Almost every MMORPG has the dungeon finder feature, but not everyone likes it. What is your opinion about it?
This is the Dungeon Finder: The feature is a group search tool for players who want to enter instanced content like dungeons or raids in MMORPGs. While in “old-school” MMORPGs players had to search for others manually and ask in chat, the dungeon finder does this automatically.
Over the years, the feature has spread within the genre, and hardly any modern MMORPG that offers instanced content is released today without the dungeon finder. However, it is not popular with all players, as highlighted by the heated debate about the feature in WoW Classic: Wrath of the Lich King.
Proponents of the Dungeon Finder argue that the feature saves them a lot of time. You don’t have to search manually for a group and wait forever for everyone to be ready, but are automatically placed in a suitable group.
Opponents of the Dungeon Finder believe that the feature removes a large part of the social interaction from the game. Without it, you have to interact with other players and actually play together, which is one of the most important aspects of an MMORPG.
Both sides provide arguments in discussions for their side and against the other, but a resolution is rare. Often, players like and dislike different things about the dungeon finder and set different priorities when playing.
This is how you can vote: You can express your opinion on the dungeon finder in the survey tool below. Everyone has one vote, and the choice cannot be undone.
Diese Umfrage ist geschlossen.
Tell us your opinion about the dungeon finder: Is it a practical feature, or has it killed social interaction in MMORPGs? Is it more important for you to find dungeons quickly and efficiently, or do you prefer the old system with more interaction? Let us know in the comments.
On the PC platform Steam, the person behind the gladiator simulation “Domina” uses the patch notes to spread his political views. This has negative consequences for him: alongside poor reviews from disgruntled players, he has now also been banned from the Steam forum for his own game. Valve has clearly threatened to throw him and his game off Steam.
What kind of game is this?
Domina is a €20 gladiator management simulation on Steam, released on April 3, 2017.
The reviews are actually “mostly positive” (78% positive). Critics also acknowledge that the game was developed with dedication.
Recently, however, many critical reviews have been coming in because the man behind the game is behaving toxic and aggressively. He uses the patch notes to spread controversial views.
The GameStar even calls the game “grandiose”:
Suddenly, patch notes are about OnlyFans, wasted semen, and masks
What messages does “Domina” spread in the patch notes?
As the site PC Gamer writes, it began to get strange in May 2022. In the patch notes for version 1.2.89 Beta, the developer wrote in a footnote (via steam):
Some men do not want to fight. They are weak. […] Strong moral fortitude is hard to attain. You earn it through hard work and sacrifice; it does not come through OnlyFans or Pornhub. No. Those damn things are demonic obsessions waiting to show you succubus breasts, hoping that you waste your semen, […]
In the patch notes for v 1.3.18, alongside some lines about how the game has been improved, there was also a statement about masks (via steam):
Take off the damn masks! Next time you are in a grocery store, try showing a woman your face. Be confident, fearless against THE LIES.
Conflict with Steam escalates
How has this escalated now? The controversial messages in the patch notes trigger a backlash. The game, which was previously well-reviewed on Steam, now has a “mostly negative” rating (only 33% positive) in the “Recent Reviews” section.
The reviews mainly revolve around statements made in the patch notes. The developer does not want to let this stand.
This apparently leads to an escalating conflict:
He writes these messages in the patch notes
Users write negative Steam reviews for Domina
The developer marks these reviews as fraudulent
Steam moderators later retract this marking
This enrages the developer greatly
In a post on August 6, the developer furiously announced about Steam’s treatment of him: It is “doubtful” whether Domina will receive further updates via Steam. If this bothers people, they should contact Gabe Newell (via steam).
His ship would sink, and “he would not give a shit about that”.
Some people support the developer in his views—especially the criticism of masks is well received by some. Others openly mock the man.
Steam bans developer, clearly threatens to remove from Steam
This is the escalation now: As the developer behind Domina himself writes, he has now been banned from the hub of his own game. He has violated the community guidelines for the second time, specifically, he has “flamed another user”.
Additionally, he is “abusing” people whom he bans from his hub. If he continues to violate the rules, it could “jeopardize our business relationship,” Valve writes to him.
In general, he should stop reversing decisions made by Steam moderators.
The Steam moderators are therefore threatening him quite clearly with the removal of him and his game from Steam.
This is how the developer reacts: He calls the people from Steam “Stupid Fucks”. They should confront him in a “man-to-man” fight.
They are: losers, clowns, garbage. The developer apparently has no desire for de-escalation.
It looks like it is only a matter of time before “Domina”‘s time on Steam is up.
Indie developers can sometimes be peculiar. A significantly better way of dealing with “a big corporation” was found last year by the developer of the Steam hit “Terraria” when Google crossed him:
Night elf fans in World of Warcraft are howling incessantly – at least that’s what Cortyn from MeinMMO thinks and wants to analyze.
The story of World of Warcraft is often a big topic. Not everyone likes where the story is heading; some would rather see their own vision of the story realized in WoW. But especially one group seems to have become very sensitive in recent months and years: hardcore night elf fans.
What’s going on with the night elves? The night elf nation has been under quite a lot of pressure in recent expansions. With the destruction of Teldrassil at the beginning of “Battle for Azeroth,” about 90% of the night elf population in the WoW universe died, and Tyrande’s quest for revenge began, which for many ended unsatisfactorily as Sylvanas did not die completely but has to search for souls in the Maw.
Datamining from the Alpha of Dragonflight shows that night elves will also play an important role in the upcoming expansion. It is likely that an incident will occur where the Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage must descend into the Shadowlands to facilitate Ysera’s rebirth in Azeroth – a trade-off to maintain balance.
Even though the exact details of the quest, the decision-making process, and all the particulars are not yet known, the outcry in the night elf community has already been enormous. Story writers are once again being severely insulted, the “everything was better back then” faction is on the rise, and there is generally so much criticism of the night elves in the last two years that I’ll casually summarize this as “howling”.
The demand is clear: things should finally get better for the night elves; they should no longer suffer setbacks, and rosy times (without thorns!) should dawn, during which the nation can thrive without problems once again.
Night elves introduced as a suffering race
Losses and setbacks are natural in a story, and some suffer more than others. Night elves should actually be used to this. Already in Warcraft III, they endured much. Their elven forests were largely desecrated and deforested by the orcs, the demigod Cenarius was slain, and the World Tree Hyjal lost the power that made the night elves immortal during the explosion of the Emerald Dream.
It is precisely these stories of loss and coping that have sparked such strong interest in night elves—along with their culture and everything that makes the Kaldorei what they are.
And yes, in the end, this dissatisfaction with story developments is somehow natural. One is no longer in the process of falling freshly in love with the game world and the characters; they have already grown close to one’s heart, and now one wants to see how the story unfolds and hopes that they are happy and satisfied. I can understand that desire, but if you think about it longer, it simply falls apart.
The night elves are who they are because their nation has repeatedly been exposed to massive problems. Whether it was the first invasion of the Legion 10,000 years ago with the shattering of the world, the Third War in Warcraft III, or just recently the War of the Thorns.
Night elves have more story than any other race
To put it simply: the complaints of some night elf fans really annoy me. The most absurd accusation is that Blizzard always provides so little new story for the night elves. Every other race supposedly received so much more story, while the night elves merely occupy a minor role and are almost “forgotten.”
I often wonder if players really believe that or are just still half-stuck in the emerald dream. Since “Cataclysm,” night elves have been prominently featured in almost every expansion and have had several interesting and exciting quest lines, if not entire areas devoted solely to their culture.
In Cataclysm, there was much new night elf lore. The “old” areas were at least overhauled. Ashenvale, Feralas, Darkshore, and the Felwood—all traditional night elf areas offered new stories with deeper backgrounds. Additionally, there was Hyjal, the sacred World Tree of the night elves, which players had previously only known from Warcraft III.
Although Mists of Pandaria focused heavily on the Pandaren, night elves also had a very interesting appearance here. The search for the Spring of Youth in Krasarang is one of the most fascinating and interesting quest lines revolving around the Kaldorei. How they attempt to regain their immortality—and what they are willing to sacrifice for it.
The “Legion” expansion could have simply been called “Kaldorei-Story.” The zone of Azsuna mainly revolves around ancient night elf culture and the spirits of elves who lived many millennia ago. It provided more information about Azshara, her followers, the faith of Elune, and magic within the night elf nation—and on top of that, it included the first confirmed homosexual relationship between two night elves. The same applied to Val’sharah. Here, it strongly focused on druidism, the Emerald Dream, and the priesthood of Elune, as well as the former aristocracy of the night elves. The dungeon “Ravencrest” is pure night elf story.
This image of Tyrande drew many to the night elves.
It continued into Suramar. Here, the Shal’dorei, night elves who have developed differently, are in focus. There was also contact with the Moon Guard, a legendary order of night elf mages who fought in the War of the Ancients.
Oh, and before I forget: The Tomb of Sargeras had an incredibly interesting number of night elf details. After all, the entire raid is built in an ancient Elune temple, which also had an additional dungeon.
Battle for Azeroth had the War of the Thorns, the destruction of Teldrassil, the loss and retaking of Darkshore, Tyrande’s ritual that turned her into the Night Warrior, the escape of the elves, and a whole lot of war actions during the war campaign alongside Shandris.
Shadowlands featured the Night Fae campaign, which could easily be called the “Night Elf campaign,” as it primarily focused on the search for Tyrande, the souls of the night elves, and even a confrontation with the moon goddess Elune herself.
And all of this is just the night elf content that comes to my mind at first. I haven’t even mentioned new stories about the Shen’dralar and other splinter groups.
So, when night elf fans complain about a lack of story, I carefully point the finger at Goblins, Gnomes, Worgen, Tauren, and Blood Elves. Their stories have hardly moved since their introduction if a leader was taken down somewhere.
Absolutely every other race in World of Warcraft can only wish for so much “screen time” and such an important role in the story, whether in terms of the big cosmic threats or the small “daily quests.”
As for representation in pure “story time,” the night elves have it incredibly comfortable and should be glad that they will probably play a more significant role in Dragonflight as well.
Tyrande and Malfurion during the attack on Darkshore.
Night elves are the exception to the “Faction Tax”
This is not often discussed in the German-speaking world, but in relation to the Warcraft story, people often mock the “Faction Tax.” This refers to a concept where there are always balancing factors in the story. If something big happens with the Alliance, something similar must shortly happen with the Horde to balance things out.
The Alliance loses Teldrassil and thus Darnassus as a capital? Then shortly thereafter, the Horde loses Undercity.
The Horde loses Vol’jin as warchief in the battle against the Legion? Then almost simultaneously, King Varian Wrynn bites the dust on the Alliance side.
Sylvanas exits as the leader of the Horde in the story? Poof, Anduin disappears from the Alliance as well.
The night elves currently hold a very interesting and fascinating special position here, in my opinion. The quasi-genocide caused by the burning of Teldrassil, in which about 90% of the night elves died, is the only major case where there is no counterpart and thus no “Faction Tax.”
Of course, they are the only race that had to suffer so massively—but that also presents a rather exciting special situation.
Once a huge race, now decimated and having to deal with many problems simultaneously. This is exciting for role players and should be for everyone looking forward to stories from quests or books. The possibilities that arise here for storytelling are fascinating and can bring more individual fates into focus.
However, it’s not just the criticism of the “evil” story itself that is getting on my nerves, but another detail that has become increasingly irritating in recent years.
It’s the desire to change the story of a game, book, or movie that I always find extremely problematic.
That’s why I also think it’s terrible when people want to pressure the developers and story writers to steer the night elf narrative in a specific direction where everything runs perfectly immediately. Because that’s boring. After a major setback, there’s usually a struggle, an adjustment with sacrifices and changes, to create something new from it. Give the developers the freedom to tell it as they see fit.
I fully support pointing out obvious errors in the story and wanting to ensure that the lore remains logical and that obvious contradictions do not occur. A good example was the “Red Shirt Guy” who pointed out to Blizzard years ago that a certain dwarf was not dead, as the developers believed.
But when players try to take control of the exact direction of the story itself, I find that problematic. You don’t have to like every story decision, but in the end, it’s still a story whose content is created by artists.
Malfurions departure creates space for new stories
Finally, I want to end on a positive note. I love night elves. I regularly play one in role play because they have such an interesting and rich history. The night elves have always been a matriarchal society, where women held the power—be it during the reign of Queen Azshara or all the millennia thereafter under the priestesses of Elune. They have been a tribe resembling amazons, very connected to nature, and their faith and closeness to all the “mythical beings” such as dryads, ancients, and demigods has given them a unique mystique.
This is something I think has been somewhat diluted in recent years. The War of the Thorns with all its implications brought this “wildness” back to the forefront and reminded me why I always thought night elves were so cool.
Tyrande and Shandris could take on more important roles – without Malfurion.
If Malfurion, as one of the most powerful personalities among the night elves, now disappears from the scene, then the Kaldorei will again be almost completely under Tyrande’s rule as High Priestess of Elune. This allows for much development back to the “old” night elves as we once knew them and simultaneously has the potential for internal conflicts with elves who have embraced the new lifestyle alongside different races or in dealing with magic.
Malfurion’s departure is, if it comes to pass, of course sad for all who wanted to see this relationship deepen at long last. Even after 10,000 years of separation, they still do not have a happy ending.
However, if Malfurion disappears and a new World Tree is planted, it has an incredible amount of potential—and one should simply look forward to that. Because if the night elves were to have a “happy ending” now, it is likely that their character development as a race would also come to an end.
And then the night elf fans would indeed have a reason to cry.

