Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was not originally conceived as Star Wars. A suggestion from EA guided the game in the right direction.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order brings high expectations. Fans of Star Wars have long been waiting for a new major single-player game. Originally, Jedi: Fallen Order was not even intended to be a title in the Star Wars universe.
What was said? The magazine Gamespot spoke with Stig Asmussen from the development team and touched on the origins of the game. It turns out that Respawn did not actually want to make a game in the “Star Wars” universe.
Instead, they had just pitched another game and presented a demo that had similarities to SoulsBorne games from FromSoftware. The people at EA then said they saw something in the demo that would fit very well for a “Star Wars” game.
The gameplay mechanics existed before the story: The developers accepted the offer. This was hardly a problem in development, as most gameplay mechanics were easy to adapt and transform. There had hardly been any thoughts about the story at that point; first, the gameplay had to work.
Thus, the core mechanics could be easily transferred and adapted into Jedi: Fallen Order. The intended game was also supposed to have a strong focus on melee action, just as will now be the case with lightsaber swinging.
Players should be able to live out power fantasy: However, Jedi: Fallen Order will likely have a significantly different difficulty level than the Soulsborne games for which the developer FromSoftware is famous.
This is mainly because with Star Wars, a larger player base is addressed and not just a relatively small niche that seeks particularly tough challenges. Moreover, you step into the role of an aspiring Jedi, where players should feel powerful.
These little rest phases by the fire could remind one of certain games in the Soulsborne series…
This means, however, that Jedi: Fallen Order will not be a walk in the park. Almost every enemy has some counters against the main character Cal and requires an appropriate strategy to be defeated. Especially in combination, the enemies should act cleverly.
Are you looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order? Or would you have preferred a significantly harder game?
The EA Play 2019 was not a real spectacle for many fans, especially players of Battlefield 5 were disappointed – at least if they are active on reddit. Here are their reasons.
Additionally, there was a look ahead to Chapter 5, which is set to arrive in October 2019. This will primarily focus on the conflict between the USA and Japan.
These issues are seen by players in the announcement
What are the fans complaining about? For many players, the announcements were nothing new. Just a few days ago, DICE uploaded a trailer for the new maps. Now there was only a deeper insight and the first real gameplay.

For many fans, EA Play was just a summary of all the information that had been released in the last few days about Battlefield 5.
These are the statements from players: Especially on Reddit:
Aureliocr: “They just summarized the announcements from the last few months. What a disappointing EA Play event!”
Untamed96: “I woke up at 3 AM for this ‘great’ event…”
Dr40oz: “EA Play was disappointing for Battlefield 5. It felt like they just read their last Reddit update. There was nothing new.”
The new maps, such as Marita, were introduced a few days ago
Who liked the event?
What do the dissenting voices say? Some players found the event not bad. Although there were no new announcements, it summarized what only players who follow Reddit have learned so far.
As Toomadtoplay writes: “Not everyone follows Reddit or other channels where Battlefield 5 shows their announcements. It wouldn’t make sense if they didn’t talk about what to expect next.”
How one experienced EA Play 2019 as a Battlefield 5 player strongly depends on how much information one had beforehand going into the event.
What do you think of the announcements at EA Play? Are you disappointed that there was hardly anything new?
Data miners have uncovered some interesting info about the upcoming exotic hand cannon of Season 7. It is now known what the new firearm “Lumina” can do. This hasn’t been seen before in Destiny 2.
This is what the weapon is about: As part of Season 7, Destiny 2 will be receiving a new exotic hand cannon Lumina. Bungie revealed this in a Roadmap.
Now users in the Raid-Secrets subreddit have supposedly found out what the Lumina is all about in detail. Keep in mind, this is not official info! Enjoy these details with the appropriate caution.
The Dorn
This is what the exotic hand cannon “Lumina” can do
Where does this info come from? A Reddit user stumbled upon the description of an exotic perk while sifting through the data-mining results, which can only belong to Lumina. Comparing it to the Dorn makes it clear why.
What is the Lumina supposed to do? According to data, kills with the weapon (the Lumina) leave remnants, a kind of sphere. If one absorbs a remnant, the next shot from the hip is converted into a “Noble Round,” which refills the magazine partially.
These Noble Rounds track allied targets. If a Noble Round is used on an ally (i.e., hits them), it heals the ally and temporarily increases weapon damage for you and the hit Guardian.
It goes from the Cosmodrome out into the world.
