Clix, the 17-year-old professional Fortnite player and Twitch streamer is banned on his streaming platform for being too suggestive in his role-playing in GTA Online. Now he finds his punishment unfair.
He was only playing a GTA role-play on Twitch and engaged in sexual acts with another fully-dressed player.
These were recorded by Twitch and led to his eventual ban. The now affected streamer is understandably upset about his punishment and even claims it is unjustified. He just doesn’t understand the system.
Clix finds the ban excessive
The ban is not justified: According to Clix, the ban is excessive and he doesn’t understand how his clip could lead to him being cut off for a week. Here is the video that was responsible for his ban:
He compares another case where a female streamer went far beyond the limit: “Crazy how I get a 7-day ban for same-sex ‘sexual behavior’ while fully clothed in GTA RP, but a girl who knowingly streamed having actual sex gets the same 7-day ban as me, LOL, bro, I can’t …”
Clix doesn’t understand how it is possible that he is grouped together with other streamers who displayed worse things.
What does his community say? His fans also cannot understand the ban. Even Twitter user forpzy states: “Girls literally stream naked, painted as clothing”. They find the ban exaggerated and don’t understand why Clix was hit so hard.
Others even suggest that the Fortnite pro should switch to YouTube in the meantime to bridge his 7 days if he feels the need to stream. But knowing Clix, the ban surely won’t last that long. Through his community, he always manages to quickly wiggle out of difficulties.
So, what do you think of his punishment? Do you find it justified or did Twitch go overboard? Let us know in the comments!
If you prefer Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 3, we have the right article for you:
Season 3 in Chapter 3 is coming to an end soon. Therefore, we will show you what to expect in Season 4 of Fortnite, when it starts, and what information and leaks we know about the new season.
What is happening in Fortnite? On June 5th Season 3 in Chapter 3 of Fortnite began. After you defeated the IO forces with your giant mech in the live event of Season 2, a peaceful episode of Fortnite began where peace was celebrated. Despite the relaxed atmosphere, a new danger is approaching the island, slowly taking away and making everyone from the Seven disappear.
Update 13.09: This week, according to the end date of the Battle Pass for Season 3, Season 4 will start on Saturday, September 17th. Be prepared, we will update our article as soon as new information becomes available.
We have added new leaks regarding the Battle Pass for Season 4, as well as more information about the new season, including a mysterious theme image from Epic Games itself, which was published too early. You can find the new information in the lower section of the post.
We summarize for you when the next season starts and what we know about it.
When does Season 3 in Chapter 3 end?
What is known: Fortnite always lets you know in advance when a new season is taking place. This time, September 17th has been dated as the end of Season 3. That would be a Saturday and could fit well as an end point. The previous episodes also ended on a Saturday and either transitioned through a live event or seamlessly after the server was down into the next phase.
So far: Typically, a new season starts immediately after the end of an old season. Therefore, we assume that Season 3 ends on September 17th and Season 4 of Chapter 3 will start on September 18th or 19th, 2022. That would be a Sunday or a Monday.
However, new seasons in Fortnite usually start on a Tuesday. However, the first, second, and third seasons in Chapter 3 started on a Saturday or Sunday. It is very possible that the next period will also take place over the weekend.
Expect that there will be downtime between the seasons during which the game will be unavailable. A multi-day downtime like the Black Hole is not expected, as no new chapter is starting, but “only” a new season within a chapter.
Season 4 Chapter 3 Battle Pass, Live Event, and Start
What is known so far: There is no official information yet about what content will be in the new season. However, data miners already have an idea. In the next lines, we will talk about leaks related to Season 3. If you want to be surprised, it is better to check one of the following articles:
What do we know about the new season? So far, not much is known. Leakers speculate that Season 4 will be full of callbacks. Epic Games has allegedly updated various old modes, weapons, and items as well as POIs. It is believed that you will soon have the chance to play many old items from Chapter 1 and 2 again.
The theory is supported that the new season release will start when the Battle Royale turns five years old. Roughly speaking, this is not entirely accurate as there is some time difference, but Epic Games always celebrates Fortnite’s birthday, and so far this celebration has not happened yet.
It is therefore almost unlikely that Epic Games will release the birthday event in the last three weeks before the new season.
Additionally, a new leak has emerged. This shows the hand of Paradigm, one of the famous Seven. Apparently, she is drowning in some undefined liquid and is trying to reach out with her hand.

Shiina, a well-known leaker in the Fortnite scene, managed to get this image from Nintendo itself. It was probably published too early on Nintendo’s Fortnite product page, as it can no longer be found.
A further leak indicates that fans are very likely not to see a Marvel season in Season 4. This is confirmed by many trustworthy leakers. However, it is known that Gwen, another Marvel superhero, will make it into the new Battle Pass, so be excited.
Shiina mentions further hints regarding the new Battle Pass of Season 4. A Goth-Meowscles version is likely to be featured in the new Pass.

In the meantime, you can play a cool mode from Destiny 2 in Fortnite:
In the beta of World of Warcraft Dragonflight, Shamans are currently racing through the game world. A small bug gives them more than 5,000% movement speed.
The beta of WoW: Dragonflight has been active for a few weeks, and overall it seems everything is developing splendidly. The quests are being cleared of last-minute bugs, talent trees are being adjusted, and more and more bugs are being fixed. But sometimes a new bug sneaks in – leading to absurd results. Shamans are currently the fastest class in World of Warcraft. This is likely due to a “slight typo” by a developer.

What happened? When Shamans shift into their Ghost Wolf form, they can benefit from a new talent named “Thunderous Paws.” The talent is supposed to increase the movement speed of the Ghost Wolf by 25% in the first 3 seconds.
However, it seems a developer made a small mistake when entering the values internally, as instead of 25%, the Ghost Wolf temporarily increases speed by a whopping 5,000%! This allows the Shaman to cover gigantic distances within those 3 seconds, such as across half of the Barrens.
How crazy this looks is shown in various clips from clearly amused Shaman players in the WoW subreddit.

How the community is reacting: As expected, they are taking it quite amusingly. Some of the comments in the subreddit include:
“Imagine you’re doing PvP, you’re about to win, and then the Shaman activates the Looney Tunes Roadrunner Turbo.”
“I hope they keep it in. It will really be useful when I want to run away from the meeting stone because they noticed I’m Enhancement and don’t appear in the M+ meta.”
“Another 10% more and he would be as fast as a Demon Hunter. :)”
Is this going live? No, of course not. Such speed is not only absolutely overpowered but also leads to various bugs in the game. For instance, it can happen that textures or objects are not loaded at all as fast as the character rushes through the map.
That bugs and errors occur during a beta is quite normal – but having them turn out this strangely doesn’t happen very often. Especially since beta tests at Blizzard are generally already quite polished.
Last night, on September 13, a hotfix was released for the online shooter Destiny 2, Update 6.2.0.3. However, one significant change was omitted by Bungie in the patch notes: Those who leave PvP matches in the standard mode “Control” early will now face consequences. There is an angry message from Shaxx and a risk of a game ban.
What was this hotfix about?
The patch notes for Destiny 2 were rather small last night, as is typical for a hotfix: A few bugs were fixed.
Shaxx scolds players who leave control matches unlawfully
What are people upset about? With the hotfix a quietly announced change went live that Bungie had omitted from the patch notes. Those who were active in PvP since last night and had a rough time noticed this change:
If players go afk in the PvP mode “Control” or leave a match early, they receive a message from Lord Shaxx: He is not angry, but very, very disappointed.
Shaxx admonishes the players that they ended a “competitive match” before it was finished. This would negatively affect other players. Anyone who doesn’t want to get on Shaxx’s bad side and the Crucible’s should please finish their matches.
Is that all? Not quite. As the site Kotaku reports, repeated violations of this rule result in a forced timeout of nearly 30 minutes.
The message is not new; it’s the same notification players receive when they leave a competitive playlist. You can also tell that Shaxx refers to a “Control” match as a “competitive game.” But it’s actually not.
Players fear Bungie is secretly turning casual mode into Ranked Mode
What exactly is bothering the players? The mode in question is the “Control” mode: It’s essentially the “daily PvP” that you play on the side.
It’s not a real “competitive mode” where something is at stake, like the Trials of Osiris. Therefore, some players feel that it could be a bit more relaxed in this mode:
Users say: “I tried it myself, and unfortunately, it’s true. You receive a ‘competitive quitter’ penalty for the Control playlist. I dislike quitting as much as anyone else, but this is not a solution. We are currently witnessing how the casual playlist is turning into a Ranked Mode.”
A second user says: “Control is not competitive! This is probably the worst change to PvP in Destiny 2 in a long time.”

