The former head of Overwatch, Jeff Kaplan, has a final message and warns all players about Overwatch 2. At least, that’s what a YouTuber humorously puts in his mouth.
Overwatch 2 is just about to launch and is dividing the community. Many are excited about the new features and the “relaunch” of the game, while there is also a lot of criticism about the Battle Pass or the unlocking of new heroes. Along with the release, an “old YouTube legend” has reemerged – Dinoflask. He enjoys an extremely good reputation in the Overwatch 2 community and is now delighting fans with a new video.
YouTuber becomes well-known and popular with “reinterpretation” of Jeff Kaplan
Who is Dinoflask? Dinoflask is a YouTuber known for a specific type of video: parodies about Overwatch. Earlier, there were often so-called “Developer Updates,” in which the former Game Director Jeff Kaplan spoke about the game. Dinoflask took these videos, edited them differently, and created a completely different narrative. He puts words in Jeff Kaplan’s mouth that he never actually said in this context and spins his own stories.
Most of it consists of the idea that all changes in the game only happen so that Jeff Kaplan always wins and can squeeze more tears from the players.
Dinoflask’s works are extremely popular for parody videos, often garnering around 500,000 views, sometimes even reaching the million mark.
What can be seen in the video? In the latest video “Overwatch 2 – A New Era,” Dinoflask allows the former head developer Jeff Kaplan to reappear. Aaron Keller (the new head) explains that they have realized that they developed Overwatch 2 with the goal of disappointing players regarding the release of new content. “If you are interested in Overwatch 2, we look forward to […] getting you to pay for new features, maps, and new heroes.”

Then, Jeff Kaplan “hacks” into Aaron Keller’s developer update. Kaplan explains that his time is limited and he must quickly relay important information.
Aaron Keller is actually a robot that Kaplan assembled from a PlayStation, an Xbox, and a PC. In the beginning, Kaplan could still influence the development of Overwatch 2 after his resignation, but now the mech has completely gone out of control and decides unilaterally about the fate of Overwatch 2:
“It is unpredictable what horrors he will bring to the gaming community. It starts with Doomfist becoming a tank, but it ends with Keller being in a tank [Tank] – in front of your house demanding to see your Overwatch 2 preorder.”
In good old Dinoflask fashion, the video is not only a loving parody but also often filled with dark humor. Kaplan explains that he has followed the discussions in the forum about his departure. He has read theories that he was fired for “driving into a group of Mei cosplayers with a car,” that he “did not meet his weekly quota of sexual assaults,” or that he “drank rum in the office and groped himself.” A pitch-black reference to the sexism scandal at Blizzard.
Those who appreciate dark humor will get their fill in Dinoflask’s latest video.
The new Overwatch head reacts: The video has not gone unnoticed by the Overwatch team. The new Game Director, Aaron Keller, has already reacted to the video on Twitter – and apparently takes it with humor. He says:
I could never quite figure out what I was missing, but today I finally feel like a real Game Director of Overwatch 😀 😀 😀

Community reacts enthusiastically: The reactions to the video are overwhelmingly positive and sometimes even very emotional. For many fans, Jeff Kaplan and the Dinoflask parodies are an important part of Overwatch’s identity. In the comments on YouTube and the Overwatch subreddit, it is said:
“This feels more emotional than anything Blizzard could ever have done.”
“God, I know this is a fake, but hearing Jeff Kaplan’s words fills me with so much joy.”
“This really makes me sad. I have spent so much time in Overwatch 1 over the years and have so many good memories. I still remember whenever they released a new ‘Developer Update.’ This feels like the end of an era. Heroes never die.”
“Jeff Kaplan singing ‘My Way’ has done more to remind me of my former love for Overwatch than anything official released in the last 3 years. My respect, Sir.”
What do you think of such parodies and compilations? A brilliant form of art and criticism? Or simply disrespectful and unfunny?

Many were caught off guard by the shutdown of the gaming platform “Google Stadia”. But hardly any player as hard as the YouTuber “ItsColourTV”, as he lives in Rockstar’s fantastic game “Red Dead Redemption 2” practically a second life: He has spent 5,900 hours in Red Dead Online. But this virtual life could abruptly head into the eternal cowboy heaven.
This was the news of the week:
Google wanted to create a competitor to PS5 and Xbox Series X with the Stadia platform that doesn’t require expensive gaming hardware. Players could play on a smart TV or a weak laptop without a console or gaming PC, and didn’t have to download games and patches, but could stream everything.
Google invested a lot of money and resources into the platform, wanting to build studios and release their own titles.
This player is particularly hard hit: The YouTuber “ItsColourTV” has spent 5,907 hours or 246 days with “Red Dead Online”, the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Although Red Dead Online has hardly been developed further by Rockstar, it is a great way for hardcore fans to spend “time outdoors”: Rockstar’s detailed Wild West simulation encourages simply hanging out in the sandbox of the world, enjoying the scenery, and engaging in activities there.
ItsColourTV says he spent time in Red Dead Online primarily with friends, hanging out with them and getting into a lot of mischief.
Many would have wished for DLCs for Red Dead Redemption 2, but it never came to that:

The player emphasizes that on Stadia he even had an outstanding gaming experience.
I think Stadia had the best experience with Red Dead Online because it had dedicated servers. Everyone [on another platform] complained about animal spawns and other server-related issues, but on Stadia you hardly noticed that.

“No, you don’t understand how angry this makes me.”
Player is now afraid of losing everything in Red Dead Redemption 2
What is the problem? Red Dead Online does not have “cross-progression”; progress is tied to Stadia. However, Rockstar currently offers no way to transfer save data from Stadia to another platform.
This is exactly what ItsColourTV is asking the manufacturer for. A single, one-time character transfer from Stadia would save his character: Otherwise, all his progress, all the items he has earned, would be gone in January 2023.
The YouTuber says it is not only about him – many are affected by the closure of Google Stadia, much like him. He not only loses his personal progress but also the connection to the friends he has built over the years.
People write to him:
They have no other platform to play Red Dead Redemption 2, just a “crappy MacBook”.
Another person says he probably has to buy an Xbox, repurchase Red Dead Redemption 2, and then pay a monthly subscription fee.

Will this happen? The story has at least caused quite a stir: The original tweet has now received over 5,000 likes, and many major US sites have picked up the story – maybe Rockstar will eventually relent.
For some players, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the fulfillment of all their dreams:

Midfielders are the most versatile players on the soccer field and can create danger in attack or provide extra security in front of the defense.
In total, the midfield covers 3 positions:
CAM – Central attacking midfielders often have a lack of physicality, but are quick, can dribble, and pass.
CM – Central midfielders are all-round talents and can do a bit of everything.

Potential is dynamic. It depends on your training and the performances as to how much a player will reach their potential.
You can retrain players. For example, defensive midfielders can become attacking players if you believe they are better suited there.

And stalwarts like Ultima Online, Tibia or EverQuest have been around for over 20 years.
Some players who commit to an MMORPG play it almost continuously. Others take breaks but keep returning to the games, reactivating their account and continuing to play.
And when you play an MMORPG over a very long time, you also develop a connection to your characters. After all, you invest a hell of a lot of time and effort into them.
Often, special memories are associated with them, such as the first raid with friends or other cool experiences in the game. It’s a shame to just delete them.
Therefore, we want to know from you: Do you still have such characters that are really old but still playable?
How can I vote? You can cast your vote as always in the poll tool below. Please note that everyone only has one vote and the choice cannot be undone.
So try to remember how old your oldest still playable character is at least approximately.
Let us know in the comments which result you voted for. Was it your oldest character at all or did you have others before that are now deleted or permanently offline? What memories do you associate with these characters?
Have fun voting!