The German scene in League of Legends is booming in 2022. Now, a second division match of the Prime League has reached about 70,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch. Because the biggest German Twitch streamer for League of Legends, NoWay4U, faced off against Eintracht Frankfurt with his LoL team “NNO” in a playoff match.
Why is one considered a retiree in LoL at such a young age? The fan account of “No Need Orga” (NNO) refers to the team as a “retirement team.” Because NNO consists of some of the biggest German Twitch streamers for LoL, some of whom have already passed the age of 30.
additionally, South Korean professionals must fulfill mandatory military service and cannot avoid it indefinitely – unless you are Faker
Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger (30) is the second largest German Twitch streamer and plays competitively in LoL with success.
5 of the biggest German Twitch streamers for LoL play in a team together
Who plays in the team? In No Need Orga, 5 Germans play, all of whom have a Twitch channel, and these are among the largest LoL streamers in Germany, as measured by the viewer hours in the last 7 days:
So many were watching: On the official channel of the Prime League, nearly 45,000 people tuned in. Many also watched the match on the channel of Jona “JustJohnny” Schmitt. He had Maxim, a legendary caster in LoL, as a guest.
Both channels together peaked at over 70,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch (via reddit).
JustJohnny and Maxim had so much fun in their stream that they made it onto reddit with “champion imitations,” where the English-speaking community was astonished to find that Germans actually have a sense of humor.

“JustJohnny” is, by the way, the second largest German LoL streamer, statistically placing him between NoWay4USir and his teammate Tolkin in recent days.
Grand Final on August 23
What happens next? In the final of Division 2 of the Prime League, NNO will face Hertha BSC. The match will take place on August 23.
The streamer JustJohnny has already announced that he will have Maxim and HandofBlood with him.
This could turn out to be quite a spectacle.
A driving force behind the boom of the Prime League: He founded his own team.
Toxic fans are also a problem in German LoL
Is there also a bittersweet aspect? Caster Johnny addressed the fans almost two weeks ago in an appeal: German viewers should be less toxic in the Twitch chat and not immediately type every hateful thought into the world.
It seems to be a problem that LoL cannot shake, no matter who is currently playing.

MultiVersus is a free-to-play brawler that lets characters from the “Warner Brothers” universe fight against each other in colorful battles. MeinMMO has looked at all the characters, examined their strengths and weaknesses, and compiled a tier list of the best fighters.
How did this tier list come about? To deliver you the best fighters from MultiVersus, we look at current trends from players and professionals and mix that with a dose of our own experience.
Every player perceives the fighters differently, prefers certain playstyles, or may not connect with a character at all. Therefore, view our tier list more as a recommendation and not as fixed fighters that must be present in every match.
Whenever there are balance changes in MultiVersus or new characters, we will adjust our list and keep you regularly updated.
More about the author Maik Schneider: For Maik, games need to offer a challenge. He wants to be tested and improve after being played against the wall. Fighting games are exactly what that is about.
Street Fighter 5 was his entry into the genre in 2016, and he trained hundreds of hours with his arcade stick until the combos finally landed. For a while, he lost interest, but with MultiVersus, he returns to fighting games and particularly likes to use the DC heroes to “smash” his opponents.
MultiVersus: Tier List – 1vs1
S-Tier
Finn, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark
A-Tier
Jake, Shaggy, Tom & Jerry, Harley Quinn, Superman, Batman
B-Tier
Garnet, Wonder Woman, LeBron, Giant from space, Velma, Taz
C-Tier
Dog, Steven Universe
MultiVersus: S-Tier – Best Fighters in 1vs1
Finn – Assassin
The character from “Adventure Time” wreaks havoc in Season 1 through the arenas of MultiVersus. His attacks have huge hitboxes, allowing for easy hits, and he has strong smash attacks both up and down.
Additionally, he has his crazy coin shop through which Finn can acquire advantages, a good pace in combat, and strong attack chains. Overall good, easy to learn, hard to master.
The classic character from Warner Brothers was considered the over-fighter in the early days after release, and a nerf has already been announced. Mages are generally considered very strong, but also harder to master.
But Bugs makes it easy for you, as he offers strong close combat attacks with large hitboxes and can cause a lot of chaos and damage with his special attacks, knocking enemies out of the picture in seconds.
Arya Stark – Assassin
Arya is striving for greater things following the changes in Season 1 and is a very nimble fighter with a brutal side special attack. This allows for an additional charged strike after a hit.
Moreover, Arya’s moves are easy to connect. New combinations can always be found, making her playstyle hard to predict if you have a few combos down.
Harley Quinn, Tom & Jerry, Jake, Superman, Velma, Wonder Woman, Arya Stark
B-Tier
Dog, Steven Universe, Shaggy, LeBron, Taz
C-Tier
Garnet, Giant from space
MultiVersus: S-Tier – Best Fighters in 2vs2
Finn – Assassin
The swordsman rocks in the team playlist too. His speed and large hitboxes help protect your teammates while dealing a lot of damage.
With his shop ability, you can also adapt your playstyle during the match and adjust even better to teammates and opponents. Right now, Finn is super strong and has virtually no downsides.
Bugs Bunny – Mage
Bugs also annoys in team battles and drives your opponents to despair – if you can handle his tools. With his ACME magic, you constantly spread some nonsense on the battlefield and opponents are always at risk of taking a hard, unexpected hit.
In addition, his strength in close combat makes the mage Bugs Bunny an all-rounder who is capable of handling any task in the right hands.
Batman – Bruiser
Batman scores in team battles with his speed and can switch sides of the arena in the blink of an eye. This allows you to focus on the enemy fighter who actually doesn’t want to engage in close combat.
If you can use Batman’s insane speed to throw off opponents, your teammate has enough space to deal a lot of damage.
In our tier list, we rank the fighters from MultiVersus based on their subjective strengths. We mix our opinions on the fighters from the editorial team with trends from players and professionals and look at the current rankings in the game.
This is what the rankings mean:
S-Tier: Very strong, possible nerf on the way
A-Tier: Well balanced, not too strong or too weak
B-Tier: Somewhat weaker, but still a good choice
C-Tier: Currently struggles to compete
However, keep in mind that every player perceives the fighters differently and there can be significant deviations between different tier lists that you find. What is a C-Tier for us might be overpowered in the right hands.
We aim to reach an average of the general opinions and are also happy for you to help with that.
Leave us a comment if you see fighters at other levels or if you want to share your opinion about the fighters.

