Guardians were caught off guard by the secret quest
The quest description mentions that through tremendous support, the lighthouse (eng. Lighthouse) will be reignited. This new beacon is intended to guide the guardians into a new age.
The lighthouse is located on the planet Mercury and was the ultimate PvP destination in Destiny 1 – a sort of exclusive social space for all who mastered the Trials. The mission title “Worthy” is also suggestive. Currently, it is assumed that the upcoming Season 10 will carry the same name.

Electronic Arts, EA, has released its figures for the last quarter of 2019 and discussed them. Once again, there is a lot of praise for the shooter Apex Legends, and Battlefield 6 is already receiving early accolades. Only the poor Anthem is almost completely ignored.
What kind of event is this? EA presented its financial report for the 3rd financial quarter of 2019, which is the quarter that ended on December 31, 2019. This is the quarter where the Christmas business is so important.

The big winner was “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order”, which was a hit. While “Battlefield V” flopped during the same period last year, Fallen Order exceeded expectations.

When could the events start? The Valentine’s Day event should logically start around February 14. The current Lunar New Year event runs until 10 PM on February 3. So there would be enough time between that date and Valentine’s Day to hold the Sinnoh event.
It could, therefore, be that the first half of February will be quite busy.

What else have dataminers found? In addition to the findings regarding the events, there were further discoveries about a new item. Dataminers have also found “Elite TMs”. The online RPG Phantasy Star Online 2 is finally coming to the West 7 years after its release. However, it was uncertain whether we could play it from Europe. Apparently, there are no plans for a region lock.

Why are so many looking forward to PSO 2? The “Phantasy Star” series has a long history. The first game was released in 1987 for the Sega Master System, then still as a single-player game.
In 2000, the first online version of the series was released, which received a successor in 2012 with Phantasy Star Online 2, which has been very successful in Japan.
In times when we hardly get new MMORPGs in the West or the new ones are often failures, players are looking forward to any innovation, even if it’s just a well-functioning game from 2012.
Moreover, the combat system is described as very action-packed and is praised by many. A good contrast to Final Fantasy XIV, which has a more classic and sluggish combat system.
However, one class has been thrilled for nearly two days, as its players have received many new options. We are talking about hunters, who can now tame several new species.
What has changed for hunters? In a hotfix, Blizzard has now made many animal species in World of Warcraft tamable for hunters. The new families that hunters can now acquire include:

While the boss and the Valentine’s Day event Crimson Week are predictable for players, there has been no official information regarding the Empyrean Foundation – at least until today. The developers have finally introduced this event officially in their “This Week at Bungie” blog.
How the Empyrean Foundation works
What is the Empyrean Foundation actually? It is a kind of community event, a large-scale in-game donation campaign.
Players need to build a kind of beacon (probably a lighthouse) that will serve as a foundation for things Bungie has planned for the next season.
Who can participate? All owners of Destiny 2 can participate in this event – regardless of optional additional content. This also includes players with the Free-to-Play version Destiny 2 New Light.
This is how it works: On February 4th, players will be asked by Saint-14 to participate in rebuilding the beacon/lighthouse. The focus of the event will be the Obelisk in the Tower. Make sure it is unlocked and ready to go, and start hoarding Fractaline.
The player community must then come together, with as many players contributing to the rebuilding as possible. The goal is to donate the material Polarized Fractaline at the Obelisk in the Tower. A single contribution to the Empyrean Foundation costs you 100 Fractaline.
The community event will have 7 levels. Each of these requires a progressively higher donated amount of Fractaline to advance to the next level. There will be a hologram at the Tower Obelisk that players can use to track the event’s progress in-game.

Are there rewards? Besides the fact that we are apparently aiming for something big, a supreme reward, Bungie has also explained that your contribution to the reconstruction will be recognized with special rewards.
For example, a contribution (100 Fractaline) at the Obelisk will provide 25% progress for each of your time-lost weapon bounties that are in your inventory at that time.
Your Tower Obelisk will generate Fractaline for you each week based on its resonance strength. You can increase its resonance strength by upgrading other Obelisks.
Players who donate more than 5,000 Fractaline before the end of Season 9 will receive a Triumph and a special emblem.