By the way: The term Noble Rounds is seen by some fans as a direct reference to Dredgen Yor, who was sometimes referred to as “The Noble Man” in the Grimoire entries of Destiny 1. Yor was once known as Rezyl Azzir – the owner of the Rose before it became the Dorn.
For comparison – here’s what the Dorn can do: The Dorn fires projectiles that penetrate their targets and inflict additional damage over time. Kills with the Dorn also leave remnants – just like with the Lumina. However, when a remnant is absorbed, it strengthens the poison effect of the Dorn.
So it is immediately clear: The Lumina essentially does the opposite of the Dorn, which fits perfectly with the lore and concept of this weapon duo.
This is why it’s so special: Should this info be confirmed, then Destiny would have the first weapon that can heal and simultaneously strengthen other Guardians. For the first time, completely support-oriented builds would be possible – for example, in combination with the Warlock’s Blessing of Grace, who could then fully function as a healer.
How fans are reacting: Many are excited about this discovery by the data miners and can hardly wait to experiment with Lumina and build healer and support setups.
Bungie has announced more RPG elements for Destiny 2 when revealing the Shadowkeep expansion, but that it comes this quickly was unexpected – some fans jokingly remarked.
How exactly does one get the Lumina? However, fans will have to wait a while to see if the data miners are right with their find – unless Bungie presents the weapon in detail.
Because the Lumina is tied to the so-called Lumina quest, which will start on July 2nd. According to Ginsor, Guardians will be sent on a long quest to find the original form of the Dorn, namely the Rose. This will then need to be purified in order to ultimately obtain the Lumina.
Xol – one of the Worm Gods
The individual steps include a wide range of different tasks, such as
completing a Nightfall with 50,000 points or more
completing the Blind Source, forging the Black Armory, or participating in the Escalation Protocol
playing Gambit
killing the Worm God Xol in the “Will of Thousands” Nightfall
as well as some additional tasks
It seems that PvP cannot be entirely avoided either. Additionally, it looks like players will, as with the Dorn quest, be able to choose in which activity they can complete certain quest steps.
What do you think of the Lumina’s perks, should they be confirmed like this? Do you see this as an interesting exotic?
In Star Wars: Battlefront 2, a huge update is waiting for you! 19 months after the game was released, various new features will come to you this month.
What is waiting for you? The developers announced a huge update, which will include, among other things, Droidekas. The rolling droids have been a long-standing wish of the community and are finally coming to the game after 1.5 years.
Along with the new droids, many other features will come to the game, such as a new map. We give you an overview.
What’s in the huge update of Battlefront 2
When will the update be released? On June 26, it will be time. From then on, you can admire the numerous new features in the game.
What’s all included? In a long post in the Battlefront forum, the developers explain the innovations in the upcoming update. We show you the highlights:
The rolling droids Droidekas are coming and reinforcing the battle droid side
The TX-130 comes as a new tank that is also good in defense
Anakin Skywalker gets a new outfit, which is known from the Clone Wars series
What players are most excited about: With the Droidekas, a true fan wish comes to the game. They can evolve into 3 different forms.
One is the wheel form, allowing for rapid movement, and the other is the turret form, where they can fire with two cannons simultaneously. This is rounded off with an energy shield that can be formed around them. This shield can block shots from enemies.
What’s next? EA also provided a glimpse into the future of Battlefront. A new planet, Felucia, is expected to be added later this year. New locations will be waiting for you there.
The planet Felucia is expected to come in 2019
In August, there will be more information about a new type of battles. These are said to differ from traditional PvP experiences, EA explains. What exactly will be coming is still unknown.
The last major update for Battlefront 2 was in March:
Square Enix revealed on a new promotional banner on which platforms their new game, Avenger’s Project, will be released. Almost all systems are included, with PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. Only the Nintendo Switch is missing.
On which platforms will Marvel’s Avengers be released? A few days before their E3 conference, Square Enix released a huge promotional banner with the slogan “Embrace Your Powers.” Coincidentally, it also listed the platforms for which Marvel’s Avengers will be released:
PC
Xbox One
PS4
Google Stadia
This banner also means that Switch fans will unfortunately miss out on Marvel’s Avengers. Square has not given official reasons for this, but gamers suspect that it might be technically too demanding for the Switch.
However, there is still a possibility that the game will also be released on the PS5 and the next Xbox console.
