Destiny 2 will support Cross Save across all platforms starting Fall 2019 – including PS4. However, reports indicate that this feature was apparently uncertain for Sony’s console until the last moment.
Many fans held hope for this: Just before the official reveal of the new expansion Shadowkeep for Destiny 2, some leaks and early news circulated.
It was claimed, among other things, that Destiny 2 would soon support Cross Save and announce this feature during the reveal of Shadowkeep. Data mining results also support this claim. Evidence of Cross Save was found in the new data of Destiny 2 that came with Update 2.5.0.1.
Many fans hoped that this information would ultimately come true. Cross Save has long been desired and longed for in the community. “Please, let it be true” was the general sentiment on Reddit and other discussion platforms. Here we explain how to use Cross Save.
Thus, many PS4 fans were upset: However, the leak unsettled, disappointed, and angered a lot of fans – namely many PS4 players.
According to the supposed advance information, Cross Save was only secure for PC, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The fate of the PS4 was unclear. Some sources even reported that the PS4 would be left out of this feature.
It really was that dramatic: A report from renowned gaming journalist Jason Schreier of Kotaku shows how dramatic the situation was for this feature on PlayStation.
Thus, the fate of Cross Save on PS4 was indeed uncertain for a long time and was essentially sealed only at the last moment. Until the day before the announcement, Bungie assumed that Cross Save would not happen on PS4.
Also for the PS4 players, the Cross Save drama has finally come to a reconciliatory end. In the end, all Guardians could rejoice over this new feature.
The studio was prepared to announce Cross Save without PS4. This is also evidenced by official promotional material used even during the official reveal, which does not list Sony’s console.

As three anonymous insider sources reported to Schreier, Sony and Bungie negotiated intensively on the last day before the announcement of Cross Save. Until Sony ultimately relented to everyone’s joy and relief.
A certain drama could thus still be averted. But fans and players remained unaware of this decision until the official reveal. Their nerves were thus still put to a hard test.

What is the Chromecast Ultra?
This is what a Chromecast brings: With a Chromecast, you can stream any compatible device like smartphones or tablets to a TV by simply connecting the Chromecast to the HDMI port of the TV and connecting it to the device.
The Chromecast automatically optimizes the quality of the streamed media. It is thus possible to achieve almost 4K resolution even on a simple HD device. Only the content must be available in corresponding quality. More information can be found on the product page of the Chromecast from Google.

Do I need a Chromecast? The Chromecast roughly replaces the console on your TV. If you want to use Google Stadia via the TV, you need both a Chromecast and the Stadia controller.
However, if you already have a streaming-capable device with good resolution, such as a gaming PC, you do not necessarily need a Chromecast. It is also unnecessary for players who do not want to play on a TV. Stadia can be used, for example, via the browser on a PC or laptop.
Do I need the Stadia controller?
You only need both the Chromecast and the controller if you want to play on the TV. This is stated in the official FAQ of Google Stadia.
You can also use controllers from any manufacturer on other devices. However, the Stadia controller can also connect to your phone, laptop, or PC.

Is Stadia like Netflix? Only to a certain extent. Netflix and Stadia both offer unlimited access to their content as long as the subscription is active.

Destiny 2, included in Stadia Pro, is probably the biggest highlight. It comes not only in its complete collection with all DLCs but also with a cross-save feature.

Bungie will implement some fresh ideas for Destiny 2 with the new expansion Shadowkeep. This includes new RPG elements and finishing moves for your Guardian.
This is how the stream went: Tonight, on June 6, Bungie presented its plans for Year 3 of Destiny 2 in a livestream. The new expansion Shadowkeep has been confirmed, which is supposed to bring some fresh ideas to the shooter.
To emphasize this, Bungie also rearranged its long-standing stream crew. Luke Smith and Mark Noseworthy hosted the beginning of the stream and instead of DeeJ, the streamer and explainer Datto took questions from the community at the event – even though he had to endure some teasing and ridicule for missing the World First for “Crown of Sorrow”.
Luke Smith also officially referred to Destiny 2 as an MMO for the first time, which Datto had to point out in astonishment.

Destiny 2 with more RPG: In a new ViDoc released alongside the stream, Bungie developers stated that they never really knew if they had enough RPG in the game. Now they have decided “Screw it! We’re giving players what they want!”
With Shadowkeep, the way armor, perks, and mods function is set to change significantly.
Mods can be applied to any armor parts.
Players are currently more likely to choose the armor that grants them advantages in the game rather than those that look good. With Armor 2.0, mods that players have unlocked can be applied to any equipment item.
Additionally, Guardians will receive artifacts with Shadowkeep, where they can assemble different perks themselves. The perks in the last column that Guardians can unlock should feel like an exotic item.

