The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online has received 36 updates so far. With Update 26 Greymoor, in addition to the regular item sets, which have between 2 – 5 pieces, there are also so-called mythic items. In this guide, we will give you an overview of how to obtain your desired mythic item.

In ESO, item sets (sets for weapons, equipment, and jewelry) are distinguished by their locations or whether they are craftable. Additionally, you need different numbers of items to unlock the final effect of the set. The number varies between 2 and 5 pieces.

Since Update 26 Greymoor, there is another form of item sets, the mythic items, or also: “Mythic Items”. These are one-piece sets, which can consist of either one piece of equipment or one jewelry piece.

How to Activate the Skill Lines “Scouting” and “Excavation”

How do I obtain “Mythic Items”? These items are obtained from the antiquities system. To unlock this, you must first travel to Western Skyrim to Solitude. In the southeastern part of the city, you will find the Antiquarian Circle. Once you enter the building, you can see the quest arrow above the NPC Verita Numida.

Talk to the NPC Verita Numida at the Antiquarian Circle in Solitude. You will then receive a quest that you must complete. The quest will also give you an introduction to the antiquities system of ESO. You will receive the skill lines “Scouting” and “Excavation” as soon as you complete the quest.

To obtain the mythic items, you need to level the two acquired skill lines. For the mythic items themselves, you need 5 traces, which you will first need to scout and then excavate. When scouting, you need the passive ability “Antiquarian’s Insight” to find the excavation site.

For the excavation itself, you do not need a minimum level, but the difficulty varies greatly with the activation of some passive abilities. Therefore, it is really advisable to invest some effort and gathered skill points there.

But that’s not all. Because the necessary 5 traces, which vary specifically from item to item, may require some more patience on your part. Where you can find the respective traces will be explained in the next section.

Set Effects of Mythic Items at a Glance

Unlike regular item sets, mythic items activate their bonus when wearing just a single piece. Compared to other armor, they are particularly strong for this reason. You can equip no more than one mythic item.