In The Division 2 there is a very special exotic light machine gun that not only reminds us of a former elite boss but also of a major farming exploit. MeinMMO takes a look back at the past of The Division and tells you the story of the legendary Loot King.
Who or what is Bullet King? In The Division, the predecessor of The Division 2, Bullet King was initially just the name of one of many elite bosses in the open world. He only became truly famous when a groundbreaking exploit made him the favorite farming spot for players.
Thanks to the boss of the Rykers faction named “Bullet King,” an agent in The Division could obtain superior weapons, Phoenix Credits, and, with some luck, even high-end weapons in no time.
To achieve this, players simply traveled to the safehouse “Autumns Hope” and made a quick detour to the street to the left of it. There, the Rykers boss was waiting to be killed. His guards, however, were spared. After that, players fast traveled back to the safehouse, and meanwhile, Bullet King spawned again. The fun could thus begin anew.
Bullet King became a cult figure in The Division due to an exploit.
In a way, Bullet King is sort of the first loot cave of The Division. His lucrative farming spot spread through the community like wildfire and players enjoyed one or more audiences with him.
The exploit, however, also significantly disrupted the crafting economy of The Division at the time. It took Ubisoft a good 5 days to respond and implement a fix that removed all named bosses from the open world as soon as they were defeated for the first time. This made it impossible to exploit this exploit and thus also Bullet King further. But by then, many players were already well-equipped.
A loot legend was born: However, the royal influence of Bullet King extended far beyond patch 1.0.2. The Rykers boss had already become a cult figure among players and the ultimate “Loot King” about whom legendary stories are still told today.
In the weeks and months that followed, the community repeatedly expressed desires for some kind of monument for him. Ubisoft eventually complied.
The Division honors Bullet King as a true legend
Honor to whom honor is due: In a later update, Bullet King received his monument. First in The Division and later even in The Division 2.
Similar to how Destiny 2 once did with its famous loot cave, Ubisoft also created a tribute to the Bullet King farm spot in The Division.
Attentive agents discovered it after update 1.2 on a semi-truck parked right at the corner where the former elite enemy could also be found. It featured a magnificent Bullet King graffiti in vibrant colors.
The location quickly spread, and players rushed there to salute the King once again.
Many agents saluted before the Bullet King graffiti in The Division, as DANNYonPC
And even the successor The Division 2 received further tribute for him with Title Update 8, when the exotic LMG Bullet King (translated as “Ball Hell”) came to the game, which is also named after the popular elite enemy.
For this, Ubisoft outfitted the standard LMG IWI Negev with massive gold and wrapped a long ammunition belt around it. The Ball Hell was born and dropped exclusively from Rikers bosses.
Even the exotic talents of the weapon are as unique in The Division 2 as its predecessor:
The Ball Hell practically never needs to be reloaded, as its magazine mod is “a miraculous magazine with seemingly endless capacity.”
If you hit an enemy with 100 bullets, you automatically get ammunition back. So you can afford to hold down the trigger a little longer if something tries to crawl away from the DPS monster.
Additionally, the LMG offers a group buff that also brings some ammunition to your allies. Especially when playing with directives like “Ammo Shortage,” this is helpful.
Bullet King becomes even better when combined with the Sharpshooter specialization, as these LMGs are optimally supported.
Finally, anyone inspecting the weapon can also read a written tribute from Bullet Queen, the sister of Bullet King and the boss from one of the side missions in the Warlords of New York expansion.
Let’s drink to my brother. If he had used the [weapon], he would have never run out of bullets.
Bullet Queen
The Exo “Ball Hell” in The Division 2.
This is how you get the exotic LMG Ball Hell: With its strong advantages, everyone playing The Division 2 actually wants a Ball Hell. And for agents who already possess it, the Exotic is solidly integrated into at least one LMG build, so players can just hold down the trigger.
If you’re already level 40 and the Exotic is still missing from your collection, then based on our experience, you have the best chances of getting it as a drop from the end boss in the Tombs or Wallstreet mission. The drop chance exists in every difficulty level, but the higher you select the difficulty, the higher your chances become.
The Bullet King trick is still used by players today
After the farming exploit with Bullet King, players began developing theories about how the boss spawn mechanics in The Division worked and how they could be exploited.
Ubisoft hasn’t completely removed this bug from the game to this day. You can still take advantage of this old trick while looting, for example in the skyscraper “The Summit” on every boss floor.
The elevator takes you to floor 10 in the Summit.
Play on the difficulty level “Normal” until you reach, for example, floor 10. Then return to the lobby and change the difficulty level to “Legendary”.
Afterward, restart the floor. Just like back then with Bullet King, focus only on the elite enemy, ensuring that at least 1 or more NPCs stay alive.
Once the boss is dead, just grab its top loot and return to the lobby.
As long as you leave 1 NPC alive, you will retain the respective floor as a checkpoint, allowing you to farm the elite enemies there, which can also drop Exotics, over and over again.
Did you already know the story of Bullet King and how it inspired one of the best Exotics in The Division 2? And were you perhaps even there when players ruthlessly farmed the Rykers boss? Feel free to let us know in the comments and tell us your coolest memory of The Division.
Currently, The Division 2 is once again on the rise. Season 10 will bring more sets and Exotics to the game. Additionally, the new content that Ubisoft has planned could finally unveil a major secret of the cover shooter. You can find out more about this here:
In Dragonflight, warlocks can summon some hefty demons from World of Warcraft. Even huge pit lords are included.
With the new talent system, a lot changes in Dragonflight for World of Warcraft. Although Blizzard mainly tries to incorporate the “evergreens” into the talents, most classes still receive a few new talents. One of these is now available for the demonology warlock, who can summon some of the most powerful demons in the WoW universe: pit lords.
What do warlocks learn in Dragonflight? Demonology warlocks can learn the talent “Gul’dan’s Ambition” in Dragonflight. This is an enhancement to the “Nether Portal,” allowing warlocks to summon additional demons for 15 seconds whenever they spend soul shards.
“Gul’dan’s Ambition” ensures that at the end of the Nether Portal, one additional demon is summoned, namely a pit lord. How strong this pit lord is depends on the soul shards spent during the activation of Nether Portal.
As is common with other demons, the duration of the pit lord can be extended by 15 seconds if the warlock summons their tyrant.
Pit lords are among the most powerful demons in the WoW cosmos.
What kind of demons are these? Pit lords have been familiar to most players since Warcraft III – it was revealed there that the orcs were corrupted by the pit lord Mannoroth. Mannoroth was subsequently killed by Grommash Hellscream, freeing the orcs from their bloodthirst.
Since then, pit lords have appeared from time to time, mostly as raid bosses or particularly powerful adversaries. They are usually generals or other commanders of the Legion and represent some of the most powerful demons available. Hence, Magtheridon was captured with great difficulty in the shattered world.
What is the problem with this? At first glance, such a ability seems really cool – but upon closer inspection, it could cause some visual problems. A pit lord is quite large, even in the warlock variant. When he charges at a boss, he will likely take up a large part of the field of view, which is especially nerve-wracking for melee fighters. Especially considering that multiple warlocks in a raid could all have a pit lord active simultaneously.
Typically, pets from other players in group and raid content are somewhat “shrunk” for other players, but a pit lord is still an impressive sight.
For the power fantasy of a crazed warlock who can summon the mightiest demons, this is probably a blessing.
Semiconductors are found in graphics cards and processors. Now researchers have tested a new material that could make GPUs much faster in the future. However, it will likely still be a long way off, as the researchers explain.
Semiconductors are small components and are found in many electronic devices. In everyday life, you encounter semiconductors in many places. Without these parts, you wouldn’t be able to use your computer, your smartphone, or any other everyday devices. Without semiconductors, you couldn’t even turn the ignition key in your car.
A research team has now experimented with new materials. They found that these materials are much better than the silicon currently used in semiconductors. MeinMMO explains what it’s all about.
New material could significantly increase semiconductor performance
What is currently in semiconductors? Currently, the industry mainly uses silicon to produce semiconductors. However, silicon has the disadvantage of not being able to conduct heat well. Devices with silicon semiconductors therefore always require a comprehensive cooling system to prevent the chips from overheating.
The industry also tries to make the chips in their devices smaller and faster. But developers are now facing the natural limits of silicon.
What is the new discovery? A team of researchers from MIT, the University of Houston, and other institutions conducted experiments and found that cubic boron arsenide is theoretically a much better material for semiconductors (via meche.mit.edu).
Jungwoo Shin, the lead author of the study, described the new material as a potential “Game Changer”:
Cubic boron arsenide conducts heat 10 times better than conventional silicon.
The study also shows that cubic boron arsenide conducts both electrons and its positively charged counterpart, the “electron hole” (or defect electron), better than silicon.
Both points are weaknesses of silicon. The poor thermal conductivity and the conductivity of electrons restrict the speed of semiconductors. This could mean a huge performance boost for electronic devices.
It could still take years until the new material is used
When could that happen? So far, cubic boron arsenide has only been produced and tested in small, inconsistent lab batches. This is still very labor-intensive and costly.
Therefore, it is also still unclear whether cubic boron arsenide can be produced economically. That would also be a prerequisite for it to potentially replace silicon in semiconductors in the long term.
Gang Chen, a professor in MIT’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, who is also part of the team, explained that scientists also took years to get silicon to the level of purity that chip manufacturers require for their semiconductors. He himself refers to the material as a “promising candidate for the next generation of electronics.” (via fortune.com (Paywall)).
Tips for new hardware: If you are considering upgrading your PC this year and, for example, buying a graphics card, you should definitely get informed about AMD’s RX 7000 and Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series. Because there are already lots of rumors:
The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online will soon receive Update 35 and the dungeon DLC “Lost Depths”. This continues the storyline “Legacy of the Bretons”. MeinMMO provides an overview of the most important new features.
[toc]
When will Lost Depths be released?
The new dungeon DLC will be released on August 22, 2022 for PC/Mac & Stadia. For Xbox and Playstation, the release will be on September 6, 2022.

The time is not yet known, but you can check the server status at any time here (via ESO Server Status).
Do you need ESO+ for Lost Depths?
With ESO+, you automatically have access to the dungeon DLCs like Lost Depths. Alternatively, you can permanently unlock the DLC in the Crown Store.
What are the biggest new features of Lost Depths?
As usual, a dungeon DLC brings 2 new dungeons to ESO. We will briefly introduce them here.
The new dungeon “Kentertiefen”
What bosses can you expect in Kentertiefen?
Euphotischer Torwächter – The first boss is a Hadoliden with a two-handed weapon, who moves a lot during the fight.
Varzunon – The 2nd boss of the dungeon is a bone colossus who can summon skeleton adds.
Zelvraak – The final boss of the dungeon is a powerful lich.
What secret bosses can you expect in Kentertiefen?
Mzugru – Defeating this boss gives all group members 10% more maximum health. However, damage taken will reduce damage by 50% for 3 seconds (40s cooldown).
Xzyviian – Defeating this boss grants you 10% additional maximum Magicka. You can also activate a synergy for additional damage.
Chralzak – Defeating this boss gives you 10% additional maximum stamina. You also receive additional stamina regeneration when your stamina is low (60s cooldown).
Additionally, you will encounter completely new creatures in ESO: the Pangrit. They are described as small, beast-like creatures that live alongside the Hadoliden. They visually resemble the already known Guar.
Here you see a Hadoliden (red) and the Pangrits (blue).
What are Hadoliden? They are lobster-like crustacean monsters.
What sets are available in Kentertiefen?
You can obtain a light, medium, and heavy set with 5 pieces. Additionally, there is a set piece of the respective monster set for the head in veteran mode (even without hard mode). You receive this set piece randomly in light, medium, or heavy.