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is all the rage. But does the series convince in all respects? Anime demon Cortyn dares to analyze – and has clear criticism.
Just a few years ago, film and series adaptations of video games had a pretty bad reputation – and most of the time they were flops. Since the terrible series of “The Marios Brothers” or “The Legend of Zelda,” the cliché persisted for several decades.
The latest attempt to bring a video game to television screens is the series “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,” and the hype is enormous. Whether it’s discussions about the “best waifu of the season” or memes flooding the internet – Edgerunners has made an impact.
However, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is unfortunately much less than it could have been. At least that’s my view.
About the Author: Cortyn has been writing for MeinMMO since 2013, always with a particular focus on MMORPGs like WoW, but also RPGs like Witcher and Cyberpunk fall under that.
In his spare time, Cortyn inhales “always” anime series like others do a bag of chips and sends his colleagues bizarre manga memes that no one else understands.
The Story of Edgerunners Briefly Outlined
Without wanting to reveal all the details, here’s at least a brief overview of the starting position after the first two episodes:
Cyberpunk Edgerunners takes place a few years before Cyberpunk 2077 and focuses on the story of David Martinez. He is considered highly gifted and has accordingly made it to the academy of the mega-corporation Arasaka. However, the poor conditions of his single mother make his life anything but pleasant – he is bullied and considered an outsider. After the death of his mother, he unexpectedly comes into possession of a powerful implant, the “Sandevistan.” However, it belongs to Arasaka, which urgently wants it back.
David flees from Pursuit and subsequently survives as an Edgerunner. He joins a crew, completes missions for clients, and begins to augment his body with more and more implants.
Here is the Japanese trailer. The series is also available in German or English:

Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Fans of the RPG epic celebrate the Netflix trailer, but also hope for a cool story
These are also already the two driving points of the plot. The company Arasaka, which tries increasingly hard to capture David in order to exploit his performance with the Sandevistan implant, and on the other side, David, who is making a name for himself as an Edgerunner with his team and fighting against the danger of becoming a “Cyber-Psycho.”
The name “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” is a deliberate double meaning. These “border crossers” act as mercenaries on the edge of legality. They undertake missions in a gray area of the law that could have consequences, but are often simply neglected. At the same time, they are always on the edge of becoming a “Cyber-Psycho.” To fulfill their role as mercenaries, the Edgerunners equip themselves with more and more implants and upgrades, which gradually tug at their humanity. An addiction to more and more upgrades arises until one day they fall into a frenzy and run amok – only to be shot by the police and military.
Studio Trigger was the Perfect Choice – Because They Can Do “Absurd”
Anyone who is a self-proclaimed (and proud) weeb and knows a little about the anime scene already knows Studio Trigger. The animation studio is still relatively young, has a few Gainax veterans (“Neon Genesis Evangelion”) but has already produced some of the most successful anime of recent years. The extremely absurd “Kill La Kill” is part of their portfolio, but the more colorful “Little Witch Academia” and the Mecha success “Darling in the Franxx” were also created here.
And after they had hormonally challenged teenagers controlling battle robots that for some unexplained reason only work when they are operated by men and women in doggy-style position (you just have to love anime, right?) – the crazy world of Cyberpunk 2077 should be a piece of cake, right?
To answer that directly: Yes.
David has to go through a lot.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners doesn’t shy away from much. Right from the first episode, the series makes it unmistakably clear what kind of uninhibited world it plays in, where every high has to be even more intense and absurd than the previous one. Again and again, you see men or women connected to devices in the background that apparently have no other purpose than to provide sexual pleasure – in broad daylight. At the same time, others seek their kick by experiencing violent excesses of criminals in cyberspace in a realistic way, becoming a murderous maniac themselves.
The choice of words is accordingly. Almost every second sentence includes some (sometimes quite creative) obscene insult.
Nakedness and sex are around every corner and no one is bothered by it. It wonderfully manages to depict this abandon and the associated loneliness in this world. Everyone acts cool and elevated, but in the end everyone is alone and only thinks of their own advantage. True connection is rare.
Night City in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners feels brutal and dark, and the series makes no concessions to avoid scaring off any target audience. They stayed true to the source material.
Colorless Characters in a Neon World
While Cyberpunk Edgerunners is, with all due love, not perfect. Because where the series relies on strong visuals in a dystopian world and a lot of brutal action, one aspect falls by the wayside: Deep characters and their development.
When I think back to the old works of Studio Trigger, I immediately have my favorite characters in mind. With Little Witch Academia, I immediately think of the sadistic-apathic witch Sucy, about whom I always wanted to know more than was shown in the anime. With Darling in the Franxx, I immediately see Zero-Two before me, who stood out with her conflict of love and crazy murderer and whose character development I loved.
The visual design of all the characters is cool – but unfortunately, that’s often where it ends.
With Edgerunners, that’s missing. With all the main characters, I never had the desire to learn more about them, because they all seem one-dimensional and above all functional. They have their place in the plot because the plot requires such a role. There’s the leader character on the brink of collapse, so the protagonist can somehow get to that position. There exists the careless brother character only so he can die and trigger a heavy reaction from the sister.
This is a problem that almost all characters in Edgerunners share. They do not feel like an organically grown team, but rather like soulless (but at least cool) characters that only serve exactly one purpose in the plot.
Accordingly, many of the deaths that occur in the series feel insignificant – because no character has plot armor. Death often comes, usually very quickly and unexpectedly, but is rarely truly impressive. One connects too little with the characters to truly embrace them.
The only one who stands out positively here is the cyber-lolita Rebecca, who appears endearing in short moments and in others bursts completely insane from one extreme to the next – and will almost certainly be the center of every second suggestive fanfiction.
The cyber-lolita Rebecca is one of the few characters that stick in memory.
The fact that they opted for less profound characters may be due to the comparatively short length of the series or a deliberate design decision. Because somehow, it also fits into the dystopia of Night City that people do not undergo significant emotional changes and character development – because if one needs a “development,” one simply installs the next cyber-implant and hopes that it’s not the final step to becoming a Cyber-Psycho.
Conclusion: Edgerunners is a Worthy Cyberpunk Anime – But Unfortunately Not More
In summary, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a damn fitting, brutal foray into the world of Night City and also works well if you haven’t played the game. The series never gets boring and races from one action scene to the next. Nevertheless, I was left with an emptiness at the end. Not because the ending was emotionally particularly moving, nor because the anime was already over. Just somehow it feels like after the end, hardly anything is different from the start of the series. As if everything somehow was meaningless.
And that’s why I also think that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners doesn’t need a second season. The series is self-contained, and at least I didn’t feel the desire to want to see more afterwards. It was good while it lasted – but it didn’t evoke the longing for more. Because ultimately, the series lacked what always makes me crave more: Characters whose journeys I want to continue following and about whom I want to learn more.
Edgerunners is a spectacle of effects that flashes brightly and impressively while it runs – and a day later, raises the question of whether instead of an intense fireworks display it could not have created something with a lasting impression.
But that is just my opinion. How did you like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners?