Mythic Item	Set Effect
Left-Hander’s Girdle	Dodging rolls no longer avoid damage from attacks, but you receive a damage shield that absorbs up to 20,990 damage for 1 second. “Fighting Spirit” has no effect on this damage shield.
Belharza’s Band	Increases the damage of your light attacks by 900. If you deal damage with consecutive light attacks, you gain up to 5 stacks of Belharza’s Madness for 10 seconds. If you perform a heavy attack at maximum strength, it consumes all stacks and deals 1,471 physical damage to all enemies in a line for each stack for 1 second. If all 5 stacks are used up, they will stun targets for an additional 3 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds and scales with your highest between Magicka or Weapon Power.
Dov-rha Boots	While sprinting, you gain one of up to 20 stacks of draconic scales every 0.5 seconds, granting you 660 armor. When you stop sprinting, you deal 152 physical damage for each stack to targets within 8 meters, gain a damage shield equal to the damage dealt, and retain draconic scales for 10 seconds, but do not gain new stacks. At 20 stacks, targets are also stunned for 3 seconds. Damage scales with your physical or spell resistance, depending on which is higher.
Oak Soul Ring	While equipped, you cannot switch between your primary and secondary weapons. You gain minor Berserk, minor Courage, major Brutality, major Sorcery, major Prophecy, major Savagery, minor Power, minor Protection, major Resolve, minor Care, minor Valor, minor Intelligence, minor Stamina Recovery, minor Heroism, minor Slaughter, minor Aegis, and Empowering.
Fate of the Reaper	If you continuously sprint for 1 second, you gain the ability to traverse through enemies. Enemies you pass through are enchanted for 4 seconds, removing their ability to attack or use skills while moving towards you. Enchanting an enemy this way grants you 678 Stamina, restores 692 Health, and breaks your invisibility.
Feast of the Deadbringer	In combat, you receive a stacking feast every 2 seconds, up to 30 stacks. Each stack increases your maximum Stamina, maximum Health, and maximum Magicka by 88. Every 4 seconds you are out of combat, you lose one stack of the stacking feast.
Chain of the Shapeshifter	Reduces the cost of your ultimate transformation abilities by 15%. While transformed, your maximum Health, maximum Stamina, and maximum Magicka are increased by 1,707.
Malacath’s Band of Brutality	Increases your damage dealt by 16%, but reduces your critical damage by 50%.
Markyn Ring of Eminence	Grants you 100 Magicka and Weapon Power and 1,157 Armor for every set you wear at least 3 pieces from.
Mora’s Whisper	Grants you a value of up to 1,528 for critical hits and allows you to gain 10% more progress on crafting, Alliance Ranks, Alliance War skills, and 15% more experience when killing NPCs. The actual values depend on how filled Shalidor’s library is for you.
Ehlnofey’s Pearls	When you use resources to perform a healing ability and are in combat while your main resource is below 30%, you gain 5 ultimate power.
Ring of the Wild Hunt	Increases your movement speed in combat by 15% and outside of combat by 45%.
Ring of the Faded Order	You heal for 20% of the damage you deal. This value decreases by 4% for every ally in your group. You may only be healed by yourself.
Snow Treader	While in combat, you are immune to slowing and immobilization effects that can be removed, but you cannot sprint.
Shoulder Pads of Doom	When you begin sneaking, it grants you a 12-meter aura of pride or removes it. Up to 6 allies in it gain 260 Magicka and Weapon Power. For each ally affected by the aura, your Health, Magicka, and Stamina regeneration is reduced by 70.
Sithis’ Sight	Grants 3,276 maximum Health, 1,025 Health regeneration, 4,000 Armor, and reduces your block mitigation to 0.
Stormweaver’s Wrath	Grants 300 Magicka regeneration. Sprinting, dodging, heavy attacks, break free, sneaking, and blocking now consume Magicka instead of Stamina. You do not regenerate Magicka while blocking, sneaking, or sprinting. You regenerate Stamina while sneaking, blocking, and sprinting.
Syrabann’s Protection	While you are wielding, you cannot move. Wielding creates a 12 meter area of protection. Allies within this area have their block mitigation increased by 30% and their Health regeneration by 950. (The block mitigation and Health regeneration only apply to allies, not the bearer of the set. If you combine “Shield Wall” with this effect, you will not be able to move while the ultimate ability is active.)
Thrasian Chokers	If you kill an enemy, you gain 1 hour of up to 50 lasting stacks of Kraken’s Call. Each stack increases your Magicka and Weapon Power by 23, reduces your maximum Health by 120, and decreases the effectiveness of your damage shields by 1%. Kraken’s Call is removed if you unequip the Thrasian Chokers, become invisible, or sneak.
Torques of Resonance	If you have less than 50% Stamina, your Magicka regeneration is increased by 450. If you have less than 50% Magicka, your Stamina regeneration is increased by 450.
Embrace of the Blood Prince	If you deal damage with a heavy attack, an enemy is affected by a lingering, unremovable Blood Curse. There can only be one enemy with Blood Curse at a time. If you deal further heavy damage, the Blood Curse transfers. If you block an attack from an enemy with Blood Curse, you restore 1,605 Magicka. This effect can occur once every second.
Harpooner’s Watkilt	If you deal direct damage, you gain a stacking Hunter’s Focus for 1 minute, up to 10 stacks. You can only gain one stack per second, and each increases your critical hit rating by 125 and your critical damage by 1%. If you take direct damage, 5 stacks are removed once per second. If you unequip the Harpooner’s Watkilt, all stacks are lost.
Serpent’s Wrap	As long as you have full Health, you gain 40% damage reduction. If you take damage while at full Health in combat, you gain Snake’s Wrath for 10 seconds, slowing you down by 40% while granting major Berserk and major Courage, which increases your damage dealt by 10% and your Magicka & Weapon Power by 430. The damage resistance does not apply while Snake’s Wrath is active.
