Thanks to an interactive story for the “Sentinels Of Light” event of League of Legends , we might know of another champion: Vex, the gloomy mage. MeinMMO summarizes what we know about her so far.
Where does the info come from? Vex is featured in the storyline of the “Sentinels Of Light” event. This is an interactive story that has been playable in the client since the event started on July 8.
In this story, the gloomy mage is mentioned. The Twitter channel lol_insider refers to a leak in a tweet, but strictly speaking, this is more of a reveal of the champion than a leak. After all, Riot has intentionally released this information.
Here is the Twitter post with an image of Vex:

What we know so far about the champion: Unfortunately, not much concrete information is revealed from what has been shared. We know that Vex is a mage. She was already shown in an earlier leak, back then her design was a bit different (via dexerto.com).
There are speculations that she might be the missing master of Yuumi. From some lore snippets, it seems that Vex enjoys traveling through the material and spiritual worlds. She apparently prefers being alone rather than in company.
From her initial description, hints about her abilities may already be drawn: “It annoys her immensely when hyperactive champions swarm around her. It annoys her so much that she gets serious and starts squashing all life forms full of irritating cheerfulness that buzz around her like pesky flies.”
So she might be a very headstrong and aggressive character. According to an earlier leak, Vex was supposed to become a sort of “artillery mage” and was originally meant to be released earlier. However, her role has since been revised, so she is expected to be more of a traditional mage. This likely led to the later release (via Twitter).
When could Vex come into play? This is currently unknown. A potential release can only be speculated about at this time. Since the champion Akshan is next to come into play, you shouldn’t expect the mage anytime soon.
However, she is definitely supposed to play a role in the “Sentinel Of Light” event, as confirmed by lead champion producer Ryan Mirales on Reddit (via reddit). So we will probably get more news about her.
What do you think of Vex? Do you like the character design? Or is it not really your taste? What abilities do you hope for? Discuss with us in the comments.
In League of Legends, the new Patch 11.15 is coming: The update brings a nerf for the LoL champion Aurelion Sol. The blue dragon is actually played very little, but now it turns out: The best of the best win too often with the unpopular champ.
What’s the deal with Aurelion Sol? According to statistics, the blue dragon, Aurelion Sol, is actually barely played in League of Legends (via leaguegraphs).
In the mid lane, the champion has a 1% popularity, placing him at 41st. The most popular champs like Sylas (12.9%), Zed (10.9%), or Yasuo (10.7%) are played about ten times more often than the dragon: He has a rather unusual skill set for a mage and has to get close to enemies to hit them with a damage field that surrounds him.
Although he is played so rarely and is rather unpopular, a nerf for Aurelion Sol is now on the way, which is supposed to come in Patch 11.5. The exact details of the nerf are still unknown.
For the 0.1% of the best, Aurelion Sol has the highest win rate
This is what Riot Games says: They say: Aurelion Sol has the highest win rate of all champions in “Elite Match-Making Ranking.” In the last two weeks, players with Aurelion have won 57.3% and 57.4% of their matches.
The win rate was checked at Riot Games, and it is indeed an outlier: It’s not just because a few players specializing in “One Trick Ponies” have taken Aurelion Sol.

The “win rate” as a basis for buffs and nerfs is controversial.
This is how it is debated:
A LoL fan says it’s strange to nerf the dragon, although he is played so rarely. Apparently, the sentiment against Aurelion Sol is so negative that hardly anyone plays him.
Another user even says: The win rate would be a stupid metric to exploit for nerfs. The champion is “absolutely not viable”, Riot Games does not understand its own balance.
A third user says: Aurelion Sol is absolutely not usable as a “main character”.
What’s the deal with Aurelion Sol that makes him so strange? The dragon Aurelion Sol has in LoL a weird skill set: Stars surround him, dealing damage to anyone they hit. This “damage field” can then be extended.
But somehow it seems to be a strangely static “mage must get close to enemies” playstyle, where players still have to consider the rotation of the stars, which many find unattractive, although the dragon is apparently extremely strong statically.
Most LoL players prefer a mobile or dynamic mage who can stun enemies and send them to their demise in milliseconds with skill shots or combos.
The last patches in LoL have also been controversially discussed:
Today, on July 13, 2021, the Spotlight Hour with Charmander in Pokémon GO starts. We at MeinMMO have looked at what bonus awaits you today and whether you should take advantage of the Spotlight Hour.
What is a Spotlight Hour? Every Tuesday, there is a one-hour event for trainers in Pokémon GO, where a specific Pokémon is in the spotlight. During this short event, this monster spawns particularly often. In addition, players receive a special bonus that also changes weekly.
This week you will encounter Charmander during the Spotlight Hour. It is one of the starter Pokémon from the first generation and is of the Fire type. When catching Pokémon, you will also receive double candy during this time.
Is Charmander worth it in Pokémon GO? Charmander and its first evolution Charmeleon are among the weaker monsters in the game. Therefore, they should not be used in raids or in the PvP league. However, the second evolution Charizard can be used as a solid Fire Pokémon in PvP battles. For raid battles, there are stronger Fire-type attackers. The significantly best stats of the Charmander family are held by the two Mega Evolutions of Charizard.
Spotlight Hour with Charmander – Start Time and Bonuses
When does it start? The Spotlight Hour starts today at 6:00 PM local time and lasts exactly one hour. At 7:00 PM, the event will already be over.
This is the bonus: During the Spotlight Hour, not only will you encounter more Charmander, but you will also receive double candy when catching Pokémon.
Is there a Shiny version of Charmander? Yes, with a bit of luck you might encounter the shiny variant of Charmander. However, it only differs slightly in color from the normal Charmander.
Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard normal (above) and as Shiny (below).
Is the Spotlight Hour with Charmander worth it?
Charmander has been available to catch in the game more frequently in the past. And in its basic evolution, this Pokémon is not very strong. However, you can evolve Charmander through Charmeleon to Charizard. Charizard is a Fire Pokémon in the game and is suitable for use in the PvP league. Additionally, it has two Mega Evolutions.
Furthermore, with a bit of luck, you might also encounter a shiny Charmander. So if you need a strong or shiny specimen, you should definitely take advantage of the Spotlight Hour. With the double candy when catching, you can also replenish your supply to evolve or power up a Charizard.
If you’re interested in more about Pokémon GOthis might also appeal to you:
What do you think of Charmander? What is your favorite starter Pokémon from the first generation? And will you take advantage of today’s Spotlight Hour or do you already have enough Charmander candies? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments.
On the weekend, there was a curious event in the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. The game could no longer be purchased online from the official store, with the error message stating that it was sold out. Additionally, no new characters could be created on any of the US servers. We at MeinMMO take a look at what happened.
What is it about? The MMORPG FFXIV is currently experiencing a huge hype wave. One gets this impression when looking at the player numbers on Steam and the view counts on Twitch (via TwitchTracker). However, the fact that the digital copies of Final Fantasy 14 are sold out is not something one would necessarily expect.
But exactly that happened over the weekend. If one wanted to purchase a PC version of FFXIV from Square Enix, one was placed in a waiting line and received a friendly message stating that unfortunately there were no copies available at the moment. They were simply sold out.
This message was received by users for some time in the Square Enix Store over the weekend.
How did this happen? A classic sold-out situation, as one might encounter in retail, is rather atypical with game keys. The keys are generated and usually quickly enough to serve the market. (via Steam)
On Twitter, the well-known analyst Daniel Ahmad commented on the unusual situation:

He assumes that the servers cannot be expanded quickly enough to accommodate the many new players, and therefore the only solution was to temporarily not allow new players to come in. His assumption is supported by the fact that the US servers of FFXIV had been so overcrowded in recent days that no new characters could be created.
This is the status of the servers: On reddit, players posted screenshots of the server status over the weekend. The US data centers were full, and creating new characters was impossible (via reddit). Earlier in July, FFXIV set a new player record on Steam, with around 48,000 players playing simultaneously on July 4, several thousand more than at the launch of the last major expansion, Shadowbringers. This trend seems to be continuing, and more and more new players are flocking to the MMORPG.
On Saturday, the game again broke its player record and for the first time had over 50,000 active players simultaneously. On Sunday, this record was broken again when over 58,000 players were online at the same time. That’s another 10,000 more than last week’s record and a full 17,000 more than at the launch of the last expansion (via SteamCharts)
We can only refer to the player numbers from Steam here. FFXIV also has its own launcher and an active community on PS4 and PS5. The actual player numbers are likely to be even higher.
There is currently no official statement from Square Enix regarding the sales stop. In response to an inquiry from PCGamer, they stated that they could not comment on the situation yet (via PCGamer). However, it is likely that the sale of new accounts was intentionally halted to respond to the influx of new players.
The Community Takes It With Humor
How do the players see the situation? The FFXIV community largely views the entire situation with a healthy dose of humor. Before the influx of players, it was a popular meme within the community to absurdly mention the game’s tagline often. The phrase “The critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV with an extended free trial up to level 60” was frequently mentioned on reddit and social media.
Now, players are laughing about the fact that it seems to have worked. User sparrows415 humorously writes (via Twitter):
Okay we have changed our minds. Please do NOT try the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV with an extended free trial up to level 60. There are too many of you.
Others are giving new players tips on character creation or are simply happy about fresh blood in the MMORPG:
User paintstream writes (via reddit): “A little tip for new players: Save your customized character during character creation. It makes it much easier to catch the login window at three in the morning!”
The same thread is joined by user deathbotly: “I just almost had a wipe in Sycrus. The old areas currently feel like Crazytown.”
In general, it can be said that the community in the game is pleased with the influx of new players. Older areas are being revitalized, and experienced players are happy to help newcomers. User HondaS2000AP1 writes on reddit that he has found a task in giving all newcomers 999 eggs. These provide a 3% experience bonus.
What about you? Can you understand the hype and are you fully on board, or do you view the situation more skeptically? What do you think of the decision to temporarily lock out new players? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
In recent days, a bug in The Division 2 has caused turmoil. Because the Marauder drones could cause players to be kicked from the game.
What was going on? Since July 10, there have been reports of a serious bug in The Division 2. Numerous players complained about being repeatedly kicked from the game.
The culprit was the nasty Marauder drones, which can appear in certain missions and also on the open map of The Division.
What kind of bug was it? As many players reported in the subreddit of The Division 2 and in the corresponding Ubisoft forum, the bug occurred whenever one fought against one of the large Marauder drones.
Apparently, it was sufficient to fire a few shots at the enemy. The bug could occur cross-platform and made some missions like the Pentagon unplayable, as such drones appear as bosses there.
Here you can see how this bug occurs multiple times in a row:

This is how those affected reacted: Numerous players discuss the bug on reddit, Twitter, and Facebook. It is reported on all platforms and so far it seems it has not yet been fixed.
Some, like irishorion, wonder how such an error can occur: “How is it possible for such things to happen when they shouldn’t actually affect the game? Are the bugs now sentient and evolving?” (via reddit)
Some players weren’t even aware that drones were the cause of delta errors, like brakerion: “Oh, so that’s why my three friends and I encountered a delta error about 48 times while playing the Pentagon mission last night.” (via reddit)
Is the bug still occurring? Developer Massive has responded and fixed the error today, on July 13, in a server maintenance. At least, that’s what the studio reports on the Twitter account for The Division 2:

Players were already fearing that TU12.1 could be the last update for The Division 2. Then publisher Ubisoft announced that the shooter would still be supported in 2021.
In the meantime, a free-to-play offshoot from the Division universe, The Division: Heartland, has been revealed. However, there is still only sparse information available.
From a gameplay leak, we know that it will have certain similarities to the survival mode from The Division 1. The shown material also reminded of the shooter Scavengers.
Ember Sword is a new MMORPG that recalls old classics like Ultima Online and RuneScape. However, the technology is very modern, as the game relies on blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Now the so-called Land Rush starts in the game, where users can secure a place to build. However, this costs a lot of money and reminds some of Chronicles of Elyria.
What kind of game is it? Ember Sword is a sandbox MMORPG in development, where you enjoy the freedom to chart your own course in the colorful game world:
It is played in ISO perspective, and the world features a very colorful graphic style
There are no classes; players develop through various skills
Crafting plays an important role
The economy of the game world is driven by the players
There will be PvP in the open world
Ember Sword is set to be Free2Play and will completely forgo loot boxes and pay-to-win. Instead, it aims to enable players to truly own an item through blockchain. The cosmetic aspect can then be sold to other players through their own shop.
What is the Land Rush about? An important aspect of the new MMORPG is owning land. There you can build a house or establish a shop where you sell things.
This land is now being sold for sometimes extremely high amounts of cryptocurrency and under time pressure. Meanwhile, the release of the game is still not in sight. The game is currently said to be in a pre-alpha stage.
High amounts and good reasons for plots
What does a plot cost in Ember Sword? Ember Sword offers plots in several variations:
A regular plot costs about 32.30 Euros – There are 5,657 of these
A settlement plot costs about 323 Euros – There are 223 of these
4 city plots in a package cost about 6,750 Euros – There are 14 of these
16 city plots in a package cost about 67,500 Euros – There are 4 of these
These plot prices are already the reduced version, as the Land Rush is currently on sale. Normally, the price is supposed to be double, up to 135,000 dollars.
However, these plots are not paid for in regular currency and via bank transfer or PayPal, but in the cryptocurrency USDC. This currency is pegged to the dollar exchange rate and is considered a “stable cryptocurrency” that is supposed to enable fee-free trading.
It is also noticeable that you have to fill out an application form if you want to buy one of the plots. In it, you have to explain why you want to become the owner of such a plot. Only after confirmation by the developers is the purchase then possible.
Why should one buy a plot? According to the developers, plot owners will participate in 50% of the sales taxes in the respective areas.
If someone buys items worth 100 Euros in the shop, it is said that 7% shop fees will be charged, that is, 7 Euros. 3.50 Euros of this go to the developers, 3.50 Euros to plot owners, with a further division for global owners and the direct landowner, as this image explains:
This is how earnings through land ownership work.
You can read the complete math behind this system in a blog post (via Ember Sword).
How long does the Land Rush run? It will still run until July 31. On August 16, interested parties will learn whether they can actually buy their plot.
The best MMORPGs 2021 – What’s coming, what’s new?
Those who invest in an MMORPG in advance can lose a lot
What should one consider with such purchase actions? There are recurring MMORPGs that finance themselves through crowdfunding before release, whether through Kickstarter or through the sale of virtual items that do not even exist yet. But this does not always end well, and there is a risk of losing all your money.
However, in 2020 the CEO first announced the end for the MMORPG and fired all employees. However, when players demanded their money back, he backtracked and said that he now wanted to finish the game alone. You can learn more about the story here:
The many blood points in Dead by Daylight highlight problems. Because after the event, the game could lose significance.
Currently, the celebrations for the 5th birthday of the horror game Dead by Daylight are taking place. The event has even been extended due to many players requesting it. This shows, on the one hand, how well the event is received – but on the other hand, how necessary a revision of the grind in the game is.
What’s happening in Dead by Daylight right now? Players are currently earning plenty of blood points in Dead by Daylight. This is the currency needed to level up characters and unlock perks, offerings, and add-ons – all things that allow survivors and killers to operate more effectively in matches. It can take many days to build a solid base of perks. This is why the event is so popular, as you can earn up to 525% more blood points and make the annoying grind really pleasant.
Exactly this event has now been extended again. Initially, the event was supposed to end on July 14, but the developers have extended it to July 22.
It’s raining blood points – many are taking advantage of this.
Players demand: ‘This should always be the case’
Grind has been criticized for years: The massive grind in Dead by Daylight deters many players and poses a significant hurdle for newcomers. Anyone who wants to equip a character with solid perks has to invest dozens or hundreds of hours into the game for the perks to be available for the character they want to play. A character must essentially be “maxed out” for its perks to be available to other characters.
The amount of blood points we are currently getting should be the norm, to be honest.
This single comment has received over 1,250 upvotes, as have many of the reactions to it.
For instance, “Sectrosempre” says:
I have no idea how I ever leveled a [character] before this event.
Players are getting used to the blood points: By now, players are getting used to this event and the many blood points that come with it. This makes Dead by Daylight significantly less attractive outside of the event, which in turn highlights the problems with the grind system even more.
It’s time for Dead by Daylight to address this problem permanently. The events and the necessity of them clearly show that the current grind is barely bearable. Veterans with thousands of hours of gameplay can overlook this, but newcomers are faced with huge obstacles.
Because such comments are also becoming increasingly common, like the one from DylonL4:
The game is going to feel so bad when the event is over… then [I’ll] probably not use add-ons again.
More updates on Dead by Daylight on MeinMMO can be found here:
Whether the developers will learn their lessons from this whole situation remains to be seen over the next year. Because usually, the team of Dead by Daylight (unfortunately) takes quite a while to implement actually simple wishes from the community.
Are you having fun with the current event? Are you playing more than usual? And will you continue to play after the event?

FIFA 22 aims to offer a new level of realism this year. However, a clip is currently being discussed in the community that doesn’t quite reflect this next step from the players’ perspective.
What is it about? On July 11, FIFA 22 was officially revealed with a new trailer. The trailer primarily focused on a new feature: HyperMotion, which aims to elevate realism on the pitch with over 4,000 new animations.
The combination of motion capturing and machine learning is intended to create a player experience that is closer to real football. Furthermore, EA announced an improved AI that will give all players on the field greater intelligence and ensure more tactical realism.
The official EA Sports website currently showcases a list of features that highlights these elements of FIFA 22. It also includes a clip on “Authentic Movements” – which seems to not convince some fans yet.
Short clip sparks discussion
This is the clip: In the FIFA subreddit, players are currently analyzing the clip from the official website. The post is titled: “The only FIFA 22 gameplay EA has shown shows ‘authentic team movements’, but not a single person moves like a real player” (via reddit).

According to the user “noah_whit3”, this clip is from the feature page but has been slowed down, as it was only three seconds long. He criticizes: “The player with the ball seems to get into a dangerous position near the goal behind the defender, but everyone else is just shuffling across the field and no one is moving quickly to get into a better offensive or defensive position” (via reddit).
Under the post, the behavior of the players on the field is being strongly criticized, and players are now discussing the feature:
“They shuffle sideways like crabs,” says user “marren12” (via reddit).
“Somehow frustrating that their new big feature is this hyper motion thing that you’ll never notice. They should do the trailer about the new career mode with your own team, which is much more interesting,” says another user (via reddit). This feature has also been announced and was well received.
“It’s definitely worrisome. On one hand, they are now moving more like a team. On the other hand, there are still some significant positioning issues in this short clip. Once again, the defensive midfielders are not doing their job. The defense might be okay depending on the tactic,” says another user (via reddit).
How much does the clip show? In fact, the behavior of some players with the side-steps looks quite curious. A (good) defense in real football would probably not behave this way when an outside player threatens to break through the defensive line. Especially the midfielders are relatively inactive here.
At the same time, the duel at the top of the image between the ball-carrying attacker and the two defenders looks quite intense. This movement is more reminiscent of real football.
Moreover, the defensive line consistently shifts back and does not suddenly scatter in all directions to cover opponents. This also appears quite realistic.
It should be noted that this is ultimately a three-second clip that provides little insight into the entire feature. How intensely HyperMotion will be felt in the game will likely only become clear at a later date – when a beta, tests, or possibly a demo is released.
However, the release date of FIFA 22 is now known, along with many different contents that can be expected. All of this can be found in our overview of the FIFA 22 release.