Players explain that there are reasonable grounds to leave a normal Control match early:
Internet problems – On reddit, for instance, one user writes that they were banned because they encountered the “Weasel” error twice, one of the known errors. As a result, they received a ban.
You might need to help a child quickly
Or you might have simply achieved the goal you were aiming for in the match
Until now, control has simply been the PvP that you play on the side, and where there’s nothing at stake – hence it’s strange that Bungie is implementing these new penalties here.

Update September 14, 8:55 PM: Bungie announced that they will temporarily disable the quitter penalty in the Crucible and Gambit because they expect increased connection issues.
However, the penalty is set to be active again starting September 17 at 7 PM.
By the way, Bungie also somehow omitted another change in the patch notes:

Anyone who grew up in the 90s with Captain Picard and Mister Data also knows Wesley Crusher, the nine-times-smart backup genius aboard the USS Enterprise. The character was played by Wil Wheaton, the arch-nemesis of Sheldon Cooper from the series “The Big Bang Theory” – Wesley Crusher is now in the MMORPG Star Trek Online and is planning something evil.
Who is Wil Wheaton?
William “Wil” Wheaton (50) is an actor and author who became famous as a child star after appearing in the cult film “Stand by Me” in 1986.
From 1987 to 1994, Wheaton starred in 85 episodes of “Star Trek – The Next Generation” playing Wesley Crusher, a remarkable genius who served as a “wish-fulfillment fantasy” for young viewers: Though he was far too young to serve on the bridge of the Enterprise, he was so great that there were special rules for him.
Later, Wheaton used his fame in the “Nerd fandom of Star Trek” to play an evil version of himself in the series, “The Big Bang Theory,” where he frequently clashed with Dr. Sheldon Cooper. Cooper declared Wheaton his arch-enemy because he sat on a bus for ten hours in 1995 to attend a Star Trek convention that Wheaton had skipped.
Wheaton aims to achieve godhood:

What is he doing now in the MMORPG Star Trek Online? The actor Will Wheaton is now returning as a voice actor in the MMORPG “Star Trek Online” – but he is not truly returning as Wesley Crusher; he plays the “evil version” of Crusher from the Mirror Universe: the parallel world where Spock has a goatee and is evil.
In this Mirror World, Crusher has risen to the status of Terran Emperor Crusher and is the “greatest threat that has ever threatened the galaxy,” as the developers know. For Crusher has fused with a being known as “The Other,” the Mirror Universe version of the probe V’ger, which has transformed into an intelligent ship. Fans of Star Trek know this well.
In any case, players of the MMORPG must now prevent Crusher from enacting his plans and ascending to become a space god who is set to destroy two universes.
Sheldon Cooper always knew it: Wheaton is the devil!
Few characters have been rejected as much as Wesley Crusher
What do people have against Wesley Crusher? The character of Wesley Crusher was meant to attract young viewers to Star Trek: The Next Generation, but many fans outright rejected Crusher: The show seemed to cheat to always portray Crusher as a hero:
Crusher was allowed to pilot the Enterprise
had often brilliant ideas that no one else had
constantly inserted himself into everything
It simply didn’t feel organic that on a ship filled with professionals, the “best of the Starfleet,” a teenager without training had the decisive insights.
Many fans saw it like Captain Picard: Wesley, shut up.

Blizzard warns on Twitter about scammers targeting your account in World of Warcraft. They share a forum post with information on what you can do to protect yourself from phishing attempts.
What is Blizzard warning about? Blizzard warns on Twitter about so-called phishing messages, which in this specific case have recently been increasingly spread through social networks.
As Blizzard writes, these messages try to lure you into using third-party websites, thus disclosing personal and account-related information.

