This is the killer “Demogorgon”: The Demogorgon will be the first distinctly non-human killer in Dead by Daylight. He is primarily the antagonist from the first season and responsible for many of the mysterious incidents in the series. Although his body resembles that of a humanoid, his head consists more of a kind of petal filled with numerous teeth, allowing him to devour his prey in one bite.
These are the survivors: This chapter brings two survivors, namely Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington. Both are main characters from the series and are still teenagers caught up in the mysterious incidents.
In the first season, Steve was a minor character, but he became so popular that he was made a main character in season 2 – much to the delight of the Dead by Daylight community. Many players are already saying they will become a “Steve main”.
No abilities or perks for either the killer or the survivors have been revealed so far.
Survivors look like the original: A new feature of the “Stranger Things” chapter is that the characters will apparently resemble the actors. Because at least in the trailer, Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington look exactly like the actors Natalia Dyer and Joe Keery. The reason for this could be that the rights holders of Stranger Things (Netflix) still have the two actors under contract for upcoming seasons.

When it comes to price gouging – what also bothers me is when people kick and scream that things are too expensive. Let’s assume the skins actually are too expensive – does that give people the right to kick us and call us ‘greedy pigs’?
I think a lot of things are too expensive, but I don’t yell at people because of that.”
According to Pineda, it’s okay to say “That thing is too expensive, I’m not buying it.”
But “That thing is too expensive, so fuck you, you greedy pigs” is not okay.
Developers speak plainly – and emotionally
This is what’s special: What stands out is that the developers speak on reddit in the same tone as the players.
Things are not “annoying and need to be changed” – rather, things are “fucked up.”
This brings an emotionality that is not accustomed in the exchange between players and developers. Respawn is considered a “different gaming studio” – apparently, they are currently also fostering a different communication culture outwardly. Here, it is not the community managers who speak, but the developers.
Whether this will remain or change again after the exciting weekend remains to be seen.

It was the longest Overwatch match ever played in the league – or perhaps not played at all.
In the Overwatch League, exciting matches frequently take place that remain interesting until the last second and are memorable for the fans. A chain of crashes and errors: Within the first 15 minutes of the pause, Overwatch had to be restarted multiple times on uNKOE’s computer, but it kept crashing. The casters tried to bridge the time by discussing past matches to keep the viewers entertained. When that no longer worked, there were three stream interruptions in a row and the repetition of some video clips.
After about half an hour, the problem seemed to be resolved, and the match was to be continued – but right after the starting shot, Overwatch crashed again.
The players were joking around: With so many delays, the players naturally joked around a bit. They posed sleeping in front of the camera or did other antics to keep the viewers entertained.

After almost an hour, all problems were finally resolved, and the match could continue. This is likely to go down as the longest match in Overwatch League history. At least so far.

The Beyond patch brought many innovations to the space game No Man’s Sky. Players are particularly excited about one and are eagerly sharing their screenshots on reddit.
But the secret highlight is the change to the chairs that players can now sit on since the patch. These chairs have been present in the space stations since the game’s release, but only now can they be used meaningfully.

What is special about the chairs? In fact, the chairs in No Man’s Sky work like in any other game. Players can use them to sit down.
But the NPCs also independently use the chairs, sitting down and getting up at their own discretion. A section in the patch notes for Beyond particularly amused players:

Volta League brings “FIFA Street” online seasons to FIFA 20
The Volta League offers: According to EA Sports, the Volta League is a mode similar to the online seasons of previous FIFA parts. In it, you can compete against other players online and rise to higher leagues with victories.
You can determine the match settings and the home playing field. There are no substitutions, no offsides, no injuries, no red or yellow cards, and no stamina.
EA Sports does not specify in detail what match settings you can make online. Presumably, you can determine the match type (3v3, 4v4, 5v5, and with or without goalkeeper).
A match against an opponent is supposed to proceed in such a way that you initially play with your set rules (game type, venue, field size) and then in the second leg play according to the opponent’s rules.
Progress in Volta
This is team management: Before each Volta match, you may determine your starting lineup. You must wisely choose the formation and players in advance, as there are no substitutions during a game.
This is how you improve the team: By recruiting better players, your team rating increases.
You can recruit new players by winning against other teams in Volta. Then you are allowed to choose a player from the opposing team and add a copy of them to your team. Recruited players are copies of players from opposing teams. In other words: If you lose a game and a player from you is recruited, you do not lose that player.
You can recruit a maximum of 9 players. If you want to recruit more, you must replace one player from your team with the new one.
You have a unique avatar that you can upgrade
This is what makes your avatar special: While the maximum 9 recruited players have fixed stats, your created avatar is a dynamic player.
By playing in all possible Volta matches with your avatar, its attributes grow. After each match, the avatar receives a rating based on match performance. If you play good passes, assist goals, or score goals yourself, the rating increases. If you make bad passes or poor tackles, the rating decreases.
A higher match rating leads to greater progress for your avatar. Depending on where your avatar is playing (as a striker, midfielder, or defender), certain attributes will increase faster or slower.