On July 9, Swords of Legends Online (SOLO) was released on Steam, Epic, and the Gameforge Launcher. Although the release went exceptionally well and the new MMORPG is receiving predominantly positive reviews, there isn’t much buzz around the game.
What’s going on? Swords of Legends is a new theme park MMORPG that was released in China in 2019 and is now being brought to the West by Gameforge. It features a traditional story between good and evil, offers various PvE and PvP content, and stands out primarily with its graphics and combat system.
The launch on July 9 went surprisingly smoothly for European players. We at MeinMMO had actually prepared for server issues and an appropriate live ticker for the release, which turned out to be unnecessary because there were lags due to the high number of players throughout the day, but never a server crash. In NA, there were a few issues, but these were resolved with a fix.
This was also praised in the first Steam reviews. The user Sera writes, for example, (via Steam): “After more than 20 years of MMORPG experience, I must say that this has been the best launch of a game I have ever experienced.”
How is SOLO doing right now? Although the release was just a few days ago, there is surprisingly little buzz surrounding the new MMORPG. However, it is performing rather well.
SOLO peaked at 18,701 players on Steam on July 12 (via SteamCharts). It ranks on Valve’s platform above games like SWTOR, Albion Online, or RuneScape. Additionally, there are players using the Gameforge client and those on Epic, meaning the total player count is higher.
Combat system, graphics, and shop are top-notch, quests and translations are a flop
What do the first reviews say about SOLO? Many users on Steam praise the game for its traditional approach as a theme park MMORPG that comes without sandbox and pay-to-win aspects:
Jagerdelights writes (via Steam): “I like the game so far. I am currently level 23, but everything feels like a traditional MMO. Complete quests in a specific area and move on to the next. From what I see, the game focuses mainly on dungeons and raids in the endgame. People also praise it for not being pay-to-win. So far, I only see cosmetics in the shop.”
Hex Girl would recommend the game to all MMORPG fans even now (via Steam): “Amazing Game. I still need to experience the endgame content, but everything I’ve played so far has been great. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone looking for a new MMORPG to spend their time on, whether casual or hardcore.”
Assblaster69 has only the performance as a criticism after 46 hours of gameplay (via Steam): “Probably the best MMO I’ve ever played. Not a single pay-to-win aspect or advantage for real money. PvP is fun, and PvE is as well. The only downside is poor performance in some populated areas, but it’s not game-breaking, at least not for me…”
The user AkiLLez doesn’t label the new MMORPG as perfect in his detailed review but exactly describes it as the fresh wind he needed (via Steam):
Is it perfect? No. But it is a fresh breeze for someone like me who loves MMORPGs. I have exclusively played WoW for a long time, and like many others, I’ve recently felt burnt out and in search of something new.
I will start with the positives: There seems to be no pay-to-win content. The graphics and scenery of the world are fantastic. The combat system is fluid and flexible, and there are tons of quests […]. The only negative I notice is that in large areas and big cities, it can be a bit laggy […].
I really enjoy this game and am glad I bought it. It’s nice to know I have something aside from WoW to play and enjoy.

What are critical voices saying? The negative reviews are primarily concerned about missing translations, weak introductions, and sometimes the general setting of the game:
CLdumbAS sees the game as mostly neutral but gives a negative review in the end due to three things (via Steam): “1. The translation/localization is poor […]. 2. the abilities are somewhat interesting, but the descriptions are nearly useless […]. 3. The story is generic, unfocused, and hard to follow…”
The user Boom SwagZ struggles primarily with the introduction (via Steam): “Currently, I am level 22 and the game is giving me headaches. My current experience is: It’s poorly optimized, some translations in the menus make no sense, and it has an extremely poor questing system that sometimes shows quest objectives and sometimes does not […]. I will continue playing since I’ve already sunk so many hours into it and I can’t return it now. I’ll see if this ‘endgame’ is really worth it.”
The user Astorolus writes (via Steam): “The combat system has potential, but the story, the poor character customization (everyone looks like they are just 18?) and the very linear story turn me off. The maps are very linearly designed to go from point A to point B. It requires no imagination; it’s a no-brainer game, a massive single-player action game.”
Some negative reviews also point out that there are no western servers in America, that the game is cheaper on other platforms than Steam, and that the support currently responds very slowly.
On Thursday, July 15, the Mid-Season Update for Call of Duty: Warzone will start and bring some new features to the game. Included is a new killstreak, a regular event, and a completely new mode. MeinMMO shows you the roadmap and all known details.
What’s going on in Warzone? Half of Season 4 is over, and on July 15, Call of Duty: Warzone will enter the second round with the “Season Four Reloaded” update. Now, an updated roadmap for the so-called Mid-Season Update is online and shows the planned innovations for Warzone:
Killstreak: Automated turret
Mode: Payload mode with 2 teams
Event: Blueprint Blitz lets you hunt cosmetics
Weapons: Submachine gun OTs 9 and melee weapon “Bat”
MeinMMO explains the individual announcements and shows the download schedule. We embed the new roadmap here for you:
Information about the Mid-Season Update – Download & Pre-Load
When will the Mid-Season Update be released? The content will be unlocked on July 15. The blog post about the Mid-Season Update remains somewhat vague (via callofduty.com). A release around 9 AM is possible, but it could also be in the evening around 6 or 7 PM.
Is there a Pre-Load? The developers announce a pre-load that should start in our time zone at 6 AM on July 15. However, the Warzone pre-loads have been rather unreliable lately – some players could start the download, others could not. We will keep you updated at MeinMMO.
What is the size of the update? The developers have also published information about the download sizes:
Warzone Mid-Season Update
PlayStation 5: 8.9 GB
PlayStation 4: 8.9 GB
Xbox Series X / Xbox Series S: 9.2 GB
Xbox One: 9.2 GB
PC: 9.2 GB / 10.4 GB (with Modern Warfare)
Content of the Mid-Season in CoD Warzone
What kind of new killstreak is this? Warzone is getting an automated turret. With the new killstreak, you set up a turret that fires at enemies within range. The turret operates at an angle of nearly 180° and lasts about a minute before disappearing with a harmless explosion.
An exciting killstreak that brings new tactical possibilities to the game. However, the turret is part of the rare loot, and after the release, you can only find the killstreak in the loot rooms of the “Red Door” system.
What can the new mode do? With the “Payload” mode, a vehicle mode is coming back to the game. Two teams of 20 players each compete against each other and aim to either destroy the payload vehicles or escort them to their destination. Respawns are not limited, and you have your loadouts available from the start.
The developers cite the “War” mode from CoD: WWII as inspiration, the CoD from 2017. Back then, there was an attacking and a defending team, and the attackers had to capture checkpoints and advance step by step. Payload is also supposed to work with checkpoints – the attackers need to deliver multiple vehicles to the checkpoints on the map while the defenders block their way.
What is “Blueprint Blitz”? These are small events, similar to the Double XP events, that run for a limited time and introduce a little twist to the game. When a “Blueprint Blitz” event runs, a smuggling task spawns after every 2nd completed assignment during a match.
With the smuggling task, you can secure a lot of cash for your match, but also snag weapon skins. The special thing during the Blitz event: The smuggling tasks also deliver weapon skins from previous seasons. If you missed a weapon skin from the smuggling tasks, you will get a chance to get the weapon skin during the events.
When the first “Blueprint Blitz” event will take place is still unknown.
What are the new weapons? Two new weapons are coming to the game during the Mid-Season: the submachine gun OTs 9 and the melee weapon Bat. According to the description in the blog, the OTs 9 could become an alternative to the Bullfrog, with smaller magazines but a higher rate of fire. The strong headshots of the Bullfrog are also said to be taken by the OTs 9.
The Bat is another brutal melee alternative for the Warzone. In multiplayer, the metal club is supposed to eliminate your enemies with a single hit and resembles a baseball bat. Similar to the baseball bat, the Bat is expected to make its way into Warzone during the Mid-Season.
What else is there to know? Besides the specific announcements, the developers hint at changes for the “Red Doors” – but remain vague. As with the presentation at the season start, there is only a short text with redacted sections:
“Brave operators have walked through the Red Doors across Verdansk and entered unknown areas… New information suggests that these red doors [[ANONYMIZED]] will appear and take you to [[ANONYMIZED]]. Since there are still many Perseus sleeper cells in Verdansk, we warn you of [[ANONYMIZED]].”
Thus, there could be new locations for the red doors, and something might have changed at the destination point as well. However, we will probably only find out what the changes look like after the release.
Warzone is moving at a significantly faster pace in year 2 than last year and continues to show commitment with the Mid-Season Update. However, the best content can hardly conceal the current biggest problem in Warzone: the flood of cheaters.
In Destiny 2, legendary weapons reveal the future, speaking of death and destruction. What is Bungie hiding before our eyes and what role does the nasty witch Savathûn play in this?
Which weapons are involved? For half a year, Bungie has been spoiling the story of Destiny 2 right before our eyes in the game. 2 legendary weapons reveal much about the future. MeinMMO takes a closer look at the messages.
These are the sniper rifle “Far Future” from the past Season 13 and the submachine gun “Stochastic Variable” from the current Season 14.
As befits a true oracle, the messages from the future are of course cryptic. In addition, it seems that the predictions are not entirely in agreement, and we are presented with multiple parallel futures. The Guardian Hurrystorm was one of the first to discover and organize the secret messages from the future (via reddit).
Potential spoilers for the story of the current Season 14 and even beyond follow, you have been warned.
Legendary weapons are already spoiling the story of Destiny 2
What do the guns reveal? The two weapons report visions that Lakshmi (xenophobic robot woman and leader of the future war cult) and Ixel (Cabal assassin and Guardian killer) have. Both can look into the future thanks to Vex technology.
Surprisingly many prophecies revolve around the attack on the Last City.
The attack is likely to take place in the Botza District. This is where the Fallen refugees from Mithrax reside – we also know this area from the raid “Scourge of the Past”.
There is a high probability that the attack will actually happen soon – at the latest on August 10. Here, the Season 14 roadmap indicates an “Epilogue”.
In general, the Tower is taking damage, humanity mourns, and chaos reigns on the streets.
Guardians have long speculated that we should expect an attack soon. Lakshmi does not tire of warning us about the attack and inciting hatred against the fleeing Fallen. However, the future varies; in some prophecies, the Vex are named as attackers from a portal – this matches a promotional image of Season 14 that Bungie itself released.
Who dies? According to the prophecies, Zavala is as good as dead: “Funeral procession: Zavala dies: Zavala dies: Zavala dies” is probably the clearest prophecy, ending with the Witch Queen fleeing and wondering how “they came in”. But it should also be said that “Zavala is gone”.
The Vex march into the Last City
That Zavala will likely not die during the current Season 14 has already been confirmed by leaked lore texts from Triumphs in-game. However, the prophecies of the weapons could refer to a more distant future. The lore text of Far Future dates back to February 2021 and speaks of events that will occur in August 2021.
Is a witch lying to our face?
Here are some curious predictions:
Asher Mir is making a comeback. Strange, because the always grumpy scientist died when the Darkness fell.
From radioactive dust, the Darkness rises – is our enemy simply throwing an atomic bomb to eliminate all Guardians?
The future war cult, of which Lakshmi is the head, flees, and Ikora triumphs over it. The two ladies seem to have a strong dislike for each other.
You can read the complete lore text of both weapons here. Just click on the “+” symbol to read the prophecies:

And what about Savathûn? It is almost confirmed that Savathûn has turned Osiris upside down – or taken on his form. The once powerful Osiris seems to be missing at the end of Season 14. The Guardians and a mourning Saint-14 are on the hunt for the Warlock.
That the Witch Queen Savathûn is hiding before our eyes in the Last City, we could have known since Season 13. The prophecies are not entirely in agreement: they speak of her “new Hive rejoicing”, but also that the witch flees (presumably in the form of Osiris?).
However, it should be noted that Savathûn could have manipulated the visions of the future thanks to the corrupted Vex mind Quria. Manipulation and lies are, after all, her area of expertise. We will learn more on August 24. For this date, Bungie has announced the most important stream of the year for all Guardians and the new Season 15 starts.
What do you think about the future of Destiny 2? Do you find it clever that Bungie hides such messages in weapon texts, or do you not care about the story and just want to shoot with weapons? Let us know in the comments.
The Twitch streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, popularized by Fortnite, will be a playable character in the action RPG Raid: Shadow Legends (Mobile, PC). From what we know, he has never played the game before. But he is now “really excited” to have this opportunity, he says.
In recent years, Ninja has become quieter: He switched to Mixer for a lot of money, then returned to Twitch when Microsoft’s platform dissolved. Now, Ninja is a relatively normal streamer, who plays LoL somewhat decently: His massive popularity has mainly resulted in massive social media accounts still being active.
The game “Raid: Shadow Legends” is known for running a lot of advertisements and paying streamers large sums to promote it. They apparently struck a deal with Ninja: He will appear as a playable hero in “RAID”.
Raid: Shadow Legends is known for paying influencers for advertising
What is Raid: Shadow Legends? It is a “freemium mobile” game that was released in 2018 for iOS and Android, and received a PC version in 2020. The game is a fantasy RPG.
Raid: Shadow Legends is so well-known for hiring streamers and YouTubers to advertise the game that it has become a meme.
There are numerous images that mock this “sponsor frenzy” of Raid: Shadow Legends:
When big streamers like Asmongold talk about being offered $300,000 to showcase a game live on Twitch for a few hours, it is generally assumed that Raid: Shadow Legends is behind it.
The figure has a katana and a bow, but also wings.
This is how Ninja sees himself.
Ninja has this thing going with “my skin in the game”
This is remarkable: It is not known that Ninja has played the game prior. It is obviously a marketing deal. Ninja is surely getting paid handsomely for this appearance. It is also apparently agreed that he will showcase Raid: Shadow Legends to his fans on Twitch as part of this deal.
When he finally got the skin, it was, from his perspective, way too late: The hype was already gone, and Epic had missed the chance to earn a lot of money with him and the company.
Apparently, Ninja has now seized this opportunity to “make a lot of money with a skin” after all. Even if it is somehow different than he thought back then:
YouTube is full of advertisements for the game. Either the ads are normally placed or a YouTuber, who discusses any topic, suddenly interrupts his video to tell you how urgently you need to play Raid: Shadow Legends.
This is what is happening now with Ninja: The streamer Ninja will be a playable hero in Raid: Shadow Legends.
The marketing chief of the company behind the game is excited about this coup: Ninja is a “fantastic addition” to the champions because he has such a “positive influence on the gaming industry”.
Ninja has his own unique skill set and a special attack. With the new character, he will also explore RAID and bring his fans along.
The character is supposed to come to the game for free, but only for three months – after that, he will no longer be available. Ninja will be available starting July 16.
This is what Ninja says: He says he is “really excited to show his champion to the fans of RAID, who has been designed the way Ninja sees himself in a game. He loves the RPG genre and seeing himself as a fantasy character with special skills is fantastic.”
For those who have always wanted to know how Ninja sees himself: The character is apparently inspired by the Final Fantasy villain Sephiroth.
The figure has a katana and a bow, but also wings.
This is how Ninja sees himself.

