The system was so good that Battle Royale competitor Fortnite quickly adopted it. The shooter Borderlands 3 also orients itself to this system for loot pinging. It really seems to be good enough that big shooters want to adopt it.
The system immensely facilitates playing with others, especially if one does not want to use voice chat for various reasons.
This is the change: In Rainbow Six: Siege, it is currently only possible to deliver a ping without context. The yellow marker does not say much, except that there is something apparently important for the player.
With the upcoming Ping 2.0 system, this is set to improve. It has already been shown that players will receive a contextual gadget ping, with which they can ping a single gadget permanently. This has been learned by PCGamer in an interview with game designer Jean-Baptiste Halle.

How fast must the internet connection be?
Google Stadia is a cloud gaming service that requires a stable and fast internet connection:
If you want to use Google Stadia, you need at least 10 Mbps. This allows you to achieve a resolution of 720p.
For Full HD, you need at least 20 Mbps; Google even recommends a minimum bandwidth of 25 Mbps if you want to play smoothly in 1080p and 60fps.
For 4K resolution, you need at least 30 Mbps or more.
Using negative latency, Google aims to counteract input lag and latency in cloud gaming. Google calculates potential latency with this trick and tries to mitigate possible lags.

Are there exclusive games for Stadia?
Google has now also announced a number of exclusive titles or is already offering them. These include, among others:
Id Software states that the game should be further improved. They also promise new features, like the invasion mode, and Doom 64 should be released on all platforms.
Google Stadia and Destiny 2
Destiny 2 free on Stadia: Destiny 2 is free for all Stadia Pro subscribers. This includes all content that has been released so far: the base game, the Forsaken expansion, the next expansion Shadowkeep, and all DLCs that have been released in between.
Players can transfer their characters from Xbox One and PC to Stadia. However, crossplay between Steam, PlayStation, Xbox One, and Google Stadia is not possible.

Google Stadia does not offer crossplay. It has its own standalone system where you play with other Stadia players. In Destiny 2, for example, you can transfer your characters to Google Stadia.
As Gamestar notes, Borderlands 3 on Google Stadia is an outdated version (external link). This makes it particularly problematic to transfer save games from one platform to another; this same problem also applies to crossplay.

Currently, external platforms like Steam, Origin, or Battlenet are not supported.
The reason is simple: If you want to play a game via Google Stadia, you either have to purchase the Stadia Pro subscription or buy the game through Stadia. You also cannot play Xbox games on PlayStation that you purchased in the Xbox Store.

Who is Google Stadia suitable for?
Mac Users: Google Stadia could be especially interesting for Mac users. Many Mac devices are equipped with weak graphics cards and the number of available games is very limited. Stadia offers completely new possibilities here.
Users with weak hardware: If you don’t own powerful hardware but still want to play current titles, Google Stadia could simplify your gaming experience.
For example, if you only game at home with a notebook, you can easily stream games using Google Stadia through your browser or transmit them to your TV via Chromecast Ultra. The prerequisite is that you have a stable, fast internet connection, as you stream the game through Google’s servers.
If you have both a weak computer and a slow internet connection, Google Stadia offers no benefits.
Early Adopters/Enthusiasts: The Premier Edition offers enthusiasts the opportunity to be part of the launch with an extensive package. The Google Stadia Controller is particularly interesting here.
Console Players: If you own a console and have an Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Now subscription, Google Stadia is less interesting for you.
However, if you want to be independent of your console and play anywhere, then take a look at Google Stadia. The advantage is clear: for around ten euros a month, you can always use up-to-date hardware without needing to buy a new console every few years.
Alternatively, you could wait for the new Nex-Gen console from Sony: Sony has announced that cloud gaming and streaming will be important for the next generation. The catch: the new generation is expected to cost over €500.

Do I need a Stadia Controller, can I use my old Chromecast, and are there alternatives? Below we want to clarify some basic things.

