The new affix for Patch 9.1 in World of Warcraft has finally been revealed. You will get really cool Anima powers in the dungeons!
With Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination, a new dungeon season will also begin in World of Warcraft. This also brings a fresh affix that aims to put players under additional pressure. The first version of it can now be tested on the PTR and sounds pretty cool. Because your characters can choose really strong Anima powers!
What are affixes? In mythic keystone dungeons, not only do enemies become tougher, but there are also so-called “affixes” that add to the players’ challenges. The harder the dungeon, the more affixes there are, which rotate each week. However, the affix starting from level 10 is always the same within a season, meaning most strategies and tactics are built around this affix.
What is this affix? The new affix will be called “Tormented”. This means that starting from a keystone level of 10, there will be 4 additional mini-bosses in the dungeon. The bosses are not very difficult, but they apply an aura to the players as long as they are in combat. The auras are:
50% reduced movement speed
A DOT effect (damage over time)
50% reduced healing
50% increased physical damage
If one – or several – of these mini-bosses are not defeated, then the auras are additionally active on the last boss of the dungeon!
However, defeating the mini-bosses is worth it for another reason: For each defeated mini-boss, the entire group can choose an Anima power that remains active for the rest of the dungeon.
Some of the selectable Anima powers. Image source: wowhead
What Anima powers are there? A whole range. Here are a few of the most relevant ones:
Signet of Bolstering: Enemies that die within 40 meters around you increase your dealt damage by 4% for 20 seconds, stackable up to 5 times. Additional stacks do not refresh the duration.
Broken Mirror: Magic damage taken reduced by 15%.
Champion’s Brand: As long as you have more than 70% of your health points, your haste or critical strike chance is increased by 8%.
Dripping Fang: You have 25% additional lifesteal while your health points are below 25%.
Roots of Shaladrassil: You heal 6% of your maximum health points every 3 seconds as long as you remain still.
Satchel of the Hunt: You grant all allies within 20 meters an additional 30% movement speed.
Volcanic Plumage: When you deal damage to a target, there is a chance to create a volcano under the target, erupting after 2.5 seconds, dealing damage to all enemies within 3 meters and launching them into the air.
The Stone Ward: You receive a shield for 20% of your maximum health points. The shield is renewed every 30 seconds.
More about WoW and Patch 9.1 on MeinMMO can be found here:
Isn’t that RNG? At first glance, it doesn’t seem like it. The offered Anima powers appear to depend on the respective boss and the player’s role. For example, if a mage defeats Arkolath, the same 3 Anima powers are always offered to them. At least that seems to be the case so far on the PTR.
How the new affix plays out and whether it needs any fine-tuning will surely be shown in the coming weeks. However, it looks promising that some of the Anima powers from Torghast also “spill over” into other content.
What is your first impression of the new affix?

A player has mastered the weekly “Extermination” mission in Destiny 2 in record time – solo, as a Hunter, and without dying. He is now being celebrated massively on Reddit, receiving compliments and congratulations.
What is the Labyrinth about? In Season 14, Destiny 2 has recently introduced a new weekly mission: Extermination. This continues the seasonal quest around the Vex every week. Players infiltrate various areas of the Vex network to free the Last City of humanity from the Vex simulation where it is currently trapped. The network essentially resembles a gigantic labyrinth, primarily testing the acrobatic skills of the players while allowing them comparatively little combat.
A sort of competition has arisen around this mission, with numerous players trying to complete the labyrinth in the shortest possible time and defeat the boss at the end – ideally without dying. One player has achieved a remarkable performance. He surpassed the typically dominant Warlocks and Titans in his time as a Hunter, accomplishing the whole feat in record time.
The Vex Labyrinth in the Extermination mission
Hunter Mastery in Perfection
This is what the player accomplished: The Redditor Herbieh achieved a flawless run of the first Extermination mission as a Hunter in a time of just 3 minutes and 26 seconds. We have not found a faster time so far (at the time of writing this article). The closest is a player with 3:28 – however, that player was using a Warlock.
Herbieh seems to glide through the massive labyrinth, every move is precise, hitting every little step with breathtaking accuracy. The boss is also defeated at the end in just a few moments, almost in passing.
You can watch his run in full length (or short) here:

What is so special about this? On one hand, the time itself is remarkable. While many players manage to complete it in under 5 minutes, and some even in under 4 minutes, completing it in less than three and a half minutes is nearly unheard of, at least solo (a team of 2 has already cracked the mission in under 3 minutes). “Normal” Guardians are struggling to complete the mission in under 10 minutes.
On the other hand, almost all top times have been primarily achieved by Warlocks and Titans, as they can maneuver better and more precisely with their hovering jumps. However, Herbieh accomplishes this as a Hunter, making him virtually unchallenged in his class.
Lastly, it’s worth mentioning the immense dedication and perseverance of Herbieh that led him to this perfection in class and weapon mastery. It cost him more than 15 hours and around 400 deaths to achieve this flawless run.
How special his performance is can also be clearly seen from the comments. The consensus is that it is the most impressive (Hunter) achievement ever witnessed.
The Vex Labyrinth in the Extermination mission
How did the Hunter do it?
Herbieh relies on a Hunter with the Revenant Focus (Stasis) and the exotic ST4MP-F3R Boots for his run. He frequently uses the Shatterdive (avoiding fall damage), deploys the Glacier Grenade to create an ice platform, and always wields the exotic sword, The Line Beyond, during the jumping sections. With the sword’s teleport attack, he can traverse longer distances and take paths that would otherwise be impossible as a Hunter.
He ultimately defeats the boss with a combination of the exotic grenade launcher Anarchy, the raid shotgun Succession, and another shotgun. He also cleverly utilizes the boss stomp mechanic at the end to reach one of the platforms faster, where he must deposit a data bundle to overcome the immunity phase of the final boss.
What do you think of this achievement and how do you find the Extermination mission itself? How fast do you get through the gigantic Vex Labyrinth? Or do you generally refrain from such jumping-heavy challenges? Let us know in the comments along with other readers of MeinMMO.
The Minecraft server of the group “OfflineTV” is in demand: Many streamers on YouTube, Twitch, or Facebook want to access the “OTV Minecraft” server, but one of the creators explains why small streamers are not easily allowed in. Because they are often small because they are not good. Otherwise, they would be big.
What is OfflineTV? The loosely organized streaming group “OfflineTV” includes some of the biggest streaming stars in the world. The group was originally founded in 2017 and consists of five members: Pokimane, Michael Reeves, scarra, Lilypichu, and Disguised Toast.
The group has some extremely popular streamers in its circle who often collaborate with them, such as Valkyrae or Sykkuno.
Especially in the pandemic year 2020, the group’s popularity and that of the streamers in their vicinity grew:
With the “OfflineTV” server for Rust, a trend was created at the end of 2020: You could only access the server as a streamer and with an invitation. The interaction between different streamers made the survival MMO Rust (2013) the “new hot hit” on Twitch for several weeks in 2021.
OTV’s Minecraft Server is set to be the next big trend
This is now the Minecraft server of OTV: This is the same idea as with the Rust server. You can only join the server with an invitation and have to be a “big streamer” or at least have good connections to get the opportunity to play on the server with others.
The new Minecraft server launched last night, on June 2, with about 40 hand-picked streamers.
Many streamers have now definitively said goodbye to “Among Us” and are apparently turning to Minecraft in the coming days and weeks.
This is now the discussion: One of the members of OfflineTV, Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, was asked in a stream why small streamers are not allowed on the server. It was implied: It would be unfair if only the biggest streamers had the chance to present themselves to such a large audience.
Disguised Toast said:
Someone said: Hey, why don’t you invite small streamers? You want me to invite streamers just because they’re small? Just for that? Go fuck yourself! This is not a charity here! We aren’t handing out gifts.