CoD Warzone will receive a completely new game mode called Payload with the upcoming update “Season 4 Reloaded”. Find out what makes this mode special and how it differs from the usual Battle Royale here.
In this mode, two teams of 20 players each fight over a convoy of trucks.
But unlike the previously available mode Tank Royale, not every team has a truck; it’s about an entire convoy.
20vs20 with trucks – Here’s how Payload works
How does Payload work? In the new Payload mode, it’s not about the classic final victory in Battle Royale, where only one player or team remains.
Instead, depending on the team, you have a fixed objective: The attackers need to destroy the trucks, while the defenders must protect them and guide them to the target area.
On the way to the target, the trucks rumble comfortably through the Warzone, stopping regularly at checkpoints. Anyone familiar with games like Overwatch or Paladins should be familiar with the gameplay principle of Payload.
Players have respawns, but must parachute in from the air each time and gather equipment. Additionally, attackers can not only buy weapons and gear but also set up special obstacles for the convoy, creating deadly ambushes.
What other innovations are coming? In addition to the new game mode Payload, Season 4 Reloaded will also introduce a new SMG called OTs 9. It has a 20-round magazine, which it quickly fires. Additionally, there’s a heavy steel club as a deadly melee weapon.
Furthermore, you can look forward to an automated turret as an additional killstreak.
All these goodies will come to the Warzone on July 15, 2021, as part of the big mid-season update. However, those who prefer grim figures in Berlin will be delighted about the Zombies update “Mauer der Toten”.

In Pokémon GO, Shiny Corasonn is set to be released soon as part of a new event. However, the release will likely take a bit longer.
What is it about? Pokémon GO announced an event called “Pokémon Air Adventures” back in June, which was supposed to start on July 22. As part of this event, two special Pokémon were to be released.
The shiny form of Corasonn
A new summer Pikachu
The special thing about it: Both monsters are limited to certain regions. Corasonn is generally a regional Pokémon that can be found near the equator – such as in South Florida, Latin America, South Asia, Northern Australia, or the Canary Islands.
The special Pikachu wearing an “Okinawa Kariyushi Shirt” is said to be catchable in Okinawa, Japan. It is expected to appear there for a year – according to the announcement, so that trainers have time to catch it once travel is possible again (via Pokémon GO Live). Generally, the “Air Adventures” initiative is said to be “launched to create wonderful travel memories. We hope this rekindles the joy of traveling for many people once travel is possible again,” states the original announcement.
Postponed indefinitely
What is changing now: As announced on Twitter, the “Air Adventures” initiative and thus the release of Shiny Corasonn and Okinawa Shirt Pikachu has been put on hold for the time being.

“Due to recent developments, we will be postponing the Pokémon Air Adventures that were set to start on Thursday, July 22,” according to the official announcement: “We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. We will share more information as soon as the details are finalized.”
No detailed explanation is provided, and there is no new date for the event. However, it is conceivable that rising case numbers in Japan may have played a role in the decision. For instance, a renewed state of emergency was recently declared in Tokyo, and attendance at the Olympic Games has also been limited (via Tagesschau).
How the community is reacting: Already at the announcement of the event, there was criticism from some trainers that the event would favor spoofers – after all, both bonus Pokémon are behind regional boundaries. However, the postponement has generally been met with positive reactions:
“For once, they did something right,” finds user “dabomerest” (via reddit).
“Who could have seen that coming,” comments user “Alpha Rocker” (via reddit).
“At least it’s nice to know that someone at Niantic has noticed that the pandemic is not over yet,” comments user “wilbertfire” (via reddit).
At the same time, there are comments on Twitter and Reddit that Niantic might reconsider the reduction of home bonuses from the last months. Also in June, Niantic announced that it wanted to revert things like the increased interaction rates at stops and gyms – and faced criticism for that.
What do you think about the topic? Share your thoughts with other trainers here on MeinMMO in the comments!

CoD Warzone has a new, nasty glitch. It allows players to break into the Gulag and mix up opponents while being invulnerable. A streamer discovered the glitch and wants to ensure it gets fixed soon.
What does the glitch do? In Call of Duty: Warzone, the Gulag is a welcome last chance for eliminated players to jump back into the ongoing round. In the Gulag, a 1vs1 fight must be won to re-enter the game.
However, a glitch allows players to somehow glide into the Gulag with a parachute and unexpectedly appear there. Worse yet: After landing in the Gulag, one is invulnerable and can brutally beat the helpless opponent to death with bare fists. No defense helps, one is completely defenseless against the opponent.

