On Steam, the horror game “Nightmare of Decay” was released on May 3rd, a retro-style first-person shooter. It costs only €3.99, but 98% of the 569 reviews are positive. Reviewers see the game as a tribute to Resident Evil 1, which was released 26 years ago.
What kind of game is it?
- Nightmare of Decay is a classic first-person shooter that is clearly heavily inspired by Resident Evil. The horror classic from Capcom was released in 1996 for the PlayStation and a year later for the Saturn and PC.
- In Nightmare of Decay, you wake up in a villa with zombies, psychotic cultists, and other things you’d better avoid. The player solves puzzles, collects countless keys, and is repeatedly startled by the damn zombies lurking and attacking him.
- With an arsenal of weapons but limited resources, you fight for survival: the constant scarcity is part of the game’s charm, as most of the time you try to avoid fights to conserve ammunition.
Twitch streamer runs wild with a burning pan – Almost sets her kitchen on fire
During her Subathon on Twitch, Kjanecaron decided to cook something. But the food caught fire and she tried to put out the grease fire exactly the way you definitely shouldn’t.
Twitch streamer Kjanecaron held a Subathon for her 93,000 followers on Twitch. A stream marathon whose duration can be extended by new subscriptions, bits, and monetary donations. Included in the program was also the point “cooking,” which barely avoided turning into a disaster.
When the pan caught fire, panic ensued. The attempt to put it out only made things worse, and the streamer called for help.
A narrow escape from the kitchen fire
This is shown in the clip: In her kitchen, Kjanecaron sets up a camera so her viewers can watch her cook. In the clip, you can see the food in the pan on the stove smoking heavily and smoke alarms going off in the background. She removes the food from the pan and has to cough. Then, the contents of the pan suddenly catch fire. With her attempt to blow out the fire, she fails.
She then grabs the pan off the stove and holds it over the sink, where the contents come into contact with water. A flame erupts, which Kjanecaron comments with “Oh shit, fuck, fuck fuck.” She puts the pan back on the stove and shouts to the chat, “I don’t know what to do, guys.” Then she leaves the room, loudly calling for help and repeatedly emphasizing that she doesn’t know what to do and that she doesn’t have a fire extinguisher.
A few moments later, the fire in the pan has become so small that the streamer is able to pick up the pan and blow out the remaining flames. Clearly relieved, she places the hot object back into the sink and runs water over it. We’re embedding the video of the incident here:
This situation could have ended much worse. A grease fire is not to be taken lightly, and water is the absolute worst idea in this situation. Even if you spontaneously associate “water” with “putting it out.”
“At a temperature of 100°C, water turns to steam. If a stream of water is directed at boiling or burning fat, there is a sudden vaporization of the water. This will turn one liter of water into 1,700 liters!! of steam“, writes the fire department of Kirchberg on their website.
The steam disperses the burning fat and increases the surface area by about a thousand times, which can directly lead to an explosion. This creates a fireball that can spread throughout the entire kitchen.
Furthermore, the text from the Kirchberg fire department states: “This process happens within a fraction of a second. Therefore, a person who is immediately in front of the source of danger is in acute danger to life. A grease explosion can lead to life-threatening burns or even death. Even if a complete grease explosion does not occur, extreme steam can arise, which can also cause severe burns and scalds.

In the video by Stiftung Warentest, it is shown how to properly extinguish grease fires, electrical fires, and burning curtains. Inform yourselves on the website of the Kirchberg fire department about how to avoid such grease explosions and what extinguishing agents are appropriate.
As you can see, such a situation can end much worse. The streamer Kjanecaron was very lucky here. Players on reddit report that she apparently suffered burns on one hand. She spoke about the experience on the stream and showed her hand, which is smeared with cream in one spot.
Elsewhere, a 15-year-old celebrates in his Twitch streams with controlled fire. Crossmauz streams with a flamethrower and disco lights, and his clips go viral. In the community, the young streamer is celebrated for his special broadcasts.

Godzilla Event disappointing expectations of CoD Warzone – Great monsters, but too great promises
All fan eyes were on the big Godzilla event of Call of Duty: Warzone. On the evening of May 11, it finally went online. Unfortunately, it falls short for many players. MeinMMO author Maik Schneider collects reactions and shows why you should still check it out.
What’s happening with Warzone? In the current Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone, the monsters are loose. The big event “Operation: Monarch” is currently online and in a time-limited mode, King Kong and Godzilla are rampaging on the map Caldera.
2 giant NPCs stroll across the island, causing chaos, destruction, and can even help you eliminate your enemies.
However, the reactions to the visit from the Titans in the free Battle Royale are not exactly overwhelming. And that’s not necessarily due to the event itself, but to the expectations raised beforehand.
MeinMMO summarizes some reactions and gives insight into why you should still watch the reunion of the beloved giants.
Marketing vs. Reality – Warzone has overdone it
Why are players disappointed? Warzone released trailers and promoted the event for a few weeks. Some images have created certain expectations that are quite far from the real event.
The biggest thread today in the Warzone sub-reddit highlights the issue:
In a trailer, it was shown how the two Titans go head-to-head. In the event mode, however, the two creatures act completely independently of each other. There’s no sign of a fight between them.
Also, the overall interaction with the environment falls short of expectations. In the trailer, King Kong can be seen pulling an airplane from the sky to the ground.
However, Kong actually just jumps from one point to another on the map, flailing a bit and throwing rocks.
Another point is a burning volcano in the trailer. This hinted at another map change or at least a map event during the Titan matches. But there’s no sign of lava or volcanic eruptions.

