Fans are currently upset about a new skin in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. They claim it is a simple one-to-one copy of an already existing customization and is hard to surpass in laziness, according to some players.
This is the skin in question: In Black Ops 4, you can earn or buy numerous skins to customize your character’s appearance. One of these skins, specifically a new look for the female specialist Battery, is currently drawing the ire of many fans. But why exactly?
What is the problem with the Battery skin? The issue is that the “new” skin Fall looks exactly like the already available skin Classic. It only sports a new name.
You really have to search closely to find any real differences. Highlights of the new skin are basically a slightly higher green component in some areas and a differently colored scissor. That’s about it.
What are the fans saying? On Reddit, fans are currently venting a lot of frustration over this “new” skin. It is said to be hard to surpass in laziness and represents the content policy of Black Ops 4, according to the general sentiment. You can only shake your head at that.
Additionally, there are complaints that Treyarch is simply filling or cluttering the loot pool with such lazy reskins, making it harder to pull a really cool item from the reserve crates or reserve cases. After all, the new skin can be acquired through reserves.
Meanwhile, especially sarcastic comments are pouring in on the discussion platform:
Some believe that Treyarch could have easily entered both outfits into a “Spot the Difference” contest.
Others do not understand all the fuss: The scissor is supposed to have a different color, so it must be a brand new skin.
Still, others say that Treyarch probably forgot to pay its designers.
This has not done Treyarch any favors, as the microtransaction policy and the cosmetics of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 are already regularly under criticism.
What do you think about the whole thing? Are cosmetics generally of no concern to you and can you not understand all the fuss? Or do you share the frustration of many fans over such practices?
Borderlands 3 brings a small but nice feature that other games have already utilized. It helps group communication.
At the Guardian Con, Borderlands 3 made a small appearance and revealed some details about upcoming features. For example, the new duel mode was introduced, as well as a feature that is more suitable for cooperative actions and for those who often lose track in Pandora. You will be able to “ping” in Borderlands 3.
What does “pinging” bring? Pinging, that is marking a specific location, item, or enemy, can help maintain overview in the chaotic world. After all, there are often many enemies on screen, in addition to the numerous effects of the Vault Hunters and any story explosions in the background.
By pinging, you can direct the team’s attention to a position, so that for example, important loot is not missed.

Who benefits from it? Pinging is especially helpful if you don’t use a headset, either because you don’t have one or because you’re playing with strangers, with whom you might not want to communicate face-to-face. Regardless, it should also help established groups to quickly direct attention to important points.
The sound is praised: The small sound effect from the ping is praised for being not too intrusive yet still recognizable. At the same time, it is interesting that the characters themselves comment on the pinged object. For example, when targeting a chest, it is also commented by the character with “Hey, chest over here”.
There is criticism as well: Some comments criticize that the visual cue of the ping might be too intrusive and could obscure important things behind the crosshair. Here, there is hope that the intensity and transparency of the symbol as well as the volume of the sound can be adjusted so that it does not disturb in the game.
Do you think it’s good that Borderlands 3 is getting such a feature? Or was it something that wasn’t needed in other games as well? Do you find something like this annoying or helpful?
The chief of Final Fantasy XIV mentioned in an interview that he would like to improve the graphics of the MMORPG. This comes with several challenges.
What does the director of FFXIV say? While Square Enix’s flagship MMORPG undoubtedly looks beautiful, it is already 6 years old if counting from the reboot in 2013.
Director Yoshida would like to spice up and enhance his MMORPG. However, he mentions two fundamental issues that would arise if the team spontaneously decided to improve the graphics of Final Fantasy XIV.
This is the first problem: The high effort of such an upgrade would heavily impact the development schedule. The content cycle of Final Fantasy XIV is designed to release a new major update every 3.5 to 4 months. The development of all assets of the MMORPG is based on this schedule.
A graphic upgrade, for instance, in the style of Blade and Soul, would significantly increase the amount of work for the team.
It’s not just a matter of how many new people you hire to solve the problem. It’s quite a dilemma. If we seriously thought about adding a graphic upgrade to our current schedule, I would be very concerned about our patch cycle.
Director Yoshida
What about players on weak PCs?
This is the second problem: Another issue arises from the hardware that players use to play FFXIV. Many are using the PS4, which will soon be replaced by the upcoming PS5. Others play FFXIV on weaker PCs that could not handle a graphic upgrade.
Yoshida wants to avoid excluding players with weaker PCs accidentally, rendering them unable to play FFXIV.
