Spectacular kills are the order of the day in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but now a player shows a completely new way to destroy a drone: namely with a supply drop.
Here’s what it’s about: The personal radar is one of the numerous killstreaks in Modern Warfare. You can deploy it to the sky and then spot your opponents. However, these opponents can also shoot down the drone with the radar, and that is exactly what was shown in the clip.
Normally, this can be easily done with the rocket launcher, but it can also be done in a more spectacular way, as the reddit user “DwightKurtShoot” shows.
Check out the crazy drone kill here
This is the clip: The video was shared on reddit and has received over 11,000 upvotes:
In the video, the player pulls out his rocket launcher and aims at the opponent’s drone. At the moment he fires, a supply drop descends in front of him.
He hits it with the rocket and catapults it towards the drone. The drone is hit and explodes.
This is what is being discussed: The clip also faces criticism. If you take a closer look at the clip, details stand out. Some viewers say that the box didn’t hit the drone at all.
In fact, you can see the box continue to fly after the explosion. It could simply have been hit in addition and the rocket could have destroyed the drone on its own. So whether the box actually hit is not entirely clear. However, the clip is spectacular nonetheless. After all, the rocket still had an effect even after hitting a box.
This is what makes the clip special: This clip is certainly not suitable for replication because you need perfect timing here. You have to fire exactly at the moment when a supply drop falls between you and the opposing drone. After all, it only has a fall duration of a few seconds and must also be deployed at the right moment.
Are there similar clips? There is another clip on reddit showing that you can jump on the supply drop’s drone and fly up with it. The player in the clip even gets a kill because he can see over all the buildings.
In Destiny 2, Divinity is currently the best support weapon. However, many players are apparently not using the weapon optimally. We show you a trick to make the raid exotic even better.
This weapon is about: Divinity is the current raid exotic from the ‘Garden of Salvation’. The trace rifle requires special ammunition and deals arc damage.
In the space MMO Elite Dangerous, a community event is currently taking place where players are tasked with saving the generation ship. What exactly happens to this ship and its inhabitants lies in the hands of the players.
What is the generation ship? On November 5, the game’s developers released a statement from the fictional Rockforth Corporation, which apologized for pathogens and the destruction of many crops. This statement was followed by a notice that a distress signal was to be investigated.
This is exactly what the Twitch streamer “malic_vr” did and came across the generation ship Golconda. This ship, unlike the 15 other ships of this kind in Elite Dangerous, is inhabited.
As of today, November 18, the event is in its second phase, and players are deciding how the civilization aboard the ship should proceed.
Resource deliveries for the Empire or Federation
What can players do? Until November 26, players can choose to support either the Empire or the Federation, two NPC factions, with supplies. The faction that can showcase more supplies will win.
The plans for the future of the Golconda differ slightly:
The Empire wants to help the civilization with their original plan and establish a colony on a planet.
The Federation, on the other hand, appreciates the special status of the civilization and wants to assist them with a space station.
After the event ends, there will also be special rewards: All players will receive more rank points from December 5 to December 16, as well as a discount on the ships of the respective faction.
What happens next? As for the future of the Golconda, much likely depends on the event. However, it is quite possible that players will continue to interact with the civilization in the future. Perhaps a new story will develop from this that unfolds gradually.
Torchlight Frontiers, the ambitious successor to Torchlight 2, was originally scheduled for release in 2019. The release window has now been officially postponed.
What is Torchlight Frontiers? Torchlight Frontiers is a new hack and slash game in the Torchlight series. The third installment is being extensively tested because the hack and slash is supposed to incorporate many MMORPG aspects, including persistent worlds and housing.
Unlike its two predecessors, which were full-priced games, Torchlight Frontiers will be free-to-play and is expected to be supported with new updates over a longer period.
At ExileCon, PCGamer spoke with Max Schaefer, the founder of Echtra Games. He confirmed that a release in 2019 will not happen, but he could not provide a new timeframe:
We haven’t updated the date yet, which we probably should. But we don’t really have concrete things to say. We’re currently making some changes to the game, which is kind of hard to describe.
We don’t have any new information to share. That’s why we’ve been waiting. But it’s obvious that we won’t be able to manage a release [2019]. However, we are making progress with the game, and it’s getting better day by day. And we’re really excited about it.
