Affixes in World of Warcraft are making dungeons a worse place. At least that’s what Bellular says – and it resonates with the community.
In the endgame of World of Warcraft, there are a handful of activities that players can engage in. Those who enjoy dungeons dive into “Mythic+” and must master an instance on ever-increasing difficulty levels within a time limit. The higher the difficulty, the more negative effects, called “affixes”, are added.

The dungeon is hard enough by itself. When one dies or fails because of an affix, it feels artificial. It’s not the dungeon that caused the wipe, but the “bullshit” combination of affixes.
The entry barrier is huge. Mythic+ with changing affixes is “normal” for players who have been playing it for years. But weekly changing affixes without a way to learn it in a “safe” environment are massively discouraging. New World has finally revealed how it intends to proceed with the MMORPG in the long term. The focus is on updates that will be released every 3 months. They will include new storylines, as well as new features such as a dungeon. These updates will be combined with season passes. Additionally, a large expansion with mounts has been announced for Fall 2023.
What exactly does New World’s plan look like? New World will receive a major update every 3 months from now on. The first patch in this rhythm will be released on March 28 and will bring:

Nevertheless, the content plan for 2023 sounds significantly better than in the previous year. The biggest problems have been resolved and now the focus is strongly on new story and new content. This should make New World especially interesting for veterans and frequent players this year.
Season Pass promises unique rewards and boosters, but no Pay2Win
How is the season pass structured exactly? The new pass comes with a total of 100 reward levels. You increase these levels by collecting season XP. You earn this for completing special tasks during a season, but also for faction missions, city quests, dungeons, and PvP.
Additionally, a so-called stamp card will be introduced. On this card, you will find various daily tasks that you can “stamp”. Each stamp gives season XP. However, you will earn more experience points if you achieve “BINGO” – that is, complete a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

5 Tips if you want to start with New World in 2023
You level both passes – free and premium – simultaneously, although you must have reached level 25 for the premium pass. However, if you purchase the premium pass afterward, you will retroactively receive all rewards.
The season pass is intended to keep players engaged for a while, but the average player should not need 3 months to receive all rewards. It also applies region-wide. You can progress the pass with multiple characters together in Europe. However, if you switch to American servers, you will have to start over with the pass.
How much does the premium pass cost? It costs 20,000 luck tokens – equivalent to 19.50 euros. The tokens are available for purchase in that exact number.
In the free pass, you will receive a variety of helpful rewards, including new skins, luck tokens, emotes, seasonal weapons and armor, shadow shards, gypsum orbs, and material supplies.
In the premium pass, there will also be shadow shards, gypsum orbs, and materials as well as additional, unique skins.

In what order should DLCs be played? After exploring a bit, you can consider which Destiny expansions you want to play. You can play basically any DLC, but the order in which they come is significant.
For this, there is a practical overview in the game in the form of a timeline.
Here, new players can see the order in which the expansions were released and thus also in which order they should be played. Through the timeline, you can also revisit old story missions and better understand what happened.

Do I have to repurchase all DLCs? Not necessarily in terms of the story. Destiny 2 now offers an interactive video after each expansion. Important details are summarized again. However, it’s still better to experience everything in the game itself.

Stasis, for example, is only unlockable if you own the “Beyond Light” DLC.

This saves real money in Destiny 2: Particularly convenient for new players is the so-called Legacy Edition of Destiny 2. This three-part package contains three DLCs at a low price. With it, you can secure 3 of the currently 5 available expansions cheaply.
The Legacy Edition includes all related weapons and access to additional activities such as raids, exotic missions, as well as previous gear. And through “Beyond Light,” you also gain access to Stasis, the ice ability in Destiny 2. It’s basically a all-in-one package.
What happened to the Forsaken DLC and its campaign? The Forsaken DLC has turned into a ‘Forsaken Pack’ and now only grants access to a large number of Exotics. However, since 2023, you can replay the last mission from Forsaken in the game to know what it’s about. Additionally, players can play in the Dreaming City and the raid “Last Wish” as well as the dungeon “The Shattered Throne.”
Here is the current order of the DLCs:

“The Final Shape” is the last DLC of the Light and Darkness saga and will be released in June 2024.