In FIFA 23, the community has discovered how to make some cards significantly faster. We will show you how the trick works and 20 cards that can become much quicker.
This is the new sprint system in FIFA 23: EA has introduced 3 different sprint types for players in FIFA 23 with the AcceleRATE system. There are “Explosive”, “Lengthy”, and “Controlled”, or in German: “Explosiv”, “Anhaltend” und “Kontrolliert”.
Currently, the “Lengthy” type is particularly popular among players, exemplified by Erling Haaland, who is part of the current meta in FIFA 23. This sprint type is designed for larger and heavier players and is characterized by achieving a top speed that is unmatched on long distances.
Here’s how the trick works: On Twitter, the self-proclaimed FUT analyst Nofil Khan has determined how strong and unstoppable the “Lengthy” sprint type is and that it can easily be applied to many cards in Ultimate Team. You just need to use a chemistry style.
However, not every player can become a “Lengthy” sprinter; certain criteria must be met. The player must be at least 1.74 meters tall, have a strength of at least 65, and possess an acceleration value over 50.
And since you can change all values except for height with chemistry styles in FUT, we can easily turn players with the significantly worse “Controlled” sprint into “Lengthy sprinters”.
Here you can see the criteria for the different acceleration categories:
20 cards that can become much quicker
These cards you can make faster: Here are 20 FUT Gold cards that meet all the criteria to become “Lengthy” sprinters. You simply need to apply the corresponding chemistry styles and they will have significantly better sprint behavior.

Where to get the chemistry styles? You can find these items occasionally in FUT packs or on the transfer market. The current hype around “Lengthy sprinters” is likely to make the Architect style particularly expensive.
What do you think of the trick? Have you tried it yet? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
Diablo 4 wants to put more power back in skills – not just on gear
Why is this important? It seems somewhat strange that half a second in a promo video would spark such a discussion. But people have spent countless hours on Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 and know the games inside out. Everyone has their opinion on what a “perfect loot system” should look like.
For many, it is especially important that they can take multiple paths and implement interesting build ideas. That is why such discussions are exciting for hardcore fans:
If a value, like weapon damage or main stat, is too strong, you only focus on that and ignore all other systems.
If it ultimately doesn’t matter what you play because the skills are so strong, the motivation is also missing.
In an optimal system, there should be no “absolute best thing”, but rather multiple paths should be viable – and the player should decide which path to take.
Blizzard has stated that this is exactly what they want to achieve. They want to shift more power from gear back to characters in Diablo 4, so that skill builds feel more significant – at the same time, item decisions should also feel meaningful.
Although there have already been initial leaks about Diablo 4, we probably won’t know whether Blizzard’s decisions are correct until the beta:
Then you’d just want to have main stat on every item and nobody would use pure defensive items. This would limit build diversity:
If every single item slot in a game is used to boost damage, then don’t be surprised if damage increases exponentially and players only choose what deals the most damage, ignoring everything else.
Reddit user shapoonkya
The user apparently wishes for a Diablo 4 where there is also room for items that enhance defense or provide nice upgrades like faster movement.

The user apparently wishes for a Diablo 4 where there is also room for items that enhance defense or provide nice upgrades like faster movement.

If every single item slot in a game is used to boost damage, then don’t be surprised if damage increases exponentially and players only choose what deals the most damage, ignoring everything else.

Blizzard has released a new promotional video that was intended to generate some hype for Diablo 4 . Players have nonetheless discovered new information. They are discussing whether a change makes a difference so that Diablo 4 launches with a better item system than Diablo 2 and Diablo 3.
What kind of video is this?
Blizzard has released a promo video for the “Diablo Hell’s Ink Tour Miami”. It runs for 3:22 minutes (via youtube).
However, people on reddit discover new information about the game Diablo 4 in the video, which they are now discussing.
What detail are they discussing? In the promo video, for a tiny moment, perhaps half a second, you can see the information about a skill in Diablo 4, about “Lightning Spear”.
Here, one user notes that the ability adds 15% of weapon DPS as damage per hit.
This leads to a big discussion.
15% weapon damage per hit is the big detail here.
In Diablo 3, weapon damage was too important – in Diablo 2 not important enough
Why is this important? It’s about the question of what criteria a player uses to select an item:
In Diablo 3, skills scaled extremely well with weapon damage: A Barbarian skill like “Earthquake” dealt 4,800% weapon damage to enemies.
This led to weapon damage being extremely important in Diablo 3, and other aspects of the weapon – such as bonus skills or stats – becoming almost irrelevant.
If in Diablo 4 now a skill uses only 15% weapon damage instead of 4,800% weapon damage as the output point for the skill’s damage, weapon DPS is not an overpowering value, but just one of many aspects of a weapon to consider when deciding which new item to use.
The site PCGamesN writes:
A 15% multiplier on Lightning Spear means that a smaller increase in weapon damage is negligible, making other attributes, affixes, and passives on the weapon likely much more important than just the base damage. If all skills in Diablo 4 follow this pattern, it should resolve the main complaint about the skill system in Diablo 3 – the extreme focus on gear stats due to the huge, stackable multipliers.
PCGamesN
What was the criticism of the item systems of earlier Diablo titles?
A major criticism of Diablo 3 is that players primarily wanted a high weapon damage on the weapon, as the raw damage of a weapon becomes extremely important through the many different multipliers.
In Diablo 2, however, the criticism was that items did not play such a big role, and it was even possible to complete the game “naked” with the Sorceress: The skills became overwhelmingly powerful even without gear.
As a player on reddit explains, Blizzard’s new decision with a moderate weapon damage bonus resolves one of the biggest itemization problems of Diablo 3. It is seen as a “good middle ground” between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3.
Another reddit user explains that the big problem in Diablo 3 has always been that it was a “main stat system”. It’s not a problem if a weapon does 1,000 DPS, but it becomes a problem when you add another 10,000 main stat and it works as a 10,000% multiplier.
Although there have already been initial leaks about Diablo 4, we probably won’t know whether Blizzard’s decisions are correct until the beta:

There was a time when World of Warcraft increasingly focused on the solo experience and also considered how solo players could feel comfortable in group content.
Where there used to be “loot drama” because a ninja-looter rolled need on a popular item even though he didn’t need it, personal loot came into play. Personal loot was significantly fairer and rewarded each player individually – but often harmed the social component and the good feeling of having “won” an item.
With Dragonflight, group looting returns and the rules will even be expanded.
“I rolled Need … need it for my healer alt!”
What will change? In the first raid of Dragonflight, the “Vault of the Incarnates,” group looting will be the only option – it is permanently activated. This means that you will see the dropped items “like back then” and can then roll need or greed to secure the loot. Blizzard has refined the system and made many restrictions and adjustments to keep it fair and efficient for groups.
No one can roll need on an item that they cannot reasonably use. For instance, warriors can never roll need on cloth armor, but priests cannot roll need on a agility staff either.
The system differentiates between “main spec” and “off spec.” Players who use an item for their main specialization always have priority when rolling need.
The general order of priority when rolling is:
Need: Main specialization
Need: Secondary specialization
Greed
You can set your main specialization. For example, if you help out as a healer today as a paladin but are actually retribution, you can still select retribution as your main specialization and thus have priority on retribution items.
You cannot win the same item multiple times. If, for example, a boss drops the same sword twice in the same kill, you can roll on both – but if you win the first item, you will be excluded from the second roll since you already have the item.
You cannot roll need if you are already wearing the exact same item with the exact same item level. However, if the item is in any way an improvement (for example, because it has a socket or a tertiary stat), then you could roll on it.
By the way, the system is also intended to be applied in LFR.
The release of Dragonflight is just around the corner…

WoW: Dragonflight has a release date, coming in November
Can items still be traded? Yes, that is possible. If you win an item, you can trade it with all players who were present during the boss fight and could have legitimately received loot. The previous restrictions that prevented you from trading an item because you do not have another with a higher or the same item level are removed.
Please note that these plans are still based on information and tests from the beta. Blizzard has announced that they want to use the system in Dragonflight, but it is still under discussion.
More about World of Warcraft Dragonflight can be found here:
What does Blizzard hope to achieve? With the change, Blizzard pursues several goals. Firstly, the developers want to make it more transparent who gets loot and why. Because even with “Personal Loot,” players rolled for rewards – that only took place internally in the background.
Moreover, rolling for items is a social interaction that often leads to conversations and amusing situations. At the same time, players have more freedom to trade loot in the raid and adjust it to the needs of the group if they wish.
What do you think of the return of “Group Loot”? Exactly what World of Warcraft needs? Or did you prefer Personal Loot?