How can you track the progress of the game? Those who want to closely follow the development of Torchlight Frontiers can track the roadmap on a Trello board. It lists what is currently being worked on and what has already been completed.
In addition to a playable version, there are already many contents that have been improved and released in recent months. A release in 2020, therefore before Diablo 4 and also before the new Path of Exile 2 seems very likely.
With the Maliwan Takedown, a new content update for Borderlands 3 is on the way. It’s the perfect time to jump back into the game.
When does it start? The Maliwan Takedown update will be rolled out on Thursday, November 21. It’s expected to be implemented overnight like the previous updates.
Maliwan Takedown will not be a limited-time event like Bloody Harvest. The new Maliwan base and everything that comes with it will remain permanently available.
Maliwan Takedown starts this week
Maliwan Takedown brings new content – with tanks?
What will be included in the update? Primarily, the update will introduce a new Maliwan base that you need to take down. The special feature: The base is designed as a challenge for teams of level-50 players. Maliwan Takedown is explicitly aimed at players who have already completed the game and are looking for new challenges.
There will definitely be new loot to collect. Strong shields have been announced, along with new enemy types, a new boss – and possibly a new vehicle.
In the background, you can see previously unknown vehicles Source: Reddit
An older promotional image for Borderlands 3 shows a vehicle resembling a kind of tank. So far, this type of vehicle hasn’t been found, but the design resembles that of the manufacturers Atlas and Maliwan. On reddit, some players speculate that the tanks will either come with the Takedown or the first major DLC. It seems like it will be a wait and see situation.
A new challenge
That’s why Takedown comes at the right time: Many players have long completed the story, and the endgame challenges have been thoroughly explored over time. Bloody Harvest was a good bite that provided players with new tasks. However, the quest around Captain Haunt was completed quickly – at least the hunt for rare event loot offered long-term engagement.
Wotan the Invulnerable will keep you engaged for a while
The base in Maliwan Takedown itself won’t take too many play hours, but it will entice with plenty of collectibles. Most importantly, the update provides the motivation to continue optimizing your character – after all, the base is supposed to be really challenging. To succeed here, you will need good builds and strong weapons. Those who are not well-prepared may find new motivation through the event.
In Fortnite, dataminers have found hints of a skin that could be related to Epic Games’ new game, Battle Breakers. We show you what rewards there might be if a crossover between the two games were to happen.
What kind of skin is this? Dataminers found hints of a Fortnite skin that looks like a heroine from Battle Breakers. They found data on the outfit “Razor” and its corresponding back accessory “Cloudpuff”. The dataminer HYPEX posted the found items on Twitter.
This is what the found cosmetics look like:

Is the “Razor Skin” for Save the World or Battle Royale?
In which game mode will the skin be available? The code “T-Icon-Hero-Razor” was found in the data. This suggests a hero and these are only available in Save the World.
The back accessory, however, has no indications for Save the World and could therefore also appear in Battle Royale. Now it remains to be seen whether the skin will be available in both modes or only limited to one.

Phil Spencer is Microsoft’s head of Gaming on Xbox One and PC. He was asked why the Xbox is lagging behind in streaming. Google Stadia is planning to launch in just a few days – the Xbox service Project xCloud is still in the testing phase.
Google’s streaming service, Stadia, will start on November 19 with 22 games
Xbox’s project, “Project xCloud”, is still in a public testing phase
The question to Spencer was: Are we falling behind Google and will we have to catch up laboriously?
It will take years for streaming to become mainstream
This is what Spencer says: Spencer believes streaming has given people in other industries the opportunity to stay connected with their media wherever they go. As with music or videos. He sees this coming for gaming in the future – but that future is still far away.
“In my opinion, we are all in a testing phase. We are still in a very early stage of the new technology. It will take many years before the technology becomes mainstream.
The best place to play will remain the local device in your home for years: the console, the Xbox, connected to your TV. The same goes for the gaming PC. […]”
Phil Spencer
Spencer says this statement will remain true for years: The device designed specifically for gaming, the computing power at home, he sees as the first choice.
There you won’t have to struggle with internet difficulties either.
Gaming will remain as it is for now
This is what’s behind it: Spencer says streaming is coming, but it will take time. He wants to work with users on Project xCloud to develop their own streaming service. He doesn’t see a reason to rush.
In this, Spencer likely speaks to the heart of many gamers who still want to play on “strong hardware” at home here in the West.