Small streamers are generally small because they are bad streamers
The streamer got into a flow:
Small streamers are usually small because they are bad streamers. That’s why they don’t get big. There are streamers with potential, to whom I would love to give a chance. But they don’t get a chance just because they are small, but because they have potential.
Disguised Toast
When Disguised Toast was reminded that he was once a small streamer, he explained: That may be true, but he was a small streamer who had potential, humor, and a huge brain. That’s why he got big, not because he was small.
They will invite streamers they think are good and don’t depend on the size. Hundreds of people ask him for invites. He already declines requests from people with 30,000 viewers, and people want him to let a streamer with 20 viewers onto the server? He can’t just skip streamers with thousands of viewers just to make a “20 viewers” Andy big.
Anyway, the server is mainly intended for OfflineTV and their friends.
Streaming is a tough business – no gifts are handed out
This is what it’s about: The OfflineTV projects ultimately revolve around synergy and cross-promotion. Those who play together with other streamers reach new target groups and can potentially grow much faster than if they are going solo.
Therefore, games like “Among Us,” which streamers usually played with other streamers, or projects like “Rust” have a high attractiveness for streamers: They are ultimately extremely lucrative and act like growth accelerators to gain new followers.
But Disguised Toast makes it clear here: The big streamers do not host these projects to promote any small streamers out of the goodness of their hearts, but there is a clear intention behind it: They primarily do it for themselves.
Anyone who wants to have a chance to get onto the server must prove beforehand that they make the server better. Just showing up with wide eyes and saying “I’m just so small” doesn’t cut it in the tough world of streaming, even if streamers often portray themselves as nice and accessible, it’s ultimately a business.
Joint projects of streamers have enormous potential but can also cause problems:
In WoW BC Classic the first raids have already been completely cleared – just one day after release. Some of the bosses had previously dealt significant damage to the players and held out for weeks.
Who achieved the World First? The guild Progress from the EU server Firemaw mastered the raid Karazhan on the night of June 2 to 3, completing the last raid they needed. They are now the first guild to have completed all three raids from Phase 1 in BC Classic.
Gruul apparently caused problems for the guild APES. Image source: wowhead.
How did they manage that? Many players from Progress quickly leveled up to the maximum level by “Dungeon Spamming.” However, not all players were Level 70 when they entered the first raids.
Thus, they entered the raids earlier – except for Karazhan, the easiest and best of the three raids, for which you must be Level 70. Therefore, Progress first completed the other two raids and then continued leveling and completing dungeons to obtain even better gear.
Competitor APES was still struggling with Gruul, as too many players were not at Level 70 or nearby, making the first boss in the Lair a challenge.
The guild defeated the final boss Prince Malchezaar shortly after midnight on June 3, German time (via warcraftlogs.com). They only needed about 24 hours to clear all the PvE content of the first phase – including leveling.
Previously, guilds took significantly longer to do so. The professional guild Method collects the times for the World First kills in their archive (via method.gg). Back then, the bosses lived much longer:
Karazhan: 12 days after release (including the secret boss Nightbane, not Prince Malchezaar)
Gruul: 19 days
Magtheridon: 40 days – almost 6 weeks
Nightbane is the secret boss in Karazhan.
Why did it go so fast? The reason everything goes much faster today is partly because players know much better what to do. Over the many years, professionals have gained experience and now know exactly how to reach the maximum level or get through a raid as quickly as possible.
By today’s standards, the raids from Classic and TBC are not necessarily challenging; however, back then hardly anyone knew how the mechanics worked. Still, 24 hours is an impressive achievement. Congratulations, Progress! It remains to be seen how they will handle the upcoming content, as some of the bosses from BC are the hardest in history:
In other MMORPGs standard, finally also in World of Warcraft. With just one click, you can leave annoying disconnects behind.
On the PTR of Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination, a new version of the update has been installed. The update brings a lot of small balance changes, but also a fresh feature that makes one wonder why it has come only now. But better late than never, there’s now a simple “Reconnect” button when you get kicked out of the game.
Reconnect button makes disconnects more pleasant: If you experience a disconnect in World of Warcraft in the future – no matter the reason – you will be thrown back to the start screen as before. However, in Patch 9.1, a large “Reconnect” button will be waiting for you, allowing you to log back into the game with a click.
What does this bring? Basically, one thing: time savings. Because after a disconnect, reconnecting in World of Warcraft can take a bit of time. Not only do you have to manually re-enter the password, but in some cases, you also have to confirm access with the authenticator (e.g., on your smartphone). Often, this simply does not work.
Many players report that they always have to completely close the client and reopen it through the Battle.net app to get back into the game.
The new Reconnect button saves time. Image source: wowhead
After all, these seconds can definitely decide whether you finish successfully or fail during a hectic dungeon visit in the “Mythic+” area.
More about WoW and Patch 9.1 on MeinMMO can be found here:
Especially useful for streamers: All streamers and live content creators are likely to gain an additional benefit from the “Reconnect” button. Because they often had the problem that when a disconnect occurs, the WoW start screen appears, and their email address is publicly visible.
Since there are often one or two trolls in the streamer community, they could of course do a lot of nonsense with the email address.
This annoyance is also likely to be somewhat mitigated in the future.
A small but fine change – but it was somehow time after 17 years, wasn’t it?

