Epic has gone to court and sued a 14-year-old who used and promoted cheats for Fortnite . The boy was brazen and continued to cheat despite the lawsuit. Epic has now reached a settlement with him.
What was the case about? A 14-year-old boy proved to be a tough nut for Fortnite developer Epic. The boy uploaded videos to YouTube under the name CBV. In these videos, he played Fortnite, cheated, and promoted these cheats.
Normally, it suffices for Epic to have such cheating videos blocked on YouTube and to ban the Fortnite accounts of the cheater. But with this boy, the usual countermeasures fell flat.
The 14-year-old showed no intention of stopping cheating.
Young cheater says: Fuck Epic, I have a good lawyer
This is how the boy reacted to the lawsuit: Even when Epic was already suing him, CBV did not stop cheating and started a stream showing cheats. Epic cited this in the lawsuit as a reason for the legal action.