In WoW Classic there is world PvP, but players’ criticism is growing. Somehow the same feeling as back then just doesn’t set in. There are several reasons for this.
For several days now, everything in World of Warcraft Classic revolves around PvP in the open world. But for some players, this came as a rude awakening. Because the open world PvP apparently does not match the lovely memories that many players collected about 15 years ago. It is increasingly heard that PvP is currently not fun and a cry is rising: “Give us battlegrounds already!”
Players demand battlegrounds: Just after a few days, voices in the WoW Classic subreddit were raised demanding that Blizzard should release the battlegrounds of Phase 3 earlier. This would offer a more interesting, balanced PvP experience. There is a post wishing that PvP battlegrounds should be unlocked by Christmas. That would be a great gift. The Redditor mykkenny admits, “Some things really weren’t that great” and receives a lot of support in the form of upvotes.
“World PvP is really boring”: A post on Reddit describes the situation quite drastically and shows how far memories from back then and the actual game can be apart. So writes Warborri:
I had nice memories of Tarren’s Mill against Southshore in Vanilla. But damn, it’s actually so boring, just two big groups spamming AOE, when a melee fighter falls out of the line he’s dead in 3 seconds.
The other part of world PvP are gank squads that roam around and kill solo players everywhere, what fun that is.
If you try a 1vs1, then five others attack you immediately.
I don’t regret starting on a PvP server, but it’s just boring right now. I hope they release the battlegrounds soon.
Below level 60 you are prey: The honor system has also led to players between level 50 and 60 now being only prey and best of all completing their last levels entirely in dungeons. On all PvP servers, there are small “kill squads” that roam around in groups of 3-5 players to kill players of somewhat lower levels. This still grants honor and in many cases even more than participating in a mass battle between 200 people. After all, the honor earned is divided among the participants. Even these players long for battlegrounds so they can finally level up again.
Why is it so bad right now? That the world PvP is not as fun for many players as it was back then has several reasons that can be read again and again in the comments. It is often read:
The realms are too full, there are many more players per realm than back then.
Back then, PvP developed organically and on its own. Today, there are many “min-maxers” who just want to collect honor as efficiently as possible.
Most players have more knowledge than back then. The knowledge about the best way to farm leads players to roam the world in “kill squads” and even kill characters of lower level.
Many players are currently very dissatisfied and are highly critical of WoW Classic and the PvP system. This dampens the ongoing hype for Classic.
But what do you think about PvP in the open world? Is it exactly how you remember it back then? Or is the “organic” missing and everything is now only focused on perfection?
Ethan Richards set out to explore every solar system in the galaxy in the space MMO EVE Online. He achieved this and even made it into the Guinness Book of Records. But as he now recounts, players from the community wanted to sabotage him.
Who is Ethan Richards? He plays Katia Sae in EVE Online and wanted to achieve a very special goal with this character: He set out to visit every solar system in the game, write a blog, and take a screenshot of each system.
What does he say now? He was recently asked about this achievement and explained that it was anything but easy to reach his goal. This was due to a part of the EVE community.
What was the problem? About five years into his mission, he had visited all the systems in high- and low-sec space. Now a journey into null-sec territory was on the agenda. There, open PvP reigns without protection.
The community had already become aware of his mission and had noticed that he had not lost a single ship in all those years. Therefore, a part of the community now set out to sabotage Ethan Richards’ mission. The null-sec space was perfectly suited for this.
How did the players want to stop him? There were hunts for him, and they tried to ambush him repeatedly. For this reason, Ethan Richards kept postponing his blog entries. This way, the players could not guess where he would travel next. Furthermore, he did not want to draw more ire by complaining about attacks in the blog.
A bounty was even placed on him. And players told him that they would now know exactly when he would die.

How close was he to being caught? There was a situation where Ethan Richards was stuck in a solar system because other players had blocked the only jump gate out. He did not want to lose his ship under any circumstances but still needed to make a breakthrough. For this, he waited for the right moment. With a lot of patience and courage, he finally managed to jump out of the system and continue his journey.
Were there more challenges to follow? After Ethan Richards had mastered null-sec space, he wanted to visit the systems in the wormhole area. This area is extremely dangerous because there are no jump gates. The systems are connected by unstable wormholes that constantly disappear.