“The event can’t keep up with the hype”
What do the reactions look like? The fan account “Modern Warzone” launched a Twitter poll asking whether the event is a W or an L – W stands for “Win” and L stands for “Loss”. The result after 13 hours of polling is quite clear:
Of 17,755 votes, 70.8% voted for an L (as of May 12, 10:00 AM). The mood is accordingly rather against the event.
However, the comments under the poll are more divided. There are also many users who support the event. Here are some contextual comments:
- @hobo_nick: “Marketing has raised expectations that the developers have not fulfilled. The volcano should have exploded. The monsters should have fought. The skin bundles should have included meta weapons. A match victory should have brought more incentives. Overall a disappointment. These big crossovers need to BOOM. Disappointing.”
- @dNstreeeet: “It’s a W! I didn’t expect to see King Kong and Godzilla fight and I was still impressed by what technology in gaming can do these days. The graphics are really cool. I never thought I would see these two movie monsters in Warzone.”
- @EndyisBad: “I resist anyone who says the event is an L. These people just hate everything that comes from Call of Duty. This game mode is the most fun I’ve had since Caldera was released in December.”
- @Shadow_MW_: “The event can’t keep up with the hype in my eyes. It was quite cool. But the fact that the monsters don’t interact with each other and Godzilla doesn’t leave the water was strange.”
The mode itself is often described as a cool change and nice activity. But the first impression was often negative because the expectations of the monsters were higher.
This is partly due to things that other games in the “Battle Royale” genre have already done. Fortnite often makes Warzone look outdated in this regard. Thus, the assessment from Twitch streamer Nickmercs, who has been in Warzone for a long time, also comes:

Personal conclusion – Definitely check out the nonsense
I went into the event with no big expectations, not even sure if you would actually see the two in all their glory on Caldera.
Accordingly, my mouth corners quickly turned up when I saw the first glimpse of the map. Godzilla and King Kong are indeed stomping!
This brings a very special gaming feel because the monsters really seem overpowering and add a very exciting gameplay element. The first time, goosebumps crept across my body.
If you stand near the giants, it’s simply impressive and gives a certain kick. Especially at the location “Peak,” there’s constant action, bullets are flying from all sides and then such a giant creature is pursuing you.
The tighter the play area gets towards the end, the more the monsters interfere. When there are only 20, maybe 25 people left in the match (out of 60), the attacks from the Titans are a constant danger.
This requires more flexibility compared to the normal Battle Royale, but also provides more chances since everyone has to adjust. Enemies constantly come out of their hiding spots and run panically into my crosshairs.
The highlight of the first evening was a victory with the help of Godzilla. We put the last opposing team under great pressure and my duo partner still had the S.C.R.E.A.M. device that allowed him to control a monster attack.
Godzilla’s atomic breath went across the entire battlefield. We managed to get away, but the opponents were torn apart.
It’s not a mode you’ll grind for the next 2 weeks because it’s so damn good. But the event is definitely worth an extended evening. A great change from the Warzone routine.

An MMORPG that many love is getting a new server after 21 years – A Touch of WoW Classic
For many MMORPG fans, “Dark Age of Camelot” (PC) is still considered the online role-playing game with the best PvP. The game was released in 2001 in the USA and established the three-realm combat system, which is still maintained in Guild Wars 2 and The Elder Scrolls Online today. In 2022, the game will receive a new server with classic elements and a restart: Such a classic version had already caused a resurgence for World of Warcraft.
What kind of game is it? Dark Age of Camelot is a classic MMORPG with some unique features that many veterans still highlight 21 years after its release:
In the game, 3 realms fight against each other:
- Albion (Arthurian Legend, Knights and Mages)
- Hibernia (Celtic Mythology, Elves and Fairies)
- Midgard (Norse Mythology, Trolls and Dwarves)
Each realm has different versions of certain classes that vary greatly, leading to crazy class combinations:
- “Shadowblade” is, for example, a rogue who can wield a two-handed weapon
- the Scout is a bowman who fights with a shield
- the Animist can summon numerous mushrooms that attack enemies
Above all, PvP is considered formative for the MMORPG genre: Players fought against each other for castles and relics. There were duels, small skirmishes, or massive battles.
If everything was so great, why is it then dead? Dark Age of Camelot experienced a relatively large hype in the early 2000s and released several expansions in rapid succession.
Then it became clear that “PvE” games like Everquest performed better on the market than PvP titles like Dark Age of Camelot. The DAOC developers, Mythic, tried to steer the game towards PvE with the “Trials of Atlantis” expansion in 2003, which worked moderately well.
The game also had ongoing balancing issues: Especially new classes that came with the expansions were considered “too strong” and “overpowered”: It was said that they were just that good to encourage many people to buy the new add-on.
Then the hype for World of Warcraft emerged, and Dark Age of Camelot disappeared more or less from the spotlight starting in 2005.
The leading minds of the game turned to other projects and the next generation of MMORPGs: The design chief, Mark Jacobs, developed Warhammer Online, and the production chief, Matt Firor, moved to Bethesda and worked on “The Elder Scrolls Online”.
New server with classic elements aims to be a restart and bring back old players
This is the idea now: As clarified in a newsletter summarizing a developer Discord chat, a new server is planned for 2022 to bring players back to DAOC:
- The server is to run a “modified version of DAOC” – the rest is on “strong classic elements”
- The server is to allow for a “restart”
- The server is to be launched in summer
The developers emphasize that the current DAOC on the Ywain server should not be negatively affected by this.
What’s behind this: DAOC is certainly one of the MMORPGs that has been most glorified 20 years later. Many debates continually arise about how great DAOC was – for many in Europe and Germany, it was their “first MMORPG”.
The attempt to revive the game and turn back the clock is certainly interesting.
However, it must be said that Dark Age of Camelot has aged significantly worse in terms of graphics compared to World of Warcraft.
For many years, fans of DAOC have hoped that “Camelot Unchained” will eventually succeed. This is an indie MMORPG from DAOC developer Marc Jacobs:

Fortnite defeats cheat providers in a lawsuit – Donates the loot for a good cause
In Fortnite there are many providers selling accounts or cheats. These not only give you an advantage in the game, but may also be stolen accounts. Epic Games does not tolerate this and has taken action against a cheat provider with good success.
What has Epic Games done? Many cheat providers and fraudsters are circulating on the internet, selling you stolen accounts for a lot of money. Not only does this violate Epic Games’ guidelines, but it is also illegal.
In Australia, the cheat provider BlazeFN has now been dragged to court and held accountable. He was not only accused of violating the EULA, but also of disregarding the terms of service and infringing Epic Games’ copyrights.
Monetary penalty will be used for those in need
Who has been affected? Brandon Despotakis, also known as BlazeFN, sold cheats and accounts with already completed battle passes and rare skins for money. However, Epic caught onto him and sued the man in April 2021.
He was found by the court to have violated the EULA, the terms of service, and copyright laws, and must pay a fine. Brandon stated the following after his trial:
Until recently, I sold unauthorized Fortnite cheats and compromised Fortnite player accounts. I will not do this anymore because Epic Games caught me and initiated a legal proceeding against me in Australia.
Furthermore, I am subject to legal restrictions that prevent me from doing this in the future and must pay financial compensation that Epic will donate to charity.
BlazeFN according to PC Gamer
How much money did BlazeFN have to pay? It has not been disclosed how much BlazeFN had to pay. However, considering the violations and Epic’s goal of supporting a children’s charity with the “proceeds”, it could be a substantial amount.
The money will go to the organization “Child’s Play”, which aims to improve children’s hospitals.
Epic wants to make it clear that they do not tolerate such offenses and will pursue and hold accountable those responsible with all severity. Fortnite aims to provide every player with a fair gaming experience, and that can only happen if operators of such aim bots or hacked accounts are dealt with.

Pokémon GO: 3 new quests that are really worth it for the Water Festival
In Pokémon GO the Water Festival starts today, where you can find themed research again. We at MeinMMO have looked at which quests and rewards await you during the event and which are particularly worthwhile.
What tasks are involved? In Pokémon GO you have the opportunity to obtain special tasks by spinning PokéStops. As you might know from past events, the field research from May has now been supplemented with special event quests for the Water Festival. You will receive these throughout the event period.

When does the Water Festival run? The Water Festival runs from May 12, 2022, at 10:00 local time until May 20, 2022, at 20:00 local time.
8 new quests for the Water Festival
Just in time for the start of the Water Festival, you will find 8 new field research tasks at the PokéStops. Below we have summarized all the tasks and rewards, marking all Pokémon with a (*) that you can encounter in their shiny form (via leekduck.com).

Just like the regular quests, these tasks will be displayed in your “Field” view in the game, but they will carry the small note “Event” so you can distinguish them from the other quests. You have unlimited time to complete the tasks as usual.
Which quests are worthwhile?
The new tasks hold several Pokémon encounters, but also balls as well as various Mega Energy for you and are all relatively easy to solve. Three tasks are particularly worthwhile. We show you which:
Catch 15 Pokémon: After completing this task, you will encounter Araqua. The Pokémon from the 7th generation celebrates its debut in the game at the start of the Water Festival. It is a Water and Bug Pokémon and can be evolved into Araquanid with the help of 50 candies.
Just the fact that it is new will be a reason for many players to secure as many specimens as possible. In addition, Araquanid can score with a decent defense value and is therefore one of the top candidates in the Great League (via pvpoke.com).
Catch 10 Water-type Pokémon: One of the possible rewards for this quest is the Rock and Water Pokémon Bithora, which you should definitely secure. The monster from the 6th generation will now be catchable in its shiny form for the first time in the game.
Even though it can be found in the wild and hatches from 7km eggs during the event, you should seize every opportunity to encounter a shiny. You can recognize it by its red and white striped body and green leafy hair.
Besides Bithora, you will alternatively find 20 Mega Energy for Blastoise or Gyarados in the rewards for this quest. This could also be helpful for some trainers to evolve the corresponding Mega Pokémon.
Catch 25 Pokémon: A Pokémon that is also celebrating a special debut in the game is Lapras. This will be available for the first time dressed in a scarf and is hidden in the reward for the quest “Catch 25 Pokémon”. Of course, you can also catch this Pokémon in its shiny form with a bit of luck.
Unlike Bithora, you will only encounter Lapras outside of research tasks in Level 3 raids and in the new limited research for the Water Festival. So if you want to secure a shiny, you should also rely on the quests.