Although this month only sees the release of update 1.6 for Genshin Impact, there are already some leaks about 1.7. According to these leaks, a total of 5 characters are expected to come with the update. MeinMMO summarizes what to expect according to the leaks.
What’s coming with 1.7? If the leaks are to be believed, the 1.7 update will bring a total of five new characters. Some of them have been known for a while.
What are these leaks? The supposed information comes from various sources that have repeatedly published leaks about Genshin Impact. Leaks have been quite common in recent months, which is why there are numerous community members who publish such information.
One of the more well-known sources is the Discord channel of “Wangsheng Funeral Parlor”, whose information was subsequently published in the Genshin Impact subreddit (via reddit.com).
These characters are reportedly coming with 1.7 according to the leaks:
Ayaka
Sayu
Yoimiya
The Electro Traveler
An unknown 4-star character
Keep in mind: Leaks can be wrong or even contain false information. It has happened before that characters were leaked for a specific update but were ultimately not included. For example, many players assumed that Ayaka and Yoimiya were already planned for update 1.5.
We summarize the information from the leak for you and show which characters are supposedly coming.
4-Star Character Sayu
Who is Sayu? There isn’t much information yet. However, it seems Sayu has some special abilities.
Sayu is likely an Anemo character with a claymore.
Her elemental abilities allow her to generate powerful Anemo explosions by tapping the corresponding button.
Holding down the button transforms her into a ball, allowing her to roll around the battlefield without consuming stamina.
She also has an AoE skill that heals team members in the vicinity, similar to Diona.
The leaked base stats are particularly strong, and her Cryo attribute allows for powerful combinations. There is less concrete information about Yoimiya. She likely has the Pyro element and uses a bow in combat.
Electro Element for the Traveler – The Strongest Yet?
What’s the deal with the Electro Traveler? Essentially, this is not a new character but a new element for the main character, which is played from the beginning of the story. Leaks about this circulated even before update 1.5.
Travelers can only change their form at the statue in the respective region. For Liyue and Mondstadt, there are the Anemo and Geo elements for the Traveler. Now, a new element for the Traveler would also imply a new region in Genshin Impact.
However, it would require new statues for the Electro element, which would likely be found mainly in Inazuma. If the leak is correct and the Electro Traveler is coming with 1.7, there must already be at least smaller regions of Inazuma in this update.
According to the leaks, the Electro Traveler is expected to bring good energy recharge for himself and the team. Allegedly, it is said to be the strongest element for the Traveler so far.
Additionally, an unknown 4-star character is set to join the game with 1.7.
Here’s again the warning: Leaks should generally be taken with caution. Even if the information sounds plausible, things can always change or the info can be incorrect.
When can we expect 1.7? Normally, updates are released in a 6-week rhythm. Since 1.6 is set to release on June 9th, you can expect 1.7 around mid-July. Until then, we will have a clearer understanding of whether the leaks are correct or not.

V Rising will be a new survival game with a unique approach: You play as a vampire, basically just what you usually run away from in other games. The game has strong influences from Battlerite, and the beta is expected to arrive in 2021.
What is V Rising? In V Rising, you play as a vampire and awaken naked and powerless in your coffin. Your goal is to become the “next Dracula,” as the marketing director Johan explains in an interview (via stunlock.com).
The game combines survival gameplay and skill-based action combat with a Diablo-like top-down view in a huge open world. The world itself is said to be dark and gloomy, with castles and buildings in a suitably gothic style.
Blood is one of the core features of the game. The life juice is your staple food, but also a way to empower yourself with buffs. The main source of blood is humans, but rats will do in a pinch. Special blood, such as that from scholars, can enhance your abilities.

You can play V Rising both solo and in clans. According to current information, between 40 and 80 players will be able to play simultaneously on a server.
V Rising is being developed by Stunlock, an indie studio from Sweden. The studio is mainly known for the arena brawler Battlerite, Dead Island: Epidemic, and Bloodline Champions. Some of the mechanics from these games are also utilized in V Rising.
Hunting at night, sleeping in your own castle
These are the features: Not much is known about the details of the features yet, but the contents themselves remind of classic survival components. V Rising comes with both PvP and PvE content:
Castles are your own bases that you can build and upgrade – there should be 50 castles possible per server
if you die, you lose your loot and have to pick it up again
the combat system is a major focus of the game, and the developers refer to action and skills similar to Battlerite
there will be mounts – even mounted combat should be possible
multiple weapons for combat and a magic system will also be available
In V Rising, there is even a day and night cycle, which functions entirely differently than you might be used to. As a vampire, you can hunt better at night because humans see you worse. During the day, you burn to ash if you stay in the sun too long. The dangers are therefore exactly reversed.
It is more dangerous outside during the day.In villages, you will find loot.A stylish throne of your own.At night you feel more comfortable. There will also be dungeons. You are faster on horseback.Stylish Gothic castles.
When and where can I play? V Rising is currently announced for PC on Steam, with no information about console versions yet. According to the developers, a beta is set to be released “later this year”, but without a specific date. You can sign up for the beta on the official site (via playvrising.com).
In the interview, the marketing director jokes about the studio’s location in a small town in Sweden. Many of their “neighbors” there are also indie developers, from which well-known and big games like Valheim, Raft, Satisfactory or Goat Simulator originate. At least Valheim and Raft have already made it into our list of the 25 best survival games for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. A good omen for V Rising?

Canadian Félix “xQc” Lengyel is currently the most-watched streamer on Twitch: However, since his ban from GTA 5 “No Pixel” the 25-year-old enjoys playing in online casinos on Twitch. While he is very successful with this, he no longer feels comfortable, as he notices that the addiction is taking over him.
After being repeatedly banned from his favorite game, the role-playing server “No Pixel” in GTA 5, he has recently succumbed to gambling on Twitch. He plays in online casinos, even though he once promised fans never to do that. When he does, he averages 108,600 viewers – more than for any other game.
Now xQc has announced that he will stop these streams. He is afraid of becoming addicted and slowly going crazy.
From Casino in Rust to Blackjack in Crypto-Casino
How has gambling developed for xQc? For years, xQc actually had nothing to do with online casinos on Twitch. He even told his fans that he would never come to them with that.
But he showed an early tendency for gambling, but initially, it wasn’t about real money, but in-game currencies in games like Rust. There he played at the roulette wheel and lost a fortune in scraps, then wandered around dejectedly.

It was in April 2021 when he suddenly appeared live for the first time in an online crypto-casino on Twitch. Shortly thereafter, that suddenly became part of his streaming routine: He played blackjack or slot machines.
Playing increased significantly just last week because he was constantly being kicked out of GTA 5. Suddenly, xQc was “only” playing 16 hours of Valorant and spending 34 hours in the slots category.
Almost 120,000 watched xQc gamble in “Slots”. Source: Bigwinboard
He had to listen to a lot of criticism, that he shows his young audience how much fun it is to waste their money.
His own fans also constantly teased him about it: They said they had seen how much xQc wins and when trying to replicate it, then lost all their money for rent. They would soon be homeless.
Additionally, the discussion arose about whether what xQc is doing is even legal, as online gambling in Texas, where xQc apparently lives for tax reasons, is strictly regulated (via twitter).
xQc also warned his viewers not to replicate it: Gambling is terrible; they should not do it, and he shouldn’t either.
In any case, it seems xQc is now following his own advice: Gambling is bad; don’t do it.
Originally, he did not understand this criticism of the streams:
Star Stable Online is an MMO centered around horses and it is very successful: Over 600,000 players log into the game monthly. And yet, you may have never heard of it. Because the target audience of the MMO is primarily teenage girls, who do not fit the classic “gamer mold.”
This is Star Stable Online: In fact, the MMO Star Stable Online for PC is nearly 10 years old. The first server for Swedish players went online in September 2011. The game is played from a third-person perspective. After character creation, players are introduced to the basics of Star Stable Online and can embark on adventures on the mysterious island of Jorvik.
Once the island was a dreary rocky place, until one day a star crashed onto it. From the flames emerged a horse carrying a girl on its back. They rode to the center of the island and brought life with them. At least according to a legend. But since that day, all horses have a special connection to the island.
Essentially, Star Stable Online follows the usual MMORPG formula. You can explore the various areas and settlements of the island of Jorvik with your character. This can be done both alone and together with friends. In the process, you complete quests, solve puzzles, advance in the story of the game, and above all, take care of your horses.

This is the gameplay of Star Stable Online: Horses are the focus of the MMORPG. You receive your first horse right at character creation. Others must be earned or purchased.
The game offers a wide selection of different horse breeds, including both real and magical horses
You can level up and train your horses
The horses have a mood indicator that affects their performance
Each horse has its own stats and special abilities
You can equip your horse with saddles and other accessories, which also have stats
Completing quests and caring for horses in stables gives you the in-game currency Jorvik Shillings, which can be spent on various items: such as new accessories for horses or your own character.
When the horses are well cared for and in good spirits, you can take them to various racetracks. Star Stable Online features over 60 racetracks with varying difficulty levels. Besides the usual rewards like in-game currency and EXP, you can also compete for first place on the High Score Board and try to set a best time.
Additionally, you also earn reputation with the various factions within the game. How much reputation you gain and for which faction depends on which track you choose.
Star Stable Online: A refuge for many girls during the pandemic
What the financial reports say: With the horse setting, Star Stable Online has found its own niche, which now successfully supports the MMORPG. In the financial report for the year 2020, the company Star Stable Entertainment AB, the developer of the MMO, reported several major successes (via press.starstableentertainment.com):
The amount of play hours increased by 53% compared to the previous year to 109 million
The average number of active users per day increased by 39% to 152,000
On average, 633,000 players log into Star Stable Online monthly
Over 2 billion chat sessions were recorded in 2020
And the growth continues. For the first quarter of 2021, the company reported a growth in player numbers of 25%. Like many other online games, Star Stable Online benefits from the global Corona pandemic, due to which many people spend more time at home and cannot see their friends as often. The CEO of the company, Johan Sjöberg, is aware of this:
[…] For many [girls], our game was the place where they met friends with whom they otherwise could not play. […] We will continue to be a hub for today’s teenage girls.
Gaming worlds that pass us by
Why do so few gamers know the game? Star Stable Online is a game that receives virtually no attention or coverage from most gaming media because it targets a completely different audience than the gaming media addresses. While the average gamer will have no interest in the horse MMO, the game is still booming because it has found its own niche and is virtually unmatched in it.
Which huge hit is hardly known? A similar example is the gaming hit Roblox, which should also be rather unknown to many core gamers. The game has been around since 2006 and has developed over time into a social hub for children and teenagers, where, for example, virtual birthday parties are held.
In recent years, Roblox has experienced a financial boom. Especially in 2020, the estimated value of the game grew from 4 to a staggering 29.5 billion, largely attributed to the Corona pandemic. The number of players was around 164 million in August 2020. These are numbers that some AAA titles can only dream of.
However, despite their successes, these games do not appear or only rarely on the radar of core gamers.
PlayStation enters into a partnership with a luxury brand. The fashion label Balenciaga now offers clothes in PS5 style. However, if you want to dress there, you have to dig deeper into your wallet for the new collection than with console resellers on eBay.
What is the partnership about? That Sony PlayStation collaborates with big names and brings various merchandise items in the PlayStation look is nothing unusual. Recently, there were sneaker collaborations with Nike in a special PS5 design.
But now a new cooperation is causing big eyes and dropped jaws among some fans. For it seems that the luxury fashion label Balenciaga has come on board. Recently, a PlayStation collection has been offered there. And it is quite something.
Hoodie more expensive than a PS5 at a reseller
What does the collection include? The collection (on balenciaga.com) is rather straightforward. It includes
2 shirts – in black and in red
and a black hoodie, which is a hooded sweater
The simple clothing items are emblazoned with PlayStation and Balenciaga logos and branding on the front and back. Here you can get an idea of it:
Source: balenciaga.com
How expensive is the fun? It is not the collection itself that stands out but primarily the price.
Balenciaga, known for not having discount prices, generally requires buyers to dig deep into their pockets if they want to dress with the fashion label. However, the products from the PlayStation collection all cost more than a brand new PlayStation 5 console!
the shirts cost €510 each
the hoodie costs you €665
Just for comparison:
a PS5 with a disc drive costs €499.99 (RRP)
a PS5 Digital Edition costs €399.99 (RRP)
Thus, the hoodie is even more expensive than the standard price of a PS5 Digital Edition with unscrupulous resellers – which currently stands at around €600. There is at least a consolation: Shipping is offered free of charge by Balenciaga.
Many are now wondering what Sony aims to achieve with this partnership. The average gamer probably won’t be the target audience for this collection anyway. What do you think? Is the intention to offer something special to well-off fans or simply to make headlines and stay in the conversation? Would you buy something from it if you had the money to spare? Let us and other readers from MeinMMO know in the comments.
The reliable leaker “Tom Henderson” is considered well-informed. In a new tweet, he addressed the weapon adjustments in Battlefield 6. It looks like the latest installment in the BF series is borrowing a strong weapon feature from its big competitor Call of Duty: Warzone: a comprehensive gunsmith with multiple attachments per weapon.
What’s going on? Battlefield 6 is set to be globally unveiled on June 9. Currently, very little is known about the latest installment in the shooter series – not even the name is fully confirmed. A boom for leakers, who stimulate players’ imagination with small bits of information.
What does the leak say? Henderson’s latest insight regarding the next Battlefield title revolves around the customization options for weapons. On Twitter he wrote:

The leaker suggests that these are indeed attachments for the different weapon parts – sights, barrels, grips, stocks, magazines, and possibly more.
How could this work in Battlefield? Judging by Henderson’s initial statement, Battlefield seems to be taking inspiration from Call of Duty. CoD has had the gunsmith in its current form since Modern Warfare in 2019.
The base weapons are often difficult to play with this system, and they are improved and adapted to your playstyle through the attachments. You unlock the new attachments through a leveling system. As you play with the weapon, you level up, and at the maximum level, you have the full selection.
Experiences from CoD have shown that many weapons benefit from this. You can customize and play them in various ways. However, balancing is complicated. In CoD: Warzone, for example, certain attachments are considered mandatory because the bonuses are very strong. If you’re a player who wants to get the most out of your weapons, you must stay alert and keep an eye on not only the weapons but also the attachments during balance patches.
Why is it the best weapon feature in Warzone? The weapons become more versatile, and one weapon can serve multiple purposes with different attachments. This encourages experimentation and increases motivation to level up a weapon to the maximum. However, the balancing must be right – this can sometimes cause issues in Warzone as well.
What do you think about a gunsmith in Battlefield that works like in Call of Duty? The older Battlefield titles also had weapon customization options, though not as extensive. Do you think a deeper attachment system would benefit Battlefield? Or should developers perhaps revert to a system from earlier installments in the series? Discuss with us in the comments on MeinMMO.

The Caverns of Wailing in Hearthstone go live today. We show you all 35 new cards that will make your life difficult starting today.
To ensure that there is no boredom in Hearthstone between two major releases, the developers transitioned to releasing small “mini-sets” some time ago. This is exactly what is happening today with the Caverns of Wailing, a new expansion featuring 35 fresh cards.
Blizzard has already released all the cards in advance, so you can start planning now. It’s best to think about which of the cards you will include in your favorite deck in the future – and which cards you should be cautious of.
All New Class Cards from Caverns of Wailing
All Neutral Minions from Caverns of Wailing
Additionally, there are a number of “adventurer” cards. These cannot be collected but are generated during the game by other cards. In total, there are 8 variations:
What do the cards cost? The 35 new cards (with duplicates, so 66 cards) can be purchased for 2,000 gold pieces. Those who prefer to combat the issue with real money can instead pay €14.99 to unlock the mini-set completely.
When will the cards be available? Starting today. The “Caverns of Wailing” will be released today, June 3rd, 2021. Usually, this happens in the early evening between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM worldwide simultaneously. If you are in the game during activation, you will be prompted to restart.
More about Hearthstone on MeinMMO can be found here:
What are players saying? The new set is being discussed in the Hearthstone subreddit and the official forum. Opinions are mixed, but there is considerable concern in many cases about the new cards. The fear is that the new Paladin cards will further solidify the dominance of Paladins, while other classes may be left a bit short. However, some players also note that the other classes now have at least a few counter options thanks to the addition of some new cards.
How the new cards will affect gameplay will likely be revealed in the coming days. Will you be getting the mini-set? Or do you find the cards too uninteresting and will skip them?