However, he mastered this challenge with the help of the Signal Cartel and a trick. The Cartel organized a fake event to map the wormholes. Ethan Richards then used these maps for his mission. The fake event served to obscure the fact that Ethan Richards was operating in that area. Because he feared that a Cartel spy might betray his position, causing others to attack him.
Daigo Umehara (38) is considered one of the best players of Street Fighter overall. He shares a story about a defining moment at the age of 13 that would change his life.
Who is he? Daigo Umehara started playing in arcades at around 10 years old. In 1991, “Street Fighter II: The World Warrior” had just been released in arcades.
As a teenager, he participated in Street Fighter tournaments and made a name for himself. His career took him around the world. In Japan, Daigo is now almost legendary.
He was the first professional eSports player in Japan. The Wikipedia list of his tournament achievements spans over 23 years and consists of several pages. He is undoubtedly a legendary player of Fighting Games.
In Street Fighter, Daigo preferred Ryu for many years, but switched to Guile in 2017 with Street Fighter V.
A 13-Year-Old Beaten by an Adult
Why was he beaten? Daigo recounts a defining experience as a teenager. When he was 13 years old, he often went to an arcade to play fighting games.
One day he played several matches against an adult who was over 20 years old and defeated him repeatedly. The man became increasingly angry.
Suddenly, the man came up to the 13-year-old and punched him in the face. Umehara slipped out of the chair, but the man continued. He took him outside and beat him up outside the arcade.
In the end, Umehara’s face was full of blood and swollen.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK3-rJ_5zoE
This is how Umehara dealt with the incident: Umehara decided not to make a big deal out of it. He didn’t talk to anyone about it and simply went to another arcade.
But he was unhappy with himself. Playing in the new arcade wasn’t fun for him. He was frustrated about being so passive and taking the beating. The anger over himself kept him awake at night. He decided to make a change.
Umehara vividly recounts how he returned to that arcade. It wasn’t a “proud reclaiming,” but he struggled with himself to open the door. He felt hesitant and fearful.
Umehara had to overcome himself and convince himself to return to the place where he had received such a beating.
In the end, however, the thought of chickening out and riding his bike home was worse than the fear of encountering the man again. Umehara opened the door and saw that the man was not there. He never encountered him again.
But the decision to open the arcade door left a mark on him. This way he was able to forgive himself again.
Umehara says in the end: “If I hadn’t gone through the door back then, I wouldn’t be where I am today.” There are feelings that one has to overcome as a professional player; otherwise, you give up first when resistance comes and things don’t go as desired.
Umehara states: If he had gone home back then, he would have become the type of person who gives up.
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, resourceful players have discovered a small Easter egg related to DrDisrespect. However, this seems to be quite difficult to obtain.
What was found? The Twitch streamer DrDisrespect is a well-known name for fans of the CoD series. After all, he has streamed many installments and entertains his viewers.
Infinity Ward has also noticed this, and in the latest CoD installment, Modern Warfare, there is even a small reference to DrDisrespect. You can find a business card related to the streamer.
Check out the business card of DrDisrespect here
This is the business card: On reddit , the player “hardestyxx” shares a picture of the business card he received. It shows a person with a mustache, black hair, and sunglasses. This looks very similar to DrDisrespect, who wears a similar outfit in his streams.
The business card in Modern Warfare. Source: reddit
Additionally, the name of the business card is “Two Time”, just like the streamer’s nickname. DrDisrespect has this nickname because he has won the Blockbuster Video Game Championships two times.
How do you get the business card? For this, you need a lot of luck. As it seems, you can only obtain the card as a loot reward. So you need to receive the right reward to be able to show off this business card.
Season 19 starts in Diablo 3 this week. Blizzard is bringing some adjustments in update 2.6.7a based on community feedback. Particularly, Barbarians are excited.
What is this update about? A few days ago, Blizzard announced the details for the start of Season 19 in Diablo 3. Shortly after, community manager Nevalistis published a post in the forum addressing another update. This brings changes that will take effect right at the start of S19.
The update is called 2.6.7a, which is an adjustment of the already existing new patch 2.6.7. With the update, a few balance issues will be addressed so that there are fewer problems in the new season.
The initial input of Lamentation in patch 2.6.7 on the PTR was too strong, say the developers. By completely removing the bonus, it was too harsh on the Whirlwind/Butchery Barbarian. After reading “tons of feedback,” the D3 team made this compromise.