Blizzard warns on Twitter about fraudulent phishing messages
What is phishing? According to the Federal Office for Information Security, phishing messages are a fraudulent scheme on the Internet that attempts to obtain sensitive data such as account numbers, email addresses, and passwords. The scammers pretend that the message is from the customer service of a site like Amazon, and that logging in is necessary to resolve an invented problem. You can find more information on the Federal Office for Information Security website (via bsi.bund.de)
Blizzard gives tips on how to protect your account
What does Blizzard say about how to protect yourself? Blizzard has shared a forum post from 2018 where they elaborate on what to look out for to recognize phishing messages and protect yourselves and your information.
According to Blizzard, you should pay attention to the following:
Spelling mistakes, typos, and poor grammar
Poor or misleading links
“Often, the links contained in a phishing email appear to lead to a legitimate website, but instead redirect you to a completely different, ‘official-looking’ website,” says Blizzard’s customer service
Blizzard explains: “If you see a link in a suspicious email message, you should be cautious when clicking on it. If you hover your mouse over the link, you should be able to see if the address the link leads to matches the link in the message. Usually, there is an attempt to include the term ‘Blizzard’ in the URL to give the impression that it is a legitimate company, with Blizzard often being misspelled (e.g., Bizzard, Bilzzard, Bilzard, etc.).”
Threats and requests for account information
Blizzard also notes that an email from Blizzard comes from an official domain. This is usually Blizzard.com or Battle.net.
Phishing messages on social media – what to watch out for
What should you watch out for on social media according to Blizzard? As Blizzard writes in the forum post, it can happen on social networks that you receive messages from accounts/people claiming that your account has been hacked or suspended.
These accounts allegedly want to help you with the problem and thereby try to get you to log in with your personal data on a third-party website.
However, as Blizzard emphasizes, account recovery, whether after a compromise or by appealing an account action, can only be done through the official website and only by the registered user of the account. No other person or entity is able to restore an account or contest a measure.
If you receive such a message via Facebook or Twitter, the social networks actually offer you the option to report the messages.
What should you watch out for according to Blizzard? If you receive a message from a Blizzard employee in-game – whether via whisper or in-game mail – this will be marked with a special note.
This is how you recognize a Blizzard employee;
In-game mail: In the upper left corner of the message, there is a Blizzard logo
In-game whisper message: If you are contacted by a Game Master in-game, the Game Master will not only have a special blue Blizz-tag next to their name, but every chat initiated by a Game Master will take place in a special chat box that opens when you are contacted.
According to Blizzard, individuals impersonating a Game Master often use [GM] or Blizz/Blizzard as part of their name.
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
With Dragonflight, the MMORPG World of Warcraft aims to return to its roots. How this will succeed and how it can still offer something new is revealed by the developers of Blizzard in an interview with MeinMMO..
With the next expansion of World of Warcraft, Blizzard has to make up for a lot of lost ground, which they lost with Shadowlands. The last addon did not fare well with players, although PvE fans are quite positively surprised by the current 4th season in Shadowlands.
But can the next expansion Dragonflight really offer enough? Are the Dracthyr as a new race and the Evoker as a new class, along with the feature of “Dragonriding,” really sufficient? At least the reactions in the beta are quite positive. We at MeinMMO took the opportunity of the new expansion to conduct an interview with the developers and ask some questions.
Answering our questions were Graham Berger (Senior Game Designer in the Combat Design Team) and Jake Miller (Senior Game Designer for various game systems) from Blizzard.
MeinMMO: Why did you decide that Dracthyr can choose only one class?
Graham Berger: With Dragonflight, we knew that we were going to the Dragon Isles. We will meet dragons and have adventures with dragons. So, it would be cool if you could play as a dragon – that sounds fantastic. So we looked for an answer: What is the best way to deliver this experience?
We can make them a playable race, just as we have created many before. Our artists then created these fantastic, draconic, humanoid characters. But with one race, we can only do so much, with the few racial abilities that exist. So you get a fire breath and a tail whip. That would be pretty much all we could do if we were to limit ourselves. But we wanted to do more; we want you to feel like a dragon through and through. And the best way to do that is to give you a class, a whole set of abilities that are all draconic-themed. So we wanted to create a class.
But it would be strange if a gnome performed a tail whip – that doesn’t make much sense. So, what if we do both? It’s a race and a class. And it’s the only one that can be that. This opens up many possibilities, allowing us to focus entirely on it and create some really cool things with it. The special animations for taking off into the air or the fire breath while gliding over the battlefield, pushing enemies back with your wing flap, or leaning back to charge up the big deep breath. It was a limitation, but it allows us to do so many cool things that truly make you feel like a dragon.
The Dracthyr have a dragon form and a humanoid shape.
Will it take a long time again before we get a new class?
Graham Berger: This is something we always discuss whenever we talk early about a new expansion: “Is this the right time for a new class, is this the right setting?” This is nothing we plan strictly, like “every X expansions we will release a new class” – it’s more like: “Is the time right, do we have a great idea, are we thinking about it, do we believe that the player base is ready for a new class?” I have nothing to announce, but this is always something we keep an eye on.
The Dracthyr have a heck of a lot of customization options. When can we expect more of that for the other races?
Graham Berger: The Dracthyr – the team did a fantastic job there. One of our technicians calculated that there are approximately 600 quintillion different combinations of character customizations for the Dracthyr. We are also proud of what the team did in Shadowlands, as they added a lot for the existing races. For Dragonflight, we wanted to really focus on the Dracthyr and their “Visage” form to make it as deep and fantastic as possible. However, we have also added many options to our repertoire, which can bring customization options for other races. This is definitely something we are interested in, and there will certainly be more of it in the future.
What are the Dracthyr? The Dracthyr are a new race in Dragonflight that can belong to both the Horde and the Alliance. They can only play the new class Evoker, which we have introduced in detail here. Evokers are extremely mobile and can choose either DPS or healer specialization. Their customization options are also enormous, as they have more options than there are “grains of sand in the universe”. Historically, the Dracthyr are an ancient experiment of Deathwing, which was then forgotten and only revived with the launch of Shadowlands.
With a look at balancing – How will the Evoker fit into the meta with a focus on dungeons, raids, and PvP? Do you think it will replace a class or have strong synergies with other classes?
Graham Berger: This is something we always carefully consider when introducing a new class. For the Evoker, we already knew early on that we wanted a ranged damage dealer. You are a dragon, you breathe fire and cast spells, so it makes sense that you are more of a spellcaster, and if we draw on the magic of the dragonflights in the Warcraft story: Okay, red and blue fit in there somehow. Red is more quick and explosive, while blue is more focused and overwhelming on a single target.
We then looked at the other colors that existed – green and bronze, but also black – green fits perfectly with healers and bronze with time magic is something we had previously explored as players, so it would be really cool to make a healing specialization out of that. So yes, those are the two specializations we are making.
We have never added a ranged DPS to the game and we haven’t had a new healer since Mists of Pandaria – that sounds fantastic.
Since the monk there have not been any new healers – now it’s time again.
As for how they fit into the previously existing classes and the meta – part of that is what specializations were previously available. We haven’t had a new healer since Pandaria, it’s time for another one. We have a new ranged fighter, so let’s address that. But beyond that, it’s about creating what the class excels at and what makes sense for its fantasy, for its [abilities]. Both specializations are really good at area effects. But you would expect that from a dragon, right? You unleash a huge cone of damage or make flowers spring up from the Emerald Dream.
It just fits that there are good area effects – whether damage or healing.
The medium range was chosen because it works well with mobility. We wanted you to feel like you’re flying in a way while fighting. You can jump over the battlefield, and to balance that out, the Evoker’s range is slightly shorter than other ranged characters. So you want to be close to enemies when using your dragon breath, but you have the mobility to compensate for that.
And after that, it’s up to the players, right? We give them these tools to use with their class and to play with, but how exactly it plays out, how it works in group dynamics, or how it fits into the player versus player meta – we’ll have to wait and see and listen to the community… but we are also very excited.
Worgen and Druids have their own mounts. Why can’t Dracthyr use their wings to fly permanently?
Graham Berger: With Dragonflight, we knew from the start that we wanted to give Dracthyr a way of flying. You have wings, you are dragons, this expansion is all about dragons.
For the Dracthyr, we wanted to focus on the new form of movement, we want to showcase it as the highlight, as the coolest thing they can do, as their primary form of transportation – and they can use it anywhere in the world! They are not restricted to the Dragon Isles. We wanted to highlight their racial ability “Soar” and make that the focus instead of having it be “Here are four different types of flying, and they are all slightly different, but somehow very similar.”
We simply want “Soar” to be as cool as it can be and have kept the focus on that. We think it’s really fun.
Dracthyr cannot fly permanently – unless you are very skilled.
Tell me more about dragonriding.
Jake Miller: With dragonriding, or movement in the air […] players can carve their path through the level zones, regardless of what race or class they belong to. There are four different new mount types, four different dragons of the Dragon Isles. And on these dragons, the player can dive off a cliff and find that the movement in the air is completely different than in previous expansions.
In previous expansions, players mainly ran on the ground from quest to quest, but in the Dragon Isles, they jump off the cliffs and experience that they are subjected to different forces like gravity or momentum while the dragon moves forward, relying on the player to say “Now dive down” to gain momentum and then “upward” to use that momentum and move forward. And there are also some active abilities in the air that we have never introduced in World of Warcraft before.
Start video
4 Minutes of Gameplay for Dragon Riding, the new feature in WoW Dragonflight
How does that work exactly, can I fly anywhere?
Jake Miller: For the Dracthyr and the Dragon Isles dragons, the limitation is mainly in the design of the environment and the skill of the player as they learn this new form of flying. When you see players flying for a long time – those are the players who are really skilled in things like: maintaining a good flying angle, flying proactively. Those are all skills that players will learn as they carve their way through leveling up experience and then receive more active abilities to make it easier.
If I am a skilled player, can I fly through half of Azeroth?
Jake Miller: If you find a good, high starting point and a suitable flight path – good preparation – and you memorize the level design, then that is definitely something that is currently possible.
You did a great job with the visual design of the world. What was the hardest part about making the Dragon Isles the home of the dragons and not just “Northrend 2”?
Jake Miller: With Northrend, we had a completely different kind of movement in the air. Therefore, we built these huge structures that are the seed of the culture of dragons very generously to ensure that a movement is supported that is much faster than in previous expansions, including Northrend. That also supports the various mechanics we have in Dragonflight.
For example, while players are playing through the plains of Ohn’ahra, they learn to recognize that there are whirlwinds that lift them high into the air while they are on their Dragon Isles dragon.
As a “casual player,” what would be the highlight of the Dragon Isles for me?
Graham Berger: Something on the Dragon Isles and in Dragonflight overall, which I am really looking forward to – and I believe the players you describe will too – is that it returns to the roots of World of Warcraft in a way. Back to the fantasy experience that immerses you right into the world. The stories are clear, feel good.
It’s just “there are big dragons, you fly around, the scenery is vast and beautiful” – and you can experience that. I play the beta myself, and while I look at the stories, playing a bit here and a bit there, it is so immersive and exciting. When we finish this conversation, I will continue to play the beta.
Jake Miller: For me, it’s getting a set of four dragons on the Dragon Isles that you can customize as you wish. I think that resonates with many players who want to express themselves in the game world with their looks.
In May 2016, Gearbox, the studio behind Borderlands, released the first-person shooter Battleborn for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game featured a quirky roster of heroes: There were mushroom beings, emo birds, and crazy penguins. The high-quality produced shooter with its unique heroes flopped terribly. The former head of 2K explains what went wrong and what Overwatch had to do with it.
What kind of game was Battleborn?
Battleborn was a quirky game: It was a hero shooter with a cult-humorous science fiction setting: An evil empire destroyed all stars in the universe, only a coalition of heroes wanted to save the last star, Solus.
Players could play a PvE campaign, where they were constantly over-the-top chatted at and insulted via voice chat.
There was also a PvP variant, similar to Overwatch.
The game received only 69% on Metacritic, which is quite weak.
At launch on Steam, it started with an average of 12,000 players, which was moderately received, and fell to 660 players within a few months.
Developer Gearbox admitted early on: The game was not selling well, but they still wanted to save it. However, even a “Free Trial” in June 2017 could not prevent the end. In October 2017, the game went into maintenance mode – in 2021, the servers were completely shut down.
Activision Blizzard spent 10 times more money than us
This is what the head of 2K says went wrong: In an interview with GameSpot , Christoph Hartmann explains the issues; he was the head of publisher 2K at that time.
For Hartmann, it comes down to the fact that Battleborn entered a direct duel with Overwatch from Activision Blizzard and was doomed to fail.
They made the mistake of revealing all their cards too early.
In hindsight, the head regrets having presented Battleborn so early, already at E3 2014; he sees this as a foolish mistake:
We were so stupid to announce the game too early. We showed it at E3, much too early, years before release. We explained everything to the world, explained what we were doing, and then we couldn’t deliver for ages. Activision Blizzard spent 10 times more money on marketing than we did. We did a little bit, but clearly not as much as Overwatch.
Back then, the information about Battleborn constantly mixed with that of other hero shooters
This is what it was about: Hartmann explains the exact problem of Battleborn back then: The game was presented early and looked interesting; however, there was no continuous marketing campaign for the game, but rather, one heard bits and pieces about it and then quickly forgot.
Somehow, there was a feeling that Battleborn kept disappearing completely from players’ awareness, only to return for a brief moment: “Oh right, that existed too, didn’t it?”
The marketing for Battleborn became blurred in the minds of players with information about a series of other “hero shooters” that also emerged between 2014 and 2016, most notably Overwatch.
Players constantly wondered: “What was this Battleborn again?” They struggled to distinguish between Battleborn, Paladins, Lawbreakers, Paragon, and Gigantic – all somewhat similar games, featuring a cast of exciting heroes. All shooters, all somehow set in an arena – all were games that looked interesting and vied for attention.
There are some great trailers for Battleborn; my personal favorite is the trailer for E3 2015 – the song is titled “Fitzpleasure – by alt-J”