What else can the avatar do? Your own avatar has a skill tree that allows you to give it traits and thus personalize it.
By playing matches in any Volta modes, you can earn skill points to unlock additional attribute boosts or unique gameplay abilities.
The skill tree has 3 branches – one for traits that improve you as a striker, midfielder, or defender. But you can mix the skills freely.
If you complete certain skill tree paths, you unlock titles that you can use to decorate your avatar and showcase what you have achieved to the world.
This is the chemistry in Volta:FUT players know the importance of good team chemistry. In Volta, you also need to pay attention to team chemistry.
A higher chemistry grants all your players on the field attribute boosts. If you exhibit low chemistry, your opponent may have advantages on the field.

Today, on August 19th, the servers of Destiny 2 are down. Bungie is performing maintenance. You can find out how long the servers will be offline here.
These are the important times: Today, Monday, August 19th, Bungie is performing maintenance with downtime. This maintenance is surprising because usually developers announce server downtimes a few days in advance. But today, Bungie announced the maintenance quite last minute.
Maintenance begins at 6 PM. There may be initial disruptions in the game and the companion app.
At 6:45 PM, Destiny 2 will then go offline. If you are still playing, you will be roughly removed. The downtime affects PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Around 7:05 PM, the servers are expected to come back online.
By 7:30 PM, maintenance is scheduled to be completed. Until then, login issues may occur.
Keep in mind that the above time estimates are not set in stone. Bungie has shown in the past that they can bring the servers back online earlier or much later than communicated.
Cross-Save is a new feature launching on August 21st – that’s the day after tomorrow. With this, you can share your Destiny 2 save across multiple platforms and freely switch between PS4, Xbox One, or PC.
Here’s how it works:
You link your accounts with your Bungie account.
Then, you select a main account or save with the characters you wish to continue playing.
This progress/save will be shared and available on all other platforms where you play Destiny 2.
However, keep in mind that you need to own the game and expansions for each platform on which you want to play Destiny 2 to be able to play everywhere.
Cross-Save is a feature that many guardians have wanted for a long time. Many former console guardians have switched to PC to enjoy the full graphical splendor of the Destiny universe but left their friends behind who remained loyal to PS4 or Xbox One. Cross-Save removes a hurdle to switch flexibly between consoles or PC.
And tonight, Bungie is paving the way for a smooth launch of Cross-Save on Wednesday.
Cross-Save should not be confused with Cross-Play, which allows players on different platforms to play with and against each other.

Planetside 2 needs more players
How is the MMO shooter doing today? You only hear sporadically from Planetside 2, but the developers are still hard at work to develop new content and improve the gameplay.
According to the website, Planetside 2 had nearly 30,000 simultaneous active players at Steam launch in November 2012. Today, it’s only around 2,400 during peak times.
For a long time, the average player count on Steam was around 2000 – but this has gradually fallen and has been below 1500 for several months in 2019.
On average, around 1,470 players played the MMO shooter simultaneously in the past 30 days – however, these numbers only refer to Steam.
Planetside 2 still has its own launcher, and there is also a PS4 version. Nevertheless, it is clear that Planetside 2 needs more players as an MMO shooter.
Many on Steam love Planetside 2 – but demand changes
What do players say about Planetside 2? The reviews on Steam currently sit at 82 percent and “very positive”. However, you can also see that the ratings have dropped in the past 30 days. Because during this time, the shooter only received 65 percent.
It is criticized that the balancing is no longer right and that Planetside has turned into a “zerg fest”. In addition, spawn camping is said to be a problem, and newcomers have a hard time.
Many still consider Planetside 2 to be an excellent MMO shooter that the developers simply need to continue to optimize.