Riot Games is continually trying to improve the player experience for the community. New features are added to League of Legendsfrom time to time. Some changes come with special events and remain, while others fail and are quickly forgotten. In 2019, Riot once attempted to introduce a new summoner spell to LoL.
What qualifies as such changes?
At first, Riot Games released a new champion every 2 weeks. However, the frequency has decreased, and they are considering stopping releases altogether.
From time to time, Riot Games revises items in the game, such as the Philosopher’s Stone, the Rod of Ages, and the Nature’s Fury, which was temporarily removed from the game.
Game modes that were online only for a short time during events included Doom Bots of Doom, Urf, Legends of the Poro King, and the Bilgewater event.
Especially during the Bilgewater event, Riot made a significant blunder: they tried to introduce a new summoner spell. What makes this so special is explained here.

Even the best ideas can be poorly implemented
What is the deal with the summoner spell? It is about the spell “Retreat”. This spell was added in version 9.7 in 2019. In the next patch, Riot Games removed the spell from the game.
It is a self-targeting spell that granted you a shield for 2.5 seconds, depending on the champion’s level. Once the time expired, all negative effects were removed from you, and you became invulnerable and untargetable while sprinting a short distance toward your base.
The spell appears to be very strong. Invulnerability and removal of crowd control plus a shield speak for themselves. Thus, abilities like Zed’s ultimate or Vladimir’s could be dodged and ignored. However, the community saw it differently.
What did the community say about it? There were always more convenient alternatives to the Retreat spell with the abilities “Flash” and “Mark/ Sprint”. Although the spell looked strong on paper, it was not very practical in the game, and despite the shield had little impact.
The enforced sprint toward the base was a significant issue. Once the spell was activated, there was no way for you to activate or cancel this spell earlier. This led to special plays being doomed to fail, completely ruining an exciting move.
Riot reacted very promptly to the feedback: After just two weeks, the spell was removed from the game. However, the community had already stopped using the spell well in advance.
Since then, there have been no attempts to add new summoner spells to the game. The current selection of spells seems sufficient to balance utility and fun. For this reason, no new tests for new spells have been conducted. The opinion of the LoL community reflects this as well.

In Pokémon GO your captured monsters are registered in the Pokédex, which is supposed to inform you about the individual Pokémon. However, these entries can sometimes just make you smile. MeinMMO author Franzi Korittke has looked at them and shows you her favorites.
Which entries are we talking about? In Pokémon GO, you can now catch numerous monsters. Each one you have secured or at least discovered somewhere is registered in your Pokédex.
So you will get an overview of which Pokémon are still missing from which region. But that’s not all, because at this stage of your game, you can also learn more about the individual captured monsters.
The texts often contain interesting facts about the respective Pokémon, for example, that the flame on Charmander’s tail indicates its emotional state. But sometimes these are just totally crazy and trigger a funny thought. I have summarized the 10 entries that made me smile directly below.
How was the ranking created? The order of the following ranking is based on my personal rating. Thus, I show you the monsters in ascending order of how much they made me smile. The ranking works its way up to the Pokédex entries that I found the funniest and that sparked the most vivid imagination.
10. Woingenau
Woingenau
When you think about it, the Pokédex entry of Woingenau is probably more questionable than funny, but I still had to chuckle at the thought of several Woingenau standing in a circle, staring at each other for hours without anyone wanting to give up to eat. At least you can’t accuse them of not being consistent.
When two or more Woingenau meet, they try to outlast each other in patience. They want to find out which Pokémon can survive without food the longest. Trainers need to pay attention to this.
Pokédex entry of Woingenau
9. Wonneira
Wonneira
And Wonneira shares a similar pitiable fate, which is also sweet and funny at the same time. It has a fascination for stones, risking its further movement for them.
Its naive nature reminds me of small children on a family outing, who also can’t decide but don’t want to go home without the perfect stone. I find that really cute and the thought puts a little smile on my face.
If it finds white, round stones, it stores them in its bag. Sometimes it carries so many that it can’t walk anymore.
Pokédex entry of Wonneira
8. Floink
Floink
Floink is also a candidate that gets himself into trouble with his clumsy behavior, thereby bringing a smile to some faces.
I imagine the little monster jumping excitedly in front of a nut, directing his flame at it, and then exclaiming “Oops!” because the temperature was too high. Floink should probably practice a bit more patience in the future. Maybe Woingenau can help him with that.
Floink loves to eat roasted nuts. However, it occasionally burns them unintentionally out of sheer eagerness.
Pokédex entry of Floink
7. Pikachu
Pikachu
Pikachu can probably share similar experiences. This Electric-type Pokémon sometimes misjudges its abilities too and instead of roasting nuts, it grills other items, like berries. Even Ash experienced this repeatedly at the beginning of the anime and became a victim.
Whenever Pikachu encounters something new, it shocks it with electricity. If you find a burned berry, this Pokémon misjudged its electric charge.
Pokédex entry of Pikachu
6. Azurill
Azurill
A baby Pokémon that uses its abilities in a pretty cool way is Azurill. It throws its tail like a lasso and flies back afterward. The image in my head of an Azurill being catapulted through the air with its tail leading always makes me smile.
Azurill throws its tail out like a lasso and then flies behind it. One Azurill has managed to cover a record distance of 10 m this way.
Pokédex entry of Azurill
5. Eneco
Eneco
The tail of Eneco has also fascinated the Pokémon from the 3rd generation. Here I have the typical cartoon image from my childhood where a cat chases its tail. This memory can only be funny.
Eneco is fascinated by moving objects and chases after them. This Pokémon often chases its own tail until it gets dizzy.
Pokédex entry of Eneco
4. Alola-Kleinstein
Alola-Kleinstein
Alola-Kleinstein has a special method of resolving disputes: with headbutts. This primarily reminds me of the infamous dwarf chess from the comedy “7 Dwarfs – Men Alone in the Woods”.
There, the dwarves play chess in their own way by hitting each other over the head with the board. I imagine something similar with Alola-Kleinstein.
Kleinstein resolves disputes with headbutts. The iron sand on their heads sticks to the one that has more magnetic force.
Pokédex entry of Alola-Kleinstein
3. Rameidon
Rameidon
Another head-heavy Pokémon is Rameidon. The monster directly resembles a dinosaur, which is known to be extinct. According to Pokémon GO, however, a reason for this was not an asteroid, but its too small brain and thus its stupidity. However, this theory sounds so creepy that it’s funny again.
This prehistoric Pokémon, specialized in headbutts, is said to have gone extinct due to its small brain and stupidity according to a theory.
A Pokémon that is totally cute and whose behavior also brings a smile is Seemops. The Water and Ice-type monster shows its joy by clapping and has a real clap concert with its friends.
No wonder my mind imagines pictures of several Seemops rolling toward each other, similar to the trolls in Frozen, and finally sitting clapping in a circle in front of their food.
Seemops can roll faster than it can run. When groups of this Pokémon eat together, they clap simultaneously to show their joy. Therefore, their meals are very loud.
Pokédex entry of Seemops
1. Seejong
Seejong
The behavior of Seemops can only be topped by Seejong, in my opinion. The evolution of Seemops loves to play with its pre-evolution in its own unique way. The thought of it brightens my day and makes me laugh like a waddling penguin.
Seejong has the habit of juggling everything it sees for the first time on its nose. This Pokémon keeps itself entertained by sometimes balancing a Seemops on its nose and rolling back and forth.
Pokédex entry of Seejong
However, there are still many monsters not yet in Pokémon GO. For this reason, we will surely find some other funny surprises in the texts of the Pokédex in the future.
What do you think of the Pokédex entries in Pokémon GO? Which of the texts made you smile the most? And which monsters are among your favorites from the funniest entries? Let us know here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers on this topic.
The game of the little pocket monsters has already celebrated its 6th anniversary this year. We once took a look back in the past and show you, how huge Pokémon GO was when it was released.

Blue Protocol is a new anime MMORPG that many players have been eagerly anticipating. The reason for this is the strong PvE focus and action-packed battles. However, for a long time, there has been no news about the game. Where does the MMORPG stand in April 2022?
What kind of game is it? Blue Protocol will be a theme park MMORPG from Bandai Namco. It focuses on PvE content and a story revolving around time travel. You flee 1,000 years into the past to prevent a catastrophe and save the world.
The game world is divided into hubs and cities for up to 200 players simultaneously and instanced areas for about 30 players. The system is reminiscent of Guild Wars 2, where there is a loading screen for each area.
You can expect many quests and a strong focus on the story.
The combat system of Blue Protocol is very action-oriented. You must actively target enemies, dodge hostile attacks, and have only a few special moves.
Monsters in the game do not drop equipment. You have to craft your own.
In PvE, there will be solo instances and dungeons for up to 6 players. Raids are also planned.
The game does not feature direct PvP but allows you to compete in leaderboards in PvE.
You can find a complete overview of the MMORPG here:
When will Blue Protocol be released? The game entered beta in Japan in 2020, but it was closed again in December. A release was initially planned for 2021 in Japan and was later expected to happen worldwide. However, since then, it has been suspiciously quiet about the game. There is currently no official release date.
YouTuber TheLazyPeon took a look at Blue Protocol in beta:

It was quiet about Blue Protocol for a long time, but there is hope again
How did Blue Protocol develop after the beta? At the end of 2020, the developers revealed that they want to significantly revamp the combat system of Blue Protocol. The animations, dynamics, dodging, and hit feedback were to be improved. Many hoped that Blue Protocol could be released in 2021 in Japan and possibly even worldwide.
However, the conclusion of the beta at the end of 2020 is still the last news that Bandai Namco has published on the official Japanese website of Blue Protocol.
In 2021, there was a statement from Smilegate, the developer of Lost Ark, that they will distribute Blue Protocol in Korea (via BlueProtocolDB). That, along with a job posting from August 25, 2021, for new developers for Blue Protocol, was pretty much all that happened throughout that year regarding the MMORPG.
There were speculations that the developers of Blue Protocol were overwhelmed, had taken on too much, or that the game could even be canceled. However, it doesn’t seem to look like that anymore.
Action-packed battles and large boss fights are at the forefront of Blue Protocol.
What is new now? For April/May 2022, new job interviews for the development of Blue Protocol and the shooter Gundam Evolution from Bandai Namco have been announced. It is noticeable that new people are being sought for pretty much every area, including programmers, designers, artists, and game planners (via YouTube).
The development of Blue Protocol seems to be continuing, but it is unclear how long players will have to wait for a release. No statements have been made regarding this so far.
There is also no new gameplay or insights into the development.
Will Blue Protocol come to us at all? Officially, there is still no statement regarding a global release. Blue Protocol is said to be aimed at the Japanese market according to official statements.
However, in the past, localization managers for the English language have been sought, and a deal was made with Smilegate for the Korean market. This suggests that Bandai Namco wants to make their game accessible to a larger market.
What do you think about Blue Protocol? Does this anime MMORPG appeal to you?
If you cannot wait for the release of Blue Protocol, you can look forward to the new MMORPG Tower of Fantasy in 2022. We have already played it in beta:
In FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, there are some tasks that hide some really strong packs as rewards. We show you 4 that you can easily complete.
Why packs from tasks? In Ultimate Team, you can draw new players for the club from packs, but buying a pack in the shop usually isn’t worth it. Because the chances of getting strong players from packs are low. Luck determines what kind of players you get. Investing coins or points in the shop is a high risk.
In the “Ones-to-Watch” warm-up, there are 2 strong packs
The second pack: You will receive a “Jumbo Rare Players Pack” (untradeable) when you complete the “Ones-to-Watch Warm-Up”. This usually costs 100,000 coins.
To do this, complete the partial tasks:
“Good Form,” the objective from the first pack
“Star Purchases”: Buy 3 players on the transfer market
“Goal-Scoring Start”: Score a goal with a purchased player in Squad Battles (Semi-Pro) or Rivals
“Telepathy”: Score 1 goal and 1 assist with a purchased player in a Squad Battles or Rivals match
2 easy, strong packs that take some time
What do you need to do? In addition to the two packs mentioned above, you can also obtain two more “Jumbo Rare Players Packs” (untradeable) from the milestones. These are also simple, but it may take some time.
In the milestone “Mastery: Assists”, there is a task that you should achieve 500 assists – with a team that has over 75 overall points.
In the milestone “Mastery: Finishing”, you will find the task of scoring 500 goals with a team over 80 overall rating.
Both tasks reward you with one of the packs.
Which mode you do this in doesn’t really matter. You could theoretically set up a team with an 80+ overall rating, go into Squad Battles, and try to score as many goals as possible on the easiest AI difficulty. Then the task should be completed fairly quickly and you will also climb in the Squad Battles ranking.
Alternatively, you can just play normally and wait until you reach 500 goals and assists. Over several matches, these will accumulate by themselves.
Only if you really need such packs right now, for example, to strengthen your team at the start, might the effort be worth it.
Mastery “Finishing” and “Assists” can also yield a 100k pack
What you need to keep in mind: As usual, there’s no guarantee that you will get anything useful from the packs. However, the chance with such promo packs is higher than with normal gold packs. And with the tasks, you don’t have to spend hundreds of thousands of coins for them.
On the other hand, the bonuses are untradeable, meaning they cannot be sold on the transfer market. Nevertheless, the packs could at least provide you with good players for your team or fodder for upcoming Squad Building Challenges.
Dragon riding in World of Warcraft Dragonflight will soon be available as a group. And the best part: You will be transformed into cute whelplings.
One of the few major features of World of Warcraft Dragonflight is dragon riding. This is a new way of moving where characters can stay in the air for a limited time but reach insane speeds that are significantly faster than epic flying mounts. It’s a form of “skill-based flying,” as those who know the environment can exploit air currents to travel further than others.
However, this brings problems, especially for players with certain limitations. Therefore, there is a simultaneously brilliant and also cute feature: the “Passenger Mode.”
What is this feature? In Dragonflight, you can talk to the NPC “Lithragosa,” learn more about the “Passenger Mode,” and then activate it. The NPC’s description states:
I can grant you a blessing that allows someone in your group to accompany you while dragon flying. A small enchantment to help those who need a little support or just want a different perspective.
Essentially, this ensures that other players can “fly along” with you when you are using dragon riding. Just like on a multi-seat mount, you will cling to the other player.

Especially cute: You will be transformed into a small whelpling that flies alongside the big dragon – like a mother dragon with her young.
Who benefits from this? At first glance, the function may seem of little use to many players – after all, one wants to extensively test the new feature of dragon riding. However, in the long term, one would also like to quickly follow another player who might already have more progress in dragon riding or is simply more skilled at staying on the dragon over long distances.
Additionally, one must not forget that World of Warcraft has many players who live with disabilities. Especially blind players often rely on a “follow” option to run after other characters and thus play together. This “passenger” function is perfectly suited for those who cannot or do not want to fly for whatever reasons.
What do you think of the feature? A cool innovation? Or something that wasn’t needed?
You are looking for a strong forward talent for ST or MS in the FIFA 23 Career Mode? Here you will find forwards with the greatest potential and a selection of affordable forward talents.
This is what talents bring in FIFA 23 Career Mode: The best talents are young players who still have a lot of room for improvement. They can be developed into true world-class players through training and strong performances in matches.
Especially in attack, you need good players with whom you can score the necessary goals. We will show you talents for the positions:
ST: These are forwards who operate right at the front and are out for goals. Alternatively, they can play with their back to the goal and act as providers for other players.
MS: These center forwards play between the attacking midfield and the forward line. They partially take on the role of playmaker and excel with passes, but are also expected to contribute goals themselves.
If you find the right talents, you can develop them in FIFA 23 Career Mode into absolute key players over the years. It is also important to keep two more things in mind:
Potential is dynamic. It depends on your training and performances how much a player can exploit their potential.
You can retrain players. For example, wingers can be retrained as forwards if you believe they will be better suited there.
The market value is not fixed. You can also try to convince your counterpart of a cheaper transfer.
We will show you a selection of the best forward talents in FIFA 23.
Best forward talents with the greatest potential in FIFA 23 Career Mode
These are the selection criteria: We have focused on players with a maximum age of 23 years, as they still have a lot of development potential. The following list shows the players in FIFA 23 with the highest potential, regardless of price.
Important: This may already include established stars who are world-class despite their young age. Accordingly, they may be expensive. You will find cheaper alternatives further down.

Cheap forward talents in FIFA 23 with high potential
These are the selection criteria: Here you will find a selection of attackers under 23 years of age with high potential, who have a maximum market value of 10 million. This makes them suitable for smaller clubs in Career Mode. They can strengthen your club or generate money over the long term.
A “Need for Speed” is currently climbing the charts on Steam. We reveal what is behind the sudden hype.
The fact that old games make a strong comeback on Steam is actually rare. When it does happen, it usually has a rather clear reason – as is the case this time.
One of the most popular racing game franchises in the world has not really managed to establish itself on Steam so far, but suddenly the player numbers of “Need for Speed Heat” are skyrocketing.
How have the player numbers developed? “Explosive” would probably be an understatement. Since its release, Need for Speed Heat (NFSH) has been floating around with rather low player numbers on Steam.
At launch, it peaked at 6,000 players, while during two major sales, the numbers rose again to 10,000 and 13,000. Normally, the peak numbers for NFSH range between 2,500 and 4,000 players – until now.
For several days now, NFSH has been experiencing an explosive increase in players. Old records have been literally shattered, as already on Thursday evening (29.09.), the number of concurrent players rose to over 36,000.
The development of Need for Speed Heat: A “slight”, spontaneous increase. (Image source: steamcharts.com, 01.10.2022)
Meanwhile, this peak has grown again, and it currently stands at over 55,000 concurrent players at peak.
Where does the increase come from? This has primarily two reasons. On one hand, Need for Speed Heat is currently in a “Free Weekend”, allowing players to try the racing game for free. At the same time, a sale is running, reducing the title by a whopping 95% – from its original price of €70 to currently €3.50.
This appears to be prompting many players to at least check out the racing game or add it permanently to their collection.
Or, as a meme in the Steam subreddit summarizes it:

Is Need for Speed Heat worth it? In the end, that’s something everyone will have to decide for themselves. However, the current price of €3.50 should be manageable even if one ends up investing only a few hours into the game. In doubt, it’s worth taking advantage of the “Free Weekend” beforehand to get at least an impression of NFSH.

NFSH currently stands at 84% positive reviews on Steam. Many praise the game as one of the “best ‘Need for Speed’ titles”, comparable to classics like Need for Speed: Underground or Most Wanted.
A major criticism is that the installation of the “EA Origin” software is necessary to play Need for Speed: Heat. This poses an obstacle for many potential buyers and discourages them from purchasing the game.
Have you already checked out Need for Speed Heat? Or does the game go straight onto your “Pile of Shame” that you will never touch again?
In FIFA 23 you can earn rewards for your Ultimate Team through Squad Battles. We show you all the rewards and explain when the rewards arrive.
Here are Squad Battles: Squad Battles is a mode within Ultimate Team. Here you play against AI – not against real opponents, like in Division Rivals.
You can challenge different teams, some stronger and some weaker. Additionally, there are teams with strong, but also with really bad chemistry. They are easier to beat.
How do I get Squad Battles rewards? You earn points with each game in Squad Battles that push you up the leaderboard. Wins earn you more points than, for example, a 0:0 or a loss. If your win is particularly dominant, it gives you extra points.
Additionally, you can choose the difficulty. The higher the difficulty, the more points a game can bring.
You have a week to gather points for the leaderboard. However, you can only play a maximum of 40 matches that count towards the leaderboard.
Depending on how high you finish, you will receive better rewards.
FIFA 23: Squad Battles – Rewards and Time
When do the Squad Battles rewards arrive in FIFA 23? In FIFA 23, the Squad Battles rewards arrive on Sundays at 10:00 AM. However, you should expect a slight delay until 10:05 AM.
At this time, the new competition in Squad Battles also starts. The leaderboard will be reset and you can start from scratch collecting points.
Playing Squad Battles in pairs: If you find matches against AI boring, but still want easy rewards, you can bring some fun into it through co-op.
Squad Battles can also be played in pairs. Additionally, they are good to practice new techniques – such as the new Power Shot:

FIFA 23: Use the power shot correctly – This is how you score epic goals
Other ways to earn rewards are matches against real players in Division Rivals or in the Weekend League. While they bring stronger rewards than Squad Battles, they can also be considerably more challenging.
The YouTuber and entrepreneur Daniel Jung explains to his viewers on his channel not the best gaming builds and does not make reaction videos, but rather math. In an interview, he tells us how he came up with the idea and how he views the digitalization in Germany.
Since 2011, the YouTuber and entrepreneur Daniel Jung has been steadily uploading videos on his channel that introduce various areas of mathematics to his viewers. Whether students or scholars, everyone can find videos that help them with math.
By now, the channel has over 850,000 subscribers and many grateful viewers, but how does one come up with the idea to start such a channel?
Together with Daniel, we from MeinMMO took an excursion into the realm of YouTube and Twitch, an area many of you might not be aware of.
“In the USA, renowned universities have already filmed their lectures since the early 2000s”
MeinMMO: Hello Daniel! Would you like to briefly introduce yourself to our readers?
Daniel: Hi! My name is Daniel Jung and I studied mathematics and sports to become a teacher. However, I decided to use the internet to bring people closer to mathematics, especially through educational videos on YouTube.
MeinMMO: In 2011, YouTube was slowly moving away from cat videos and entering the mainstream. What motivated you to create a channel?
Daniel: I founded my first company parallel to my studies. It was a classic tutoring service, but very local, from my hometown. We helped connect tennis coaches.
These were students who mostly studied sports and another subject. That was quite classic, and that was in the late 2000s. The first of them said: “We discovered videos on the internet that were not just cat videos, but also displayed educational content.”
He thought: “Oh, that’s interesting feedback.” Then I began researching and was amazed that in the USA, actually all or many renowned universities had already filmed their lectures as early as the 2000s. They were first posted on their own learning platforms before YouTube started, and were also uploaded there in 2005.

This is how it started: One of the first videos Daniel published on his YouTube channel.
So, that means there was something there already. It just wasn’t found because there were so many cat videos. And then I said: “I find that interesting.” Only these videos were too long for me. It was a classic lecture.
Then I said from experience, I would much prefer to have shorter segments. I now have a question: “What is an exponent?” or “What is a derivative?” I want that explained in five minutes.
I thought there was a market to understand things in short segments via video. This was before TikTok, before Instagram – fast, fast, fast – 30, 90 seconds. And I didn’t want it in 30 or 90 seconds, but really relaxed in three to five minutes. That’s how the idea began. That was the start.
By now, there are hundreds of videos on Daniel’s channel covering various topics.
MeinMMO: You are now an entrepreneur who has founded several companies. But tell us about the beginnings of your YouTube channel. What did you struggle with the most at the beginning?
Daniel: I actually didn’t struggle at all because I saw it simply as a vehicle to test how you can bring digitalization into education.
One option was: I make a livestream, but that was still very difficult in 2011-12. Just terrible connections; the streams weren’t stable. What I had done classically analog was hard.
But producing a video I found more interesting than just uploading a document online that you have to read through yourself. I wanted to pack the explanatory format of a classic analog lecture into a 5-minute video and make it available via a platform which was the only video platform in 2011.

By now, Daniel explains math in various formats and for different educational groups.
I simply worked with the feedback. So, how can you optimize yourself? What fits, what doesn’t fit? In the beginning, I still went to the board in a tennis shirt with poor lighting and spoke too quickly [He laughs].
I found it interesting from the beginning. I didn’t want to become an influencer or anything like that. For me, it was a vehicle to test things since my first company was classic analog tutoring. And that was really a test.
I had no revenue at the beginning and had to look at:
How do you monetize YouTube?
What options are there?
Is advertising an option when learning?
Does it perhaps annoy people?
Up to the present point, where people say: “For you, I turn off the ad blocker because the content is so high quality that I would rather endure the advertising.” The feedback is really fantastic.
From the very beginning, it was only interesting to work with the feedback in this testing playground.
MeinMMO: Your channel has now been around for over 10 years and targets young people as an audience. How has viewer behavior changed during this time? Does the “youth of today” differ from the “youth of yesterday”?
Daniel: I always try to identify differences, but fundamentally there are no generational differences in learning. Everyone has to learn somehow. Math is everywhere; everyone has to learn math.
Today, however, people are more accustomed to dealing with media. In 2011 it was still the beginning. Back then, people said about YouTube and such that it was for cat videos. So they wouldn’t go there to learn.
Today, the difference is that you know: If I need help again, then I know there are educational videos on social networks, especially organized on the YouTube platform.
Nowadays, people actively go on YouTube. Earlier, you used to google: “Help, I have a question in math, topic derivative.” Today you “youtube” so to speak, doing your search on a video platform.
This means today it’s really become a law and standard. The youth knows there are learning videos not only for math but also for other subjects. People are definitely used to taking this as an addition to learning.
MeinMMO: That’s true. I graduated in 2010 and it wouldn’t have occurred to me to search for educational videos on YouTube. We had the classic graduation books for preparation.
Daniel: Exactly. In Germany, definitely not, because it just wasn’t on the radar. Although all of that, at least in English, had already been there. Everything, every topic, just not in German. And then around 2011-13, the early adopters like me started. There were a few who said: Yes, it could also work in Germany.
MeinMMO: YouTube as a platform is also constantly changing. What specific wishes would you have as an operator of an educational channel for YouTube?
Daniel: I have countless! And I’ve been shouting them out for years. I’ve been everywhere. I was in London with YouTube; I have pitched all over.
I’ll start right at the top: A new monetization concept for educational content creators. This means that the advertising is currently not personalized enough for educational creators. They should actually receive support from all kinds of larger companies focused on advancing education.
So – they could perhaps be bundled in some way to financially support all the Daniel Jungs and Lehrer Schmidts out there so that high-quality knowledge can be provided for free. That’s point 1.
Point 2 would actually be a feature. A video eventually fails, and a livestream is eventually over. And what if you have a specific question then?
Then there would be a community effect, I’ll call it collective intelligence, in case the educational creator is offline. The comment section is only there for “Hey, you are great, you are terrible, nice weather today”.
These are just classic comment mechanisms and not an exchange for specific questions. And if you have a specific question and I am not live, my video doesn’t help, you could connect with a swarm of people and someone among them would pop in and answer it.
That would naturally be easier if there was such a mechanism directly under the video on YouTube.
Point 3 is of course the algorithm. At the moment it does eventually lead you back to the cat video. You really need a creator hub where all educational channels are. It would be possible for YouTube to carry you forward by algorithm: “You were just searching for math and statistics. You might also find this psychology video interesting.” I find that very interesting.
A look into the future: Livestreaming school with a timetable?
MeinMMO: During our email exchange, a new format of yours was teased that is being developed in collaboration with other educational channels. Can you tell us more about it?
Daniel: Yes, the initial spark was the teacher Mr. Gerold, with whom you spoke in another interview. He is at a vocational school and talks about final exams.
He made a livestream on Twitch and suddenly had a few hundred people watching. I thought: “Wow, I find that totally interesting”. I hadn’t actually been on Twitch before.
Then, based on this article, I approached him and invited him to us. He then explained what mechanisms exist on Twitch when you speak in a livestream about educational content. I said, let’s see if we can bundle teachers in a live format.
However, there are also many real teachers, encouraged by Corona, who say: “I am going into this digital world, and also in a livestream format.”
I thought: “If you can bundle these people into a livestream format.” I find that exciting. I’m not writing a media plan for the next ten years; instead, I say: “Let’s bring together those who are currently active on Twitch and let’s first chat live.”
Maybe we will build an online livestream school. On Mondays, we can have math, physics, chemistry. On Tuesdays, there can be biology – or every day there’s something, additionally helping people who might still have problems.
We are now regularly discussing this in a group and are looking at what comes of it.