What fans are speculating about: The official announcement of the platforms for Marvel’s Avengers has sparked many speculations on Reddit. There is still not much known about the game:
Will there be crossplay between platforms?
Will it be released in 2019 as a launch title for Stadia?
What will the setting be?
What are the chances that Marvel’s Avengers will be an Epic Store exclusive?
The Reddit user Mackertosh17 wrote:
I would think it’s cool if it were an open world in New York, but with character switching like in GTA V. Then you could switch between the Avengers while they handle their own business.
The likelihood of the Avenger’s Project being exclusively available on the Epic Store is quite low, as Square Enix usually releases all its games on its own SE Store as well.
No official release date for Marvel’s Avengers has been announced yet, but an Amazon leak mentioned May 15, 2020, as the launch date. Amazon quickly changed the date afterward.
When will we learn more? Concrete information about Marvel’s Avengers will be available during the E3 conference of Square Enix. It will take place at 3:00 AM in the night from June 10th to 11th.
You can follow the conference with us on the streaming channel MAX. On Tuesday, June 11th, there will be an analysis stream at 3:00 PM with Natascha from Gamestar, Irie, and YouTuber Ninotaku.
The World Championship in Fortnite is approaching. But the game’s biggest star, Twitch streamer Ninja, fails to qualify. The solo ticket is definitely gone. Is Ninja just not good enough anymore?
That’s why the solo World Championship takes place without Ninja: According to Ninja, he has missed his last chance to qualify for the solo World Championship.
Yesterday, on Saturday, he needed to reach at least 3000th place in his region during the Fortnite World Cup qualifier to be allowed on Sunday. He did not succeed, as he announced on Twitter.
He only says that he hates solos so much.

Why isn’t Ninja making it? Although Ninja is certainly an excellent gamer and an exceptional Fortnite player, he apparently does not belong to the world’s elite under eSports conditions. There are several reasons for this:
More Competition: Although Ninja was considered an incredibly good player in the early days of Fortnite and won his first tournaments, the competition has become much tougher now. The high prize money in Fortnite has attracted some of the biggest talents, who fully dedicate themselves to eSports and even postpone their education for it.
Many Distractions: Ninja, on the other hand, now has many other commitments and is advancing the expansion of his “brand.” He cannot concentrate on eSports but engages in deals, has PR appointments, such as a trip through Europe, and streams a lot, of course. He is working on his “own” brand.
Ninja now has several advertising appearances, such as here at the Super Bowl.
Age: Ninja is significantly older at 28 than most of his competitors, who are between 15 and 21 years old. Currently, only the age limit of 13 is preventing some of them from becoming stars in Fortnite. In League of Legends, Ninja would already be considered elderly at 28 – in eSports, very few players are older than 25.
Ninja’s Playstyle: Moreover, Ninja’s playstyle is actually designed for “random matches,” where he quickly overpowers and kills many normal players. That is well received by viewers on Twitch. However, in Fortnite eSports, cautious and tactical play counts more, building and editing is crucial.
Just Bad Luck? Surely luck also plays a role. Ninja himself sees it that way, stating that he often just had bad luck. However, the best players in the world consistently land in the top placements of the World Cup qualifiers in Europe – and Ninja’s rival Tfue has already managed to qualify for the solo World Cup twice.
Did Ninja really want to go to the World Championship? Ninja is known to be incredibly ambitious. He had actually retired from eSports in 2018 to focus on streaming.
However, the Fortnite World Championship awakened his ambition, and he was desperate to qualify.
Does Ninja still have a chance? Ninja will definitely not be participating in the solo World Championship. There is still a small chance that he can qualify with his partner Reverse2k for the duo World Championship in Fortnite in two weeks.
What is currently being played? Now, on the weekend, week 9 of the qualification for the Fortnite World Championship is taking place. Week 9 is the last chance for solo players to qualify.
Cloak’s first reaction to Tfue was probably “Meh.”
The qualification weekend takes place in two phases:
On Saturday, the semifinals take place. This is about reaching a place in the top 3000 of the region.
On Sunday, the finals take place. This is about reaching one of the spots that qualify for the World Championship. Every player who qualifies for the World Championship receives at least $50,000 in prize money.
This week, 19 players will qualify:
8 in Europe – competing for $800,000
6 in Eastern North America – $600,000 in prize money
2 in Western North America – $200,000 in prize money
Conflicts between streamers and the community of WoW Classic are becoming more frequent and intense. However, some fans see potential in collaboration.
