For 14 years, there has been silence about StarCraft: Ghost. Now, suddenly, there are screenshots and moving images from the unreleased game by Blizzard.

How does it work? Until now, only a few content creators could play Hunter’s Arena: Legends in a closed alpha in October. They then published sponsored videos about it on YouTube.
The game utilized a trio mode during the alpha. Players were grouped into teams of 3. They explored a vast map, like in a battle royale game, which shrank over time. On this map, 60 players fought to see who would be the last one standing.
The gameplay of Hunter’s Arena Legends resembles an action MMORPG like Black Desert. Players fight against NPCs or bosses, collect items, level up, and unlock new, predetermined skills.
Ultimately, it boils down to fights with other players. As in a battle royale or Highlander, there can be only one.

Hunter’s Arena Legends offers various characters to choose from, each with passive skills, attacks, active skills, and a super skill. Among the characters is a panda, which we showcase in the cover image because we at MeinMMO know what’s appropriate.
What else is known? According to the Steam description, the terrain in Hunter’s Arena Legends will play a role: Players will be able to jump from heights to execute special attacks on other players.
If Hunter’s Arena Legends can truly compress MMORPG content into 30 minutes, that would be a good thing.
Whether Hunter’s Arena Legends will indeed be as interesting as the first trailers promise remains to be seen. One should probably expect that the game will be somewhat unpolished in the beginning, as it comes from a Korean indie studio.

When can everyone play it? It starts next week. The Closed Beta begins on Thursday, February 20th on Steam and ends on February 23rd.

What does this have to do with the Trials? The found text is a slightly modified version of the original description of the Lighthouse (eng. Lighthouse). This lighthouse was the goal to be reached in the Trials of Osiris.

The time-traveling Warlock Osiris is the namesake of the Trials of Osiris.

Adam “Killa” Sloss, a former professional Call of Duty player, has highlighted the abuse of the drug Adderall in a conversation. He claims that many of his colleagues in the eSports scene of first-person shooters are addicted to it.
What is it about? “Killa” was a successful CoD professional and had many achievements. However, in 2019 he retired from the eSports business. In a conversation with the Washington Post, he has now spoken about the drug Adderall and its abuse in eSports.
What is Adderall? The medication is actually prescribed to patients with ADHD. It works similarly to Ritalin. Adderall is intended to enhance concentration and performance.
In eSports, it is allegedly used by professionals to be able to play longer. The Fortnite professional MellowMajik told the Washington Post: “Usually, I’m exhausted, tired, and lose motivation after a few hours. With Adderall, I can play better for up to 12 hours than ever before.”

Timo “Taimou” Kettunen mentioned that “around 20 players” in the Overwatch League rely on the drug.
Jimmy “HighDistortion” Moreno says that “the Gears of War community has over half of its players using it.”
In a YouTube video, Kory “Semphis” Friesen confessed that he and his team took Adderall in a Counter-Strike tournament.
How is the league responding to it? After Semphis and his team admitted to the abuse in a Counter-Strike tournament, the CSGO league took action against the use of Adderall. There are now drug tests before tournaments. They do not want to see Adderall at tournaments anymore.
The Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) admitted that the incident in Counter-Strike was not an isolated case. Other eSports-related games do not conduct such tests.
Does Adderall really make players that strong? Not all professionals are convinced of the effectiveness of Adderall. The Counter-Strike player Emma “Emy” Choe believes that Adderall does not automatically lead to huge success.
She believes that one may even incur disadvantages with the drug: “You focus too much on one aspect of the game and forget other crucial factors like communication.”
The Fortnite professional MellowMajik emphasizes the drug’s effect, but also adds: “The drug can only have a limited effect on your gameplay… it is not some magic pill that makes you outstanding in a game right away. You still need the skills to compete.”
The Washington Post also cites the physician Maria St. Pierre. She warns:
Physically, Adderall acts similarly to taking speed or meth.

Infinity Ward does not announce anything significant for next week
This speaks against the theory: CoD MW has published a blog post about what will happen next week. There is no mention of battle royale or any hint of it. The talk is about 1v1 on the map Rust and double weapon XP.
How credible is the leaker? TheGamingRevolution is probably the most well-known leaker for CoD MW. He has been very active in recent weeks.
Recently, he seems to have caught the attention of Activision Blizzard as he has gone overboard with the “leaks”:

and he received copyright strikes on YouTube videos
So he is certainly not an unknown person leaking information. But one can never be completely sure about leaks, even if they come from “known” leakers.

What’s behind this: One can actually assume that Infinity Ward will signal something on social media beforehand when the battle royale mode starts. Why it might be advantageous for the mode to suddenly appear on a Tuesday evening is unclear.

This is how you get the legendary weapons: Both weapons are not obtainable from bosses or as world drops. They are only available as a one-time event reward. This means: You should make good use of the week if you don’t want to miss them.
You get both weapons by shooting event hearts. You need to break 50 hearts for the Polyaimorous and 100 for the Wedding Invitation. After that, you can simply collect them through the ECHO menu.
Both weapons always come at maximum level 53. So you can unlock them even if you are not at max level yet, but you will have to wait until you reach the new level cap. The last time Fortnite was in 1st place was in August 2019. Then Fortnite had an average of 120,000 viewers.
In July 2018, at its peak, there were even 204,000.
What could be the reason?
Season 1 Chapter 2 started in October 2019 and will end on February 20, 2020. After 4 months, it is the longest season that has ever existed in Fortnite.
At the start, players received a new map. But many items and weapons were removed. Fortnite was reset to its early days in 2017 when it was still a simple game.

In China, downloads in the app store increased by 27.5% compared to the previous year and revenue increased by 12.1%.
After “Honor of Kings”, China is crazy – for us it’s called “Arena of Valor” and is a sort of Mobile League of Legends.

In 2019, the most successful game there was PUBG with 31.7 million viewer hours during the holidays
In 2020, the most successful game is Honor of Kings with 62.8 million viewer hours. The interest in PUBG and LoL has also risen dramatically.
Overall, the viewing hours for almost every top game in China have roughly doubled.

Could Steam also boom because of the virus?
This is noteworthy: In recent days, Steam reported new record numbers of concurrent users, even though no major new game has been released: 18.8 million users were active at the same time.