What is the Stadia Controller? A Stadia Controller is already included in the Premier Edition for €129. The controller costs €69 separately and is available in Colors Clearly White, Just Black, and Wasabi. The Night Blue color was only available with the Founder’s Edition and is now sold out. The Premiere Edition offers the controller in Clearly White.
This is what the controller offers: The controller features two analog sticks, four buttons, and four shoulder buttons. Gyro sensors are not included. The battery life is said to be similar to the competition. If you want to use the Stadia Controller wirelessly, you will need a Chromecast Ultra at the start of Google Stadia.

What is the difference from Stadia? A similar idea lies behind GeForce Now: You stream games via a server and do not need high-end hardware. For GeForce Now, however, you need your own Steam, Uplay, or Origin account and must link it with the Nvidia service.
However, GeForce Now must also support your game for you to use it through GeForce Now.
That’s why GeForce Now is interesting: You stream your own purchased games and do not buy games like with Google Stadia. If you have a large library on Steam or other platforms, then GeForce Now might be more interesting for you.
Shadow – Differences from Stadia
Shadow is also a cloud provider. With Shadow, you stream not just individual games but a complete PC, on which you can also use other programs.
What is the difference from Stadia? The cloud service Shadow also offers a cloud service like Google Stadia. In contrast to Stadia, you stream a complete PC, on which you can also use Steam, Origin, and co. using other software such as rendering programs is also possible.

Today a new patch goes live in Borderlands 3. This time it includes only minor hotfixes – but a really annoying bug is being fixed.
When is the patch coming? The small update is supposed to go live on all platforms by 9:00 PM. As usual, you will recognize it by the sign “Hotfixes Applied” that should appear in the background of your main menu when you stay there for a few seconds.
This is what’s in the new patch: The new patch does not bring any previously unknown features, but focuses on a few bug fixes. The probably most important one concerns the boss “Fabricator” from the Moxxi DLC.
The Fabricator can drop the quite powerful “ION CANNON”. However, the term “drop” in the sense of “dropping” was not always correct here. Because time and again the boss would fire its loot directly off the map after the fight, where it could no longer be retrieved. This bug has now been fixed. Additionally, there are other corrections:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare introduced a completely new mode to the game with NVG Reinforcement. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer and which tactics lead to victory.
What kind of mode is this? The new mode “NVG Reinforcement” combines a few classic game modes with a military night walk. This works quite well and is especially fun in a team. The mode was introduced with the last playlist update and brings fresh air into the multiplayer shooter.
In this form, this match type has never existed in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, so here is a brief introduction with tips for winning the Season-2 mode.
NVG Reinforcement takes place deep in the night and provides an extra challenge.
A nighttime mixture of Cyber Attack and Domination
Which modes are combined here? The rules are similar to Cyber Attack. You only have one life but can be revived. Instead of planting bombs, you have to capture flags, like in Domination. And instead of directly reviving your teammates, you can only bring them back when your team captures a flag.
Another peculiarity is the number of players. The mode is a 4vs4 and with only 8 players, significantly fewer are involved than in most other public modes, which are 6vs6.
The “NVG” stands for “night-vision goggles” and means “night vision goggles”. The entire mode takes place in the dark and gives the mission an extra kick.
How can you win? The team that can win 4 matches wins the round. You can win the match in three ways:
Eliminate all opponents
Hold the most flags when the time runs out
Capture all flags
However, there is one exception. If an opponent is currently on a flag while your team captures the 3rd and last flag, you do not win immediately, but the enemy can still capture the flag and secure the game.
Watch out for the corners! Every death can be the last one for this round.
Flag management as the key to victory
How to win best? The fastest and most common way to victory is by eliminating opponents. However, this can sometimes become quite challenging, as the enemies can revive their entire team when a flag is captured.
This means you sometimes have to secure 3 flags with only 4 players. Even if just one opponent is sneaking around the map, it’s no easy task. However, with a few tactics, you can gain a significant advantage:
Prepare a night vision loadout – For the small night shift, you should avoid scopes and lasers. Many scopes do not work, and even the small lasers can give you away. Silencers work better.
Let your flag rest – Capture your own flag only when someone from your team has fallen. This way you can refill your squad immediately.
Tactic for B – Start full speed ahead and go to B with three players. If the attack fails, capture your flag and try again. If you then capture B, your team will be refilled once again.
Play carefully – When the initial rush is over, slow down. The modes with only one life play out a little differently. Use the aggressiveness of the opponents to get your aim on them faster when they charge at you.
Split up but stay together – Communicate and coordinate, but stay just far enough apart that you can still see each other. If one player goes down, they remain in play and can help a bit through spectator mode.
Plan A or C – Many teams leave their own flag unattended when rushing to B. You could place a teammate near the enemy point and then capture the flag at the right moment to fully replenish your team.
In a team, the mode really shines, and you need very few other players. Modes with 4-player teams are, by the way, an optimal preparation for the squad combat in the upcoming Battle Royale of Modern Warfare “Warzone”.