Originally, the damage of Butchery was increased by 150-200% on the PTR. Then, the item was completely removed and didn’t make it into the live version 2.6.7, much to the annoyance of the Barbarians.
The bonus from this item is now stackable up to a limit of 20
The developers explain that Crusaders became incredibly strong due to patch 2.6.7. They look forward to Crusaders performing better with their new set, but this cap on stacks should bring the damage down to a more reasonable level.
These bugs have been fixed: In the new monk set “Patterns of Justice,” there was a bug where the counterwind rune of Tempest Rush was not applied when Tempest Rush was interrupted. The problem has only been partially fixed. There is still the bug on consoles, which is expected to be removed in a future update.
For the Fjord Cutter, a problem was fixed where the weapon increased all damage on slowed or frozen targets instead of just the damage of Seismic Slam.
The fist weapon Won Khim Lau caused Epiphany to trigger a teleport while Tempest Rush (with Electric Charge) was being channeled.
Community manager Nevalistis writes that they still need to work on the Rathma Necromancer, the Bazooka Wizard, and the general performance of the Demon Hunter. No updates can be released yet, but they are sifting through the feedback and experimenting with potential solutions.
In the future, they also want to extend the testing times on the PTR so that new set items can be thoroughly tested.
What players say about the changes
Why is this important? In the Diablo 3 community, players are really happy about the communication between the D3 team and the fans.
On Reddit, a player writes, “I LOVE this new era of high-quality communication in the community. Thanks Nevalistis, you are amazing!”
Especially Barbarian players feel understood here. While the planned change with the removal of the Butchery bonus hit them surprisingly hard, they are looking forward to the new compromise.
“On behalf of the Barbarians: Thank you,” writes user voinbobar on Reddit.
“I have to be honest here. I was looking forward to the Butchery change for WW Barbarians. And when they removed it again, I lost interest. Now, I imagine the ‘Opening the gate a little’ meme often,” writes player Infernalism. Another Reddit user then made this meme for him.
Version 3.9.0 “Conquerors of the Atlas“ is the next and last major update of this year for the action role-playing game Path of Exile. This update brings a rather complex endgame in which you essentially fight against yourselves.
What is Conquerors of the Atlas? The next major update 3.9.0 for Path of Exile is set to be released later this year and primarily focuses on the endgame. The story revolves around the Exiles, who have now become a threat to the world after the war for the Atlas. The actual challenge awaits you in the new league.

With the Shadowkeep expansion for Destiny 2, new Strikes entered the game, but new exclusive Nightfall loot is nowhere to be found in their Nightfall version, much to the dismay of many fans. Bungie has now explained why.
What is the deal with the Nightfall-exclusive loot?Nightfall-specific rewards or Nightfall-exclusive loot are special rewards that can be obtained with a bit of luck in the more challenging Nightfall versions of Strikes.
These exclusive rewards are supposed to provide players with an added incentive to tackle Nightfall Strikes. Most bosses have a rare item in their loot pool that can only drop in that specific Nightfall Strike. These include weapons or cosmetic items like Ghosts, ships, or Sparrows.
However, players are still waiting for armor pieces as they had in Destiny 1 – these are unfortunately not available in Destiny 2.
Popular and only available in Nightfall: The Pursuit of the Mindbender
This is precisely what many Guardians are demanding: With Shadowkeep, new Strikes have been introduced, which can also be played as Nightfall. But special rewards are lacking there. Many find this disappointing, and some fans are even annoyed about it.
In a popular thread on Reddit with over 7,400 upvotes and more than 1,100 comments, fans are now demanding that Bungie introduce these special rewards for the new Strikes as well.
Now just stopping this in Shadowkeep without saying a word about whether or when they might come to the game is a big mistake. The new Strikes are good and fun, but as a regular Nightfall, there is hardly any reason to run them.
Completely missing in Destiny 2: Strike-specific armor pieces
Why no new Nightfall-exclusive loot came with Shadowkeep
Bungie has now commented on the matter – specifically, Community Manager dmg04. He started another discussion on this topic in the popular Reddit post.
Destiny 2 apparently wanted to reward Guardians differently in Shadowkeep – not with an exclusive weapon or cosmetics.
This is how Destiny 2 rewards you instead: To explain the current situation, dmg04 elaborated and recounted how the rewards have evolved since the launch of Destiny 2.
