The first players in WoW Classic are craving for “new content”. But it is on the way and faster than expected. World bosses and the PvP system will arrive this year.
In World of Warcraft Classic, things are gradually becoming a bit calmer. Although there are still queues, the layering is slowly being removed. Now even the Game Director of World of Warcraft has revealed: Phase 2 of WoW Classic will start this year. This means “fresh” content in the coming months.
What exactly was said? In an interview with PCGamer, Hazzikostas talked about layering and when it should be completely abolished:
I think that is a matter of “later this year”, I believe we can definitely say that. [The exact point] Within this timeframe? It depends on several factors.
What factors are there? The most important point is the layering, which is still active on many realms. This technique basically creates multiple versions of a realm. As a result, not all players are bundled on one world and have more space for questing and farming resources. Gradually, these layers have been dismantled until realms have only “one layer” – they then become a normal server, as known from classic WoW (albeit with a higher capacity for players).
Why does the layering have to go? Layering needs to disappear so that all players are truly in “one world”. This is necessary for certain content, such as the world bosses. These should only exist once per server. The fight for the world bosses was an important part of Classic, especially on PvP servers. Often, players would battle for the world bosses here. If there were two layers, players could simply split up, avoid conflict, or even kill the boss multiple times.
What is included in “Phase 2” of WoW Classic? The second phase of WoW Classic brings some “new” content, such as world bosses, dungeons, and finally organized PvP. This includes:

World boss Lord Kazzak in the Blasted Lands
The dungeon Dire Maul with its 3 wings
Mages can learn to conjure water (Rank 7) there
Warriors and paladins can complete the quest for the epic sword Quel’Serrar

How good the boxes really are

After several weeks, it is finally here. In World of Warcraft Classic, the layering is slowly coming to an end.
Out of the blue, Blizzard released a message last night that surprised many players of WoW Classic. The layering has already been disabled on some realms. The players have apparently spread out and the crowd is steadily decreasing, resulting in a “more organized situation”.
What is layering? Through layering, there are multiple versions of the game world on a realm. Players are divided this way and do not have to fight over limited resources. Instead of 500 players in the Elwynn Forest, there are 100 players in 5 different versions of the forest. This was primarily designed to handle the influx at the start of Classic. Gradually, the layering should then be reduced and ultimately removed.
On which realms is layering disabled? So far, only European and American realms have been mentioned where layering has been disabled. On the German realms, this has not (yet) happened. The following realms from Europe will no longer have layers:
Bloodfang
Dragonfang
Earthshaker
Hydraxian Waterlords
Judgement
Ten Storms
Why is this important? Blizzard has stated that the “2nd phase” of WoW Classic, which involves the introduction of world bosses and the PvP system, can only occur when all realms forgo layering. Thus, the first step in this direction has been taken.
This is how the realm display will change: In a few days, there should also be an adjustment to the realm list. Players will then be able to see directly whether a realm still has multiple layers or not. If this is the case, a realm will no longer be displayed as “medium”, “high”, or “full”, but instead will have the status “Layered”. Realms that no longer use layers will revert to the old terms.

What is a raid in Destiny 2? Raids are an endgame activity in Destiny 2 for a group of 6 players. They are the most challenging group content in the game. Players must solve puzzles, master sophisticated mechanics, showcase their acrobatics skills, and defeat tough bosses. For this, they are rewarded with special loot.
Everything you need to know about the new Shadowkeep raid
When exactly does the new raid start? The new raid is called Garden of Salvation and opens its gates (or better said its Vex gate) for Guardians on Saturday, October 5th at 7:00 PM German time.
What is the Garden of Salvation about? Not much is known yet. The events in the raid are expected to represent a logical development of the Shadowkeep story. It involves the Black Garden, the birthplace of the Vex, who suddenly become active again.
What are the requirements for the new raid? First, you need the Shadowkeep expansion for Destiny 2. The new raid is part of this addon.
What power level your character should have for the raid has not been officially announced. However, Bungie has hinted that it is advisable to start the raid with a power level of 890. More details can be found in the next section.
What is special in the first 24 hours: As usual, the start of the raid marks the beginning of the so-called World First race. The best teams compete for the prestigious title of being the first to conquer the new raid.
During the first 24 hours, the competition mode will be active to ensure a fair World First race. Players will face a more difficult challenge during this time. Because beyond certain levels, your power level in the new raid will not provide an advantage in combat.
So having a power level above 890 in the first battle will not give you any advantages. In the final battle, you will enjoy no advantages from a power level of 920 onwards.
After the first 24 hours, the competition mode will be disabled. Afterwards, you can benefit from a higher power level in the raid.
Here are the rewards: In the new raid, there will be thematically inspired weapons and armor as rewards. A new exotic, the Divinity trace rifle, is also said to be available through the raid. However, the quest for it is not expected to start until October 29th.