Euphotischer Torhüter (Monster Set)
1 – 129 stamina regeneration
2 – When you dodge roll, it creates a Hadoliden shell. If you are within 5 meters of the Hadoliden shell, it absorbs all incoming direct-damage attacks. After 1 second, the Hadoliden shell explodes, dealing poison damage to all enemies within 5 meters. This effect can occur once every 20 seconds and scales with your Magicka or weapon power, whichever is higher.
This image contains an error by ZOS. This is not the “Stone Accord” set, but rather the “Inevitability of the Grave” set.
The new dungeon “Erdwurz-Enklave”
What bosses can you expect in the Erdwurz-Enklave?
Corruption of the Stone – This boss is a stone dragon.
Corruption of the Root – This boss is a Lumi who summons adds.

This effect can occur every 15 seconds and scales with your Magicka or weapon power, whichever is higher.
The “Stone Accord” set is suitable for healers.
What are the most important changes that affect all players?
Along with the dungeon DLC, Update 35 will be released, which affects all players. This is regardless of whether you have access to the DLC or not.
Changes to the combat system
The planned changes to the combat system were a major topic of discussion. Many expressed dissatisfaction with the planning. You can learn more about it in our post:
What changes to the combat system were originally planned? The change refers to light and heavy attacks and combat effects:
The damage from light and heavy attacks no longer scales with attributes. This reduces damage by 6 – 11%.
Combat effects that provide you with buffs and increase your damage will last longer.
However, ZOS has somewhat backtracked due to the criticism, with Gilliam from ZOS’s Combat Team announcing the following plan change in the ESO forum:
“Ongoing” effects over time maintain their revised duration of 20 seconds or more, a 2-second interval, and a strength coefficient per second of 105 (their scaling divided by the duration) with base costs of 135 per second (2,700+).
Static effects over time regain their original duration of 10 to 15 seconds, a 1 second interval, and a strength coefficient per second of 0.14. Compared to regular servers (0.1575), this still falls but not as much as before (0.105). The base costs remain at 270 per second (2,700+).
Prologue quest for Update 36: “The Druid King’s Excess”
This is how you can start the prologue quest for Update 36:
Obtain the free quest “Letter from Druidine Laurel” from the Crown Store (or)
Depending on which alliance you belong to, head to Daggerfall, Davon’s Watch, or Vulkhel Guard, find Druidine Laurel from the Stone Lore and speak with her.
By completing the quest, you will receive an action: Blossom Presentation.
New sets from PvP
You can now obtain the following sets from the justice reward:
Peryite’s Weakening (light)
2 – 129 Magicka and weapon power
3 – 424 resistance to critical hits
4 – 1,487 offensive penetration
5 – You deal 6% increased damage to players who block. If you deal damage to an enemy who is immune to crowd control with light attacks, weakness is applied for 10 seconds, reducing their Magicka and stamina regeneration by 248. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
Nocturnal’s Deceit (medium)
4 – 1,487 offensive penetration
3 – 424 resistance to critical hits
4 – 129 stamina regeneration
5 – If you impair an enemy with a greater impairment, a greater enhancement with duration is removed from the target. If you impair an enemy with a lesser impairment, a lesser enhancement with duration is removed from the target. These effects can occur once every 2 seconds.
Maras’ Comfort (heavy)
2 – 1,487 armor
3 – 424 resistance to critical hits
4 – 4% incoming healing
5 – If a negative effect is removed from you, 2,111 health is restored. If you take damage and have at least 6 negative effects, all negative effects are cleansed. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds.
Since the release of the base game, many features have been added to make it easier to start with the MMORPG. The most important features are briefly introduced here:
OneTamriel – You can travel to any region, and everything scales so that it matches your level.
Level-up rewards – You receive additional rewards upon leveling up that are useful.
Group Finder – You can queue for dungeons without having a fixed group.
Area Guide – The area guide can be accessed from the map menu (M), giving you an overview of your quest progress in that area.
Faster leveling – With the change to the champion point system, the amount of experience points required for CP leveling (up to CP 1800) has been significantly reduced.
A new tutorial – The new tutorial was introduced with the Blackwood chapter. In it, you learn the first steps of the game, and at the end of your exploration, you can choose where in ESO you want to start. You can enter the locations through portals.
If you want to learn more about events in ESO, check out our ESO Event Ticker. There you will find out if an ESO event is currently happening and what rewards are available for you.

FIFA 22 is slowly coming to an end, and most players are using insane teams in Ultimate Team. A good opportunity to experiment – this time we tried out the biggest striker in the game.
The summer in Ultimate Team is always a strange time. Events like Futties or the newly started Pre-Season ensure that all players finally have really good teams. But then you quickly realize: When all footballers on the pitch have almost perfect stats, they hardly differ from each other.
That’s why we started experimenting a bit in FUT. Recently, we tried out the slowest striker in FIFA and had a lot of fun with the card. This time we will take a closer look at the biggest striker.
Who is the biggest striker in FIFA 22? That is Fejsal Mulic, a Serbian forward currently under contract with South Korean club Seongnam FC.
Mulic looks very different on his card than in the game
Mulic stands at an impressive 2.03 meters tall. He is only outdone by Tomás Holy (2.06 m), and only Andries Noppert (2.03 m) and Aaron Chapman (2.03 m) are equal to Mulic. However, all three are goalkeepers – Mulic is the tallest outfield player in FIFA 22.
Mulic scores goals – but not as you might think
That was the plan: With such a towering player, the goal was clear from the start: stand tall upfront and nod in the ball to easily overcome the puny center-backs and goalkeepers with a power header.
Dribbling, passing, crossing – that was to be taken care of by the Insignes and Riberys. Their stats suited that role much better than those on Mulic’s bronze card.
With his 75 pace, the Serbian forward is indeed noticeably more agile than Madrigal from our last experiment, but his 56 dribbling and 63 shot stats do not indicate a foot-oriented player but rather a head-oriented scorer.
At least that’s what I thought.
This is how Fejsal Mulic plays: Mulic got the spot up front in my team, surrounded by agile and ball-secure dribblers who were supposed to feed him with crosses. But it quickly became clear: the header plan didn’t work in Division Rivals.
I fired cross after cross into the box, but the ball just wouldn’t land on the striker’s forehead. And when it did, it would fly anywhere – but not towards the goal.
Even if you hit the ball with your head, goalkeepers don’t have to be too worried
Instead, my opponent’s center-backs always intercepted the balls as if they couldn’t care less that Mulic was a good half a head taller than them. They jumped into the air, headed the ball and cleared the situation.
This doesn’t mean that Mulic was a complete failure. On the contrary, he surprisingly managed to score 4 goals in his very first game – just none with his head, even though I did everything I could. Instead, he coolly converted two penalties, one low shot into the corner and, cheekily, a rather complicated-looking volley shot. That went much better than expected.
Still, I personally took the last goal. The net was open, the ball was perfectly placed – but instead of using his head, Mulic slammed the ball into the top corner with his laces. A beautiful goal, but I was actually hoping for something uglier.
Reason to celebrate for the giant even without header goals
I have now found that while the giant striker is not a header monster, he is still not harmless. The thought was: In Rivals, there are already very strong cards in defense, so I’ll try weaker opponents and the AI in Squad Battles.
I’ll make it short: Here too, no header goals would fall. Not from corners, not from free kicks, and nothing from open play. The striker stood out on the pitch with his 2.03 meters and sometimes towered over his opponents by more than a head – but that didn’t make him any more dangerous with headers.
So far, after several games, I still haven’t managed to push Mulic towards a header goal – but that might also be my fault.
It seems to me that height in FIFA 22 is generally not the determining factor in heading. Too often, my attacker was regularly outsmarted by smaller but perhaps better-positioned or higher-jumping center-backs.
Nevertheless, this card still provided a lot of fun. Because just like with the slowest striker, I had to play more creatively than usual to put Mulic in good positions.
This is not necessarily efficient and doesn’t help much in getting closer to a victory – but it is a good exercise to learn new tricks in the offensive. And I really didn’t expect that Mulic would finish so well with his foot.