In a live stream about the Japanese MMORPG hope Blue Protocol, Bandai Namco finally showed new gameplay scenes from the closed beta. A new class was also introduced: the “Heavy Smasher”. MeinMMO summarizes the key information for you.
What is Blue Protocol? The MMORPG initially reminds of Genshin Impact due to its anime graphics. However, Blue Protocol is officially an MMORPG with a focus on PvE. It is said that Blue Protocol will not offer traditional PvP at launch.
Blue Protocol places a strong emphasis on storytelling, during which you encounter NPCs that help you save the world. You are a time traveler fleeing 1,000 years into the past to prevent a catastrophe.
What’s new? In a live stream, the developers from Bandai Namco showed new gameplay, featuring some combat scenes. A new class was also introduced.
Gameplay shows fights and a new class whose weapon resembles Monster Hunter
What kind of class is this? Translated, this class is called “Heavy Smasher”. It fights with a type of hammer that can also be used as a firearm.
In the gameplay, you can see how the character bashes enemies and also blasts them with energy shots. This partially resembles the gunlance from Monster Hunter, which is a mix of a physical melee weapon and a kind of firearm.
In the gameplay, it shows that the class can charge shots, deal damage with swings, and initiate powerful jump attacks.
Here you can check out the gameplay in a compilation:

Who is Blue Protocol interesting for? The online RPG is aimed at anyone who enjoys Genshin Impact but prefers to experience the game as an MMORPG. Blue Protocol offers group play, raids, dungeons, quests, and action-packed combat in a beautiful anime world. If that appeals to you, you should keep an eye on the title.
This is what Blue Protocol is about: The MMORPG tells its story through many quests and interesting NPCs that you encounter. The overarching story sends you as a time traveler back about 1,000 years into the past to prevent a catastrophe.
In addition to the story, you will fight in dungeons together in a group against boss opponents or participate in raids. This way, you will obtain valuable resources. These are needed to improve your equipment and craft new gear.
Is there PvP? No, there is no PvP. You can only indirectly compete in challenges against other players. There are no battles against other players.
When will Blue Protocol be released? The MMORPG is currently in beta phase in Japan. The release in Japan is planned for 2021, but a specific date has not been announced yet.
The new MMORPG Swords of Legends Online gained attention mainly for its PvE content during its initial announcement. For a long time, many were unaware that PvP also plays an important role. We at MeinMMO also did not have everything in view at first, but we now want to enlighten you about the PvP content.
What is going on with the PvP in SOLO? Swords of Legends Online has a considerable focus on PvP content. There is even special PvP equipment that you can earn through the arenas and which is more effective in fighting against other players.
SOLO offers roughly 3 different types of PvP:
Open-world PvP
Two factions fighting each other
Various arenas where players can fight each other in a clear scenario
However, there is some confusion regarding open-world PvP. We at MeinMMO initially assumed that it was optional. But that is not the case. To make sure you know how PvP works in SOLO, we have summarized all the information here.
PvP in the open world, but with harsh penalties
How does open-world PvP work? Upon reaching the maximum level student 1, every character gains the new ability blood frenzy. Whoever activates this can then attack other players in the open world who also have the ability. And this is where the confusion arose.
Every character automatically gains the ability with student 1, and this cannot currently be prevented. However, merely possessing it is enough to be attacked by other players with blood frenzy, even if you never use the ability. Below student 1, you are safe from attacks.
Anyone who attacks a player who has not activated the blood frenzy ability must expect penalties:
For kills of other players, you accumulate stacks of “malice”.
Anyone killed with many stacks of malice by other players ends up in prison and has to serve in-game time there.
However, there is an exception: Since beta 2, you can join one of two PvP factions or remain neutral. Players from the opposing faction can be killed in the open world without accumulating malice, provided the faction skill has been activated (more on that in the faction section).
The prison in SOLO is primarily a dark and desolate place.
How does the prison work? Anyone who dies with stacks of malice goes to prison. You must stay there until you have removed all stacks of malice or defeated the guard. You lose stacks as follows:
Every 3 in-game minutes, one stack automatically decreases as you sit and sing at a specific spot.
You can carry stones in a repeatable quest, which greatly slows you down. For each stone carried, you receive a potion that removes 4 stacks of malice.
Additionally, you should definitely disable blood frenzy, which slowly but surely builds up more stacks of malice.
For killing 2 other players, I already accumulated 100 stacks of malice in beta. This means I had to sit out 5 hours of in-game time or transport numerous stones boringly from point A to B.
In the upper right corner by the compass, you can see your stacks of malice.
The guard can be fought after completing another quest in the prison. Theoretically, you could try to defeat it and thus escape. However, upon entering the prison, you receive a debuff that caused me to deal 0 damage. The debuff lasted for 90 minutes but kept refreshing.
Besides singing, carrying stones, and fighting the warden, you can play cards with NPCs in the prison, but this does not remove any stacks of malice.
What does open PvP even bring? Nothing at all. There are no loot or special rewards for killing other players. On the contrary, if you kill another player, they can even place a bounty on you, allowing other players to hunt the killer. However, we have not been able to test this bounty system yet.
Otherwise, there’s only punishment, which you must serve in the form of in-game time. Therefore, there is no real reason to kill other players who do not want to engage in PvP.
The Heavenly Alliance (blue) is an order committed to order and morality
The Mystics (red), on the other hand, worship several deities and are very in tune with nature
The two factions fight each other and can kill each other in the open world without receiving malice. However, the faction skill must be active to fight other players. This can be activated manually or is automatically activated by entering the faction area.
The faction skill deactivates itself every morning at 6:00 AM or can be disabled by a special item obtained from faction vendors. However, if you teleport into the area and then leave it, you can deactivate PvP again by activating the faction skill.
To join a faction, you need to complete a quest that you can find in the cultivation (key “J”). However, you can also avoid this and remain neutral. The faction is also bound to the respective character.
You can choose between these factions.
What are the benefits of being in a faction? By joining a faction, you can enter the new PvP area Sword Sound Valley and fight there. This is a huge map that is entirely focused on the battle between the factions and where there are no penalties for PvP.
Can you change factions? Yes, that’s theoretically possible every 7 days and costs 50 gold. However, you will lose your gained progress with the respective faction.
PvP in different arenas
What is arena PvP like? In the arenas, you can expect 5 different modes:
The duel battle, where you play in a 3v3 in an arena and can rise up a classic leaderboard from bronze to diamond
The “Realm of the Five Elements” where you fight 15v15 against each other
The “Fort Haizhou,” where you must hold a flag in the middle of the map until you reach 1,000 points first. This is played in 10v10
The Brothers of the Emerald Clouds also hold a battle. This is a type of battle royale where you can gather loot and the map becomes smaller over time. However, this arena is only available on certain days and at certain times.
The fifth mode is the “Battle in the Sand.” Here, 10 players face off against 10 players. In this mode, one player per team is transformed into a monster and must be healed. The first group to possess 3 runes wins. However, this mode has been temporarily disabled by Gameforge.