Mike O’Brien has announced that he will leave ArenaNet, the company behind Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. As the founder and president, he held the highest position in the studio. His new project is already known – and he has some friends in tow.
What happened? Mike O’Brien co-founded the development studio ArenaNet with Jeff Strain and Patrick Wyatt in March 2000. On October 3, 2019, O’Brien announced that he would leave the company after nearly 20 years.
O’Brien was the last remaining founder of ArenaNet. The highest position in the studio will now be taken by Mike Zadorojny. He took on the role of Game Director for Guild Wars 2 with the release of Path of Fire. He is now stepping up a position.
What is O’Brien doing now? Shortly after the news of O’Brien’s departure, the first players had already discovered what he will be working on in the future.

What will happen with Guild Wars 2? The departure of O’Brien will not have any major impacts on Guild Wars 2, at least regarding content. The Icebrood Saga will continue as planned.
The departure of six developers from partially different areas is unlikely to affect the game, despite layoffs in February.
The interesting question is whether Mike Z. can and will change the overall structure of Guild Wars 2. After all, he now holds the scepter and wants to continue “the journey of the MMORPG” according to his own statement.
Update 4.10, 2:00 PM: It later became known that O’Brien had been working with a small team on a “Guild Wars” project. One source claims that this could have turned into a Guild Wars 3. More on this in our article.

Borderlands 3 receives another patch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Today, in the night from October 3rd to 4th, a hotfix is scheduled to go live. It also affects two of the Vault Hunters again. Apparently, the nerfs to Fl4k were a bit too harsh. We show you the patch notes for the new update.
What will be changed? In the new update for Borderlands 3, both the soldier Moze and the beastmaster FL4K will be adjusted again.

Update on Moze and FL4K – Patch Notes in Detail
What is changing for Moze? The soldier Moze will no longer be able to use her “Endless Grenades” build starting with the new update. Due to one of her abilities, it was possible for Moze to throw an endless amount of grenades without delay.
“Destructive Means” is a passive skill in the “Demolition Woman” skill tree, allowing Moze to receive ammunition and grenades with a chance when dealing indirect damage. This led to players with the right build consistently receiving grenades back.
The ability now has an inherent cooldown of two seconds. It can no longer be triggered indefinitely.
“Rakk Attack” now has a 100% chance to apply a status effect.
“Leave No Trace” now has an inherent cooldown of 2 seconds.
The stat bonus from “Berserker Roar” is increased by 100%.
Companions no longer push player characters around.
The option to pet your companion is no longer prioritized and should no longer obstruct players when looting.
Those who play our best FL4K build will hardly notice the changes. However, new opportunities for stronger builds may arise.
3 bosses are going to be softened
What else is changing? In addition to the Vault Hunters, the bosses Gigamind, Katagawa Ball, and Billy the Anointed are being adjusted. All will receive a nerf and will now have fewer hit points or shield regeneration.
This is meant to make them easier to defeat, as they were previously considered harder than intended by the developers.
On October 10, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will receive its first DLC. In addition to the monster Rajang, it is also expected to introduce a new region to the Guiding Lands.

With Season 3, Apex Legends has received a new map, which naturally also holds new secrets. However, the probably best secret of the map cannot be utilized yet.
What is this feature? It concerns the secret loot rooms that were seen as a brief preview in the gameplay trailer for Season 3 of Apex Legends. These contain a lot of high-quality loot that players can currently see through closed doors.
The team that can secure such a chamber has a good chance of winning the round – no matter whether they are already leading or need to catch up from far behind. Therefore, the chambers are one of the innovations that could drastically change Apex Legends.
How do you open such a treasure room? The doors to the rooms are locked and cannot be blown open or destroyed with the EMP of the new legend Crypto. You need a keycard to open them.
This card can be obtained from the new loot bots that are flying around on World’s End. The drones carry loot boxes that change colors, from blue to gold and finally to purple.
This indicates the loot contained if you shoot down the drone. If you snag a golden box, you get legendary loot (Tier 4) and with a bit of luck also one of the keycards. This then opens one of the three doors distributed across the map.

