Update from November 9th: We have updated the research overview with the new chapters 15 and 16 for you. The new quests were added to the Festival of Lights in Pokémon GO. You can expect three new tasks and 6 rewards.
What kind of research is this? Coinciding with the start of the Season of Mischief in Pokémon GO, the special research with Hoopa begins at 10:00 AM local time on September 1st. This research will be supplemented with additional tasks in the weeks following its launch.
So far, only three of the tasks are known. However, we know that the special research with Hoopa will be huge. Because there are a total of 16 chapters, each likely containing three tasks. We will regularly update this article for you as new content becomes available.

There is excitement around a Twitch streamer in New World: He showed his guild of 50 people how to exploit a bug that brings significant advantages in PvP. The accusation is: The players have significantly strengthened themselves before a war. The streamer has poorly hidden what he is doing.
Which streamer is it about? The Twitch streamer is named “Gigameister”, he is a small streamer with 400 followers. When he streams, he has an average of 9 viewers. Gigameister streams in Portuguese and English.
Exploit provides 5% healing every 2.5 seconds
What are the accusations against him?
There is a bug in New World that allows players to stack a passive healing bonus. The exploit has been detailed in the New World public forum for over two weeks: The bug causes you to use 5 specific foods that regenerate 1 % health every 2.5 seconds. Because the effects can stack, you achieve 5 % healing every 2.5 seconds (forum.newworld).
The streamer has explained this bug to his entire guild, as seen in YouTube videos (via youtube). He then asked the members before the war to use the food.
The streamer also allegedly tried to cover up this fraud. He did not handle it well.
There are still certain details about the cheat that we do not reveal on MeinMMO so that no one replicates it. The problem: In New World, all details on how to cheat are visible as bug reports in the official forum and visible to everyone:
What did the streamer do to cover up the exploit? As a user on reddit points out, Gigameister placed a Discord link in his stream in such a way that it lies above the bar with the buff icons (via reddit).
He allegedly banned everyone in the Twitch chat who pointed out what was going on.
Furthermore, members of his guild are said to have also streamed while exploiting the bug, and he himself allegedly got caught fiddling with his hotbar.

Update 18.11.:This is what the streamer says about the accusations:
In a statement forwarded to us on MeinMMO by a German acquaintance of Gigameister, it says: The streamer does not admit to using the exploit. All presented evidence is contested and defamatory.
One should wait until Amazon decides who from both sides is involved in the war and has exploited the “so-called exploit”.
The acquaintance also stated that Gigameister is not involved in using the exploit. The explanations on how the exploit works exactly were given to the guild by the acquaintance.
“Creative exploitation of game mechanics”
What is the problem? The problem is that such “exploits” in New World are apparently so widespread that they genuinely disturb the integrity of the game.
It creates the feeling: “The honest one is the stupid one”.
When people publicly show on Twitch how they cheat, further lines are crossed and shifted. Exploiting bugs becomes normal, and many have a problem with it.
In discussions, other users say they have experienced opponents using such exploits and addressed them. However, they have said: It’s not an exploit, it’s a “creative exploitation of gameplay mechanics.”
We recently reported on a Twitch streamer in New World who had trouble:

What kind of game is this? How does it sound to you to grow all kinds of drugs hidden from the law? To build an entire network for it? To sell your goods worldwide and earn endless money? Good?
Then you should go to the police and turn yourself in, because that is illegal. Or watch Breaking Bad. Or … check out Drug Lord Simulator. Because that is exactly the approach that the new co-op game takes.
You had a drug empire, but a rat has betrayed you to the police. After you were taken down and a rival cartel destroyed the rest of your network, you have hit rock bottom. But since you want to get out of there again, you decide to start over.
So you start building initial plantations for cannabis and sell your goods to make more money and expand. The goal: worldwide export.