What’s the problem? Many fans of the currently beta WoW Classic see the participating streamers as an increasingly large problem. It started with people complaining that Blizzard only invites streamers and ignores the “regular players”.
The situation escalated over time. Players demand the banishment of certain streamers from WoW Classic and hold them responsible for everything they believe is currently wrong with Classic.
By now, there are many voices calling for servers specifically for streamers so that “the others can play in peace”.
Are streamers a plague for WoW Classic?
Community vs. Streamer – What’s the truth?
What the streamers are doing: Streamers often do nothing more than play WoW Classic – and do so as humanly as possible:
What bothers people about streamers? However, there are also situations that really annoy Classic fans. Recently, the streamer sodapoppin has attracted attention.
Sodapoppin demanded a kind of social rating from players based on the favor of streamers. This did not sit well with large parts of the community. They saw this as an abuse of his “streamer privileges” and immediately fired back.
A group of people wants to take it upon themselves to include those who are ostracized by streamers like sodapoppin. Together they want to systematically go against streamers.
Is it really that bad? What sounds like a petty war is hardly understandable for part of the community. In several posts on the official forum, some of which have since been deleted, players also talk about the advantages that streamers bring along. They are happy about the popularity because:
more people are playing Classic because of streamers
a larger community promises more PvP and more “drama”
streamers create “extra events” in the game
there have always been conflicts in Vanilla as well. So it’s just like back then
However, on reddit, the fear that streamers bring a toxic community already prevails in smaller posts. But was it really that much different back then?
The developers of Halo Infinite have commented on their new game just before Microsoft’s E3 conference this evening. It is meant to deliver a new Halo experience for both fans and newcomers.
What have the developers said? Halo Infinite from developer 343 Industries is currently generating a lot of excitement among fans. Although it was announced a year ago, there is still little concrete information about the title.
Executive Producer of 343 Industries, Kiki Wolfkill, explained to Gamesindustry that their goal was to create a Halo game “of the next generation”.
Primarily, Wolfkill wants to engage the younger generation of gamers:
We think a lot about how we can expand our audience to younger people whose parents have already played Halo, love it, and want to share it with their children.
[…] We want parents to feel like they can let their kids get lost in Halo.
With Halo Infinite, the developers also want to take the franchise in a new direction. It should appeal to both fans of the series and people who have never played Halo but enjoy the sci-fi genre, Wolfkill stated.
One of the team’s goals was to create a game for a very broad audience. Halo Infinite is a kind of spiritual reboot of the Halo series, which is why the game isn’t simply called “Halo 6”.
What’s behind this: The statement indicates that Halo has a good image among an “older” generation of gamers but struggles with the “younger” generation, who are currently more into shooters like Fortnite.
By engaging parents, the intention is apparently to reach the kids and convert them to the “right shooter”.
When will we learn more? The E3 press conference from Microsoft starts today at 10:00 PM our time. It has already been confirmed that Halo Infinite will also be featured there.
However, what information we will receive is still unclear. You can follow the conference live with us on our streaming channel MAX – Monsters and Explosions:
In the lead-up to E3 2019, Microsoft released some tweets. Sharp-eyed observers have spotted a hidden clue about “Scarlet,” a codename believed to represent a new Xbox expected to be released in 2020. The next-gen Xbox is likely to be unveiled later today at the Microsoft press conference.
How was “Scarlet” hidden? Microsoft’s Xbox channel sent a series of seemingly innocent tweets. It was a sort of countdown, counting down to “0 days.”

The tweets all had the same structure: In the center, images were shown, with palm trees and a city lit up at night in the background.
There was actually nothing to see.
But one particularly attentive user examined the last 3 tweets and discovered that there was always a combination of letters and numbers visible on the left side of the screen.
First “R 255,” then “G 36,” and on the last day “B 0.”
The joke is, when you search for “255, 36, 0,” that is the hex code for “Scarlet,” the color “Crimson.” And that is one of the code names under which one of the new consoles is known, which we will see soon: a next-gen Xbox that will compete with the PlayStation 5:
“Scarlett” represents the general codename for the next console generation
Anaconda is said to be a “high-end” console
Lockhart is a slightly toned-down version, similar to the current Xbox One S
What does this mean? Microsoft is known for playing such games.
It was already anticipated before E3 2019 that Microsoft would show its next console generation. It is now even more certain that we will witness the unveiling.