It’s 2008 and the AOL Instant Messenger is dead. With these words, the somewhat quirky simulation Emily is Away <3 welcomes you and wants to move you to Facebook, as that is the hot trend in 2008 that you now find yourself in. MyMMO author Mark Sellner has dared the time travel for you and is thrilled.
Emily is Away <3 is a strange game. To make that statement, just take a quick look at the Steam page of this hidden gem. What greets me there is a very pixelated profile picture, a strangely looking Facebook logo in a browser reminiscent of Windows XP times.
Paired with the game’s subtitle “It’s 2008 and AIM is dead.” For the younger generation explained: AIM stands for AOL Instant Messenger, which was something like WhatsApp before smartphones existed and less practical and nice, but still used by a lot of people. Until Facebook became big.
And exactly at this time, Emily is Away <3 pulls you back, as the entire game takes place in a Facebook interface from 2008. You play yourself in the last years of your high school career and have just signed up on Facenook, always much later than everyone else.
Facenook is not a typo, that’s what the in-game version of the platform is called and thus your gaming hub. Besides that, there are also playlists on YouToob and a lot of chats.
So much can be gathered from the screenshots on Steam, and that was more than enough to tempt me into investing €8.19 and try Emily is Away <3.

Emily is Away <3 Launch Trailer
Your political uncle is getting mad about vegans
The game starts and I see a Facebook timeline that looks quite similar to mine today. The title shows me posts from a “wine-drinking mother” and my political uncle, who doesn’t find vegans that cool. I can then react to these, as is the norm on Facebook today, with an emoji.
Before I complete that, I even get to choose whether I want to play on Windows or a Mac. This changes the default backgrounds and the mouse cursor to perfect the time travel experience.
Once I have done that, I can view my memories, and then Emily is Away <3 jumps me into the year 2008, allowing me to register at Facenook for the first time. So I choose a name and a profile picture, register, and I’m in the middle of it.
In front of me is the empty Facenook profile of Mark, who is still a bit desperate trying to figure out what the game actually wants from him. A few seconds later, I receive a friend request from Mat Gursky, I accept it, and he writes to me immediately.
The Facenook of today simply isn’t as cool as it used to be
We seem to be good friends, because he happily with the charm of 2008 teen internet language about the fact that I’m finally on Facenook too. We chat for a while about school and about our mutual friends Evelyn and Emily.
Apparently, we’re both going to a party together; I just have to decide which one. Shortly thereafter, Mat has to leave again, he signs off and is no longer reachable. That’s just how it was pre-WhatsApp in 2008. A memory of a time that one has almost forgotten.
“Omgggggg you are finally here”
I hardly have time to indulge in nostalgia, as the next friend request comes fluttering in. Emily Singer wants to write with me. She is hosting one of the parties that I should be invited to. At the same time, Evelyn contacts me, who is throwing the other party.
A sound rings out that I haven’t heard in years, but still sounds strangely familiar. Evelyn has nudged me. I nudge back and grin like a fool at my screen. By the way, Emily also contacts me right away and is happy to finally see me on Facenook.
Evelyn takes the true 2008 route of first contact and writes me a joyous “omgggggg Mark, you are finally here”. I feel caught. In the chats with the different characters of the game, I always have multiple response options.
I rarely felt so much like I was taken back to my school days
These always offer enough variance and are worded in such a way that I hardly notice that I can’t type freely. The fact that I do have to choose a response, which isn’t just there, but that I must type in random keys on my keyboard to enter the pre-formulated response myself contributes to this. What initially annoys me provides a high level of immersion and is quite superb.
Simultaneously, I have chat conversations with Evelyn and Emily. They ask me questions and I obediently answer them, just like 2008-Mark would have. Again and again, I catch myself clicking through the profiles of the two fictional women to make sure I answer correctly. You want to be liked in high school, after all. The two even send me music, links on YouToob with great Windows Movie Maker lyric animations behind them. Of course, I love Kings of Leon – Sex on Fire (Lyric Video) BRANDNEW, Evelyn. It has now become my favorite song.
We exchange chat messages, nudge each other, and write on each other’s walls. Unfortunately, Emily has to leave at some point because her father needs to use her PC. This nostalgia catches me again, wonderful. But she asks me to fill out a questionnaire that is totally in vogue.
YouToob also looks like it did back then. The site is also fully functional outside of the game (via emilyisaway.com).
Drama that you never wanted to experience again
Since Emily was much more likeable during the hours I spent chatting with both than the rebellious Evelyn, I naturally do it. I had to search a bit to even find the questionnaire. But Emily herself filled it out on her profile, so I copy it to my wall and fill it out.
I indicate in one of the questions that Evelyn and I are only “acquaintances,” not necessarily friends. A mistake, as I later realized. I was already aware that Evelyn wouldn’t like this designation, but it was simply irrelevant.
But even Emily brings it up to me, asking if I didn’t like Evelyn. A drama begins that could have very well taken place exactly like this in my school days. Exactly the kind of drama that one was glad never to have to experience again. Evelyn annoys me, Emily is disappointed, my old buddy Mat isn’t thrilled about the situation either, and I don’t understand why he has to meddle in this.
If you do it right, your friends will also do things with you.
You already guessed it, at this point I was already so deep into the world of Emily is Away <3 that there was no escaping for me. I wanted to know what happens next, whether my advances with Emily would bear fruit, and whether Mat would break up with his girlfriend Kelly.
Without really noticing, it became late at night in the real world. I honestly talked with bots for 3 hours and 18 minutes without realizing it. I wasn’t bored for a second, and I didn’t want to stop, but I had to get up early the next day.
The game even builds a mechanic out of this. Because when I always finish my chapters diligently, the day also ends for me when the chapter ends. So I can simply continue playing the next day, and it feels even more real. After all, an entire day has passed for my new virtual friends as well.
School, or in my case work, is over, and you meet up on Facenook in the evening and discuss your day. While you’re on the go, this is simply not possible because it’s 2008, and clicking the internet button on your phone triggers nothing but pure panic.
The next day I chat again with Evelyn, Emily, and Mat. They show me music, tell me the latest gossip about fictional people I don’t even know. I’m so involved that I hardly notice. Later, Emily invites me to play Mario Kart with her, but I can’t continue the conversation because I have real-life visitors.
So sorry Emily, I have to go offline for today.
Conclusion: A time travel that is definitely worth it in 2022
The best 8 euros of my gaming year
Emily is Away <3 is a surge of pure nostalgia. At least for me, born in 1995, the Facenook simulation mirrors the everyday life of my 18-year-old self almost exactly. The characters and dialogues convince with depth and humor, while your decisions significantly influence the course of the game.
I admittedly expected nothing from the game except for a funny trip into the Facebook of 2008. I was then surprised by an emotional story and great characters that made me talk with a bot for over 3 hours. And was sad when the bot had to go offline.
The game may be a hidden gem, but I can only echo the 94% positive Steam reviews and highly recommend Emily is Away <3 to anyone who came from around that era. There are really hundreds of little details that perfectly transport you back to the Facenook of the 2000s. However, if you don’t connect anything with chatting before the times of WhatsApp, you might not enjoy the simulation very much.
Anyone who belongs to an older generation can also try out the two predecessors Emily is Away and Emily is Away Too. They take the time back even further than 2008 and build on the same concept.

