But somehow Division 2 is also fun again. And what’s more important, Ubisoft seems to still have bigger plans for the once-so-successful cover shooter. Especially if more Legendary difficulty levels are introduced in the future, starting with the missions “Tidal Basin” and “Manning National Zoo.”

It seems that the fun has apparently not only been communicated among passionate Division players. New players are also finding their way back into the game. Should Ubisoft actually shift the story focus in that direction, that would again give you a reason to visit your agent in Division 2 in Washington to gain strength.

“I have had a bit of luck, I got a Zweilous, a Swoobat, and a Drifloon before the bug event, but not much since then. I haven’t really used the incense much since I completed the challenge. I wish there was a 7-day streak where the spawns get better the more often you use it consecutively.”UndyingDark (via reddit.com)
Is such a change conceivable? A similar reward system already exists in Pokémon GO with the daily first catch and spin at PokéStops. There, the rewards improve a bit day by day. It is conceivable that Niantic might also introduce such an approach for the daily incense and adjust the probabilities of an encounter accordingly.

In Pokémon GO there has been the daily adventure incense for a few weeks now, which is supposed to bring you special encounters, like the legendary Galarian birds. However, some trainers are disappointed. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at what it’s all about.
What kind of incense is this? At the end of July, Niantic introduced a new feature in Pokémon GO: the adventure incense. This is a special incense that you can activate once a day, and that brings you different spawns while you move for 15 minutes.
Unlike normal incense, the adventure incense also includes one or two rare specimens. First and foremost, the legendary Galarian birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. However, these are currently causing quite a stir on social networks. We will show you why.
“Who hasn’t encountered a Galarian bird yet?”
How do you get the birds? Normally, you cannot simply encounter the legendary monsters in Pokémon GO in the wild, but you mainly find them in raids, as well as in rewards from the GO Battle League or in battle against the Rocket boss Giovanni.
What is the problem? Although the incense has been available for more than three weeks now, not every player has been able to encounter a Galarian bird yet. This is particularly frustrating for those affected. On social networks, they are currently flooded with images of seen or even caught Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres from other players.

The Brit Richard Garriott (61) is regarded as one of the founding fathers of MMORPGs and RPGs. With the role-playing series ‘Ultima’, he wrote role-playing history in the 80s, and the MMORPG ‘Ultima Online’ is one of the cornerstones of online role-playing games. His latest new MMORPG ‘Shroud of the Avatar’ was intended to benefit from his fame. Now he presents a new MMORPG with ‘Iron and Magic’, but the game is already overshadowed by a controversial discussion about NFTs.
How is the new MMORPG introduced? The website for Iron & Magic calls the game ‘a new Web 3.0 open-world sandbox MMORPG by the creators of Ultima.’
The second thing visible on the website is various plots of land that the game presumably wants to offer for sale in a shop. The shop is under construction – prices are not yet known.
The central message: ‘Buy land in the realm of Lord British’, this was the name of Garriott’s in-game character 40 years ago in the Ultima series (via ironandmagic).

The focus of the MMORPG is to be on content created by players. The creation of this content is to be rewarding for players. Iron and Magic seems to be going in a ‘Play2Earn’ direction: players should be able to earn (and spend) real money.
Iron & Magic aims to lead the MMORPG genre in a new direction – as currently all games are following the same paths, all heading towards ‘WoW’.
We are doing more for players, certainly more than this ‘You give us money, and then you play the game and maybe get 60 hours of fun.’

According to the motto: The shop is already finished – the game will come in 3 years in a pre-alpha.
Overall, the mood against NFTs and ‘Pay2Earn’ games is negative among magazines specializing in games and among players. Many players are biased and outright reject the whole concept of ‘NFTs’ and ‘Play2Earn’.
The hostile mood is further reinforced by influential MMO experts like Josh Strife Hayes, who have posted devastating videos about ‘Play2Earn’ games and NFTs. They categorize these games as scams and criticize them harshly (via youtube).
‘Play2Earn’ games and NFTs seem to be something that speculators are betting on, hoping to buy into a game early at a low cost, which then becomes successful, to later sell the purchased goods for profit.
With gaming, as most MMO players know and love it, this seems to have little to do.
Many players also do not understand why NFTs are needed to earn money from games: because accounts or items in MMORPGs have always been sold on eBay.
This negative basic attitude cannot be changed by Lord British, who has squandered the goodwill of many fans with Shroud of the Avatar. Even then, Lord British felt somewhat like a victim:

Unreal Engine 5 allows for huge worlds and ridiculously large player bases
What is special about the world of Under A Rock? I want to start with the technical aspect because Under A Rock is being created in Unreal Engine 5. With the powerful tool “Nanite”, you can do almost revolutionary things.
Thorbjørn says you can build ridiculously large bases. The way the Nanite tool calculates the world allows for huge constructions without overloading the server’s performance too much.
The transition from Unreal Engine 4 to UE5 has greatly helped in this aspect, thanks to Nanite. How will AI factions provide variety? Another unpredictability factor is brought into play by the factions. So far, Thorbjørn only wanted to tell me about the Neanderthals, but there are expected to be more “intelligent” factions later on.
The factions do their own thing on the map, generally acting independently of you.
You can interact with the factions, making them your friends and nice neighbors. Or you can directly distribute slaps and spear thrusts to take their resources. Of course, not without provoking a counterattack.