When will we really see this? The Microsoft press conference is today, Sunday, June 9, at 10:00 PM our time. We will cover the Microsoft press conference 2019 just like the entire E3 here on MeinMMO and on MAX, the joint channel of MeinMMO, GameStar, and GamePro.
Actually, the word “Naga” is a common term in World of Warcraft. However, on Twitch, one can get banned for using the word.
Yesterday, on Twitch, some smaller and medium-sized streamers were banned related to WoW Classic. The reason is that they used the word “Naga,” which actually refers to a race in World of Warcraft, excessively and in other contexts.
Twitch’s justification for the ban: “Involvement in hateful behavior and threats of violence against a person or group of people.”
What happened? The streamer Saviz was playing WoW Classic casually. During the stream, he killed a rare Rare-Naga and was pleased about it.
Some viewers and streamers took it as an opportunity to spam comments about Naga in the chat for hours afterward. They were permanently banned from Twitch for “hateful behavior” and felt unfairly treated.
The affected streamers express bewilderment and claim they do not understand the justification for their ban. After all, they were only referring to something that exists in World of Warcraft: Naga.
For him, it was extremely childish behavior that can easily be interpreted as racism. He points out that the accused did not quote the streamer Savix, as he had said “Shot that Naga” when he had taken down a Rare-Naga, clearly referring to an incident in the game.
However, the other streamers and viewers took it as an opportunity to rephrase the sentence and spam “Shoot some nagas” repeatedly.
According to Disguised Toast (and apparently the perception of the responsible people at Twitch), it is obvious that “Nagas” alludes to “Niggers” – a racist insult for Black people that is usually abbreviated as the “N-word.” So, they were essentially saying “Shoot some Niggers” disguised as something else.
Has this happened before? The fact is, however, that “Naga” has previously been used in World of Warcraft as a substitute for the insult.
Whether this is actually a “disguise” of racist statements or just a tasteless joke is a matter of debate. Guild names like <Naga stole my bike> and similar have not been uncommon in the past.
This is how the banned defend themselves: The affected individuals now argue that they never meant anything racist with it. It was a joke. Some also suggest that Twitch is inconsistent. If they are banned for “Shoot some nagas,” then Saviz should also be banned for “Shot that naga.”
What do you think about the banning of these individuals on Twitch? Is it justified because the intent was clear? Or was it just a silly joke that hurt no one?
Fortunately, there are also “lovelier” news about Naga:
In Destiny 2, the new Season of Opulence is ushered in. Season 7 brings an exciting array of changes that you should take a look at. New players and returning players will also benefit in the new season.
New season coming: On June 4, the Season of the Vagabond ends, and Season 7 will be ushered in: The Season of Opulence. The new content comes with an update and maintenance work.
During the waiting period, Guardians will also be rewarded with some changes and new features. We would like to briefly introduce what you can expect in the Season of Opulence.
These new changes await you in the Season of Opulence
After Bungie bid farewell to Faction Rallies to comprehensively revise them along with the Trials of the Nine, there has also been a quiet period around the faction-specific Catalysts. The Catalysts for these popular weapons were tied to the different factions:
The Catalyst for the Workhorse was available with the New Monarchy
For the Catalyst of the Sunshot, you had to belong to the Future War Cult
With Dead Orbit, there was the Catalyst for the Graviton Lance

Whether and when the factions will return is not yet known. However, Guardians can earn their Catalysts in-game with Season 7. New Triumphs for exotic items will be introduced, containing information about where to obtain the associated Catalyst.
Xur is set to become interesting again
With the Season of Opulence, Xur will finally get a feature that was actually promised for Season 6: Random Rolls for exotic armor. This is intended to make the inventory of the mysterious vendor attractive again for veterans who already own all exotic items.
Can Xur entice you again with Random Rolls?
The annoying grind for the new Power level is eliminated
The Season of Opulence once again brings an increase in Power levels. Guardians can fight their way up to Power level 750. While there were special bounties in Season 6 that increased this level, a quest will be introduced with the new season that rewards all your characters with high-level gear.
The quest is called “An Imperial Summons” and you must complete it, if you want to tackle the new raid “Crown of Sorrow”. However, only once per account: After you have completed the quest with one character, all other characters on your account will receive gear at Power level 690.
This should allow you to participate in the new activities right away with your favorite character, without being held back by a low Power level.
Players should be able to participate in the new activities without having to prepare for weeks.