These are finishing moves: Your Guardians will receive new finishers that were introduced in the ViDoc by the community favorite sound guy Dave Samuel. The different classes will each get their own finishers that they can use on their enemies.

In the game itself, EA explained the situation: The bronze card of Steven Murillo appeared as a tradable swap item card in the market. The swap items are usually non-tradable. After all, the FUT Swaps are about earning these and not just buying them with coins.

In Pokémon GO there is now a feature active that many trainers have been waiting for: the suggestion of new PokéStops. We will show you how it works.
What’s new? Gradually, Pokémon GO has unlocked a feature in the past few months that qualifies trainers to submit PokéStop suggestions.
Today, on the evening of June 6, 2019, Niantic activated this feature for trainers playing in Germany. Several trainers have confirmed this to us via Discord and Facebook.
This feature is particularly awaited by trainers in rural areas, as there are generally fewer stops and gyms there than in urban areas.
How do you submit new PokéStops?

What’s included in the new fall expansion “Shadowkeep”
What is the name of the expansion? The new expansion is officially called Shadowkeep. The German name is Festung der Schatten.
What is it about? For the Guardians, it’s the first time since Destiny 1 that they return to the Moon. However, it looks entirely different from the first visit.
There, they will encounter the missing Eris Morn, with whom they will travel to a mysterious citadel and face horrific “Shadows” and “Nightmares” before humanity plunges into an age of darkness again. This involves a reawakened force of the Hive along with new units.
But it’s not just about the Hive; it’s about something even more terrifying that has awakened deep within the Hellmouth.
What’s included in the expansion?
For Shadowkeep, none of the previous Destiny 2 expansions are required. It is a standalone add-on. Guardians should be able to dive directly into the new year 3 content
A cool new feature: Unique finishing moves for each class!
What else to expect in year 3 of Destiny 2
New seasons will be standalone: Just like the Shadowkeep expansion, the upcoming seasons for Destiny 2 will be independent from one another and can all be purchased separately. If you don’t like the content of a particular season, you can simply skip it.
Destiny 2 will go free-to-play with “New Light”: The shooter will be partially playable without further costs starting October 1. This applies to the base game of Destiny 2 as well as all year 1 content, including the expansions “Curse of Osiris” and “Warmind”. Moreover, all worlds (for patrol), all strikes, all PvP maps, all year 1 raids, and the Gambit mode will be free to play.
The introduction for newly created Guardians will then take place in a sort of remastered version of the first mission from Destiny 1 in the Cosmodrome on Earth. Only after that will the fresh players enter the Tower of Destiny 2, where the previous story of the game will begin for them.
Additional content, like the Forsaken expansion or the new Shadowkeep, will still be paid and can be optionally purchased.
This new and free entry opportunity in Destiny 2 will be called “Destiny 2: New Light”.
No more PS4-exclusive content: The unpopular exclusivity for Sony’s PS4 from the times of Activision has finally come to an end. The PlayStation 4 will no longer be favored. All platforms will receive all new content simultaneously.
Cross-save starting fall 2019: Cross-save feature for Destiny 2 between PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Google Stadia. So the PS4 will also be supported in Cross-save contradicting some rumors.

Update 10/4/2019: Rockstar Games has announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC and for Google Stadia. Red Dead Redemption 2 is expected to be directly available at the launch of Google Stadia in November.
When Destiny 2 comes, it will include all content. The base game, the Forsaken expansion, the next expansion Shadowkeep, and all DLCs that have been released in between. The collection is only included in Stadia Pro. Players will be able to transfer their characters from Xbox One and PC to Stadia. Whether this will also be possible from PS4 is not known.
How will The Division 2 be released?
The Division 2 will be released in its standard version on Stadia. Nothing is known yet about upcoming DLCs or expansions.
How do purchased games work?
Both the base version and Stadia Pro allow you to buy and play games directly. With Stadia Pro, you even get some exclusive offers.
Games that have been purchased can always be played through Stadia, even if the Pro subscription expires.
You simply connect to Stadia and click on “Play.” A console is not necessary.

What’s inside?In line with the Adventure Week, Pokémon GO has now packed many Rock-type Pokémon into the 2-km eggs. Some of the monsters are otherwise very rare or can even be Shiny.

Which Pokémon are the most common? It can’t be said much about the exact frequencies yet. However, it seems that the Rock-type Pokémon are quite often found in the new eggs.
Why you should hatch the eggs now: Especially Koknodon and Schilterus are the highlights of the 2-km eggs. Both Pokémon are quite rare and useful in battles.