Ultimately, Activision Blizzard then overwhelmed the competition with the huge and great campaign around Overwatch – Battleborn was hopeless:
Battleborn was released on May 3, 2016
Overwatch was released on May 24, 2016
This duel was one that Battleborn could only lose, especially since they had failed in the 3 years prior to convey to all interested parties what kind of game they had and how cool it actually was.
One developer’s heart was broken by the end of Battleborn:
In Diablo Immortal, some players are currently dissatisfied with Blizzard’s decision on how they handle certain cheaters. MeinMMO shows you what’s behind this.
The reason seems to be that the purchased Eternal Orbs were charged back, as several affected players report on reddit.
The affected players are now referred to as “Negative Orb Players” (Eternal Orbs = English: Eternal Orbs), as their “Eternal Orbs” account shows a negative balance.
If you don’t know what Diablo Immortal is all about, you can find out everything you need to know in just 3 minutes on MeinMMO:

Everything you need to know about Diablo Immortal – in 3 minutes
Why is it considered cheating for some players? Negative Orb Players have paid significantly less to third parties than those who purchased Eternal Orbs through official channels.
Since the Eternal Orbs play a large role in having a strong character in Diablo Immortal, this unofficial route creates an unfair advantage over players who buy Eternal Orbs legitimately.
Negative Orb Players have thus potentially paid less for a strong character than usual and can now perform strongly in the PvP mode Battlegrounds.
There are even players in Blizzard’s official forum asking for action against the third parties:
The player ThanTaNoz complains in the Blizzard forum about third-party sellers of Eternal Orbs (via forums.blizzard.com).
No Ban for Cheaters
How does Blizzard plan to tackle the cheaters? The reddit user No_Peace_3031 shared a screenshot where Blizzard responded to his support ticket explaining how they will address the so-called Negative Orb Players.
According to the screenshot, these players will not be banned but will have limited gameplay. For example, the affected reddit user paleblood explains that players with a negative “Eternal Orbs” account can no longer participate in group activities.
As an example, paleblood mentions joining a group, rifts, and dungeons. However, he also states that Negative Orb Players can still play Battlegrounds. This is the PvP area of Diablo Immortal.
The affected reddit user and “Negative Orb Player” paleblood describes his situation:

Players Express Criticism for Blizzard Not Banning Cheaters
Why are players unhappy? Some players believe that Blizzard should ban “Negative Orb Players”. After all, the negative orb account balance indicates that they purchased from third-party sellers at discounted prices, and Blizzard should view this as cheating and punish it, as players can continue to participate in PvP.
For example, a reddit user writes: “Why? This is nonsense. If I had known there would be no ban, I would have just bought from third parties.”
Further reactions on reddit include:
KHRoN via reddit: “Blizzard’s reaction to this situation is the best proof that this game was developed to take money from players, not to create a genuinely playable game… unfortunately.”
FerryAce via reddit: “This is an incredibly ridiculous step from Blizzard. If they promote cheating […], this game will be dead.”
No_Peace_3031 via reddit: “Negative Orb Players can still play the game with the party finder and destroy anyone in Battlegrounds without consequences.”
Axten-89 via reddit: “So they will not ban cheaters, […] but you get a permanent ban if you use a spoon or a macro for a little AFK leveling, makes sense.”
What do you think about Negative Orb Players not being banned and still being able to participate in PvP? Do you find this acceptable, or do you believe Blizzard should take harsher action? Feel free to share your thoughts here on MeinMMO in the comments!
By the way, we asked a lawyer why Diablo Immortal is allowed in Germany despite its heavily criticized mechanics.
Because if everyone agreed with him, he would be doing something wrong, from his perspective:
If the so-called – from the perspective of the people – the so-called great MontanaBlack has taken apart gamescom and has pulled masses behind him like no one before, it naturally delights those who celebrate me, the fans out there, who celebrate it because they see that Uncle Monte is still the one he has always been, one of the most successful people that has probably ever existed on the Internet in the German space.
But there are also people who cannot stand me and would use that against me. But that’s okay.
However, MontanaBlack admits that he feels bad if people were shoved aside because of him. He does not condone people running after him en masse. He does not want that.
But when he walks through the hall with 35 people, he cannot see what happens 50 meters behind him.
The accusation that his community is homophobic is rejected by MontanaBlack. There may have been one or two among the 500 people following him who had issues with homosexuals. But that does not mean that the entire community should be slandered.
What does gamescom say about it? We requested a statement from gamescom on August 30:
It is particularly important to us that everyone feels safe and comfortable at gamescom. Therefore, we take the incidents surrounding MontanaBlack’s visit to gamescom and all other reported incidents very seriously and will analyze them closely. Reckless behavior, intolerance, and violence have no place at gamescom.