Pokémon GO: New Limited Research Brings You 2 “New” Pokémon
At the start of the Water Festival in Pokémon GO, a limited research will be unlocked. As a reward, you will receive items and two Pokémon encounters. One has the chance to bring you a Shiny.
What is happening in Pokémon GO? On May 12, the big Water Festival starts, bringing Kapu-Kime into the raids. Additionally, for the first time, there will be shiny Bithora and the Pokémon Araqua with its evolution Aranestro.

Limited Research for the Water Event – All Rewards
When will the research be available? It will be available at the start of the event at 10:00 AM on May 12. You have until the end of the event, on May 20 at 8:00 PM, to complete it.

- Reward: 20 Poké Balls
- Catch 50 Pokémon
- Reward: 25 Great Balls
- Catch 25 Water-type Pokémon
- Reward: 25 Ultra Balls
- Land 25 curveball throws
- Reward: Encounter with Araqua
- Catch 10 different species of Pokémon
- Reward: 50 Mega Energy for Gyarados
Total reward: If you successfully complete all tasks and claim your rewards, you will also receive an additional 1,000 Stardust, 1,000 experience points, and an encounter with the new Lapras, wearing a scarf.
The new Pokémon: Through the research, you can encounter the two Pokémon Araqua and Lapras. Araqua is newly catchable in the game. This Pokémon is of the Water and Bug types and comes from the seventh generation of games. While Lapras has been in the game before, it is “new” because it is available in the game for the first time with this scarf costume.

Developers have allegedly been copying League of Legends boldly and successfully for years – But Riot has no desire to keep watching this
Riot Games has filed a lawsuit against a six-year-old mobile game for allegedly copying elements from League of Legends: Wild Rift. The developer studio of the mobile game and Riot Games are already familiar with each other due to another game that also led to a lawsuit.
Which game is it about? Riot Games has filed a lawsuit against the game “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang”, developed by Moonton. The game from the Chinese developer studio is a MOBA for mobile devices.
In Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, you play classic MOBA matches in 5 vs. 5. The focus is, as typical for the genre, on teamwork and strategy.
Riot accuses the MOBA title released on July 14, 2016, of copying elements from League of Legends: Wild Rift. Wild Rift is a shortened and mobile-device-developed version of the popular PC counterpart and e-sport giant League of Legends.

Subsequently, it appears that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang returned to the store in a minimally altered form of Mobile Legends to, as stated in the lawsuit, copy visual elements from League of Legends: Wild Rift through updates.
Furthermore, it is stated that Moonton is knowingly copying Riot’s intellectual property. Riot Games likely wants to prevent Moonton from continuing to unlawfully use the rights to the game League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Riot Games itself aims to seek a jury trial as well as a preliminary injunction that prohibits Moonton from distributing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Additionally, it is reported by polygon.com that Riot Games might use the lawsuit as a procedural step to pursue another lawsuit in China. Riot has already been successful in the past with such actions.

Old acquaintances: Riot Games & Moonton
What previous lawsuits have there been? In 2018, Riot Games already sued Moonton in the “U.S. District Court for the Central District of California”.
The earlier lawsuit was about the game “Mobile Legends: 5v5 MOBA”. At that time, Riot Games referred to the title as a direct derivative of League of Legends.
The federal judge in the USA responsible for the case at that time rejected a hearing of the case. He decided that China was the better jurisdiction for the lawsuit.
Subsequently, according to polygon.com, the China-based parent company of Riot Games – Tencent Holdings – intervened and obtained a judgment against Moonton and its managing director for 2.9 million dollars.
In the past, Riot Games has repeatedly struggled with intellectual property theft. The lawsuits against Moonton are no exception.

Pokémon GO: Water Festival starts today – All spawns, Shinys and bonuses
On May 12, 2022, the Water Festival starts in Pokémon GO, where you can look forward to many special features again. We at MeinMMO show you which spawns, shinies, and bonuses await you at this event.
What kind of event is this? The Water Festival is all about the Alola island Poni, whose guardian is Kapu-Kime and, of course, many Water-type Pokémon. You can also look forward to numerous spawns, shinies, and bonuses.
When does the Water Festival start? On May 12, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time, the Water Festival kicks off. From then on, you have until May 20, 2022, at 8:00 PM local time to take advantage of all the event’s benefits.
All Spawns and Shinies for the Water Festival
With the start of the Water Festival, your journey in the Alola region continues. You could already encounter Kapu-Kime, the guardian of the island Poni, in level-5 raids since May 10. During the event, however, you can also expect further themed spawns.
For the first time, you can encounter the Water- and Bug-type Pokémon Araqua and evolve it into Aranestro. As announced by Niantic as part of the Alola season, the next special research for the Alola region under the name “A Poni Adventure” was already unlocked for you on May 10, 2022. Here you can find all tasks and rewards for the new special research.
If you complete this and the research from the previous three islands in time, you will receive a free bonus special research at the end of the season starting May 25.