Thus, Rameidon, the evolution of Koknodon, is the best Rock-type Pokémon in the game. Bollterus, on the other hand, the evolution of Schilterus, is extremely useful in PvP.
What about Shinys? Almost all Pokémon in the 2-km eggs can be Shiny. This is a nice side effect besides the useful Pokémon. So you almost always have a good chance of getting Shinys.
How long will the eggs be available? The special 2-km eggs will be available until the end of Adventure Week, which runs until Tuesday, June 11 at 10:00 PM. After that, you will find the usual 2-km eggs again. Most Rock-type Pokémon will disappear.

This box will help you: The 2-km eggs are often too small for the expensive Super Incubators. They prefer to incubate 5 and 10 km eggs.

Is this really possible? In a RPG forum (via rpgcodex.net), a rumor arose in September 2018 that the head of Larian had acquired the license for Baldur’s Gate. This was allegedly revealed by a new colleague of the rumor-spreader who previously worked at Larian.

Divinity – Original Sin 2 looks very much like Baldur’s Gate.
Why is this a big deal? Baldur’s Gate is an iconic RPG series on PC from 1998 (Baldur’s Gate I) and 2000 (Baldur’s Gate II). It has shaped the youth of many gamers today, who are now in their 30s or 40s.
Larian Studios have developed several games in this tradition and are considered a kind of spiritual successor to Baldur’s Gate.
In Neverwinter, Minsc and Boo appeared, two characters from Baldur’s Gate.
If they actually make a Baldur’s Gate III, it would be a big deal for many RPG veterans.
Even though the news is already causing a stir among some fans, it is still not an official announcement. It could also be a PR stunt or just a gag by the developers seeking more attention for a Divinity Original Sin III.

The medieval MMO Conqueror’s Blade is now free for all players to play on PC. But is it any good? We took a look at the strategy-action mix.
What is Conqueror’s Blade?My.com’s latest game is a mix of an action MMO like Mordhau or For Honor and a strategy game like Total War. You initially play as a commander that you control directly in battle. You have various skills and weapons at your disposal to take down other players and their troops.
At the same time, you also command a unit of soldiers that follow your commands and are essential for victory. Later, the game also opens up a strategy mode where you conquer fortifications and lands, founding “houses” like in Game of Thrones alongside other players, leading to epic wars on a large, open map.
This is as far as I, Jürgen, got in the first hours and battles of the game, but what I experienced up to that point, I want to share with you here.
The First Steps in Conqueror’s Blade
This is how character creation works: Conqueror’s Blade starts like a typical MMORPG with a character editor. There, you select gender, hair color, face, and other details.
Interestingly, there is also a kind of questionnaire for character creation. It tells the story of how your young hero meets an old knight who asks him various questions. Depending on how you answer, you receive different bonuses to your character stats.
I think it’s a nice and atmospheric way to distribute mundane game stats.
How does it work with weapons and classes? Instead of a class, you must choose a weapon in Conqueror’s Blade. This determines what skills you have. Initially, the following options are available:
Sword and Shield, for a balanced combat style
Large swinging weapons, like a Chinese Guan Do polearm or the massive Nodachi sword
Two daggers for quick attacks
A heavy musket that packs a punch but takes ages to reload
At first, you can only use and level one weapon, but later there is the possibility to equip additional gear and thus gain other skills. In the tutorial, I can test all the weapons at my leisure before I decide on my first one.
This is how you command troops in battle: Once I have learned the basics of combat in the tutorial, I can finally command troops. As a troop leader on the battlefield, you are rarely alone.
The spear unit assigned to me follows me dutifully everywhere. With the push of a button, I can send them anywhere on the battlefield, change formations, or command a charge or a defensive position.
This works pleasantly simply, and the AI has, at least in my previous experiences, not been too foolish.
“My First Battle” or “What Not to Do in Conqueror’s Blade”
Slowly, the many tutorials are getting annoying, and I’m itching for a proper first battle! Luckily, that’s coming soon, as at the end of the training phase, I participate as a subordinate leader of a large mercenary army in the battle against a traitor who has barricaded himself in a castle.
This is how the first battle goes: There, I see for the first time the great strength of Conqueror’s Blade, as the game creates a truly strong battlefield atmosphere. Hundreds of soldiers run towards the front with raised weapons, siege towers rumble through the mud, huge trebuchets hurl rocks at the enemy positions, and arrows whiz through the air.
And I am right in the thick of it with my loyal soldiers. I am supposed to storm the enemy gate, which is currently being attacked by a battering ram.
This is why Conqueror’s Blade is NOT like For Honor: I eagerly run forward just as the gate gives way with a crash. I used to enjoy playing For Honor, and nothing gave me more joy than mowing down those silly little AI soldier mobs by the dozen.
Well, while Conqueror’s Blade resembles For Honor in some ways, no one told the AI soldiers that they are supposed to be harmless cannon fodder. I take them down fairly quickly with a few blows, but they are far from the harmless straw dummies of For Honor.
How dangerous the battles are: Rather, the opponents fight back fiercely, and after I take down a few, I find myself in the middle of a swarm of angry soldiers who are furiously hacking at me with axes!
“Help! Get me out of here!” I shout to my own soldiers! The lazy cowards must be hiding somewhere?!
They indeed do, but the poor guys have to fight their way through the crowd of enemies to reach me, while I, despite desperately trying to defend myself, cannot escape because the hordes of enemies block all movement. It doesn’t take long before my once proud hero falls in a whirl of blades. Stupid.
This is why dying is stupid: After a while, I can respawn, but what is this? My soldiers are gone, and I must choose another unit from a limited pool. My spear carriers must have been completely wiped out by the enemies while trying to retrieve my corpse in my absence. And unlike me, the hero, the regular infantry don’t have respawns and stay dead!
And if I keep pulling off such stunts a few more times, at some point there will be no troops left to choose from after I respawn, and I’ll have to enter battle all alone. Considering the killer soldiers on the other side, that makes me pretty uneasy.
Therefore, I will proceed more cautiously next time and first observe what the opponents are doing and what my allied bots are up to. And lo and behold, there is a gap in the enemy ranks, and I brutally break through the front of my formation and chop my way through the enemies. Finally, I encounter the enemy commander, and a fierce duel ensues amid the chaos.
This is how the fights play out: Even in one-on-one combat, it quickly becomes clear that while Conqueror’s Blade looks a bit like For Honor, it definitely is not. The duels are more a frenzy of skills and attacks. Occasionally, I dodge attacks. Blocking doesn’t seem to work too well.
But my wild clicking has success, and the opponent eventually lies in the dust. The battle is won, and I can finally leave the tutorial for the real game.
This is what happens after the tutorial: After the tutorial, my character is released from the mercenary unit and can pursue his own career as a warlord. In a large city, I accept quests and enter matchmaking for instant battles, where it essentially works the same as in the tutorial.
I can team up with players to fight against the AI or venture into a 15v15 match with other players. Since each of the 15 players brings along a unit of soldiers, it amounts to quite a bit of troop strength, making you really feel like you are in a medieval skirmish.
The goal is to capture and hold points. There are often fierce brawls for the points, which are frequently won by sheer force of numbers.
From time to time, however, a clever player has the idea to flank the large mass, which can quickly determine the outcome of the battle. Such tactical moments break up the otherwise often chaotic melee.
These are the RPG elements: After the battle, there are experience points for the character as well as for the troops, as well as money and items to upgrade your hero or soldiers.
Because Conqueror’s Blade does not skimp on RPG elements. You can improve your hero, learn new stats, equip gear, and utilize completely new weapons.
The same goes for units. You start in the regular game with shabby peasants, but you can upgrade them and eventually replace them with more competent units from the research tree.
So, the peasant scamps eventually turn into elite troops like pikemen or heavy infantry. And your hero, who initially runs around in tattered rags, later dons shining armor and wields razor-sharp steel.
My Conclusion on Conqueror’s Blade
What I liked: Conqueror’s Blade is fun because you really feel like a commander when leading troops into wild melees, hacking and bashing your way through until finally facing the enemy leader in a fierce duel and gaining the upper hand. Then, his troops flee, and you can enjoy the victory, exhausted but happy.
I also really like the many RPG elements as an MMORPG fan, and I love fine-tuning my troops and optimizing my hero.
What I liked less: Unfortunately, you can also tell that Conqueror’s Blade has some quirks. The animations often seem quite clumsy compared to games like For Honor, and the controls are awfully clunky. Often, I miss my target because the controls mess up, and in the thick of battles, fights often degenerate into a spam of skills.
I have also noticed the dominance of ranged fighters who constantly dance out of reach and shoot with ranged weapons.
But despite the errors and flaws, I am currently having a lot of fun with Conqueror’s Blade, and I won’t be putting this medieval MMO down anytime soon. Especially since I still want to experience the promising strategy part with the open world.
On June 5, a new patch was released in the MMORPG Black Desert, which brought a new area and further innovations to the game. We reveal what is included in the patch and which events are currently taking place. It is clear: a lot is happening in the MMORPG Black Desert in 2019.

What do we know about the new area Starfall? Eight years ago, a meteor struck in Northwest Calpheon. This meteor is called Blackstar. Shortly after its impact, an ash plague broke out that made all infected individuals violent. Due to this plague, the area was placed under quarantine.

What’s new in Pokémon Sword & Shield? Raids. For the first time in the history of classic Pokémon RPGs, you can meet up with friends locally or online to take on powerful raid bosses.
Between the cities in the new Galar region, players will find stone circles. At these stone circles, up to four players can participate in the raid. The Pokémon adopt the new Dynamax form, which makes them gigantic and grants them special Z-attacks.

What do raids mean for classic Pokémon RPG?
The raids could be the first step toward developing classic Pokémon RPGs into an MMO.
This is special: This form of battles is inspired by Pokémon GO. The mobile game introduced raids back in June 2017. Here, up to 20 players can team up against a raid boss and catch it after a successful battle.
The CEO of The Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara, already spoke in 2017 about the impact Pokémon GO would have on the future of the franchise. They were surprised by the success of Niantic’s mobile game.
Throughout 2018, Niantic earned over 800 million dollars with Pokémon GO. Therefore, it is not surprising that The Pokémon Company wants a larger slice of that pie.
The raids in Sword and Shield are inspired by Pokémon GO.
Will there be a “real” Pokémon MMO soon?
What’s behind this: If you put together,
that Pokémon GO is an insane global hit,
the Pokémon Company therefore wants to incorporate more Pokémon GO into the overall marketing of the franchise
and that Pokémon Sword and Shield is now introducing an MMO feature with the online raids for the first time,
it seems plausible that the classic RPGs will continue to develop in this direction. The first step has definitely been taken with the Dynamax raid feature. They likely want to test the waters and also attract Pokémon GO players.
How soon could there be a Pokémon MMO? Probably not anytime soon.
However, it is conceivable that even more social and online features will come to the RPGs in the future. Perhaps there will be a kind of “MMO-light” as seen in Borderlands 3. It would also be conceivable that there will eventually be an official MMO offshoot, just like Bethesda did with The Elder Scrolls Online. In the context of Pokémon single-player RPGs, the raids are a massive innovation.
In the context of a full-fledged MMO, however, it is a baby step. But even a baby step is still a step. In the future, we expect at least a stronger focus on social features like raids.

In an interview, Project Lead Jeff Gardiner and Development Director Chris Mayer spoke about Fallout 76, Steam, and mods. Modding is simply part of Fallout for many players, and the statements from the heads sound promising.
What are mods and modders? Mods, short for modifications, are extensions for games that can impact various areas. They change the interface, expand some displayed information, or alter the music and significantly change the appearance or even the gameplay.
Both the Fallout series and the Elder Scrolls series, also published by Bethesda, are famous for modders continually tinkering with them and sometimes even building completely new games from the basic structure.
However, for Fallout 76, mods have caused more problems since the release, as they can provide unfair advantages in multiplayer gameplay or be seen as cheats. Bethesda has even punished some people in curious ways. Currently, however, mods seem to be at least tolerated.

This is what the chief says about mods: In an interview with PCGamer, Jeff Gardiner was asked what the current stance on modifications for Fallout 76 is. His response:
We are looking at some popular mods on PC that improve inventory management. I’m just saying, we’re aware of them. We even have a list of the top 10 mods being used, and we want to be conscious of that. Because when players use mods to play, those are clearly areas where we can improve.
However, not much more can currently be said on the subject.
Inventory and crafting are major points of criticism for the interface of Fallout 76.
Will mods be officially integrated? There has been no answer to this question yet. Gardiner only noted that there are “all kinds of plans” for the future and that it would be “poor advice” to ignore modders as part of those plans.
Additionally, private servers for Fallout 76 are also expected to come. When, is not yet known. But they will likely also have the option for modifications.

Shortly before the big livestream for Destiny 2, more information about the alleged new expansion “Shadowkeep” has emerged. The Microsoft Store is said to have briefly displayed the expansion, but has since deactivated the page. Allegedly, players will team up with Eris Morn to eliminate nightmares that aim to push humanity back into the age of darkness.
What new information is there? Allegedly, the Microsoft Store prematurely revealed more information about the possible new Destiny 2 expansion Shadowkeep. These games are available for Google Stadia
This is confirmed: Currently, only two games are certain to be coming. During the presentation of Stadia, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey was shown as an example of how Stadia works. So it’s included.