To avoid losing track, the aforementioned timeline in the game also shows you what you have already purchased. You are therefore not forced to buy everything at once.
We also recommend purchasing the deluxe editions directly. This involves the least effort since it includes everything important, including the dungeons. Buying all of this separately is significantly more expensive. Moreover, it’s always worth comparing prices with the offers from your respective platform provider.

How understandable is the rest of the Destiny universe in 2023? Since Witch Queen, Destiny 2 has made significant progress in making it easier for new players.
Old DLCs are no longer being removed, so all can be played. This change starts with the DLC “Shadowkeep.”
In 2022, the many different target materials were discontinued. There are now only three materials and a few very special items: Glimmer, Legendary Shards, and Enhancement Prisms, as well as exclusive currencies such as Ascendant Shards. In 2024, the Legendary Shards will also disappear from the currencies.
FOMO (“Fear of missing out”) has been significantly reduced, so you don’t feel as frustrated if you miss certain loot, exotics, or opportunities. You can focus on old armors and weapons with vendors to get them later.

Complete all seasonal introductory quests.
These need to be played through for each character and can contain a surprising amount of stories. They will be displayed on your map in the top left as a small icon.
Find and complete every Lost Sector at least once and also talk to every NPC in the game that you can discover.
If you do not own the current season pass, still try to reach at least rank 35 to secure the exotic weapon. If you don’t earn it within the season, it will be behind a paywall.
Learn which material drops from activities and objectives. This helps you know where to get something specific and where not.
Always complete the quest bounties you receive from Ada-1 in the Tower. This will allow you to create armor ornaments via transmog later.

What bonuses are involved? Due to the Corona pandemic, many trainers were unable to go outside and play the game in its original form. Therefore, Niantic introduced various bonuses to facilitate this. One of them was remote raids.
With the help of special remote raid passes, trainers have been able to participate in unlimited raids in other regions in recent years. They no longer had to leave their homes, unlike normal raids, and could play comfortably from home.
However, this may change soon. After a first finding regarding restrictions on raids shocked trainers, there are now further indications of drastic changes from Niantic. We have summarized for you what these changes are and when they might take effect.
Higher prices and restrictions on remote raids soon
What was found? As discovered by the PokeMiners, a group of data miners, several days ago in the source code of Pokémon GO, the developers are planning adjustments regarding remote raids. There will be a limitation on the possible daily remote raids.
Now the PokeMiners have found further clues that clarify this further. The reddit user drakepig shares the following tweet from the data miners in his post on reddit:
They write (via reddit.com): “Last week it was said that with the start of the new season, this nerf would be introduced, along with a price increase for remote raid passes. Based on further findings today, the number of remote raids is 6 per day, at 150 coins each. We will have to wait and see if this becomes true.”
What does the finding mean? It indicates that Niantic may make remote raids more difficult in the coming weeks. Remote raids would then only be possible in limited quantities, and the purchase of new passes would cost 50 coins more than before. As a result, the premium battle passes, which allow you to play on-site, would be cheaper for the first time since the introduction of remote raid passes.
Trainers who find this daily amount insufficient or who simply find the passes too expensive would be forced to complete raids on-site again. It is useful if you have networked with other players locally. How this is possible via Campfire is shown in the following article:
When might the change happen? A change of this kind would be conceivable for the start of the new season. This begins on March 1, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time.
Whether and when the changes will actually be implemented is currently unknown. As the PokeMiners themselves say, there is still hope that Niantic will reconsider and not implement the changes.
However, such a change would not be the first of its kind. Niantic has gradually removed the home bonuses from the Corona period over the past two years. In particular, the controversial PokéStop change caused a lot of backlash from the community in 2021 and was ultimately reversed by the developers.