No Keycards – Countdown on the Doors
Why has no one opened the vaults yet? At the moment, there are no reports about what exactly can be found in these chambers. Apparently, no one has been able to enter them so far.
Players report that although they have shot down many of the loot bots, they have never received a keycard. However, a countdown is supposed to be displayed above the doors, counting down slowly.
When does the countdown end? The end time of the countdown has been set to October 9 at 7:00 PM German time. What exactly will happen then is still uncertain. Many players and fans suspect that from then on the keycards will become obtainable and the vaults can be opened.
In The Division 2, the expeditions caused some trouble with the last major Title Update 5. Now the PvE game mode is returning with a bit of delay for Title Update 6 and brings a new reward system. However, the mode will still not be available at all times.
What is going on with the expeditions? The PvE mode was only announced prominently for Title Update 5 and disappeared from the game after a few weeks. In the community stream “State of the Game” last Wednesday, October 2nd, the developers talked about the return of the expeditions on October 15th.
The expeditions are longer PvE missions that revolve around a storyline about a missing convoy. The setting is the “Kenly College”, a former university in The Division 2. The university consists of three sections, each with its own tasks and challenges.
In these missions, puzzles, timers, and elements are included that are supposed to present players with extraordinary tasks during the mission. Secret rooms can also be found in the winding corridors of the educational institution.
Mastery system not ready for TU5 launch
Why did the expeditions disappear again? The plan was for the “Kenly College” to be regularly available and to change the missions slightly from time to time. The “Mastery System” should reward exceptional performances.
Unfortunately, this “Mastery System” did not work at the launch of Title Update 5. The developers decided to let the expeditions run for a while and then remove them from the game until the reward system works properly.

And what exactly is the Mastery System? With the new reward program “Mastery System”, the replayability of the expeditions should be increased.
The three mission strands will be equipped with new difficulty levels and will distribute rewards, depending on how quickly the missions are completed.

The expeditions will not always be available
Here’s the catch: The expeditions are seen by the developers as a rotating activity. Massive wants to ensure that the missions are played from time to time. More expeditions may come to the cycle over time.
The first TU6 expedition will be available from October 15th for two weeks and will then enter a rotation. The university campus will be unavailable for two weeks, then back online for one week with new rewards and modifiers. After that, there will be another two-week break.
For some students, that sounds quite normal. How the new rotation will be received by the agents remains to be seen.
What else can I expect with the new update? The developers are restructuring several mechanics with the upcoming update and are bringing new content. The release is in mid-October – Whether Title Update 6 and the expeditions will be released together has not been explicitly stated.
However, the update will be released together with the free content DLC “Episode 2” and will be described by Massive as the largest expansion of the game so far. In the community stream “State of the Game” next week, on October 9th, the developers want to reveal more details about the content of the upcoming DLC.

In Ghost Recon Breakpoint, a large part of the game can be skipped by going straight to the end of the story and defeating the final boss. However, this is a tough task and is hardly achievable for most players.
How do you approach the final boss so quickly? In Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you face the former Ghost Cole D. Walker. He kills your teammates, who were once his friends, in the tutorial.
Your task is to eliminate Walker. He doesn’t even hide from you. The mission is available from the start. However, it’s actually too difficult to complete directly – unless you’re really good.

The battles against the officers and their entourage can be a bit tougher, but headshots take out most enemies instantly. The blueprints from the shop could make it easier for you.
However, since the enemies are superior to you at this point, they can detect you more easily and raise the alarm.
All of this makes the way to Walker a true challenge. If you handle it skillfully, you’ll soon discover that Walker is located at Howard Airfield in Sinking Country.
Underleveled and having fun
This is how tough Walker is: The fortress itself is actually designed for players with an item level of 150. It is teeming with enemies that you must take out one by one. If you’re lacking the equipment, you must proceed carefully because an alarm certainly means death.
Walker should be somewhere here.
After a while, you will discover in the fortress that Walker is located in the large building right in the center. However, you can only enter if you destroy a Behemoth drone that is guarding it.
The drone is probably the biggest challenge, as it is one of the “bullet sponge” enemies. You will need a lot of skill and, ideally, several teammates to take it down, especially if you are under-equipped for this task.
Afterward, the way to Walker is clear, and you can take him out.
Finish Breakpoint even faster – with a glitch
