Which tasks are particularly worth it?
Make 7 Power-Ups: Of the new event quests, the task to level up your Pokémon 7 times is particularly worth it. By doing so, you will receive an encounter with Gastly, Rhyhorn, Magikarp, Tanhel, or Dartiri.
These Pokémon have strong evolutions that are among the best attackers in Pokémon GO and can thus be useful in raids or the GO Battle League. Additionally, there is a chance for a special event move that you can secure by evolving these monsters.
If you are still missing a strong specimen, take this chance. In the wild and in raids, these Pokémon are not available during the World Championship event.
However, a downside to this quest is that you cannot choose the monster from the reward. Therefore, if you’re looking for a specific specimen, you need to bring a bit of luck. However, the task is super quick to solve and should therefore not be a problem.

Battle a Challenger: This task is somewhat more challenging than making Power-Ups on Pokémon, but it should still be manageable. You can find the challengers at the PokéStops throughout the entire event, just like Team GO Rocket. There, you can battle them and receive a reward in the form of balls, berries, revives, or potions afterward.
The quest is particularly worthwhile because of the encounter with the costumed Pikachu. The Electric-type Pokémon wears a special championship costume during the World Championship event and can even be caught in its Shiny form during this event.
Since it will be one of the costumes that will likely not be found in the game again soon, it is worth trying your luck for a Shiny. You can meet Pikachu in field research during the event and also face it in Level 1 raids.

Are the other tasks worth it too?
Other tasks can also be interesting for some players. Especially Shiny hunters will be pleased, as Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Squirtle, Galarian Obstagoon, and Galarian Zigzagoon can be found in their Shiny form.
If you haven’t had luck so far, you should definitely take this chance. The quests are all relatively easy to complete. However, the major drawback of these tasks is also that the selection of encounters is random. So if you want a specific monster, you need a bit of luck.

The new MMORPG Tower of Fantasy has banned its first round of cheaters and has publicly released their in-game names with censorship. However, some players believe that the ban wave was useless because it caught the wrong ones.
This is what Tower of Fantasy did: On the official site of the MMORPG, a post was published on August 18th regarding the previously announced ban wave of the game. A total of over 10,000 accounts have been permanently banned.
In an action that is rather unusual in online gaming, Tower of Fantasy also published the in-game names of the banned players on their site. However, each name was censored beforehand, replacing every 3 letters with asterisks. They look something like this:

Nevertheless, it is relatively easy to guess the full user names behind a whole range of in-game names. This is especially true for the longer ones that are composed of established terms.

If you are affected by the ban wave but cannot find your name on the site, check the Excel sheet linked on the site as well. It is also possible that your name is not yet included because the table receives updates step by step.
“The ban wave was useless”
These reactions exist: The topic of the ban was quickly taken up in the Tower of Fantasy subreddit, but the mood in the corresponding thread was not particularly high. The users there described the bans as useless because they targeted the wrong people.
It seems to have affected users who were working on the file “ksophon_x64.sys”, which is responsible for the anti-cheat system of Tower of Fantasy. However, this file was involved in a workaround that helped some players with crashes of their game and blue screens (via gamesradar and stealthisoptional). This means they were likely banned even if they did not actually cheat.
At the same time, screenshots of real cheaters are shown in the reddit thread, who continue to roam the game unscathed.

A suppressor at level 7.5 is impossible for normal players.
A screenshot shows a player with a 7.5 suppressor. However, the currently highest possible level is only 4.5.
The upgrades of the suppressor are linked to character levels and this has a temporary cap that increases over time. On the first day after the release of Tower of Fantasy in Europe, it was at level 18, on the second day at level 24, etc.
Today, August 19th, 9 days after the release of the MMORPG, it is at level 42 and can be upgraded to 5.0. (via dotesports). A 7.5 suppressor, as seen in the screenshot, is therefore impossible for normal players to achieve.
In the end, the annoyed users on reddit also pointed out that Tower of Fantasy only bans individual characters of the cheaters and not their accounts, as stated on the site. Accordingly, the cheaters can simply create a new character and continue.

Diablo 4 is set to release in 2023, but will continue to be supported with content for a long time – for example in the form of “seasons.” In a blog post, Blizzard explained how this will work.

