Smart fans have already spotted new exotic weapons and armor pieces in the trailer and images for Season 7 of Destiny 2. All confirmed Exotics are now in the game. But are there more to come?
What do we actually know about new Exotics in Season 7? On June 4, the seventh season of Destiny 2 kicked off – the Season of Opulence. In addition to new content, there are also one or two new Exotics. We’ll look at which new exotic items are already known and which Exotics could still come in Season 7.
These weapon Exotics of Season 7 are already known
Which weapons are confirmed? Four new guns for Season 7 are now confirmed. However, only two exotic weapons are truly new. The other two guns are well-known and popular returners from Destiny 1.
The returner: Rocket Launcher “Truth”
So you might know the Truth: This rocket launcher should be familiar to many Destiny veterans. Because the Truth originally comes from Destiny 1. There, it was particularly known for the aggressive tracking of its rockets.
This is what the Truth can do in Destiny 2: With the perk “Prototype Truth Seeker”, the rockets of the Truth gain a tracking function. Additionally, this rocket launcher targets enemies when the aiming device is used.
Specifically, this means: The aggressive tracking from the predecessor has been retained. Once you’ve aimed at the enemy, you can almost aim in another direction, and the rocket will still hit. Many Guardians feel the power of this rocket launcher, especially in PvP and during invasions in Gambit.

Another returner: The Pulse Rifle Bad Juju
So you might already know Bad Juju: Just like the Truth, Bad Juju is also a returner from Destiny 1. There, this weapon was particularly popular because it could additionally charge the Guardians’ Super. But many players also appreciated the general performance of the pulse rifle.
This is what Bad Juju can do in Destiny 2: This exotic pulse rifle has a rate of fire of 450, and it fires fully automatic. The intrinsic perk Curse Rain causes kills to reload the magazine of Bad Juju, temporarily increase the weapon’s damage, and grant Super energy – depending on the strength of the Curse Rain (up to 5x stackable).
As a masterwork, the duration of Curse Rain is extended for Bad Juju. This makes it easier to achieve a 5-stack of the perk.

New exotic Hand Cannon Lumina
What makes the Lumina special? The Lumina is a genuine novelty in the world of Destiny. It is the first weapon that can not only kill but also heal and buff allies.
Kills with the Lumina leave behind Spheres. When you pick up a Sphere, the next hip fire shot is converted into a “Noble Round”, and the magazine is partially replenished. You can stack up to 5 Noble Rounds.
These Noble Rounds track allied targets. If you hit a Guardian with them, it heals the ally and increases both their and your weapon damage for 10 seconds – about +20% in PvP and +35% in PvE.

New Submachine Gun – “Tarrabah”
What makes the Tarrabah special? The Tarrabah deals Solar damage and is carried in the energy slot. The exotic perk of the weapon is called “Greedy Beast”.
This allows the weapon to store the momentum of incoming or outgoing damage. You recognize this by a glowing stripe on the side of the weapon. This will be “filled up” and become increasingly larger.
When the maximum momentum is reached, you will be notified on the screen. You can then unleash the Beast by holding the reload button. Specifically, this means:
- the weapon deals more damage
- the rate of fire is increased
- you reload this weapon faster
Furthermore, the Tarrabah has the perk “Bottomless Clip”. This causes the duration of Greedy Beast to be extended when you deal continuous damage with the weapon.

How do you get this weapon? The weapon is only available through the new raid “Crown of Sorrow”. It can drop randomly from the end boss for you.
These weapon Exotics could still come in Season 7
Where do these informations come from? Alongside the confirmed weapon Exotics, two more weapons could find their way into the game during Season 7.

This individual leaked extensive details about Forsaken and the contents of the Annual Pass ahead of time and has so far been correct with all their information. However, it remains to be seen whether this will also be the case for these two Exotics. There is still no official statement on this.
According to their statements, the following Destiny 1 Exotics could also return in Season 7:
Hand Cannon “Hawkmoon”
What is the Hawkmoon? The Hawkmoon was an exotic Hand Cannon for the kinetic slot that was extremely strong in the first year of Destiny and dominated the Crucible.
What can the Hawkmoon do? It had good stats, and its perks Roulette and Double-Dip were very powerful. A random round in the magazine dealt significantly more damage, and two other random projectiles also dealt increased damage. This allowed you to take out other Guardians with two shots or sometimes just one shot in PvP.

Currently, Guardians are not sure if “the bird we all love” might refer to the legendary hand cannon “Falkner”. This weapon came into play with Season 7 and is based on the model of the popular Eyasluna from Destiny 1, which in turn is based on the model of the Hawkmoon.
Sword “Dark Drinker”
What is the Dark Drinker? This is an exotic Void sword that was very popular in Destiny 1.
What can the Dark Drinker do? The perk Giant Vortex allowed the Dark Drinker to spin continuously as a heavy attack. The wielder would rotate like a blade spiral, dealing damage in all directions. This sword was an excellent choice, especially against some bosses like Aksis from the “Wrath of the Machines” raid and against majors or groups of enemies.

These new armor Exotics are already confirmed
How were these Exotics discovered? Aside from the new weapons, attentive fans discovered three exotic armor pieces in the promotional material for the Season of Opulence that have already all been introduced during Season 7. All three armor Exotics are actually returners from Destiny 1.
How do you get these new Exotics? You will receive them like all regular Exotics as random drops from all sources that can drop exotic engrams.
Hunter Gloves “Khepri’s Sting”
What can these gloves do in Destiny 2? In Destiny 2, these gloves now work differently. If you hit an enemy with full melee energy, the smoke bomb will trigger immediately. You also gain True Sight when you are in your own smoke bomb effect. The “Sting” is thus specifically tailored for the Nightstalker Hunter.
For comparison – What could the gloves do in Destiny 1? When crouching, the gloves would make their wearer invisible for a short time. Moreover, during invisibility, one would deal 4 times damage when attacking an enemy from behind with a melee attack. Additionally, melee attacks had a lingering damage effect.
Warlock Helmet “Astrocyte Verse”
What can this helmet do in Destiny 2? With this helmet, you teleport with the Void Warlock further and more often. At the end of the blink teleport, your weapon is also quickly ready, and the radar remains active.
For comparison – What could the helmet do in Destiny 1? This exotic helmet granted a temporary increase in recovery during short teleports, also known as blink. This allowed Void Warlocks to regenerate this ability faster and use it more often.
Titan Leg Armor “Peregrine Greaves”
What can this leg armor do in Destiny 2? All shoulder charge abilities of the Titan, namely
- Seismic Strike
- Hammer Strike
- or Shield Explosion
deal bonus damage when activated in mid-air with these boots. Thus, all Titan focuses can benefit from this Exo.
For comparison – What could this Exo do in Destiny 1? This exotic was tailored to the Striker Titan in Destiny 1. Thus, the wearer dealt bonus damage with a shoulder charge if this attack was activated in mid-air. Additionally, agility was increased for 5 seconds after an Arc double kill.