On August 18, an important playoff match took place in League of Legends in South Korea. KT Rolster played against the former world champions Damwon Kia. Match 2 was actually balanced until a severe bug put DWG Kia on the winning path. E-sports fans in South Korea are now criticizing a decision by Riot Games.
What was this match like? In League of Legends, the playoffs have begun: It will be decided who becomes the champion in the regions and who goes to the Worlds.
In the Korean leagues, two strong teams faced each other in the quarter-finals on August 18:
DAMWON Gaming (who sold their name to KIA) are the current vice-world champions. They even won the Worlds in 2020. The team has two of the best players in the world, Showmaker and Canyon, in the Midlane and Jungle. This year, Top-laner Nuguri is back, but he has lost his regular spot. They finished fourth in the league.
They faced the fifth-place team of the LCK, KT Rolster, who have consistently been just behind the top teams in South Korea like T1, Gen G., and Damwon KIA for several years.
What was this bug? The bug occurred after about 30 minutes in Match 2 of the “Best of Three” competition. KT Rolster released a statement, which e-sports journalist Ashley Kang translated (via twitter):
We would like to issue a statement regarding the pause in Game 2:
The pause was requested when the ADC Aiming bought a Stopwatch on Kalista and then returned it, which reset the Ornn upgrade on Immortal Shieldbow.
So, a completely bizarre bug, but KT Rolster received a significant disadvantage from it:
Top-laner Ornn upgraded an item of ADC Kalista with his special ability
Kalista bought a Stopwatch and returned it
As a result, the Ornn upgrade on the other item disappeared
This caused a disadvantage for the team. KT Rolster requested the pause in hopes that Riot Games would reset the game via Chronobreak, allowing them to continue playing before the bug occurred.
Ornn also appears in this spectacular LoL video:

A spectacular video about League of Legends has now 138 million views – Shows how huge LoL is
How did Riot Games decide? Riot Games investigated the incident during a 42-minute pause but decided not to reset the game via Chronobreak, because the incident “was not recognized earlier”.
Team that suffered disadvantage from the bug lost the match and eventually the series
This is how it continued: The previously even game was decided in favor of DWG Kia.
DWG KIA took a 2-0 lead in the series, but KT Rolster managed to come back to 2-2, and a “Reverse-Sweep” was in the air. But once again, KT Rolster proved to be plagued by bad luck.
DWG KIA was able to win with a “Backdoor” play.

That was the end: DWG KIA is in the opponent’s base at the crucial moment when KT Rolster is distracted.
Ultimately, they even won the tight series 3-2. With that, KT Rolster was eliminated from the playoffs.
What else was noticeable? As noted by former Korean pro Wolf, who commented on the game in Korea, there was a second bug in the same game. Because of the bug, the ADC from KT Rolster was able to use his Flash even though he was supposedly charmed by Ahri.
This is the discussion: Some e-sports fans are upset about Riot Games’ decision in Korea. They believe it was a bug that affected the game: A reset of the game would have been appropriate here.
LoL had some problems with bizarre bugs in the summer of 2022:
The Yeedi Vac Max is one of the best-rated vacuum robots on Amazon. With over 1200 reviews, the product achieves a strong 4.5 out of 5 stars. Our expert Patrick Freese has tested it for you. Is it really that good?
Who tested it? I am Patrick, an expert in online games like GTA or Diablo and also in vacuum robots here at MeinMMO. Over the last 5 years, I have tested about 10 different models in long-term and short-term tests. With purchase prices ranging from €250 to €900.
This has allowed me to get a good picture of the strengths and weaknesses of automatic cleaning helpers in different budget areas. Additionally, I invest about 5 hours a week sifting through test reports and videos on new and popular models.
What kind of device is this? Through the company Yeedi, I got the chance to test the Yeedi Vac Max including a self-emptying station here on MeinMMO. My attention was drawn by the many good reviews, and I will show you here in the test whether they are justified. At the time of testing, the Yeedi Vac Max had about 1,270 reviews on Amazon and 4.5 out of 5 stars.
How did I test? I have been using the vacuum cleaner in my apartment for over a month now. Almost daily, it vacuums all 5 rooms including the kitchen and bathroom. The mopping mode is used once a week. During this time, I was able to extensively test the functions of the Yeedi Vac Max and will now describe the advantages and disadvantages.
The App: In the app, you will find common functions that you find in most vacuum robots. The creation of rooms including naming, no-go zones, adjusting suction strength, and the ability to modify the maps after creation.
I particularly like that the Yeedi can create “no vacuum” zones, as well as “no mop” zones. This function is offered by only a few models and is a huge advantage. This way, you don’t have to be cautious about the carpets when mopping. Occasionally, carpets are recognized late, causing the beginning of a carpet to come into contact with the wet microfiber cloth.
Also noteworthy is the function that allows you to determine the order in which the individual rooms should be cleaned. Those who are really into “Smart” homes can also pair the app with Google Home or Alexa.
A quick start menu sends the Yeedi off for automatic cleaningWhen cleaning is active, you can track where the robot is and how much it has already cleanedIf desired, you can name the rooms “Kitchen”, “Bathroom”, etc. – rooms can be cleaned specificallyFor a thorough clean, you can choose “Twice”. Then, the robot goes over the same area twice
The Vacuuming: It’s worth noting that in this test, I was able to test the Yeedi Vac Max with a self-emptying station. The station does a good job and empties the dustbin well. However, there are also problems with pet hair, which I also noticed when testing the Roborock Q7 Max+.
My dog sheds a lot, and usually, a large clump of fur is found in combination with dust in the dustbin. The self-emptying station sometimes has difficulty and only empties the dustbin on the second or third attempt. This is annoying because the emptying process is very loud, and I have to check every time if the bin is empty. If the bin stays unnoticed full, the robot vacuums less efficiently. Sometimes the station doesn’t manage to suck the clump of fur out of the bin. Then I have to remove it from the device and empty it manually in the trash can.
Without pet hair, the self-emptying station reliably empties the dustbin.
The full dustbin with cornflakesAfter docking at the self-emptying station, the bin is completely emptied
On hard floors, the robot is very efficient and picks up dust and dog food crumbs and other impurities well. Here and there, I could find a small crumb that remained. However, I have never had a perfect result with any vacuum robot, so the Yeedi Vac Max also ranks among the top performers.
Carpets are another challenge, but the Yeedi also performs well here and managed to satisfactorily suck up pet hair and chip crumbs from the fabric. The Yeedi has extracted about 90% of my sprinkled cornflakes from the carpet. A strong result! Some cheaper models I tested barely reached 50%.
The Yeedi features automatic carpet recognition. The recognition works reasonably well for me. Occasionally, it recognizes the carpet too late and only increases the suction power after a few seconds.
The test task – Cornflakes on carpetThe cleaning begins – With its brush, the Yeedi pushes the cornflakes in front of its vacuumThe first traces clearly show that vacuuming worksBefore/After, already looking very good at first glanceThe only crumbs I found after cleaningMy results from a simple cleaning of the room
It is particularly noteworthy that the Yeedi Vac Max does not use a laser tower. Other robots have these on the device and scan the rooms for obstacles and walls.
With a design about 2 cm flatter, the Yeedi can fit better under furniture, but it also has to compromise on orientation. It often utilizes the bumper and lightly bumps obstacles to recognize them and assess the size. Unfortunately, it also gets lost occasionally and rarely has orientation problems.
Oops, unfortunately this affiliate widget is no longer available.
The Mopping: By the way: No, vacuum robots with mopping functions do not replace hand mopping.
They exert little pressure and therefore only mop superficially. To mop, you fill a container with water (and possibly cleaner). Water is then pumped to the cloth, which is attached with Velcro to the bottom of the suspension.
The movable plate to which the microfiber cloth is attachedThe microfiber cloth before moppingThe microfiber cloth after mopping a room of 15 sqmThe floor after mopping – Stubborn stains remain on the laminate, but can be removed with some force and scrubbing
I particularly like that the cloth is suspended in a movable manner, allowing it to continue mopping over uneven surfaces. In other models, the cloths are fixed – if the robot is tilted, the cloth may hang in the air.