Also only exclusively available through the Nightfall – the Inclination Igniter
In Year 1, the general feedback was that Nightfall Strikes did not feel rewarding enough. Subsequently, exclusive rewards, emblems, and points were introduced. Players then stated that the weapons were cool, but the cosmetic rewards like Ghosts or ships were less appealing. With Forsaken, some weapons with random rolls were added to address this criticism.
At the end of his statement, the Community Manager asked: “Do you feel that it (the new approach) isn’t as rewarding as a single weapon?” The developers are therefore open to further feedback.
Bloodrunner: Many would have liked this in Nightfall, but it’s only available in the Eververse
Guardians stated that while this grind is great, they would still wish for, for example, a themed armor piece from a boss – something cool that you can’t get anywhere else. Furthermore, the criticism points more towards the regular Nightfall Strikes, where there are no special rewards, and not towards Nightfall: the Ordeal.
Why not both? One fan then wanted to know what prevents Bungie from simply offering both: The farming opportunity from the Ordeal and an exclusive item.
Dmg04 also commented on this. It was stated: “Time, resources, etc.” One would then be faced with the decision – do you make a weapon for the Nightfall, which is already becoming a masterwork-/Exotic grind, or do you design a unique weapon for the raid instead?
This is not always a direct one-to-one comparison, but the example helps illustrate the situation.
The rewards in Ordeal
Bungie would not have the option to design unique weapons for every single activity with every release. The studio must therefore prioritize when it comes to creating available rewards for an activity.
Have the Nightfall rewards ended up in the Eververse? In this context, the discussion expanded to the Eververse. The community is not pleased with this argument. It creates the impression that Bungie has indeed designed exclusive rewards. However, they then put them into the Eververse, the in-game shop of Destiny 2, instead of incorporating them into the game. And as long as players feel that the Eververse is pulling such content out of the game into the shop, they won’t really be happy.
This refers, for example, to the exotic Sparrow Bloodrunner in the Crimson Fortress design or the Harpy shell for the Ghost in Vex style. Both items would thematically fit perfectly as exclusive loot for the new Strikes, but are only available through the Eververse.
Also only available through the Eververse and not in Nightfall: The Harpy Shell
Dmg04 has also addressed this. He emphasized that he has already heard this feedback. But he wants to clarify that he did not remove these rewards from activities to then put them in the Eververse.
The goal was to design the entire season and Shadowkeep so that they feel cohesive – even with Vex and Crimson Fortress-inspired items in the Eververse. However, they have reviewed the feedback and now understand how it led to the impression that they removed items from activities and didn’t design them specifically for sale.
There will always be a factor in development that Eververse items feel connected to the Destiny universe. However, Bungie could improve on ensuring that these items don’t feel too much like in-game rewards associated with certain activities or gameplay.
What do you think? Are the new Ordeal Nightfalls with their farming opportunities for materials (and Exotics) enough of a reward? Or would you also prefer/additionally an exclusive Strike weapon or armor piece?
In League of Legends , Fnatic is one of the largest and best LoL teams in Europe. However, the 6-time championship coach Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool is now leaving the organization. What he says in his farewell gives Fnatic fans cause for concern. According to him, there are internal problems in the team that are hindering success.
Who is leaving? The Dutchman Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool (28) has been a LoL pro since Season 1. He has been working as a coach since 2015.
As a coach, he has been with the 2 dominant teams in Europe. From 2015 to 2017 at G2 Esports. From 2018 until recently at Fnatic. YoungBuck is also known as the “6-Star-General”.
He led G2 Esports to 4 national titles in a row and then won twice with Fnatic. He has won 6 championships and is considered an outstanding coach.

Overall, YoungBuck views the year as bad, as they finished behind G2 Esports twice in the league. He cites “internal problems” as the reason.
Coach switches from No. 2 to the bottom of the table
This is so strange now: The coach is now moving from a top team in Europe to Excel Esports. They were the bottom team in the last season.
YoungBuck criticizes the players of Fnatic on his way to the new team.
2019 much worse atmosphere at Fnatic than 2018
This is what the coach says: In a phone interview with “Esportmaniacos“, the coach says:
“I no longer found fulfillment in the job. In 2018, the players were still very open and wanted to learn. It was a good atmosphere, we had fun and spent a lot of time together, even outside of the games.