Even in June, owners of the Xbox Game Pass can expect a new selection of games. Again, it is a wide range of titles. MeinMMO shows you which games you can look forward to this month.
What is the highlight in June? In addition to some other cool titles, the highlight in June is a big multiplayer game from Ubisoft: For Honor. We introduce you to the game and explain why it is so popular.
When is For Honor available? From June 3rd, you can play For Honor on consoles and via the cloud. Unfortunately, PC players are left empty-handed.
What kind of game is it? For Honor is a multiplayer game that sends you into melee with axes, swords, and other weapons. These are brutal, fast, but also tactically influenced. On the battlefield, it’s worth keeping a cool head; blind brawling will be quickly punished.
You assume the role of different fighters, each of whom has special characteristics and equipment. The combat system focuses primarily on combos, parries, blocks, and feints. The focus is on dueling and teamwork.
For Honor has different modes where you meet rather in smaller groups, such as in 4-vs-4, and less large battles with dozens of participants.
The current metascore is 79. The user score is 5.8 (via metacritic.com).
Players especially praise the scope, the technically optimized state of the game, and the good gameplay.
Some criticize the in-game shop of For Honor, which invites spending money even though it is a full-price game.
Others complain that it could become repetitive after some hours of gameplay.
For Honor is especially something for fixed groups that can coordinate and communicate. So if you’re looking for a game to play with friends, you should definitely try For Honor.
Pro
Good, dynamic, and tactical combat system
Large scope
Diverse characters
Still supported by the developers
Contra
Only motivating in the long term with a fixed group
In-game shop with purchasable content, despite the buy2play model
Much grind needed to unlock items
Overall 4 new games from June in the Game Pass
These are the new games for the Game Pass: In addition to For Honor, there are three other titles coming to the different platforms of the Game Pass:
The Wild at Heart (only on Cloud) – Available
Backbone (PC) – From June 8th
Darkest Dungeon (Cloud, Console, and PC) – From June 10th
The new content in the Game Pass starting in June.
Games that are no longer in the Pass from June 15th:
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (Console)
Night Call (Cloud, Console, and PC)
West of Dead (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Wizard of Legend (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Observation (Cloud, Console, and PC)
What is the Xbox Game Pass? It is a subscription service that allows access to over 100 games for Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X/S and PC. The most expensive version of the subscription is the Xbox Game Pass, which costs a maximum of 12.99 euros per month. The Xbox Game Pass can also be described as a kind of Netflix for games .
Thanks to a special method, it is even possible to save some money. However, be aware that not every game in the Xbox Game Pass is available for the Xbox consoles and PC. The offer also changes monthly.
Microsoft is continuously working to expand the Game Pass offering. Meanwhile, the offer is very extensive on both consoles and PC. Even the subscription model “EA Play” from Electronic Arts is part of the Ultimate Game Pass and thus expands the offer by some games from the publisher.
In League of Legends, the new patch 11.12 will be released next week. The developers have provided a first look at the upcoming changes. Among these, there are notably many changes to the top lane, including a nerf for the currently strongest champion in LoL.
What changes with patch 11.12? On Twitter, developer Mark Yetter shared an image with the planned adjustments. It is evident that quite a few changes will occur in the top lane:
Wukong, Nasus, Gnar, and Renekton will receive a nerf
Illaoi and Malphite will receive a buff
Dr. Mundo will finally get his visual rework
However, the nerfs are not surprising. Just in the previous patch 11.11, there were several adjustments to tank items that greatly benefited the top lane champions. This led to two of them currently having the highest win rates among champions.

When will patch 11.12 be released? The new update is expected to be released on Wednesday, June 9th.
Wukong and Nasus dominate the win rates
Which champions are currently so strong? According to the statistics website League of Graphs, the champion Wukong currently has a win rate of 53.6% and ranks 1st when looking at all ranked matches starting from Iron rank (via League of Graphs). He was able to gain a remarkable 1.3% in win rate since the last patch.
Nasus has also made significant gains, currently holding 3rd place in win rate with 53.4%. His chances of winning have even risen by 1.5% compared to the previous patch.
Looking at the statistics for ranked games in Platinum or higher, Wukong still ranks 2nd in the statistics, while Nasus comes in at 7th place. However, there are champions in the top 10 that hardly anyone plays:
Wukong is used in nearly 10% of all matches, while Nasus appears in 5%
Sona, who is in 1st place, is used in just under 2% of all matches. Skarner (in 4th place) is even the champion with the lowest usage at 1.1%.
The second champion that is extremely strong in the top lane.
Why are the top laners so strong? With the previous patch 11.11, several items for tanks were adjusted. In particular, the Divine Sunderer, one of the mystical items, was buffed so that Nasus and Wukong can deal more damage while also receiving more healing.
Nasus also benefited from adjustments to Randuin’s Omen and Frozen Heart, while Wukong benefited from the buff to Black Cleaver. Overall, patch 11.11 was good for these champions, which is why they are now getting a nerf.
What about the other nerfs? In addition to the top laners, Varus and Kai’Sa will also be weakened. Kai’Sa was represented in 37.7% of all matches on average, making her the second most popular champion in LoL. A nerf here seems justifiable.
Varus, on the other hand, was relatively unpopular for a long time. In recent weeks, his popularity has increased somewhat, directly followed by a nerf from Riot Games.
Dr. Mundo gets his long-awaited rework
What changes for Mundo? With patch 11.12, Dr. Mundo will receive a new character model, new animations, and special effects to make him look better. However, his old playstyle as a super tank will still be preserved, along with the throwing of his giant cleaver.
Mundo is already the 24th rework that Riot Games is making to older champions. You can see exactly what these changes look like in this YouTube video from SkinSpotlights:

On June 11, the e-sports scene will continue. The pros are expected to play on an older version, through which we might see Wukong in the top lane. However, we will not see some professional players in the upcoming Summer Split.
WoW BC Classic was released on June 2 at midnight – worldwide. Everyone started at the same time. Not even 16 hours later, the first players have already reached the new maximum level 70. However, the method is not particularly exciting.
Who are the players? The warlock Hacez from the EU server Firemaw was the first player to reach level 70 in BC Classic. Four of his group members followed right after him:
The report of the max-level players from wowhead went live just 15 hours and 20 minutes after the release of BC Classic. They even mention that the group supposedly took only 13 hours (via wowhead.com).
How did they level up so quickly? The group gave themselves a kind of “kickstart” by having each player accumulate a full quest log of completed quests. The group then turned in these quests with the opening of the Dark Portal and subsequently only farmed dungeons.
Auchindoun in the forests of Terokkar has four dungeons on offer.
As a group of five, they visited instances for hours and completed them in combination with pure mass pulls. The presence of strong AoE abilities in the group from the mages, warlock, and paladin allowed them to gather and “kite” masses of enemies.
It’s not really varied, although it’s not necessarily without demand. A mistake can easily lead to a wipe and significant time loss, but you really have to mess up to do that.
What are they doing now? The group is now going into the first raids together with their guild. Apparently, their colleagues have already caught up, and together they have mastered at least Gruul’s Lair, one of the first raids of BC Classic. You can watch them live on Twitch, where one of the guild’s healers shows what they are up to:

Can I do that too? In principle, “spamming dungeons” is a valid strategy to reach level 70 – it’s just quite boring. Seeing the same thing dozens of times without variation is not everyone’s cup of tea.
This method has the advantage that you farm reputation and also pretty good gear directly. Both can also be obtained through questing, just not as quickly.
Apparently, the tactical shooter Valorant will also be playable on iOS and Android in the future. A mobile version of the game has been announced.
What do we know about it? So far, not much official information about the mobile version of Valorant is known – apart from the fact that it is supposed to come. When that will be the case and what the mobile version of the game will look like is still open.
The announcement of the mobile version of Valorant (via The Verge) comes just in time for the game’s anniversary, which was released on June 2, 2020, for PC. In its first year, Valorant aimed to prove that it is a worthy competitive tactical shooter, as quoted by Executive Producer Anna Donlon.
Now, they want to make this competitive gaming experience accessible to even more players around the world after attracting 14 million players so far.
Valorant for iOS and Android – Players wonder how this will work
How the community reacts: In the Valorant subreddit, some players respond with question marks to the announcement. Valorant offers a variety of abilities and play styles – one user doubts whether this can be implemented on smartphones (via reddit).
Another player hopes that Valorant will not simply be a 1-to-1 implementation on mobile but will be adapted: “Please be a separate game, like PUBG Mobile” (via reddit).
A month ago, rumors about a possible mobile variant had emerged, prompting players to discuss the feasibility. Even then, the “how” was discussed, and whether it could be a different kind of mode.
A player commented: “If anything, it will be good for the game. More people will find out what Valorant is and possibly bring them to the main game on PC” (via reddit).
Other games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, or PUBG have also taken the leap to mobile platforms. Valorant will also join this group. How exactly this will look in the end remains to be seen in the future.
Since June 2nd at exactly 0:00 AM, the first expansion of WoW Classic is playable with Burning Crusade. MeinMMO author Benedict Grothaus played through the release, and everything went surprisingly smoothly that night – at least until the peace was disturbed.
This was the release: At midnight, the Dark Portal opened, ushering in BC Classic, the re-release of the 14-year-old first expansion of World of Warcraft. Thousands of players were already waiting in front of the portal and wanted to explore the new areas of Outland.
Back then, in 2007, it was a huge chaos. I was there, and nothing worked. The servers stuttered, there were incredibly long login queues, and questing was nearly impossible. Even the release of WoW Classic in 2019 went like this, which is why I didn’t expect anything different this time.
Traditionally, an addon release in WoW is always a time when everything is overloaded and barely anyone can play properly. However, everything actually worked quite well with BC Classic – comparable to back then with Shadowlands. Apparently, the developers have finally learned from many years of experience.

Just a reminder: The intro of Burning Crusade back then.
Here’s why everything went so well: BC Classic didn’t launch exactly as it did back then but with some changes. Some of these changes helped make the release as smooth as it ultimately was. Three reasons particularly stand out that allowed us to play so well this time:
Many players ignored the quests and directly fled to the new dungeons to level up through pure grind
Through dynamic respawns, enemies appear much faster after being defeated
The layering technology divides player populations into different phases where they don’t interfere with each other
The last two changes go somewhat against the “classic feeling” but haven’t trivialized questing at all. We still had to fight for mobs in our group and invited random players to quickly complete one or two quests together.
Moreover, the servers ran smoothly. Except for the largest US server, there were hardly any reports of crashes or login issues, even on the large German and EU realms. However, this only lasted for the first few hours – and the issues weren’t even Blizzard’s fault.
Where do the problems come from? Around 2:00 AM German time, there were repeated larger lags and apparently even disconnects at times. However, these didn’t come from overloaded servers but from an external attack on the infrastructure.
The official Twitter account of the WoW developers informed during the night that a DDoS attack is occurring. This could lead to the corresponding problems:

In a DDoS attack (short for “distributed denial-of-service”), attackers flood their target with countless requests from various directions. This leads to an overload and ultimately causes normal users to suffer.
However, even the attack apparently did not spoil the fun for most players or even hinder them. The first players have already reached the new maximum level of 70 – not even 16 hours after release.
If you want to get a better picture of WoW Classic for yourself, tune into our stream. On June 2nd, we’ll dive back into Outland live:
