What are these missions? The season has been extended. With the challenges available from Tuesday, October 8th, 3:00 PM until Sunday, October 13th, 8:00 PM, you can unlock styles for three battle pass skins, experience points, and a loading screen.

Unvaulted: The stone pistol has been unvaulted. You can aim at opponents with it and receive a strong recoil. It is also well-suited for trick shots.

New weapon: The Thumper is soon available in the weekly shop. A sound hammer that teaches your enemies the rhythm. The hammer is slammed onto the ground and sends out a series of sound pulses. These deal damage to your opponents and knock them back.
The Thumper will be available from Thursday, October 3rd, 2:00 AM until Thursday, October 10th, 2:00 AM in the weekly shop.
How was the launch? At the release on October 1st, there were several issues. Players reported that they were unable to connect to the server. After the loading screen, it just wouldn’t go any further.
Furthermore, despite the appropriate announcement, it is not possible to play with a controller.
How did the developers respond? Activision addressed the issues and stated that they were working on a hotfix for the connection problem. This followed promptly and improved the situation. However, there are still reports of connection problems. They are not as severe as at launch.
Regarding the lack of controller support, Activision explained that it is still in the testing phase and therefore this control method cannot be selected in all countries. Further details on controller support are expected to follow later.
Players Love CoD Mobile
How does Call of Duty Mobile perform? Right after launch, the free-to-play mobile game climbed to number 1 among free iOS apps in 33 countries, and in 30 other regions, the title landed in the top 5.
Currently, the shooter also ranks 59th in the U.S. iPhone charts for games generating the most revenue. That’s a respectable entry.
What do players think of the mobile shooter? Even though there was significant frustration initially due to the connection problem, Call of Duty Mobile is very well received.
The ratings in the Google Play Store are 4.7 out of 5 stars
In Apple’s App Store, the shooter achieves 4.2 out of 5 stars
Graphics, sound, and gameplay are praised. Players feel that CoD Mobile truly plays and feels like Call of Duty.
The remaining connection issues and prices in the in-game store are still criticized.
If you own the new Season Pass for Destiny 2, it grants you a brand new exotic weapon right at the start of Season 8 and Shadowkeep. This is how you obtain Eriana’s Vow.
The weapon in question is: Eriana’s Vow is an exotic Solar hand cannon for the energy slot. What makes it special is that it requires energy ammunition as the first hand cannon ever.
The fire rate of 90 and the fully packed damage stat are new for this weapon class.

However, the weapon is not available automatically. You need to actively claim the new piece from the Season Pass.
To access the rewards overview of the Season Pass, open your Navigator and select the new season tab on the far right. The first package in the bottom row contains Eriana’s Vow. You need to select it and then accept the reward.

It has now become known that Electronic Arts (EA) has acquired a patent. It describes a method where in-game purchases in video games become worse if the buyer hesitates too long. Then the good offer is no longer available. The patent was acquired in February 2018 – this was after the shitstorm around microtransactions in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
What is this patent about? The patent is called “Systems and methods for making offers within a game that decrease in value based on prior acceptance of the offers.” (via patents.google.com)
It’s about the idea of making a player a “First Offer.” This has the “best value.” However, if enough other people accept this “First Offer,” then it’s gone and the new offer is worth less.
The offer is supposed to be presented in such a way that the player can interact with it in the game and/or sees how others interact with it. You can practically see how others snap up the offer while you hesitate.

The basic idea is that there is only a limited “supply” of the best offers. Once that is gone, the offer becomes worse: the value of the purchased content decreases or the price increases. However, the potential buyer can see how many of the “best offers” are still available. This creates psychological pressure.
The idea is to get players to accept first offers as quickly as possible by creating an incentive for it.
Originally developed for mobile Facebook games
Where does the patent come from? The patent was originally filed in November 2014. The inventors are four individuals. At that time, they were apparently working for the mobile gaming company “Kabam.” This is indicated by the LinkedIn profiles of two of the mentioned inventors.
Kabam was known between 2009 and 2016 for distributing “Facebook games” and mobile games that often relied on such microtransactions. These systems are called “freemium.”
You can play them for free, but have “premium” advantages if you invest money.
For example, in Marvel Future Fight, certain microtransactions unlocked additional price tiers that each buyer received retroactively when milestones in purchases were reached.
That’s why it’s delicate: Such an offer that becomes worse over time and expires is meant to create apparent buying pressure and push the player towards something they might not rationally do. It compresses the time to consider the purchase.
Such practices are generally seen as “evil”.
The astonishing thing is that the patent was acquired by EA on February 28, 2018, just after they had their scandal with microtransactions.
However, there have been statements from EA in similar cases that they did not use such patents. It is stated that there is no influence on matchmaking or match outcomes in the FIFA series – although many players accuse EA of precisely that under the umbrella term “momentum”.
If EA were to actually deploy such methods, it would surely cause a stir. Especially since the political climate regarding loot boxes has changed and is currently changing.
Overwatch fans can expect to get some really cool skins inspired by WoW characters soon. But Tyrande and Illidan won’t come cheap.

Fans are divided: Looking at the comments on Reddit, however, the fans are not only excited. Most players praise the fact that the skins look extremely good and are very detailed. Blizzard has outdone itself in creating extremely cool renditions of Tyrande and Illidan.

Day of Dragons lets you take on the role of a dragon and try to survive in a massive world. The concept is so well-received by players that the Kickstarter campaign was a resounding success.
What is Day of Dragons? It is an online survival game where you travel as a dragon. However, you can also play as an elemental being. It is necessary to survive by searching for food and water and gradually becoming larger and more powerful. For example, you learn to spit fire or acid.
You explore a vast open game world consisting of deserts, swamps, grasslands, forests, lava landscapes, and caves. In this world, you are accompanied by other players.

In Astellia, there have been recent discussions about new editions of the MMORPG. The developers have now responded to player feedback and are compensating pre-order customers.
What was discussed? With the release of Astellia on September 29, new versions of the game were introduced, which replace the pre-order packages and are somewhat cheaper.
However, these contain almost the same items as the more expensive packages prior to the release. Some players were upset about this, and we took a closer look at the packages.

Yesterday marked the launch of Shadowkeep and the free-to-play version New Light, kicking off the 3rd year of Destiny 2. However, the launch was overshadowed by massive server issues. Error codes like Beaver and Weasel and long queues were the result for many. Bungie even had to take the servers down for emergency maintenance again. How is it looking today? Can you finally (again)play normally?
But while some players entered the game without problems or after just a few minutes in the queue, many others faced a constant “Destiny 2 is currently busy” message. In addition, there were connection issues (Destiny servers are being contacted) as well as often the notorious error codes like Beaver and Weasel.
In short: While some Guardians were already gaming without problems, many others found themselves only briefly or not even in the game hours after the launch. What was supposed to be the long-awaited start to year 3 turned out to be nothing for many.
This is why the emergency maintenance occurred: Shortly after 10 PM, many players were ended up in the login screen and could not get past the queue. Bungie initially started investigating the problem. Around midnight, the Destiny servers then went completely offline for emergency maintenance.
Can you finally (again) play now? Around 2 AM, things started to slowly improve – even though there were still increasing instances of error codes and disconnects. By 3 AM, the emergency maintenance was finally over. Since then, the situation has apparently improved significantly. Since early this morning, there have been hardly any reports of connection or server issues.
If you want to play Destiny 2 now or later after work, you shouldn’t run into these problems anymore. Currently, it seems that everything is working as it should. However, we will keep an eye on the situation. If there are any further issues, you will find out here on MeinMMO.

Raid hour this evening – Everything you need to know
When does the event start? The raid hour starts this evening at 6 PM. On all arenas that do not host another raid, a legendary egg will hatch. You will then be able to battle Giratina for an hour.
How to defeat Giratina? The legendary Pokémon has many weaknesses. Types such as Ice, Dark, Ghost, Dragon, and Fairy are effective against Giratina. The best counters are Rayquaza and Palkia.

In FIFA 20, there is a trick to quickly earn the loyalty bonus in Ultimate Team without risking defeats. We will show you how.
The loyalty glitch has been in FIFA for several years and can still be applied. The process has hardly changed.
What is loyalty in FUT? Many FUT beginners surely wonder at the beginning of their FUT career why some players have a maximum chemistry of 9 while others receive the full 10.
This is due to loyalty. If a player is “loyal”, they receive one extra chemistry point, reaching the full 10 chemistry points, which can make them play a little bit better.
How do you get loyalty? There are two ways to gain loyalty for a FUT card:
If the card was drawn from a pack, it is automatically “loyal”
If you played 10 matches with the card, you have earned the loyalty
What do you need loyalty for? In some Squad Building Challenges, “loyal” players are a requirement; in others, you have to rely on the loyalty bonus to reach the required team chemistry.
This is how the loyalty trick works
What does the glitch bring? The trick saves you a lot of time. If you have several players who lack loyalty, it can be quite time-intensive to complete the 10 matches to receive the bonus. This can easily take a few hours.
The glitch helps with this. Applying it takes only a fraction of the 10 matches. And the best part: It does not ruin your player statistics or coin multiplier. So there is no risk of getting 10 defeats or earning fewer coins after FUT matches due to an increased disconnect rate.
This is what you need to do:
You choose a team from the Squad Battles that you can challenge more than once
Start the match and play for at least 10 seconds
Pause the game and press the PlayStation button or the Home button on Xbox. On PlayStation, go to “Settings” and navigate to “Network”. Disable “Connect to the Internet” and re-enable it. On Xbox, it’s a bit simpler, just test the NAT type.
Return to the game. There you will see that you have lost connection to the EA servers. When the connection is restored, you will find that the players have one more match counted. However, the loss due to the disconnect was not counted.
Repeat this until your players have the loyalty bonus after 10 matches. This trick takes a total of 20-30 minutes, but is significantly faster than playing all 10 matches in full.
However, keep in mind: Contracts are consumed. You must supply the players with contracts, as they only come with 7 by default.