We can’t just do [an upgrade] on a whim. We have to proceed meticulously and develop detailed plans. […] Of course, I would very much like to improve the graphics at some point in the future, but a lot of planning will be necessary for that.
Warframe has a special marketing campaign coming up. Those who are particularly eager to play the game could win a trip to outer space and truly become a kind of Space Ninja. How this is supposed to work, you will find out here.
What is the deal with the space trip? The loot shooter Warframe promotes the idea that you can become a Space Ninja and shred enemies in space. At least the space part is something that the developer Digital Extremes plans to bring closer to its fans in real life soon.
In celebration of the fan event Tennocon 2019, it was announced that a lucky participant of a raffle will soon be allowed to take a real trip to space.
250,000 Dollars for a real
space trip
What is the process for the space trip? If you win, you will receive a check from Digital Extremes for 250,000 US dollars. According to the developers’ calculations, this should be sufficient for a generic space trip.
You will then use this to finance your trip to space. If the whole experience costs more, that is your problem, and you will have to cover the difference yourself, as well as any potential fees and taxes.
Furthermore, you will need to arrange for a provider who will actually launch you into space. Therefore, Digital Extremes also recommends obtaining legal advice in case of a win to avoid any issues.
Alternatively, you could probably spend the money on something else if the space trip ends up being too expensive or stressful for you.
How can one win the space trip? To win, you must be drawn from a pool of participants. The draw will take place around January 11, 2020. To enter the pool, you must register on the official Warframe site.
After that, from July 6 to November 30, 2019, you will have the opportunity each day to throw an additional ticket into the pool if you complete at least one mission in the game.
From December 1 to December 31, 2019, you can even add 2 tickets to the pool daily if you complete two missions. The contest ends on December 31, 2019.
So, those who grind Warframe every day will have higher chances than those who only check in occasionally. The contest should make the already successful game even more popular.
The Pokémon GO Fest is over and thousands of players had great experiences. We will show you 6 things you missed if you weren’t there.
This was the GO Fest: Fans of Pokémon GO from all over the world gathered last weekend in Dortmund, transforming the city into a Pokémon mecca. Players were everywhere, as far as the eye could see.
The reason for this was the GO Fest in Westfalenpark, where rare shinies, regional Pokémon, and an unbelievable number of attractions could be experienced.
These 6 things you missed at the GO Fest
1. Rare Shinies: The heart of shiny hunters raced at the sight of the spawns in Westfalenpark. Rare shinies were found at every corner. Flunkifer, Nebulak, Onix, and Krabby. Everything could be found on site.
Some of the shinies that our author Noah caught
The shiny rate was also significantly increased. Players reported 5 to over 30 shinies. Those who were diligent could really score at the GO Fest and finally catch their missing shinies. According to early reports, the probability of finding a shiny was about 1 in 50.
In addition to Venuflibis, Icognito was certainly new for some players. This Pokémon rarely spawns in the wild, and fans were able to secure some new letters.
3. A glimpse into the huge community: Over the entire weekend, more than 100,000 players were expected in Dortmund. Virtually the entire city was populated, and in Westfalenpark, you could meet many players in funny costumes.
There were also quite a few crazy players in terms of XP. Various players from all over the world, who already have several hundred million XP, could be seen on site and exchange some missing Pokémon with them.

4. Experience Pokémon GO like in the early days: When the game was launched in 2016, it was chaos in every city. Everywhere you saw players, and that was exactly what was experienced now in Dortmund.
Even on Sunday, the last day of the event, players were everywhere, and there were always over 100 trainers at the raids. It felt a bit like 2016 again, and you could immediately tell: Pokémon GO is far from dead.
5. Catching Pokémon even more realistically: If you were in Westfalenpark, you saw how much effort Niantic put into the setup. The 4 habitats were built according to their themes, and you could take perfect snapshots of suitable Pokémon there.
The Steel Factory at the GO Fest
This was partly also part of the special research at the GO Fest. Jirachi only appeared if you had photographed certain Pokémon in their habitats beforehand.
6. Meeting various Pokémon stars: Especially for younger trainers, the autograph session with YouTubers was a highlight. Tickets for this were free but sold out quickly.
Furthermore, you could take pictures with Pikachu and Evoli or cool photos with cutouts of the team leaders or Professor Willow.
Was there also anything negative to report? Some players had problems with the internet. Although there were not the same issues as in 2018 during the Safari Zone in Dortmund, there were still times when you couldn’t access the app. Niantic needs to improve on this in the future.