This does not sound like an expulsion of MontanaBlack. But perhaps next time they will be better prepared for such a mass complaint and can potentially prevent a procession through the crowd that is perceived as disturbing by so many. Perhaps the Twitch streamer can be led to a stage through a back entrance.
Already in 2020, MontanaBlack was accused by satirist Jan Böhmermann that his community was susceptible to right-wing slogans. Even then, MontanaBlack rejected that.
According to MontanaBlack, beneath the criticism and advice on what could be improved, there is also a lot of “nonsense.” MontanaBlack sees criticism as a confirmation.

How did this number of security personnel come about? In a Twitch stream shortly after gamescom, MontanaBlack made it clear that this was not all planned – he too was surprised by the commotion surrounding him (via twitch):
Initially, he planned to come to gamescom with 6 security personnel, 3 for him and 3 for his companion Marc Gebauer. They thought that might not be enough, but had no benchmark for how many people would react to him – as MontanaBlack had last attended gamescom in 2018.
When MontanaBlack and Gebauer then “stepped” into gamescom, it quickly became clear that more security was needed. At the peak, they had gathered 35 security personnel: 10 bodyguards paid for by Gebauer and MontanaBlack, and another 25 bodyguards provided by gamescom.
Is indeed an exceptional occurrence in the German Twitch scene:
“As if I am El Presidente MontanaBlack”
How did MontanaBlack feel about the crowd?
Yes, it was certainly a cool feeling when I rode the escalator up, turned around and saw hundreds of people cheering for me as if I were El Presidente MontanaBlack – but otherwise I must tell you, it was rather unpleasant and not enjoyable for me.
Because you might think as an outsider that it is cool to be cheered all the time, with people shouting my name – and there are moments when people in the background scream “Monte, Monte” that you are proud of. But overall, the entire situation at gamescom was just a stress factor for me.
This is the moment on the escalator that the Twitch streamer describes:
“Almost died? I can’t take that seriously”
What does he say about the criticism of his appearance?
Amidst all the praise and ‘Oh, that was so cool,’ some people also called for a gamescom ban for Uncle Monti. Criticism, I want to mention, directed at me, how irresponsible it would be for me to attend gamescom given the number of viewers I have. They also criticized gamescom. […]
Criticism that I can understand, I also take to heart. When a young lady writes: “I almost died at gamescom yesterday” and then in the text it says “Her hair was pulled out and blabla”, I can’t take that seriously at first. […] Because that’s not something you joke about.

Online, some called for a personal apology from MontanaBlack. The streamer himself states that others even demanded his expulsion from future gamescom events.
According to MontanaBlack, beneath the criticism and advice on what could be improved, there is also a lot of “nonsense.” MontanaBlack sees criticism as a confirmation.

According to MontanaBlack, beneath the criticism and advice on what could be improved, there is also a lot of “nonsense.” MontanaBlack sees criticism as a confirmation.
The organizers of gamescom in their statement to MeinMMO
This does not sound like an expulsion of MontanaBlack. But perhaps next time they will be better prepared for such a mass complaint and can potentially prevent a procession through the crowd that is perceived as disturbing by so many. Perhaps the Twitch streamer can be led to a stage through a back entrance.
Already in 2020, MontanaBlack was accused by satirist Jan Böhmermann that his community was susceptible to right-wing slogans. Even then, MontanaBlack rejected that.

Online, some called for a personal apology from MontanaBlack. The streamer himself states that others even demanded his expulsion from future gamescom events.

The German Twitch streamer Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris had a huge appearance at gamescom 2022 with a security entourage of 35 bodyguards and about 500 fans in tow. While the entourage moved through gamescom, a young woman is said to have been injured, others report being insulted in a homophobic manner or thrown to the ground. There was heavy criticism directed at the Twitch streamer and gamescom: Some said that MontanaBlack should not have attended gamescom at all. Others demand his expulsion. The streamer himself remains relaxed about it. He interprets the appearance as a confirmation of his immense success.
When he arrived at gamescom in Cologne, he showed up with a huge entourage of 35 security personnel. Behind him, a mass of young fans followed, shouting his name. MontanaBlack estimates that about 500 people chased after him.
This mass of people, the mix of security personnel and enthusiastic fans, did not sit well with some fair attendees.
This is the criticism directed at him: As tweets revealed, the entourage surrounding MontanaBlack behaved recklessly (via twitter):
This mass gathering is said to have resulted in unrelated fair attendees…
being thrown to the ground
being insulted in a homophobic manner
being threatened to the point of experiencing panic attacks
losing interest in gamescom

In November 2020, the PlayStation 5 was released to great fanfare. However, shortly after the launch, the first rumors about a Pro version of Sony’s new console emerged. In this article, we will take a look at what we can expect from an improved model.
It has now been almost exactly two years since the PS5 was launched. Since the lifespan of modern consoles typically lasts a maximum of seven to eight years, it is quite possible that the coveted console has already spent a quarter of its time behind it.
For this reason, this article will address why a PS5 Pro could definitely exist and what we could expect from it.
Here you can find the announcement video for the official Pro controller of the PS5:

Sony has always released mid-gen consoles in the past
Similar to Nintendo, Sony is also known for releasing what are called mid-gen consoles. These are modified or improved versions of the original consoles that usually appear after about three years. Examples include the slim versions that have actually been released for every single console in the PlayStation series, or the PS4 Pro.
Compared to the original PlayStation 4, it was capable of displaying better frame rates (FPS) and also 4K resolutions for the first time – a world first for consoles.
A comparison of the PS4 Pro, the original PS4, and the PS4 Slim.
Microsoft released the Xbox One X a year later in November 2017, which was also a significant upgrade compared to the original Xbox One.
Since technological advancement is currently progressing rapidly, it has almost become unavoidable to release improved versions of the current console generation – not least to remain competitive.
This is also evident in the following quote from former PlayStation head Shawn Layden:
You start working on the next-generation platform almost the day after you release whatever the current generation is. The development of the PlayStation 5 is very far behind. (…) You always have to be a little ahead of things.
Shawn Layden
Accordingly, there have also been some initial rumors about a PS6:
Will a PS5 Pro get significantly more performance than the PS5?
What could make a PS5 Pro technically better? The PS5 is already enormously powerful. For example, it is capable of displaying certain games like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 and Fortnite in 4K and with 120 Hz in addition to ray tracing.
However, the most noticeable enhancements may likely be a stronger GPU, further improved and more stable frame rates, and higher resolutions, such as the output of native 8K. The latter is, however, already promised on the packaging of the current console, yet there is not a single game that can run at this resolution on the PlayStation 5.
One reason for this might also be that 8K technology is still not widespread enough, and developers are therefore not programming their games accordingly.
However, since Sony also manufactures televisions, it would be conceivable that a truly 8K-capable PS5 Pro could also stimulate sales of TVs with this modern technology. A similar situation occurred with the PS3 and the then-new Blu-ray technology.
The storage is likely to be larger in a PS5 Pro
What upgrade does the PS5 Pro urgently need? Furthermore, the NVMe SSD of the PS5 Pro should undergo an upgrade. The storage volume of the PS5, with just 825 GB of built-in storage, is not particularly large. Of that, about 650 GB remains for installing games and software.
However, as triple-A games are becoming increasingly storage-intensive, it is imperative that the storage of a PS5 Pro should inevitably be increased. For example, the currently largest game for the console, “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” with 225.3 GB, occupies nearly a third of the available storage on the PlayStation 5.
We therefore believe that Sony will opt for increased storage in a potential PS5 Pro. It may follow the example of the PS4 Pro, which had a 1 TB HDD. The option to expand storage with an additional SSD should still be available in a Pro version of the console.
With an additional SSD, you can significantly enhance the PS5. And you should definitely consider acquiring an additional NVMe SSD for your PS5:
How might a PS5 Pro differ in design from the original console? Clearly, the PS5 is a massive piece of hardware. Compared to a slim variant of the console – which may even be in development right now – it is quite possible that a Pro version could even gain a few centimeters and grams. This was already the case with the PS4 Pro, which grew considerably compared to the original console.
Nevertheless, it is likely that Sony will not abandon the polarizing design of the PS5 but rather build on the console’s futuristic look. This has also been observed in the past with mid-gen consoles.
When to expect a PS5 Pro
When might a possible release date for the PS5 Pro be? The regular PS5 is still hard to come by; is a PS5 Pro even realistic? Just recently, PlayStation boss Jim Ryan announced in Sony’s 2022 Business Segment Briefing that “more people want a PS5 than there ever were for the PS4”. Yet the demand still clearly outweighs the available supply. The main reason lies still in the supply difficulties caused by the Corona pandemic and the worldwide semiconductor shortage.
Additionally, the situation is further complicated by rising production costs due to inflation.
For these reasons, the shift to a new manufacturing process and thus also the release of a PS5 Pro in 2023, on the occasion of the three-year anniversary, currently seems difficult to imagine.
Nonetheless, one can be quite sure that there could be new indications of the improved console in the not-too-distant future. However, there is no official release date, and Sony has also not yet introduced a new console.