What we know from leaks about the event
What are we actually building in this event? If we believe recent data mining results, we are apparently working on rebuilding the lighthouse on Mercury and thus the return of the Trials of Osiris in the upcoming Season 10.
However, Bungie does not want to reveal too much officially yet. In the TWaB blog (so far only in English), the studio refrains from using the common term Lighthouse and instead uses the term Beacon.
Apex Legends has introduced the trailer for the upcoming Season 4. It features the new legend Revenant along with some potential abilities and his disturbing and somewhat sad story.
This is shown in the trailer: The new trailer for the upcoming Season 4 shows a young man taking on a contract murder after shaving. Apparently, the contract originates from Hammond Industries, the corporation that also supported the originally assumed legend Forge.
The target is introduced as a family man who is having dinner with his wife and daughter when Revenant breaks through a window and ruthlessly takes out bodyguards and guests. Revenant is presented as a robot, but apparently still possesses some human components made of flesh or a consciousness.
After the wife of the unknown victim confronts Revenant, she is also killed. The father manages to get his daughter to safety before Revenant catches him too. He asks who Revenant is, and Revenant simply replies, “Death,” before breaking his neck with one hand.
Revenant then looks into a reflection in a broken glass and sees himself as the blonde man from the beginning of the video. A memory shows him trying to shave as a robot, as seen in the intro. He becomes angry and shatters his reflection.

What can Revenant do? The video shows some abilities that Revenant could possess:
Climbing up walls
A robot arm that he can turn into a blade

What kind of error is this? Since 17:00, the number of reported disruptions around the Steam platform has been increasing. This is the connection error 503, which apparently surfaced earlier in the day.
What exactly lies behind the error is, however, unknown. We only know that not only Germany but also other parts of the world are facing this issue.
There is still no official statement from Valve on the matter. However, you can get updates from the unofficial service SteamStatus on Twitter, which regularly reports on the platform’s status.
Which services are affected? The error apparently mainly affects the store, the friends list, and the community hubs. This is also indicated by the website Steamstat.us.
It shows that on January 30 at 19:05, over 15 million users were online. The store and the web API caused issues. Both displayed HTTP Error 503.
Singleplayer games and even multiplayer games should continue to function, as long as the client starts for you. Only purchasing new games and using community content is currently restricted.
How long will the problem last? It is still unclear how long Steam will struggle with these issues. There are ongoing reports of improvements. At the same time, new users are also reporting issues.
Typically, such outages do not last long. We will inform you when everything is back to normal.
A new hotfix will be released for Borderlands 3 on the night of January 31, bringing an event and minor bug fixes. Along with the patch notes, a new mode has also been announced, which is set to become a permanent part of the game starting next week.

What does the new specialization do? The Firewall hands you a flamethrower and is suited for agents who like to work on the front lines. With high damage and a special shield, you can burn enemies out of their shoes at close range.
The specialization plays like a hybrid of tank and damage dealer. You can inflict massive damage in an area with the flamethrower or throw cluster grenades that explode in all directions. At the same time, you receive skills that allow you to survive up close to enemies.
What abilities does the Firewall come with? To strengthen this playstyle, the specialization offers talents that support fire damage and enhance armor regeneration.
Flamethrower – High damage at close range around 15 meters
Striker Shield – A variant of the ballistic shield that allows you to use the flamethrower. There’s also likely a buff for everyone standing behind the shield.
Cluster Grenade – This grenade bursts into several explosive parts and deals damage in a large area.
Your armor kits regenerate 200% armor and health over 10 seconds. During this time, you can take significant damage.
The secondary weapon, a small shotgun called Firestarter, makes enemies 50% more susceptible to the “Burning” status.
One ability increases the duration of the “Burning” status by 50%
Teammates within a radius of 10 meters receive 10% extra damage
If you lose all your armor, nearby enemies will catch fire due to the Armor Break.

Flamethrower for Frontline Fights
How is the specialization used? With the flamethrower, you are the melee fighter of the squad and always a few steps closer to the front than your comrades.
If a bigger threat comes too close, it gets a few rounds from the secondary shotgun in the ribs before you start the barbecue with the flamethrower. Your teammates will be protected behind you, and if they support you at the front, there is a 10% bonus damage.
A build for the flamethrower type needs a lot of armor and should be enhanced with other talents to support the fiery character. A good fit is the named assault rifle “Firestarter”, which is also one of the strongest assault rifles in the game.

Episode 3 arrives in February and is free for everyone
When does the Firewall come to the game? The release of Episode 3 / Title Update 7 is scheduled for February 2020, but the exact date has not yet been revealed. All buyers of The Division 2 will receive the content for free.