5 Things I Wish I Knew About Wolcen
There are 2 slots for gloves and shoulders: At first glance, it seems a bit strange, but in Wolcen, there isn’t “a pair of gloves”, but two separate gloves – the same goes for shoulders.
Anyone who only equips their gloves with a right-click, as they know from Diablo 3, will miss out on one slot. If you click on the glove in your inventory and press Shift, you will see the second slot.
One glove slot is simply empty here. You need to equip a second.
You can buy and upgrade skills: The right vendor in Stormfall, the “town” of Wolcen, is responsible for skills. Here, you can level up skills by spending a resource you get when you find and redeem “duplicate skills”.
You can modify every skill and should press “S” regularly. This probably becomes apparent quickly when you press “S”. However, the system needs an explanation:
Because each skill has points that you can distribute into these runes.
Over time, you gain more points and more options on which skills to invest those points.
Therefore, you should keep pressing “S” regularly and see if you can deactivate old runes and activate new ones that have been unlocked.
The small number on the rune represents the costs. If you deactivate 2 1-cost runes, you can activate one that costs 2.
You can carry two healing potions. In Diablo 3, you have one slot for a healing potion, but in Wolcen there’s nothing stopping you from carrying two healing potions. They are on different timers. This can save lives – especially your own.
There is an “Oh Shit” button that makes you glow yellow. After the first act, a special form of the hero is unlocked, which comes with special abilities. You transform into this hero by pressing the “R” key.
A small look at the interface: 2 healing potions. 4 “green points”, you can dodge 4 times. In the middle is the scale for the “r” transformation.
These are certainly not mind-blowing secrets, and a Wolcen veteran won’t be blown away by them, but these tips would have saved me some deaths before starting Wolcen, and maybe they’ll help you too.

What’s happening in The Division? The big loot shooter The Division 2 fundamentally changes many mechanics with the big “Warlords of New York” expansion.
“WoNY” is already coming on March 3, and the level system will not be spared:
Max level increases from Level 30 to 40.
This applies to all players of the new campaign in New York.
Gear Score increases from 500 to 515.
This applies to agents who either stay in D.C. or do not purchase the expansion.

