Warriors in World of Warcraft jump like kangaroos across the battlefield. It looks funny and also provides a significant advantage.
Those who have been on the battlefields in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands in recent weeks might occasionally rub their eyes in surprise. Because it’s not the Demon Hunters who are hopping through the WoW battlefields, but the Warriors. By combining a legendary item with a PvP talent, they gain so many jumps that they bounce across the map like a kangaroo.
Heroic Leap is an ability of the Warrior that allows him to jump to a target location within a range of 8 to 40 meters and deal minor damage at the target. The ability has a cooldown of 45 seconds, so it can actually be used rarely. Typically, it is used to escape danger zones or to quickly join the ongoing battle.
How does it work? Basically, the trick only works if you craft a specific Legendary and then combine it with a PvP talent. The two effects are:
Barbarian (PvP Talent): Within 3 seconds after using ‘Heroic Leap,’ you can use the ability a second time without the cooldown applying.
Leaper (Legendary): Grants your ‘Heroic Leap’ ability 2 additional charges.
The combination of these two effects allows the Warrior to jump up to 6 times in a row. He has 3 charges thanks to the Legendary, but each used jump gets an additional bonus jump from the PvP talent.
This means that the Warrior can cover a distance of 240 meters in just under 8 seconds – far more than any other class could do even while mounted.

Kangaroo Warriors are the fastest flag carriers in WoW
What’s the benefit? In most cases, so many jumps in a row are just for fun. However, in PvP, this can be really useful for getting to a mission target quickly, before players from the opposing faction can even get close.
This is particularly strong in battlegrounds like Warsong Gulch. There, Warriors can pick up the enemy flag and then simply jump over the deadly middle area of the map in six targeted jumps. No other class can really keep up with that speed.
Is the combo always super strong? Basically, it must be said that this combination really only helps to win in a few battlegrounds. After all, the Warrior is giving up a Legendary that provides real utility in combat.
For those niche situations where the Warrior can bounce across the map undisturbed, the kangaroo combo in WoW is a good choice – at least until a Death Knight decides he doesn’t want to watch it anymore and pulls him back with Death Grip.