The first steps for the project have already been taken.
MeinMMO: Given that technology has evolved since 2011 and, moreover, that Corona has highlighted many deficits in the digital sphere over the past years, do you think there has been a transformation within the education system? Is it moving more towards digital?
Daniel: Unfortunately, it’s dead in the water. A few failures, and a lot of money that evaporates because they fail in Germany due to application processes. If you want to change something from within the existing system, you struggle against the mechanisms of application procedures.
But with YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, etc., I don’t have to write a media plan. That means the digital revolution will come from outside, with experts from within the system, namely the teachers who have enthusiasm.
And this has been positively fueled by Corona, where many who were still skeptical then said: “Let’s make a video or a livestream.”
Also together with Mr. Gerold, whom we have also spoken with, there was a joint stream.
There are limits where you say: We will continue to meet in person. But the great thing is, we no longer have to come together in person to hear a standard one-and-a-half-hour lecture. Instead, we can do cool things together onsite.
I believe that the education system in Germany, with our federalism and so on, is very difficult to crack. But there are more and more teachers who are eager to explore the digital landscape and inspire people with knowledge in the form of livestreams, etc.
If you bundle them, they have the leverage to really ignite the digital education revolution; otherwise, everything in Germany will likely just stagnate again.
More about Twitch and YouTube on MeinMMO can be found here:
MeinMMO: Do you have any final words for our readers?
Daniel: Everyone who knows and can support educational creators: Please support them. Do shoutouts or invite them into your streams.
I find the combination of gaming and education super interesting. In Finland, Minecraft is already a subject in schools. Why can’t we achieve such a combination? You wouldn’t even think of it.
If you’re in the gaming world, you don’t think about the fact that you can also educate someone at the same time. That’s what I am fighting for. Education can really be sexy, thanks to digitalization.
What do you think of educational formats on YouTube, like those of Daniel? Have you used them yourself, or do you prefer classical methods? How would you feel about an online livestream tutoring school? Let us know in the comments.
With the release of FIFA 23, there are issues with the PC version. The “anti-cheat error” is now also clearly noticeable in the Steam reviews of the game.
FIFA 23 is supposed to represent a significant leap for players on PC. This year, the PC version is catching up with the versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, gaining new features like HyperMotion and thus enhanced gameplay and animations.
Additionally, various crossplay components have been introduced for FIFA 23. In this context, EA also presented a new anti-cheat system for FIFA 23. And that’s what’s causing problems right now.
Users are now venting their frustrations on Steam.
Anti-Cheat Error Dominates Reviews on Steam for FIFA 23
This is how FIFA 23 is currently performing on Steam: The ratings for FIFA 23 are in the red, marked as “mostly negative”. Only 31% of the approximately 3,200 reviews (as of October 1, 11:00 AM) are positive.
In comparison: FIFA 22 currently stands at 80% positive overall reviews (about 87,000) and is rated as “very positive” – even though the series is repeatedly criticized for its pack mechanics.
This is what users say: The negative reviews mainly revolve around the anti-cheat error and issues with starting the game. Many users complain that they simply cannot access the game.
These issues have persisted since the start of early access. Therefore, some criticize that there was no complete solution to the problem during this time, and that they couldn’t play during the time they spent money on EA Play or the pre-ordered Ultimate Edition.
Some users are expressing their frustration in the reviews:
“I guess the anti-cheat works, because if you can’t play, you can’t cheat,” comments user rmgerro (via Steam).
“70 euros for trying to fix the EA anti-cheat bug for hours – with no success. The game simply doesn’t start due to this issue […]” commented user MИO (via Steam).
“I can’t get on either, not last night and not now either. I’ll wait until tonight, and if I still can’t play, I’ll return the game,” writes user “Totti” (via Steam).
Currently, only in rare cases are reviews for the Steam version positive; the difficult launch is dragging down the mood. Some players who have managed to get into the game at least praise the game itself in the reviews – things like gameplay or career mode.
User “Julgine” writes, for instance: “The game itself is really well done. The new engine and crossplay are perfect on PC. There’s just one problem… The anti-cheat bug […]” (via Steam).
They are currently being investigated, and one should keep an eye on the anti-cheat page from EA Help as well as the updates in the “EA SF” tracker on Trello. Here, updates and workarounds regarding the problem should be provided as soon as available.
On the anti-cheat page, it is explained how to uninstall EA AntiCheat. For this, you search under C:Program FilesEAAC for the file “EAAntiCheat-Installer.exe”, with which you open the installer and then remove the program via “Uninstall”.
The problem: Without the anti-cheat, FIFA 23 actually doesn’t start. However, some users reported that uninstalling anti-cheat once and then reinstalling it via the launch of FIFA 23 helped as a workaround.
In the “EA Sports FIFA Tracker”, EA also describes that one should run Origin or the EA App and EA AntiCheat as an administrator, even if the game was downloaded via Steam or the Epic Games Store (via Trello).
Additionally, further errors that are currently being investigated are listed under “Investigating”.
There is an error message called “unrecoverable error” that interrupts the launch. Here, one should try to start the game via Secure Boot.
Some also encounter the “EA AntiCheat Error” during the update process. Here, one should dismiss the message and restart the game.
Other anti-cheat apps may conflict with EA AntiCheat and cause problems. They should be uninstalled.
Currently, the issues on Steam are certainly creating a negative image in the reviews. What experiences have you had with FIFA 23 on PC so far? Have you found solutions to the problems? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!

An exploit in the PvP battleground “Wintergrasp” has massive consequences for WoW WotLK Classic. There is virtually infinite honor.
With Wrath of the Lich King Classic, one of the most popular versions of World of Warcraft is available again. However, there are serious problems in the PvP battleground “Wintergrasp.” Players were able to farm almost infinite honor here. The culprit is a tiny detail that Blizzard overlooked: a supposedly unique battle is being “spammed” by the characters and results in excess honor.
What did the players do? Wintergrasp is the large battlefield in Wrath of the Lich King Classic. Every 3 hours, players can sign up for 30 minutes to participate in this battle. It is actually an epic match lasting many minutes, where one side assaults a fortress while the defenders try to hold back the attackers.
The catch is this: during these 30 minutes, players can sign up for the battle as many times as they want if they complete a match quickly. As long as it falls within the time window of that half hour, players can theoretically participate in 3, 4, or even 5 battles.

How did this work? After players discovered that they could sign up for as many matches as they wanted within the 30 minutes, a meta quickly established itself. The “defenders” simply rush out of the fortress directly into the arms of the attackers.
The attackers quickly receive the necessary buffs to then immediately strike with the powerful siege machines. There is almost no resistance, allowing the attackers to win in just under 5 minutes, which results in about 10,000 honor and some tokens from Wintergrasp.
After that, players quickly sign up again and repeat the battle. The defenders almost immediately give up and bolster the attackers to fit as many matches as possible into the 30 minutes. About 5 matches are possible this way, which amounts to 50,000 honor.
The community is angry: The player base shows extreme disappointment with this incident. The fact that some characters now possess almost all equipment that can be purchased with honor is quite a problem. This gives these players a massive advantage over their peers who did not exploit this. However, it is also controversial whether this can even be called an exploit – after all, it is not the players’ fault that they can sign up for Wintergrasp without interruption.
What is clear is that the characters who are already level 80 benefit from this. Because even though Wintergrasp can be played from level 71 onwards, honor cannot be effectively spent on equipment until level 80. Those who leveled up quickly can now equip themselves with very strong gear.
It will also be interesting to see how Blizzard deals with this problem. Because the more time passes, the more characters have enriched themselves with the honor and the associated gear. Whether sanctions will follow, the removal of collected honor and gear, or whether it will just be tolerated that a character is now “finished” in terms of PvP remains to be seen.
Did you catch wind of this exploit? Are you also currently swimming in honor? Or would you not exploit it to not ruin your fun in the game?