When will there be another such event? On social networks, Niantic has already confirmed that such events should also start in 2020. It remains to be seen whether Westfalenpark will be chosen as the venue again.
In The Division 2, there are more secrets than players have discovered so far. This is stated by the Creative Director of Red Storm. Will this spark the ambition of puzzle fans?
Here’s the announcement: In an interview with the US site Game Informer, Creative Director of Red Storm, Terry Spier, says: “As I go down the checklist, there are still some open ones.” He is referring to hidden puzzles in the game.
So, there are more puzzles hidden in The Division 2 than players previously thought.
6 Secrets in The Division 2 That Have Been Found
What has already been found? In the early days of The Division 2, several puzzles have already been discovered and solved. The shooter offered some clever puzzles, Easter Eggs, and “normal” secrets:
What’s coming next? From the latest statements, we know that more puzzles are still on the developers’ ominous checklist. What exactly they are will hopefully be revealed by clever puzzle solvers soon.
We can be sure that more puzzles are planned. The new activity “Expedition,” coming with Episode 1, is based on the masks from the base game and aims to give puzzle enthusiasts more to do.
Star Wars: The Old Republic has changed drastically in nearly 8 years. The video shows what has become of the once hoped-for “WoW killer.”
The MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic had great ambitions back then. It was treated by eager fans before its release as a potential “WoW killer” and it had the best starting conditions for that. With Star Wars, BioWare had an extremely popular brand, and the game itself aimed to do many things better than the competition.
For instance, SWTOR was characterized by particularly many story content, which in typical BioWare fashion came with cutscenes, dialogue choices, or even romances.
WoW Killer? SWTOR has charted its own course.
But what has actually become of SWTOR in recent years? How has the game developed over the last years? Is it still lacking in endgame content and rich in story? How does it look in terms of PvP?
All these questions have been answered in detail by the colleagues at GameStar in a video. Additionally, they also address other aspects:
Is SWTOR still the same game as at launch?
Can SWTOR still keep its players engaged today?
What are the biggest criticisms and what are the greatest strengths?

Anyone who can spare a little time should definitely take around 17 minutes to experience a small retrospective that shows the development of Star Wars: The Old Republic and gives a preview of the future.
After all, in a few months, the new expansion “Onslaught” is coming, which will bring fresh wind to the seemingly neglected game.
How do you like SWTOR at the moment? Are you long-term players? Do you just drop in now and then? Or did you stop shortly after the release and never give the MMO another chance?
In Fortnite there is currently the “14 Days of Summer” challenge to find a tiny rubber duck from the loading screen. However, the little duck is causing big problems. Apparently, only one player per match can find the little rubber duck in Fortnite.
The challenge was already funny because everyone assumed beforehand that one would have to find a shell. Apparently, Epic changed this challenge at the last minute.
Where do I find the duck? We have explained all this in a guide, it is way down south on the map. It is not a problem to find the bathtub with the duck in it.
But those who arrive there are often disappointed.
Here you can find the rubber duck.
The problem with the tiny rubber duck in Fortnite
What is the problem? The problem is that not all players can loot the tiny rubber duck. The challenge seems to be buggy.
It looks like the challenge can only be completed by one player per match. Only the first player per match gets the little rubber duck.
Anyone trying to loot the duck after the first player will come up empty.
This is what Epic says: They say the challenge is harder than expected. They are working on fixing the challenge in a few days.
New limited-time mode as a solution
This is how players cope: Players give other tips (via reddit), on how you can solve the problem in Fortnite already:
If you play in a “Limited Time Mode”, your chance of grabbing the tiny rubber duck alone is higher – the fewer players in the mode, the better.
Another tip from a reader of the “MeinMMO” Facebook page for Fortnite is to do the challenge with four people and activate group assistance. This also increases the chance of completing the quest in one go.
Others say that the problem will simply resolve itself over time as more players loot the tiny rubber duck in Fortnite – then it will not be so coveted anymore.
There have been previous challenges where players competed against each other, as only one per match could solve a specific item for the challenge. With the rubber duck, it is also the case, but that was not planned by Epic.
In Destiny 2 the Moments of Triumph return on July 9. This year you have the chance to conquer certain challenges and earn unique rewards. With these prizes, you can proudly show that you were part of Year 2.
What are the Moments of Triumph all about? In the form of the Moments of Triumph, Bungie traditionally looks back on the past Destiny year with the fans and wants to celebrate it together with the Guardians – this time in honor of Year 2 in Destiny 2.