How often will new seasons come? Joe Piepiora, the Associate Game Director of Diablo IV, explained that quarterly season updates are planned. This means the game will get four new seasons per year over several years, with the first set to start “shortly after launch.” A dedicated team has been formed for this purpose.
What happens in a season? For each season, you will need to create new heroes to explore the fresh content. Characters from previous seasons will be moved into the “Eternal Realm,” where you can continue to play with them.

This gives us several advantages, primarily the ability to shuffle the maps for Diablo IV with each season and create unique experiences in each of our quarterly releases.

Twitch bans Shylily, but no one tells her why
This is the ban in question: On August 15th, the ban was announced via the automated Twitter account StreamerBans. According to Shylily, the ban hit her just before she was about to go live for a collaboration with another VTuber. For her, this is the first suspension of this kind.
What are VTubers anyway? VTuber stands for Virtual YouTuber. These are streamers who only appear as a computer-animated 2D or 3D avatar. Typically, they use motion capture software to transfer their movements to the animated character. The avatars usually have an anime look, often featuring particularly attractive or cute anime girls. The well-known MMORPG streamer thus described the trend as “a hack for female streamers.” Particularly successful VTuber girls like Gawr Gura and Ironmouse can boast several million followers.
Why is Shylily criticizing Twitch? Such a ban is frustrating for all content creators, as they lose potential followers and revenue during this time. In a YouTube video on August 17th, Shylily explained what particularly bothers her and also addressed the lack of communication.
Why was Shylily banned? The VTuber states that she does not know the reason for the ban. She only received a message that there had been a violation of Twitch’s Terms of Service (TOS) in one of her live streams or VODs.
What has Shylily done? Shylily stated that she used Twitch’s appeal system to contest the suspension. In addition, she contacted support to find out the reasons for the ban. However, her appeal was rejected, and support merely informed her that they had reviewed the relevant material and the ban was justified.
Thus, Shylily still does not know what she did wrong or when exactly the violation was supposed to have occurred. The VTuber complains that it would be very difficult to avoid future violations.
Twitch is often criticized for its approach regarding bans. The most famous example is probably the case of the controversial streamer Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, known as DrDisrespect. He was permanently banned from the streaming platform in 2020, and the reasons for this remain unknown to this day.
What are the consequences of the ban for Shylily? The VTuber stated that she lost several hundred subscriptions due to the ban, which she had anticipated for the respective period. However, she will manage it. After all, unlike DrDisrespect, she is not facing a permanent ban.

What is a season in Destiny 2?
Seasons in Bungie’s space shooter last three months and regularly bring new content into the game. They usually relate somewhat to the larger overarching story of Destiny 2. However, there can also be smaller side stories that are told, apart from the current DLC “The Witch Queen”.
The main difference from classic DLCs or expansions is that these seasons distribute their content over three months, often connecting to the next season’s brackets or epilogues through cliffhangers. Additionally, they feature time-limited quests. Seasons also bring seasonal or PvP events.
Thus, Season 18 will once again introduce a new season pass and a new exotic season weapon. Once again, there will be many rewards for all players of Destiny 2 up to level 100, as well as additional items for season pass buyers. This includes a completely new seasonal armor set, cosmetics, materials, and bonus XP.

New legendary playlist ritual weapon

In Season 17, players could earn the machine gun “Command Chain” with its 3 playlist ornaments through the Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit playlists. Season 18 will likely also introduce a new ritual weapon to the game. However, which one it will be remains a mystery, as there are no leaks yet.

Weapons Master will be overhauled for Season 18
As Bungie mentioned in its blog post on July 21, they are not satisfied with the official Weapons Master Banshee-44 in the Tower. Therefore, in Season 18, he will first have his exo-hard drive formatted and will be updated.
Firstly, starting from Season 18, you will receive 50 reputation points (previously 25) for completing daily Weapons Master bounties, totaling 200 reputation points per day.

Legacy raid starts in Season 18 with Worlds First race

Arc 3.0 will disorient, electrify, chain, and reflect.
What comes after Arc 3.0? After Arc 3.0, you should expect that Bungie’s ability team will take a break for a while. The next ability may only be expected by Guardians in the Lightfall DLC or even later. This is likely the next class of Darkness along with Stasis.
Season 18 brings the new PvP mode “Eruption” to the Crucible labs.
The Halloween event starts in Season 18
In Season 18, in addition to the two Iron Banner events, there will also be a seasonal event fitting the theme. This time it will be creepy again as Bungie invites to the “Festival of the Lost”.