Who discovered the glitch? YouTuber NTrippy discovered the glitch and recorded it in a video. He demonstrates how he appears in the Gulag and beats a helpless opponent to death. However, he visibly feels sorry for it and apologizes for his misdeed.
Is the glitch reproducible? Apparently, this glitch can be reliably recreated, but NTrippy removed this section from the video on YouTube. He doesn’t want to gain unfair advantages, but instead wants to alert the developers, as he says at the end of the video.
Since it apparently works reliably, nasty exploiters will probably find it out soon and torment innocent Gulag inmates. If you happen to discover the glitch, please do not use it and do not try to reproduce it. It is unfair and could lead to a ban.
Do you farm rare enemies in Korthia, the new area in World of Warcraft? Then you urgently need the Silver Shardhide Whistle. We will show you where to find it.
In the area Korthia, the new small zone from Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination, there is much to do. Especially the numerous rare enemies (Rare Spawns) are highly sought after. After all, they drop some really good loot. This includes not only armor but also a lot of Anima, resources for the Archivist, toys, and mounts. However, getting to a rare enemy right after it spawns is difficult. But there is an item that helps you immensely.
What kind of item is it? It’s the Silver Shardhide Whistle. It is a toy, meaning it doesn’t take up inventory space. When used, it summons a Shardhide for 2 minutes that you can ride. The catch: For the first 20 seconds, the Shardhide boosts you to a speed of a whopping 410%! This allows you to cover great distances in a matter of moments.
With this toy, you zoom through the Maw and Korthia.
After the 20 seconds are up, you can continue riding the Shardhide, but your movement speed will be slowed down. You should then remove the buff and switch back to a normal mount.
How to get the toy “Silver Shardhide Whistle”
How do you find the Silver Shardhide Whistle? The Silver Shardhide Whistle requires only a few minutes of effort and there are no difficult prerequisites to get it. Just head to Korthia at the coordinates 47 / 29. When you look at the tree, you will see a purple glowing nest at the top. That is the treasure.
To get the treasure from the tree, you need to use a trick. Look around the area. In several spots, you should see a bit of sparkle, where you can pick up a “Toxic Moth.”
With the moth, you gain a new ability for 5 minutes, but you can only use it once. You can temporarily tame one of the Shardhides to ride it. However, the following applies:
The Shardhide must not be in combat with anyone, so you need to use the moth from a distance.
The ride breaks if the Shardhide is attacked. So clear the area around the tree generously.
Tame a Shardhide now and ride it directly against the tree! This will cause the treasure to fall to the ground and you can loot it, which will immediately grant you the Silver Shardhide Whistle.
You will love this whistle.
If the attempt fails, don’t worry. You can find the moth again almost immediately. It will be located in a different spot in the area.
What does this help with? The massive speed boost for 20 seconds is enough to traverse nearly half of Korthia. The speed is on par with that of a flying mount – which are not allowed in Korthia. If you often find yourself arriving just a few seconds late to a rare enemy, you should definitely secure the whistle. After just a few days, you won’t want to do without it.
Are you still busy in Korthia? Or have you already done and collected everything that interested you there?

Manufacturer Roccat presents its new USB microphone “Torch”. MeinMMO has taken a look at the microphone and also shows you which other microphones are available on the market.
Roccat has introduced a new USB microphone with the “Torch”. The device costs €99.99 and is set to be released in August 2021.
MeinMMO has taken a closer look at the new microphone and compares what other microphones you can get for 100 Euros. Because with Razer and Logitech, there is already notable competition that also offers microphones for gamers.
Roccat wants to impress gamers with a USB microphone packed with features
What does the microphone offer? Roccat has also presented the new microphone in detail.
RGB lighting and a gesture control that allows you to mute the microphone, for example.
In addition, the device is supposed to be compatible with all microphone arms.
On the back, there is also a 3.5mm headphone jack through which you can check your voice recording. The microphone offers you three different pickup patterns that you can use for recording.
Cardioid is primarily designed as a setting for gaming and streaming.
Stereo is intended for voices and instruments.
The whisper mode is aimed at people who speak softly or whisper. This mode is supposed to be exclusive to Roccat.
Who is the microphone suitable for? With the Torch, Roccat aims to provide a microphone for all gamers, as the device is supposed to be easy to use and you can individually adjust the microphone to your voice. According to Roccat, the microphone was “developed for gamers, streamers, and aspiring content creators”.
Are there already first tests? Since the device will not be released until August 2021, there are currently no statements on how good the microphone is. Since this is Roccat’s first USB microphone, we cannot draw any conclusions from other products either. So you’ll have to wait until August.
You can also take a look at the microphone in the official trailer that we have embedded here for you:

What technology does the microphone use? Roccat uses a USB microphone with condenser technology here. This technology normally ensures that sound is captured clearly and naturally. USB microphones are also often inexpensive and easy to use, making them suitable for podcasts, Twitch, or YouTube.
Condenser microphones are susceptible to background noise, but they pick up even quiet sound waves or noises very precisely. The downside is that you need a very quiet environment, and USB can cause a slight background noise.
What does the device cost and when can you buy it? The microphone will be available from August 15, 2021. You can already order it now for €99.99 from Roccat itself or various retailers.
Roccat already faces strong competition from Logitech and Razer
What does the competition offer? If you don’t want to spend more than 100 Euros for a microphone, there are already some good products available. Because in addition to Roccat, there are Razer, Logitech, and HyperX, who also offer their microphones:
Razer’s Seiren X is very compact, easy to use, and delivers good build quality. For just under 100 Euros, you get a solid overall package here.
Logitech’s Yeti Nano is priced at around €110, barely above, and is the little brother of the Yeti X. The device offers you good recording quality and decent build.
The HyperX Solocast costs around €80 and provides your listeners with decent voice quality. With plug-and-play, the device is set up quickly.
Additionally, you can find more microphones and gaming headsets in our extensive buying guide here on MeinMMO. Here we also explain what to look for when buying a microphone or headset:
The Twitch streamer Trainwreck has warned his viewers against engaging in gambling or investing in cryptocurrency. Yet he himself took risks and rejected any interference: After some bad rounds off-stream, he has now lost 2 million USD and is doing what he advises others not to: He is chasing after the money.
While he was gambling on-stream, he warned his viewers against starting gambling or investing in cryptocurrencies. That’s terrible. You can only afford that if you have sponsors or “streamer money.”
As he now says, he has lost 2 million USD in the last few days and is in a situation where he is chasing after his losses.
The US stars of Twitch are in a gambling frenzy
This is the backstory: After the “gambling trend” in Germany has faded due to new laws and even MontanaBlack and Knossi have distanced themselves from gambling on Twitch, the trend has fully taken hold of the American Twitch for a few weeks now.
However, one of the biggest gamers who is now regularly gambling is Trainwreck, and he is not deterred by such requests and appeals.
Pokimane criticizes gambling on Twitch. She advises streamers to invest their money in solid index funds instead.
“Hey, I’m not your mama or your papa”
This is Trainwreck’s stance on gambling: We reported in May that Trainwreck explained to his viewers that he had lost 8 million dollars during the cryptocurrency crash. A viewer pleaded with him to stop gambling. But Trainwreck said he has enough money and does not let anyone dictate what he should or should not do. He forbids any interference in his life – especially from people without money.
Like xQc, Trainwreck has a schizophrenic attitude towards gambling: He warns his viewers never to engage in “gambling” while he himself is gambling on Twitch and emotionally reacting to every win and loss. Viewers should also not invest in cryptocurrencies, even though he likes to boast about how much money he has made with successful investments.
„Any money you bet on crypto or gambling should be considered lost. If you handle the money as if it’s already gone, then hey: I’m not your mama or your papa. But don’t put in money that you need!”
Trainwreck
He told his fans: He is allowed to gamble because he has “streamer money,” but he advises against it for anyone under 30,000 subs and without a hefty sponsor. People should believe him (via dexerto).
Streamer humor: Gambling is absolutely terrible. Now that this is said: I am going to get all my money back from the one-armed bandit.
“Chasing” means that one is in such desperate need of a win that one takes reckless risks. This is actually a guarantee to lose even more money. Nevertheless, Trainwreck fully indulges in the thrill, as can be observed on Twitch.
Cheering ecstasy in the picture – warning words in the text
This is what it’s about: This is an unpleasant situation brewing. For when you watch the clips and see someone apparently effortlessly earning huge sums in seconds, it encourages imitation.
Trainwreck wins huge sums in popular clips. The many losses are not visible in such clips. However, he warns before such situations:

The mere appeal not to do it, which is not accompanied by any large images, has long been less effective than the streamer’s ecstasy over a big win.
But Trainwreck’s warning is true: streamers with sponsors who do not even gamble with their own money are in a completely different situation than their viewers.
They should not serve as role models.
The counterpart to gambling on Twitch are so-called “Gacha” systems in video games. These are also highly dangerous:
The new MMORPG Crowfall has recently launched, and hardly anyone has shown interest. The game initially built up a lot of hype, which diminished significantly after the first gameplay opportunities. We at MeinMMO are examining the community’s opinion after the launch.
What is Crowfall? The western MMORPG attracted a lot of attention at its announcement, as it shone with unique ideas. It is played in various matches that last a long time. Players climb the leaderboard and try to lead until the world is destroyed and they start over.
You have permanent progress between matches in the Eternal Kingdom, where you can also set up a house, among other things. This concept managed to gain many fans, but then the game fell quiet.
Why was Crowfall criticized? Crowfall was introduced in a Kickstarter campaign in 2015 and has therefore been in development for a long time. In the six years it took to release, many players and supporters have looked elsewhere.
But not only that was in Crowfall’s way, as the first reviews were sometimes devastating. The playable betas from last year felt very unfinished. The game did not run as smoothly as it should have given the development stage. This spread quickly, and anticipation for Crowfall continued to decline.
What happens now? The release of Crowfall took place in early July and although expectations were low, it seems that the game could actually deliver. The positive voices within the community are growing louder. However, not all of the game’s problems have of course been resolved and disappeared.
Crowfall places a strong focus on PvP gameplay. NPC opponents are clearly a secondary aspect here. Games that focus on player interaction need an active, good, and ideally large community.
In this video, the YouTuber Evengaming shows us about 17 minutes of PvP gameplay from Crowfall:

How big is the community? Crowfall currently does not have many players. Unfortunately, we do not have exact numbers for you, but the servers are not overly populated. As mentioned earlier, the game’s initial rise has flattened over the years, and for many, it has already been forgotten.
The rush at launch was therefore limited. However, gradually more and more people want to try out the game. Slowly but surely, the trend is spreading. Some want to see “if it’s really that bad,” while others simply want to get a personal impression.
It seems, however, that the player numbers are currently rising. Whether the trend remains depends on the developers, who now need to deliver the necessary game improvements before Crowfall falls into oblivion again.
What do the positive voices say? Looking around on reddit, more and more people are speaking out who are surprisingly positive about the game.
User Loot-Collector writes (via reddit): “Crowfall exceeds my expectations. […] After the release, I wanted to take a look for myself and have played for 12 hours until this morning, and had a good time. […] The fighting feels smooth, […] the game runs buttery smooth, […] it is aesthetically beautiful, offers a nice diversity of races and classes, and resource gathering is exciting”
User phillukin writes (via reddit): “the game completely blew me away. Character development feels as deep as in Diablo 2. There are so many builds and characters I want to try out.”
User pierce768 adds (via reddit): “especially in small groups, you can find really good fights and tactics. The teamwork makes the whole fighting feel less clunky and much more interesting”
A survey on reddit that over 1200 players participated in shows that the positive sentiment barely outweighs the negative. I voted here for Neutral, as I have not played it myself.
What do the negative voices say? Many players continue to be rather negative towards Crowfall. We want to reflect this opinion as well.
User HappySkidder writes (via reddit): “It looks fun, but it does not look like a 40€ game, and that’s my problem. I think it should cost more around 25-30€, balancing that with a cosmetic shop. A game that relies heavily on large battles with evenly matched opponents and many players playing for a long time is really asking for a lot with 40€.”
User IncreaseCompetitive has a problem with the combat system as a solo player and writes (via reddit): “I think the biggest problem I noticed is that it is just a gank-fest. Many players are out there in groups, hunting solo players. What made WvW in Guild Wars 2 so great, namely that a really good player could take out a group of worse players, is missing here. Here, a solo player is just gank fodder.”
Another major point is the combat system, which has been a recurring topic in the game’s betas and alphas. It feels clunky. Not bad, but also just not good or satisfying.
Editor Joseph Bradford has made a comparison (via mmorpg.com): “I don’t want to say the animations are bad – they’re not. I like how my Confessor jumps and spins when I cast fire. […], but the flow of gameplay just doesn’t come through as it should. I think back to when Black Desert SOnline recently released the Corsair. The animations flowed beautifully and seamlessly during combat that it was hard to believe it wasn’t a predefined rotation. This feedback is missing in Crowfall.”

There are the first official details about FIFA 22 and PC players are wondering what version they will receive this time. Will there be another last-gen version like last year? We will take a look at the clues and clarify what PC players might expect.
FIFA players who kick the virtual ball on PC were not thrilled last year when FIFA 21 did not receive a next-gen upgrade for PC at the release of the upgraded PS5 and Xbox Series versions. There were no graphic or gameplay changes for the PC version.
Here’s why the PC version might once again be a last-gen version
This is what we already know: Officially, EA has not yet commented on the PC version of FIFA 22. So far, we only know about the first trailer and a few details about gameplay and new features. EA is heavily promoting the new “HyperMotion technology,” which is supposed to massively change the gameplay exclusively on the next-gen versions of FIFA 22.
Whether these next-gen features will make it to the PC version is the question. There are initial indications pointing in a clear direction.
What are those indications? If you look at the official page for FIFA 22, you will discover product descriptions for the different FIFA versions in the pre-order section. It is noticeable that the text for the PC version is significantly shorter and does not mention the new top feature “HyperMotion” even once – unlike the console variants.
Here you can see the description of the PlayStation versions:

EA mentions the new “HyperMotion gameplay technology” for the PS5 version here. In the product description for the PC version, this point is missing. Here, it only speaks of “fundamental gameplay improvements”:

So will there be a trimmed-down version for PC? So far, there has been no official confirmation from EA that the PC version of FIFA 22 is supposed to offer fewer features than the next-gen versions. It could also be a mistake in the descriptions. However, it would not be unusual for the PC version of FIFA to be treated somewhat poorly. This has often been the case in recent years.
The PC version is not mentioned here either. (Source: EA)
What does EA say? We have requested a statement from EA. More information is expected to follow at a later date.
We remain curious and will keep you updated regarding the PC version of FIFA 22. On which platform do you play FIFA? Let us know in the comments!
