ARK: Survival Evolved invites you to a new event. There are some features and new items – but only for a limited time. The Summer Bash 2019 was introduced with a funny clip.
This can be seen in the trailer: The new trailer for the Summer Bash 2019 showcases thrilling scenes on a beach in ARK, paired with patriotism and a lot of sex appeal.
Lightly dressed ladies bounce across the beach with surprisingly good breast physics, Uncle Sam welcomes them and is soon after devoured by a flying dinosaur – including Wilhelm scream. Throughout, various features of the event are presented.
What is the trailer referencing? The new trailer is clearly a nod to the 90s cult series “Baywatch”, which was considered oversexualized back then. It was rebooted as a film in 2017.
With stars like Pamela Anderson and the well-built David Hasselhoff, who paraded lightly clad or shirtless along the beaches of Malibu, it left many young people with lasting memories of the opposite sex.
The film also aims, according to the Youth Media Commission , to “sexualize both men, but especially women.”
This is what’s in the ARK Summer Event 2019
These features are offered in the Summer Bash: If you want to dive into the event, playing in ARK will be significantly easier. During the event, there are noticeably improved rates, which also apply to the new map Valguero:
- double breeding speed (mating intervals, incubation time of eggs, maturity)
- double experience
- double harvest
The increased rates do not apply on servers with active game modes like classic PvP or others. However, there are also numerous new items and spawns in the event:
- creatures in event colors (apparently red, white, and blue)
- sweets that give tamed creatures random dino colors (50 cooked meat)
- a “Sparkler Skin” (10 cooked meat)
- a firework skin for the flare gun (25 cooked meat)
- a firework rocket skin for the RPG launcher (50 cooked meat)
- swimwear for men and women (50 exceptional meat)
- a Uncle Sam top hat skin (100 exceptional meat)
- a Uncle Sam top hat skin for dinos (100 exceptional meat)
- a “Flexing Muscles” emote (100 smoked exceptional meat)
A competition like the Easter event apparently does not exist.
When does the event start and how long does it last? The Summer Bash 2019 starts on July 2, 2019, and ends on July 16, 2019. So you have two weeks to get the new items and take advantage of the improved rates.

This is what the players say: The first reactions to the announced changes are rather negative. Already on the official website in the comments, there are numerous points of criticism that players are raising, such as:
- rather boring content that most do not really engage
- celebration of American patriotism, while many players are not from the USA
- temporary content instead of lasting changes
In general, players wish for more bug fixes and work on the current game, rather than dealing with events. Nevertheless, ARK remains one of the most popular games on Steam:
