The legendary scout rifle from the “Deep Stone Crypt” raid is used by 2.13% of all Guardians. The Solar weapon accounts for 3.31% of all kills in PvE.
Why is the weapon so popular?
- Like all weapons from the Deep Stone Crypt, Trustee can also drop with the powerful perk “Reconstruction,” which auto-loads the magazine and doubles the size in passing.
- The weapon also fires fully automatically, which makes it easier to use and allows the combination as a Solar gun with the strong kinetic weapons that appear later in this list.
- In Season 13, scout rifles are additionally supported by seasonal artifact mods and are a safe option against annoying Champions.
- Thanks to a trick, you have a chance at the weapon every week, even if you only visit the raid briefly.
Trustee is therefore not only the most popular but also probably the best scout rifle in Destiny 2.
Rank 9: Plunderer Salvo
The grenade launcher Plunderer Salvo is new to the game in Season 13. 2.75% of Guardians can hardly imagine a loadout without the weapon and a solid 4.53% of all kills are attributed to Plunderer Salvo.
Why is the weapon so popular?
- Everyone can earn the powerful grenade launcher through a quest. Whether you go into PvP, PvE, or Gambit is entirely up to you: This is how you quickly obtain the new grenade launcher in Destiny 2 – How strong is it?
- Unlike many other legendary weapons, you have more freedom in perk selection. Because quest weapons always come with fixed perks, you can choose from 2 options depending on the situation.
- This allows you to double the magazine, generate chain reactions after kills, do more damage against bosses, or choose “Demolisher” – which is often used for many builds.
- Grenade launchers like Plunderer Salvo, which only have one shot per magazine, were also buffed in Season 13. They are now easier to use as the projectiles explode upon contact.
The easy availability and versatility have made this special weapon with Arc damage quickly one of the favorites.
Rank 8: Workaholic
Workaholic is a legendary precision shotgun that 2.93% of Destiny players always carry. However, the recorded kills are surprisingly low at only 0.68%.
Why is the weapon so popular?
- The Arc weapon for the special slot fires only one projectile compared to conventional shotguns, instead of a wide spread charge – this is called a “Slug-Shotgun.”
- These rounds have very high range and after their PvE buff are the strongest shotguns against bosses, which can be easily fired from a safe Warlock well.
- Workaholic can additionally drop with really strong perks for boss fights. Standouts include “Vorpal Weapon” and “Self-Loading Holster.”
The high usage and low kills reflect the status as a damage dealer in heavy fights. Especially in the current raid against the final boss Taniks, many Guardians revert to using the shotgun.