Once we go to New York, the Gear Score no longer matters.
“Warlords of New York” expansion improves level system
Who is Level 40 for? When we buy the new expansion, we have the choice at the start: Do we begin directly with the campaign in New York or do we play around a bit in familiar Washington D.C.?
As soon as the campaign around Aaron Keener starts, leveling up from Level 30 to Level 40 begins. Once we have defeated the boss and reached the maximum level, we will not return to D.C.
By the way, the equipment level loses significance, as there will only be gear at Level 40, and everything will drop at this level. Even if we return to D.C. after successfully hunting, we will only loot Level 40 gear here as well.
Who still needs the Gear Score? The equipment levels do not completely disappear from the game. If you do not purchase the expansion or want to stay in D.C., you will continue to farm equipment with Gear Score.
However, the maximum is increased, from 500 to 515. This applies to all Year 1 content. As long as you do not start the campaign in New York, the equipment level remains the most important value for the gear.
At equipment level 500, you often get items at lower levels, which is annoying!
Why is this better? Without the equipment levels, the system becomes significantly simpler and, above all, clears up a major logic flaw that the old system had. Namely, that we often still have equipment after countless hours of looting that is not at the max level 500.
Currently, there is equipment at lower levels that can be better than a piece with the maximum level. This will change with the new system, and the stuff at Level 40 is supposed to really be the best we can find on the streets of both metropolises.
The raid will then reportedly be playable with both level systems. One version for agents at equipment level 515 and one for players at Level 40.
New looting & leveling for everyone and forever!
What happens to our current stuff? A large part of the current equipment will become useless and can be dismantled when we go to New York. This creates space in the stash, and with the new recalibration system, it should not fill up quite as quickly.
What happens after Level 40? For the time after Level 40, the developers have also come up with something. An infinite progression system will be introduced, with which we can use collected resources to further improve and specialize our agents.
The new progression system shows at least 800 extra levels to grind. The “Scavenging” area, which the developers did not want to explain further, should be familiar to some from Division 1.
Whether it is truly infinite and how much it will cost to further refine our characters will be revealed with the update.
What do the Level 30 boosters do? Another new feature of the system is the Level 30 boosters. If we pre-order the expansion, we receive such a booster and can immediately bring one of our agents to Level 30 with full gear set at Gear Score 500.
For example, we could leave one agent at Level 30 to possibly still play with colleagues who have not purchased the expansion and want to take a look around again. More boosters will presumably be available in the shop.
Finally, the disliked Gear Score disappears, at least in New York. What do you think about it?

How many voted? By the end of the survey, a total of 50,295 users participated and voted on Twitter. The users could choose one of four options in the poll:

What is the result? After over 50,000 votes, it looked like this at the end:
30 percent of users on Twitter stated they want to play Last-Gen games.
Clearly trailing behind are “Better Game Graphics” with 19.2 percent and “Exclusives” with 13.2 percent.
Why are the survey numbers so interesting? Currently, there is a lot of speculation about the price of the new console generation. And this survey also shows that the battle between PlayStation and Xbox will ultimately be decided at the cash register.

A new bot plague is currently spreading in WoW Classic. Especially Stratholme is a popular place for entire bot groups.
In World of Warcraft Classic, bots unfortunately belong to everyday life. Whether players rely on PvP farm bots that just earn honor in battlegrounds on the side, or level bots that automatically kill enemies so you don’t have to level yourself – there are bots on every realm.
Currently, however, there seems to be a large group of organized bot users who operate several hundred accounts simultaneously across a variety of realms. They always follow a similar pattern.
What kind of bots are these? In the subreddit of WoW Classic, the user mateuscx has compiled a whole range of information. He noticed that on his realm, suspiciously many groups visit the dungeon Stratholme and almost always in the same combination: one druid, one priest, and three mages. Then the group returns to Undercity and sells the loot at the auction house.
Those who observe the characters will notice that they always use the same route and move in “jerky” steps. A character takes a few steps and then waits for the others to catch up – and this happens repeatedly. A clear indication of automated play, such as through scripts and bots. In addition, the bots constantly undercut their own offerings in the auction house.
With some research, mateuscx then found out that these bots were not only active on his realm but also present on almost all other realms with around 20 characters. These bot groups exist on nearly all realms and go through Stratholme or other dungeons. The problem is primarily found on US realms, but EU realms are also struggling with this bot plague.
Here is a video of the bots’ movements. What at first glance looks like player movements seems to be automated – because on all other realms, the characters move in exactly the same manner.
What are the bots selling? The bots primarily sell Flawless Black Diamonds and Righteous Orbs. These orbs are needed for the enchantment “Crusader”, which is considered the optimal enchantment for both endgame and PvP twinks, thus yielding high profits. There is an extreme demand for these materials on most servers.
Some take it with humor: However, there is also a group of players who take these bots humorously. After all, there have always been bots in World of Warcraft, and that is thus the “true WoW Classic experience.” Moreover, some players are happy that bots significantly lower the prices of certain items in the auction house, making them more affordable.
Others, however, recommend at least on the PvP servers to ambush the bots on their way to their respective dungeon. They would hardly defend themselves in PvP and instead consume potions and other resources but can effectively offer no resistance. While this is not a long-term solution, it at least brings short-term satisfaction. Players have already dealt with PvP bots themselves.
Why isn’t Blizzard doing anything? One often hears the accusation that Blizzard does not respond to such bots, even though they have been reported many times. However, this may only be true in the short term. In general, Blizzard bans such bots in large waves, which then affect many accounts simultaneously.
This makes it more difficult for bot manufacturers to pinpoint exactly which behavior or code caused them to be caught. If Blizzard banned more frequently, it would be easy for bot creators to identify the problematic part of the code.
So let’s hope that all these bots will be caught with the next big ban wave.