In the Call of Duty community, there are a few dark corners. Aggressive players without respect or restraint rampage through the chats, insulting both friends and foes. However, CoD is cracking down more and more, banning massive numbers of accounts, demanding name changes, and introducing 3 new behavioral rules.
Call of Duty has always been a phenomenon in gaming. In recent years, however, the most successful shooter franchise has stepped up its game even further, gaining many millions of players. With this comes a great responsibility.
The CoD community has a bad reputation. Most players can behave, are fair, helpful, and unobtrusive. But as is often the case, there is a small minority that causes trouble.
Racism, bullying, intolerance – if you play with active in-game chat, you will unfortunately come into contact with such things sooner or later.
Call of Duty clearly stands against such behavior, showing its progress in the fight against the toxic minority in a recent blog post and introducing new rules that all players must confirm right before the start of the CoD MW2 beta.
We are embedding a trailer for the new Modern Warfare 2:

CoD MW 2 excites players in 30 seconds for the new campaign: “Looks like a movie”
What progress are the developers reporting? Call of Duty has already banned hundreds of thousands of accounts that have misbehaved. Additionally, players with offensive names are forced to change them. The numbers:
Back then, it was also announced that voice chat would be analyzed more closely to detect toxic behavior. This system also includes name creation in-game and the text chat. The filtering system now covers 14 languages.
Languages of the CoD filter system
English
French
Italian
Portuguese
German
Spanish
Russian
Polish
Japanese
Korean
Chinese – Traditional
Chinese – Simplified
Turkish
Arabic
What new rules are there? To provide players with clear and simple guidelines on how to behave correctly in the game, there is a new “Code of Conduct” – a behavioral code consisting of 3 parts:
Treat everyone with respect
Compete with integrity
Stay vigilant
Basically, it’s about behaving reasonably towards other players, not cheating, and reporting violations of the first two rules to CoD. You can find the complete English blog post on callofduty.com.
Call of Duty has steadily grown and continues to have a lot of potential. They want to ensure that players feel more comfortable and look out for each other despite the competitive environment.
Do you think CoD is doing enough to combat toxic behavior in its games? Is there something specific that you wish for? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
In Final Fantasy XIV there are ways to get new stylish hairstyles for your characters. We from MeinMMO will reveal to you here which ones they are and how to get them.
In FFXIV there is a saying that glamour is the real endgame. And of course, this includes not only stylish clothes but also hairstyles. There are several different methods to obtain new hairstyles. Once a hairstyle has been unlocked, it will be available at the cosmetician and can be used immediately.
Some hairstyles can also be purchased at the market board for Gil. For this, you need to go to the “Miscellaneous” tab and flip through some pages. However, they are often very expensive and not everyone can afford them.
The hairstyles in this guide are organized by their locations. At the top are the hairstyles that have been added with the latest updates. Once a new update is out, they will be replaced with the new ones and categorized accordingly.
The status of the article is September 14, 2022 (Patch 6.2).

In Pokémon GO, you can currently encounter the Ultra Beasts Kaguron and Katagami. We at MeinMMO show you where to find each monster, how strong they are, and whether you have a chance at a Shiny.
Which monsters are involved? On September 13, 2022, there was a major raid boss rotation in Pokémon GO, which is why you can now encounter the Ultra Beasts Kaguron or Katagami in level 5 raids in certain parts of the world.
What kind of monsters they are, where you can find which raid boss, and how strong they actually are are summarized for you below.
Here are our counters guides to the new Ultra Beasts:
Kaguron: Kaguron is an Ultra Beast from the 7th generation of games. It is a Flying and Steel Pokémon and has no pre-evolutions or further evolutions. You can recognize the monster by its distinctive appearance. The Ultra Beast has a thin, white body surrounded by a metallic gray-green coat.
Katagami: Just like Kaguron, Katagami is also an Ultra Beast from the 7th generation of games. The Grass and Steel Pokémon also has no other evolutionary stages. You can recognize the small monster by its white body adorned with yellow and orange decorations, resembling a folded origami.
What are Ultra Beasts? The Ultra Beasts are mysterious Pokémon from another dimension. They can switch to the world of Pokémon GO using wormholes known as Ultra Wormholes. Besides Kaguron and Katagami, there have been four other Ultra Beasts catchable in the game: Anego, Schabelle, Masskito, and Voltriant.
How strong are Kaguron and Katagami?
Kaguron: The Ultra Beast Kaguron particularly shines with good stamina. Its defense and attack are solid. It has the following stats:
Attack: 207
Defense: 199
Stamina: 219
Its moveset is somewhat limited for the Flying and Steel Pokémon. With its two Steel Charge Attacks, Iron Head and Ramsch, it has two relatively fast charge moves, but it lacks a Steel quick move.
Similarly for the Flying type. Here it can benefit from the quick move Air Slash, but has no suitable charge move. For this reason, it is rather uninteresting for raids and the GO Battle League.
Katagami: In contrast to Kaguron, Katagami scores with a high attack value. Its defense and stamina are solid as well. Its stats are as follows:
Attack: 323
Defense: 182
Stamina: 139
Furthermore, its attacks utilize a good moveset with Leaf Blade and Leaf Tornado, which deals significant damage to the opponent. Thus, Katagami can rank among the 10 best Grass attackers in Pokémon. In the GO Battle League, however, it is less interesting.
Pokémon GO: The strongest attackers of all types in the video
Are there shiny versions of Kaguron and Katagami?
No, so far both Ultra Beasts have not yet been found in their shiny form in the game. Thus, you still cannot encounter any Shiny after the raid. However, once they make their debuts in Pokémon GO, you will definitely hear it from us at MeinMMO.
Unlike most other raid bosses in Pokémon GO, Kaguron and Katagami cannot be found equally in all parts of the world. Where each of the monsters spawns and what you need to pay attention to is summarized for you below.
How to get Katagami: The search for Katagami is quite easy for players in the northern hemisphere, which includes Germany. Here, the Pokémon spawns everywhere in level 5 raids.
To defeat it, you only need to find an appropriate raid. Since there is also a corresponding raid hour with Katagami in this region on September 14 and September 21, you shouldn’t have any problems encountering the Ultra Beast.
Trainers in the southern hemisphere have less luck, so you should invite your friends to these raids, so they also have the chance to get a Katagami.
How to get Kaguron: Just like Katagami, Kaguron is also only regionally available. It spawns alongside Katagami in the level 5 raids of the southern hemisphere. Here in Germany, you cannot easily encounter the raid boss.
To secure an example, you can ask friends to invite you and participate in remote raids. Alternatively, apps like PokéGenie or PokéRaids can also help, where you can be invited to these raids as well.
How to find friends in Pokémon GO is summarized for you below:
How long are Kaguron and Katagami in the raids? Both Ultra Beasts will be available in their respective regions in level 5 raids until September 27, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time.
Have you already secured the new Ultra Beasts? And which raid bosses are you hoping for in October in the level 5 raids? Let us know in the comments.
The action RPG Babylon’s Fall from PlatinumGames, the creators behind hits like NieR:Automata or the Bayonetta series, is on the verge of shutting down. After not even 365 days, the servers and associated websites will be taken offline. MeinMMO summarizes the most important information for you here.
What is Babylon’s Fall? Babylon’s Fall is a third-person action RPG with hack-and-slash elements. You play as a Sentinel and must explore the Tower of Babylon. There, you fight powerful foes and can continuously earn better equipment.
The game can be played solo as well as in groups of four players. There is also a social hub where you can find NPCs, quest givers, and merchants. You can interact with other players and form groups for the next adventure, much like in Destiny.
However, there is a peculiarity: In addition to your four primary weapons sword, shield, hammer & bow, your character can equip two astral weapons. The order in which you use your weapons in combat changes their effect and allows you to perform cool combination attacks.
Despite this, the game spectacularly failed about half a year after its release and we will show you the reasons for that.