What are the developers planning for the future of the game? After the Robo-soldiers of the Nanite System, the focus is now mainly on improving the experience for newcomers to ensure a flow of new players. Some adjustments are planned:

When can we expect these changes? The developers have not yet provided a specific date. However, it is planned that this content will be introduced in the MMO shooter in the autumn.
The four new Hextech champions are currently shaking up the meta in Teamfight Tactics. They can be used in almost every combo. We’ll tell you what to watch out for when fighting against them.
Jinx particularly dominates the meta, but the other three are also welcome. Vi performs well in bruiser combos, and Jayce is a central piece in the shapeshifter combo.
A combination of two Hextechs can be found in almost every meta build. Accordingly, their special ability activates quite frequently.
What is the ability of the Hextech champions? Two or all four Hextechs throw a bomb at opponents at the start of a fight, disabling enemy items for 8 seconds.

Hextechs do not like gaps
What should I watch out for against Hextechs? Currently, you generally encounter only the combination of two Hextech champions. Therefore, you should first ensure that two champions with important items are not standing next to each other.
There is also the possibility of giving a champion a simple and less important item and placing him far away from the rest of the team. With a bit of luck, the bomb will land far away from your important fighters.
Yasuo is ideal for such a distant champion with just one item, as he doesn’t want to be near the team anyway. In general, it also helps to develop new strategies for positioning your team.
How do I position my team? During the times of assassins and ice creatures/rangers, heroes were collected in a big ball in one of the corners.
This avoided the problem of assassins suddenly jumping into the backline and simultaneously built a wall between your ranged fighters and the enemy champions.

General tips for positioning: There are various ideas and concepts for positioning the team. Gaps are currently desired, due to Hextech champions, but also due to AoE attacks.
Additionally, Blitzcrank is currently in vogue as a bruiser. Placing your carry all the way at the back is therefore tricky, as Blitzcrank will otherwise grab him. Unless you know exactly where the enemy Blitzcrank is located.
It is important that you keep an eye on your opponents, especially when some have already been eliminated.
An example of new positioning
In the fictional example, we know that the opponent always positions their Blitzcrank (from their perspective) far left. Therefore, they also attack our champion far down left at the edge of the image, to whom we should ideally give an unimportant item.
At the same time, our Lucian with many items stands somewhat isolated in the middle, while Vi and Garen tank the damage. This setup works well against Hextech and Blitzcrank but would have major problems with assassins that could easily take out our three carries.
What problems arise with positioning? In our example, we had a clear front and a clear backline. This made the setup easier.
However, with protectors like Braum and Leona, it becomes difficult, as many champions want to receive the bonus. The shapeshifters also require a completely different setup.
Therefore, the most important thing in positioning is keeping track of the other players and adjusting accordingly. In general, since the new patch, you should spread your champions with items apart.
On August 20, Vault 94 will open its doors in the online game Fallout 76. This is the raid and the first instance in the survival game. However, Bethesda reserves the right to take the raid offline immediately if there are problems.
What is Vault 94? The bunker is one of the many vaults built before the Great War. The mission of the inhabitants of Vault 94 was to replant the world after the nuclear war so that the survivors would have food. The inhabitants were a group of pacifists who wanted to spread their message of peace after the war.
Just one year after the bombs fell, the vault opened its doors, and missionaries were sent into the world to help the survivors. However, shortly thereafter, the G.E.C.K. fusion generator failed, leading to a massive explosion and the release of radioactivity. The vault became contaminated, and all inhabitants perished.
Now, however, the doors are opening again, as something is happening inside. Mysterious plants are growing around the vault, and you are now called upon to uncover the secrets of the bunker in Fallout 76.
Fallout 76 introduces instances
What can you expect in the vault? Bethesda is not revealing exact details yet, but Vault 94 is said to offer one of the biggest challenges yet. It is a raid that you will explore as a team of four. There are supposed to be valuable rewards, including plant armor.
Where is the bunker located? You will find Vault 94 between the Mire and the Savage Divide.
What is special about the vault? Vault 94 introduces the instance system in Fallout 76. Until now, you have always been adventuring in the world together with all the players on the server. This will change with Vault 94.
Once you enter the bunker, an instance opens up for your team of up to four players, where only you are present. This is similar to what you know from MMORPGs like The Elder Scrolls Online. You will experience the adventure in three difficulty levels: Beginner, Standard, and Expert, each promising different rewards.
What do the instances offer? Bethesda explains that this instancing system brings several advantages.

This restriction exists: The instancing system will initially be available only for PC starting August 20. Bethesda wants to use this as a test.

So do not be surprised if Vault 94 suddenly closes again and Bethesda needs to revise the content after launch.
Players expect plant monsters in the 1st raid of Fallout 76

Last weekend, the first official PvP tournament took place in Pokémon GO. The winner, Kieng Iv, is now calling for Niantic to provide more support there and for a competitive scene around Pokémon GO to form, a real e-sport.

What Kieng Iv wishes for Pokémon GO