In this context, you must complete numerous characteristic milestones of the 2nd year to claim some exclusive rewards. With these, you can show that you participated in the second year of Destiny 2 and remained loyal to the game.

Are you participating in the Moments of Triumph? Or is it not for you?And what do you think of the rewards?
A new detail about the duels in Borderlands 3 promises that there will be plenty of chaos. We will tell you what is changing.
Duels are simply a part of a “Borderlands” game. While they almost never have a real purpose, they are a fun addition to the game that can lighten the gameplay and provide some laughter in voice chat. There will be duels in Borderlands 3 again – this time more than two players can participate.
What is changing in the duels? In Borderlands 3, duels can not only be fought in “1 vs 1” but all four Vault Hunters can compete against each other in a kind of deathmatch. Anyone can hurt anyone until only one player remains, who will then be declared the winner of this “duel”. This is of course much more chaotic and allows players to temporarily team up to give a comrade a good beating. They probably deserve it.
What do duels bring? Basically, Borderlands is not a PvP game, as neither the weapons nor the talent systems are designed for that. However, it can be fun to challenge a friend to a duel when they have made a silly remark or interrupted NPC dialogues because they rushed forward too quickly.
Or you can take the simplest of all reasons: Loot. Those who argue over a weapon that all players can use can just settle it in a quick chaos duel.
Anyone who wants to fly in World of Warcraft has to farm some reputation. This week, however, it goes particularly fast!
Many players in World of Warcraft have already unlocked flying for the areas of Battle for Azeroth. However, some players are still struggling because to unlock flying, they need to be respected by two new factions. This involves a reputation grind, which is best done by completing all world quests for several days.
However, this week it goes particularly quickly, thanks to the Darkmoon Faire. There’s a nice buff that increases reputation gain.
How do you get to the Faire? You can directly reach the Darkmoon Faire through two portals. One is in Mulgore in front of the elevator at Thunder Bluff, the other is in the Elwynn Forest directly south of the town of Goldshire. Alternatively, you can also speak to the Darkmoon NPCs in any major city. For a small fee of a few silver pieces, they will teleport you directly to the portal area of the Faire.
The carousel provides the buff.
How do you get the buff? To get the buff, you have several options. You can either ride the small carousel or hop on the big roller coaster. However, you need a Darkmoon Ticket for each, which you can buy from the Pandaren Kae Ti and Mae Ti right in front of the attractions.
Once you ride, you will receive the “Yippee!” buff, which increases in duration up to a maximum of one hour. It increases the reputation gain from all sources (quests, enemy kills, redeeming reputation tokens) by 10%. This significantly reduces the required farming time.
By the way, the buff is also suitable for leveling second characters, as it also grants an additional 10% experience points. So if you want to level up twinks and prepare them for the raid on Wednesday, you should use the buff as well.
Until when is the Faire active? The Faire appears on the first Sunday of each month and stays for exactly 7 days. It disappears at midnight on Saturday, July 13.
Have you already unlocked flying in Battle for Azeroth? Are you still working on it? Or are you not pursuing this goal at all?
At TennoCon, the developer Digital Extremes revealed what players can expect in Warframe after the Empyrean update. Duviri Paradox will bring the third open world to the game. And according to the trailer, it looks quite psychedelic and surreal.
What is the new open world? At TennoCon, the developers from Digital Extremes also introduced content currently in development. They are currently working on “The Duviri Paradox,” which will introduce a new open world to Warframe.
Duviri Paradox is thus the third open world in the action RPG. Previously, the Plains of Eidolon and Fortuna have already been released.
When will Duviri Paradox be released? A release date for Duviri Paradox has not yet been announced. However, the Empyrean update will be released later this year, which will allow players to speed through space in battle ships. A specific date for the release is also not known at this time.

What can be seen in the trailer? The announcement of “The Duviri Paradox” came with a trailer that was meant to showcase the new game world. The images are quite disturbing and seem to scream “bad trip.” This fits well with the trailer description from Digital Extremes: “Tenno, it’s time to grow up.”
The trailer features a masked man in a suit wandering across a strange landscape filled with alien shapes and swirling mists. A terrifying mechanical dragon comes toward him, but it flies away and pays little attention to the man.
Suddenly, a horse’s scream is heard, and in the distance, a rider appears, charging directly toward the masked man. The man cannot defend himself until he sees in a dreamlike vision that a weapon is hidden in the landscape.
“Tenno, it’s time to grow up.”