Players in Destiny 2 cheat in the Guardian Games 2022 – With a ridiculous trick
In Destiny 2, the Guardian Games 2022 are in full swing. Players are fighting for the title of the best class and for a chance at a rare emblem. However, with a new trick, Guardians have found a way to cheat their way to the rare badge.
Bungie has addressed the issue and informed players via twitter:
We have updated the Guardian Games community scores (including the top 10%) to ignore high scores achieved by repeatedly reviving fireteam members.
Everyone remains eligible for the top 10% emblem, inflated scores will not unfairly distort the “10 %” threshold.
What is the problem with the Guardian Games 2022? Guardians can compete against each other, collect medals, and support their class. The class with the most medals wins and earns the title of the best Guardian faction 2022.
To give you another reason for your grind and participation in the Guardian Games, Bungie has created a rare emblem. Only players who have achieved the most points in the competitive playlist of the Guardian Games receive this emblem.
However, only your high score of the respective week counts. Only your best will be counted. If you have done this every week and the Guardian Games end, you may have the chance to be among the 10 % that receive the emblem, provided you have achieved high scores.
However, Guardians have now found a way to achieve up to 500,000 points with little effort to reach the top 10% of the best Guardians. They use a ridiculous trick that Bungie itself has implemented.
Honest players have little to no chance
How does the trick work? We at MeinMMO do not provide you with a guide on how to exploit bugs or glitches to gain an advantage over other Guardians.
Basically, Guardians exploit a medal that they receive for outstanding achievements in strikes. If you perform the exploit correctly, this medal is worth more than any kill in the strike. From then on, you must repeat your actions until you reach your desired score or the score timer runs out.
This trick is not only unfair, it also takes away the chance of honest players to obtain the rare emblem that Bungie has promoted. Players are essentially “cheating” in the Guardian Games to earn their rewards.
Has Bungie commented on this? So far, Bungie has remained silent. No statements from the developers on this issue can be found.
Perhaps all Guardians who participated in the Guardian Games 2022 will receive the emblem as compensation for this escapade.
Bungie has previously created emblems for many significant events, such as with the Prometheus Lens, which remain as reminders in the collections of the Guardians. It remains to be seen what Bungie will do in this case.

Pokémon GO: Community Day with Alolan Geodude brings extra bonuses in 11 German cities – Here are the locations
On Saturday, May 21, 2022, the Community Day featuring Alolan Geodude will take place in Pokémon GO. As before, there will be worldwide “meetups” and special bonuses from Niantic for this event – including in Germany.
Niantic announced: On May 11, the Pokémon GO developers announced that there will also be meeting points around the world during the next Community Day in May, where you can expect bonuses – just like the Community Day featuring Velursi.
Among other things, the event will offer personal “meetups”, as well as some locations where the PokéStops will simply be improved with more items. There you will find only virtual bonuses.

Apex Legends Mobile is coming in just a week – Here’s how it differs from PC, PS5 & Xbox
Apex Legends is making its leap to mobile devices and will soon be released on iOS and Android. Now there is also a launch date – and it is very close.
When does Apex Legends Mobile come out? Apex Legends Mobile officially launches on May 17, 2022. This means the release is just a few days away. This was announced by the official channel on Twitter.
Currently, you can still pre-register on the official game website to be able to jump in directly at launch. There are various rewards for pre-registration – depending on how many players sign up in the end.
The game can then be downloaded for free on the release day.

What’s in Apex Legends Mobile?
This is what the game offers: Basically, Apex Legends Mobile aims to provide a similar gaming experience to its big counterpart on consoles and PC – and it is one of the best battle royale games of 2022. You will jump into battle with a legend and try to survive until the end in the battle royale.
You can expect fast-paced gameplay where quick movements across the map and the skillful use of the various legends will be crucial.
In a limited release that started in early March in some countries, classic battle royale matches were possible on the “Edge of the World” map. Additionally, there were modes like Team Deathmatch, Mini Battle Royale, and 3v3 Arena.
How Mobile differs from the “big” Apex Legends: Apex Legends Mobile has been built from the ground up for mobile, according to the developers. This comes with some optimizations to the controls so that the fast-paced shooter can be played well on a smartphone or tablet.
Furthermore, there will be differences in the legends. In the pre-release, some well-known legends were already playable, such as Lifeline, Octane, Revenant, and more. Additionally, the mobile version of the game is expected to introduce new heroes who will bring entirely new stories.

that will make their first appearance there. However, there is no more specific information about this yet.
What about Crossplay? Apex Legends Mobile will not offer crossplay that allows you to play against PlayStation, Xbox, or PC players. It completely separates itself from the “main game” and also offers its own cosmetics and battle passes.
Recently, an Apex Legends cheater managed to break crossplay boundaries between PC and console. Such a thing will likely not be possible either.

