The problem is also that the 16-year-old plays “only” on an older Full HD display. For an RTX 4090, he would need a significantly better display with WQHD or 4K, to make it even worthwhile. A weaker graphics card would be a much more sensible choice there.
Some additionally criticize that 32 GB of RAM is also too much. 16 GB would be completely sufficient for his games.
A gaming PC for 1,500 euros would more than meet his needs. Moreover, he could still upgrade a gaming PC later if the graphics card is not sufficient.
In most cases, however, it applies: An upgrade is still possible. A graphics card can be exchanged just like a processor, as long as the motherboard fits. RAM or an SSD can also be added later.