During the fight, the man loses his mask, revealing an visibly aged Tenno.
What do the players say? Since the trailer does not reveal much about the upcoming open world but only showcases kind of a psychedelic dream, players are discussing how the showcased elements fit into the story of Warframe. What is the rider, and what does he signify? Is it a known race or a new threat that exploits Orokin tech?
The grown-up Tenno from the video is generally well received by the players. They joke that the character could be Hayden Tenno, the protagonist from Dark Sector. The shooter was released by Digital Extremes in 2008.
Currently, there are a total of 13 pinnacle weapons in the now 7th season of Destiny 2 that players can hunt. But which of these special firearms belong to the best of their kind? And which ones are a complete waste of time? Participate in our survey and cast your vote!
What are pinnacle weapons, anyway? These are special, legendary weapons with unique powerful perks that were introduced for the first time with the Redrix Claymore in Season 3.
These perks make some instances nearly as strong as exotic weapons. The pinnacle weapons are supposed to represent special rewards that are among the best that Destiny 2 has to offer in its arsenal. Some of them indeed are.
But it is not only their special properties that set pinnacle weapons apart. The path to acquiring these firearms differs from regular loot. These so-called pinnacle weapons can only be obtained through lengthy, elaborate quests. This involves mastering numerous challenging tasks in various areas of the game, which is usually associated with a lot of effort, time, and dedication.
What pinnacle weapons are there in Destiny 2?
Currently, there are 13 pinnacle weapons in the game. The latest three were only recently introduced with the start of Season 7. The first specimen was introduced back in May 2018. Below, we present all weapons available to date.
Pulse Rifle Redrix’s Claymore
The Redrix’s Claymore is the very first pinnacle weapon in Destiny 2. In Season 3, it was essentially the grand prize in the Crucible and excited the PvP community. It is no longer available now.
Its trademark is the perk “Desperado”. This increases its fire rate after reloading while your perk “Outlaw” is active. Thus, the Redrix fires like a rapid-firing pulse rifle for 7 seconds, while retaining its damage as a high-impact rifle.
Pulse Rifle Redrix’s Broadsword
The Redrix’s Broadsword is the direct successor to the Redrix’s Claymore and was introduced with Season 4.
To make the Crucible more attractive to a broader audience of Guardians, Bungie retired the Claymore and introduced the now more easily obtainable Broadsword. This retained the Desperado perk but came with random traits, making the weapon better than its predecessor.
Hand Cannon Luna’s Howl
Luna’s Howl was also introduced in Season 4 and is available through PvP. It is one of the best hand cannons in the Crucible, even after its nerf. This weapon is particularly good at medium and close range.
With its perk “Magnificent Howl”, two rapid precision shots grant bonus damage to body shots for a short time, until you get your next kill or miss a shot.
Hand Cannon Not Forgotten
The Not Forgotten is the sister weapon of Luna’s Howl. It was also introduced in Season 4 and can be obtained through the Crucible.
It shares the special perk “Magnificent Howl” with its sister weapon but is designed for longer ranges. However, it is less stable. Like Luna’s Howl, the Not Forgotten was nerfed with the start of Season 7.
Fusion Rifle Sweet Business
The Sweet Business was introduced in Season 5 to Destiny 2 and was the first pinnacle weapon of the Vanguard. Thus, PvE players finally got a special toy they could chase after.
When the magazine of the Sweet Business is full, its unique perk “Prepared Salvo” causes the next salvo to deal additional damage and enemies to explode upon death.
Auto Rifle Breakneck
Breakneck was introduced in Season 5 and was the first pinnacle weapon that could be obtained through the Gambit mode.
The unique perk of Breakneck is called Rampage and increases the fire rate of this weapon when stacking its perk Frenzy.
Its special perk Micro-Missile allows this grenade launcher to fire straight shots and greatly increases projectile speed. In addition, the weapon’s projectile explodes on impact.
This Scout Rifle is the pinnacle weapon of the Vanguard from Season 6. Many fans consider it to be the weakest of all previous pinnacle weapons. This scout rifle was supposed to revive the combination of scout rifles and the perk Dragonfly (in Destiny 1 Fireball), but it has never met expectations.
Its special perk is called Meganeura. With this, the Dragonfly perk (precision kills create an elemental damage explosion) of the SG3 does more damage. The damage is increased based on the number of precision hits landed prior.
Submachine Gun The Recluse
The SMG Recluse has been obtainable through PvP since Season 6 and is considered one of the better pinnacle weapons by fans, unlike the Oxygen SG3.
