In Valheim, a player tried to ride a Deathsquito, but the vile beast took revenge and carried him to the highest point in the area.
In the new survival game Valheim, players have many options and freedom in how they spend their free time. Some Vikings build huge houses, while others tame animals.
But a brave warrior decided to take a ride on one of the deadliest foes in the game: a Deathsquito.
This is what happened: The hero of our story is the user YaKoiza, who reported his adventure in a thread on the Valheim subreddit. He posted a video of him confronting a Deathsquito. These are nasty mosquitoes that can quickly spell doom for unwary players because they can deal serious damage.
Skillfully, YaKoiza deflected the attack of the nasty insect with his shield and then jumped onto its back. For a moment, he seemed to triumphantly ride the Deathsquito, but the beast had other plans for him.

This is what the short ride on the Deathsquito looked like

This is how the adventure ended: Luckily, the brave Viking had good friends he could rely on. To get the mosquito rider down, they began dismantling the base of the pillar.
The result was that it lost its support, collapsed, and the Viking came back down to the ground along with the debris. In another video, YaKoiza shows what the rescue operation looked like from his perspective (via medal.tv).
To survive the fall damage, the Viking had to increase his HP. He stated that he ate three different types of the best food in the reddit thread and ended up with 185 HP with an even higher maximum.

When the pillar underneath him finally collapsed, he lost 100 HP to fall damage and survived the adventure with some bruises and cuts.

What are Deathsquitoes? Of course, the question arises for some: Why did he even challenge the Deathsquito? In a post on reddit, YaKoiza wrote that the nasty insects had killed his friends multiple times and he was “deeply outraged” about it.
The smallest enemies in Valheim are really nasty beasts, even if they look harmless. They appear in the plains biome and can take out an unprepared Viking with a single attack.

Here you find the race: The starting point on Mount Chiliad is located near the top. So it’s best to ride a motorcycle up the mountain right away.
Cars are not suitable for this race. Since you cannot request a vehicle on the mountain itself, it’s best to drive up the mountain with the right car.
There are two important shortcuts on the track
You have 54.2 seconds for the race. If you reach the finish in time, you will receive 101,000 GTA dollars immediately.
Time trials in GTA Online The time trials are optional races on the world map. You do not have to join a racing lobby or wait for other players; you can participate directly with your own vehicles. You can complete each time trial once per event week with the full payout. If you win the same race in the same event week multiple times, you will receive about $2,000 per win from the 2nd win onwards.
Vespucci canals – Another 101,000 GTA dollars
Here you find the race: Go to the Vespucci canals. The time trial is represented on the map with a purple remote control for you.
It is important that you have unlocked the RC Bandito cars through the Arena workshop. Only then can you participate in the race.

Titan with Thundercrash
This super is the strongest: Titans deal the most damage in a very short time with the Striker. Choose the middle Arc tree “Code of the Missile” with the Thundercrash super.
The new exotic chest piece One-Eyed Mask is the shooting star of Season 13 and has revitalized the class almost single-handedly. The exotic greatly increases the damage from the impact and aftershock and grants you an overshield after flight.
Titans simply hit hard with the missile
This is the damage:

Damage without exotic: 225,800
You can increase the damage of the Arc super by 30% with the artifact mod “Transient Transfer”. For this, you must be in the red zone at activation (you can also shoot yourself at your feet with a grenade launcher)
You or your team can debuff the enemy – this way, the enemy takes up to an additional 30% more damage.
Pros and Cons: The damage is dealt in a short time, but you have to slam directly into the enemy like a missile. However, the overshield should ensure your survival – if anything remains after the massive impact that could be dangerous.
Hunter with Golden Gun
This super is the strongest: Choose the Gunslinger as a Hunter to deal damage quickly. With the lower Solar tree “Way of the Sharpshooter”, your Golden Gun can deal precision damage.
The exotic helmet Celestial Nighthawk is always carried by Hunters for good reason. With it, the Golden Gun only has one shot, but it is very powerful. If you take out an enemy this way, the super recharges by a third, and enemies explode.
The Golden Gun rewards good aiming with high damage
This is the damage:
Damage with exotic: 276,900.
Damage without exotic: 3 shots with about 50,000 damage each.
If you score some precision kills before activating the super, you can increase the damage by 30%.
You or your team can debuff the enemy – this way, the enemy takes up to an additional 30% more damage.
Pros and Cons: With the Golden Gun and the Celestial Nighthawk, the high damage occurs immediately and from a safe distance. However, you must aim very well; if you don’t hit a crit or even shoot wide, the super is wasted.
It is important to note that some bosses have an unusually high multiplier for critical hits. This includes Kali in the raid Last Wish. Here, the Golden Gun is the strongest super.
Warlock with Chaos Reach
This super is the strongest: Warlocks should choose Stormcaller for high boss damage. With the middle Arc tree “Attunement of Control”, you have access to the Chaos Reach super.
The exotic boots Geomag Stabilizers fill up the Chaos Reach super extremely quickly while sprinting (from 80% charge) and significantly extend the duration in the super as long as you hit enemies. Since you can abort the super early and regain energy, a deadly cycle ensues.
With Chaos Reach, Warlocks go on Dragon Ball
This is the damage:
Damage with exotic: 444,000 damage – 8,880 per Arc tick.
Damage without exotic: The damage per tick is identical, but the duration is not even half as long, resulting in significantly less total damage.
You can increase the damage of Arc super by 30% with the artifact mod “Transient Transfer”. For this, you must be in the red zone at activation (you can also shoot yourself at your feet with a grenade launcher).

Pros and Cons: The Chaos Reach with exotic takes longer than the 3 supers to deliver high damage. However, the range is very high, and you don’t have to aim precisely, as if a tick goes awry, you quickly make that up with the approximately 50 individual hits. Due to the cancel and recharge mechanic, this super becomes available very quickly.
What about the Nova Bomb? Both variants of the Nova Bomb deal about the same amount of damage. However, the damage is just over half of what Chaos Reach does. Additionally, there’s no specific exotic that could increase the damage of the Voidwalker super.

Conclusion: The current hype around the Titan and his Superman super is justified by the numbers. However, there is no single strongest super for every situation, as neutral play or team composition also plays an important role.
Also, remember that you or your team can debuff enemies – for example, with skills or exotics like the Tractor Cannon or the Divinity. This way, the enemy takes up to a maximum of 30% more damage.

The endgame of Outriders – Expeditions
What are expeditions? These are repeatable missions that lead you to new areas after the main campaign. According to developers, these are completely new areas that are not repeated from the main story. There are a total of 14 expeditions.
Expeditions are considered the toughest content in Outriders. You will need good gear, strong builds, and a team. The difficulty level is variable because Outriders offers world tiers that determine how tough the enemies you encounter are.
The faster you complete an expedition and the higher the difficulty level, the better your rewards will be at the end. In addition, crafting and mods allow you to improve your builds and equipment.
Can you play expeditions alone? As the developers confirmed to us in an interview, expeditions are designed for teams. It may be quite difficult for solo players. While it is possible to complete them solo, you will need appropriate powerful gear.
Once you have successfully completed all 14 expeditions, a final 15th expedition called “Eye of the Storm” will be unlocked. There are currently no details about it, but it is likely to be some sort of conclusion to the story of the game. How long will the story be in the main game? In total, the main story is expected to provide 30 to 40 hours of gameplay, with several more from side missions. Over the course of the campaign, players will reach level 30.
Genshin Impact released a new trailer and gameplay details for the upcoming character Hu Tao. Here’s what we know about her so far.
Who is Hu Tao? Although she appears quite young, Hu Tao is the 77th director of the Wangsheng Funeral Home in Liyue. She started working at a very young age and performed the burial ceremony for her grandfather, who was the 75th director of the company, at just 13 years old.
In Liyue, Hu Tao is also known as a trickster. She enjoys pranking others, scaring them, and generally causing mischief. However, she is also a poet whose talent is recognized by the city’s residents.

Hu Tao is a nimble polearm fighter whose gameplay is closely tied to her HP and her Pyro element.
For example, she can enter the ‘Paramita Papilion State’. Her ATK value increases based on how much HP she had when she entered the state, up to +400%. During this state, her damage is converted to Pyro damage, which cannot be overwritten by other elements. This is also why the new 5-star polearm is perfect for Hu Tao.
While in the Paramita Papilion State, her charged attack applies the ‘Blood Blossom’ effect to enemies, inflicting Pyro damage every 4 seconds.
With her ultimate attack ‘Spirit Soother’, Hu Tao, alongside a fire spirit, creates a large AoE that deals Pyro damage. The damage done to enemies regenerates a certain percentage of Hu Tao’s maximum HP. If her HP is below 50% at that time, both the damage to enemies and the HP regeneration are increased.