In 2019, a small group of players no longer really cared about training as a team and did not put in the effort. They stopped talking during training, neither giving feedback nor wanting to receive feedback from their teammates.”
In an interview with Red Bull , the coach says: Different philosophies clash regarding whether players should invest more effort in “Solo Queue” or in team training. There have been a lot of problems, players did not want to play with each other.
Fnatic now needs to make some changes to create a “healthy team atmosphere.”
This is Rekkles, after the defeat.
The search for a scapegoat
What happens now? On Reddit and social media, there is already lively discussion about who is “the rotten egg” at Fnatic.
There are some rumors and speculations following YoungBuck’s statements about what is wrong with the team.
eSports journalist Thorin believes it is related to superstar ADC Martin “Rekkles” Larsson. He suggests that he has also driven away midlaner Caps.

On reddit , Fnatic fans believe the “SoloQ” friend referred to by YoungBuck is midlaner Nemesis. He joined the team in 2019 after Caps moved to G2 Esports.
Some Reddit users criticize YoungBuck for airing “dirty laundry” in public.
In any case, the departure of the coach seems to be causing unrest in the team. The players of G2 Esports handle the defeat differently:
David Brevik, as well as Erich and Max Schaefer, were co-founders of Blizzard North and developed the first Diablo. In an interview, they explain that today’s Blizzard has little in common with the game studio of yore.
Who are David Brevik, as well as Erich and Max Schaefer? Founded in 1991 by Michael Morhaime, Frank Pearce, and Allen Adham, the game studio Blizzard split into two companies in 1993. Under the company name Condor, David Brevik, Erich Schaefer, and Max Schaefer developed an action role-playing game called Diablo. In 1995, the studio was renamed Blizzard North.
Thus, David Brevik, Erich Schaefer, and Max Schaefer are the founders of Blizzard North and developed the original Diablo.
Blizzard has completely changed
What did the developers say about Blizzard? In 2003, all three left Blizzard to pursue their own paths. At the ExileCon, they were asked about their opinions on Blizzard.
David Brevik was asked if it was difficult to watch a company he co-founded change more or less.
He replied, “Not ‘more or less.’ Blizzard has completely changed!”
Max Schaefer (Torchlight Frontiers) elaborated: “The old Blizzard is gone. When we quit, there were a total of 180 employees. Today there are thousands. The whole empire is different, and Activision had no influence. At that time, it was just Blizzard and then some anonymous corporate owner, Vivendi or whoever. That was it. And now Blizzard is a video game empire that has to satisfy shareholders and all these things.”
It used to be about the players
Was it really different back then? According to David Brevik, Erich Schaefer, and Max Schaefer, developers had to discuss with management how games should look even back then. However, it was not about satisfying shareholders but about developing a good concept for the players.
That is no longer the case, as Blizzard has become this huge company. “You can’t get so big and still remain as free as we were. One of the reasons we left Blizzard was to be more self-determined and not committed to a monstrous organization,” Max Schaefer said.
“We wouldn’t have survived Blizzard’s growth in any form if we had stayed there. It would have driven us crazy, because all we want to do is have a team and develop the games we want to make. That is possible in a small group, as Blizzard used to be. But it is not possible in the media conglomerate empire that currently exists.”
This was the incident that stirred emotions.
Blizzard underestimated the Hearthstone situation
What do the three think about the situation surrounding the Hearthstone player “Blitzchung”? According to Max Schaefer, Blizzard found itself in a no-win situation with Hearthstone. There simply was no way out that wouldn’t scratch the company’s image.
David Brevik agreed and also said that he considers it a conspiracy theory that Blizzard acted this way for China. Max Schaefer mentioned that Blizzard is simply driven by money and that finances determine actions more than anything else. Presumably, Blizzard did not anticipate how much this decision would impact.
According to David Brevik, Erich Schaefer, and Max Schaefer, Blizzard is simply not the game studio it used to be. Do you agree?
In Pokémon GO there is stress about spawn points again. Niantic has changed something there that has disappointed many players.
This is what the spawn points look like: The issue of spawn points has come up often lately. A few weeks ago, Niantic completely changed the spawn points and upset many players.
In the last few days, there have been some changes again. These initially brought joy, but after further changes, many players were disappointed again.