The Godzilla event in CoD Warzone has started – All information about Operation Monarch
On Wednesday, May 11, the big event with Godzilla and King Kong goes live in Call of Duty: Warzone – Operation Monarch. MeinMMO shows you the schedule, the process, and the most important details about the event.

CoD Warzone: Operation Monarch – All Information
When does the event start? Operation Monarch goes live on Wednesday, May 11, at 6 PM. The limited event mode will remain in the playlist for 2 weeks.
How does the event mode work? Played in 4-player teams following the “Revival” mode rules. 60 players compete for victory, and a team is eliminated only when all team members are wiped out. The last standing team wins.
On the way to victory, you can rely on particularly large aids. You collect points for a type of “Titan Meter”. The points are obtained from loot boxes, special equipment drops, and defeated enemies.
If the Titan Meter fills up slowly, you will receive strong items such as killstreaks and loadout crates. Once the bar is full, a S.C.R.E.A.M. device is available:
With it, you can summon a monstrous killstreak. Choose the attack from King Kong or Godzilla and direct their power against your enemies.
There is another way to obtain the extremely powerful monster killstreak. The titans will go into a “rage” during the match and go a bit wild.
In these phases, the damage dealt to the monsters counts. The team that does the most damage to the creatures by the end of the rage will also receive a S.C.R.E.A.M. device.
Is there regular Battle Royale during the event? If you don’t like the event, you don’t have to participate. The normal battle royale modes will also be online, and you won’t be forced to deal with the monsters.
What rewards are available? If you complete a task, you will receive themed cosmetics:
- Play Operation Monarch for 6 hours: Ancestral Skull – Talisman
- Use monster killstreak once: Ancient Remains – Talisman

What else does the event bring to the game? In addition to the crazy event mode, new cosmetic bundles will be available in the shop, with a fitting monster theme. The skin bundle with the blue Godzilla skin is already online, and the trailer for the bundle can be found on YouTube (via youtube.com).
What happens after the event? Operation Monarch will last for 2 weeks. The devastation caused by the two monsters may lead to further damage to the Warzone map. Already at the start of Season 3, a lot has changed on Caldera, and possibly more is yet to come.
The Season 3 roadmap announces for the mid-season that there are more secrets to discover in the underground of Caldera. An official teaser indicates that the surface is no longer safe (via twitter.com).
This could mean that mid-season 3 starts directly after the event and brings further map adjustments.

LoL: Young US team promises to take down Europe – Faces the final boss in the first match and it is a Dane
The US team Evil Geniuses unexpectedly became champions in the USA in 2022 in League of Legends and proudly participated in the LoL MSI 2022, a major international tournament. Prior to the event, it was said that Evil Geniuses wanted to now take on Europe. They believed they were clearly better than them. At the tournament, they had to face Europe in their very first game – and there they quickly found their limits against G2.
What did the team say?
- The US team “Evil Geniuses” surprisingly won the Spring Split in the USA decisively in 2022.
- Particularly notable were the young talent in the bot lane, Danny (18), and in the mid lane Jojopyun (17). It is rare that young North Americans make it to the professional league at all, let alone dominate like this. They were well complemented by veterans like Impact and Vulcan.
- After the championship, Jojopyun stepped up and tweeted: “Going to MSI Shitting on EU” – a clear challenge to the European team G2. The young Canadian (17) also said this in the livestream, much to the delight of the American audience: they are simply “clearly better” than them – but they will see that.

Here’s how the match went: In the very first match at MSI 2022 on May 10, a duel between G2 and Evil Geniuses actually took place.
The result was a clear victory for the Europeans in 30 minutes. The young Canadian Jojopyun played Ryze with only 1-3-3. The 22-year-old Dane Caps, probably the strongest player in Europe at the moment, took him down with 4-0-7 on Anivia.
The winner says: He respects trash talk
This is how the players sound after the match:
Jojopyun now sounds almost apologetic: “Yes, G2 played well, but I think we just played badly. Much worse than normal. I think we were bad in different ways. The problem was that we weren’t good, not that G2 was so strong. Although they were pretty strong.”
Now the Canadian says that it’s all okay. They would now play internationally and learn a lot.
The winner, Rasmus “Caps” Winther, reacts more mildly than one might expect. Caps doesn’t see it too seriously. He says he respects trash talk. Many US teams are humble. It even feels good when someone dares to be more confident.