There are buffs for fusion rifles and swords
With the Season of Opulence, some weapons are getting tweaks – numerous exotic weapons and armor will be nerfed. However, there are also some buffs for your gear. Fans of fusion rifles, swords, and the weapon duo Sturm und Drang can be pleased.
For various archetypes of fusion rifles, PvE damage is significantly increased. Exotic fusion rifles like Telesto, Jötunn, or Merciless have also been buffed, though slightly less than their legendary counterparts.
For swords, the ammunition capacity as well as the starting ammunition amount are adjusted. There are also tweaks to various attacks.
Sturm und Drang will also be improved and are set to become attractive for Guardians again. For instance, the maximum capacity for bonus damage rounds created by the “Sturm und Stress” perk of Sturm will be increased to 99. The bonus damage of these rounds will also be increased by 100% in PvE.
Of course, the new season will also bring new top weapons. For PvP players, the hunt for the top weapon from the Crucible in Season 7 will even be easier.
Instead of having to reach a certain rank and glory points, you will only need to achieve a total of 3,500 points in the Season of Opulence. How often you rank up or down during that time does not matter. You only need to reach 3,500 glory points during the entire season, and the top weapon Revoke is yours. Losses will not deduct points from you.
New group activity: The Menagerie
In the Menagerie, all owners of the Annual Pass will be able to let loose. The new 6-Guardian activity comes with matchmaking and takes you back to the Leviathan, where you are to entertain Emperor Calus.
What awaits you in this activity is still unclear. However, it should feature different bosses and also a heroic mode for the Menagerie starting June 25.
Furthermore, you will unlock the Chalice of Opulence through the Menagerie.
Chalice of Opulence – Decide for yourself which loot you earn
The new Chalice of Opulence will be received by Guardians in the Menagerie from Calus. Players will be able to earn runes that can further upgrade and expand the Chalice. This way, players can specifically work towards certain gear and decide which items they want to obtain.
The Community Day with Bummelz is over and was a complete disaster. Pokémon GO responds to the criticism and now announces a return of Bummelz.
What happened on Community Day? The event in Germany lasted only an hour before the weather feature broke down. As a result, hardly any Bummelz appeared. A disaster for a Community Day.
A shitstorm erupted on social media, and many players demanded a repeat of the Community Day.
This is how the Community Day with Bummelz went
These were the problems: Those who played in the first hour of the event likely had no issues at all. The spawns of Bummelz were normal, and there were shinies to catch everywhere.
Such spawns were not uncommon on Community Day. Source: Reddit
However, starting at 4 PM, the weather disappeared. No weather was displayed in the top right corner. When this feature is off, spawns always change. Many different Pokémon appear that do not belong to the event.
It was the same with Bummelz. In the last 2 hours, there were hardly any Bummelz to catch. Entire cluster spawns produced no Bummelz, and the chance of a shiny decreased for many players.
How does Niantic respond? Initially, Niantic support confirmed that there were problems with the weather and that they wanted to work on solutions.
A few hours later, in the middle of the night, Niantic announced that Bummelz will return. Most players suspect that the Community Day for Europe and Africa will be repeated. However, there could also be another event centered around Bummelz. Niantic does not express this clearly.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

In September, private matches will be added as a new feature. Developer DICE also commented on Chapter 5, which is set to begin in October. It will revolve around the Pacific and two new factions, the USA and Japan.
What was shown: During the presentation of FIFA 20, the focus was primarily on the new feature: street football. The developers talked about the background and inspiration for the new mode Volta.
Moreover, FIFA 20 will feature a new ball physics, more 1-on-1 situations, and players will have to engage more in defense. The AI will take less control in the future.
Apex Legends brings a lot of new things in Season 2. Among them is a huge monster reminiscent of Godzilla.
This was seen in the trailer: A lot of new stuff was shown for Apex Legends at the E3 2019. Season 2 is supposed to finally include challenges, offer a better battle pass, and introduce a new legend named Wattson.
But at the end of the presentation, the developers dropped another big bomb: Players were seen in free fall. In the background, a truly massive eye could be seen, reminiscent of giant Kaiju monsters like Godzilla.
Will the map be plagued by monsters in Season 2?
What could the monster mean? When asked about the creature, an Apex developer only mentioned that we should keep our eyes open at the beginning of Season 2. “A few big things” are coming to King’s Canyon. That’s the name of the map in Apex Legends.