These are the features: At its core, Drug Lord Simulator is a kind of construction simulation. You start with a small area that you expand efficiently with growing opportunities for illegal substances. You need to pay special attention to space management:
you have limited space available
grow your goods here and harvest them
build a network to employ smugglers and suppliers
avoid getting caught by the police – your loyal dog warns you about it
expand worldwide and bribe government officials to turn a blind eye
Not everything stays calm. Occasionally, only reaching for the gun helps when shady characters become too uncomfortable for you.
Drug Lord Simulator will also be released with a co-op mode in which you apparently can engage in illegal activities together. However, we cannot say exactly what this will look like yet.
When and where can I play Drug Lord Simulator? The release of the game is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. Drug Lord Simulator will be available for PC on Steam. A price point has not been announced yet.
Developer Sicarius previously released the shooter Time To Stop Time, which was at least “mostly positive” received on Steam. Games in the style of Drug Lord Simulator sometimes have the potential to be very entertaining for little money, despite a ridiculous premise. So it might be worth taking a look at the game.

Call of Duty launches a comfort offensive and in addition to the free weekend of CoD: Vanguard, it also offers a double XP event. On December 2, Call of Duty: Vanguard and the Battle Royale Warzone will unite. The first warm-up round of the two shooters is now available in the form of a double XP event, which is now online. Bonuses apply to the following XP:

How long does the event last? There has been no official announcement about the event so far and it went online suddenly. It is currently unclear how long you will benefit from the double experience points. It’s possible that it will end on Monday, November 22, when the free weekend concludes.
How can I earn more XP in Vanguard? Play modes with small maps and/or many players. When the action is non-stop and kills and bullets are flying around, you’ll also earn a lot of experience points.
The playlist “Ship Haus 24/7” is the best for this – on the small maps “Shipment” and “The House” in the rotation, you can quickly level up.
Free weekend and double XP 2 weeks after the launch of Vanguard – a great opportunity to try out the new CoD or a reason to go all out on the weekend. Warzone also wants to entice with double XP and the event mode “Operation Retrospective”.
A developer from DICE involved in Battlefield 2042 has spoken out on Twitter appealing to the community. Apparently, there have been death threats against the developers after the shooter has been struggling with numerous issues.
What’s going on? Since November 12, the early access phase of Battlefield 2042 has been running. However, the initial launch was very mixed, as the shooter has numerous issues in the form of bugs, glitches, and design weaknesses. These include, for example:
And many other things that are missing or do not work as many players would like.
Numerous fans of the Battlefield series seem to have been so driven to frustration that they felt compelled to send death threats to developers on social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit, or to demand their dismissal. Now, a developer is fighting back.
Who has spoken out? The tweet is from Sam Hayter, game designer at DICE and for Battlefield 2042. He addressed fans via his Twitter page:
“I understand that people can be frustrated about a game they are passionate about… But issuing death threats against developers or studios is just not acceptable, folks… please get a grip.”
Death threats and demands for dismissal against Battlefield developers
How are players reacting to the appeal? Most see criticism of Battlefield 2042 as justified, but to express it in the form of violent calls and such things is simply wrong. Most think it’s better to threaten with a refund than with death.
The tweet from Hayter is also being discussed in the subreddit for Battlefield 2042, which is known to be particularly critical of the game and DICE. Here, many players are understanding, though some also wonder if these death threats really exist.
The tweet from game designer Hayter is underscored by a statement from a moderator in the subreddit for Battlefield 2042: “[Death threats] have happened many times. We remove them as quickly as possible and ban these people. If you look at the state of this subreddit, we obviously allow constructive criticism, but there is no tolerance for any kind of harassment, insults, or witch hunts” (via reddit.com).
Nevertheless, there are also some outliers such as “You have insulted and ignored customers enough. You do not deserve compassion” (via Twitter.com) or “The funny thing is that DICE tends to ignore constructive criticism since BF3. I also doubt that there are actual death threats” (via Twitter.com).
Some see it merely as a tactic to distract from the state of the game. However, the past shows that death threats are a common problem in the gaming industry:
Over the last few years, there have been numerous examples of such toxic behavior. A prominent example from the same company as Battlefield 2042 is EA’s failed loot shooter Anthem. It was released in 2019 in a deplorable state.
After several months and many more problems, the subreddit became increasingly worse and more toxic (via ScreenRant.com). Posts against developer BioWare became rampant. The developers also almost completely ceased their communication.
How things will go with Battlefield 2042 remains to be seen. The actual release on November 19 and the following weeks will show whether EA and DICE can turn things around.
