view of the friendliness of the ESO community: Dungeons seem to occasionally cause negative moods:
“When you start trials [raids] and veteran dungeons, you’ll experience the same crap as in WoW and other MMOs.”
“Too many bad experiences. And then someone always talks trash like ‘How can you have champion rank 300 and not know how x or y works?'”
“Veteran dungeons on Xbox are really cancer! You get people at levels 500 to 800 who have no idea what they’re supposed to do and just keep insulting or kicking the player with the lowest level.”
But there are counterarguments that also apply in the dungeon area
“I was once insulted and kicked, and once someone explained everything to me again in a friendly manner.”
Typically, it is worse during double XP events. All the “elite players” come in droves and want to grab their rewards. And they are usually much less relaxed than the majority of players.
That’s why dungeons are still more relaxed than in WoW: One player finds the dungeons in ESO much more relaxed than in WoW. The reason is that in WoW with mythic+ instances, there would be a time limit, which would greatly encourage toxic behavior among players. In ESO, however, you can take your time and calmly explain the boss to the newcomers.
Jürgen’s conclusion: The ESO community is great
I, Jürgen, can only confirm the statements of ESO players. The community is very helpful and I’ve also received gifts from strangers, in my case fresh fruit.
In dungeons, my teammates were usually friendly and helpful. I can only remember one time when I was insulted and attacked. And in that case, I really acted very dumb and probably deserved it.

The legendary tournament “Fortnite Friday” has now returned on Friday. The tournament is back because FaZe no longer wants Tfue’s money

Kids outshine the elite streamers

The tournament was won by two kids – NRMrSavage (14) and BenjyFishy (15) – BenjyFishy was a big topic in the media just last week because his mother took the 15-year-old out of school so he could have more time for Fortnite.
The online shooter The Division 2 launched in full sprint in March. But those who thought it would only move forward from there are now mistaken. Recently, The Division 2 often stumbles over its own ambitions and small issues, says our author Schuhmann.
It was like this at the beginning: In the first weeks, one had to pinch oneself almost to believe it: The Division 2 had the best start of an MMO shooter. The leveling experience up to World Rank 4 was solid and there was plenty to do.
The developers seemed attentive and close to the community.
But an MMO shooter is not a sprint; it is a marathon.
Already in the second phase of the marathon, when World Rank 5 came, first problems emerged. It became clear that not everything was as great as initially thought:
So it went after the 1st update: Massive essentially said, “Everyone wait a moment, we need to catch our breath.” Then the team took a content break to work on the balance and test new ideas on the test server.
The message was clear: Next, the focus is on the raid, where everything should run optimally. This will be a first highlight for The Division 2.
However, when the race was started again, Massive hardly got out of the starting blocks.
The raid, which many had been waiting for, turned out to be too tough a nut to crack for many on consoles – the raid was apparently only designed for mouse and keyboard. This caused a lot of frustration among gamepad users.
So it continued after the raid: Since the raid went live, Massive has made more setbacks than progress.
An annoying AI bug that came with the raid update caused enemies to behave not like in a tactical shooter, but to charge forward like complete idiots.
Massive seems to be struggling with this error in the current “State of the Game”. It is said that they know how annoying the bug is, also because they play The Division 2 themselves.

In the last State of the Game, a lot was discussed about the small problems that had recently plagued development.
We can only hope that the runner “The Division 2”, which had such a great start, will now recover again. Especially the AI bug was annoying in a “tactical shooter”, as one can also see from the developers’ comments.
They are proud of their AI, which is based on the experiences from part 1. In a tactical shooter, everything stands and falls with the enemy AI.