Therefore, it can be suspected that there will be an event in which a giant monster will invade the map and possibly even change it. Curiously, the big competitor Fortnite is currently executing exactly this plan, as a monster has recently escaped from an iceberg and will likely change the map soon.

Dataminers find more hints about monsters: A dataleak related to the giant monster fits with the announcement of so-called “Flyers” via Dexterto, which are flying beasts known from Titanfall, not unlike dragons.
So it could well be that the small creatures – which are still very large – appear in the vicinity of the giant creature and bring PvE elements into the game. Such PvE elements have already been featured with zombies in Fortnite.

This could link Wattson to the monster: A final hint about a monster invasion is the new legend Wattson. According to her trailer, she is a brilliant engineer who once developed the force field enclosing the Apex island. This force field may be faulty, allowing such monsters to have sudden access to the island.
Fun fact: A giant monster named “Nessy” could already be summoned at the game’s launch by finding certain Easter eggs. Perhaps the giant creature is a form of Nessy?
What do you think about the monster? What do you think it will cause?
In the online shooter The Division 2, developer Massive has now introduced the 4th specialization. These are basically the classes in the shooter. The Gunner is all about heavy artillery and can take a lot of damage, as the more special ammunition he has, the more bonus armor protects him from enemy fire.
This is what the new Gunner can do: The new class “Gunner” focuses on sustained damage and is meant to withstand a lot of enemy fire. The specialization will fight on the front lines. It is equipped with a mini-gun, a Gatling gun, and has the following abilities and features:
The Gunner is supposed to receive bonus armor depending on how much special ammunition he has. The bonus armor is designed to allow the Gunner to tank well for a short time while suppressing enemies with the mini-gun.
When the mini-gun is deployed, the Gunner cannot take cover, roll, or jump over obstacles.
The Gunner has an ability that can confuse targets, causing them to stumble out of cover and become easy prey.
He possesses a foam grenade in The Division 2, which he can throw to immobilize opponents.
The specialization comes with a new skill tree.

As a sidearm, the class carries the P320 XCompact. In real life, this is a compact 9mm pistol from Sig Sauer, a German arms manufacturer from Eckernförde. The real pistol has a magazine capacity of 15 rounds.

When is the Gunner coming? The new class will arrive on the test server of The Division 2 (PTS) on June 4th and will then be rolled out to the live servers throughout June when the “Title Update 4” goes live for The Division 2.
Update 4 is also expected to bring new content, but Massive is still silent on that.
Who can play the Gunner? To unlock the Gunner, you need to be level 30 and complete 5 challenges, each with specific requirements.
Players who own the year pass for The Division 2 can play the Gunner right away, but must still complete the challenges.
Players who want to play the Gunner right away but do not own the year pass will specifically be able to purchase a package in the in-game shop.
Isn’t that pay-to-win? Massive seems a bit concerned about criticism that holders of the year pass might have unfair advantages because they can play the Gunner earlier.
Therefore, the developers explicitly state in a brief FAQ that all specializations should be on an equal level. It’s all about finding the specialization that suits you.
Additionally, all players will be able to unlock the specialization without the year pass.
Players can earn skill points and invest them in the talent tree of a specialization. There is nothing stopping an agent from mastering all specializations and switching classes between missions.
The first alpha phase of New World ended on June 3rd. Now the servers are offline for an indefinite period. The players have mixed feelings.
What is New World? New World is a sandbox MMO from Amazon that includes survival elements, but primarily focuses on cooperative play within a guild. Players can build, defend, and conquer fortresses.
Why do we hear so little about New World? Amazon’s first MMO was first presented at Gamescom in 2018 and opened the gates to the first alpha in September.
However, despite the fact that the press was already allowed to show gameplay, as we reported from the event in Berlin, there is still a confidentiality agreement regarding the alpha itself. The end of the testing phase has not changed this.
Statistics regarding the first alpha
What do the developers say about the alpha? The developers of New World released statistics at the end of the alpha that contain information on player deaths caused by NPCs or through PvP. Many other figures were also included in this statistic.
However, it reveals nothing about the actual player numbers of the alpha or how the MMO was received by the players. But exactly such information leaks out repeatedly, even though the test was subject to confidentiality.
How many players participated in the New World test? According to the user Preacher802 on the website MMORPG, around 200 players were typically active on the New World alpha servers, with even more during prime time. After the last wave of invites, there were apparently around 1,200 players at peak.