When is Hu Tao released? Although the character was leaked a few months ago, Hu Tao is still not playable. The developer miHoYo has not yet announced an official release date.
Players in the Genshin Impact community hope that Hu Tao will appear in the next banner, which comes at the beginning of March. Others speculate that she will only come with update 1.4, for which miHoYo has also not revealed a release date so far.

In late 2019, Google launched its gaming service Stadia. Through it, games can be accessed and played directly in the cloud. Expensive gaming hardware or downloads are not required. However, the great success did not materialize, and the porting of games for Stadia is said to have been quite expensive.
Where does the information come from? Gaming journalist Jason Schreier has written a report on Google Stadia for Bloomberg. In it, he talks about the unusual way in which Google has handled Stadia, as well as the costs and problems of the service.
He particularly emphasized the costly porting of video games like Assassin’s Creed and The Division. These alone are said to have cost a double-digit million amount.
Schreier also explains why so many players have a problem with the Stadia model.
Too much advertising, time pressure, and high costs
What did Google do wrong? According to Schreier, Google took an unusual path with Stadia from the beginning. While new products usually start with a long beta phase – GoogleMail was in beta for 5 years – Stadia was advertised from the start and sold as a finished product:
Phil Harrison, the head of Stadia, called it the “future of gaming”.
It was introduced with marketing campaigns for innovative features and a game library with exclusive and well-known titles.
However, Stadia employees reportedly told Schreier that the time frame until fall 2019 was too short to deliver all the features players would expect.
From their perspective, Stadia should have been marketed more cautiously and as a beta.
Good, but expensive games: To enable the porting of games for Stadia, it is said that double-digit millions were paid to well-known publishers like Ubisoft and Take-Two.
Why was Stadia still not a success? Despite the high costs, the selection of games at launch was limited, and there were no exclusive titles that players could not use elsewhere.
The unfamiliar payment model added to the difficulties:
Initially, a starter kit for 130 euros was needed. This requirement was later removed.
Initially, a subscription for 9.99 euros was mandatory for usage. Now it can be used with restrictions, such as missing 4K, without a subscription.
Many games offered by Stadia need to be purchased additionally. Because Stadia’s subscription primarily provides the service itself, unlike, for example, Microsoft’s Game Pass. If Stadia were to be discontinued, access to the games might be denied. A risk.
What happens next? Currently, Google still holds on to Stadia, even though they themselves do not develop exclusive titles. Instead, the focus in the future will be on external games.

In fact, power weapons are the strongest guns in Destiny 2. A shot from a rocket launcher can take out plenty of Guardians at once. So why are numerous Guardians now struggling to achieve 10 seemingly trivial kills with them?

Power weapons kill the fun in the Iron Banner of Season 13
This governs the Iron Banner: The problem is not the lethality of power weapons but getting the ammunition for them. It comes from a crate that only one team can open, and after a few seconds, the crate disappears again. Once the ammo crate appears, it is marked for everyone on the map.
Since everyone wants to complete the quest, all Guardians gather near the crate and camp, sweating and lurking.
Here, grenades are thrown, and everything else a Guardian has to offer – the opposing team is not allowed to access the crate.
Even if you have won the trench battle and load the coveted ammunition into the rocket launcher or draw your sword, the opposing team activates their super and tries to steal the ammo. Then the outcry is enormous.
It’s also annoying when a teammate steals your kill just because their shot arrived a millisecond earlier.
The whole match in the Iron Banner seems to currently revolve around this crate of power ammo. This massively disrupts the gameplay flow and completely ruins the fun for many.
This is how the community reacts: On Reddit, in the Bungie forum, and also here on MeinMMO, there are numerous posts such as:
“10 power weapon kills are a joke” (via Bungie.net). Users claim that they feel so bad because they just can’t get to the ammo and can’t achieve what seems like a simple task.
Some Guardians anticipated the problem in advance and said before the reset: “Hello Bungie, we see in the API that tomorrow’s Iron Banner requires kills with heavy weapons. Who thought that would be a good idea?” (via reddit).
On MeinMMO, reader Ryon comments in disgust: “Disgusting how everyone waits for the ammo…”
It is also criticized that due to the special Iron Banner rules, matches often end prematurely and one side dominates strongly. This is due to the mechanic that locks zones and grants triple points to the stronger team.
Even the loot itself is a target of criticism. Because it is basically just recycled from previous years.