Because one faction in WoW is much worse than the other, an important feature is missing in the endgame
The raid “Mausoleum of the First” from WoW: Shadowlands was defeated on Mythic difficulty already at the end of March after a long struggle. More than 100 guilds have completed the raid successfully since then. However, this only applies to the Horde – the Alliance is falling behind and this blocks an important change.
What is the problem? Mythic raids are the hardest PvE content in the endgame of World of Warcraft and the race for “World First” is followed by many players with excitement.
However, the raid parties are almost purely Horde events. The Alliance faction is hardly keeping up. This is particularly evident in the latest raid “Mausoleum of the First”, with the Jailer as the final boss.
Because the 100 fastest progression guilds of each faction end up in the Hall of Fame – a total of 200 guilds. At the time of this article, 109 guilds were noted: 100 for the Horde, 9 for the Alliance.
A clear imbalance, then, and a significant problem of faction balance. And this affects the normal course of a WoW expansion.
Progress raids are more or less the opposite of casual raids. It’s not (just) about playing comfortably with friends in the evening, but rather making an effort to complete the hardest content as quickly as possible. There is a certain competitive thought behind it.
Why does this block content? Only when all 200 spots in the Hall of Fame are filled, does the raid on Mythic difficulty open for cross-server raids. Currently, only players on the same server can raid mythic together.
This greatly expands the player pool for the hard raids. Many players thereby first receive the chance to complete the raid with strong players or to be part of a progress raid group.
Why is there this imbalance of factions? The short answer: Habit. By now it makes little difference in terms of strength in PvE whether you belong to the Horde or Alliance.
However, this was different in the past. To get the most out of your character, you almost had to play Horde. Since the progression players are always the pioneers, many followed along and stayed.
The reason for this is the various bonuses and abilities of the races. These were simply stronger for PvE in the Horde. The Alliance was traditionally better in PvP, at least for some time. It took many years of balancing before both factions were roughly equally strong.
Particularly the active bonuses of trolls and orcs were responsible for that. They provided a small “battle frenzy” every few minutes. In the Alliance, humans had the upper hand in PvP because they could free themselves from almost every control ability (via WoW Forum).
By the way: Back in Classic, the Alliance was still the preferred raid faction. Special abilities of dwarf priests and the blessings of the then Alliance-exclusive paladins ensured that.
After that, the Horde players took over, and the progress community has had a “historical” focus on the Horde ever since, which now causes the Alliance to fall far behind when it comes to raiding. It remains to be seen whether the problem will be solved, when cross-faction play works.
In the last raids “Sanctum of Domination” and “Castle Nathria”, the Alliance needed nearly a month longer to fill all 100 spots.

What is the Realm of Damnation? The Realm of Damnation is Skarn’s personal hell, a demon lord.
According to Blizzard, it formed out of the hellish chaos and was discovered by guardian angels years ago. These angels are now cut off from the heavens and live in the Realm of Damnation.
There you will also meet the leader of the angels named Verathiel, whose biggest challenge has been to be stranded in the Realm of Damnation. Since you are the bearer of the angel’s dagger, you have the opportunity to find allies among the angels in hell.
Who is Skarn? The demon lord Skarn is the judge, jury, and executioner in the Realm of Damnation. He is also the mastermind behind the pursuit of the world shards.
According to Blizzard, Skarn’s goal is to collect the shards that were created when Sanctuary fell into ruin, the resulting catastrophe swallowed the Archangel Tyrael, and destroyed the area of Arreat and much of the north.
Skarn also thrived in the age following the events of Diablo 2, when a war raged that found no clear victor. However, it remains unclear if Skarn led an army or merely seized the opportunity.

What does Blizzard reveal about the sound and level design? According to Blizzard, the individual teams have really put in effort to create appropriate sounds and level designs.
The audio team wanted to ensure that the cruelty and ambitions of Skarn are recognizable in the soundtracks from the Realm of Damnation.
Regarding level design, Blizzard expressed excitement at being able to show a deviation from the expected burning hell with lava and horns. This was also made clear by the description of the creature design.
The development team tried to adapt the creatures to the shapes and colors of the environment. This is intended to provide not only a variation from the classic reddish demon designs but also to convey the impression that the characters have evolved in the environment or have been influenced by it.

FIFA 22: The dispute between EA and FIFA is not about football or gaming – it’s about big money
The FIFA series from EA is being renamed after almost 30 years. At the same time, FIFA (the association) is planning a competing product. FIFA and Electronics Arts talk about authenticity and new football experiences – but is that really the most important factor? MeinMMO author Max Handwerk has doubts.
This is what’s happening at EA: Summer 2023 is the end: FIFA as we know it will no longer exist. So – more or less at least. That’s how the announcement from EA Sports reads.
Instead of “FIFA,” players will play “EA Sports FC” starting in summer 2023. The new version of the football simulation is supposed to include “everything” that players love about their “games”: modes, real players and teams, stadiums, leagues, and so on – everything is supposed to remain on board (via EA.com). It also fits that a long-term agreement has been reached with the licensing partner FIFPRO.
At the same time, EA emphasizes that it shouldn’t just be a symbolic change but a real new start. The “independent platform” would bring “fresh opportunities.” Investment in sports is being made, and more and more partners are working on new, authentic experiences.
EA Sports FC is then supposed to bring “joy, inclusion, and immersion for a global community of fans” starting in 2023. However, no specific innovation is mentioned – that will happen only after FIFA 23.
So for now, the whole thing sounds a bit like the old chocolate bar advertisement: “Raider is now Twix, nothing else changes.”
This is what FIFA is doing now: FIFA (the world football association) immediately responded with a press release stating that they will now produce new football video games (yes, plural) with external studios and publishers. Some “non-simulation-based” games are already in production and are set to be released later this year, ahead of the World Cup.
Furthermore, FIFA President Gianni Infantino spoke out in the announcement and emphasized:
I can assure you that the only authentic, real game carrying the name FIFA will be the best available for gamers and football fans. The name FIFA is the only global, original title. FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25, and FIFA 26 and so on – the constant is the name FIFA, and it will remain forever and be THE BEST.