New spawn points gone again after a few days
This is what has happened now: Last Thursday, some players were able to celebrate: New spawn points were actually added. The changes were not huge, and some trainers may not have even noticed, but some fans suddenly had a spawn at home or at work.
However, the joy was short-lived. After just a few days, Niantic has already removed some of the new points again. The affected points seem to be only the new spawn points and none of the old ones.
The disappointment is huge, as players had new spawns for a few days and now they are suddenly gone again.
Why are these changes happening at all? No one really understands. Niantic wants to have a similar gameplay experience in all locations and accordingly adjusts the spawns.
No one understands why new spawn points have been removed again after just a few days. Possibly the points were added by mistake or Niantic thought that the spawns were too many.
What are fans saying? After the spawns were removed again, there are now negative voices regarding it. We have collected some from reddit :
Banbadle: “I finally had a spawn at home and they took it away. At least it was a few good days.”
max_mullen: “I seriously don’t understand why they are doing this. It doesn’t ruin the game and it makes it better for people, so why delete the new spawn points?”
elnordrecorda: “And they won’t even bother to explain why. It’s not like some of our areas had an excess of active spawn points anyway.”
Could there be more adjustments soon? One can certainly expect that. Niantic had already said about the recent changes that they are currently conducting tests and evaluations. If something doesn’t quite fit here, then we could soon expect more changes.
Last weekend, the big Gaming Expo G-Star took place in Korea. The Korean Game Awards 2019 were also presented. The big winner was a PC MMORPG, which is surprising given the other nominees.
Which PC MMORPG surprised? The big winner of the evening was Smilegate with their game Lost Ark. The Diablo MMORPG won six awards, including the Popular Game Award, which was based on a public vote.
Additionally, Lost Ark received the following awards:
Best Technology Award (Planning and Scenario)
Best Sound Award
Best Graphics Award
Best Character Design Award (Technical Basis)
Presidential Award
Smilegate also won the Best Next Generation Content award with a VR Dating Simulator.
Why are the many awards for Lost Ark surprising? At the Korean Game Awards, Mobile games dominated. There were only three nominees that were not developed for smartphones. Lost Ark was the only MMORPG among them.
What does the success mean for us? That Lost Ark is receiving a lot of positive feedback in Korea could speed up the process for a possible release in the West. When an MMORPG is successful, a release in other regions makes perfect sense.
According to MMOCulture, the developer Smilegate is already actively looking for new employees who can translate texts from Korean to English. It seems that some localization work is already underway.
Can you play Lost Ark now? You can now take a look at the game for yourself, as the open beta in Russia started in October. With some tricks, you can create an account, allowing you to test the new MMORPG from Korea even in Germany.
However, you will need a VPN, and the game is in Russian.
Even Black Desert creators received an award
Who are the other winners of the Korean Game Awards? Besides Smilegate and thus Lost Ark, there were also other well-known winners at the G-Star Awards.

In World of Warcraft, you can level up incredibly fast right now. You can go from level 110 to 120 in less than 3 hours.
During special events, you can level up much faster in World of Warcraft than you would normally. Currently, the celebrations for the 15th anniversary of World of Warcraft are taking place, which provide a real leveling boost. The last 10 levels, from level 110 to level 120, can be completed in under 3 hours. But it goes quickly at all other levels as well.
How is leveling best done currently? If you want to level quickly, especially in the range between level 110 and 120 (it can go fast in other areas too), you should sign up for the PvP battleground “Korrak’s Revenge”. This is a special version of the Alterac Valley, which is only available until January 2020. It is part of the celebrations for the 15th anniversary of World of Warcraft.
Why does it go so fast? In the anniversary version of the Alterac Valley, players receive not just experience points for completing the battleground, but also every minute. Every 60 seconds, players earn experience points, which amounts to 2% to 3.5%, depending on their gear. Additionally, there are XP for completing quests, eliminating towers, and of course winning the battleground.
What gear should you wear? To receive the maximum bonus, your character should be equipped completely in Legacy gear that scales up to the maximum level (120). Additionally, you should use the XP potion “Distillate of Ten Lands,” which can be purchased from the Eidgebunden (Horde) or the 7th Legion (Alliance). Combine that with the holiday package from your mailbox, and you should receive a bonus of around 75% XP.
But even without all these bonuses, farming XP in the Alterac Valley is worthwhile, as it goes rather fast.