Why Babylon’s Fall flopped
Why did Babylon’s Fall fail? The first trailer for the game received a lot of positive feedback, but during the beta phase, critical voices began to accumulate. While the combat system was praised, players criticized the level and item design. The graphics, which were meant to resemble a living painting, were also criticized and subsequently revised.
Many players were frustrated that Babylon’s Fall became a live-service game; they would have preferred it to be a single-player game like NieR: Automata or Bayonetta.
At release, the game failed to impress. Most reviews were mixed or negative. However, the biggest problem with Babylon’s Fall is the lack of active players. Most of the time, fewer than 50 Sentinels were on the servers. At times, Steam even recorded only a single player, who was exploring the Tower of Babel alone (via steamdb.info).
The trailer for Babylon’s Fall looked quite promising:

What happens next with Babylon’s Fall
In a community statement, the developers from PlatinumGames apologized to players for the shutdown of Babylon’s Fall. They outline how the game will proceed before the servers are finally shut down on March 3, 2023.
September 13, 2022 – The sale of the digital and physical versions of the game. The sale of in-game currency will also be stopped.
November 29, 2022 – Season 2 ends and the sale of the premium battle pass will cease. At the same time, a final season will start, adding special rewards and an event mission.
December 2022 – Additional unique rewards will be added.
January 2023 – Another event mission will be released.
February 2023 – The last event mission will become playable and a quest boost will be implemented.
On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, the developers will shut down the service for Babylon’s Fall. This will result in the servers being taken offline and the websites being discontinued. Would you have been interested in a free-to-play version? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
Until last night, Solar Titans in Destiny 2 were still immortal kings. Bungie generously awarded them the powerful Solar armor Exotic “Lorelei’s Splendor” at the beginning of the year. A few weeks later, it became the most popular Exotic for Solar Titans because it made them almost invincible. However, with yesterday’s hotfix, the “Era of the Immortal” has now ended, as Bungie has drastically nerfed the Exotic once again.
Which Exotic has Bungie nerfed now? Destiny 2 deployed update 6.2.0.3 to the servers yesterday, which actually only fixed a few issues in the game and also did not include a nerf for Divinity. But shortly after, Solar Titans noticed that their beloved Exotic, the “Lorelei’s Splendor”, was not functioning as usual.
Initially, they hoped this was just a bug caused by the update. But then Bungie posted on Twitter the addendum that the “Lorelei’s Splendor” had received an adjustment. They just forgot to include it in the patch notes.