“Has Bungie learned nothing?”
The problem is not new: Back in 2020, a quest in the Iron Banner required Guardians to secure kills with rocket launchers. Even then, the uproar was high and camping at power ammo was unbearable.
Guardians have not forgotten this and are now mocking Bungie for seemingly having learned nothing. On reddit, it says for example “Do you remember when they [Bungie] had to automatically complete it because it was too bad? LOL.” The site thegamer writes: Bungie forgets the important lesson not to make power ammunition a requirement for Iron Banner.”
The good news: Capturing zones and eliminating Guardians while trying to get power ammo counts towards later quest steps.
In total, you still need to achieve 15 super kills
Capture 40 zones
Eliminate 100 Guardians.
Additionally, there are kills with pulse rifles and submachine guns – but you will automatically receive those two weapons from the quest when the time comes.
Until Bungie decides to change the quest – if at all – you have no choice but to equip weapons like the Wardcliff Coil or the Colony and save your super for the power ammo. Or you can just leave the quest aside for now, as you have until May 2021 to tackle it.

With Fortnite or currently Call of Duty: Warzone, the Battle Royale genre is incredibly popular. MeinMMO editor Noah Struthoff is also addicted to a Battle Royale, but instead of shooting his opponents, he defeats them as a cold-blooded geography nerd.
This game is about: In recent weeks, I have become downright addicted to Geoguessr. It’s a browser game where you get shown a location somewhere in the world via Google Maps. You can then move around using Street View and must figure out which country or city you are in.
There are various modes with different regions of the world. There is even a Battle Royale available, where you compete against other players and must discover your location particularly quickly. If you are too slow, you are eliminated.
In the Victory as a Geography Nerd
This is what Geoguessr looks like: There are tons of different modes to choose from. Do you want to travel only in Europe? Do you want to recognize only countries or the exact location? Do you want to be able to move around or just see that one picture? The selection is vast.
Once you have decided on a mode, you usually start directly with the first location. This is what it might look like:
On the right side of the image, you will then see a world map. If you think you have recognized the exact point, you can zoom in and select. The game will then tell you how far you were from the actual target.
This is how the Battle Royale works: In this mode, multiple players compete against each other. You have a total of 3 attempts to find the correct country. If you guess wrong 3 times or if enough other players were faster than you, you are eliminated.
In the end, it then goes to a 1-vs-1. Whoever recognizes the right country first wins the round.

How much does Geoguessr cost? Per day and email address, you can play exactly one round for free. However, this does not include rounds against other players, but only solo adventures.
If you want to play Battle Royale or more than just one round a day, you can subscribe.
This is how I became a geography nerd: The game excited me right from the first round. My great passion, besides gaming, is traveling. The Corona crisis is unfortunately greatly restricting that right now, so at least I can think of upcoming trips through a few pictures from other countries. It costs at least $1.99 a month.
In the first rounds, I was brutally defeated by my opponents and even in the solo rounds, I wasn’t particularly successful. I therefore watched YouTubers and noticed that there are even real leaderboards and records for Geoguessr. Several YouTubers are really successful there and can recognize their location from the smallest details.
I quickly learned some tricks and got better quickly. Let’s have a test. In which country in the world are we here?

At first glance, this looks like a completely normal city that can probably be found anywhere in the world. However, we are here in Brazil. How do I know that?
The center line of the road is orange. This is usually only the case in America. All other continents are eliminated.
Additionally, I see an advertisement in the background that is either Spanish or Portuguese
The biggest clue, however, I find on the left of the bridge on the yellow wall. There is an internet address with the ending .br – that stands for Brazil (such tips with URLs can only be found by luck; they are often pixelated)
My nerd knowledge goes even further. Over the past few weeks, I have studied the countries that have left-hand traffic. This way I can recognize from the cars which countries are possible.
Additionally, there are some countries that do not have Google Street View at all. They also cannot be part of the game. This is particularly helpful when there are Arabic signs. Only 3 countries worldwide use Arabic signs and have Google Street View: Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.
If you want to show off in front of your friends, and believe me, I have already done this, then tell them the following: Kyrgyzstan is the only country in the world that uses Google Street View and has a red stripe on the left license plate. So, if I see a car with such a red stripe on the license plate in Geoguessr, I know I am in Kyrgyzstan.
With all this knowledge and many more nerdy things that would exceed the scope here, I dominate the rounds in Geoguessr. I haven’t made it into the game’s holy leaderboard yet. But who knows, maybe that dream will also come true sometime.
