Not even the world champion in Fortnite, Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, stands a chance against the new mechs. After being crushed by a B.I.E.S.T. live on a Twitch stream, the outcry was huge. The protest against the powerful vehicles is now so massive that Epic is likely on the verge of a nerf.
Who is Bugha? He recently won 3 million USD just a few weeks ago when he became the world champion in the Fortnite Solo World Cup with his outstanding gameplay.
This was shortly after his world championship victory.
Mech 1 – World Champion 0
This was the situation: On August 7, Bugha was live on Twitch with top players Timothy “Bizzle” Miller and Danny “Dubs” Walsh. They were playing the new “Trio” mode in arena format.
During the stream, Bugha enthusiastically builds structures that brought him so much success at the world championship. But the mech has no problems with that. Bugha still screams in Terminator style: “I will take care of the robot,” only to be crushed shortly after.
After that, he yells: “Oh my God. I will never play this game again” and logs off immediately.
Seconds later, he has calmed down a bit and says: “Epic Games, take them out immediately. I know you are watching my stream. Take them out.”
The announcement of never playing again had probably already faded away.
Building and shooting, which is so important to pros, does little against the “beasts”. The driver can crush everything while the shooter still blasts his victims with shotguns and rockets.
Epic has already announced that they will reassess the strength of the mechs. At the moment, everyone is expecting a nerf for the beasts soon – maybe already in the update next week or even via a hotfix.
This is what it’s about: At the beginning of a season, Epic often brings something that completely shakes Fortnite up and caters to the “casual players”.
The online shooter Apex Legends was supposed to have a major appearance on the sports channel ESPN this coming Sunday. However, due to the recent shootings in the USA and likely because of the statement from President Trump, that will not happen now.
What was planned? The major US sports channel ESPN had planned a 2-hour special on eSports for Sunday, August 11th. It was supposed to be a highlight show of the tournament “EXP Invitational APEX Legends at X Games”.
The tournament itself already took place from August 2nd to 3rd in Minneapolis at the X Games. The show on ESPN was meant to emphasize the highlights and best moments, and likely also bring eSports closer to the mainstream.
But now it has been announced that the show will not take place. Instead, there will be a documentary about hockey at the same broadcast time.

Why won’t the tournament be shown anymore? According to a tweet from eSports specialist Rod “Slasher” Breslau, the recent shootings in the USA are the reason for the cancellation of the show.

Destructive (Destructive) – The best passive utility talent
This is what the talent “Destructive” does: You gain +20% explosion damage.
This makes the talent so strong: Destructive is currently one of the best talents for skill builds. Especially for this bombastic drone build. With it, you can significantly increase the explosion damage your skills deal.
Destructive can be found in all 6 armor slots. And if you equip 6x Destructive, you will blast away all enemies.
More good passive utility talents:
Capacitive: This talent gives +20% skill duration. However, the bonus is relatively low, which is why you should increase skill duration with mods instead.
Empowered: This talent gives +10% skill strength. However, you better increase this bonus with armor attributes.

On August 6, the MMORPG Legends of Aria was released in Early Access on Steam. We took a look at the first reactions and will tell you what the game does well and where its weaknesses lie.
What is Legends of Aria? Legends of Aria is a sandbox MMORPG where you have to set your own goals to enjoy the game world.
Your character has no class; instead, you improve it by leveling skills. You can also avoid combat and pursue your path as a merchant or craftsman.
Originally, the MMORPG was known as Shards Online and relied on community-created servers. Players were supposed to set their own rules and modify stories and quests.
This system is still present in Legends of Aria, although the developers have created their own world in which you can let loose.
How is Legends of Aria rated on Steam? Currently, the reviews for the MMORPG are very balanced. 55% of the 125 ratings are positive.
However, the number is still low, and many reviews are based on experiences players have had outside of Steam. The game has been playable for supporters who invested money earlier for a significantly longer time.
Is Legends of Aria an Ultima Online 2.0?
How is Legends of Aria structured? In the reviews, the comparison to Ultima Online is often drawn. The reason for this is the many freedoms and the sandbox aspect.
CUFreeze: “As a former UO player, the game is really super. It’s like turning back time – just paired with more modern graphics.”
Deathsummer: “The game is a mix of Runescape and Ultima Online.”
User Sanitarium666 highlights the crafting system and housing. However, he also warns players that they will hardly be guided and have to set their goals entirely on their own.
Player Kugelfang goes even further and points out that the game also involves grind. While necessary, he believes it doesn’t result in significant time pressure or stress.
The fact that the entry can be really tough is also confirmed by the review from Werfgun. He finds the game too difficult and is also unhappy with the graphic style. The game already seems old to him and thus doesn’t make a good impression.