Tsubasa doesn’t need realism: Reactions to this trailer have been largely positive as well. One user even commented: “I don’t know the anime at all, but I can say this looks better than the annual FIFA game.”
Of course, we are talking about two completely different games here. After all, in FIFA 20, the most you can do is play the Mystery Ball mode, where you can fire off a few boosted shots. Otherwise, the FIFA series relies on a more or less realistic soccer simulation.
Why is there actually no Tiger Shot in FIFA 20?

And a complete game in FIFA 20 lasts about a quarter of an hour – while in Tsubasa, it takes at least three anime episodes (just a little joke).
In the competition for the best soccer simulation, Tsubasa and FIFA 20 are unlikely to be rivals. But we can still look forward to a pretty fun soccer game with Tsubasa!

“Pest Wick” aka Pestily is not someone you want to meet in a raid
What does the video show? In the nearly 8-minute video, Pestily completes two successful raids and takes out all his opponents with style. Armed only with a handgun, he storms through the halls and storage areas of the Tarkov map “Factory” and lets no one escape.
Even the Wick-style headshot is something he does on several opponents, even though they are long gone and back in the main menu. Meanwhile, music from the well-known action films of the Wick series plays in the background, setting the mood for the streamer.
Why is this so intense? Like the action hero “John Wick”, Pestily moves across the map and shoots with his silenced handgun everything that crosses his path. He doesn’t even carry a main weapon – just a bit of armor, a few syringes of Propital and Meds, enough ammo, and he’s off.

Who is Pestily? The Australian streamer plays primarily Escape from Tarkov and has greatly benefited from the hype around the shooter in recent weeks. At times, he was even number 1 on Twitch.

In Destiny 2 your weapons have various stats, but what exactly do they do in the game? Let’s take a closer look at stability and recoil direction.
Stability in Destiny 2: Guardians are meant to have a good and relaxed time in the Destiny universe. Therefore, Bungie decided to keep stats simple and avoid a confusing jumbled mess of numbers in the game.
However, at some point a Guardian will wonder: What does it matter if my weapon has high or low stability? In the game itself, it is stated: Stability is “the recoil force exerted by firing this weapon.”
Decent Stability
Destiny 2 itself doesn’t say much about the effects of recoil force. What remains unclear is what high or low stability actually changes.
Things get even more interesting when considering that there are so-called hidden stats for every weapon in the game. These can only be accessed through external apps or databases like light.gg, but they have a strong impact in-game.
But one thing is reliable in Destiny: the community. Resourceful Guardians are true analysts and tireless experimenters. As such, they have also dealt with the issue of stability and recoil.

General Effects of Stability: Destiny players have found (via Reddit), that stability affects these factors:
Recoil – the actual kick. This refers to the distance and inaccuracy that the reticle or projectiles travel between shots.

Do you want to gift the Battle Pass in Fortnite for Season 2? There are currently some issues. What do the developers say?
Update from February 21 at 8:45 AM: Overnight, Epic Games has resolved the issue. Players should now be able to gift the Battle Pass as usual.
If you are playing on PC, you might need to restart the game for it to work.
However, there is one exception. Players on Android and iOS cannot use the gifting feature of the Battle Pass.
This is the situation: On February 20, 2020, the new Season 2 of Chapter 2 started in Fortnite. As with every new season, you can expect a new Battle Pass. By purchasing it, you unlock special items and receive additional cosmetic rewards and V-Bucks as you level up.
This is the problem: Some players want to gift a Battle Pass today. A social action when you want to do something nice for your friends and surprise them or help them because they don’t have enough V-Bucks in their account to buy the pass themselves.
But as has now been determined, the feature does not work for some players. You can click around on the button all you want. Nothing happens in the game.
As can be seen from Google Trends, interest in this gifting action is currently particularly high. In comparison, you can see the search interest of the last 7 days for the search term “Fortnite Battle Pass gift”. Presumably, it is trending like this because it is not working.
We are aware of the issues preventing some players from gifting the Battle Pass. We will inform you as soon as the issues are resolved.