A small addendum that immediately led Solar Titans to hang up their beloved Exotic in Destiny 2. While the Exotic was still usable after its first nerf, yesterday’s nerf made it only half as effective.
What changes were made to the “Lorelei’s Splendor”? In a first nerf on March 3, Bungie ensured that the Lorelei’s Splendor now only generates one solar spot when a barricade is deployed. If critically injured, it still grants a solar spot, but now also requires charged class ability energy.
However, Titans could still compensate for this first nerf, as the exotic helmet with the wings was still strong enough despite this adjustment – thanks to the still solid restoration x2.
Yesterday’s adjustment, however, was much more severe. Titans now receive only half as much healing from the helmet. With update 6.2.0.3, Bungie reduced the health restoration from solar spots from x2 to x1.
Without Lorelei’s Splendor, there will be more casualties among Titans instead of Mega-Heal.
This change now requires Titans to die more often again. Both in PvE and PvP.
And likely because the armor Exotic was simply too dominant and powerful. Especially compared to other Solar options that hardly any Titan thought of anymore.
Bungie’s balance philosophy has changed: In the early years of Destiny, Bungie still wanted a “living game,” where there is at least one powerful weapon or strong Exotic every season. Now, balance is much more important.
The Lorelei’s Splendor of Titans was simply a staple among the Exotics that hardly any Solar Titan wanted to do without in recent months. Many even left the helmet on, when Bungie introduced Arc 3.0 with Season 18. This shows how good the helmet really was in the game.
The Titan Solar Exotic “Path of Burning Steps”.
Perhaps a bit too strong: The fact that you get double regeneration without having to do anything other than deploy a barricade or take damage was immensely popular among players. This made it almost impossible to die in PvE and offered the simplest method of application.
In many endgame contents, Titans survived almost everything with it.
In the Grandmaster Dungeon “Duality,” where countless enemies usually destroy Hunters and Warlocks quickly, the Lorelei’s Splendor of Titans provided solid survival skills.
Titans need to think about alternatives again: After the nerf, the Lorelei’s Splendor has certainly not become useless. It still provides easy healing – just not as overwhelming.
This is likely intended to encourage Solar Titans to start thinking about alternative options again and vary their armor Exotics according to the activity. This way, the armor Exotics “Heart of Inmost Light” or “Path of Burning Steps” can also come into play.
What do you think about the change? Was it necessary because the helmet strengthened Titans too much? Or do you think the nerf is unfair because the helmet was just right as it was and did not deserve a nerf. Which Exotic do you think Titans will use now? Feel free to share your thoughts with the Destiny 2 community in the comments.
Read here which Exotic might be next on Bungie’s nerf list:
The Steam Deck gives you the opportunity to play your Steam games on the go. But how well do MMORPGs actually play on the Steam Deck? MeinMMO editor Benedikt Schlotmann tried it out for you.
With the Steam Deck, you can theoretically play all your Steam games on the go. But how well does the Steam Deck suit extensive games like MMORPGs? To find out, I took two major MMORPGs and installed them on my device.
You can read about the experiences and how well the MMORPGs play on the device in this article.
Which games did I choose? I opted for the two MMORPGs New World and Star Wars: The Old Republic. New World is still very fresh, while The Old Republic has been around for several years.
Both games are rated as “playable” by Steam itself for the Steam Deck. This means that installation goes smoothly, but you need to set up some things yourself or certain commands require keyboard input, and not everything works with the controller. In the background, the device runs not Windows, but SteamOS, a proprietary operating system by Valve.
New World on the Steam Deck: If it weren’t for the damn controls
What kind of game is this? New World is an MMORPG that was released on Steam on September 28. You take on the role of a freely created hero and fight your way across the fictional continent of Aeternum.
How well does the game run on the Steam Deck? New World starts on the Steam Deck without issues. But here the first problem becomes apparent: New World does not offer official controller support. However, there is the option to use community settings, which work very well. The controller settings can also be further customized to your personal needs.
Therefore, you have to make do with mouse emulation of the touchpad for the first menus, like server selection. This works quite well, but it is cumbersome. Character creation is similarly confusing, so I eventually turned off the game in frustration and created my character in desktop mode.
New World on the Steam Deck: Cumbersome controller controls.
The next problem follows immediately, as New World complains that the file “Easy Anti Cheat” cannot be loaded when I want to start with my character. But there is a solution, which altarofgaming.com pointed out to me. With the fix, the game starts without problems.
With the fix, I can then play New World. I fight through the tutorial and end up on the beach of the starting area, where I defeat more drowned sailors and unlock my next level up. Despite many new players regularly appearing in the zone, the performance remains stable.
The performance itself is quite good on the Steam Deck; I couldn’t observe significant frame drops. I consistently get 50 – 60 FPS on high graphic settings. However, the Steam Deck gets very hot while gaming.
In handheld mode, especially fonts and menus are partly very small, and the chat is hardly recognizable. With the Steam button and X button, you can open the keyboard, but I have never written long texts with it.
Star Wars: The Old Republic: Small text, but otherwise great performance
What kind of game is this? Star Wars: The Old Republic is an online role-playing game that was released in 2011 as a purchase title with a subscription model. Later, the game was converted to Free2Play. You take on the role of a Jedi, Sith, or soldier and complete various missions for the Republic or the Empire.
How well does the game run on the Steam Deck? The game also starts without issues. I can log in through the launcher without difficulties and then land in character selection. Character creation here is also a test of patience, but it runs slightly better thanks to improved controller controls.
Otherwise, the aged MMORPG runs very smoothly on the Steam Deck and looks damn good on the small display of the Steam Deck. With my Jedi Knight, I can roam effortlessly across the planet Quesh and defeat numerous enemy groups blocking my way.
The Old Republic on the Steam Deck – good performance, but fiddly.
The ability bar is spread colorfully across the buttons of the Steam Deck. This is primarily a gamble at the beginning, hitting the right buttons. I use the presets of the Steam Deck. It regularly happens to me that I accidentally hit the wrong button during fights and waste my medikits with a full health bar. The game explains absolutely nothing to me: I felt that it took forever before I could loot enemies.
What is also noticeable is the small display. Especially the inventory with its rectangular boxes looks very small and fiddly. However, the font size is better than in Amazon’s New World. The temperatures are also more manageable here than in New World.
I wouldn’t buy a Steam Deck for MMORPGs in handheld mode
What is my conclusion? MMORPGs like New World or The Old Republic run on the Steam Deck without problems: The games either start without issues or with minor limitations on the Steam Deck and are playable with more or less significant effort.
However, as soon as there is a genuine controller support (New World) missing or very many small or nested menus come into play (The Old Republic), gaming becomes quite cumbersome.
This primarily applies to handheld mode. When I connect my Steam Deck to the TV or gaming monitor, the games shine in higher resolution and I can also use mouse and keyboard. Full HD, however, is only possible when I start the games from desktop mode and not directly from Steam.
But honestly: If I’m already playing on the monitor and have to choose between Steam Deck and gaming PC, I clearly prefer the latter. For “real” couch gaming, I will probably continue to reach for the Switch:
The Steam Deck can also be connected to a monitor via USB-C.
How are other games? Currently, I have the most fun on the Steam Deck with smaller titles like Brawlhalla, Persona 4: Golden, or also Temtem. These games not only look good, but they also play really well. Especially games that offer good controller support almost always work excellently on the Steam Deck.
What other handheld devices are there? If you’re looking for other handheld devices besides the Steam Deck, you should take a look at the following list: There are now half a dozen devices that also claim to offer gaming in handheld form. We present the most interesting devices to you here on MeinMMO:
The publishers EA and Tecmo Koei have announced a collaboration. They are working together on an action RPG that resembles the Monster Hunter games.
This is what EA and TK announced: The two publishers reported that they have entered into a new partnership. In collaboration with EA, Tecmo Koei’s Omega Force studio will develop a new action RPG.
This is a new IP set in feudal Japan. It is intended to be “a new type of hunting game” that brings innovative gameplay mechanics and elevates the hunting experience to a new level.
Much more has not been revealed about the new IP, but the details so far make it sound more like a Monster Hunter game rather than a more realistic hunting game shooting wild boars.
So far, there is only this artwork for the new action RPG.
The developer Omega Force has a lot of experience in action games
This is Omega Force: Another hint that it is a game similar to Monster Hunter is the developer Omega Force. Most gaming fans will know the studio for their popular “Dynasty Warriors” series and as the creator of the Musou game genre.
The developers have a lot of experience in the action game field and have already worked with numerous other IPs outside of Tecmo Koei. Their portfolio includes Hyrule Warriors from Nintendo and Persona 5 Strikers from Atlus.
Most importantly, Omega Force already has experience with games similar to Monster Hunter. Toukiden: The Age of Demons and Toukiden 2 borrow gameplay elements extensively from the Capcom games but change the setting. They are set in feudal Japan where players hunt Oni, Japanese demons, instead of monsters.

Some gaming fans on reddit suspect that the new IP from EA and Tecmo Koei will go in the same direction: a Monster Hunter-like action game where players will hunt demons. A kind of Toukiden with a high AAA budget.
However, these are only speculations for now. EA and Tecmo Koei promise to reveal exact information about the game in the coming weeks of September. It is likely that the first details will emerge during the Tokyo Game Show, which is right around the corner and starts on September 15.
What hopes do you have for the new action RPG? Are you hoping for a new Toukiden, or would you prefer a quieter hunting game? Let us know in the comments.
Players in WoW Classic used the PvP in Alterac Valley to farm honor badges casually. However, some teams turn it into endless battles by using the game principle ‘Russian Meta’.
In WoW Classic, many players focus on efficiency. It’s not worth playing long matches to farm honor badges. A currency that can be exchanged at the PvP vendor for weapons and gear.
Those focused on efficiency are now frustrated by the playstyle of others who take the PvP match in Alterac Valley much more seriously.
Most don’t want to fight each other
What is Alterac Valley? It is a battleground with towers, bunkers, and a boss in each headquarters. Each team has a total of 600 “tickets”, meaning they can respawn 600 times. The goal is to either kill the opposing boss or eliminate all opponents until they have no respawns left.
Many turn Alterac Valley into a 5-minute match based on a principle called ‘European Meta’. Both teams position themselves without attacking each other and wait for the capture of the graveyard. They destroy the towers and bunkers of the opposing team, kill the boss, and calmly collect the honor badges.

Russian Meta: Epic battles instead of efficiency
This is the ‘Russian Meta’: Sometimes you encounter teams in PvP that play in Alterac Valley as the developers originally intended. The team charges headfirst into the other and forces them back toward the towers. Then they start fighting their opponents and try to reclaim towers and bunkers before the enemy team does the same.
Due to this gameplay principle, the match lasts significantly longer, often over 30 minutes. Therefore, many players are frustrated and leave the mode instead of engaging in the battle.
What do you think about the playstyle? Do you think it’s good that players want to engage in real battles in Alterac Valley again? Or do you see the mode as an efficient method to quickly get honor badges and are also frustrated by players who turn it into an endless slaughter?