Additionally, the only drawback is slightly worse aim stability. This means that your sights will sway a bit more while standing still and aiming. This is hardly noticeable in combat. Therefore, the grip tape is an ideal attachment.
2. 1mW Laser
What kind of attachment is this? The 1mW laser is an attachment for the laser slot that increases your hipfire precision. It has no relevant drawbacks.
Why you should use it: The 1mW laser significantly helps you to fire better from the hip. This is extremely useful for most assault rifles, submachine guns, and even LMGs. Especially players using Run&Gun builds need a laser.
The 1mW laser is so strong because it is not visible to opponents. The other two lasers (tactical and 5mW) are visible, revealing your position and taking away the advantage in most situations.
3. Monolithic Suppressor
What kind of attachment is this? The monolithic suppressor is an attachment for the muzzle slot. It increases your effective range and muffles the sound of gunfire at the cost of aim down sights speed and aim stability while moving.
Why you should use it: With the monolithic suppressor, you gain a 7.5% increased range. For most weapons, this means you can kill at a greater distance with fewer shots.
Especially with assault rifles and LMGs, which are rapid-fire weapons with a naturally greater range, this is substantial. You should only compensate for the aim down sights speed. With submachine guns, it is only worthwhile to a limited extent, as the base range is generally lower.
Muffling the sound of gunfire is, however, a nice side effect. If you are mainly after this feature, you should still use the monolithic suppressor since it is the strongest suppressor. Learn more about suppressors and how they work here.
4. Steady Aim
What kind of attachment is this? Steady Aim is technically not an attachment but rather a perk or skill. Nevertheless, it takes up one of the five possible attachment slots (“Perk” slot) and increases your reload speed.
Why you should use it: Steady Aim helps you reload faster, which is fundamentally advantageous for any weapon. This way, you are not reliant on using the secondary weapon when you run out of ammo in a firefight.
Especially in combination with the perk “Looting” and weapons with smaller magazines, you have a significant advantage over other players with an aggressive playstyle. However, it is always good to be able to reload faster than your opponent in medium to long-range engagements.
5. Compensator and Muzzle Brake
What kind of attachments are these? The compensator and muzzle brake are both attachments for the muzzle slot. We have summarized them here because they are good for different weapons but generally do the same thing.
The disadvantages are identical for both attachments.
The compensator reduces horizontal recoil, while the muzzle brake reduces vertical sway. Which of the two attachments is stronger depends on the “spray pattern” of the weapon used.
Attachments you should avoid
These attachments you should not use: There are also some attachments we generally advise against. However, keep in mind: they are generally worse than others, but may be strong or important for specific weapons or setups.
Basically, we advise against them because you can use the slot better for another attachment that might be stronger than the ones mentioned.
Tactical Suppressor: It reduces your range and only muffles sounds. Too many drawbacks.
Fragile – Flatten and Wound: Both perks are not particularly useful since you aim at the chest anyway and either kill or get killed. The TTK in CoD is too low for them to be strong.
Quick Melee: It is unlikely you will frequently come into close combat with a weapon to warrant using a slot for it. Moreover, the attack is only a few frames faster.
Bipod: Essentially a good attachment, but not strong enough compared to other under-barrel attachments. It only works while crouching or lying down, not while standing.
Tactical and 5mW Laser: As mentioned above, these two reveal your position. Only useful if you are constantly running and the laser points down to the ground right before firing.

A Twitch streamer for Halo apparently faked his own suicide in order to gain money and attention. However, the scam was uncovered by his cousin and his organization. He is now seeking professional help.
Who is it about? The streamer Chris “Ozarts” Harris primarily played Halo in his Twitch livestreams and occasionally Fortnite. He had an average of 6 viewers over the last 90 days (according to Sullygnomes).
He also collaborated with EasternMediaGG, an organization for streamers and professional branding.
What happened? Ozarts faked his own suicide using social media. On January 27, he shared a post on TwitLonger and ended it with the words: “This will be my last message on Earth. I love you all. Stay as incredible as you are.”
On January 28 at 3 AM, the Twitter account HooverJMac announced that the streamer had shot himself and was now in the hospital.
He also started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for Ozarts. Some donations between $10 and $200 were actually received.
However, another Twitter account named Sam Miller contradicted this statement and reported that Ozarts was doing well.
So there were two completely contradictory statements. It was later revealed that Sam Miller was right: Ozarts was doing well.
Zimm, the owner and CEO of EasternMediaGG, later shared in a statement that all actions, including the Twitter account that reported the suicide, were staged by Ozarts.

What is this task about? A part of the new “Cameo vs. Chic” missions challenges your fishing skills. In this task, you need to visit the three different lakes and ponds to catch a fish with your fishing rod at each one.
We will show you here the locations for the Zapple Pond, Lake Canoe, and Lazy Lake. At these spots, you should cast your fishing rod into the water and hopefully reel in a fish.
Zapplerteich Location
Where you should fish: Northeast of Holly Hedges, you will find the small Zapple Pond in the middle of the landscape. The pond is not large, and there is a little house nearby. At grid field C5, you can set up your fishing rod by the pond and try to catch a fish.
Lazy Lake
Where you should fish: In the south of the Fortnite map, you will find the large Lazy Lake. Directly north of Misty Meadows and southwest of Lazy Lake village.