This is where New World struggles
What is the combat system like? According to comments on Reddit or under our posts, the combat system is particularly seen as needing improvement. Reddit user Quesa-dilla writes:
Hopefully they use the time to rethink the mechanics and the combat system.
Many users agree or highlight the issues surrounding the combat itself. MMORPG user FlyByKnight describes the battles as not even close to being dynamic or enjoyable.
Large guilds for success? There is also discussion about the guild system itself. New World shares a similar problem with Atlas. Only with fellow players and large guilds can much be achieved.
Since the focus of New World is on PvP, these two criticisms carry a lot of weight. Perhaps this is what will be worked on during the game’s offline period.
This is what the MMO already does well
Solid foundations: New World is especially praised for its graphics and the idea of the MMO. MMORPG user Raapnapp states that the game has excellent foundations and all systems function properly. It just lacks additional content and especially goals in the game.
Willingness to accept criticism: The acceptance of feedback has also been highlighted positively. There are already several features that have been adopted at the request and pressure of the community.
Good performance: A major plus is likely the server structure of Amazon. This keeps the performance of the game stable, even during large-scale battles.
The future of New World
What’s next for New World? After the closure of the alpha servers on June 3rd, players must now be patient. There is no information on when the servers will be brought back online.
However, the developers are under no pressure. In an interview with MeinMMO, they revealed that they can plan for 10 years in advance, thanks to Amazon. A release in the near future is therefore unlikely.
Our author Alexander Leitsch has already taken a look at New World and created a conclusion:
Although no one expected it, Anthem made a brief appearance at EA’s live show during E3 at EA Play 2019. What’s new?
Why did no one expect Anthem? EA did not list the game in its official lineup for E3. However, there was a brief appearance between the presentations of FIFA 20 and Madden 20.
Ben Irving, the head of the team responsible for Anthem’s live service, took the stage. There he answered questions about the current situation of Anthem and what the future holds.
Anthem has “a bright future”
This is what Irving says about the current situation: According to Irving, the team has learned a lot in the last 4 months. Above all, they have focused on gathering feedback and implementing it better.
At the moment, Anthem is in the testing phase of the upcoming Cataclysm update. Therefore, they are still collecting feedback from fans who are already playing it on the test servers. What Cataclysm actually is,you can read in our summary.
“Does Anthem even have a future?”
This is what Irving says about the future of Anthem: In response to the rather harsh question of whether Anthem will have a future, Irving replied: “Yes, Anthem has a future. A very bright one indeed […].”
They have learned a lot and want to make the game better together with the community. However, they know that they have a lot of work ahead of them before they build the game that everyone wants together with the players.
If you were hoping for choices in Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, you will be disappointed. There will be no choice between the light and dark side of the Force.
During the “EA Play” stream, the developers revealed a lot of details about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In addition to nearly 15 minutes of exciting gameplay footage, there was also information about the different versions of the game. Other questions that were burning in the community were also addressed. One question stood out: “Can you choose between the light and dark side of the Force?”
The clear answer to that: No, you cannot. The reason? “Because.”
Why is the question so important? Choosing between the light and dark side of the Force is an essential part of many games in the “Star Wars” universe. In SWTOR , players can influence which side they lean towards through their actions. This unlocks different outcomes or abilities. In Jedi Fallen Order, that will not be the case; such a decision does not exist at all.
Main character has a fixed path: The developers then cite several reasons why such a decision does not exist. The main character, Cal, is a Jedi, and the game wants to tell a Jedi story. This story is predetermined, and the players experience it. It is not a narrative with great freedom of choice, but a story that is told through the game.
Furthermore, Jedi Fallen Order belongs to the official canon of Star Wars. Other works could refer to Cal, and it is important that the character is clearly defined and his actions are distinct to ensure a consistent narrative.
Cal has Jedi powers: Based on this, Cal definitely has Force abilities that are more aligned with the light side of the Force. Therefore, he will not be able to shoot Force lightning. Instead, players have these four Force abilities that they can develop:
Push
Pull
Slow
Jump
What do you think of this decision to not allow a choice between the light or dark side? Is it good for telling a fixed story? Or do you miss gameplay freedom?
Today, EA presented several new multiplayer maps for Battlefield 5 during EA Play 2019. You will be able to enjoy these maps soon.

All weapon classes are expected to benefit from the map, including fans of vehicles and aircraft.