What is the Pre-Season Event? The Pre-Season Event is characterized by the fact that by playing FUT 22, you can already unlock initial rewards for the upcoming FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
Last year, there were among other rewards that could be earned by completing SBCs (Squad Building Challenges):
Two FUT 22 coin boosts (5 games x 1,000 coins)
A FUT 22 Quick Start Pack with chemistry styles, jerseys, and a gold pack
A FUT 22 ‘One League for Itself’ pack with 3 gold players from all major European leagues
Although the rewards last year were not incredibly good, they could still be quite useful for starting the new FUT season. We are curious what rewards there will be this time and will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
When does the event start? A loading screen in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team announced the event and confirmed the start for today, Friday, August 19 at 07:00 PM.
With these contents you can expect: Apart from the loading screen in FIFA 22, there are currently no official information on the contents and rewards of the new Pre-Season Event. However, it is likely that particularly powerful cards from the current FUT season will return in packs.
Moreover, there were top transfer cards in recent years where recently transferred players received particularly strong cards. So it could be that we might see a Man City card for Erling Haaland.
What do you think about the Pre-Season Event? Will you play it to secure rewards for FIFA 23? And you can find our complete overview of the FIFA 23 release here.

Now it is official. With Dragonflight, World of Warcraft is experiencing a time jump, and it is quite significant.
Even before the announcement of World of Warcraft Dragonflight, there were rumors that it was about time for a time jump in Azeroth. Normally, there are only one or two years historically between each expansion – but with Dragonflight, that is different.
The story chief of WoW elaborated: There are five years between the departure to the Shadowlands and the start of Dragonflight.
What was said? The story chief Steve Danuser addressed the players in the official WoW forum and explained in detail what is actually happening with Dragonflight. The post is quite long, but one of the most important statements is:
Shadowlands began in the year 35 after the opening of the dark portal, and Dragonflight begins in the year 40.
He further explained the situation:
The events of Shadowlands took place over the course of 2 years, so there are still a few years left for us to jump forward. Our goal is that during this time there is no litany of events outside the game that you need to read about in books or other media to understand the game world. The aim is to allow the inhabitants of Azeroth to have a bit of “normal life” without a huge threat looming over them.
When our heroes return from the realm of the dead, you can imagine how they slowly get back into their normal lives and usual duties without an immediate crisis or a new enemy to fight. The Alliance and Horde respect the truce signed after the 4th War, and the average Azerothian can simply enjoy a time of stability and reflection.
Why is this important? The significance of this decision is primarily twofold. The first is that this allows many “young” characters to mature a bit and soon take up more space in the WoW storyline. At the same time, the jump of three to five years is not so significant that older characters change drastically to the point that they are unrecognizable.
The second important point concerns a smaller group of WoW fans – the role players. For them, it is particularly significant when several years pass in the game world. Many characters live in parallel to real-time in roleplay – so when a year passes in reality, it does in roleplay as well. With the time jump, however, “RPlers” are now forced to make a decision: Do they incorporate the time skip into their game and let their characters age and come up with what their character has experienced in the last 5 years?
Or do they simply ignore the time jump and risk conflict with other RPlers who have let their characters age?
At least there is a silver lining – Blizzard has already stated that they will not use the time jump to create particularly large events in Azeroth that are never seen in the game. The only exception seems to be the wedding of Lor’themar and Thalyssra, which will be told in the form of a freely accessible story.
What will your hero do in the years to come? Will he dance on the mailbox every day, stare enviously at the NPCs because they have housing, or will he spend many years at Icecrown Citadel to finally obtain “Invincible”?

For FIFA 23 new FUT heroes, or “Heroes” have been announced – with ratings. These are former football stars who will receive special cards – this time in the Marvel comic look. But what exactly does this collaboration bring?
These are FUT heroes in FIFA 23: We already know the “FUT Heroes” or “Heroes” from FIFA 22. They will also be there with the FIFA 23 release .
These are strong players from past days who did not quite reach legendary status to land as “Icon” in Ultimate Team but still remain memorable due to specific moments or special achievements.
And to set themselves apart from the remaining cards, EA Sports has teamed up with Marvel.
FIFA 23: Hero ratings revealed – Here’s how strong the Heroes are in Ultimate Team
Update, August 19, 2022: EA has now revealed all the official ratings for the heroes. Rudi Völler receives the best card of the new heroes:
Which players are included? Some heroes are already known who will be new in FIFA 23. These players are:
The new FIFA 23 heroes
Landon Donovan
Landon Donovan is the all-time leading scorer for the US national team, with 57 goals in 157 international matches. He spent most of his career with LA Galaxy, and also briefly played for Bayern Munich – after a short loan, the collaboration ended again.
Ricardo Carvalho
The Portuguese center-back will get a Premier League card after his amazing performances for Chelsea there. Previously, he won the UEFA Cup and the Champions League with Porto, and also became a champion with Real Madrid.
Claudio Marchisio
Claudio Marchisio collected a total of seven Italian championships with “la Vecchia Signora”, Juventus Turin. In the national team, he narrowly missed out on a major title: in 2012, he was vice-European champion with the team.
Yaya Touré
One could argue whether an icon card would have been appropriate for Yaya Touré. The midfielder moved from Barcelona to Manchester City after three years and became the undisputed midfield chief there. He was voted African Player of the Year four times in a row – no one had accomplished that before him.
Ji-Sung Park
The South Korean national player Ji-Sung Park also managed to spend many years at a single club: Seven seasons at Manchester United, with 134 appearances and 19 goals, stand for the midfielder. This resulted in four English championships.
Diego Forlán
Diego Forlán made several stops throughout his career, having played for ManU, Atlético Madrid, Villarreal, and Inter Milan, but his fantastic World Cup 2010, where he won the Golden Ball as the best player, remains unforgettable.
Lúcio
Bundesliga fans will still remember Lúcio, who performed strongly at both Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. He then moved to Italy, where he won the Champions League with Inter Milan. Additionally, he won the World Cup with the Brazilian national team in 2002.
Javier Mascherano
For 8 years, Javier Mascherano played for FC Barcelona, winning the championship four times. He also secured the Champions League title – both in 2011 and 2015. He is expected to become a strong card in defensive midfield.
Rafael Márquez
Just like Mascherano, the Mexican defender Márquez spent years at FC Barcelona and was active there from 2003 to 2010. He also won the Spanish championship four times, once the cup, and twice the Champions League.
What role does Marvel play? As shown in the image above, the “heroes” are presented in comic form, including a nickname. Mascherano, for example, is called “Octo-Boss”, Forlán is referred to as “Sunstrike”.
EA already implemented the comic approach last year with the first FUT Heroes, such as Mario Gomez.
What is new this year, however, is that the card design of the heroes will actually be kept in comic style. So you will no longer see the real face of the players on the card but rather an illustration. This way, they set themselves apart somewhat from the other special cards in Ultimate Team.
In addition, further cosmetics such as balls, jerseys, or choreographies for Ultimate Team seem to be planned.
Overall, however, it seems to be purely a cosmetic collaboration; the gameplay in FIFA 23 is expected to remain unaffected by the “Marvel” factor. The heroes do not have superpowers or similar abilities on the pitch and are expected to be represented as “normal” players in jerseys instead of capes. How deep the Marvel-EA collaboration will reach over the year remains to be seen.
What can the heroes do? The Hero cards still bring a few advantages compared to “normal” cards. They will likely have strong ratings but primarily provide an advantage in chemistry.
They always have full chemistry when played in their correct position
They give two chemistry points for players from their league and one chemistry point for players from their country.
Moreover, EA Sports has announced that there will be special “World Cup Heroes” versions of the cards for the World Cup. These are to be released on November 11, 2022, and will have improved ratings.
In addition, there will be more FUT heroes that are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Leaks suggest that there might even be “downgrades” for some legends to become heroes – but this is not yet official.