Through its unique perk Weapon Mastery, kills with any weapon temporarily increase the damage of the Recluse.
Machine Gun 21% Delirium
In Gambit, one could score the heavy MG 21% Delirium as a pinnacle weapon in Season 6. By the way, it was the first rapid-fire machine gun in Destiny 2.
The special perk of the Delirium is called Kill Tracker. Thus, kills increase the weapon’s damage until you stow the MG or reload it.
The Prodigy is one of the three newest pinnacle weapons in Destiny 2. This sniper can be earned through the Crucible since the start of Season 7.
With the perk “Abundance of Wealth”, a fired round returns to the magazine after a short time if you miss.
Grenade Launcher Wendigo GL3
Grenade launchers are currently trending as power weapons in Season 7. The Wendigo is regarded as one of the best legendary alternatives for the power slot.
With its unique perk “Explosive Light”, collected spheres of light increase the explosion radius of its grenades as well as the weapon’s damage.
Additionally, the grenades can blind your opponents, which prevents Fallen Captains from teleporting. Up to six grenades (i.e., a full magazine) can be enhanced through spheres.
Bow Silence
A bow can be earned as a pinnacle weapon in Gambit in Season 7. Thus, this relatively new weapon type now has a representative among the pinnacle weapons.
The special perk “Hunter’s Gambit” grants you a significant draw speed bonus for a short time when you score precision hits from the hip.
Hunter’s Gambit is supposed to pay off more than the comparable perk Hunter’s Tempo. However, it also requires more skill to really get the most out of Silence.
Survey – Vote for the best pinnacle weapons of Destiny 2
Guardians agree on the qualities of numerous pinnacle weapons. However, opinions on some can be quite divided among players.
Therefore, we want to know which are currently the best pinnacle weapons of Destiny 2 in the eyes of our readers. Which of these special firearms truly deserve their designation as a pinnacle weapon?

What do you think, which weapons will make it to the top 3?
Google Stadia will open up entirely new possibilities. The head of the cult RPG studio Larian, Swen Vincke, is sure of that. For him, Google’s new streaming service is more exciting than the next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett. The man behind Baldur’s Gate also talks about what is possible for developers – and how Google Stadia will initiate a development.
Why is Stadia more interesting than PS5 and Scarlett? As “next-gen” consoles, Xbox Scarlett and PlayStation 5 aim to provide a new gaming experience. SSDs are supposed to help reduce loading times, among other things.
According to Swen Vincke, one of the minds behind Baldur’s Gate 3, this is not such a big step for gaming overall.
Some features of the PS5.
In an interview with wccftech, he stated that PC gamers have had SSDs for a long time. Stadia, on the other hand, has something that no system has been able to offer a developer before:
It offers developers something different [new]. In the data centers, the devices are connected to each other, and you can think about something like “elastic rendering.” Like: pack a few servers together and let them simulate physics that are not possible on local hardware.
A technology like Stadia goes far beyond the capabilities of home devices like desktop PCs or consoles.
Baldur’s Gate 3, the new game from Larian, will also be released for Google Stadia.
What makes Stadia stronger than PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett?
This is what the Stadia head says: Around the presentation of Google Stadia, Stadia head Phil Harrison explained what makes Stadia so interesting for developers. He highlighted a major advantage that no other platform has been able to offer so far:
If you have nearly unlimited computing power available in a data center to support your game design and ambitions […] then there are things you can do within this center that would never be possible on a standalone device.
Basically, this means that Stadia offers a developer a completely open playground where they can unleash themselves and create the most elaborate things.
However, Vincke himself is not sure if that is a good thing:
The only ones who will benefit from a subscription model are really big blockbusters. I’m not sure that small [studios] will achieve a breakthrough with the services because they are super dependent on the provider of the model and what they offer on their front page. I don’t think it’s a good idea to leave all the power in the hands of a few key figures.
Whether and how the market will develop in this direction remains to be seen. At least Microsoft and Sony are already working to compete with Google:
Korean player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is considered a dominant player of the League of Legends of the last decade. However, his star seemed to be fading. Now he makes a spectacular comeback in LoL, especially against the reigning world champions Invictus Gaming.
What kind of play is this? The match is between the Koreans of SKT Telecom and the Chinese Invictus Gaming, who are regarded as the best LoL team in the world.
The game is already advanced. After 34 minutes, most players are around level 16. The Chinese team leads with 12 to 7 kills and is attacking SKT1’s base. It looks like a 4 vs 3 in favor of the Chinese.

At the beginning of the fight, Camille from SKT1 goes down quickly. Then Faker (23) enters the fight with the champ Azir. He charges from behind into the backline of Invictus Gaming and dismantles it piece by piece.
Faker takes out the opposing Lux, while SKT Jungler Clid previously eliminates Taliyah, who Faker served to him. The heroine Taliyah is played by Rookie, who was also one of the greats at the World Championship.
Sylas from Invictus Gaming can only hold on briefly with the stop-watch until Faker takes him down. In the end, the ADC JackeyLove is caught while trying to escape, and Faker turns a teamfight that seemed already lost for SKT1. The fight ends with a 4:3 for SKT1. Faker secures 3 kills.
However, SKT1 could not turn the match anymore. After 42 minutes, Invictus Gaming won. On Reddit, people analyze: SKT1 still has a problem on the top lane:
Khan on Camille played 0-6-6 here. His counterpart “TheShy” is regarded as an exceptional player on the top lane.
This is why the clip is special: Faker shows that he still has it and plays exceptionally well against the 2018 World Championship team. SKT1 was not present at the World Championship – they could not qualify. And the tournament was painfully disappointing for Korea.
The clip is seen by LoL fans as a sign that Faker and SKT1 can still play high-level League of Legends. The clip has now reached 278,905 views.
In the chat, people are shouting “Faker 1vs9” – “The King is back” or “Faker the Savior.” The casters also get more and more excited as the clip progresses.
In LoL, a duel between Faker and JackeyLove is roughly equivalent to a football match between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, this year, Faker seems to have another tough battle for the crown. The team currently has problems and stands with 3-5 in 7th place in the Korean LCK league.
At the Guardian Con, Bungie revealed some small details this week about the upcoming expansion for Destiny 2, Shadowkeep. At the event, a replica of a new weapon was shown, which will be introduced with the Season of Dawn. The heavy machine gun does not yet have a name, but it has a great gimmick: its energy apparently comes from an old insect trapped in amber.
What kind of weapon is this? This weekend, the Guardian Con is taking place, where several developers from Bungie are also present. The Guardian Con is a community and fundraising event that was started in 2015 by some Destiny streamers.
At the event, Bungie also wanted to reveal some details about the upcoming expansion Shadowkeep and they delivered: A real model of a weapon was specially made to present it to the players.
The new weapon is said to be an exotic heavy machine gun that offers a rather quirky detail: it seems to be powered by an insect trapped in amber.

What does the weapon look like? Not much is known about the weapon yet, and it doesn’t seem to have a name either. It has also not been revealed how players can obtain this monstrosity in the Season of Dawn.
However, according to the model, the weapon is quite a hefty piece. In the middle, there is an opening where the ammo belt goes in. This is probably done through a flap that opens on the model and also reveals the “battery”: Behind the ammo belt is a device in which an amber is clamped. In the amber, a large, alien-like insect is trapped. The amber and the weapon are connected via hoses and cables.

It is still unknown whether the weapon behaves the same way in the game and whether players can also see the “drive” of the MG in Destiny 2. But with such a quirky gimmick, it is to be expected that it will also occur in the game and be visible in some way.
What else was there from the Guardian Con? Previously, there was already discussion at the Guardian Con about the four seasons of Season of Dawn. The first season will be called “Season of the Undying” and will not only take place on the Moon but will also bring Vex invasions throughout the solar system.
In Fortnite: Battle Royale you can now find Fortbyte #40. However, you can only get this Fortbyte if you wear a specific outfit, which you must first unlock.
Where is the Fortbyte? According to the description in the game, Fortbyte number 40 is “on a sundial in the desert.” The location is somewhat hidden, and you need to equip the “Demi Outfit” to access it.
Get Fortbyte Number 40 with the Demi Outfit on a Sundial
Here’s how you can collect the Fortbyte: The byte is located on a small plateau where some objects have been arranged to form a kind of sundial. However, simply landing there is not enough. To collect the Fortbyte, you need to wear the “Demi” outfit.

A film based on The Division is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix. With top stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain, the film boasts a prominent cast. The agents from The Division 2 are already making jokes at the film’s expense.
This is what Ubisoft says: They say that the film for “The Division” has a director, writers, and now a home, thanks to Netflix. The film will come exclusively to the streaming platform Netflix.