This opinion is shared by many other users. Felty256 even goes so far as to try to make Legends of Aria an RTS game with his own creatures.
What about PvP? In the positive reviews, much is also discussed about the latest changes to PvP. The developers have declared many mid-game areas in the official Legends of Aria as safe zones with consensual PvP.
Some players appreciate this change, who would rather focus on crafting. They do not understand why one must attack and even kill weaker players.
Others criticize this and at the same time accuse the developers of being aimless.
Developers give a clueless impression
Where is Legends of Aria headed? Many players wonder what the actual goal of the MMORPG is. Originally, only community servers were planned, but now Legends of Aria offers its own world.
This world initially resembled Ultima Online quite a bit, but many recent changes are moving the game in a different direction. The reduction of open-world PvP is seen by many as a dagger in the back of the game’s original concept.

The developers have no real vision for the game. Their plans are based on aimless feedback implemented in the worst form.
The Archery Tamer was too strong a build and the developers weakened it so much that it became useless due to movement delays, halved damage, and missing skills.
This happened not only with that build but with every other system in the game.
Janus10 describes Legends of Aria as a game where he cannot explain why it does not feel good for him. All areas are unfinished, and it lacks a sense of reward. In his view, the game could still develop positively in the future.
Some backers are particularly disappointed
Why are LoA backers disappointed? Some players invested a lot of money in Legends of Aria beforehand. While you currently only have to pay 16.49 euros for the Early Access on Steam, some of them spent 100 dollars or more.
For this, they were also promised special items and benefits that are still not in the game today. Backers were supposed to have a head start that was reset with a rollback.
Also, the delay of the Steam release, which was originally planned for December 4, 2018, still lingers for some.
What about the performance of LoA? With new games in Early Access, performance is always closely scrutinized. This seems to not be a complete disaster for Legends of Aria, but users complain they cannot get beyond 15 or 20 FPS.

When does Cross-Save start for Destiny 2? Originally, Cross-Save was supposed to launch in the fall. However, Bungie has expedited this feature and finally announced a concrete launch date.
Guardians who switch to another platform or want to play on multiple platforms have been able to use Cross-Save since August 21.
What is Cross-Save and how does it work? With Cross-Save, it will soon be possible to share a save file across different platforms on which you play Destiny 2. The principle is simple:
You link your accounts with the Bungie account.
Next, you select a main account or save with the characters you want to play.
This progress/save will be shared and available on all other platforms on which you play Destiny 2.
This will finally make it possible to unify your adventures across multiple platforms. You will then carry your gear, weapons, and loot to other platforms. What you earn on one platform can be used everywhere – no matter where you play.
What you should note about Cross-Save: Free content like Destiny 2: New Light can be used across platforms through Cross-Save without hurdles.
However, paid content such as the Destiny 2 expansions Forsaken or Shadowkeep will also need to be purchased on a new or different platform – even if you already own them on another platform. This is the only way you can access the contents of the expansions there as well.
Cross-Save will save all your gear, your characters, and your items across all platforms – regardless of which expansion you own.
However, there is no way to merge accounts, silver (real money currency), characters, or progress from multiple accounts. The characters, items, triumphs, etc., correspond to your selected save. Characters from other saves cannot be used with everything that belongs to them as long as Cross-Save is active.
Additionally, Cross-Save should not be confused with Cross-Play. Players on Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One will not be able to play together. The player searches are still separated for the individual platforms.