Again, the word “authentic” is used – and that’s no surprise. After all, the aspect that the FIFA series always contained a large portion of real players and clubs was a significant advantage over the long-standing competitor Pro Evolution Soccer.
That both sides are now presenting themselves as the “authentic” representatives wishing to offer the best football experience in the virtual realm is not surprising.
However, looking at the history of the dispute, it becomes clear that it is not about authenticity, gaming, or football itself.
It seems more like “the great football video game” is a particularly delicious cake that both believe they are getting too small a piece of.
What role does money play in this dispute?
Who is actually arguing? Both parties, who are working on football video games, have long been criticized regarding money.
- EA Sports is regularly criticized for its Ultimate Team practices. Here, packs with random players are sold, which can also be paid with real money. There is no guarantee of getting strong players that advance you in the game – in fact, the odds are rather poor. Nonetheless, Ultimate Team generates unbelievable amounts of money year after year. Additionally, there’s also the purchase price for FIFA. Each year, EA releases a new version of the series as a full-price game.
- The FIFA as the football world association, meanwhile, is criticized by many football fans for massively driving the commercialization of football forward. Controversial issues like the World Cup award to Qatar and corruption scandals also play a role.
What are the reasons for the split? In the official statements from both sides, there is little said about the reasons why they prefer to continue without each other in the future. However, in recent weeks and months, various aspects have come to light that are said to have contributed to this.
- It all started in the fall of 2021, when EA Sports publicly considered renaming the series and no longer relying on the FIFA license. According to New York Times, FIFA allegedly requested double the price for the license – around a billion dollars for 4 years instead of 500 million as before.
- Moreover, FIFA was said to want to restrict the money-making opportunities within the games and keep exclusive rights for itself, while EA wanted to incorporate more monetization options.
- Later, alleged statements from EA boss Andrew Wilson from an internal meeting came to light. The site VGC reported that Wilson allegedly emphasized, according to anonymous sources, that they were restricted by FIFA. For example, no modes beyond 11vs11 were allowed. Moreover, they were not allowed to expand the “digital ecosystem” – for instance, through partnerships with companies like Nike. As FIFA had a partnership with Adidas.
- Wilson was also of the opinion that the FIFA license would provide “four letters on the box” in years without a World Cup.
- He repeatedly emphasized that EA’s players were actually urging them to incorporate even more brands.
As part of the “EA Sports FC” announcement, it is notable that explicitly Nike, alongside many football clubs, has now announced a connection with the “new” football series:
The FIFA, in turn, emphasizes in its current announcement: “The sector of interactive games and e-sports is experiencing an unprecedented path of growth and diversification. FIFA’s strategy aims to leverage all future opportunities optimally and ensure a wide range of products and opportunities for players, fans, member associations, and partners” (via FIFA.com).
This statement also sounds quite “economical” – and not like it’s coming from the heart of football or gaming.
What does all this mean for the football gaming world? Let’s dream of an ideal situation: It’s not about money at all. Or at least not just that. Ideally, EA with FIFA is no longer the sole dominant player who can rest because no one poses a real threat. But rather, they now face a strong competitor – and EA must deliver a really good, fair game with many innovations with “EA Sports FC”. Otherwise, customers will simply buy “FIFA 24,” which will no longer be distributed by EA.
In turn, FIFA delivers a strong game – and we get a competition of motivated developers trying to outdo each other with their games for years to come. And as if that weren’t enough, newcomer UFL and a revitalized Pro Evolution Soccer will add to the competition. That would of course be great.
But the opposite could also be true. EA saves the FIFA license but can continue as usual and further monetize the game. Perhaps Nike shoes with shooting boosts will be sold in addition to strong players in the game, who knows.
The FIFA, on the other hand, delivers a game that has licenses but not much else. It will be called FIFA 24 or FIFA 25 and ensure that all sorts of people buy the wrong game but don’t get what they expect. Because one must also say: Either way, the football game world could become quite confusing in the future.
For now, it’s probably best to wait – and hope that both sides are willing to really deliver an exciting, cool game. Instead of one that is solely geared towards maximizing profit.

The fluid is a dielectric. Dielectric is an insulating fluid that can conduct electricity only minimally. The liquid is also supposed to prevent corrosion and serve as a coolant.
A good liquid dielectric should have high thermal stability and inertia towards the materials used in construction so that they do not dissolve. It should also offer non-flammability, low toxicity, and good thermal conductivity.
If the fluid were conductive, certain parts of the hardware like the processor or graphics card would have to be additionally insulated, which would be very complicated.
The idea with the aquarium is not completely new: The YouTuber is not the first user to put hardware “underwater”. In fact, it is especially common in IT to cool large devices this way. For example, servers or storage devices are cooled in liquid to dissipate heat better. Laboratories also like to use this technique.