The director is David Leitch (Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, The Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs&Shaw)
Writer will be Rafe Judkins (Agents of Shield, The Wheel of Time)
Lead actor is Jake Gyllenhaal (Source Code, Nightcrawler, End of Watch, Prince of Persia)
Lead actress will be Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty, A Most Violent Year, Interstellar).
This is what is known about the plot: Ubisoft says that the film takes place in a “near future,” where a virus spread through cash on Black Friday. The virus has killed millions of people in New York City.
If civilization has any hope of not descending into chaos, it will be up to the “Division”, a group of highly trained civilians, to save what is left of humanity.
The best quotes from the agents at the film’s expense
Here are the agents’ quotes: On Reddit, players are already amusing themselves greatly, even without having seen the film or having more information. They reference many quirks from The Division 1 and 2 and how the film might portray them:
“For half the movie, Gyllenhaal will be rummaging through his inventory and recalibrating things”
“The credits must end with a Delta error.”
“They will nerf his weapons because they are OP”
“10% to 15% of the movie will be waiting on cooldown”
“It will be that Gyllenhaal reaches level 30, only to find out that friends won’t help him save the world until he has 4 raid badges, 500 gear score, and a bulletproof image.”
When will the film come to Netflix? Neither Ubisoft nor Netflix currently have a date. It is also unknown if filming has already taken place. Gyllenhaal is currently appearing in the new Spider-Man.
The second to last challenge of the 14 Days of Summer event in Fortnite is online. This time you have to find a specific hidden duck. The little rubber duck in Fortnite can only be found if you study a specific beach-themed loading screen or read our guide about it.
Update: As the YouTuber WohltatTV explains in a new video, you apparently need to find a duck at the appropriate location. If there was any confusion, you can find a video with new information here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPq8Dr2rc-s
Update 8.7. 9:56 AM: There was a bug with the task; therefore it is difficult. We will explain how to work around it.
Original message – This is the challenge: The 13th task of the 14 Days of Summer challenges involves looking for a duck from a loading screen with a shell.
In the image from the challenge with the water balloons, you can see some coordinates in the bottom left. These indicate where you need to go. However, you do not need to have completed the challenge itself.
The location of the little rubber duck from the loading screen
Where can I find the hidden duck? The location shown in the beach title image is located at the very southern part of the map. As seen in the image, the location should be exactly at the intersection of the fields H9, I9, H10, and I10.
Is there also a video? We have embedded an explanatory video from the YouTuber WohltatTV. In it, you will see in detail how to find the hidden duck. Have fun!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NqEiOkZY7c
What is the problem with the task? As always, you also have the problem here that many other players also know where the sought duck is.
And even if there are honorable players who let you search in peace, some mean player takes great pleasure in shooting you while you are searching for the duck on the beach.
So keep a close eye and maybe only head to the duck location when the first dust has settled after landing. This way you have a better chance of success.
What do you get as a reward? If you have completed this task, you will receive fun beach party music for the lobby as a reward. Perfect to bring even more summer party vibes.

Electronic Arts stock dipped 5% on Friday after Twitch viewership numbers were announced. Apparently, the shooter Apex Legends is unable to maintain the highs from February and March as it enters Season 2 in July.
Between the peak on July 3 ($103.19) and the low on July 5 ($92.01), the stock lost even more value.
What’s the reason? It is believed to be related to the Twitch numbers of Apex Legends, which were revealed on Friday morning. Apex Legends has started Season 2 last week with a major patch, introducing a new legend, Wattson, along with many changes and a new Battle Pass.
While Twitch numbers increased at the start of the season, they could not match the peak in February and March:
In March, Apex Legends had more than 100,000 average viewers per day – in February at launch, the numbers were even significantly higher.
By Wednesday in July, the average dropped to 45,000.
Here’s the realization: Apparently, the market expected that Apex Legends would experience a boom with the start of Season 2, continuing the highs from spring.
Apex Legends ended EA’s “Battlefield 1” crisis on the stock market last spring:
However, it seems that Apex Legends is not experiencing such explosive growth. At least on Twitch, Season 2 hasn’t brought a significant upswing.
The viewer numbers have doubled, but from a low level.
What’s behind this: It is fascinating how the market reacts to Twitch viewership numbers these days.
If the market expected Apex Legends to have a similar trajectory as Fortnite and be hot during each season launch, that expectation has now been disappointed.
The big hype surrounding Apex Legends will probably not be triggered by Season 2. It seems clear now that it will not become the “next Fortnite.” The hype from the surprise release in February has faded, and Apex Legends is a good game with its fans, but not a “cultural phenomenon” as it seemed in the first weeks.