In short: Both weapons are worth it. Especially the Wedding Invitation deals insane damage and has strong abilities, making it one of the best sniper rifles in the whole game. However, you need to shoot 100 hearts for it – and there’s hardly any time left for that.
Where can you still get enough hearts?
Here’s how to get the weapons: To get the weapons, you need to shoot the hearts that are floating around in the area like the Halloween ghosts from the Bloody Harvest event. The ghosts are also currently roaming around.
The hearts appear in large numbers where many enemies are. A good place for this is, for example, Voracious Canopy on Eden 6. The local Saurians are enemies that you can defeat quickly and appear in large numbers.
A very good option is also the Slaughterstar 3000. Here, you will be faced with waves of strong Maliwan enemies, but there are also many hearts around. You can collect the required number just in time before the event ends if you hurry.
The event is almost over
Can I get more than one reward? In principle, each vault hunter receives the event weapons only once. So you need some luck if you want to hit the right anointment.
A farming trick that some players use works by utilizing split-screen. When you create a new vault hunter here, they also receive the event weapons as soon as the necessary number of hearts has been shot. You can then transfer them to your main vault hunter. But only until this evening.

A few days ago, we asked you about the current opinion regarding World of Warcraft Classic. We wanted to know if you are satisfied with the changes Blizzard made to Classic (compared to the original “Vanilla” over 15 years ago). Even though one group received a lot of votes, it is clear that opinions vary widely.

think Blizzard is overdoing it
A solid 18% of participants stated that they disagree with Blizzard’s changes. In their opinion, the developers have already changed too much about Classic. With the adjustments made over the past weeks and months, it simply is no longer the original that was anticipated for so long. For them, premade PvP queues are already a break from the “original” state of the game.
The
majority is satisfied with the current level of changes
The largest group – a proud 46% of participants – agrees with Blizzard’s changes and finds the current level of adjustments correct. For World of Warcraft Classic to work today, a few changes are indeed necessary. Recent adjustments in PvP were made to prevent trolling.

All changes are there to bring the game up to date after 15 years.
This comment aligns with the perspective of the largest group of players. To keep the intended gameplay of WoW Classic in a healthy state, a few changes are necessary, and so far Blizzard has done everything right.

For me, these are largely bitterly necessary adjustments that simply have to be made to avoid frustration. The argument that Blizzard would eventually patch Classic too much towards Retail is completely absurd. First, I don’t have the impression that they are doing more for Classic than the bare minimum and merely skimming the surface, second, they would only face effort that may not even be appreciated in the end. Why would they do that?
Over a third wants even more changes
With 37%, more than a third of you want Blizzard to make further changes and adapt WoW Classic more drastically to modern times. There are many bugs and exploits in the gameplay that should have been recognized as exploits back then and should certainly be resolved today. Especially the spawn of a certain flower is criticized by many and should be changed.
However,
there are also calls for more convenience features, such as the ability to switch between different specializations quickly and inexpensively.

– Blizzard can hardly please everyone
Our survey confirmed what many had already suspected. Views on what constitutes an authentic Classic experience vary widely. For some players, the feeling of the original was already lost when it became clear that Classic realms could house more players than was the case back then. Other players support changes that lead to preserving the gameplay style of back then, whether because PvP battles are fairer or because exploits that were hardly known back then cannot be used on a large scale anymore today.
The
player base has very different expectations from Classic and this makes it difficult for Blizzard to satisfy everyone. But at least it must be said: the largest group is currently quite satisfied. Apparently, WoW Classic is on a pretty good track.
